Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah, May Your name be found written in the Book of Life

‚ÄúGamar hatimah tovah.‚ÄĚ Some say ‚ÄúGmar tov,‚ÄĚ meaning a good completion to your inscription (in the book of life).

We  are now beginning the Feast of Trumpets at sunset Thursday evening and Friday day August 18, 2023 is the 1st day of the 7th month. May your name be found written in the Book of Life.

For those wondering why we are keeping the feasts a month before everyone else on the Hillel or Rabbinic calendar, we go by the barley being Aviv to begin the year. That puts us one month ahead of the Hillel calendar and has consistently done so since 2016. We also go by the crescent moon to begin each month. And that too causes us to be 1 to 3 days different than the Hillel calendar which only began to be used after 358 AD. Before that time the Talmud records that they had two witnesses come to the Temple each month to report the sighting of the moon and they also had an exciting ceremony each year to collect the first fruits of the barley to begin the year.

If all of this is new to you then I urge you to get the book It Was A Riddle Not A Command below so you can read the many scriptures which tell you when to keep the Holy Days and then you can decide.

After Sabbath last week we sent out to all those who have been supporting this work since 2022 on a monthly basis, our unedited edition of The 10 Days of Awe. This was a gift from me to those who have helped us financially each month on a consistent basis. I had asked all of them to write me a short note about how excited they were to finally get our newest book so I could use it to help promote the book to new people. Few have done so. I also asked them to write a review after they got 1/4 through and then 3/4 and then finally after they read it. I still hope most of them will do this for me to help promote the book.

I also had a number of people who do not support this work demanding they have the right to the new book. I wonder how many of you would work for a year and then be told that all you worked for was to be given away for free and to whom ever. Some feel they can just share it with others who do not support this work and act as if it is a gift from them.

By giving the unedited work to our supporters it was a gesture on my part to say thank you. The information is important and they need to know about it now. Especially with 2024 right around the corner. So it was to be a gift from me to them for helping to do this work all these years. Many of them never trouble me or give me cause for alarm.

I had hoped by doing this some would be motivated to begin to give on an ongoing basis. I am not demanding that you tithe to me. Yet you should be. It is part of the law. I do not tell you how much to give and many seek to give the minimum amount they can get away with. (That would sound like they only want God to bless them minimally in return) We still have more work to do as you will see once you read the book. We did get a few people who began to be new supporters. I understand some of you are struggling. But so are we. You have money for this or that, but you can’t find anything to help those who are researching for you? I have never turned down anyone who asked. I have challenged everyone who felt they had a right to get my work for free and were rude or crude when they wrote me. Few if any apologize.

Because some are giving our work away and not feeling any remorse to help support this work, I will now be forced to change the password and the URL from time to time. So please check the password when you sign in, just in case it is changed. Sorry. But I want to make this gift only for those supporting our work. The rest can buy it when we publish it later this year.

Here is what we wrote to you last week about the newest book.

The 10 Days of Awe is finished. I am done writing. I just have to clean it up a little and then I will send it out to those who are supporting this work on a monthly basis. You can also start to support this work by going to our store and clicking on the donate button. I have now sent it out to our supporters this week so you can begin to read all these things in time for the Fall Holy Days. It is raw and unedited for the most part. That is what we are going to work on next which could take months. While we do that I wanted those supporting this work to have this book and to begin their studies on it.

If you are a supporter of this work and did not get your notification then by all means write me.

I want to share this with you as we approach the coming 10 Days of Awe from the Feast of Trumpets to the Day of Atonement.

We are now just at the Feast of Trumpets on Friday August 18 and then the Day of Atonement on Sunday August 27. These feasts begin the night before.
Are you ready?

We will host a zoom meeting at 10 AM and 2 PM eastern time zone for all those who would like to join us on these High Holy Days. On the Day of Atonement which is a 24 hour fast, when you do not drink water or eat any food at that time. Yehovah takes this day very serious. On the Day of Atonement we will meet at 1 PM eastern time.

For Sukkot, I will be in Israel. We have someone who is going to host our zoom room for these Holy Days and Sabbath, and we will post more about that when we get closer to the time

Are you getting ready for the Fall Feast days? We are approaching the time when our understanding of the Holy Days is going to be crucial during the 10 Days/years of Awe that begin in 2024. Are you READY?

If you do not know the meaning of the Feast of Trumpets then I urge you to get our book It Was A Riddle Not A Command and learn the very basics about this day. When you do you will also learn from the Scriptures which calendar you should be following, whether Hillel or Rabbinic, or the Barley and Crescent Moon.

Make the small investment and learn something important today.

You do not want to be told I never knew you. Take a little bit of your Feast money and order the book now at

Our Groom is coming and You do not want to be told I never knew you. This is the best book to give to all your loved ones to help them learn why Yehshua was not born at Christmas and it will show them how to prove He was born Sept 11, 3 BC. It will also show them that He is coming back on this day. The expression, “no man knows the Day or the Hour” was a Hebrew idiom telling those who understood, the very day He was coming back on.

2024 is the year which represents the Feast of Trumpets. Judgment is about to begin. We were the only group warning you about 2020 and we started sounding the alarm in 2005. We are the only ones warning you about the Abomination being set up this Fall. Order the book and begin to learn these simple truths that are built one precept upon another. Order it now while your thinking about it.

You can also order a PDF copy directly from us and begin to read this book right now. Just click on the button below.

Don’t be told I never knew you!

Looking for the New Crescent Moon Thursday Night

Looking for the New Crescent Moon Thursday Night

The New Moon of the 7th month will be visible Thursday Evening. Everyone should go out and look for it.

The following picture is from Torah Calendar

You have 51 minutes after Sunset to see the moon.

Last month the moon was seen on Tuesday Evening July 18 making Tuesday Evening and Wednesday Day the 1st day of the 6th month. If you count the days in the month Thursday Evening August 17, 2023, will be the 30th day. So whether or not the moon is seen on Thursday evening does not matter. The 1st day of the 7th month this year will be Thursday Evening and Friday day August 18, 2023. This is the Feast of Trumpets. The Day and Hour no one knows until it actually begins. Now you can count to each of the Holy Days in the 7th Month.

The Shmita Year of 2023

We are about to begin the seventh month. How does it feel? Excited? You are now  1/2 way through the Sabbatical year.  You are allowed to eat some of the food you have stored away. LOL. I know looking at it each day, wondering if it was enough, still plays on your mind. So eat some of it and let the Sabbatical year be a blessing to you and your family.

Brethren find a way to obey. Stop finding excuses why you can’t do this or that.

If you just discovered this was the Shmita year, then stock up now for the remainder of the year. Don’t plant or harvest this year. Obey Yehovah.

The Shmita Year of 2023

Aviv 1 on February 21/22, 2023 began the 7th Year of Rest. You can prove this by understanding that 2 King 19:29 spoke about a 49th and 50th-year land rest. Knowing this was 701 and 700 BC, you can then count by 7 or 49 and land on every Sabbatical year or every Jubilee in history. All of our proof’s line up with this understanding.

We want to encourage you to watch and share this video of our teaching at GLC about the Sabbatical Year.

In this Sabbatical year, you are:

  1. Not to Plant
  2. Not to Harvest
  3. Stock up on Food in the 6th year
  4. Forgive Debts
  5. Read the Torah Out Loud on the 1st day of Sukkot.

These are the basic rules that you are to keep in order to be blessed by Yehovah. As of this writing, it is not too late to stock up for the year.

There are 365 days in the year. Let’s just say there are 400 days, in case there is an Adar Bet next year. You can buy 400 Cans of Soup to have one meal of soup each day during the year. One can of soup costs about $2, so for $800 you have a year’s supply of soup. But if you are not going to eat soup every day then take out half and buy canned beans, vegetables and fruits.

You can do this. Do not say you can’t do this. Find the will to find a way to get this done. Find excuses as to why you will obey. We are coming into the 5th curse over the next 7 years. That curse is famine and it will be so bad that people will eat their own children. So stock up on food now so you can obey Yehovah. And extra food will be a welcome blessing later.

Brethren, this is not that hard to do. What it takes is the willpower to do it: that and a little planning. You can buy meat throughout the year. It is not a ban on meat. You can also eat anything that grows of itself during the year. But do not plan on living off of those things that come from the ground. It they fail then you have no food. Stock up now, and if something grows, they are a bonus, but they are also free game for the neighbours and the animals. So they might eat it before you do. Plan ahead and stock up now. You still have time to get it done.

I received this email this week and want to share it and answer it with you all.

Message: Hello Joseph

I was wondering ‚Äď are we allowed to still buy ‚Äúold stock‚ÄĚ from the store up to 22 Feb 2023? Most products have Production dates and Sell by dates on them. I am staying away from fresh vegetables and fruit but if I can see on a canned item or on frozen vegetables that the Production date in well outside of the beginning of the Shmita year, I am allowed to buy it?

As you might know, we (South Africa) are sometimes without power for up to 8 hours, sometimes more, a day. I therefore did not invest in an extra freezer or fridge for we are expecting the collapse of the grid any day and all those frozen things will have to be thrown away. I have stocked up for the Shmita year, but still have this impression on my spirit that I have to keep doing it for as long as I can ‚Äď especially canned goods.

Personally I do not see why I can’t, because it is old stock. Nowhere do I read in the Torah that you are not allowed to buy the old stock in the Shmita year (provided of course that you can find a Production date on the can/container that is well outside the beginning of our Shmita year. But, my understanding of it may be wrong, so I would really appreciate your input.

South Africa

As I always do here is my standard answer as to what you are to do during the Sabbatical year.

  1. Not to Plant
  2. Not to Harvest
  3. Stock up on Food in the 6th year
  4. Forgive Debts
  5. Read the Torah Out Loud on the 1st day of Sukkot.

Each person is different. Each person has a different culture they live in. Some do not have electric power. Some are called and discover this information and the sabbatical year has already begun. Yehovah has called each of us from the walk we are in. Different races, different problems. But He HAS called you to begin NOW to obey. So, start to obey from that point on with all your might and all your ability. But Start!!!

Joe Dumond Rules

In answer to Melanie, these are now what I do. They are not written in Torah. This would come under Joe Dumond rules, which must be changed when found to be out of alignment with Yehovah’s Laws. Each of you will develop you own rules for you and your family. I might not agree with them but so long as we are all keeping the 5 rules of the Shmita year then do not judge others who are trying to obey. Let Yehovah judge them. Let Yehovah bless them according to what they do right and what they do wrong. But do not let us go around attacking each other, and especially those who are trying.

I have stocked up my food for the upcoming year. Here in Ontario, Canada, I will use Shavuot as another one of my benchmarks. I will explain in a moment.

Here in Ontario, I will continue to buy and eat apples that were grown in Ontario up until about Shavuot 2023. This means any apples marked as product of Ontario would have been grown and harvested in 2022. New Apples will not be available from Ontario until some time in the summer of 2023. So my cut off date will be Shavuot 2023. Potatoes grown here in Canada either from Ontario or Prince Edward Island, the main place potatoes are grown in Canada will not come on the market until about August. Again, I can use last years stocks up until my cut off date of Shavuot 2023.

Here in Ontario, our lettuce and most fresh fruit and vegetables comes from around the world and take about 7 days to go from being picked to the store. So for me, as of Passover 2023, I will not be eating any fresh greens from the stores. I will eat only what I have already bought before that date which is now passed. Most canned fruits and vegetables are from last years harvest. So canned goods I will continue to stock up on. I believe I will finish this the week after the Days of Unleavened Bread. I know there is no yeast in them, but I have had many problems to resolve with my wife about storing food here in the apartment, which is forcing me to be very precise in all I do.

Now if I am going to use Shavuot as my cut off date for those things grown here in Ontario, then next year when the Sabbatical Year ends at Aviv in 2024, then I also will continue to not eat those things grown in Ontario, until they come into season here locally. For example, I will wait until August before eating Apples again. I will wait until August before I eat new potatoes.

After Aviv 1 in 2024, when fresh strawberries begin to arrive on the store shelves in Ontario I will wait until around the 1st of the second month before I eat them. I am doing this because the shelve life is about a week or two. So if I wait until the 1st of the 2nd month, then those fresh products will have been harvested in 2024 after Aviv, when we can then again harvest. In the past I have waited and to set the date at Shavuot.

Here is an example from the Bible you need to understand and once you do then can decide what to do for yourself. It is upon this understanding that I set the date for myself of Shavuot.

Lev 25:20 And if you shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow nor gather in our increase!

Lev 25:21 Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

Lev 25:22 And you shall sow the eighth year, and eat of old fruit until the ninth year; until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old fruit.

The Barley was sown around Sukkoth in the fall. It is harvested after Passover. In a Sabbatical year you could not harvest the barley in the Sabbatical Year. You would not be able to plant in the Sabbatical year in the fall. This then meant you would not have a barley crop the year after the Sabbatical year at Passover. This is now the 8th year. In the fall around Sukkoth in the 8th year, you could plant but would not be able to harvest until Passover in the 9th year.

What ever the crop or food you are desiring to plant or harvest, in what ever part of the world you you live in, you must plant and harvest according to the Sabbatical Year rules from Aviv to Aviv.

So each person must figure out when Strawberries are planted and harvested according to this understanding. When Potatoes are planted according to this understanding. Our society does not obey Yehovah. So each of us must read the labels and decide if this is kosher or not. To this day, I do not drink any wine harvested in the year 2016 or 2009 both Sabbatical years I have kept.

We all must obey. Do the best you can and pray Yehovah helps you to understand and to be able to obey.

If you want to use aquaponics or soilless planting then you must decide if this is kosher or not. I am not going to come up with an entire Targum or set of Tamudic do’s and don’ts. Read the rules or read Lev 25 and then you decide. You are called to be a King and Priest in the Kingdom of Yehovah. As a King and Preist you must uphold the Law of Yehovah and enforce it. As a King or Priest in the Kingdom, is what you are going to do, upholding those laws? Is what you are going to do pleasing to Yehovah? You must decide. I am not your judge.

Php 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Php 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Php 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings,

Php 2:15 so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world,

Php 2:16 holding forth the Word of Life, so that I may rejoice with you in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor laboured in vain.

Some are asking how to do you travel? When you go to someones home what do you do? YOU can assume that those people are obeying Yehovah and you eat. Or you can pull out your own food from your purse and eat it in front of them. Again I am not your judge. You must decide what to do.

Joshua crossed the Jordan in the 50th year.  He did not plant anything the year before or this year. And yet he ate everything they captured from the cities of the Caananites. They did not obey Yehovah. Joshua ate their food.

There is not commandment telling you you cannot eat. I have given you Joe Dumond rules above. They are not Yehovah’s rules. You must decide what you are going to do.

The 10 Days of Awe Reviews

The 10 Days of Awe

We asked those who were given the free copy to write us and let us know what they thought of being able to now read the 10 Days of Awe. Here is what they said.
Dear Joe,
    • On a personal note, I would just like to share my opinion on your Ten Days of Awe book. I am still living in the afterglow of having finished reading it from cover to cover, only to say it has hugely impacted me. It really is an awesome read, and without exaggeration it is a Biblical Masterpiece. Some of its amazing content was still coming back to me early this morning when I was still slumbering in bed, and I just could not get it out of my head. I would say you have created an exceptional and razor sharp historical essay of¬† the ancient secrets behind the religions of Babylon and Egypt. You have given us a look behind the scenes, and lifted the lid on all their horrible hidden secrets, and you demonstrated how all the religions of the world, especially including Christianity, have effectively been sired by the pagan poison of the Babylonian mystery religion. Apart from this you unveiled so many astounding Scriptural revelations, that any true seeker after truth would feel spoiled by Yehovah Himself. On top of all of this, you have also given us an amazing compass not only indicating, but also giving us the precise timing of all the prophetic milestones we, as Messiah’s true disciples will encounter in the next ten year year journey to our ultimate destiny in the Holy Land. In reading I felt compelled, if not driven to get to the end of your book & even now, days later I am still savouring the effects.
    • From a grateful heart – Thank you Joe for being a true instrument in His most righteous Hands!
    • With love & blessings,
Shalom Joseph,
For the last few months I have listened to your ongoing comments and struggles to complete your latest book The 10 Days of Awe. As a result, what began in your frustrations AND in your growing excitement had culminated in a great anticipation in me of the soon approaching finish of the same.
I am so grateful to have received the raw, unedited version of this now INFAMOUS book, and I have just finished the two Forwards (which themselves were excellent) along with Chapter 1.
What stands out to me initially is the clarity of words that have made your detail very easy and pleasant to follow and retain.
What comes to the surface of my thinking after that is the growing desire to keep reading and reading. Personally, there is a new revelation unfolding in my own understanding of TORAH, and I am now excited to read in the same manner you were excited to grab hold of your new revelation and write about it!
all of this is to say “THANK YOU”!¬† More to come later as I progress into this great Biblical Truth Yehovah has given us through your life.
Yehovah bless you.

My sincerest apologies for not reporting back earlier, but time and reality disappeared and I could not stop reading.

There are so many truths jumping up out of the pages ‚Äď just about every other page has a yellow highlight on it as far as I go. I have had it printed out, because the ‚Äėphone makes for difficult reading ‚Äď hope you don‚Äôt mind. It is for my personal use only.

You have been working on this book for so long, and talking about it so much; sharing portions in the newsletters and during the Sabbath conversations, that I thought I knew everything by the time it became available. Mistake!!

Thank you for making this available to us even before the final editing was completed. Thank you for remaining true to the calling you believe Yah has placed on your life. Thank you for sharing, training, teaching relentlessly. All praise and honour to Yehovah; appreciation and respect to you.

It was a wonderful surprise to see what all is available in the ‚ÄúSupporters‚Äô Section‚ÄĚ ‚Äď a true treasure trove. Even James‚Äôs book ‚Äď thanks!!!¬† How grateful I am that Yah has enabled me to support your work!

May the trip to Israel over Yom Kippur bear the fruit and provide the evidence we are expectantly watching for. May Yah give his angels charge over you and Randy every step of the way there and back ‚Äď Amen.

The first 2 books of this Elijah trilogy and the first 3 chapters of this book lay a solid ground work for what seems to be more profound revelation for the rest of this book that Yehovah has given Mr. Dumond to pass on and teach to all of us. Im always amazed and excited to learn what Yehovah has given to Joe. Can’t wait for the coming chapters.

Kyle Widmyer

I just got my copy of 10 Days of Awe and I CANNOT wait to start it! I may or may not have to hire a housekeeper so I can focus on simply reading and absorbing all the revelations this book has for me!
Dear Grampa Joe, I can’t thank you enough for your free  gift that goes out to all who support your works!! I remember you giving away your books, free of charge, at a conference I attended in Columbus, Oh years ago.
I’m going to do my very best to get through The Ten Days of Awe but more importantly, retain all that information! I know you spend all your waking hours teaching on this subject so I will honor that by not letting your works be for nothing. Thank you again for your generosity~

Hi Joseph, Thank you so much for the books, I have loved everyone of them, and I am so looking forward to this new one. And I can’t wait for the next 2 days to the feast of trumpets. My bible study group and friend is divided, some are on your timeline, the others follow the hillel and one follows the zadock calendar. One girl has been listening to me, so she decided to do what you did when you first started, celebrate both, just in case. I will keep an eye out for any misspelled words, and mark them down if you like. One I know I often come across in my letters as I type, is fro instead of for, so I will keep an eye out for anything like that that pops out at me.¬† I will send my next email as I progress through the book

Thanks Again

Yehovah has blessed Joseph Dumond and given him insight to unlocking and revealing the often times complex and intricate prophecies given to us in scripture. Every book of Joe’s is amazingly in depth and eye opening. I have anticipated the release of this final book of the trilogy the second I found out that he started writing it. I cannot wait to get started. Thank you Joe for everything you have given and put on the line to teach all of us what our gracious and compassionate creator has revealed to you. And thank you to Yehovah for giving Joe this valuable insight and the abilities to teach all of us.
Kyle Wydmyer
I know when we give our all to our Abba, He gives to us, the more we seek Him , the more He blesses us, Joseph Dummond has been pouring his whole heart mind and sole into searchig out¬† Yah’s Will, and Yah has blessed him dearly! Who has been blessed with such knowledge of understanding the Sabbatical and Jubilee years>>?? Yes, we should all be filled with this same knowledge and thanks to all Joe’s contunual diligent searching thru the Sqriptures , We can, Thank you Mr.Dummond for your love for all of us , as our Yahusha has said, He wants none to be lost, and you ave been doing everything with a glad heart to help bring in the sheep!!!, Todah rabah!! May our names all be found in Yah’s book of life!¬† Elaine Burgess .
Thats my begining ill be back in the mid and again at the end! Yah indeed has blessed us thru you.
Psalm 28:7
Yahuah is my strength and my shield.
My heart trusts in Him, and I was helped.
Therefore my heart leaps for joy,
and I will praise Him with my song

Thank you so much for sending the book! I was so excited that I read three chapters before I realized I hadn’t even thanked you!
Then I scheduled an early zoom teaching to share what was in those chapters! It’s just so exciting to read now, before the fall feast begin.
Thank you for all you have done and all you are doing for the kingdom!

¬†I don’t know how to designate the donation, so I am praying and come up with Africa this time. I wished to comment that it can be truly difficult emotionally, to be on a different calendar than all our friends and family. It is a rather ostrasizing experience, at best. They will almost roll their eyes at you. Very few will look into it in a deeper way. I have been compelled to know, for about two years now, believing, before discovering this work that it must be knowable, and that there is only ONE CORRECT CALENDAR & TIMELINE. I began to search it out, and came first to Cyrus Harding’s Old Codgerville website. [Thank you, again, Cyrus & Company.] He was interested in sharing real truth enough to connect seekers like myself to Joseph Dumond’s work. I’m so grateful to both. Yehovah also has led me through His Great Name, which is a long-standing prayer of mine, to support a ministry that has His Name. I began using His Real Name around seven years ago. This also can generate eye rolls from your friends and family, and be frustrating as they politely hear you out only to continue on with whatever they were doing before. At least we ALL agree on Yah, and most agree with Yeshua. But these things REALLY matter to me, and to our Father in Heaven, I am convinced. This Ten Days of Awe is the only book I have yet to read. I am convinced that Yehovah has led me to this accurate calendar & timeline. So, alone or not, in we go! Thank you for your superb efforts, Joseph & Team. Shalom, Shalom! Yom Teruah Sameah!

Thank you Joe and your team for sending me the latest book Cannot thankyou enough. Dont want to miss the ‚Äúboat‚ÄĚ when it leaves the shore. Amazing how Yehovah is using the English language to get His Word to the world. I thank Mr. Spykerman for the introduction to this so informative book.Have started to read it .The world needs to have this and the other books in the worlds libraries. We have all been lead astray. Praise Yehovah for turning us back to Him.Thankyou . Phyllis¬†

It Was A Riddle Not A Command

With Feast of Trumpets Now here you should all have a copy of this book to understand and know the deeper things of this Amazing Feast.

Hi there! I’ve read your book “Riddle not a Command” and loved it! I am actually planning on reading it a second time once my wife finishes reading it.

By the way, I am asking all of our leaders to read your book “It was a Riddle, Not a Command”. I think you have done a phenomenal favor to the body in writing this book. If I could afford it, I would buy 100 of them to pass out to everyone I know. What you have said, in the way that you have said it, leaves little room for anyone else needing to write their own book. Why recreate the wheel, so to speak. Torah keeping Spirit filled assemblies are very scarce in Ohio. We have approximately 25 precious folks walking with us. Thanks again for your kindness and your insights…. J

It Was A Riddle Not A Command

Yehshua always spoke in parables publicly.

Matthew 13:34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak to them without a parable,¬†so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.‚ÄĚ

He did this on purpose so they would not understand.

Matthew 13:10-17 And the disciples said to Him, Why do You speak to them in parables?

He answered and said to them, Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.

For whoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance. But whoever does not have, from him shall be taken away even that which he has.

Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not; nor do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which said, “By hearing you shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see and shall not perceive; for this people’s heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”

But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them.

Yehshua spoke about the 5 Foolish Virgins in a parable.

Matthew 25:11-13 Afterwards the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.

Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes.

The expression ‚ÄúNo Man Knows the Day or the Hour‚ÄĚ is what Yehshua was speaking about in the previous chapter, Matthew 24:36 and here He is using the same expression in this parable again.

This is what most Christians use to dismiss any and all end time prophecies as being false teachings. They do not realize it was a parable meant to say something and hide the truth from those who hearts have grown stupid which is what that word gross means when Isaiah says their hearts have become gross.

Yehshua was telling the foolish they would not and could not know the day or the hour and at the same time telling the wise the precise time He would return on.

The question is which one of the virgins are you?

Order the book and find out which one you are and learn how to change from being a foolish virgin to one of the 5 Wise Virgins.

If you want to understand the Feast of Trumpets…if you want to know about Yehshua birthday, if you want to get the basics understanding of the 10 days of Awe, which we are about publish then you need to read this book as your foundation.

Order the book so you never have to hear the words, I never knew you.

The Countdown Has Already Begun!

The Countdown Has Already Begun!

The Countdown To the Abomination Began March 11, 2020 when W.H.O. announced a world wide pandemic!

We are just weeks away from this event taking place. Do you know what to look for, and do you know where to look for it? Are you even watching? It is time to get right with Yehovah now with fasting and prayers and turning back to Him while you have time.

THE ABOMINATION THAT MAKES DESOLATE must surely qualify as one of the most misinterpreted subjects in the entire Bible. In truth, it is a mystery, as evidenced by the fact that even the prophet Daniel himself did not fully comprehend its meaning. (Daniel 12:8-9)

Clearly, therefore, there is no shame in failing to understand all the details of this major End-Times’ prophetic event. This is where Joseph Dumond’s second book in his Elijah Trilogy comes as such a timely and most befitting word in season. This work is best suited for those who genuinely and in earnest seek after truth, as it provides an accurate compass guiding the reader safely through the maze of all the key End-Times’ prophetic markers that enable one to come into a full understanding of the content therein. As the author leads you step-by-step; you will come to know the true meaning and full import of this earth-shattering event. For starters, you will be impacted by the urgency of the hour, as the timing of this event is just around the corner.

You will marvel in amazement as you have your eyes opened to the true understanding of what is meant by the 70th week of Daniel.
You will find out the true biblical location of the sacrificial altar for the Red Heifer, as well as the most probable timetable for this event. It will come as a revelation for you to learn that it may not necessarily mean a Temple has to be built before this sacrifice is made.

You will discover when the Antichrist intervenes to stop the sacrifices being offered at the altar in Jerusalem, and also, when he plans to set up ‚ÄúThe Abomination That Makes Desolate.‚ÄĚ

You will also learn when the ‚ÄúTwo Witnesses‚ÄĚ commence their ministry in Jerusalem, and how Nadab and Abihu‚ÄĒthe two sons of Aaron‚ÄĒmay have been prophetic symbols of those Two Witnesses.

The strength and beauty of this work is that, unlike so many other authors, Joseph Dumond actually gives answers that pinpoint exactly where we are prophetically today. Not only this, he gives us the tools to prove the answers for ourselves. He does this by demonstrating in the clearest terms aided by his colourful charts that the major KEYS to understanding END-TIMES‚Äô PROPHECY are the Sabbatical and Jubilee Cycles. Most students of the Bible¬†sadly are wholly unaware of their existence. Yet, once you understand these, you are able to‚ÄĒwith a significantly improved level of accuracy‚ÄĒpinpoint exactly where we are in these biblical cycles of time. The amazing‚ÄĒor some might even say scary part being‚ÄĒthat all of these spectacular, apocalyptic and catastrophic events will be taking place in just a few years from now!

The 1290 Days has already started counting down. Yehshua warned what was going to come next. Get ready!! We are there now and no one is prepared.

If you want a PDF version and you want it now just go to our store and you can begin to read this book as soon as you fill in your information.

Restoration of All Things

Restoration of All Things

Torah Portions

We read through the entire Torah along with the Prophets and the New Testament, once over the course of 3 1/2 years. Or according to the Sabbatical Cycle which means we read it all twice over a 7 year period. This allows us to cover more in-depth rather than being rushed to cover as much as is covered on an annual basis. We allow all to comment and take part in the discussions.

Septennial Torah Portion

If you go to Torah Portion at our archived section, you can then go to the 7th year which is the 7th year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every News Letter. There you can scroll down to the proper date, and see that this Shabbat we could very well be midrashing about:

Deuteronomy 3

Nehemiah 11-13

2 Corinthians 10-11

If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.

Spokesman Club Manual

Spokesman Club Manual

At our leadership meeting we discussed how it was going in relationship to letting others speak at on Shabbat.

We had a wide range of discussions on it. On the whole, meetings are now too long, is the one complaint I am hearing. We still want to do the midrash and the Torah studies.

Some only want to come and have me teach. This puts a lot of pressure on me to prepare a sermon each and every week. My goal here at is to teach people the torah and how the Jubilee Cycles along with the Holy days teach you the plan of salvation. Another goal I have is to have people capable of teaching these things to others.

In order to do the second goal we must have a place for people to practice and fail at giving teachings. This is also why we allow and encourage midrashes. So people know how to argue in love about the many and various false teachings they are going to be presented. Iron sharpening Iron.

I have asked Shane Diltz to help me by looking after this aspect of He organizes the speakers and makes sure their subject is kosher.

Many years ago while I was attending the WWCG, they had this program to teach you how to speak. After our meeting I went out and found it on line. I want to encourage you all to go through it and do each step in the speaking program. Practice on your spouse or on your dog or cat. But practice before you come to give your presentation to us. Practice.

Your goal is to teach us the subject on your heart and to do so in 15 Minutes 20 Minutes TOPS. Going forward we will shut you down after so many minutes. We may give you a one minute warning. But we will shut you down. We want you to learn how to pack your presentation in small but powerful punches. We want you to learn. And we are going to allow you to do so at

Please do look over the manual. Prepare your subject according to one of the learning courses and practice. We look forward to your presentation and growth.

Many of the fonts do not transfer over well, so I will give you the link to the manual and you can read it on the original site.

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was ‚Äútied‚ÄĚ, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, ‚Äúthus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms‚ÄĚ.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are ‚Äútied‚ÄĚ to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means ‚ÄúChampion of God‚ÄĚ, or better ‚ÄĒ the ‚ÄúWrestler of God‚ÄĚ.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to ‚Äúwrestle with the Word‚ÄĚ to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where ‚ÄúThe preacher talks and everyone listens.‚ÄĚ We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers songs and teaching from this hour.

Shabbat Services will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.

On the Holy Day, Shavuot, we will be having two meetings. One at 10 AM Eastern and the afternoon will be 2 PM Eastern. Look forward to seeing you all there.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Joseph Dumond is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Peace Peace September 21, 2023

 Peace, Peace September 21, 2023

2023 Theme
Actions for peace: Our ambition for the #GlobalGoals

Each year the International Day of Peace (IDP) is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. Never has our world needed peace more.

This year’s theme is Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals. It is a call to action that recognizes our individual and collective responsibility to foster peace. Fostering peace contributes to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals will create a culture of peace for all.

United Nations Secretary-General Ant√≥nio Guterres said, ‚ÄúPeace is needed today more than ever. War and conflict are unleashing devastation, poverty, and hunger, and driving tens of millions of people from their homes. Climate chaos is all around. And even peaceful countries are gripped by gaping inequalities and political polarization.‚ÄĚ

2023 marks the mid-point in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. The 2023 observance of the International Day of Peace coincides with the¬†SDG summit¬†(18 ‚Äď 19 September) to mark the mid-point milestone.

The SDGs aim to bring us closer to having more peaceful, just, and inclusive societies, free from fear and violence. But without the buy-in and contribution of a wide range of actors including the 1.2 billion young people alive, the goals will not be achieved. We invite you to join the United Nations’ call to take action for peace: fight inequality, drive action on climate change, and promote and protect human rights.

2023 is also the 75th anniversaries of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide. IDP 2023 encourages all youth to be ambitious in their engagement as positive and constructive social agents, to join the movement to reach the SDGs and contribute to building sustainable peace. Together we can help to lead our world towards a greener, more equitable, just, and secure future for all.

Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

Fifty-fifth session

Agenda item 33

Resolution adopted by the General Assembly

[without reference to a Main Committee (A/55/L.95 and Add.1)]

55/282. International Day of Peace

The General Assembly,

Recalling its resolution 36/67 of 30 November 1981, by which it declared that the third Tuesday of September, the opening day of the regular sessions of the General Assembly, shall be officially proclaimed and observed as International Day of Peace and shall be devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples,

Recalling also its other relevant resolutions, including resolution 55/14 of 3 November 2000,

Reaffirming the contribution that the observance and celebration of the International Day of Peace makes in strengthening the ideals of peace and alleviating tensions and causes of conflict,

Considering the unique opportunity it offers for a cessation of violence and conflict throughout the world, and the related importance of achieving the broadest possible awareness and observance of the International Day of Peace among the global community,

Desiring to draw attention to the objectives of the International Day of Peace, and therefore to fix a date for its observance each year that is separate from the opening day of the regular sessions of the General Assembly,

1. Decides that, with effect from the fifty-seventh session of the General Assembly, the International Day of Peace shall be observed on 21 September each year, with this date to be brought to the attention of all people for the celebration and observance of peace;

2. Declares that the International Day of Peace shall henceforth be observed as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence, an invitation to all nations and people to honour a cessation of hostilities for the duration of the Day;

3. Invites all Member States, organizations of the United Nations system, regional and non-governmental organizations and individuals to commemorate, in an appropriate manner, the International Day of Peace, including through education and public awareness, and to cooperate with the United Nations in the establishment of the global ceasefire.

111th plenary meeting

7 September 2001

The predecessor of the United Nations was the¬†League of Nations, established in 1919, after World War I, under the Treaty of Versailles “to promote international cooperation and to achieve peace and security.”

As of 20 April 1946, the League of Nations ceased to exist, having handed over all of its assets to the United Nations, and having granted the new UN Secretariat full control of its Library and archives.

In 1899, the International Peace Conference was held in The Hague to elaborate instruments for settling crises peacefully, preventing wars and codifying rules of warfare. It adopted the Convention for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes and established the Permanent Court of Arbitration, which began work in 1902.

Let me remind you about what led up to the League of Nations.

The Swiss businessman Henry Dunant went to visit wounded soldiers after the Battle of Solferino in 1859. He was shocked by the lack of facilities, personnel, and medical aid available to help these soldiers. As a result, he published his book, A Memory of Solferino, in 1862, on the horrors of war.[2] His wartime experiences inspired Dunant to propose:

  • A permanent relief agency for¬†humanitarian aid¬†in times of war
  • A government treaty recognizing the¬†neutrality¬†of the agency and allowing it to provide aid in a war zone

The former proposal led to the establishment of the¬†Red Cross¬†in¬†Geneva. The latter led to the¬†1864 Geneva Convention, the first codified international treaty that covered the sick and wounded soldiers on the battlefield. On 22 August 1864, the Swiss government invited the governments of all European countries, as well as the United States, Brazil, and Mexico, to attend an official diplomatic conference. Sixteen countries sent a total of twenty-six delegates to Geneva. On 22 August 1864, the conference adopted the first Geneva Convention “for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded in Armies in the Field”. Representatives of 12 states and kingdoms signed the convention:[3][4]

For both of these accomplishments, Henry Dunant became co recipient of the first Nobel Peace Prize in 1901.[5][6]

On 20 October 1868 the first unsuccessful attempt to expand the 1864 treaty was undertaken. With the ‘Additional Articles relating to the Condition of the Wounded in War’ an attempt was initiated to clarify some rules of the 1864 convention and to extend them to maritime warfare. The Articles were signed but were only ratified by the Netherlands and the United States of America.[7]¬†The Netherlands later withdrew their ratification.[8]¬†The protection of the victims of maritime warfare would later be realized by the third¬†Hague Convention of 1899¬†and the tenth¬†Hague Convention of 1907.[9]

In 1906 thirty-five states attended a conference convened by the Swiss government. On 6 July 1906 it resulted in the adoption of the “Convention for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armies in the Field”, which improved and supplemented, for the first time, the 1864 convention.[10]¬†It remained in force until 1970 when Costa Rica acceded to the 1949 Geneva Conventions.[11]

The 1929 conference yielded two conventions that were signed on 27 July 1929. One, the “Convention for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armies in the Field”, was the third version to replace the original convention of 1864.[9][12]¬†The other was adopted after experiences in¬†World War I¬†had shown the deficiencies in the protection of¬†prisoners of war¬†under the¬†Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907. The “Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War” was not to replace these earlier conventions signed at The Hague, rather it supplemented them.[13][14]

Inspired by the wave of humanitarian and pacifistic enthusiasm following World War II and the outrage towards the war crimes disclosed by the Nuremberg and Tokyo trials, a series of conferences were held in 1949 reaffirming, expanding and updating the prior Geneva and Hague Conventions. It yielded four distinct conventions:

  • The First Geneva Convention “for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armed Forces in the Field” was the fourth update of the original 1864 convention and replaced the 1929 convention on the same subject matter.[15]
  • The Second Geneva Convention “for the Amelioration of the Condition of Wounded, Sick and Shipwrecked Members of Armed Forces at Sea” replaced the Hague Convention (X) of 1907.[16]¬†It was the first Geneva Convention on the protection of the victims of maritime warfare and mimicked the structure and provisions of the First Geneva Convention.[9]
  • The Third Geneva Convention “relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War” replaced the 1929 Geneva Convention that dealt with prisoners of war.[17]
  • In addition to these three conventions, the conference also added a new elaborate Fourth Geneva Convention “relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War”. It was the first Geneva Convention not to deal with combatants, rather it had the protection of civilians as its subject matter. The 1899 and 1907 Hague Conventions had already contained some provisions on the protection of civilians and occupied territory. Article 154 specifically provides that the Fourth Geneva Convention is supplementary to these provisions in the Hague Conventions.[18]

Despite the length of these documents, they were found over time to be incomplete. The nature of armed conflicts had changed with the beginning of the Cold War era, leading many to believe that the 1949 Geneva Conventions were addressing a largely extinct reality:[19] on the one hand, most armed conflicts had become internal, or civil wars, while on the other, most wars had become increasingly asymmetric. Modern armed conflicts were inflicting an increasingly higher toll on civilians, which brought the need to provide civilian persons and objects with tangible protections in time of combat, bringing a much needed update to the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907.

In light of these developments, two Protocols were adopted in 1977 that extended the terms of the 1949 Conventions with additional protections. In 2005, a third brief Protocol was added establishing an additional protective sign for medical services, the Red Crystal, as an alternative to the ubiquitous Red Cross and Red Crescent emblems, for those countries that find them objectionable.

These Geneva Conventions led to the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907, and they in turn led to the League of Nations founded in 1919,  which was then followed by the United Nations in 1946. Each new group followed the failures of the preceding group to prevent war or to enforce the rules they had set out for civilians and prisoners of war. Basically when war began there were no rules until the conflict was over and then those rules were applied to the survivors. Basically, it has always been a joke, in the same way the UN and its declaration of International Day of Peace is a joke.

But this time, this joke on September 21, 2023 may have an ominous tone to it.

Before I continue, look at the year the First Geneva Convention began in 1864. It was 3 1/2 Jubilee Cycles from our time now 1862 until 2033. Just pointing that out to you. 49+49+49+24 = 171  Now go to the year 1862 when this process began and add 171 to it and you arrive at 2033.

Jer 6:13  For everyone from the least of them even to the greatest of them cuts off a profit; and from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely.

Jer 6:14  They have also healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.

Jer 6:15  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed, nor could they blush; therefore they shall fall among those who fall. At the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, says Jehovah.

Jer 6:16  So says Jehovah, Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths where the good way is, and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it.

Jer 6:17¬†¬†Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Listen to the sound of the ram’s horn. But they said, We will not listen.

Jer 6:18  Therefore hear, nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

Jer 6:19  Hear, O earth; behold, I will bring evil on this people, the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to My Words, nor to My Law, but have rejected it.

The word abomination is:

Again Jeremiah tells there is no peace and he uses the same word for abomination. This disgusting thing the people are not going to be ashamed of. Could it be an LGBT Pride symbol?

Jer 8:4  And you shall say to them, So says Jehovah; shall they fall and not arise? Shall he turn away and not return?

Jer 8:5  Why has this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a never-ending backsliding? They hold fast to deceit; they refuse to return.

Jer 8:12  Were they ashamed when they had done an abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed, nor could they blush; therefore they shall fall among those who fall; in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, says Jehovah.

Jer 8:13  I will utterly consume them, says Jehovah; there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them, those who pass over them.

Jer 8:14  Why do we sit still? Gather yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified cities, and let us be silent there. For Jehovah our God has put us to silence, and has given us poisonous water to drink, because we have sinned against Jehovah.

Jer 8:15  We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, but behold, trouble!

Eze 13:9  And My hand shall be against the prophets who see vanity and who divine a lie. They shall not be in the council of My people, nor shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

Eze 13:10  Because, even because they made My people go astray, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and he builds a wall, and lo, others daubed it with lime.

Eze 13:11  Say to those who daub with lime, yes, it shall fall; there will be a flooding rain; and you, O hailstones, shall fall, and a stormy wind will break.

Eze 13:12  And, behold, when the wall has fallen, shall it not be said to you, Where is the daubing with which you have daubed?

Eze 13:13  Therefore so says the Lord Jehovah: I will even break it with a stormy wind in My fury. And there shall be a flooding rain in My anger, and hailstones in fury to destroy it.

Eze 13:14  And I will break down the wall that you have daubed with lime, and touch it to the ground; yea, I will bare its base. And it shall fall, and you shall be destroyed in her midst; and you shall know that I amJehovah.

Eze 13:15  And I will fulfill My wrath on the wall and on those who daubed it with lime. And I will say to you, The wall is no more; and, Those who daubed are no more;

Eze 13:16  the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, says Jehovah.

As I look up the words for peace and abomination being described here, I am getting a picture of a carving on a wall saying shalom when there is no shalom. Or of an LGBT thing.

We now come to what Paul said about these times.

1Th 5:1  But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.

1Th 5:2  For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.

Here the thief in the night is a reference to Yom Teruah in which the High Priest would sneak in at night like a thief to make sure the priest on duty did not fall asleep on the job.

1Th 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape.

Is the declaration by the UN on September 21 the very thing Paul is referring to?

1Th 5:4  But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you like a thief.

1Th 5:5  You are all the sons of light and the sons of the day. We are not of the night, or of darkness.

1Th 5:6  Therefore let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be calm.

1Th 5:7  For those sleeping sleep in the night, and those being drunken are drunken in the night.

1Th 5:8  But let us, who are of the day, be calm, having put on the breastplate of faith and love and the hope of salvation for a helmet.

As we have explained to you in our book The Abomination That Makes Desolate, COVID 19 was declared a worldwide pandemic on March 11, 2020. From that date onwards, every place of worship around the world shut down. It is from this point that we begin the counting of the 1290 days in Daniel 12. Again read the book to get the full understanding. You can get it at Amazon at the link above or a PDF at our store at

Yehshua also said the following about this coming time:

Mat 24:15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand).

Mat 24:16 Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains.

Mat 24:17 Let him on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house;

Mat 24:18 nor let him in the field turn back to take his clothes.

Mat 24:19 And woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!

Mat 24:20 But pray that your flight is not in the winter, nor on the sabbath day;

Mat 24:21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time; no, nor ever shall be.

Mat 24:22¬†And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect’s sake, those days shall be shortened.

Are we expecting to see some sort of abomination set up on September 22, 2023? Absolutely. We are told by Yehshua that we have to get out fast once we see it. We are now realizing Paul too, said that when they declare Peace Peace then sudden destruction comes. This year that day is September 21,

We have much to look for this Fall and we are not sure exactly what it is that we expect to see. Some sort or carving on a wall, a Statue being set up, or a sacrifice in the wrong place like the Red Heifer Offering they are waiting to do. We just do not know what exactly it is. We do know where it will be set up. That is, on Golgotha. So that is where we are looking for it, in one of the corners.

And on top of all of this we are now going to begin the 10 Day or Years of Awe from Aviv 2024 to Atonement 2033.

I do hope you are all praying for Randy and Myself who will be in Jerusalem at this time to look for and witness these events taking place. I am also hoping those of you who understand will be watching the news for us also at this time.

Leviticus Part 4

Leviticus 6-7

Part 4

by Sombra Wilson

4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[b] 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates

.Today we begin the segment of the Chiastic Structure which teaches us about the Priesthood

Let’s read the whole of Chapter 8

Consecration of Aaron and His Sons

8 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 ‚ÄúTake Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments and the anointing oil and the bull of the sin offering and the two rams and the basket of unleavened bread. 3 And assemble all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting.‚ÄĚ 4 And Moses did as the Lord commanded him, and the congregation was assembled at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

5 And Moses said to the congregation, ‚ÄúThis is the thing that the Lord has commanded to be done.‚ÄĚ 6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water. 7 And he put the coat on him and tied the sash around his waist and clothed him with the robe and put the ephod on him and tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod around him, binding it to him with the band.[a] 8 And he placed the breastpiece on him, and in the breastpiece he put the Urim and the Thummim. 9 And he set the turban on his head, and on the turban, in front, he set the golden plate, the holy crown, as the Lord commanded Moses.

10 Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them. 11 And he sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its utensils and the basin and its stand, to consecrate them. 12 And he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him to consecrate him. 13 And Moses brought Aaron’s sons and clothed them with coats and tied sashes around their waists and bound caps on them, as the Lord commanded Moses.

14 Then he brought the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering. 15 And he[b] killed it, and Moses took the blood, and with his finger put it on the horns of the altar around it and purified the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it to make atonement for it. 16 And he took all the fat that was on the entrails and the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with their fat, and Moses burned them on the altar. 17 But the bull and its skin and its flesh and its dung he burned up with fire outside the camp, as the Lord commanded Moses.

18 Then he presented the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 19 And he killed it, and Moses threw the blood against the sides of the altar. 20 He cut the ram into pieces, and Moses burned the head and the pieces and the fat. 21 He washed the entrails and the legs with water, and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering for the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

22 Then he presented the other ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 23 And he killed it, and Moses took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. 24 Then he presented Aaron’s sons, and Moses put some of the blood on the lobes of their right ears and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet. And Moses threw the blood against the sides of the altar. 25 Then he took the fat and the fat tail and all the fat that was on the entrails and the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with their fat and the right thigh, 26 and out of the basket of unleavened bread that was before the Lord he took one unleavened loaf and one loaf of bread with oil and one wafer and placed them on the pieces of fat and on the right thigh. 27 And he put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons and waved them as a wave offering before the Lord. 28 Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt offering. This was an ordination offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. 29 And Moses took the breast and waved it for a wave offering before the Lord. It was Moses’ portion of the ram of ordination, as the Lord commanded Moses.

30 Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron and his garments, and also on his sons and his sons’ garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him.

31 And Moses said to Aaron and his sons, ‚ÄúBoil the flesh at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‚ÄėAaron and his sons shall eat it.‚Äô 32 And what remains of the flesh and the bread you shall burn up with fire. 33 And you shall not go outside the entrance of the tent of meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed, for it will take seven days to ordain you. 34 As has been done today, the Lord has commanded to be done to make atonement for you. 35 At the entrance of the tent of meeting you shall remain day and night for seven days, performing what the Lord has charged, so that you do not die, for so I have been commanded.‚ÄĚ 36 And Aaron and his sons did all the things that the Lord commanded by Moses.

Moses gathers all the things needed to Ordain or Consecrate the Priests to do the job of leading the nation in their worship of Yehovah.¬† This is a public event, just like we saw a few weeks ago with the Coronation of the King, these events are for the benefit of the Nation, and so they are public events.¬† The Priests will be dressed in the priestly garments and then anointed with the oil and then they’ll anoint the tabernacle and the sacrifices are made. The oil is then mixed with the blood and sprinkled over the priests and their garments and finally the Priests are to remain in the Tabernacle for 7 days to complete the consecration.

Now let‚Äôs look at this word Consecration to get a better understanding of what it means.¬† The word in Hebrew is Millu. It is translated as ‚Äúsetting‚ÄĚ as in a gem into a piece of jewelry; or consecrating – so we can see the Priest is carefully set up as the jewel before the people to be the intermediary between them and Yehovah.¬† The root of the word Millu is the word Milla and it means to fill or fulfill or accomplish or make complete; to be confirmed. It is the idea of taking a series of words which make a sentence that we can understand.¬† If some of those words were in a different order, the sentence would mean something else.¬† Or if words were missing, the sentence would not make sense.¬† So a Millu is a continuation of segments which fills the whole, makes it complete, or like the setting of the gem, the ring is finished.¬† Since coming to Mount Sinai, the children of Israel have been building the tabernacle, it‚Äôs furnishings, the garments, the sacrifices and now it is all being put together as a cohesive unit, orderly designed to bring the people into this covenanted fellowship relationship with Yehovah.

Look in your bibles at verse 25 to 29 that we have just read.  Moses takes the fat and the liver and the unleavened bread and the leavened bread and the oil and the thigh; he stacks them in order, and then lays them into the hands of Aaron and his sons.  This acceptance of Aaron and his sons to take this into their hands means they accept the responsibility to stand before Yehovah daily on behalf of the people.  As a nation of people, with the work of daily life, and the interruption of secular life, the nation may not be so diligent to be daily before Yehovah, but the priesthood will make this a dedicated activity on behalf of the Nation.  Aaron and his sons will now take over the responsibility Moses has been doing alone since standing before Yehovah at the burning bush, and became dedicated to being the intermediary between Yehovah and His people to rescue them from Egypt.

Then Aaron and his sons will complete a week of this Consecration, it doesn’t say so, but I imagine they spend this week learning the steps of the daily sacrifices, not just sitting idly waiting for the time to pass, but learning and perfecting the step in rehearsal so that when they are ready, they can do these sacrifices in real time.

Let’s read Leviticus 9:1- 17

9 On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel, 2 and he said to Aaron, ‚ÄúTake for yourself a bull calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord. 3 And say to the people of Israel, ‚ÄėTake a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old without blemish, for a burnt offering, 4 and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord, and a grain offering mixed with oil, for today the Lord will appear to you.‚Äô‚ÄĚ 5 And they brought what Moses commanded in front of the tent of meeting, and all the congregation drew near and stood before the Lord. 6 And Moses said, ‚ÄúThis is the thing that the Lord commanded you to do, that the glory of the Lord may appear to you.‚ÄĚ 7 Then Moses said to Aaron, ‚ÄúDraw near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and for the people, and bring the offering of the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord has commanded.‚ÄĚ

8 So Aaron drew near to the altar and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. 9 And the sons of Aaron presented the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar. 10 But the fat and the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver from the sin offering he burned on the altar, as the Lord commanded Moses. 11 The flesh and the skin he burned up with fire outside the camp.

12 Then he killed the burnt offering, and Aaron’s sons handed him the blood, and he threw it against the sides of the altar. 13 And they handed the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head, and he burned them on the altar. 14 And he washed the entrails and the legs and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.

15 Then he presented the people’s offering and took the goat of the sin offering that was for the people and killed it and offered it as a sin offering, like the first one. 16 And he presented the burnt offering and offered it according to the rule. 17 And he presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning.

On the 8th day.  Let’s stop here and talk about this.  The 8th day is a picture of a new beginning.  A week has 7 days, and that is a complete cycle.  So 8 days does not fit this cycle, rather it begins a new cycle.  A New Beginning is a picture of a resurrection, or like we mentioned last week, a new day.  When we have completed the work for the day, and we go to sleep, it is a picture of a death, we sleep in our beds, not in the dust of the earth, and then in the morning we are resurrected, we wake up and begin our work again.  This 8th day is like that waking up.  The world has gone through 5 millennial days, we are coming to the close of the 6th millennial day and soon we will begin the 7th millennium of rest.  At the end of that 7th millennium, we will wake up to the 8th day, to eternity with our Yehovah.  And here in Chapter 9 of Leviticus, Aaron and his sons are waking up to the new role of standing between the people and Yehovah to bring them into His presence.

The 8th day is shown to us at the end of the Feast of Sukkot as Shemin Atzeret. It is likened to the Shavuot which is also the 8th Holy Day from Wave Sheaf Day. It is also likened to the Jubilee Year which is also the 8th Holy Year of rest. Aarons consecration on the 8th day is representative of all of these other Moedim showing us the 8th Millennium.

Aaron starts with first making a sin offering to Yehovah on behalf of himself. Just like we saw in Leviticus 4, Aaron offers this Korban Chattah, measuring himself against the mark of perfection, and asking for Yehovah to forgive these transgressions, to stand in the gap for him. Aaron’s sons also make this Korban Chattah.

Now, with spiritually clean hands, the Priests can do this Korban Chattah on behalf of the Nation.  The nation, now forgiven their sins, the Priests can now offer this Korban Minchah that the Nation of Israel may now make the journey to a place of rest that they can enjoy this fellowship with Yehovah and build their relationship with Him.

Let’s read Leviticus 9:18-24

18 Then he killed the ox and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings for the people. And Aaron’s sons handed him the blood, and he threw it against the sides of the altar. 19 But the fat pieces of the ox and of the ram, the fat tail and that which covers the entrails and the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver‚ÄĒ 20 they put the fat pieces on the breasts, and he burned the fat pieces on the altar, 21 but the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave offering before the Lord, as Moses commanded.

22 Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he came down from offering the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings. 23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. 24 And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

And we too can shout РWawacho Ne Amen HalleluYah  HalleluYah AMEN!

Aaron and his sons have made all these sacrifices, sin offering, the meal offering, the peace offering and YEHOVAH sent down His Holy Fire and consumed all that was offered. The approach was well received.

If you have read the book of Esther, you know that Esther is supposed to go before the King РXerxes Рon behalf of the Jews who are scheduled to be destroyed.  But Esther has not been summoned by King Xerxes, and so she is hesitant to approach him, lest he have her slain for approaching without being summoned.  She has the nation fast for 3 days in preparation for her approach.  Let’s read Esther 4:10-5:2

10 Then Esther spoke to Hathach and commanded him to go to Mordecai and say, 11 ‚ÄúAll the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that if any man or woman goes to the king inside the inner court without being called, there is but one law‚ÄĒto be put to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter so that he may live. But as for me, I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days.‚ÄĚ

12 And they told Mordecai what Esther had said. 13 Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, ‚ÄúDo not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?‚ÄĚ 15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, 16 ‚ÄúGo, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.‚ÄĚ[c] 17 Mordecai then went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him.

1On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace, in front of the king’s quarters, while the king was sitting on his royal throne inside the throne room opposite the entrance to the palace. 2 And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.¬†

This picture we see with Esther is the same picture we are seeing with the fire coming down from heaven and consuming the burnt offering on the altar.  It is as if Yehovah has put forward His Scepter towards us and received us at His Throne.

So what happened in chapter 10 of Leviticus?

¬†Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered unauthorized[a] fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them. 2 And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. 3 Then Moses said to Aaron, ‚ÄúThis is what the Lord has said: ‚ÄėAmong those who are near me I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified.‚Äô‚ÄĚ And Aaron held his peace.

4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, ‚ÄúCome near; carry your brothers away from the front of the sanctuary and out of the camp.‚ÄĚ 5 So they came near and carried them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses had said. 6 And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his sons, ‚ÄúDo not let the hair of your heads hang loose, and do not tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning that the Lord has kindled. 7 And do not go outside the entrance of the tent of meeting, lest you die, for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you.‚ÄĚ And they did according to the word of Moses.

8 And the Lord spoke to Aaron, saying, 9 ‚ÄúDrink no wine or strong drink, you or your sons with you, when you go into the tent of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. 10 You are to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean, 11 and you are to teach the people of Israel all the statutes that the Lord has spoken to them by Moses.‚ÄĚ

12 Moses spoke to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his surviving sons: ‚ÄúTake the grain offering that is left of the Lord‘s food offerings, and eat it unleavened beside the altar, for it is most holy. 13 You shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your due and your sons’ due, from the Lord‘s food offerings, for so I am commanded. 14 But the breast that is waved and the thigh that is contributed you shall eat in a clean place, you and your sons and your daughters with you, for they are given as your due and your sons’ due from the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the people of Israel. 15 The thigh that is contributed and the breast that is waved they shall bring with the food offerings of the fat pieces to wave for a wave offering before the Lord, and it shall be yours and your sons’ with you as a due forever, as the Lord has commanded.‚ÄĚ

16 Now Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it was burned up! And he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the surviving sons of Aaron, saying, 17 ‚ÄúWhy have you not eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since it is a thing most holy and has been given to you that you may bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord? 18 Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary. You certainly ought to have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.‚ÄĚ 19 And Aaron said to Moses, ‚ÄúBehold, today they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord, and yet such things as these have happened to me! If I had eaten the sin offering today, would the Lord have approved?‚ÄĚ 20 And when Moses heard that, he approved.

Can you see now why Esther was afraid to approach King Xerxes?  Look what Yehovah did to Nadab and Abihu!  ZAP! Gone!  Something they did was not according to the training that they had learned during those 7 days of consecration.  Now that we have seen the deeper picture of those 5 sacrifices, offerings, approaches of Leviticus 1-5, we can see that these are the ways we are to approach Yehovah.  If we try to approach without understanding these Korbanot, if we storm in with attitude and expectation that we will be received, expecting Yehovah to respect and honour us, just because we have come before Him, we have brought Unholy Fire.  Yehovah doesn’t OWE us anything. We are not higher than Him that He should bow to our authority. We do not get to storm the throne room and demand that Yehovah give us what we are asking for.

Now most of us would agree with this previous statement, we all know we are not to demand from Yah what we want.  But there are some groups of believers who forget to put on that Yoke and walk Yoked to Him daily, they think that because they once said a sinners prayer, that sin no longer exists in their lives and that now they can command God to do as they want.  There is Prosperity Gospel believers, and those who claim to be filled with the Holy Spirit commanding evil spirits out of others, yet not submitting to Yehovah’s instructions in the Torah. If they were filled with the Holy Spirit would they not be in line with Yehovah’s Torah?  Woe to those who bring unholy fire before Yehovah.  I encourage you to all be aware that a day is soon coming, a day 1290 day from the day in 2020 when the Minchah offerings ceased.  Back on March 11, 2020, the W.H.O. Shut down the world because of covid.  All places of worship, churches, synagogues, temples, were shut down.  People were not able to approach God in congregations.  If we use this date, March 11, 2020, and count 1290 days, we get to September 22, 2023.

Let’s read what Daniel 12:10-11 says about this coming day.

[10] Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. [11] And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days.

On September 22, 2023, we are expecting the Abomination that Makes Desolation.  Something will be offered that is Unholy Fire, and so we can expect something like what happened to Nadab and Abihu to happen.  We need to watch and see.  Many in our midst will shout and cheer at this event.  Woe to them! In Leviticus 10 Aaron was told not to mourn his sons, and likewise we are not to cheer and shout at this event, nor shall we mourn.  Those who celebrate this abomination deserve the consequences.  The only thing we can do is warn them now that it is coming and encourage them to pay attention lest they be caught up in this event.

Meanwhile, of we read on in Daniel 12:12-13

[12] Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days. [13] But go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.‚ÄĚ

If we keep on counting to 1335 days, we will see a blessing, we shall receive our rest if we persevere to the end with our eyes fixed on Yehovah and His instructions.

Trumpets and the 10 Days of Awe

Trumpets and the 10 Days of Awe

We have reported the New Moon situation this year above in our New Moon Report. Because of the way things worked out this year I am able to prepare much of this in advance. But most years I have no idea when the New Crescent moon will be seen. It is also important to keep track of the new moons in the months leading up to the 7th. Like this month is 30 days, so we know when the 1st day of the 7th month will be. But others we do not.

Atonement is 10 days later and Sukkot is 15 days later. The excitement of not knowing grows each year. Which day do we book off of work? When do we book our flights to go to the Feasts so as not to be traveling on the Shabbat. It is stressful and exciting.

We are now going to cover the meaning of these Holy Days so that those who have walked this walk for some time and those who are new and have just started to walk this walk can get an idea of the meaning of each of these days of appointments when we are to meet with Yehovah and learn about His ways. It is on these days that Yehovah is going to act. And each Holy Day has a specific teaching on the whole plan of Salvation. So if you are not keeping them, you do not and cannot understand the plan of Salvation; Which explains why Christians have so many wrong understandings.

The first Fall Holy Day is the Feast of Trumpets, the Feast that no man can know the day or the hour of.

Lev 23:23  And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Lev 23:24  Speak to the sons of Israel saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath, a memorial summons, a holy convocation.

Lev 23:25  You shall do no work of labor but you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah.

The reason no man can know the day or the hour of this Feast is because it comes on the very first day of the month. Each month is determined by the sighting of the moon, and because the moon travels around the earth in 29.5 days, we end up having the month begin on the 29th or the 30th day. Which one it is, we will never know for sure until it is actually spotted by people on the ground in Jerusalem, the head quarters to Yehovah’s Kingdom.

This New Moon could be there and not be seen because of cloud cover or haze. If it is not seen then the 30th day is declared and at evening at the end of that 30th day the first day of the seventh month is to begin. And this is exactly why no man can know the day or the hour of the start of this seventh month.

Sounds familiar doesn’t it?

It should as Yehshua spoke these very words in Mathew.

Mat 24:36 “But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers of the heavens, but My Father only.
Mar 13:32 “But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Yehshua had just told them all these things that were to happen at the end of this present age we are in and the signs of His coming. And as He came to the close of His discourse He says that no man can know the day or the hour. He was giving them a clue that they would have understood because they kept the Holy Days, but those who do not keep them would not understand and would not know the day or the hour. Those people today are known as Christians who do not keep the Holy Days and have all sorts of speculative ideas about His return.

So they come up with the many rapture theories. The Mayan calendar in which the world was suppose to end in Dec 12, 2012 and a host of others I am not going to waste my time on.

I do hope you will get both our books, The Mystery of the Jewish Rapture 2033 and It Was A Riddle Not A Command so that you can learn these truths in detail. Just click on the respective links.

Because they do not understand the meaning of the Holy Days they do not know the plan of Salvation and when certain events are to take place.
The last Holy Day we kept was the Feast of Pentecost, also known as the Feast of Shabua, and The Feast of Shavuot, where we counted out 50 days from the Wave Sheaf day, which was the day after the weekly Shabbat which comes during the Days of Unleavened Bread. Do you see how they are all connected?

We explained at Pentecost how that Holy Day represents the day the Saints, all of those who have died in the faith from the time of Yehshua’s resurrection up until this time of His coming, would be raised up to meet Him in the air.

This is the meaning of the wave offering done at Pentecost the same as the one during the Days of Unleavened Bread. The raising back to life of those Saints in the faith who had died.

1Th 4:13 Now, brothers, we do not wish you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you be sad as others who have no expectation. 14 For if we believe that ????? died and rose again, so also Elohim shall bring with Him those who sleep1 in ?????. Footnote: 1An euphemism for death, a typical Hebrew word for it. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep. 16 Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. 17 Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air ‚Äď and so we shall always be with the Master. 18 So, then, encourage one another with these words.
This raising of the Saints that Paul is speaking about is what Pentecost is also talking about. Paul goes on to tell us more of this day in his letter to the Corinthians.

1Co 15:50 And this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood is unable to inherit the reign of Elohim, neither does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible has to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality. 54 And when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall come to be the word that has been written, ‚ÄúDeath is swallowed up in overcoming.‚ÄĚ 55 ‚ÄúO Death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your overcoming?‚ÄĚ 56 And the sting of death is the sin, and the power of the sin is the Torah.

This event is to take place during this Feast of Trumpets. Now I have just confused you. I have said it is both to take place at Pentecost and during the Feast of Trumpets. How is that possible?

Let us first see when the 144,000 are changed.

Rev 7:13 And one of the elders responded, saying to me, ‚ÄúWho are these dressed in white robes, and where did they come from?‚ÄĚ 14 And I said to him, ‚ÄúMaster, you know.‚ÄĚ And he said to me, ‚ÄúThese are those coming out of the great distress, having washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 ‚ÄúBecause of this they are before the throne of Elohim, and serve Him day and night in His Dwelling Place. And He who sits on the throne shall spread His Tent over them.

Note what the NKJV says.

Rev 7:15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night in His temple. And He sitting on the throne will dwell among them.

Spreading his tent over them tells me this is like Boaz the Kinsman Redeemer with Ruth.

This changing takes place at the end of the 3 ¬Ĺ years of tribulation. As we have shown you in the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycle those 3 ¬Ĺ years are from Passover 2030 to Atonement 2033.

But we also read of this saying that Yehshua spoke;

Joh 4:35 Do you not say, It is yet four months, and the harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white to harvest already. 36 And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to life eternal, so that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 And in this is the saying true, One sows and another reaps. 38 I sent you to reap that on which you bestowed no labor. Other men labored, and you have entered into their labor.

That harvest was the Harvest of Pentecost and not the Harvest in the fall. And as Paul says we will meet Him in the air. I Thes 4:17 Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air. Why do we meet Him in the air, because He has not yet descended down to the earth.

It is once we are safely changed to Spirit being then the last battle is fought. Trumpets is the symbolism of the start of this battle. And although Trumpets is one Holy Day, it begins what is known as the 10 Days of Awe. This is what our most recent book is explaining in great detail.

Ancient Israel celebrated The Feast of Trumpets with ‚Äúa sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts‚ÄĚ

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. KJV

Actually, the word ‚Äútrumpet‚ÄĚ does not appear in this verse. The phrase ‚Äútrumpet blasts‚ÄĚ translates a single Hebrew word, teruah, which means a loud, resounding noise‚ÄĒa great shout or blaring, or an awakening blast.

H8643¬†¬†¬†(Brown-Driver-Briggs) ◊™÷ľ◊®◊ē÷ľ◊Ę◊Ē teruŐā‚ÄõaŐāh

BDB Definition:

1) alarm, signal, sound of tempest, shout, shout or blast of war or alarm or joy

1a) alarm of war, war-cry, battle-cry

1b) blast (for march)

1c) shout of joy (with religious impulse)

1d) shout of joy (in general)

H8643¬†¬†¬†(Strong) ◊™÷į÷ľ◊®◊ē÷ľ◊Ę÷ł◊Ē teruŐā‚ÄõaŐāh ter-oo-aw’

From H7321; clamor, that is, acclamation of joy or a battle cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarum: – alarm, blow (-ing) (of, the) (trumpets), joy, jubile, loud noise, rejoicing, shout (-ing), (high, joyful) sound (-ing).

Notice in this definition that word is linked to the Jubilee as well.

The God‚Äôs Word Translation renders this phrase as ‚Äúa holy assembly announced by the blowing of ram‚Äôs horns.‚ÄĚ In that day a hollow animal horn, known as a shofar, was used to communicate important messages.

We read in Psalms that on the new Moon of which there is just one New Moon Holy Day and that is the Feast of Trumpets; that on this New Moon day we are to blow the Shofars.

Psa 81:1 Shout for joy to Elohim our strength; Raise a shout to the Elohim of Ya?aqob?. 2 Lift up a song and beat the tambourine, The pleasant lyre and with the harp. 3 Blow the ram’s horn at the time of the New Moon, At the full moon, on our festival day.

Some have tried to use this verses to justify the keeping the full moon to start the month. Once again stupid Ephramites still committing their adulterous actions against the Torah. The New Moon is not the full moon. Our Holy Days are on the New Moon of the 7th Month and on the Full moons of the 1st and 7th month.

Such horns, blaring an alarm like a modern air-raid or tornado siren, were used to warn of impending danger, such as imminent war. As the prophet Jeremiah lamented.

Jer 4:19 O my inward parts, my inward parts! I am in pain! O the walls of my heart! My heart pounds in me, I am not silent. For you have heard, O my being, the sound of the ram’s horn, a shout of battle!

Amo 3:6 If a ram’s horn is blown in a city, will the people not also tremble? If there is a calamity in a city, has Jehovah not also done it?

This ties in with the fact that the events of the great day of ???? that will usher in Messiah’s return will be cataclysmic, announced, as already mentioned, with angels blowing trumpets. Read Revelation 8 and 9.

Zep 1:14 The great day of Jehovah is near; it is near and rushing greatly, the voice of the day of Jehovah. The mighty man shall cry bitterly there.

Zep 1:15  That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of waste and ruin, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

Zep 1:16¬†¬†a day of the ram’s horn and alarm against the fortified cities, and against the high towers.

Zep 1:17  And I will bring distress on men, so that they shall walk with the blind, because they have sinned against Jehovah. And their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.

We have shown you in The Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles how there are five Sabbatical cycles which deal with the curses of Lev 26. The fourth cycle is the cycle of war. This is the war that comes against Israel. That is the USA and UK and her commonwealth countries and the State of Israel. These and others make up the 12 tribe nation of Israel to which prophecy is talking about.

Once they have been punished and gone into captivity for the second and final time as a result of this war that is directly ahead of us; then while we are in captivity being punished for not keeping Torah or worshiping Yehovah but have fallen for the false truths taught to us by Satan; then Yehovah will punish the nations of the world for having destroyed The 12 tribes of Israel. Yes the nations of the world will succeed in destroying the USA and UK and her commonwealth by the end of the 4th Sabbatical cycle which is the year 2023. A Sabbatical year.

When you lay out the Fall Holy Days they have a certain number of days between each one. The fact that a day can signify a year is of crucial importance in the study of the bible numbers. We are shown this concept in a number of places in the bible.

Num 14:33 ‚ÄėAnd your sons shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whorings, until your carcasses are consumed in the wilderness. 34 ‚ÄėAccording to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days ‚Äď a day for a year, a day for a year ‚Äď you are to bear your crookednesses forty years, and you shall know My breaking off.

Eze 4:4 “And lie on your left side, and you shall put the crookedness of the house of Yisra’?l on it. As many days as you lie on it, you shall bear their crookedness. 5 “For I Myself have laid on you the years of their crookedness, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days. And you shall bear the crookedness of the house of Yisra’?l. 6 “And when you have completed them, you shall lie again on your right side and shall bear the crookedness of the house of Yehud?ah forty days, a day for a year. I have laid on you a day for a year.

The Law of Moses commands that the 7th day be a day of rest, and that likewise the 7th year be a year of rest, (Ex. 20:8-11; 23:10-11).

We shall not cover the day being as a thousand years for now.

When we understand that the Jubilee year teachings have similar teachings to the Eighth Day at the end of Sukkot then we can take each of the Holy Days and apply them to the Years working backwards from the Jubilee year of 2045.

2045 is then the Eighth Day.
2044 the seventh Sabbatical year is then the Last Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles.
2038 is represented by the First Day of the Feast of tabernacles. Or the Beginning of the Wedding Ceremony.
2033 is then the five days or five years before that and represents the Day and year of Atonement.
2024 is then the ten years before that, representing the ten days before Atonement and is the Feast of Trumpets.
Now 2024 also just so happens to be the first year of 5th curse of Captivity that the 12 tribes would then be in.

Many talk about the Blood Moons of Mark Biltz but few consider the other blood moons that are to come after those two years of 2014 and 2015. Fact is, the blood moons in 2014 and 2015 do come on the Full moon of Passover in the 1st month and the again at Sukkot in the 7th month two years in a row. Yes, a very significant warning. But there was also a Dark moon at Passover and Sukkot in 2016 of which, we are the only ones to point this out.

Here is a list of those other blood moons and the ones that come on Holy Days. The potential for one month later or earlier is to be determined by the Barley whether it is ripe or not.

2025 Mar 14 If one month later than Jewish Passover
2025 Sep 07 If one month later than Jewish Sukkot
2026 Mar 03 If one month earlier than Jewish Passover.

The book of Revelation is described as;

Rev 1:1  A Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to declare to His servants things which must shortly come to pass. And He signified it by sending His angel to His servant John,

Here Yehshua repeated through the apostle John the same events He had described to His disciples decades earlier. Now, however, Yehshua used the symbolism of a series of seals He would open one by one shown to us in Revelation 6.

Rev 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, like a sound of thunder, ‚ÄúCome and see.‚ÄĚ 2 And I looked and saw a white horse , and he who sat on it holding a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went out overcoming and to overcome.
This is false religion that forces you to join its membership or die; Christianity in the middle ages and now Islam.
3 And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, ‚ÄúCome and see.‚ÄĚ 4 And another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was given to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another. And a great sword was given to him.
This seal is about war and how wars would dominate us from the time of the Messiah’s first coming down to the very end of this current age.
5 And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, ‚ÄúCome and see.‚ÄĚ And I looked and saw a black horse, and he who sat on it holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, ‚ÄúA quart of wheat for a day‚Äôs wage, and three quarts of barley for a day‚Äôs wage. And do not harm the oil and the wine.‚ÄĚ

This is about famine and the scarcity of food. The third and fourth curses of Lev 26 are also about this same famine. (It is expected to come if not before 2017 then for sure after.)(This article was originally written August 2012. Since 2018, food consumption has increased while wheat production has decreased and has continued to do so ever since.)  We are currently seeing the food stocks of the world systematically being destroyed by drought and weather phenomena the world over.

7 And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, ‚ÄúCome and see.‚ÄĚ 8 And I looked and saw a pale horse. And he who sat on it had the name Death, and the grave followed with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

This is the one I have equated to the time of the Two witnesses who cause the rain to stop all over the earth. It is at this time while Israel is in captivity that ¬ľ of the world‚Äôs population dies.

9 And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the beings of those having been slain for the Word of Elohim and for the witness which they held, 10 and they cried with a loud voice, saying, ‚ÄúHow long, O Master, set-apart and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?‚ÄĚ 11 And there was given to each one a white robe, and they were told that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brothers, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

You will notice in this verse that it speaks of avenging the deaths of the Saints. Not the forgiveness Christianity teaches. But it also warns us that some of us teaching the truth and walking this way of life will die, but not all of us.

12 And I looked when He opened the sixth seal and saw a great earthquake came to be. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood. 13 And the stars of the heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its unripe figs, being shaken by a strong wind. 14 And heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. 15 And the sovereigns of the earth, and the great ones, and the rich ones, and the commanders, and the mighty, and every slave and every free one, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, ‚ÄúFall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 because the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?‚ÄĚ

All of this has happened over the past 2000 years. But it is also going to be condensed into the last 10 years against the rest of the world.
As I was saying before, this period of the Feast of Trumpets ushers in the time known as the 10 Days of Awe. So applying a year for each day gives us the 10 Years of Awe.

It begins in 2024 when The State of Israel, The USA and The UK and her commonwealth countries have been defeated in battle and their lands invaded and the people are abused and killed and forced into slave labour.

2024 is also the beginning of the 7 year sabbatical cycle of captivity and famine. It is at this time that Yehshua begins to attack the rest of the world for having done such a terrible thing to the bride of Yehshua.

Although this article was written in 2012, this is the basis of the book The 10 Days of Awe that we just released to our supporters this week. The book will be available in a few months time after the editing is complete.

O Holy Night

O Holy Night

Every year we watch as our families celebrate Christmas and we wanting to obey Yehovah will not celebrate with them. It is the exact same way the rainbow has been highjacked from Noah’s Ark and Yehovah’s covenant to mankind and used for an abomination, so has the birth of Yehshua been highjacked and used to celebrate Nimrod and his false religions.

The Feast of Trumpets celebrates the birth of Yehshua, of Yehovah as John 1 describes.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 1:2  He was in the beginning with God.

Joh 1:3  All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

Joh 1:4  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

Joh 1:5  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.

Joh 1:14  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

So let us not be afraid to sing those songs that we can sing in celebration of the birth of our Messiah on the Feast of Trumpets. Not all songs are appropriate but some are. Today, Yom Teruah is the birth of our King. Sing out and take back what Satan has stolen from us.

At christmas we plan and prepare for weeks in advance. At Trumpets we always seem to be caught off guard and it suddenly is here. Stop all the rushing around. Stop everything that is taking your time. PAUSE, STOP and consider what this day means. Yehovah came down to this earth and dwelt with us.

Take back what Satan has stolen from us. Keep this time Holy.

US Navy Admiral William H. McRaven, one of the most decorated US commanders, delivers one of the best motivational speeches you will ever hear. ‚ĖļInspired? Get McRaven’s book, Make Your Bed:

‚ÄúLife is a struggle and the potential for failure is ever present, but those who live in fear of failure, or hardship, or embarrassment will never achieve their potential. Without pushing your limits, without occasionally sliding down the rope headfirst, without daring greatly, you will never know what is truly possible in your life.‚ÄĚ ‚Äē William H. McRaven

Oh Holy Night

I would like you to listen to this version of Oh Holy Night as we approach The Feast of Trumpets.

And then I would like you to listen to this version of What Child is This.

Each year when Christmas comes around many of us refuse to get involved because we understand the real meaning of this time of year that the world keeps at December 25th. But, in so doing we often neglect to celebrate the true birth of Yehshua and all that took place around that time. Yehshua was born on the Feast of Yom Teruah. This is the reason we now have party horns to blow on our birthdays today. Some people (I was once one of them, but not now) have taken a church teaching and no longer keep birthdays. They do this on the basis that every time a birthday is mentioned in the bible people die.

Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that observing birthdays is wrong. Those who do say it is wrong use four predominant lines of reasoning to prevent their flocks celebrating birthdays:

  1. People died at the two birthdays mentioned in the Bible
  2. Day of death better than birth ‚Äď undue honour
  3. Not celebrated by Jews or Christians
  4. Pagan

When presented together, these may appear to provide solid defense against birthdays. However, when deconstructed each point shows poor logic.

This is based on comments such as the following:

‚ÄúThe Bible reports only two birthday celebrations, both of persons who were not servants of the true God. The first was that of Pharaoh of Egypt. It was marked by the hanging of Pharaoh‚Äôs baker, who had been in prison with Joseph. ‚Ķ The second, some 1,800 years later, was the birthday of Herod Antipas [during which the daughter of Herodias asked for] ‚ÄėThe head of John the baptizer.‚Äô ‚Ķ Is it just coincidental that they are mentioned and that both were for persons not having God‚Äôs approval? Or could it be that Jehovah deliberately had these details recorded in his Word, which he says is ‚Äúbeneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight‚ÄĚ?‚ÄĚ

Let us take back the birth of Yehshua and do it on the proper date and with the proper understanding of all that it reveals to us about the future.

Chapter 1
Dedication to Theophilus

Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.

John’s Birth Announced to Zacharias

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.

So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division, according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

But the angel said to him, ‚ÄúDo not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother‚Äôs womb. And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‚Äėto turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,‚Äô and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.‚ÄĚ

And Zacharias said to the angel, ‚ÄúHow shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.‚ÄĚ

And the angel answered and said to him, ‚ÄúI am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.‚ÄĚThere is also the story of Molech and his birthday on December 25 the winter solstice. This is another proof not to keep birthdays.

Coming from the Churches of God I was one who would not keep birthdays. I regret this now for my family’s sake. I was just ignorant of all the facts. Don’t you be so ignorant also.

Nehemiah Gordon writes that most Jews have no clue what the meaning of the Blowing of Trumpets is about.

One of the unique¬†things about Yom Teruah is that the Torah does not say what the purpose of this holy day is. The Torah gives at least one reason for all the other holy days and two reasons for some. The Feast of Matzot (Unleavened Bread) commemorates the Exodus from Egypt, but it is also a celebration of the beginning of the barley harvest (Exodus 23:15; Leviticus 23:4‚Äď14). The Feast of Shavuot (Weeks) is a celebration of the wheat harvest (Exodus 23:16; 34:22). Yom Ha-Kippurim is a national day of atonement as described in great detail in Leviticus 16. Finally, the Feast of Sukkot (Booths) commemorates the wandering of the Israelites in the desert and is also a celebration of the ingathering of agricultural produce (Exodus 23:16). In contrast to all these Torah festivals, Yom Teruah has no clear purpose other than that we are commended to rest on this day.

Many Messed up Messianic are now believing that Yehshua was born at Sukkot because of the faulty logic that He must have been circumcised on the 8th day. And that is the end of their research. Again do not be ignorant of the truth. Search all things.

This week I want to share what is normally called the Christmas story. It is not the Christmas story but it is the birth of the Messiah Yehshua. Yehovah would not send His son on just any old day. And most of you have never heard the whole story before. We are just weeks away from this momentous event in the lives of mankind. Do you not think you should know it, so you can teach your kids and grandchildren the truth? Now you can.

Let us now read with our children about the birth of Yehshua. Note that they took Yehshua up to the Temple after her impurity was over.

Click on the following link to our factual teaching of the Birth of our King.

We are just days away from Yom Teruah, the Feast of Shouting, the Feast of Trumpets. This is the Feast that the Jews do not know the meaning of.

On the 1st day of the Seventh month¬†(Tishrei) the Torah commands us to observe the holy day of Yom Teruah which means ‚ÄúDay of Shouting‚ÄĚ (Lev 23:23-25; Nu 29:1-6). Yom Teruah is a day of rest on which work is forbidden. One of the unique things about Yom Teruah is that the Torah does not say what the purpose of this holy day is. The Torah gives at least one reason for all the other holy days and two reasons for some. The Feast of Matzot (Unleavened Bread) commemorates the Exodus from Egypt but it is also a celebration of the beginning of the barley harvest (Exodus 23:15; Lev 23:4‚Äď14). The Feast of Shavuot (Weeks) is a celebration of the wheat harvest (Ex 23:16; 34:22). Yom Ha-Kippurim is a national day of atonement as described in great detail in Leviticus 16. Finally the Feast of Sukkot (Booths) commemorates the wandering of the Israelites in the desert but it is also a celebration of the ingathering of agricultural produce (Ex 23:16). In contrast to all these Torah festivals, Yom Teruah has no clear purpose other than that we are commanded to rest on this day.

The name of Yom Teruah may provide a clue as to its purpose. Teruah literally means to make a loud noise. This word can describe the noise made by a trumpet but it also describes the noise made by a large gathering of people shouting in unison (Nu 10:5‚Äď6). For example:
‚ÄúAnd it shall come to pass when the ram‚Äôs horn makes a long blast, when you hear the sound of the shofar, the entire nation will shout a great shout, and the wall of the city shall fall in its place, and the people shall go up as one man against it.‚ÄĚ (Joshua 6:5)

Many times I am asked if it is okay to celebrate a birthday. So many people want nothing to do with the day a person was born. They associate it with an evil or pagan thing. But is that correct?

Yom Teruah, the day of Shouting, is about the day the Messiah was born and it is the announcement that He has arrived. Stop and ask yourself if Yehovah would really send the Messiah on just any old day? The answer is no. As you just read, many of the Holy Days have one or more meaningful events take place on them.

Yom Teruah is the day the Messiah was born and it is also the day upon which He will come at the end of the 7th Millennium just before the 8th one begins. We have taught on this before. If you want proof as to how I know Yehshua was born on this day then you can read the following articles:

Each year we all shy away from the story of the Messianic birth because it is surrounded by the Christmas story on December 25. I noticed I have never taught on this story and it was mainly for that reason. Yom Teruah is the birth of Yehshua and this year I wanted to go over those verses that lead up to that very important time when the angels were blowing their shofars to announce it. The Day of Blowing. Hmmm.
At the same time this will answer the question about birthdays. Always ask yourself, what does Yehovah say about this?
Let us go through the entire story of the birth of the Messiah and understand. I will point out those things along the way that you should be made aware of.

Luk 1:1  Since many took in hand to draw up an account concerning the matters which have been borne out among us, 2  even as those who from the beginning delivered to us, becoming eye-witnesses and ministers of the Word, 3  it seemed good to me also, following all things accurately from the very first, to write to you in order, most excellent Theophilus, 4  so that you might know the certainty of those things in which you have been instructed. 5  In the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abijah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.

The course of Abijah. Many use this to teach about the birth of the Messiah. Lets look at it briefly.

The Course of Abija
Posted on November 2, 2012
How many of you have heard of the course of Abija?  Did you know it is one of the only ways to date the birth of Jesus in the Bible?  95% of Americans will celebrate the birth of Christ this year, so I thought some might be interested in the Biblical case for the timing of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Most are familiar with story of the birth of Christ from Luke 2.  But it is Luke 1 that provides the means by which the timing of the birth of Jesus can be determined.  In Luke 1 we have the story of Zacharias, the priest, and his wife, Elisabeth.  Zacharias and Elisabeth were well on in years and without children.  As it is told in Luke 1, Zacharias was performing his duty in the temple when the angel appeared and told him they would have a son and to call his name John.  Needless to say Zacharias was somewhat incredulous, considering their age.  As proof of his message the angel told Zacharias he would be unable to speak until the day the message was fulfilled.
The passage goes on to say that Elisabeth conceived after Zacharias’ service ended.  Then 6 months later Mary, the mother of Jesus, conceived.  Zacharias performed his priestly service during the course of Abijah which fell during the latter part of the 4thmonth.  From this it is a simple matter to determine the general time of the birth of Jesus.  The chart below gives the priestly courses in relation to the conception of Elisabeth and Mary.
Luke 1:35-37  35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.  36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.  37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

What most people never think of is Adar Bet.  Adar Bet is the 13 month in the Calendar. In other words a leap year.  Is it possible to have a leap year in these courses of the Priestly duties? Yes, it is. Was the year Yehshua born a leap year?  You cannot use the current Hebrew calendar for this calculation as it had not yet been instituted yet which only occurred in the 12th century C.E. We have no real way to be certain if a leap year had occurred or not. But let’s just look at the chart above. Yehshua was born at the end of the ninth month, not the beginning of it and not after 8 1/2 months on Sukkot. He was born after 9 complete months. When Adar Bet is added after the month of Adar then the birth of Yehshua comes at the end of the ninth month, on the first day of the 10th month of Mary’s pregnancy. This is the first of Tishri or Yom Teruah.

Childbirth usually occurs about 38 weeks after conception; in women who have a menstrual cycle length of four weeks, this is approximately 40 weeks from the start of the last normal menstrual period (LNMP)

If you count the weeks from the very week Mary should have gotten pregnant you will see that by the end of the month of Tishri would only be 36 weeks. Yet she gives birth after 38 weeks. Now let us add one Adar Bet or a leap month. But there is one more thing everyone is missing. Elizabeth was in her 6th month. It was still the 6th month not the start of the 7th, as the chart is showing you and most people then begin to count from.
You have 4 weeks in that 6th month to work from. Mary is told this news during the 6th month. After this news she departs in haste to go and see Elizabeth and by the time she gets there Mary is pregnant. All of this happens during the 6th month. So was it the first week or the 2nd week or third week? You are about to prove it for yourself.
Now, let us count the weeks from the beginning of the 6th month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy.

Tevet the 10th month 4 weeks

Shivat the 11th month 8 weeks

Adar 1 the 12th month 12 weeks

Adar 2 the 13th Month 16 weeks

Nisan the 1st month 20 weeks

Iyar the 2nd month 24 weeks

Sivan the 3rd month 28 weeks

Tammuz the 4th month 32 weeks

Av the 5th month 36 weeks

Elul the 6th month 40 weeks

We can then assume that the 6th month was half over and that Mary conceived in the middle of the sixth month. 38 weeks later takes you to the end of the month of Elul and the birth of Yehshua on the 1st of Tishri, The Feast of Trumpets. Just as we quoted our source above said it would 38 weeks after conception.
Now we know for sure Yehshua was not born on December 25. And we also now know He was not born at Sukkot.

6 And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.7 And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren. And both were advanced in their days. 8 And it happened in his serving in the order of his course, before God, 9 according to the custom of the priests, it was his lot to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 10 And all the multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense. 11 And an angel of the Lord appeared to him as he was standing on the right of the altar of incense. 12 And seeing this, Zacharias was troubled, and fear fell on him. 13 But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias. For your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you shall have joy and gladness, and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall neither drink wine nor strong drink. And he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.

Look at what Yehshua said about John:

Mat 11:7And as they departed, Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John, What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? ¬†8But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft¬†clothing? Behold, they who wear soft¬†clothing¬†are in kings‚Äô houses. ¬†9But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and¬†one¬†more excellent than a prophet. ¬†10For this is¬†the one¬†of whom it is written, ‚ÄúBehold, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You.‚ÄĚ ¬†11Truly I say to you, Among¬†those¬†who have been born of women there has not risen a greater one than John the Baptist. But the least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. ¬†12And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of Heaven is taken by violence, and the violent take it by force. ¬†13For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. ¬†14And if you will receive¬†it, this is Elijah who is to come.¬†15He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Luke1:16 And he shall turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 18 And Zacharias said to the angel, By what shall I know this? For I am old, and my wife is advanced in her days. 19 And answering, the angel said to him, I am Gabriel, who stands before God. And I am sent to speak to you and to show you these glad tidings. 20 And behold, you shall be silent and not able to speak until the day that these things shall be performed, because you did not believe my words which shall be fulfilled in their time.

Compare the doubt of Zacharias to the words of Mary when the angel greeted her. A stark contrast and a warning for us.

21 And the people waited for Zacharias and marveled that he stayed so long in the temple. 22 And when he came out, he could not speak to them. And they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple. And he was making signs to them, and remained speechless. 23 And as soon as the days of his service were accomplished, he departed to his own house. 24 And after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived and hid herself five months, saying, 25 So the Lord has dealt with me in the days in which He looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

Notice that Zacharias did not know Elizabeth until ‚Äúafter‚ÄĚ he had completed his time at the temple. And then in the next verse it says ‚ÄúIN‚ÄĚ the sixth month.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

This name Nazareth is

G3478 ????????, ???????? Nazareth  Nazaret
Of uncertain derivation;¬†Nazareth¬†or¬†Nazaret, a place in Palestine: ‚Äď Nazareth.

On our last tour of Israel with Avi ben Mordechai we stopped at the city of Gamala. I hope to have up the video teaching I recorded of this city. If so, you can see it here. But here is the evidence of Gamala. Yehshua was a netser or in other words, a BRANCH See the notes on Mathew 2:23 below. He was not from Nazareth.

Evidence Found at Gamala
‚ÄúAnd seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:‚ÄĚ‚ÄĒMatthew 5:1
The numerous mentions of mountains and their proximity to the Sea of Galilee, in the gospels, should raise a red flag as Nazareth is more than twenty miles from the Sea and situated on a flat plateau and Capernaum is at sea level, but with no mountains. However, the Sea is actually visible from Gamala or Gamla, which is seven miles northeast of the east bank, and unlike Nazareth actually existed during the time of Christ and had its own Temple, This city, which was excavated during the 1970’s and 80s, was the home of Judas of Galilee, and would too closely tie the Jesus of Christianity with the Jewish rebels. It is also the main region inhabited by the original Nazorean sect.
‚ÄúHerod, upon his return to Syria, finding himself unable to reach the robbers themselves, invaded Trachon and slew many of their relations there, in retaliation for which they still more harassed and pillaged his territory (‚ÄúAntiquities‚ÄĚ xvi. 91). In the end, Herod threw 2000 Idumzeans into Trachonitis (i6. 2), and placed a Babylonian Jew named Zamaris, a leader of mercenaries, in command of the surrounding districts. Zamaris built fortresses, and a village called Bathyra, and protected the Jews coming up from Babylon to attend the feasts in Jerusalem against the Trachonite robbers. The consequence was that, till the end of Herod‚Äôs reign, the country around Trachonitis enjoyed tranquillity‚ÄĚ‚ÄďJosephus, ‚ÄúAntiquities‚ÄĚ xvii. 2 1-2.
Bathyra was the academy built on the deserted estate of John Hyrcanus. Herod promised five hundred Babylonians tax-free status forever if they built a military academy there to protect his border. On their own they established a religious academy with such teachers as Hillel (110 BCE-10CE) and his grandson Gamaliel I. From topographic descriptions of the camel humps used to identify both Bathyra and Gamala, one can conclude that they are synonymous.

The city of Gamala on the Golan derived its name from gamal (Hebrew for camel), since it was situated on a hill shaped like a camels hump. The Hasmonean ruler Alexander Yannaeus founded the city in the first century BCE and it continued to be inhabited by Jews, as attested to by Josephus Flavius (Antiquities of the Jews 13:394). Josephus, a Jew, was Commander of Galilee during the Jewish Revolt against Rome and in 66 CE fortified Gamala as his main stronghold on the Golan. He gives a very detailed topographical description of the city and describes the Roman siege under the command of Vespasian which led to its conquest in 67 CE. The Romans attempted to take the city by means of a siege ramp, but were turned back by the defenders; only on the second attempt did they succeed in penetrating the fortifications and conquering the city. Thousands of inhabitants were slaughtered, while others chose to jump to their deaths from the top of the cliff (Josephus, The Jewish War IV, 1-83). Gamala has not been rebuilt since.

The following is the history leading up to the birth of Yehshua. It was a very tough area to grow up in as Herod sought to kill off the line of people who descended from the Davidic line. I have edited the dates of this article to match those of the birth of Yehshua.

Gamla, the Home of the Jewish Resistance Movement
Where Prince Matthan ben Eliezar lived we have no direct evidence to date, but the genealogy and history suggests that his family may have lived in the hilltop fortress of Gamla.  Matthan’s first born son, Jacob, became the Patriarch of the Jerusalem Patriarchate.  He lived in Jerusalem as the first of the Abiudite Davidian Lineage Princes to achieve such predominance in Jewish governance since the days of the Persian Governor Nehemiah and his descendants, who also served as Persian Governors of Judea. They were all heirs of Governor Zerubabbel by his 1st Babylonian wife, Amytis.

Secular history does attest that the second oldest son of Matthan ben Eliezar, Hezekiah the Zealot lived in later years near the western shores of Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) at the city of Sepphoris while his younger brother Judas of Gamala kept his identity with his native city of Gamla, on the eastern side of Galilean Sea.  The evidence suggests that Jacob, Hezekiah, and Judas grew up in the region of the city of Gamla.

The city of Gamla in the foothills of the Golan Ridge gets its name from the Hebrew word, gamal, which means camel. There on a ridge that looked like a camel’s rump, the Hasmonean king, Alexander Jannaeus founded the city, whose historical roots go all the way back to the Early Bronze Age and later conquered by Joshua and the Israelites.  Gamla was annexed into the Hasmonean State in 81 BCE.
As late as 66 CE, it was the Jewish Commander of Galilee, Flavius Josephus, who also fortified the city of Gamala in anticipation of the arrival of the Roman legions of General Vespasian (Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews XIII, 394).  Located on a basaltic rocky ridge completely surrounded by deep ravines and gorges, a shallow saddle separated the city from the rest of the ridge.  This provided the city with great strategic and defensive positions. At the top of the hill the ridge become very narrow and pointed with a deep slope on the northern face and a more graduated slope where the city was built on the south. To the east was the entrance to the city and fronted by a massive square basalt stone fortification wall.   It had multiple square towers on the side while a circular citadel tower was built on the crest.
After a siege and two attempts with rampart siege engines, the Roman forces penetrated the fortress on the eastern fortification walls with a five meter wide breach depicted evidence of significant fighting with arrowheads and numerous ballistic balls. As the fighting progressed into the city, the soldiers and citizens retreated to the citadel on the top of the cliff.Over four thousand Jewish fighters were killed in battle while over five thousand were killed fleeing towards the cliffs and to their death.Only until the 70’s was the city of Gamala archeologically rediscovered and identified.

In the year of 23 BCE, the sister and twin brothers of Joseph were secretly removed to the home of their uncle, Hezekiah the Zealot up in Galilee so they could be outside the reach of King Herod’s grasp, when their father and Hezekiah’s brother, Patriarch of Jerusalem, Jacob ben Matthan was executed on charges of sedition against the royal throne of King Herod.  It also appears that the three daughters, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Joanne, born to the reigning High Priest of Israel, Yeshua III were also secreted to the same region in the same year.
It was during that year, that King Herod in a fit of amorous passion rearranged the political and religious Jewish hierarchy by executing the leading officer of the Jerusalem Patriarchate and deposing and probably executing the High Priest in order that he could appoint a new High Priest, Simon V Boethus, so that he could marry his daughter, Miriamne II.
The evidence is still not clear whether Hezekiah the Zealot, a name that he may have earned in later years, was living in the fortress city of Gamla in 23 BCE, for where we find Hezekiah the Zealot, now involved in the Jewish Resistance Movement around 6 BCE, involved in setting up the Theocratic State of Galilee at the city of Sepphoris on the western coast of Galilee.  It appears the younger son, Judas of Gamala, stayed closer to the home front and earned the name of its identity.

In the center of the city was an impressive rectangular shaped synagogue oriented in the directed of Jerusalem to the southwest.  The central pillared synagogue had several rows of stone-built benches along the walls. In the courtyard were wide steps that led down to the mikvah ritual baths of purification. The city, located on the sides of the mountain was terraced with stepped alleys, and in the western part of the city were residences with large rooms suggesting owners of distinction, wealth, and prominence.  The numerous oil presses suggested an agrarian economy that was supported by its olive oil industry.

Within the fire and conflagration¬†of the¬†collapsing walls, the¬†city for nineteen hundred years was preserved.¬†Within the ruins¬†were¬†found unique coins¬†that were¬†minted at Gamla¬†during the¬†Jewish Revolt.¬† On the¬†observe¬†was¬†written¬†the words,¬†ligeulat, meaning ‚Äúfor the redemption of‚Ä̬†and on¬†the reverse,¬†Yerushalayim Hakedosha¬†meaning¬†‚ÄúHoly Jerusalem‚ÄĚ.¬† This highlights¬†the¬†strong ties between¬†the¬†Citadel at Gamla¬†and the¬†city of Jerusalem¬†and the¬†firm belief¬†of the¬†citizens at Gamala¬†that¬†their defense¬†was also a¬†defense to save Jerusalem. The intense Zionistic fervor¬†was¬†preserved¬†to¬†its last days.

After the revolt and execution of Simon V of Perea, the last of the all-Jewish Tobaidite Davidian princes, the next Davidian prince to rise in opposition to Rome was the brother of Patriarch Jacob ben Matthan; Hezekiah the Zealot in 4 BCE.  Jacob, apparently the oldest, was the Patriarch of Jerusalem between the years of 32 to 23 BCE.  He was killed, according to David Hughes, on charges of sedition against the Herodian state the same year that Yeshua III (Jesus III) the high priest was removed from the office of the high priest with the same charges.

It was¬†in the¬†year of¬†23 BCE, the¬†children¬†of¬†Patriarch Jacob¬†were¬†secreted out of Jerusalem¬†and¬†taken to Gamala¬†to be¬†raised¬†in the¬†home of their uncle, the¬†brother of¬†Jacob,¬†Hezekiah the Zealot.¬† The¬†children¬†of¬†Jacob the Patriarch¬†were;¬†Princess Miriam (12 years old),¬†Prince Joseph (6 years old),¬†and the¬†‚Äútwins‚ÄĚ Ptolas and Clopas (3 years old).

Their mother, Cleopatra of Jerusalem, now a widow, was taken under the orders of King Herod and given to be the wife of the new High Priest, Simon IV Boethus.  This young Egyptian Princess, Cleopatra of Jerusalem, appeared to be a pawn of political expediency for King Herod.
There¬†in the¬†home¬†of¬†Hezekiah (Hizkiah or Ezekias),¬†the¬†four children¬†of¬†Patriarch Jacob: Miriam,¬†Joseph, Ptolas,¬†and¬†Clopas¬†were¬†raised¬†with¬†Hezekiah‚Äôs three sons: Judas, Menahem,¬†and¬†Jacob.¬†Truly lovers of Israel, the¬†foster family¬†of¬†Prince Joseph, were¬†classical Zionists,¬†ones who dearly loved¬†their¬†‚Äúpromised land‚Ä̬†and¬†firmly believed¬†in the¬†Providential Covenant¬†of the¬†Promise¬†that¬†‚ÄúThis Land is Our Land‚ÄĚ.¬†¬†Yet,¬†within the¬†heart¬†of¬†Uncle Hezekiah¬†was a¬†burning ache¬†that¬†it was not part¬†of¬†God‚Äôs covenant¬†that¬†they were destined¬†to be¬†slaves and pawns¬†under the¬†tyrannical rule of King Herod.

All the children¬†were¬†grown up, and¬†adults of their own, in the¬†year¬†that¬†King Herod died¬†in the¬†fall of 1 BCE.¬†¬†Prince Joseph, a¬†‚ÄúCarpenter‚Ä̬†or¬†‚ÄúMaster Guildsman‚Ä̬†by¬†trade, who was¬†capable of doing¬†any¬†form of construction,¬†was¬†financially struggling¬†under the¬†heavy hand¬†of¬†King Herod, as¬†he sought¬†to¬†eliminate¬†in¬†pogroms of terror¬†any¬†Davidian prince¬†that¬†lived within¬†his¬†kingdom.
By the year¬†of 1¬†BCE,¬†Prince Joseph‚Äôs¬†adopted Son,¬†Yehoshua (Jesus),¬†who was¬†conceived¬†by his¬†betrothed bride,¬†Princess Miriam¬†under¬†miraculous circumstances¬†was¬†two years old.¬†¬†¬†Suddenly¬†the¬†village¬†of¬†Bethlehem ‚ÄúEphrata‚Ä̬†was¬†under siege¬†in a¬†commando massacre raid¬†early in 1 BCE, after a¬†group of¬†Magi from the East¬†came¬†into the¬†city of Jerusalem, looking for the¬†royal child¬†who was¬†destined¬†to be the¬†‚Äúking of the Jews‚ÄĚ.¬† The¬†royal family¬†of¬†Prince Joseph¬†and¬†Princess Miriam¬†were¬†not to be found, for in an¬†act of divine providence,¬†Joseph¬†was¬†warned to escape¬†to the¬†land of Egypt.

By 1 BCE,¬†the¬†older sister¬†of¬†Prince Joseph,¬†Princess Miriam(also), now at the¬†age of thirty one, was¬†married¬†to¬†Prince Theudas, who was¬†famous¬†to be the¬†last of the anti-Princes¬†and the¬†oldest son¬†of the¬†anti-king Athronges.¬†He was¬†the¬†last dynastic Patriarch¬†of the¬†Pelatiahite¬†Lineage¬†that¬†once descended¬†from the¬†officially approved Jewish lineages¬†of the¬†oldest son¬†of¬†Governor Zerubabbel¬†and his¬†3rd¬†Jewish wife,¬†Esthra‚Äôs¬†second son,¬†Prince Pelatiah.¬† They¬†also¬†had¬†been outcasts¬†in¬†Jewish society¬†for¬†Pelatiah¬†had¬†married a ‚Äúforeign‚ÄĚ bride.

Prince Theudas¬†was¬†different. He was a¬†man of peace¬†and¬†later became¬†a¬†rabbi (teacher) and leader¬†in the¬†Jesus messianic movement¬†called the¬†Nazarenes. History¬†would¬†later reveal¬†that¬†Theudas¬†was a part of the¬†chosen ‚ÄúSeventy‚Ä̬†and¬†later¬†as a¬†‚Äúprophet‚ÄĚ of renown¬†that¬†Josephus¬†called a¬†‚Äúwizard‚Ä̬†or¬†‚Äúmiracle worker‚ÄĚ, a name¬†that was¬†also¬†called his¬†nephew,¬†Yehoshua HaMaschiach (Jesus the Messiah).

Luke 1:27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in to her and said, Hail, one receiving grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold! You shall conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call His name JESUS.

Let us now read Isaiah and Revelation which describe this event that is written in the stars. The constellation Virgo explains this same prophecy.

Rev 12:1  And there appeared a great sign in the heavens, a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head, 2  and having a babe in womb, she cries, being in travail, having been distressed to bear. 3  And another sign was seen in the heavens. And behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads! 4  And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them onto the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman being about to bear, so that when she bears he might devour her child. 5  And she bore a son, a male, who is going to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38 And Mary said, Behold the servant of the Lord. Let it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her. 39 And Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah. 40 And she entered into the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And it happened as Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, 42 and cried out with a loud voice and said, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 And from where is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For lo, as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believes, for there shall be a perfecting of those things which were told her from the Lord. 46 And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48 For He looked on the humiliation of His slave woman. For, behold, from now on all generations shall count me blessed. 49 For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name. 50 And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation. 51 He has worked power with His arm, He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their heart. 52 He has put down rulers from their seats and exalted the lowly, 53 He has filled the hungry with good things, and He has sent away the rich empty. 54 He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy, 55 as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed forever. 56 And Mary stayed with her about three months, and returned to her own house. 57 And the time was fulfilled to Elizabeth for her to bear. And she bore a son. 58 And her neighbors and her kinsfolk heard how the Lord had magnified His mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her. 59 And it happened that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and were calling it Zacharias, after his father’s name. 60 And his mother answered and said, No, but he shall be called John. 61 And they said to her, There is none of your kindred that is called by this name. 62 And they made signs to his father as to how he would have him called. 63 And he asked for a writing tablet and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they all marveled. 64  And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosened. And he spoke and praised God. 65  And fear came on all who lived all around them. And all these things were talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea. 66  And all those who heard laid them up in their hearts, saying, What kind of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him. 67  And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying, 68  Blessed is the Lord, the God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people 69  and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David, 70  as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from eternity; 71  that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, 72  to perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant, 73  the oath which He swore to our father Abraham, 74  that He would grant to us, that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear 75  in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. 76  And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest, for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, 77  to give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, 78  through the tender mercy of our God; by which the Dayspring from on high has visited us, 79  to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. 80  And the child grew and became strong in spirit and was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.

Luk 2:1¬†¬†And it happened in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.¬†2¬†¬†(This taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)¬†3¬†¬†And all went to be registered, each to¬†his¬†own city.¬†4¬†¬†And Joseph also went up from Galilee to be taxed (out of¬†the¬†city of Nazareth, into Judea, to¬†the¬†city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of¬†the¬†house and family line of David).¬†5¬†¬†And he took Mary his betrothed wife, being with child.¬†6¬†¬†And while they were there, the days¬†for¬†her deliverance were fulfilled.¬†7¬†¬†And she brought forth her son, the First-born, and wrapped Him, and laid Him in a manger‚Äď because there was no room for them in the inn.¬†8¬†¬†And in the same country there were shepherds living in the field, keeping watch over their flock¬†by¬†night.

After Sukkot the weather changes and is rainy and cold. No one is out in the fields at this time. But they are still out there up until Sukkot. The Feast of Trumpets takes place 15 days before Sukkot.

9  And lo, the angel of the Lord came on them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. And they were grievously afraid. 10  And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For behold, I give to you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11  For to you is born today, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12  And this is a sign to you. You will find the babe wrapped, lying in a manger. 13  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, 14  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

The Feast of Shouting. Here it is and no one sees it. The announcement of the Arrival of the Messiah. The Feast of Shouting.

15  And it happened as the angels departed from them into Heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Indeed, let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing which has happened, which the Lord made known to us. 16  And hurrying they came and sought out both Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger. 17  And seeing, they publicly told about the word spoken to them concerning this Child. 18  And all those who heard marveled about the things spoken to them by the shepherds. 19  But Mary kept all these sayings, meditating in her heart. 20  And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as was spoken to them. 21  And when eight days were fulfilled to circumcise the child, His name was called JESUS, the name called by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.

All males are to be circumcised on the 8th day after they’re birth. But do people actually read what it says here? If they did then they would not be arguing that Jesus was born at Sukkot and circumcised on the 8th day of the Feast. Read what is said in Leviticus.

Lev 12:2  Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If a woman has conceived seed and has borne a male, then she shall be unclean seven days; as on the days of her menstrual impurity she shall be unclean. 3  And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. 4  And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying thirty-three days. She shall touch no holy thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying are fulfilled.

This word sanctuary is the Temple, and Mary would not have been allowed up there in her impurity. So it was not until 40 days (7 + 33) after the birth of Yehshua that they brought him up to the Temple, as we read in verse 22. From the time of his birth until 40 days later they stayed in Bethlehem.

22  And when the days of her purification according to the Law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought Him to Jerusalem, to present Him to the Lord 23  (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, Every male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord) 24  and to offer a sacrifice according to that said in the Law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons. 25  And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. And this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel. And the Holy Spirit was on him. 26  And it happened to him, being instructed by the Holy Spirit, he was not to see death before he would see the Christ of the Lord. 27  And he came by the Spirit into the temple. And as the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do according to the custom of the Law concerning Him, 28  even he received Him in his arms and blessed God, and said, 29  Lord, now You will let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word. 30  For my eyes have seen Your Salvation 31  which You have prepared before the face of all the peoples, 32  a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of Your people Israel. 33  And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken by him. 34  And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, Behold, this One is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel, and for a sign spoken against 35  (yea, a sword shall pierce through your own soul also), so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. 36  And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in many days, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity. 37  And she was a widow of eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, serving God with fastings and prayers night and day. 38  And she coming in at that instant gave thanks to the Lord and spoke of Him to all those in Jerusalem eagerly expecting redemption. 39  And when they had finished all things according to the Law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth. 40  And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom. And the grace of God was on Him. 41  And His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. 42  And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the Feast. 43  And fulfilling the days, as they returned, the boy Jesus stayed in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know. 44  But they, supposing Him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey. And they looked for Him among the kinsfolk and acquaintances. 45  And when they did not find Him, they turned back to Jerusalem, seeking Him. 46  And it happened that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both hearing them and questioning them. 47  And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. 48  And seeing Him, they were amazed. And His mother said to Him, Child, why have you done so to us? Behold, your father and I have looked for you, greatly distressed. 49  And He said to them, Why did you look for Me? Do you not know that I must be about My Father’s business? 50  And they did not understand the word which He spoke to them. 51  And He went with them and came to Nazareth, and He was subject to them. But His mother kept all these sayings in her heart. 52  And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

What ever happened to Yeshua after the age of 12?

Jesus in Glastonbury
It is more than coincidence that the raid on Sepphoris occurred at around the time that coincides with the start of the missing years of Jesus in the gospels. Jesus is supposed to have landed in England according to the Jesus in Cornwall tradition. The House of God in the great Monastery of Glastonbury, called the Secret of the Lord, is recorded in the Doomsday Book (1088 C.E.). Traditionally, the twelve Hides of Land of the Church of Glastonbury, descend from an original grant given Joseph of Arimathaea, by King Arviragus (10 C.E.-74 C.E.), in the XXXI year after the Passion of Christ.

In a letter to Pope Gregory, St. Augustine states that there was a church¬†‚Äúconstructed by no human art, but divinely contructed (or by the hands of Christ Himself), for the salvation of His people.‚Ä̬†The historian, Gildas, says Jesus‚Äô¬†‚ÄúLight and precepts‚ÄĚ were ‚Äúafforded‚Ķto this island during the ‚Ķlast year of the reign of Tiberius. Tiberius retired to Caprae in A.D. 27. William of Malmesbury includes in his writings the contents of a letter given by King Ina to Glastonbury, 700 AD.‚Ä̬†(Tiberius officially reigned till 37 CE)¬†‚ÄúTo the ancient church, situate in the place called Glastonbury (which Church the Great High Priest and Chiefest Minister formerly through His own ministry, and that of angels‚Ķ..‚ÄĚThis confirms Gildas‚Äô statement that Jesus had a ministry at Glastonbury. The historical records called the Doomsday Surveys, also bear witness to Jesus‚Äô presence in Glastonbury. These surveys state that Glastonbury contained 12 hides (160 acre parcels) of land that¬†‚Äúhave never paid tax.‚Ä̬†This was because the King Arviragus gave these parcels to Joseph of Arimathea when he arrived in England in 37 AD. Do the math 37-31=6 CE not 30 CE. The little we know about Judas of Galilee comes from the Pharisaic Jewish historian Josephus who worked for the Roman Emperor and was totally opposed to Judas and the Zealots. However, it seems likely that the crucifixion of Christ mentioned in the Cornwall tradition is that of Judas and not of Jesus. Jesus was known as Melchizedek among the Essene or the Archangel Michael incarnate as Michael Zadok, Zadok referring to the Zadok family of the Zadokite priesthood. So, Sadduc must have been Jesus. Since Cunobeline rose to power in Britain c 9 CE, then Jesus must have migrated to Britain after 6 and prior to 9 CE.

In all likelihood the warrior king was now dead and the flesh atonement (the Jewish Christ) had sought refuge in Britain, never to be seen again in the land of Moses. Once again the Essene community must have sunk into a deep depression. However, by now the Zealot movement, which dreamed of a thousand year Jewish Empire, had moved front and center.

You can read more about the missing years of Yehshua at this link, and this one on Joseph of Arimathea. Here are some more details about exactly who Yehshua was descended from.

Ancient tradition says that Ann, the mother of the Virgin Mary was of Cornish origin, [i.e. She was British]. It is not generally known but there is a family tree of Jesus from the time of Adam, in the Herald‚Äôs Office at the English College of Arms. From that document we glean the information that Ann, mother of the Virgin Mary, was married three times. Her first husband was Joachim by whom she had the Virgin Mary, her second husband was Cleophas and her third Salome. ‚Äď [See JOHN 19:25]. It would seem Ann liked the name ‚ÄúMary‚ÄĚ for in addition to the Virgin Mary she named the daughters by her two other husbands ‚ÄúMary‚Äô also.

Mary Salome, mother of disciples James and John [Zebedee] was also a second cousin to the Virgin Mary. Andrew and John were friends of the family through John the Baptist. The father of John the Baptist was Zacharias who was assassinated between the temple and the altar for proclaiming the virgin birth. Ann had a sister by the name of Bianca who was the mother of St. Joseph. Thus St Joseph, the Virgin Mary’s husband, was also her first cousin. That is an important fact in the development of this inquiry because it would indicate that Joseph of Arimathea was a uncle of both Mary and Joseph.

This view is confirmed in the HarL MSS. which is held in the British Museum. It will come as a surprise to many to realise that far from being confined to Palestine, the Holy Family seem, through the Virgin Mary’s uncle, Joseph of Arimathea, to have intermarried into British royalty and to have left Palestine to live in Britain. Some have assumed that the Virgin Mary’s exile in Britain was brought about by a forced exodus from the Holy Land but there is evidence that both Jesus and Joseph of Arimathea had planned for a life in Britain for the family from the time Jesus was quite young. It would seem that the forced exodus after the resurrection of Jesus was a preempting of an already carefully laid plan.

Confirmation that Penardin, grand-daughter of Joseph of Arimathea, married King Lear of Britain is to be found in a manuscript which is held at Jesus College, in England. From the chart below we can see the contemporary nature of events.

And Paul says in ROMANS 16:3, ‚ÄúSatute Rufus, chosen in the Lord‚ÄĚ and his mother and mine‚ÄĚ. If this is the same Rufus, then Paul and Rufus were half-brothers. Remember that Paul was a Roman citizen also, but not by race; Paul was of the tribe of Benjamin, even if he was a Roman by citizenship. The Roman connection of Paul is ignored by the traditional Churches, but we can see the importance. Going into this further, we find that the Apostle Paul was a half-brother of the Roman Rufus Pudens, and a brother-in-law of the British Princess Claudia. When the Apostle Paul presented the Gospel in Britain, he had friends in high places. There are many historical records that present Britain as being the first kingdom to receive the Gospel. Paul had other relatives in the ministry; some were apostles.
ROMANS 16:7¬†‚ÄúSalute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.‚ÄĚ
ROMANS 16:21¬†‚ÄúTimotheus my work fellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.‚ÄĚ
It is interesting to note that King Arthur and ALL the knights of the Round Table claimed descent from Joseph of Arimathea. The above genealogies are important because they give an altogether different perspective of the interrelationship of the nations at the time of Jesus. Then, as now, it would seem that the rich, influential and famous knew each other and had far more in common than we would at first think. Note the following British connections.
A grand-daughter of Joseph of Arimathea, cousin of the Virgin Mary, married a member of the BRITISH Royal Family.
A member of the BRITISH Royal Family married a Roman commander.
An Apostle of Jesus is entertained by a BRITISH Princess in Rome.
A member of the BRITISH Royal Family is the first Bishop of Rome ‚Äď [Not the first Pope].
This places the British in the centre of things. Israel in Britain starts with some of the tribe of Dan travelling there soon after the Exodus. We find the Prophet Jeremiah took the royal daughters of Zedekiah, the last Israelite king in Palestine, to Egypt and thence to Ireland [See JEREMIAH 41:10]. The Royal House of Judah thus continued in Britain. History throws a different perspective on the world at that time; a different perspective than we have been led to believe. History is HIS story.

Many people read John and his account of who Yehshua was and it goes right over their heads. The word was Yehovah and in verse 14 that Word, Yehovah became flesh. Yehshua said if you have seen me you have seen the Father. This is because they are one and the same person.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2  He was in the beginning with God. 3  All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. 4  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it. 6  There was a man sent from God; his name was John. 7  This one came as a witness, to bear witness concerning the Light, so that all might believe through him. 8  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9  He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world. 10  He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11  He came to His own, and His own received Him not. 12  But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name, 13  who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God. 14  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth. 15  John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, This was He of whom I spoke: He who comes after me has been before me, for He was preceding me. 16  And out of His fullness we all have received, and grace for grace. 17  For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

When we say the Shema what are we doing? Saying there is one God, not two and not three. Just one. You can read our article on this subject at this link.

Deu 6:4  Hear, O, Israel. Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.
Isa 43:11  I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior.

These are strong words and tough to get over after a lifetime of being told something else. Yehovah is the one we hung on the tree and killed and who rose from the dead three days and three nights later. Yehovah! It is where we get the name Yeh-Shua from. Yehovah Saves!!
Now let us read this birthday of Yehshua-Yehovah on the Feast of Trumpets from Matthew.

Mat 1:18¬†¬†Now the birth of Jesus Christ was this way (for His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph) before they came together, she was found to be with child by¬†the¬†Holy Spirit.¬†19¬†¬†But Joseph, her husband¬†to be, being just, and not willing to make her a public example, he purposed to put her away secretly.¬†20¬†¬†And as he thought upon these things, behold, the angel of¬†the¬†Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take to you Mary¬†as¬†your wife. For that in her is fathered of¬†the¬†Holy Spirit.¬†21¬†¬†And she shall bear a son, and you shall call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.¬†22¬†¬†Now all this happened so that might be fulfilled that¬†which was¬†spoken of the LORD by the prophet, saying,¬†23¬†¬†‚ÄúBehold, the virgin shall conceive in¬†her¬†womb, and will bear a son. And they will call His name Emmanuel,‚ÄĚ which being interpreted is, God with us.¬†24¬†¬†And Joseph, being roused from sleep, did as the angel of¬†the¬†Lord commanded him and took his wife, ¬†25¬†¬†and did not know her until she bore her son, the First-born. And he called His name JESUS.
Mat 2:1  Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem,

Who were these wise men that came from the east? They were from the mighty Parthian Empire. This Parthian Empire were the descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. They were Israelites. Not Jews, but Israelites, and they kept track of who the proper pedigrees were that could inherit the throne of David. This is why I showed you the family tree of Yehshua. It tied into the Royal Families of England.

You already have a great deal of reading to do on this subject of Messiah’s birth. But there is so much more to understand. When these Parthian Magi came over it almost caused a major war between them and Rome. I have written about it in this article. It starts about half way down the page. What the hey, I am going to re-post it here for you anyway.

This week I want to share with you a part of the book¬†Parthia¬†by Steven Collins. He is also a reader of this News Letter and I am so grateful he has allowed me to copy his article here for you to read about the birth of Yahshua. As Harvey Kirk used to say ‚ÄėNow You know the rest of the Story.‚Äô
The four book set that Steven Collins has written about the Lost tribes of Israel is an invaluable collection to have. If you do not know who Israel is in the end times then you will not and cannot know who the prophecies of the bible are talking about. It is impossible!

Each and every person must have these books which can be purchased at I do not make any money off these sales. I tell you to buy these books for your understanding of where Israel went and where they now are. When you know this then you will understand why the Roman Empire was attacking certain nations throughout history. It was the Beast Power attacking Israel. Just by knowing this you will then know who is going to attack whom in the very near future.
Also, Mr. Collins has some things in this article which I state differently in the article Conjunction or Sighted, which? which talks about the star at the birth of Yahshua and the year of his birth. Study both opinions and you decide. You can learn more from his site at

EXCERPT from the book, PARTHIA, by Steven M. Collins, Chapter 3, Pages 123-151

Much has been written about the life of Jesus Christ, the historical person whose name is attached to the many different denominations of Christianity that exist today. In fact, so much has been written that one might wonder whether anything truly new could be written about this one life. As the reader will see, new facts about the life of Jesus Christ can be ascertained by combining the accounts of the Bible with secular historical accounts and traditions about the time in which He lived. This chapter is not intended to be a complete history of the life of Jesus Christ. It will cover those aspects of His life and times which have not been generally known.

The prior chapter dealing with the Parthian Empire discussed historical events shaping the world into which Jesus Christ was born. When some surprising information about His life is added to the history contained in the previous chapter, it can be seen that Jesus Christ actually played a role in the great power politics which occurred between the empires of Parthia and Rome. The Bible hints that He could have played a much larger role in the political affairs of that era if He had chosen to do so.

Did Jesus Really Live?

There is no doubt that the person, Jesus Christ, actually lived in Palestine at the beginning of the first century A. D. While some skeptics doubt this fact, this chapter will begin by offering firm evidence that Jesus Christ was a real, historical person.

Josephus, a Jewish historian of the first century A. D., regarded the life of Jesus Christ as an established fact. In Antiquities of the Jews, Josephus wrote: ‚Äúthere was about this time, Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for He was a doer of wonderful works, ‚ÄĒ a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the Gentiles. He was Christ; and when Pilate [Pontius Pilate, Roman Procurator of Judea], at the suggestion of the principle men among us, had condemned him to the cross‚ĶHe appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him; and the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day.‚ÄĚ1

In this account, written shortly after Christ died, Josephus not only gave us a powerful witness that Jesus Christ truly lived, but also provided an independent corroboration of many of the biblically-discussed events of His life. Josephus refers to him as ‚Äúa wise man,‚ÄĚ and wonders whether He was more than a mere man because of the ‚Äúwonderful works‚ÄĚ He did. That a non-Christian, Jewish historian of the apostolic era writes of the miracles of Jesus as actual facts offers contemporary support to the Bible‚Äôs accounts about them. Josephus agrees with the testamental writings that Jesus was sentenced to be crucified by Pontius Pilate at the behest of the Jewish Sanhedrin, ‚Äúthe principle men among us.‚ÄĚ Josephus also acknowledged that Jesus Christ fulfilled many prophecies of the Hebrew prophets about the Messiah, and even refers to His resurrection as an historical fact!

Josephus‚Äô reference to Jesus as ‚Äúthe Christ‚ÄĚ acknowledges that Jesus was the Messiah, ‚Äúthe anointed.‚ÄĚ Since a non-Christian source so close to the actual time of Christ has confirmed these facts of His life, the musings of modern skeptics questioning Christ‚Äôs existence are without merit. Josephus could speak with eyewitnesses of Jesus‚Äô life; modern skeptics are almost two millennia removed from the events, and their writings are merely speculative. Jesus Christ did live, and the writings of Josephus substantiate the Bible‚Äôs claims of His performance of supernatural deeds as well as His being raised from the dead.

Roman secular sources agree with Josephus. Celsus, an anti-Christian writer of the Roman Empire in the second century A.D., wrote: ‚ÄúIt was by magic that He [Jesus] was able to do the miracles which He appeared to have done.‚ÄĚ2 Here a Roman opponent of Christianity grudgingly acknowledges the reality of Christ‚Äôs ‚Äúmiracles,‚ÄĚ which he labels as ‚Äúmagic.‚ÄĚ However, Quadratus, writing in approximately 117-134 A.D., ‚Äúurged people to believe in Jesus because the effect of His miracles continued up to the present ‚ÄĒ people had been cured and raised from the dead, and ‚Äėsome of them‚Ķhave survived even to our own day.‚Äô‚ÄĚ3 Tacitus, the famous Roman historian, writing about the Christians just decades after the death of Christ, stated:

‚ÄúNero fabricated scapegoats ‚ÄĒ and punished‚Ķthe notoriously depraved Christians (as they were popularly called). Their originator, Christ, had been executed in Tiberius‚Äô reign by the governor of Judea, Pontius Pilate.‚ÄĚ4

Tacitus‚Äô comment about Christ appears as a mere aside in an overall account of events in the reign of Nero. It is particularly compelling evidence that Jesus Christ really did live! Tacitus was no fan of Christ or Christianity, and he had no ‚Äúaxe to grind.‚ÄĚ His account that ‚ÄúChrist‚ÄĚ was a real person crucified by Pontius Pilate is highly credible as Tacitus refers to it as an official act of Pontius Pilate within His overall accounting of Rome‚Äôs activities.

Clearly, Roman accounts confirm that Jesus Christ lived, and that He was executed in Judea during the administration of Pontius Pilate. Even His detractors acknowledged that He performed supernatural deeds. Whatever your views about Jesus Christ, we begin with the fact that He, indeed, lived and died when the Bible states that He lived and died, that He performed marvelous deeds, and that He made a major impression on the civilization of His day.

Let us now review the historical setting into which Jesus Christ was born. The Roman and Parthian Empires were both powerful, well-established ‚Äúsuperpower‚ÄĚ rivals at the time Jesus was born. Rome ruled the Mediterranean region, and Parthia ruled Asian lands from modern Syria to the Indus River. Palestine was located within the Roman Empire, but was close to the Euphrates River constituting the Parthian border.
Five decades before the birth of Jesus, Rome and Parthia fought several battles with one being fought near Antioch of Syria (very close to Palestine).5 In about 40 B.C., the Parthians launched a major assault which drove the Romans out of Asia! For three years, 40-37 B.C., Palestine was within the Parthian Empire and was ruled by a Jewish vassal king of the Parthians named Antigonus. At that time King Herod, the Roman king of Judea, fled from the Parthians in fear of his life. While the Parthian-sponsored rule of Antigonus was brief, it was apparently popular with the Jews. When the Parthians withdrew across the Euphrates, Antigonus, with Jewish support, attempted to maintain himself as king of the Jews, but was defeated by Herod. Mark Antony, the Roman leader famous for his dalliance with Cleopatra, ordered Antigonus beheaded, and Josephus records that this was done to compel the Jews to accept the hated Herod as their king.6 Mark Antony afterward led a massive invasion of Parthia in 37-36 B.C., but his army was utterly defeated by the Parthians.7

To help modern readers gain a frame of reference for these ancient events, these Roman-Parthian wars were more recent events for the people at the time Jesus was born than World War II and the Korean War are to modern readers. Parthian rule over Palestine was, therefore, vividly remembered by many in Jewish society as being preferable to Roman rule.

Parthia’s victory over Mark Antony led to a long period of peace between Rome and Parthia, with the Euphrates River serving as the border between their two vast empires. This prolonged period of peaceful relations lasted from 36 B.C. until 58 A.D.,8 including not only all of Jesus Christ’s life, but also the early period of the Apostolic Church as well. Rawlinson records that it was an established Roman policy not to provoke a Parthian war during that period of time so long as both empires agreed to coexist on separate banks of the Euphrates River. Rawlinson comments on this peaceful interlude as follows:

‚ÄúIt is a well-known fact that Augustus left it as a principle of policy to his successors that the Roman Empire had reached its proper limits, and could not with advantage be extended further. This principle, followed with the utmost strictness by Tiberius, was accepted as a rule by all the earlier Caesars‚Ķ‚ÄĚ9

As long as the Caesars wanted peace with Parthia, Roman officials along Parthia’s border, such as King Herod and Pontius Pilate, knew they risked their positions and lives if they entangled Rome in an unwanted war with Parthia.

Without this period of Parthian-Roman detente, it would have been impossible for some of the events of Jesus Christ‚Äôs life to have occurred, as we shall see. The first such event was the coming of the Magi, or ‚ÄúWise Men‚ÄĚ to pay homage to Jesus. We read of this event in Matthew 2:1-12, which becomes more important when considered in the overall context of Roman-Parthian relations.

Parthia’s Magi Visit Jesus (and Frighten Jerusalem)

As discussed in the previous chapter, the Magi were powerful members of the Parthian bicameral body that elected Parthian monarchs and wielded great influence within the empire. One assembly was composed of members of the royal family (the Arsacids), and the other consisted of the priests (the ‚ÄúMagi‚ÄĚ) and influential Parthians of non-royal blood (the ‚ÄúWise Men‚ÄĚ). The Magi and Wise Men were jointly known as the Megistanes.10

Matthew 2:1 states that ‚Äúwise men from the east‚ÄĚ came to worship Jesus. The term ‚ÄúWise Men,‚ÄĚ which appears in Matthew 2:1, is not a generic description of these visitors, but was the proper title of Parthian Megistanes. The Greek word translated ‚Äúwise men‚ÄĚ is ‚Äúmagian,‚ÄĚ literally meaning ‚ÄúPersian astronomer or priest,‚ÄĚ11 from which we derive the word ‚ÄúMagi.‚ÄĚ Parthia governed Persia at the time of Christ, so the ‚ÄúWise Men‚ÄĚ cited in the Bible were Parthian nobles and/or priests. While traditional Christian accounts of this episode celebrate the coming of ‚Äúthe three wise men,‚ÄĚ the Bible does not limit the number of visiting Magi-Wise Men to three men. Indeed, biblical events and the realities of that time argue for a much larger contingent of Parthian Magi.

Since we saw in previous chapters that the Parthians were descended from the ten tribes of Israel and that their priests were likely descended from the tribe of Levi, it is likely that this delegation of Magi consisted of leading members of the ten tribes of Israel. Because there were numerous Jews of the tribe of Judah in Parthia’s empire, they may have been represented as well. Consequently, the delegation of Magi could easily have consisted of at least ten or twelve men representing the various tribes of Israel.

Also, the Bible confirms that the Magi did not visit the young Jesus in the manger at Bethlehem, as most nativity scenes depict, but rather visited Jesus in a house somewhat after His birth. Matthew 2:11 states that this visit of the Magi took place in a house (not at the manger) when Jesus was old enough to be called ‚Äúa young child.‚ÄĚ Luke‚Äôs version of Christ‚Äôs birth (Luke 2:8-40) mentions the shepherds‚Äô arrival at the manger, but makes no mention of any Magi visiting Christ while He was ‚Äúin the manger.‚ÄĚ

Matthew 2:8 adds that Herod sent the Magi ‚Äúto Bethlehem‚ÄĚ after conferring with the Jewish hierarchy about the prophesied location of the Messiah‚Äôs birth. They cited Micah 5:2 that the Messiah would originate in Bethlehem, and they were likely familiar with Daniel 9:25-26 which predicted that the arrival of the Messiah was due at that time. Herod privately met with the Parthian delegation, and enquired when ‚Äúthe star‚ÄĚ which they followed had first appeared. He apparently learned that this period of time was almost two years because he killed all male children in Bethlehem under two years of age in an attempt to kill the Messiah, whom he regarded as a competitor for his position as king of the Jews.
Although the Bible tells us that ‚Äúthe star‚ÄĚ appeared to the Wise Men almost two years prior to His birth, this offers inexact information in determining how old Jesus was when the Wise Men came to him. The Wise Men were prominent people in Parthia when ‚Äúthe star‚ÄĚ appeared, and they had to make a very time-consuming journey to reach Judea. It took time to prepare the costly gifts to present to the Messiah, set their affairs in order for a long absence, organize and equip a caravan, obtain an armed escort for protection and make the slow, lengthy journey to Judea in a caravan of pack animals. Since the ‚Äústar‚Äôs‚ÄĚ appearance was not necessarily timed to coincide exactly with the time Jesus was born, He may have been a few months (or up to two years) old at the time of the Magi‚Äôs arrival.
Consider also that Matthew 2:1-3 states:

‚ÄúNow when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem. Saying, where is He that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.‚ÄĚ (KJV)

The arrival of the Magi‚Äôs caravan in Jerusalem was a very public affair because ‚Äúall Jerusalem‚ÄĚ was ‚Äútroubled‚ÄĚ by their arrival. What was it about the Magi‚Äôs caravan that scared the Roman leaders and the whole city of Jerusalem? The Magi, a delegation of high Parthian officials, came to Jerusalem in a caravan loaded with costly treasures and escorted by a strong force of armed Parthian soldiers! Since the Magi were high officials of the Parthian government, they would routinely travel with a substantial escort of Parthian soldiers to guarantee their protection. Since they were traveling with many costly treasures to present to the newborn Messiah, their escort may have been unusually large.
The Magi’s caravan would have included large numbers of servants, animal-handlers, cooks, etc. for such a long journey. These people alone would have constituted many hundreds of people! Given the fact that many high Parthian officials and very expensive treasures were in the caravan, there may have been many thousands of Parthian soldiers escorting the caravan! This is not an overstatement.
Josephus records that treasure caravans bringing expensive offerings to Jerusalem from Jews living in Parthian territory did so with ‚Äúmany ten thousand men‚ÄĚ as escorts.12¬† In ancient times, traveling with expensive items was dangerous. There was danger not only from brigands, but also from local satraps who might use their armies to conquer a treasure train passing through their territories. If Jewish commoners from Parthia were allowed to travel to Jerusalem with the equivalent of several infantry divisions as escorts, would an important delegation of Parthia‚Äôs ruling class and a treasure train of gifts have been accompanied by any fewer armed escorts? If the Parthian column had included ‚Äúmany ten thousands‚ÄĚ of soldiers, it would have justified the widespread fear in Jerusalem caused by their arrival. In the previous chapter, we learned that ancient Chinese historical accounts recorded that the Parthians sent 20,000 cavalry just to escort a Chinese ambassador into Parthian territory.
Plutarch records that Surenas ‚ÄĒ a Parthian military commander and, no doubt, a member of the Megistanes ‚ÄĒ traveled on routine business in a caravan of cavalry, servants, and attendants the size of ‚Äúa baggage train of 1,000 camels‚Ķat least ten thousand men.‚ÄĚ13 If one Parthian leader traveled with so large a caravan on routine business within Parthia, how large was the caravan of the Magi ‚ÄĒ a whole delegation of Parthian nobles carrying great treasures to worship a ‚Äúnew-born king?‚ÄĚ It was large enough to frighten the whole city of Jerusalem!
The Wise Men coming to Jesus were not bringing just a few samples of gold and other precious things that they carried in their personal saddlebags. They were coming to worship a royal-born child, so they likely had a whole train of pack animals loaded with ‚Äúgold, frankincense and myrrh!‚ÄĚ

Their caravan was so huge that it was a ‚Äúcause celebre‚ÄĚ in Jerusalem. The whole city was in an uproar over their arrival, and that argues for a very visible and impressive Parthian caravan arriving in Jerusalem. The sheer size of the caravan, its treasures and its escorts awed King Herod and the whole city to the point they were all ‚Äútroubled.‚ÄĚ This indicates that the Parthian caravan had so many armed escorts that many feared it was an invasion force coming to besiege Jerusalem and start a new Roman-Parthian war. However, their reason ‚ÄĒ coming to visit a royal-born Messiah ‚ÄĒ could have electrified a city of Jews who intensely wanted the Messiah to come and free them from Roman rule! The Jewish hierarchy understood the Parthians were looking for the Messiah as they quickly looked for Messianic prophecies to locate the city of His birth.

After their consultations with Herod and high Jewish officials, the Parthian delegation traveled to Bethlehem to worship Jesus and present their gifts to him. By this time, Matthew 2:11 states Jesus and Mary were living in ‚Äúa house,‚ÄĚ so they were no longer staying at the manger. The Magi‚Äôs journey to Bethlehem would have been closely followed by Herod‚Äôs spies.

Joseph was then warned by an angel to flee quickly into Egypt (Matthew 2:13) to avoid Herod’s impending slaughter of Bethlehem’s young male children. Since Herod’s edict applied only to Bethlehem, there would have been no need for Joseph, Mary and Jesus to flee unless they were still in Bethlehem. Since Joseph and Mary actually lived in Galilee (Luke 2:4), the fact that they were in a house in Bethlehem indicates that this must have been weeks after Jesus’ birth while Mary was regaining the strength to make an overland trip back to Nazareth. Their flight to Egypt took them completely out of Herod’s area of jurisdiction.

Herod made the mistake of assuming the Messiah would be born to a family native to the Bethlehem area. Since Luke 2:39 states that Joseph, Mary and Jesus returned to Galilee not long after Jesus was born, it seems apparent that the stay of Joseph, Mary and Jesus in Egypt was very brief. Historical sources disagree on the year of King Herod’s death, but there is persuasive evidence that Herod died soon after giving his cruel order to murder the boy babies of Bethlehem. Matthew 2:14-19 states that Jesus and His parents returned from Egypt as soon as Herod was dead, and the account implies their stay in Egypt was brief.

This author acknowledges that there are differing scholarly and historical viewpoints concerning the year of Jesus Christ‚Äôs birth. While many people assume that Jesus Christ was born in a theoretical ‚Äúyear zero,‚ÄĚ scholarly options for the year of Jesus‚Äô birth focus on the time frame of 5 B.C. to 2 B.C.

It is significant that Jesus’ parents were faithful to God’s law requiring circumcision on the eight day (Leviticus 12:2-3), and to Jewish custom by making an offering to God at the Temple in Jerusalem to consecrate their firstborn male child. (Luke 2:21-24) This is an important observation as it shows Jesus was raised by a Jewish family that devoutly obeyed God’s laws.

When the Parthian column arrived at Jerusalem, the Parthian Magi came directly to King Herod, quite open about their reasons for being in Roman-occupied Palestine. They informed Herod that they had come to worship ‚ÄúHe that is born king of the Jews.‚ÄĚ
It is a tribute to the power of Caesar‚Äôs policy that the Roman-Parthian peace be maintained that war did not result from this statement, for Herod could easily have taken it as an insult. He could have flown into a rage, and yelled ‚ÄúHow dare you ask to see another ‚Äėking of the Jews‚Äô besides me; I am king of the Jews!‚ÄĚ That Herod swallowed his gargantuan pride, and meekly answered the Parthians is quite noteworthy. This is a tribute not only to Caesar‚Äôs policy to maintain the peace, but also to recognition that a sizeable Parthian army had come to Jerusalem as escorts of the Magi. Herod‚Äôs meek response to the highly provocative question of the Parthian officials does imply that he was intimidated by the many Parthian soldiers who accompanied the Magi.

Because the whole city was ‚Äútroubled‚ÄĚ by the Parthians‚Äô arrival, the presence of so many Parthian soldiers surely sparked rumors in Jerusalem that a new Parthian-Roman war was imminent. Herod may even have suspected that the Parthians‚Äô question was designed to provoke an incident, which would lead to an outbreak of hostilities and his removal from the throne. Herod and all Jerusalem was surprised, but relieved to learn that the Parthian Magi and soldiers had arrived with peaceful intent. Herod may have been expecting to hear an ultimatum for the surrender of Jerusalem to Parthia when the Magi were ushered into his presence.

Some observations must be made about the ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ which led the Magi to Jesus. Some have proposed that this star was a comet or a celestial phenomenon although the biblical accounts indicate that this was not the case. The biblically-described ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ moved, leading the Magi over a long east-to-west route from Parthia to Judea, and Matthew 2:9 states that it finally ‚Äústood over where the young child was.‚ÄĚ Simple logic confirms that no comet or celestial phenomenon in the sky could possibly pinpoint a single city, much less ‚Äústand over‚ÄĚ an individual child on the earth‚Äôs surface! Nevertheless, that is what the biblical ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ did.

The Bible periodically uses the word ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ to represent angels (Job 38:7, Revelation 1:20), and there is good reason to believe that the ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ which led the Parthian nobles to a specific child in a specific house in Judea was an angel of God. Nothing else makes sense. Only an angel, a spirit being, could literally ‚Äústand over‚ÄĚ the baby Jesus to designate one specific child to the Parthian nobles.

Also, nothing in the biblical account indicates that this ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ was visible to anyone other than the Magi-Wise Men! Matthew 2:2 states that the Magi saw ‚Äúthe star,‚ÄĚ but the context argues no one else ever saw it. Verse 7 relates that Herod asked the Magi when ‚Äúthe star‚ÄĚ appeared to them, indicating no one in Judea was aware of any such ‚Äústar.‚ÄĚ If a striking celestial object had appeared in the sky, Herod and his astrologers would already have known the exact date and hour on which it had appeared.

After leading the Parthians to Judea, the ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ disappeared, forcing the Parthians to ask Herod for directions. After the Magi left Herod, the ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ again appeared to them, led them directly to Bethlehem (Luke 2:9), and finally ‚Äústood over‚ÄĚ one specific child, Jesus. Verse 10 states the Magi rejoiced that the ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ had again appeared to show them where to go! Obviously, a ‚Äústar‚ÄĚ which appeared, disappeared and reappeared for the Magi (but which was apparently not seen by any other humans) had to be an angel. Supporting this fact is that Luke 2:8-15 records that the birth of Jesus was announced to shepherds by angels speaking to them out of a heavenly light which accompanied their appearance. God also used an angel to warn Joseph to flee to Egypt. Since God used angels to direct the movements of persons in the events surrounding Christ‚Äôs birth, it would have been completely consistent for God to also send an angel to guide the Magi‚Äôs movements.

Having found Jesus, the Magi worshipped him, offering costly gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense. They were then warned by God in a dream (Matthew 2:12) not to return to Herod, resulting in the prompt exit of the Magi and their many escorts from Judea. When Herod realized that he had been fooled, he wrathfully killed all the young male children of Bethlehem in a vain effort to kill the Messiah. However, there is no indication that Herod made any attempt to overtake or punish the Magi. As high Parthian nobles, they had ‚Äúdiplomatic immunity,‚ÄĚ and Herod dared not anger Caesar by provoking the Parthians. Also, Herod‚Äôs garrison troops could have been vastly outnumbered by the size of the Magi‚Äôs military escorts.

There is another important aspect of this remarkable episode. While it is not surprising that Jewish leaders during Herod‚Äôs reign were sufficiently familiar with the prophetic writings to pinpoint for Herod exactly where the Messiah would be born, it is surprising that God was working so closely with members of the Parthian ruling class! This makes no biblical sense unless: (A) the Parthians were descended from the ten tribes of Israel and (B) the Magi (Parthian priests) included some Levites. During His ministry Jesus Christ asserted that He had not been sent to the gentiles, but only to the ‚Äúlost sheep of the house of Israel.‚ÄĚ Matthew 15:24-28 shows the reluctance of Jesus to assist a gentile.

Throughout the Old Testament God worked almost exclusively with the House of Israel and the House of Judah. It was not until after the death of Christ that gentiles were given equal access to the God of Israel. The fact that God was working intimately with the Parthian nobility ‚ÄĒ sending them angelic messages, giving them divine messages in dreams ‚ÄĒ confirms that the Parthians had to be descended from the ten tribes of Israel which had migrated into Asia.

The fact that some of the Parthian ruling classes were apparently worshippers of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is most revealing. God obviously considered these Parthians to be ‚Äúrighteous‚ÄĚ men under the terms of His laws or He would not have been dealing with them so personally. That educated Parthians were ready to visit and worship the Messiah at the time of Christ‚Äôs birth indicates they were also familiar with the prophecies of the Old Testament. Who but transplanted Israelites would have been looking for the Messiah at that time?

Although we are jumping ahead in the narrative, consider the events of Acts 2:9 which states Parthians were among those who made pilgrimages to Jerusalem for the Feast of Weeks, known to Christians as Pentecost Sunday. Verse 9 also mentions ‚ÄúMedes, Elamites, and dwellers in Mesopotamia‚ÄĚ as being present at this feast, and all these regions were provinces of the Parthian Empire. We know that portions of the ten tribes had been relocated to ‚Äúthe cities of the Medes,‚ÄĚ so the presence of devout visitors from Media most likely designates people from the ten tribes of Israel who still lived in Media. Interestingly, verse 9 also mentions ‚Äúdwellers‚Ķin Asia‚ÄĚ were present. The word ‚ÄúAsia‚ÄĚ has clouded origins, but the Encyclopedia Britannica states, ‚ÄúIt is probable that it [‚ÄúAsia‚ÄĚ] has an Assyrian or Hebrew root, and was used first‚Ķwith a specific or restricted local application, a more extended signification having eventually been given it‚Ķ‚ÄĚ14

As briefly mentioned in chapter two, one of the Scythian tribes was called the ‚ÄúAsii‚ÄĚ (or ‚ÄúAsiani‚ÄĚ).15 Since the ‚ÄúAsiani‚ÄĚ were one of the Scythian tribes bearing the name of Isaac, the Sacae or Saka, the Bible‚Äôs reference to ‚ÄúAsians‚ÄĚ attending the Feast of Weeks could indicate that Scythians were also present in Jerusalem at that time. This further indicates that the Parthians and Scythians were the displaced members of the ‚Äúlost ten tribes of Israel.‚ÄĚ The non-Israelite populations of Asia had no cultural interest in the worship of the God of Israel; only the ten tribes of Israel would retain such a custom.

It was not unusual for large pilgrimages originating in Parthia to travel to Jerusalem to worship the God of Israel. Josephus‚Äô statement that caravans from Parthia arrived in Jerusalem under the protection of ‚Äúmany ten thousand men‚ÄĚ16 was noted earlier. These must have been magnificent treasure trains to have warranted the protection of a sizeable army. Such huge protection of a sizeable army. Such huge ‚Äúofferings‚ÄĚ going to Jerusalem from Parthia indicates that significant numbers of people within the Parthian Empire worshipped the God of Israel. This meant that, at the time of Jesus and Herod, there was a great deal of travel and trade between the Parthian Empire and the Roman province of Judea. It also shows that there was a strong sense of community between Judea and many regions of the Parthian Empire. If a caravan of Parthian commoners could be escorted by ‚Äúmany ten thousand men,‚ÄĚ how many escorts would accompany a caravan of Parthia‚Äôs nobility?
The Parthian nobility did not ‚Äútravel light.‚ÄĚ Plutarch records that Surenas, a high Parthian noble, had an entourage of ten thousand men when he traveled ‚Äúon his own affairs‚ÄĚ on routine business. Just one Parthian noble was accompanied by such a huge and imposing caravan when he traveled on routine business! Think how much larger would have been the caravan of a group of perhaps ten or twelve Parthian nobles, the Magi, travelling, not on routine business within Parthia, but through dangerous terrain with rich treasures and into Roman territory! Parthians believed in large numbers of armed escorts for VIPs. When an ambassador came to Parthia from China, an escort of 20,000 armed Parthian cavalrymen greeted him!18

Now you can understand why the whole city of Jerusalem was frightened when the Parthian Magi arrived to look for the young child of royal birth. They were accompanied by a gigantic caravan from Parthia moving toward Jerusalem. This column was escorted by many thousands of Parthia’s military cavalry. Many in Jerusalem feared the Parthians had come to start a war and besiege the city.

The Royal Lineages of Jesus Christ

In an earlier chapter it was shown that the Magi were loyal to one dynasty, the Arsacids, whose members continuously ruled Parthia. It was shown that many rulers of Parthian and Saka kingdoms had names incorporating the word ‚ÄúPhares‚ÄĚ (PH-R-S). This indicates that the Arsacids were descended from the seed of David, who was the first king of the Phares family. (Matthew 1:2-6) The kings of Judah of the Phares dynasty are listed in I Chronicles 3:9-17, but verses 18-24 reveals that the royal lineage continued to flourish after Judah‚Äôs captivity. Indeed, David‚Äôs dynasty was given high status in the Babylonian Empire. (II Kings 25:27-30) This post-exilic elevation of the Davidic dynasty in Asia likely led to their serving as vassal kings over captive Israelites under Babylonian and Persian masters. Their later elevation to the throne of Parthia fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah 33:17 that David‚Äôs descendants would always rule over the descendants of the ten tribes of Israel. This may explain the unshakable loyalty of the Parthians to the Arsacids. With the Parthians being Israelites, and the Arsacids being descended from King David, the Arsacids were the only dynasty in Asia that was racially, historically and culturally related to the Parthian people.

Since Matthew 1:3-17 tells us that Jesus Christ was a descendant of Phares and King David, Jesus was a distant relative of the Parthian ruling dynasty, which also descended from Phares and David. The bloodline relationship of Jesus to the Parthian Arsacids serves as a further explanation for the homage paid to Jesus by the Parthian nobility. It was customary for the Parthian Magi and Wise Men to keep track of male Arsacids in foreign nations. In some cases they sent to foreign nations, Scythia and Rome, to summon male relatives of the Arsacids to come to Parthia to serve as king. As mentioned in the previous chapter, some Parthian rulers killed every male relative they could find in an effort to eliminate potential rivals to their throne. This compelled the Magi to look for distant individuals who had the same bloodline as the Arsacids, the lineage of Phares and King David. At the time of the birth of Jesus, the recent Parthian emperor, Phraates IV, who reigned 37-2 B.C., had killed many male relatives, including his own father and almost thirty brothers.19 Male Arsacids at the time of Jesus’ birth were in very short supply.
When the Magi were led by God to pay homage to the young Jesus, they doubtless learned that Joseph, Mary and Jesus were all related to the Parthian dynasty! Indeed, they may already have known that Jesus was an Arsacid, related to Parthia‚Äôs kings. When the Magi came to Herod, they said:¬† ‚ÄúWhere is He that is born king of the Jews?‚ÄĚ (Matthew 2:2, KJV)

This statement confirms that the Magi arriving in Jerusalem already knew that Jesus was ‚Äúroyal-born,‚ÄĚ and it implies that they knew He was related to Parthia‚Äôs kings. If they did not know that fact prior to their arrival, they learned it during their visit with Joseph, Mary and the young Jesus. Indeed, because Phraates IV, the emperor of Parthia, had killed so many of his male relatives, the Magi were surely to find surviving males of the Davidic bloodline.

Consider some important information. When the Babylonians conquered Judah, they brought King Jehoiachin of Judah and many of his royal family to Babylon. (II Kings 24:15) After languishing in prison for years, King Jehoiachin was exalted into the position of a favored vassal king in the Babylonian empire. I Chronicles 3:17 reveals that Jeconiah had many sons and grandsons, who very likely also became vassal kings in Asia after Jehoichin died. One of Jeconiah‚Äôs sons was ‚ÄúSalathiel‚ÄĚ (I Chronicles 3:17), who lived in Asia, not Judea. Salathiel, later spelled ‚ÄúShealtiel,‚ÄĚ20 was the father of Zerubbabel. (Ezra 3:2) Matthew 1:12 and Luke 3:27 confirm this as well.

Zerubbabel‚Äôs name includes the root word ‚Äúbabel,‚ÄĚ indicating he was born in Babylon. Zerubbabel was one of the leaders of the group of Jews who left Asia and returned to Jerusalem during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah under the auspices of Persian kings. Zerubbabel had a prominent role in the rebuilding of a Jewish presence in Jerusalem and Judea, and he is mentioned frequently in the books of Ezra and Haggai and once in the book of Nehemiah. Joseph, the human ‚Äúfather‚ÄĚ of Jesus Christ was a descendant of Zerubbabel. (Matthew 1:12-16) So Jesus Christ was born into a very prominent and famous family in Judea, one known to be descended from the Kings of Judah. Since His royal progenitors formerly lived in Asia and had included vassal kings of the Babylonians, the Parthian Magi may have been very well aware that they were coming to visit a family of Arsacids! Babylon was then ruled by Parthia, so its records were available to the Magi. Because Phraates IV had killed so many males of the royal Parthian dynasty at that time, the Magi were compelled to look outside Parthia‚Äôs borders for male Arsacids who were eligible for the throne of Parthia.

Now consider this: Because Jesus was eligible for the throne of Parthia, so was His human father ‚ÄúJoseph.‚ÄĚ Christian mythology tends to personify Joseph as an obscure, poor ‚Äúcarpenter‚ÄĚ struggling ‚Äúto make ends meet.‚ÄĚ But the possibility exists that he was, in fact, well-to-do. The account in Mark 6:3, for instance, indicates that Jesus himself was a ‚Äúcarpenter,‚ÄĚ but in that day someone in the building trades business was often more of a ‚Äúbuilding contractor,‚ÄĚ involving all aspects of construction. This could possibly have been a very responsible position.

The concept of Joseph and Mary being ‚Äúpoor‚ÄĚ partly comes from the ‚Äúmanger scene‚ÄĚ of them staying in a lowly manger when Jesus was born. However, they did not stay there for lack of financial resources. When they arrived in Jerusalem, they tried to stay in a lodging house, but everything was ‚Äúbooked solid‚ÄĚ in the city. (Luke 2:7) As soon as the crowds thinned out, they promptly relocated to a rented ‚Äúhouse‚ÄĚ in Jerusalem. (Matthew 2:11) Also, it takes financial resources to travel. When God warned Joseph to flee to Egypt quickly, he obviously had the financial resources on hand to afford a hastily arranged, indefinite stay in a foreign nation. (Matthew 2:13-15) Either Joseph was not a ‚Äúpoor carpenter,‚ÄĚ or these funds came from the gifts of the Magi at Jesus‚Äô birth.

Jesus was descended from the kings of Judah through both His father and mother! While Matthew 1 gives Joseph’s descent from Judah’s dynastic line, Luke 3:23-33 gives Mary’s descent from king David. Both Joseph and Mary were direct descendants of King David, the kings of Judah, related to the Davidic kings in Asia and had Salathiel and Zerubbabel as common ancestors. However, Joseph and Mary’s immediate ancestors were descended from two different sons of Zerubbabel. (Matthew 1:13-16, Luke 3:23-27) Some confusion exists on this point, as it is easy to not grasp that Luke 3’s account gives Mary’s lineage. Henry Halley explains this point as follows:

‚ÄúThe commonly accepted view is that Matthew gives Joseph‚Äôs line, showing Jesus to be the Legal Heir to the Promises given Abraham and David; and that Luke gives Mary‚Äôs line, showing Jesus‚Äô blood descent, ‚ÄėSon of David according to the flesh‚Äô (Romans 1:3). Mary‚Äôs genealogy, in accord with Jewish usage, was in her husband‚Äôs name. Joseph was the ‚Äėson of Heli‚Äô (Luke 3:23), that is, ‚Äėson-in-law‚Äô of Heli. Jacob was Joseph‚Äôs father (Matthew 1:16).‚ÄĚ21

Jesus was a ‚Äúblue-blooded‚ÄĚ son of parents descended from royalty. This remarkable relationship meant both Joseph and Jesus were distant relatives of Parthia‚Äôs kings. Because Parthia could offer the kingship to any relative of the Parthian king line, not just the oldest son or closest relative of the previous king, both Joseph and Jesus Christ were potential claimants to the throne of the Parthian Empire! While the Bible does record Jesus‚Äô royal lineage of the seed of David, it does not specifically mention His relationship to Parthia‚Äôs dynasty. However, as we shall see later in this chapter, the Bible implies that this relationship existed.

Since the Magi who worshipped Jesus were members of the body which selected the kings of Parthia and kept track of male Arsacids, they must been ecstatic to find living descendants of King David. The Magi no doubt discussed the possibility that this child Jesus, born under such unusual circumstances, might one day take the throne of Parthia. While the Bible is silent on their future contacts, this delegation of Parthian Magi likely would have stayed in contact with Jesus in future years and monitored the events of His life. If the Parthians had a Messianic understanding, Jesus would have been seen as an acceptable ruler because He was a son of David.

Did the Magi Almost Cause a Roman-Parthian War?

Let us consider that the visit of the Magi to Jesus may have been a factor in a political crisis that almost led to a new Roman-Parthian war. Recall that from 40-37 B.C., Parthia had ruled Palestine and Syria before the Romans drove them back across the Euphrates River. That war ushered in a long period of Parthian-Roman d√©tente which included the entire lifetime of Jesus Christ. However, a great Parthian-Roman war was barely averted in 1 A.D. when a ‚Äúsummit conference‚ÄĚ was held between the Parthian emperor, Phraataces, and Caius Caesar, the grandson of Augustus Caesar on an island in the Euphrates River (i.e. neutral territory). Roman sources recorded that:

‚ÄúThe armies of the two chiefs were drawn up on the opposite banks of the river [the Euphrates], facing one another; and the chiefs themselves, accompanied by an equal number of attendants, proceeded to deliberate in the sight of both hosts.‚ÄĚ

This ‚Äúsummit conference‚ÄĚ averted war, but how could the Magi‚Äôs visit have had a role in this crisis?

The Bible’s account of the Magi visiting Jesus ceases when the Magi left Judea and returned to Parthia, leaving the impression that the issue was concluded. However, if we consider the geopolitical realities of that time, there is no way that the Magi’s exit from Judea ended the matter.
Matthew 2:3 records that Herod and ‚Äúall Jerusalem‚ÄĚ were troubled by the arrival of the Magi. Jerusalem was a commercial city at the nexus of major trade routes, and it commonly received caravans of thousands of people. Three tired Magi arriving from the east would not have made a ripple in the city‚Äôs calm. For that matter, caravans from Parthian territory could arrive in Jerusalem with many thousands of armed escorts, and such events did not trouble the city. However, the arrival of Parthian Magi ‚ÄĒ Parthia‚Äôs nobles and priests ‚ÄĒ in Jerusalem escorted by a large army of Parthian soldiers was unprecedented and unrepeated in the history of the city of Jerusalem. This occurred at a time when Parthia and Rome had a peace treaty, and no major Roman or Parthian military forces had crossed the Euphrates River in over three decades. The arrival of a large Parthian military force in Jerusalem escorting high Parthian officials was militarily provocative and could justifiably be seen by King Herod and the Romans as a treaty violation.

When Parthia had occupied Palestine, it had crowned its own vassal king, Antigonus, as ruler of Judea. When the Magi, Parthia‚Äôs official king-makers, came to Jerusalem looking for ‚Äúa new king of the Jews,‚ÄĚ it must have sounded to Herod and the Romans that the Parthians were trying to reassert their claim to Judea and dethrone Herod. Their speaking directly to Herod, who was Rome‚Äôs ‚Äúking of the Jews,‚ÄĚ about wanting to find a ‚Äúnew king of the Jews‚ÄĚ could be seen by the Romans as very close to a declaration of war, given the region‚Äôs history. The fact that King Herod ‚Äúbit his tongue‚ÄĚ and made no rash statement to the Magi and treated them with deference argues that the Parthians must have had an intimidating number of troops at Jerusalem to compel Herod to be so uncharacteristically meek. Since a major Roman-Parthian treaty had been in effect for over three decades, Rome felt unthreatened in the region, and would, consequently, have had only a small garrison in Jerusalem.

Caesar‚Äôs decree that no Parthian war be provoked also put Herod in an awkward position. While the Magi and Parthians were in Judea with no harmful intent, there is no way the Romans could be sure this ‚Äúvisit‚ÄĚ was benign in nature. After the Parthians left, Herod ‚Äúblew his stack‚ÄĚ (Matthew 2:16) and vented his pent-up rage by murdering all male children in Bethlehem under age two. Official reports surely had to be filed with Augustus Caesar in Rome about this highly unusual event.

Herod was justifiably fearful of Parthian intentions in the area. Hadn‚Äôt they come to anoint a replacement for him as ‚Äúking of the Jews?‚ÄĚ Hadn‚Äôt they also deceived him by leaving the area without his knowledge? Herod‚Äôs murderous act in Bethlehem would also have inflamed Jewish residents, and rumors of revolt against the hated Romans would have intensified. Faced with a possible Parthian invasion and/or a Jewish revolt, Herod needed more Roman soldiers in the region. In his reports to Caesar, Herod surely cast himself in a favorable light, warning Caesar that the Parthians had crossed the Euphrates, made a military reconnaissance to Jerusalem to spy out the city‚Äôs weakness and were openly talking about crowning a ‚Äúnew king of the Jews.‚ÄĚ Because the Parthians‚Äô arrival in Jerusalem had scared the whole city, news of this extraordinary event would have spread quickly along the trade routes. Roman honor had been slighted, and Rome usually responded to such an insult.

However, the Romans could not respond immediately. Rome had been sapped by the costly civil wars between Brutus and Octavian and also Octavian against Mark Antony and Cleopatra. These wars were fought in the eastern half of the Roman Empire, so Rome‚Äôs military forces in the east had been depleted and disorganized. Augustus Caesar could not be entirely sure whom to trust with an army, lest another civil war break out in the east. Herod the Great was a firm ally of Augustus, but Herod was soon to die, leaving Augustus with no close ally in the East to whom he could entrust an army. Also, Rome and Parthia were facing a possible conflict in Armenia over succession to the throne of Armenia. In both Armenia and Judea, the issue was whether Rome or Parthia would choose the kings of those nations. Also, Rome had to finance, train and equip an army to fight the Parthians. Rome‚Äôs armies under Crassus and Mark Antony had been ‚Äúclobbered‚ÄĚ by the Parthians, so Rome would need extra time to assemble an army to challenge Parthia. Rome‚Äôs leadership crisis is described by George Rawlinson as follows:

‚ÄúAugustus [formerly ‚ÄúOctavian‚ÄĚ], from the time that he heard of the Armenian troubles, and of the support given them by Parthia, seems never to have wavered in his determination to vindicate the claims of Rome‚Ķ[but] hesitated as to the person whose services he should employ‚ĶHe would have been glad to employ Tiberius; but that morose prince had deserted him and‚Ķwas living in self-chosen retirement. Caius, the eldest of his grandsons, was, in B.C. 2, only 18 years of age‚Ķthe extreme youth of the prince caused him to hesitate‚Ķand the consequence was that Caius did not start for the East until late in B.C. 1.‚ÄĚ23

In other words, Rome‚Äôs political situation compelled a delay in responding to Parthia‚Äôs real provocation in Judea and apparent provocation in Armenia. The situation was further muddled by the death of Phraates IV, Parthia‚Äôs emperor when the Magi visited Jerusalem.24 Since Phraates IV and Herod the Great had died by the time Rome‚Äôs army was ready, all the major principals had a fresh viewpoint by the time Rome and Parthia had their ‚Äúsummit conference‚ÄĚ at the Euphrates River in 1 A.D.

Although historical accounts mention only the Armenian dispute, it is significant that the Parthian and Roman armies did not confront each other in Armenia. Their confrontation was along the Euphrates River, which had been crossed by the Parthian armed column led by the Magi. Everyone in the region breathed a huge sigh of relief when war was averted. As we shall soon see, if a war had been fought ending the Parthian-Roman detente, much of Jesus Christ’s ministry in Judea could not have occurred.

If the armed Parthian column led by the Magi provoked the Roman-Parthian confrontation in 1 A.D. during which war was averted, a date of 2 B.C. for Christ’s birth is more logical. If He had been born in 4 B.C., there would be too great a gap between that year and the Roman response in 1 A.D. However, a gap from 2 B.C. to 1 A.D. would be understandable given the political realities of that time.

The Bible says little else concerning the early years of Jesus Christ. Luke 2:40 states that Jesus ‚Äúwaxed strong,‚ÄĚ and was filled with wisdom and favored by God. Luke 2:41-50 tells us that Jesus, at age twelve, amazed the teachers in the Temple with His wisdom. This passage confirms that Jesus was being raised by His parents according to the Laws of God, as His family annually attended the Passover in Jerusalem, the location of the Temple. Jesus would have been seen by others as a devout, brilliant son of a prominent Jewish family.

Mat 2:2¬†¬†saying, Where is He¬†who is¬†born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.¬†3¬†¬†But when Herod the king heard these¬†things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.¬†4¬†¬†And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.¬†5¬†¬†And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea. For so it is written by the prophet,¬†6¬†¬†‚ÄúAnd you, Bethlehem,¬†in¬†the land of Judah, are not the least among the governors of Judah. For out of you shall come a Governor who shall rule My people Israel.‚Ä̬†7¬†¬†Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, inquired of them exactly what time the star appeared.¬†8¬†¬†And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child. And when you have found¬†him, bring me word again so that I may come and worship him also.¬†9¬†¬†When they had heard the king, they departed. And lo, the star which they saw in the east went before them until it came and stood over where the child was.¬†10¬†¬†And seeing the star, they rejoiced¬†with¬†exceedingly great joy.¬†11¬†¬†And coming into the house, they saw the child with Mary His mother. And they fell down and worshiped Him. And opening their treasures, they presented gifts to Him, gold and frankincense and myrrh.¬†12¬†¬†And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.¬†13¬†¬†And when they had departed, behold, the angel of¬†the¬†Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise and take the young child and His mother and flee into Egypt. And be there until I bring you word, for Herod is about to seek the child to destroy Him.¬†14¬†¬†And he arose and took the young child and his mother by night and departed into Egypt.¬†15¬†¬†And he was there until the death of Herod; so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the LORD through the prophet, ‚ÄúOut of Egypt I have called My Son.‚ÄĚ

Herod dies in 1 B.C., as we have shown you in the article above Conjunction or Sighted Which? Note this attack on the children was done two years after the birth of Yehshua. The wise men did not come at his birth but two years afterwards.

16  Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was greatly enraged. And he sent and killed all the boys in Bethlehem, and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had carefully inquired of the wise men.
Mat 2:17¬†¬†Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,¬†18¬†¬†‚ÄúA voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping¬†for¬†her children, and would not be comforted, because they are¬†not.‚Ä̬†19¬†¬†But Herod having expired, behold, an angel of¬†the¬†Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,¬†20¬†¬†saying, Arise, and take the child and His mother. And go into¬†the¬†land of Israel. For the ones who sought the child‚Äôs life are dead.¬†21¬†¬†And he arose and took the child and His mother and came into¬†the¬†land of Israel.¬†22¬†¬†But when he heard that Archelaus reigned in Judea in his father Herod‚Äôs place, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee.¬†23¬†¬†And he came and lived in a city called Nazareth, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, ‚ÄúHe shall be called a Nazarene.‚ÄĚ
Matthew 2:23,¬†‚ÄúAnd he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, ‚ÄúHe shall be called a Nazarene.‚ÄĚ

First we need to look at the verse¬†and notice that Matthew does not say ‚Äúthat it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet Isaiah or Jeremiah, etc.‚ÄĚ This tells us it is not a direct quote, but he tells us it comes from the prophets, plural. Therefore we know that this is a theme or common knowledge that they recorded. Lets look at what this means. Matthew in chapter 1:23 is quoting from Isaiah 7:14. In Chapter 4:15-16 he is quoting from Isaiah 9:1-2. Isaiah 7, 8 , 9, 10 and 11 are messianic prophecies. In 2:23 he is quoting from Isaiah 11:1,¬†‚ÄúThere shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.‚ÄĚ

What is the Hebrew word for branch in Isaiah 11:1? It is netzer. This is clearly a messianic prophecy that tells us Messiah will be a branch that bears fruit and will come from the stem ‚Äď or stump of Jesse. Matthew tells us that the Messiah will be called a netzer and he will have lowly origins coming from the stem/stump of Jesse. He tells us Yeshua dwelt in Natzeret (Nazareth) and was called a Natzerene (Nazarene). It is a prophetic play on words from a concept found in the other prophets where this figure was called a branch. Jeremiah 23:5, 33:15, Ezekiel 19:14 and Zechariah 6:12. Different words were used but they all meant ‚Äėbranch‚Äô.

This was important for three reasons; First, the play on words, netzer/natzereth. Second, the prophets‚Äô use of the term branch for a redeemer figure. Third, the emphasizing of the lowly origins of the stem/stump. Nazareth was not a spectacular place to be from. John 1:46,¬†‚ÄúAnd Nathanael said to him, `Can anything good come out of Nazareth?‚Ķ‚Ä̬†Matthew was not ignorant, he was not creating Scripture that was not there. He was pointing out the fulfillment of Scripture that many were familiar with. He was explaining that Yeshua was the branch/netzer they were waiting for.
We also know that the Jews of Yeshua’s time interpreted Isaiah 11 as Messianic. Targum on verse 1 and 6 in the Talmud (Jer. Berach. 5 a and Sanh. 93 b); and in a number of passages in the Midrashim. Verse 1 in Bereshith R. 85 on Gen. 38:18, where also Psa 110:2 is quoted, and in Ber. R. 99, ed. Warsh., p, 178 b. In Yalkut (vol. i. p. 247 d, near the top), it is described how God had shown Moses all the spirits of the rulers and prophets in Israel, from that time forward to the Resurrection. It is said that all these had one knowledge and one spirit, but that the Messiah had one spirit which was equal to all the others put together, according to Isaiah 11:1.

Let us now finish this birthday of Yehshua which we should be celebrating and shouting about. When He comes back from being in England and around the world we read of the start of HIs ministry.

Luk 3:1¬†¬†And in¬†the¬†fifteenth year of the government of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and¬†the¬†Trachonitus country, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene‚Äst2¬†¬†Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests‚Äď the Word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.¬†3¬†¬†And he came into all the country around Jordan, proclaiming the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,¬†4¬†¬†as it is written in¬†the¬†book of the Words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‚ÄúThe¬†voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of¬†the¬†Lord, make His paths straight.¬†5¬†¬†Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be straight, and the rough ways¬†shall be¬†made smooth.¬†6¬†¬†And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.¬†7¬†¬†Then he said to the crowd that came forth to be baptized by him, O generation of vipers! Who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?¬†8¬†¬†Therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for¬†our¬†father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.¬†9¬†¬†And now also the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.¬†10¬†¬†And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?¬†11¬†¬†He answered and said to them, He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. And he who has food, let him do likewise.¬†12¬†¬†And tax-collectors also came to be baptized and said to him, Teacher, what shall we do?¬†13¬†¬†And he said to them, Continue to do no more than that commanded to you.¬†14¬†¬†And the soldiers also asked of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said to them, Do not forcibly extort anyone, nor accuse¬†any¬†falsely. And be content with your wages.¬†15¬†¬†And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts concerning John, lest perhaps he was the Christ,¬†16¬†¬†John answered all, saying, I indeed baptize you with water, but He who is mightier than I comes, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to loose. He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire,¬†17¬†¬†whose fan¬†is¬†in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor and will gather the wheat into His storehouse. But He will burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.¬†18¬†¬†And then indeed exhorting many things, he proclaimed the gospel to the people.¬†19¬†¬†But Herod the tetrarch (being reproved by him on account of Herodias, his brother Philip‚Äôs wife, and for all¬†the¬†evils which Herod had done)¬†20¬†¬†added still this above all, that he even shut John up in prison.¬†21¬†¬†And it happened in the baptizing of all the people, Jesus also being baptized, and praying, and the heaven was opened.¬†22¬†¬†And the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily shape, like a dove on Him. And a voice came from Heaven, which said, You are My Son, the Beloved; I am delighted in You.¬†23¬†¬†And Jesus Himself was beginning to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) son of Joseph,¬†son of¬†of Heli,

Here are ten prophecies from the Old Testament, fulfilled in the coming of Jesus:
1. Jesus will come from the line of Abraham. Prophecy: Genesis 12:3. Fulfilled: Matthew 1:1.
2. Jesus‚Äô mother will be a virgin.¬†Prophecy:¬†Isaiah 7:14. Fulfilled:Matthew 1:18‚Äď23.
3. Jesus will be a descendent of Isaac and Jacob. Prophecy: Genesis 17:19 and Numbers 24:17. Fulfilled: Matthew 1:2.
4. Jesus will be born in the town Bethlehem.¬†Prophecy:¬†Micah 5:2. Fulfilled:¬†Luke 2:1‚Äď7.

10. Jesus will live a perfect life, die by crucifixion, resurrect from death, ascend into heaven, and sit at the right hand of God.Prophecies:¬†Psalm 22:16;¬†Psalm 16:10;¬†Isaiah 53:10‚Äď11;¬†Psalm 68:18;¬†Psalm 110:1. Imagine the gates to heaven swing open as the shofar is blown, the officers of the heavenly courtroom assemble and court is convened. The Judge takes His seat upon His throne and the books of judgment are brought forth (Daniel 7:9‚Äď10).

For ten days the heavenly court conducts the trial of every soul. Devil plays the role of prosecutor and presents a list of every person’s sins to the court.

At the end of Yom Kippur, the Judge pronounces the verdicts and seals them‚Äďevery name receives an inscription in either the Book of Life or in the Book of Death. The books close, the gavel falls, and judgment is finished. Those recorded in the Book of Death will not live to see another Yom Kippur. One last shofar is blown in heaven and the gates close for another year.

We are continually enlightened to “Bring forth therefore fruits befitting for repentance.” (Matthew 3:8) and to “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2:12), knowing “…the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.” (Proverbs 13:4).

    Monsieur Dumond,

September 20 is the day &b!den will announce Americas CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency). So, I am presently surmising that the abomination, that appears in these end times, shall we say, is the entire beast system which is directly opposed to God at many, many levels. LGBT does represent one facet that is a direct perversion of God’s creation, however, the beast system is is a denial of and endeavor to remove any and all blessings of Godly ways from society. That which we know as good will be called evil and not supported. Though CBDCs are already existent in many countries, and I am not knowledgeable how they are implemented in those countries, in America, holder of the world’s reserve currency, I see a much deeper nefarious-totalitarian takeover coming by Godless men (from the Deep$tate). And of course the Godly won’t adopt the currency leading to their exclusion from a system allowing them to buy or sell. This time is at hand which you will see Sept. 20.

What’s going on in the Philippines?

    Also wanted to as you

Joesph; I really enjoy reading your weekly newsletters.
But I have to disagree with your thoughts on celebrating birthdates.Yes you are right stating that no where in the scriptures are we told to not celebrate birthdays but there is also no mention of birthdays in the scriptures except when referring to death on a birthday celebrations. When the apostle John mentioned in the Revelation of Yahusha about coming out of Babylon; I often think that if it is not mentioned in scripture; then it is considered part of Babylon!
I have also read through most of your recent books via .pdf & find they are good but too technical for getting to the point that you are trying to promote!

Interesting information concerning the Fall Festival which are awaiting the Messiah to fulfill. In reading your quote of Isaiah which he declared basically the people (Jews) having eyes but do see and having hears do not hear. It means a failure to perceive when they should have known better. It backs up the common warning God gives to all of us aka “his people” My people perish for lack of knowledge” seems so pertinent to the Gentiles of this generation. After all, not everyone believes or hope in Christ. I believe the Feast of Trumpets will be the sound of the Trump to rapture the saints and prepare for the redemption of Israel by the Messiah. If the rebirth of Israel exist so does the rebirth Israel’s salvation draw near! Maranatha!

Prophet Joe, you will be the right hand man of Jehovah and Jesus. The trinity of Js! The whole planet will be taught Torah by you. Now only a couple hundred heed your message but soon it will 8 billion plus the 80 billion who have died and will be resurrected! That’s almost 100 billion keeping Torah! Hallelujah!
