The Start of the 2nd Week

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

March 9, 2024

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah, this Sabbath is the first of the Sabbath of counting the Omer.

We arrived home from Israel late Thursday and then worked on this newsletter Friday. So it is a bit late. Randy and I spent each day in Israel searching many fields and locations from north to south and east to west and reported on most of the locations we saw. They were long 8 hour days every day. May this sumation that follows be a blessing to you all.

Torah Portion

Torah Portions

We read through the entire Torah along with the Prophets and the New Testament, once over the course of 3 1/2 years. Or according to the Sabbatical Cycle which means we read it all twice over a 7-year period. This allows us to cover more in-depth rather than being rushed to cover as much as is covered on an annual basis. We allow all to comment and take part in the discussions.

Septennial Torah Portion

If you go to Torah Portion at our archived section, you can then go to the 7th year which is the 7th year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every News Letter. There you can scroll down to the proper date, and see that this Shabbat we could very well be midrashing about:

Genesis 4

Joshua 10-11

Psalm 7-8

Matthew 6-7:12

As we approach the end of the year we are doubling up on our Torah Portions so that we can fit them all in before the year ends. We thought we had an Adar Bet and four more weeks. I am not sure we do so we are going to double up.

If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section, you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers songs and teaching from this hour.

Shabbat Services will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.

On the Holy Day, Passover Monday February 26, 2024, we will be having two meetings. One at 10 AM Eastern and the afternoon will be 2 PM Eastern. Look forward to seeing you all there.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Joseph Dumond is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

The Perpetual Calendar

The Perpetual Calendar

We have available from our website a calendar you can use to keep track of the days of the month based on when the Barley is ripe and when the moon is sighted. ALl you have to do is download it. https://sightedmoon.com/perpetual-calendar/

With the new year about to begin, you can learn about the calendar as you record it. This is a great tool to have and it is free to anyone who wants it.

Randy Cates Testimony About the Barley 2024

Randy Cates Testimony About the Barley Search for 2024

Another year of checking for barley in the fields of Israel is in the books, and man, what a rush it is working for and serving our Creator! This was my 3rd year in a row to be a witness, and it was the hardest one yet trying to find ripe barley in time for Wave Sheaf Day in order to start the new year because the country is at war! Lev_23:9-14 We were in areas where the concussions from the bombs, or ordinances was so loud we were hitting the deck several times, probably not the smartest thing we’ve ever done but it had to be done. Staying in constant prayer was all we knew to do and YEHOVAH settled us down to where we could focus on the job at hand! Please pray for the soldiers and those still held captive!
Joe and I were on a mission to cover and document the region, driving almost 2600 kilometres, to find the “omer” required to start the year or declare the much-expected Adar Bet; either way it was fine by us. We just wanted to obey and keep the calendar at the right time.
While we were there we brought another witness with us, Becca, who I witnessed the barley with the last 2 years, to see what she had been keeping an eye on to confirm what she was saying and also to look in other areas we had as well in the past. Many places were borderline of being ready while also in the same fields, the barley was still a few weeks out, so what do you do? Keep looking is what you do till you run out of time and have to make the call! After many days and many miles, we were able to find the area that had what we needed to start the new year!

This year was different because our cut-off date was the last day of Unleavened Bread, so we had to keep the Passover before we knew if we had the offering or not! We had to stretch our faith like never before, but we were rewarded for it after all, not needing to do a repeat next month! What a Father we have, man o man I can’t explain the rush and the responsibility it has being His witness! I’m truly humbled that our Creator used me again for such a huge event! I have no words to explain the awesomeness of it all! The last 2 years I was in learning mode and this year I am very confident in knowing what ripe barley is and is not. Thank you to the 2 that trained me on what to look for! When it comes down to it, really anybody can do this. You just got to get out there and do it. You can see it, but mostly, you have to feel it and then, of course, open it up to see if it’s in the dough stage required to make it through the fire to be able to grind it to powder to make the offering. I so loved doing this for those who can’t make the journey and please know I’m not influenced one way or the other because I understand the consequences for being a false witness. Our King knows all, so why would I say anything different than what I have seen with my own eyes, felt with my hands, and opened the barley for myself because I don’t want to be in trouble with Him or with you as well! I pray YEHOVAH makes a way for more to come out next year to be a part of this exciting event so you can see and know for yourself how easy this really is. Why do I say it’s easy? Because it is. It’s either ready or it’s not, just that simple. The hard part is knowing what is to come after you make the call. I’m not here to say anything else except what I saw for myself and man o man, what a year this one was! I can honestly say we had the amount needed to make the Wave Sheaf offering, so now we can celebrate our Creators calendar at the right time! Shout out again to Becca for being apart of this and a HUGE shout out to my brother and friend Joseph Dumond who is also my teacher for being a part this year. Brother, I love you dearly for your zeal and fire for serving our King! I have grown so much in the Scriptures these last few years with you like never before and I’m already ready to do this again next year! Wait, slow it down and enjoy the year! Please, brother, don’t change and keep up the good work you do for the brethren in teaching us His Torah only! One last thing is to say thank you to my queen for MAKING me do this again! I love you baby! Joe said thank you as well!

Shalom

Joseph F Dumond's Testimony About the Barley 2024

Joseph F Dumond’s Testimony About the Barley 2024

This year, because of the war in Israel I had no desire to go to Israel to search for the Barley. I was there when the war began Oct 7, 2023 and now Israel is still fighting on 7 fronts against a foe the likes of which are indescribable should they ever prevail. Bible prophecy says the children of Esau will indeed prevail for a very short time over all of mankind.
After our last report, which I will share below, a lot of trash talk was made against my friend Randy Cates and myself about our testimony about finding more than an Omer’s worth of barley in time for Wave Sheaf Day—armchair quarterbacks who never get off the couch, as well as from our “friend” Becca.

I have been doing the Barley search since 2005 when I first learned about it from Nehemia Gordon. He was the one who brought back this ancient method to begin the year and to then know when the Holy Days are. It was during these early years that Nehemia said if he could find a hand full of barley, he would declare the month of Aviv. In 2016, Nehemia retired from the search, and his ex-wife took over. Her name is Devorah. It was about this time that the parameters for declaring began to change as well. It went from a handful to a field full to now a nation full. Nehemia had also established that the barely had to be Aviv by the end of the 12th month. Once it was Aviv by the end of the 12th month, then after the new moon was seen, then could Passover be determined.

It all seemed so right up until that time. It has always been my understanding that the Barley had to be Aviv by Wave Sheaf Day, as that is the only reason for having it. That one little ceremony in Lev 23.

Lev 23:9 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Lev 23:10 Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest of it, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest.

Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah to be received for you. On the next day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

Lev 23:12 And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to Jehovah.

Lev 23:13 And its food offering shall be two-tenths part of fine flour mixed with oil, a fire offering to Jehovah for a sweet savor. And the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.

Lev 23:14 And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the same day, until you have brought an offering to your God. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Becca’s reporting of the Barley in 2015, leading up to 2016, convinced me the barley would be ready by Wave Sheaf Day in 2016. This meant I would be splitting from the Karaites who added an Adar Beit that year, and for me, this was a huge deal. But then Nehemia went out on what was our Wave Sheaf Day and did a video confirming the barley was indeed Aviv. He confirmed our beliefs. Becca’s harmonization of the seven species of the Land of Israel with the Feast of Yehovah was also of interest to me and lined up not only in 2016, but in each year up until 2023. Since 2016,  we have been one month ahead of the Karaite groups. Also, in 2023, Devorah declared an Adar Beit and went two months out from us, which caused the rest of the Karaites and Michael Roods people to split from her and go the month before.

This year, leading up to the start of 2024, we again relied on Becca’s reports. On January 10, 2023, she reported that the barley was out of the boot already and flowering. After this, I began to hear certain things she was saying in her messages that caused me concern. Randy and I discussed going to search for the barley, but I was leaning in favour of not going.

Then on February 20, 2023, Becca declared an Adar Beit, because February 20th would have been the 10th day of the month when the lambs were selected. Her new position caught me by surprise as I had not heard her state this new takanot before. You do not need barley by the 10th day of the month. You only need barley by Wave Sheaf Day. This year, Wave Sheaf Day was going to come on the very last day of Unleavened Bread, which is the 21st day of the month, March 3, 2024. This was a full 13 days after Becca’s declaration.

I was now concerned about her being biased in any future reporting, due to her new position. This new position left me with no one searching for the barley who believed that the barley must be ready by Wave Sheaf Day. Becca said she would go out on our behalf if she had to. Again, I did not feel confident in her searching on our behalf. It was only after Becca’s declaration and a day of praying that Randy and I decided to come and find out for ourselves. We left on Thursday and Arrived on Friday, February 23.

We went out on Sabbath, February 24, to do a short preliminary search and found enough barley to declare this the month of Aviv that day. But by the time we concluded our services around midnight, I had no time left to prepare the video for the public. It was already Footwashing after the Sabbath and Preparation day for Passover on Sunday. Randy and I did another exhaustive search Sunday and again found barley and posted a video. Then we all had to decide if we were going to keep Passover or not, not knowing if the barley was ready. This year it was a pure test of faith. I advised our readership to keep it based on the number of days it takes for barley to ripen based on the January 10 first report stating it was in the flowering stage. This meant it would indeed be ready by Wave Sheaf Day on March 3, 2024. All we had to do was find enough of it.

Here again is our first report.

Randy and I paid our own airfare to go. About $2000 each. We rented a car for the two weeks we would be searching-about $1800, We rented an Air BnB room for the 2 weeks, another $1700. Then there was about $60 in gas each and every day, and meals of about $200 a day. All in we are over $11,000 to do this search on behalf of the brethren and to do it in a time of war. If knowing the truth about the barley is important to you, then I hope you will help to support us in this and then again next year as we will be alone next year as well. If it is not important, then continue to doing as you were.

Each day began at 7 AM and we were out the door looking by 8 AM. We would return home by about 5 PM. Each day, Randy drove the car all day, stopping and going down back roads wherever I said to go. It was a full-time search we did in the North, the East, the West, and the South. We went out each and every day searching for the Barley except the two High Holy Days. We drove all the way to Becca’s place and picked her up to tour with us for three days and two nights. We took care of all her meals during this time, giving her a bed in our apartment and then drove her back home, not letting her take the bus or train. We had also asked Devorah and Yoel to join us but we did not hear back from them.

Randy and I even went to the Temple Mount Institute to ask the Rabbi who had done the Barley searches for the Temple in Rukhama to join us. We went above and beyond to work with all the barley searchers.

Becca had made her declaration, and there was no need for her to state anything else. While we made our second report, Becca stood beside us, agreeing that the barley in that area was almost Aviv and would be what she considered Aviv in just a few more days, which would have been our Wave Sheaf Day.

Once we took Becca home she kept asking when I would publish my report so she could then comment on it. There was no need to comment as she had already made her decision. I felt this was odd. I did not get it done until Friday, March 1, 2024.

Here it is.

It was after this report that the mud-slinging began. Armchair quarterbacks who have never been to Israel critiquing all we did and why we did it. Then Randy and I decided we needed to get even more proof the barley was Aviv to testify to our speaking the truth. We did, and this is the final report we published on March 5, 2024, two days after Wave Sheaf Day.

I have had many write to me confused about when the year begins. The month when the Passover takes place is the month of Aviv. The MONTH OF GREEN EARS.

Exo 12:2 This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.

The same day as the death angel passed over was the day Israel left Egypt and the month was the month of Aviv.

Exo 13:3 And Moses said to the people, Remember this day in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. For Jehovah brought you out from this place by the strength of His hand. There shall be no leaven eaten.

Exo 13:4 You are going out this day in the month Abib.

Aviv or Abib is also mentioned in these verses Exo 23:15, Exo 34:18; Deu 16:1-3

What does the word Aviv mean?

H24   (Strong) אָבִיב  ‘âbı̂yb aw-beeb’

From an unused root (meaning to be tender); green, that is a young ear of grain; hence the name of the month Abib or Nisan: – Abib, ear, green ears of corn.

H24   (Brown-Driver-Briggs) אביב  ‘âbı̂yb

BDB Definition:

1) fresh, young barley ears, barley

2) month of ear-forming, of greening of crop, of growing green Abib, month of exodus and passover

B) Bba% (Bba% ABB) ac: ? co: Grain ab: ?

bm) Biba% (Biba% A-BYB) – Green Grain: The new green ears of growing grain as the parent seeds attached to the stalk (pole) of the next generation of crops. Also Abib, the name of a month in the Hebrew calendar. [freq. 8] |kjv: abib, corn| {H24}

NOTICE; IT IS TALKING ABOUT THE TIME WHEN THE BARLEY IS GREEN!!!

IT IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THE BARLEY BEING BROWN OR IS SHATTERING OR BRITTLE!!!

IT IS TENDER, NOT BRITTLE!!

We are to be looking for the month when the barley is green, not brown and shattering.

BUT…

The Barley must be at a stage when the dough can be roasted and turned into flour as shown to us in Leviticus 2. This is anywhere after day 81 of the Zadok scale below.

In the following two pictures, the Barley is turning a golden brown. It is now two days past Wave Sheaf Day. This barley is ready to be turned into dough. We could easily pick an omers worth in just this one location. We have already reported about two other areas that were ready on the first day of Passover this year. We do not need fields of ripe barley. We only need an omers worth to offer on behalf of the nation. Then the rest of the farmers can harvest when their fields are ripe, and they will not lose them to shattering because they had to wait.

Hail can easily destroy barley in the head. You do not have to wait until it is brown and brittle; hail can also destroy the barley that has headed and flowering.

So green ears of barley are what determines the month of Aviv, green ears. But they have to be ripe enough to make dough on Wave Sheaf Day. We are not looking for brown ears of barley to begin the month. That is not green ears or what the word Aviv means.

Since 2016 and even before, the Karaites have been one month late to begin the year. In 2023, Devorah’s group became two months late. Now, those following Becca will be one month late in 2024.

You do not find brown ripe ears of barley and then watch for the new moon to then determine the month of Aviv after that. No, you watch for the month with the first green ears that can be turned into flour. That is the month of Aviv, green ears. If we all lived in the land you would know just by looking out the window which month is Aviv, the month of Green Ears of Barley. That would be when the barley is heading out of the boot and has enough time to develop the dough for Wave Sheaf Day. If the dough does not materialize, then we must postpone one month.

Last week, we showed you how the Red Sea had walls like glaciers on either side as Israel went through it. We also stated to you that the Jordan was also heaped up caused by Ice jams and how Peter heated himself by the fire because it was cold out. Cold weather does not stop the barley from growing nor does rain slow it down as some are saying. Next month, which begins Sunset on March 11, 2024, is going to be the month when everything turns brown from the heat… so listen to the future reports and understand what they are showing you. Look at the facts. Our pictures above and our videos are facts. No one is attacking our facts. Instead, they attack me and Randy’s characters or teachings or anything except the facts. Our Facts speak volumes. We drove over 2600 km to search the entire country of Israel looking for barley, and we reported it to you as we found it and where we found it. Those are facts.

Yoel HaLevi has his own standards which he looks for.  Devorah has her own standards. And now Becca has hers. We have no one looking out for our standards, free from all the takanot and Mai’asim people want to add to the Torah, in order to keep the Passover in the proper time. I want to urge each and everyone of you to consider coming to Israel 12 months from now and searching for the barley. We are now forced to do our own search going forward. Will you be one of the pioneers in the restoration of the calendar of Yehovah? Once we have the whole nations doing this, there will be no need for us individuals to go out. But we are not there yet. Consider joining Randy and I next year in Jerusalem.

Counting the Omer Week Two

Counting the Omer Week Two

Sunday March 3, 2024 is יוֹם הֲנָפַת הָעֹמֶר Yom Hanafat Ha’omer (Day of the Waving of the Sheaf).

When the Temple stood this day marked the official commencement of the grain harvest

Deuteronomy 16:9 You shall count seven weeks to yourselves. Begin to count the seven weeks from the time you began to put the sickle to the grain.
And sheaves of barley were cut and brought to the Temple as a wave-offering on Wave Sheaf Day. It is done on behalf of the nation. One Omer’s worth is two dry litres of flour.

Leviticus 23:9-14  9 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 10 Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest of it, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah to be received for you. On the next day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to Jehovah. 13 And its food offering shall be two-tenths part of fine flour mixed with oil, a fire offering to Jehovah for a sweet savor. And the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. 14 And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the same day, until you have brought an offering to your God. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
This day also marks the beginning of the 50-day count to חַג הַשָּׁבֻעוֹת Shavuot (Pentecost; Feast of Weeks). Yom Hanafat Ha’omer is counted as Day 1 and Shavuot as Day 50.

There are different methods of counting the 50 days. According to some, the commandment ‘and you shall count for yourselves fifty days’ means to simply observe the 50th day as Shavuot, while others actually declare out loud the number of each of the fifty days. A medieval Karaite Jewish practice combines two methods of declaring the daily count. The first method is the counting of seven weeks. Each day, the number of the week and the number of the day in the week are declared. So for example, the first day is ‘first day of the first week’. The second counting method used is an overall number for each day. In this method Day one is ‘the first day’ and Day 25 is ‘the twenty-fifth day’. These two methods are used to satisfy the commandment to count seven weeks (Deuteronomy 16:9) as well as the commandment to count fifty days (Leviticus 23:16). Below is a list of the counting for each day.

Lev 23:15 And you shall count to you from the next day after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete.

Lev 23:16 To the next day after the seventh sabbath you shall number fifty days. And you shall offer a new food offering to Jehovah.

You are to count seven sabbaths, as we are commanded in verse 15, and 50 days, as we are told in verse 16. In Deuteronomy, we are commanded to count from the time we put the sickle to the grain.

Deu 16:9 You shall count seven weeks to yourselves. Begin to count the seven weeks from the time you began to put the sickle to the grain.

If you get the timing wrong about when the month of Aviv begins, then people will declare you can cut the barley and store it. This is not what Deut 16:9 says. When you put the sickle to the grain, you begin to count. But you are also told to take the barley on the first day of the week during the days of Unleavened Bread. It is because they have errored about when Aviv is that the other groups all say you can harvest anytime and store the grain and then later make your first fruits offering. Understand and know the facts.

WEEK TWO | 2 שבוע Day Eight | Devotion To the Law of Yehovah | Psalm 119:57-64

Today is the first day of the second week of seven weeks. Today is the eighth day of the counting of fifty days from the day of the waving of the Omer on the morrow after the Sabbath.

Second Passover

Second Passover

The Passover Celebrated

Num 9:1  And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

Num 9:2  Let the sons of Israel also keep the Passover at its appointed time.

Num 9:3  In the fourteenth day of this month, between the evenings, you shall keep it in its appointed time. You shall keep it according to all its statutes, and according to all the ceremonies of it.

Num 9:4  And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel to prepare the Passover.

Num 9:5  And they prepared the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month between the evenings, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so all the sons of Israel did.

Num 9:6  And there were certain men who were defiled by the dead body of a man, so that they could not prepare the Passover on that day. And they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day.

Num 9:7  And those men said to him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back that we may not offer an offering of Jehovah in its appointed time among the sons of Israel?

Num 9:8  And Moses said to them, You wait, and I will hear what Jehovah will command about you.

Num 9:9  And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

Num 9:10  Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean because of a dead body, or in a journey afar off, he shall still keep the Passover to Jehovah.

Num 9:11  They shall keep it the fourteenth day of the second month at evening, eating it with unleavened cakes and bitter herbs.

Num 9:12  They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break any bone of it. According to all the ordinances of the Passover they shall keep it.

Num 9:13  But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and holds back from preparing the Passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people. Because he did not bring the offering of Jehovah in His appointed time, that man shall bear his sin.

Num 9:14  And if a stranger shall live among you, and prepares the Passover to Jehovah, he shall do according to the ordinance of the Passover, and according to its ordinance. You shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger and for him that was born in the land.

This year 2024 has been a testing year in the first year of the 10 Years of Awe. It is a time of judging by Yehovah. I know the calendar issues are hard to understand at times, and when you have people you trust bringing a different reports, it becomes even harder. I know Hezekiah got to do a do-over with the remnant of Israel and keep the second Passover when they all missed the first one.

Passover Celebrated

2Ch 30:1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Jehovah, the God of Israel.

2Ch 30:2 And the king and his leaders, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, took counsel to keep the Passover in the second month.

2Ch 30:3 For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not made themselves pure enough, nor had the people gathered to Jerusalem.

2Ch 30:4 And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.

2Ch 30:5 And they established a decree to send a notice throughout all Israel, from Beer-sheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Jehovah, the God of Israel at Jerusalem. For not many of themhad done as it was written.

2Ch 30:6 And the runners went with the letters from the king and his rulers to Israel and Judah, and according to the command of the king, saying, O sons of Israel, turn again to Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and He will return to the remnant of you who have escaped out of the hands of the king of Assyria.

2Ch 30:7 And do not be like your fathers and like your brothers who sinned against Jehovah, the God of their fathers, and He made them for a horror, as you see.

2Ch 30:8 And do not be stiffnecked like your fathers. Yield yourselves to Jehovah and enter into His temple which He has sanctified forever. And serve Jehovah your God, so that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you.

2Ch 30:9 For if you turn again to Jehovah, your brothers and your sons will have mercies before those who lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land. For Jehovah your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.

2Ch 30:10 And the runners passed from city to city in the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun. But they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.

2Ch 30:11 However, men from Asher and Manasseh and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

2Ch 30:12 Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the command of the king and of the rulers, by the Word of Jehovah.

2Ch 30:13 And many people gathered at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month, a very great congregation.

2Ch 30:14 And they arose and took away the altars in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense they took away, and threw them into the torrent Kidron.

2Ch 30:15 And they killed the Passover on the fourteenth of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed and made themselves pure, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of Jehovah.

2Ch 30:16 And they stood in their place in their manner, according to the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests sprinkled the blood from the hand of the Levites.

2Ch 30:17 For many in the congregation were not sanctified. And the Levites were over the killing of the passovers for every one who was not clean, to sanctify them to Jehovah.

2Ch 30:18 For many of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not been cleansed, but ate the Passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, May the good LORD pardon everyone

2Ch 30:19 who prepares his heart to seek God, Jehovah, the God of his fathers, though not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.

2Ch 30:20 And Jehovah listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.

2Ch 30:21 And the sons of Israel found at Jerusalem kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness. And the Levites and the priests praised Jehovah day by day with loud instruments to Jehovah.

2Ch 30:22 And Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of Jehovah. And they ate the appointed things seven days, offering peace offerings and making confession to Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

2Ch 30:23 And the whole gathering agreed to keep another seven days. And they kept another seven days with gladness.

2Ch 30:24 For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the congregation a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep. And the rulers gave to the congregation a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep. And a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

2Ch 30:25 And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.

2Ch 30:26 And there was great joy in Jerusalem. For from the days of Solomon the son of David the king of Israel there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.

2Ch 30:27 And the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people. And their voice was heard, and their prayer came to His holy dwelling-place, to Heaven.

It is also my understanding that Noah buried his grandfather Methuselah, who was born in 687 after Creation and died at the age of 969. This means he died in the year of the flood. If Noah had to bury his Grandfather in 1656, then it is possible it was during the time of or just before Passover in the first month. For this reason, I speculate that Noah could not keep the first Passover but kept it in the second month on the 15th day. After the Holy Day was kept, then the waters were let loose on the 17th day of the 2nd month.

Gen 7:11  In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, in this day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of the heavens were opened up.

The dates for the second Passover this year will be on March 26, starting the night before. Ask Yehovah if this is OK to do and celebrate it with Him at this time. He will know your heart. The testing is going to get even harder as we get closer to the end. If you are keeping March 26 as the 2nd Passover date, then all the other Holy Days are counted from the Firat Passover or month of Aviv and not the second. So Shavuot will still be on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

We have explained how there are many people who keep the commandments in the book of Revelation, and yet they do not flee with the woman into the wilderness. Those who don’t flee are then martyred by the Beast. Why do they not flee? I propose it is because they are keeping Passover one month later. Does that sound exactly like the problem we are wrestling with this year? It is time to take Yehovah very seriously; in just 6 more years, this final test will happen, but those on the wrong side will be martyred. I am not trying to scare you, but I am telling all of you to come to grips with all the calendar issues and begin to understand how to determine the holy days. Your lives depend on it.

Rev 12:13  And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who bore the man child .

Rev 12:14  And two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the serpent’s face.

Rev 12:15  And the serpent cast out of his mouth water like a flood after the woman, so that he might cause her to be carried away by the river.

Rev 12:16  And the earth helped the woman. And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Rev 12:17  And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

'Ramadan - Month of Jihad' : Ramadan Will Not Stop Hamas From Killing Jews

‘Ramadan – Month of Jihad’ : Ramadan Will Not Stop Hamas From Killing Jews

by Bassam Tawil

  • On March 5, Biden warned of potential problems without a ceasefire deal by Ramadan. “There’s got to be a ceasefire because Ramadan – if we get into circumstances where this continues to Ramadan, Israel and Jerusalem could be very, very dangerous,” he told reporters in Washington.

  • Such statements are undoubtedly based on the extremely false assumption that Muslims do not engage in wars and armed conflicts during the month of fasting. In fact, the opposite is true. As the New York Times reported “It is widely believed that the rewards earned for noble acts are greater during Ramadan….”

  • Hamas… even published an article entitled, “Ramadan – The Month of Jihad, Fighting, and Victory over the Enemies.”

  • Throughout history, Muslims have taken advantage of Ramadan to wage war against their enemies. Five historic Islamic battles were fought in the month of Ramadan: Battle of Badr, Conquest of Mecca, Battle of Tabuk, Battle of Amin Jalut, and Battle of Hattin.

  • Those who believe that Hamas seeks a ceasefire ahead of Ramadan are deluding themselves. Those who are concerned about the sanctity of the holy month ought to listen to what the terrorists themselves are saying: Ramadan actually increases their desire for Jewish blood.

Those who believe that Hamas seeks a ceasefire ahead of Ramadan are deluding themselves. Throughout history, Muslims have taken advantage of Ramadan to wage war against their enemies. For example, during Ramadan of 2016, two Palestinian cousins, Mohammed and Khalil Mukhamara, carried out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market, murdering four Israelis and wounding 40 others. International mediators and world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, are hoping to secure a ceasefire deal between Israel and the Iran-backed Hamas terror group before the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which starts on March 10.

On March 5, Biden warned of potential problems without a ceasefire deal by Ramadan. “There’s got to be a ceasefire because Ramadan – if we get into circumstances where this continues to Ramadan, Israel and Jerusalem could be very, very dangerous,” he told reporters in Washington.

Such statements are undoubtedly based on the extremely false assumption that Muslims do not engage in wars and armed conflicts during the month of fasting. In fact, the opposite is true. As the New York Times reported “It is widely believed that the rewards earned for noble acts are greater during Ramadan….”

“In the holy month of Ramadan,” according to fatwa 1566/10013/L=1431, “the reward of virtues is increased.”

Uninformed Western statements also ignore that Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups have never hesitated to use Jewish holidays to wage war, carry out terrorist attacks and murder Jews, including October 7, 2023, which was the Jewish Sabbath and the Simchat Torah holiday — not to mention the launch of the Yom Kippur War by Egypt and Syria.

Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups have long been using Ramadan to carry out terrorist attacks against Israel.

Hamas, through its military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, even published an article entitled, “Ramadan – The Month of Jihad, Fighting, and Victory over the Enemies.”

During the fasting month of Ramadan, Hamas claimed, “the Jihad fighter dedicates himself to the study of Islam by day he sets forth to defend his homeland, Palestine, by night.”

The article harked back to the 2014 Israel-Hamas war, part of which took place during Ramadan. “This month has seen the actualization of exceptional Islamic victories,” the group said. During the war, the article claimed, “the Palestinian resistance, chiefly the al-Qassam Brigades, fought the most impressive battles of heroism and martyrdom.”

In 2022, the Hamas website posted : “We welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of jihad, martyrdom, and mighty victories.”

In May 2021, the Qatar-owned Al-Jazeera TV station, which serves as a mouthpiece for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, published on its website an article headlined, “Month of Jihad and Victories: How the Palestinian Resistance Turned Ramadan into the Season of Attacks and Victories.” The author, Adnan Abu Amer, a Palestinian political science lecturer at Al-Ummah University in Gaza, listed a long line of deadly attacks by the Palestinian terror organizations – against both soldiers and civilians, including suicide bombings – that were deliberately carried out during Ramadan.

In Ramadan in 2017, for example, three terrorists – members of the Jabarin family of the Israeli Arab city of Umm al-Fahm, murdered two Israeli Border Police officers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound (Temple Mount) in Jerusalem.

A year earlier, also during Ramadan, two Palestinian cousins, Mohammed and Khalil Mukhamara, carried out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market, murdering four Israelis and wounding 40 others.

During Ramadan in 2015, a Palestinian terrorist carried out a stabbing attack against two Israeli police officers near the Damascus Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Abu Amer also pointed out that the 2014 Israel-Hamas war coincided with Ramadan and served as a model for resistance groups because it included “the most prominent acts of heroism by the resistance in the history of Palestine and the conflict with the occupation.”

According to Amer:

“Every year, at the beginning of Ramadan, the military branches of the Palestinian resistance factions stress that this is a [special] month, in which the jihad fighters pray during the daytime and defend their Palestinian homeland during the night. It is a month marked by outstanding Muslim victories, and the month during which the resistance carried out [its] most impressive wars of heroism and sacrifice. It is the custom of the resistance to step up its activity during Ramadan. The Ramadan atmosphere increases the readiness for sacrifice, due to its religious and psychological effect, which is automatically felt by the resistance fighters.”

In 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, another Gaza-based Iran-backed terror proxy, fired rockets into Israel during Ramadan. During that Ramadan, Palestinians in the West Bank and east Jerusalem rioted, burned tires, threw rocks, shot fireworks and clashed with Israeli police officers and soldiers. The Palestinians also chanted slogans praising the terrorist leaders of Hamas.

Throughout history, Muslims have taken advantage of Ramadan to wage war against their enemies. Five historic Islamic battles were fought in the month of Ramadan: Battle of Badr, Conquest of Mecca, Battle of Tabuk, Battle of Amin Jalut, and Battle of Hattin.

So, while non-Muslims such as Biden appear to be worried about violence and bloodshed during Ramadan, the Palestinian terror groups have repeatedly shown quite an appetite for it during their own holy month by engaging in terrorism and murdering Jews.

During the Jewish holiday of Passover in 2002, while 250 guests of the Park Hotel in the Israeli coastal city of Netanya were celebrating the traditional Passover Seder in the hotel dining room, Abdel Basset Oder, a Palestinian suicide bomber disguised as a woman, entered the hotel with a suitcase containing powerful explosives. He detonated the bomb, killing 30 civilians and wounding 150 others. Some of the victims were Holocaust survivors; most were senior citizens (70 and over).

The Palestinian terror groups have long demonstrated that they do not care about any holiday – Muslim or Jewish – when it comes to advancing their goal of murdering Jews. Those who believe that Hamas seeks a ceasefire ahead of Ramadan are deluding themselves. Those who are concerned about the sanctity of the holy month ought to listen to what the terrorists themselves are saying: Ramadan actually increases their desire for Jewish blood.

You can grow approximately 50 to 60 bushels of barley per acre if planted. To grow 1 bushel, divide by 50 or 60. The amount of land needed to grow 1 bushel then is 1 /50 or 1/60 of an acre.

One Acre is equal to 43560 square feet.  So now divide 43560 by 50, and you get 871.2 square feet needed to grow one bushel of barley, or divide 43560 by 60 to get 726 square feet to grow one bushel of barley.

But we only need 0.0624307021 bushels to equal one Omer. So now we multiply, 871.2 by 0.0624307021 to get 54.38962766972 square feet of land to raise up one omer of barley. In other words you need an area just over 10 feet wide by 5 feet long.

And or 726 by 0.0624307021 to get 45.3246897246 square feet to grow one omer of barley. In other words, you need an area that is 9 feet long by 5 feet wide. Basically the size of your kitchen is all you need to collect one omer of barley.

Shabbat Shalom, and thank you for your efforts to give a barley report. In all of the pictures you posted last week, I didn’t see any fields that looked like they would yield even close to 50 or 60 bushels per acre. Just above here, in the “How much is an omer?” section, it starts off saying “we’re commanded to wave an omer of barley”. Did you guys pick an omer of barley?

Shalom Jason, Joe here. We stated in the video we could have picked an omer easily in the field where we made the video. We also stated we could have picked an omer in two other locations. We did pick a handful each. But we do not have a temple to take an omer to. We did not pick an actual omer of barley. They are not our fields or our land. We picked a handful to demonstrate and show you the barley that was standing there already turning golden brown.

Roger that, thanks for the reply.

March 9, 2024 Brother Joe is the 27th day of Aviv, as last Sunday was the 21st day of Aviv and Wave Sheaf Day. You posted the 20th day. Love to you, Ken

We all go by faith that the New moon is in conjunction when we use the rabbinc calendar. But we cannot KNOW for sure it happened until the Sliver is sighted as the final witness that the conjunction did indeed ocurr. So with that in mind … we go by faith that the conjunction happened and wait till we see it as the sign/ witness . So same with the Barley , we also see pictures of the barley at certain stages and then do the math to see if it will be ready for Wave sheaf day (not 29th day of the 12th month). We go by faith that our calculations are correct just like the conjunction of the moon by faith that THAT has happened. Now we go by faith and wait to see Yahs manifestation of the SIGn that it is ready for wave sheaf .We keep checking to confirm our decision as we approach the day so we can adjust if we are in error . We then see that it was indeed ready for March 3rd and THAT witness confirms our faith that we decided the new year and month of green ears long before the end of the 12th month . We then see it confirmed ON wave sheaf day just like seeing the re- newed sliver of the moon. We live by faith all the time but YAH confirms our Faith with the Proof if we are true and live by righteousness of the TORAH and the Way! Works everytime! And each time we do live by Faith our Belief is bolstered and supported again and again. We live By spirit and TRUTH! No matter what you did, we are all trying to keep His word And our efforts are Known to Him and Him alone. Shalom.

    Shabbat Shalom
I am very interested to know more about Lashon Hara specifically with regard to the following comments made in this week’s newsletter regarding the status of the barley.
    1. “armchair quarterbacks who never get off the couch, as well as from our “friend” Becca.”
    2. “In 2016, Nehemia retired from the search, and his ex-wife took over. Her name is Devorah.”
This is a genuine question which has troubled me for a very long time.
when does a comment or a statement become Lashon Hara?
I look forward to being enlightened.
    Shalom

Thanks for all you do to show us the timing of Yehovah’s calendar. I’ve been thinking this over for a while now and I wonder if someone can shed light on a few things. First, I’m thinking about ancient Israel, where they would be traveling by foot or donkey. How would they get the omer of barley to the tabernacle at Shiloh or to the Temple in Jerusalem if it wasn’t ready until exactly wave sheaf day? Would they have been watching and had a priest come to the field before hand? It just seems like an impossible thing to do back then if the waving had to be done at the tabernacle or temple. I understand Deuteronomy 16 about putting the sickle to the grain, so how would that be done practically without modern transportation? Thanks

    Shalom all
I find it incredible that Rosh Hasanah can be called after the fact . When the new year was called last year – there WAS evidence that the barley would produce an omer for the first day after Passover .
This year the new year was NOT called , and a 13th month declared .Maybe Joe sould have gone to Israel the week before , and then also have found the barley he now discovered . But he didn’t and then , most of people who follow this – declared a 13th month .
To now come back and say it was a test – is just beyond me . When we declare something , we stick by it ( let our yes be yes , and no meaning no )
So this Passover was celebrated in the 13 th month , outside of the Torah instruction , to be in the First month . When we declare by Faith , there doesn’t seem to be Aviv barley to declare a new year , we live by Faith and keep the Torah as guided
When we see that we have missed a spot which would be ready , we ask forgiveness and move on .
And then to be told we will not be concidered to take our place at the wedding feast one day – is completele and utter nonsence from Rabinical Judaism . There are many examples where people try to justify their own narritive , using the bible , but thank God the truth will always prevail .

I see you have unsubscribed. Are you wanting to be add to the News letter list again.

If you had been reading our newsletter, you would know I never declared a 13th month. I did not because I could see the barley had great potential to be roastable by Wave Sheaf Day. We explained this in many of our Newsletters.

    Shalom from the Philippines everyone!

I was not expecting such an informative article this week!
I thought you guys were busy?
Amazing how you find the time and energy to get the newsletter done.

I learned a lot in this month’s newsletter,
I particularly liked the history of Ramadan leading to War part.

Ramadan ends in Spring 2024 around first week of April,
right near Forgotten Rosh Hashanah of Hillel.
I love celebrating new year but I learned this year that:
Rosh Hashanah is not actually a moed of Leviticus 23
1st day of Unleavened and 7th Day are the first 2 moedim.

Cyrus Harding mentioned on his website something to the effect of,
“Think of October 7, 2023 as the first punch of a one-two combo.
The second punch happens in Spring 2024.”

Cyrus did mention he believes there will be more earthquakes this year
but not particularly a natural fault line earthquake on April 8.
He did however mention he foresees a lot more war this year,
which the current war situation gives hint to.

If the 6th Seal is a nuke a war will follow.
    Then the 7th Seal:

The Revelation 8:1 Half an Hour in Heaven = Half a Year on Earth.
The Silence in Heaven = Unanswered Prayers.
The Prayers that will be answered
are those of the Saints (Rev 14:12).
Their prayers will be answered at the 1st Trumpet,
After the Yom Kippur ritual of Rev 8:2-5 .
The incense on the coals at the altar in Shemayim,
are the prayers of the Saints on earth:

The 144,000 will be sealed this year,
“…before harm is done to the earth” (Rev 7:1-3)

There are 365 days in a year.
Half a year is 182.5 days.
Nisan 1 to Yom Kippur is 186 days.
An event effecting the entire world will happen in Spring 2024,
Which is when we enter the Half an Hour of Silence in Heaven.

If “The Big Event” happens earlier than expected (before April 8)
then we will understand how,“The fig tree casts untimely figs”(Rev 6:13).
Some of us will see how it connects to the early aviv barley.
Others will say the timing of barley has nothing to do with whatever is about to happen.

If nothing happens and we are wrong, than
Well, it looks like the end times are not upon us
and we can carry on with our pre-pandemic lives.

Either way I’m thankful for all the brethren I have met on this journey. May we meet in person one day
