Shabbat Shalom Brothers and Sisters of Yehovah family,
The 9th of Av, Did you see what happened?
Last week we told you to watch and see what takes place this week during Tish b’Av. Now some say this day is the 9th of Av others say it is the 10th of Av.
This past Sunday was the 8th of Av but at sunset, it became the 9th of Av.
Sunday afternoon Mike Pompeo said the following in a public speech.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday launched a blistering attack on Iran’s clerical and military rulers, calling them a kleptocracy akin to the mafia in a message the United States plans to start broadcasting heavily in Iran.
“The level of corruption and wealth among regime leaders shows that Iran is run by something that resembles the mafia more than a government,” Mr Pompeo said in speech made to a largely Iranian American audience at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library outside Los Angeles.
Mr Pompeo’s remarks on Sunday reprised his criticism of the Iranian government, but on a deeply personal level that is likely to be repeated in the US government broadcasts into Iran.
He lit into what he called Iran’s “hypocritical holy men”, saying the ruling elites have enriched themselves through corruption, and called out officials by name who he said had plundered government coffers through embezzlement or by winning lucrative contracts.
He singled out “the billionaire general”, Interior Minister Sadegh Mahsouli; Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, the “Sultan of Sugar”; and Sadeq Ardeshir Larijani, the head of Iran’s judiciary, whom he said had embezzled $300 million in public money.
“Call me crazy,” Mr Pompeo said, “but I’m a little skeptical that a thieving thug under international sanctions is the right man to be Iran’s highest-ranking judicial official.”
He also attacked Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for presiding over a $95 billion “sludge fund” for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Mr Pompeo also blamed the government for Iran’s economic woes, which have led to anti-government protests nationwide.
“The bitter irony of the economic situation in Iran is that the regime uses its time to line its own pockets while its people cry out for jobs, reform and opportunity,” Mr Pompeo said. “The Iranian economy is going great – but only if you’re a politically connected member of the elite.”
Understand the Ayatollah has $95 Billion with a “B” at his control to do with what he wants while his people are suffering.
This next News report suggests that this was said before Mike Pompeo’s speech. But then it might have been after. I am not sure. Again this is still Sunday, July 22 about 5:43 PM.
TEHRAN: Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani today warned the United States not to “play with the lion’s tail”, saying that conflict with Iran would be the “mother of all wars”.
Addressing his US counterpart Donald Trump, Rouhani said: “You declare war and then you speak of wanting to support the Iranian people.”You cannot provoke the Iranian people against their own security and interests,” he said in a televised speech at a gathering of Iranian diplomats in Tehran.
Rouhani repeated his warning that Iran could shut down the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping lane for international oil supplies.
“We have always guaranteed the security of this strait. Do not play with the lion’s tail, you will regret it forever,” he said.
“Peace with Iran would be the mother of all peace and war with Iran would be the mother of all wars.” Rouhani spoke ahead of a much-trailed speech by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo later today, seen as part of Washington’s efforts to foment unrest against the Islamic government in Iran.
Now at 11:24 PM which is now the 9th of Av President Trump let go his famous tweet now.
To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!
On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif issued the first regime response to Mr. Trump’s Twitter warning, saying in his own tweet: “COLOR US UNIMPRESSED: The world heard even harsher bluster a few months ago. And Iranians have heard them – albeit more civilized ones – for 40 yrs. We’ve been around for millennia & seen fall of empires, incl our own, which lasted more than the life of some countries. BE CAUTIOUS!”
Friday, July 27 is the full blood moon over the Middle East and Europe, and many people are saying so what. They had 4 Blood Moon on the High Holy Days in 2014 and 2015 and nothing happened.
WOW right there. Let’s take another look at what HAS happened.
First of all, there was a blood moon at Passover in 2014 Sukkot in 2014, Passover in 2015, Sukkot in 2015 Passover in 2016 and Sukkot in 2016. There were 6 Blood moon events not just four but six of them over the course of those three years. Extremely rare.
ISIS, although they began in Iraq in 2009, did not come to control the area of Syria and Iraq until the summer of 2014. ISIS in 2018 has all but been eliminated. Then as the Syrians fought back to take back their land from the rebels and ISIS and other groups they invited the Russians to help them and now Russia has a port to use in Syria on the Mediterranean Sea. Some are saying this is the start of the Gog Magog War. I am not one of those people though. But we will see.
Then in August of 2015,
Chancellor Angela Merkel and Berlin took the lead in efforts to resolve the European refugee crisis on Monday by declaring all Syrian asylum-seekers welcome to remain in Germany – no matter which EU country they had first entered.
That was followed by Millions of North African and Syrian and Islamic “refugees” who flooded Europe with young men. The raping of European young women soon followed. The EU now has an army of youth who hate Israel. This voice is seen many times in the UN.
With so many nations having proxy wars in Syria it is very difficult to know who is fighting for whom. But it does not matter. What matters is that Syria is in ruins. In all of this, I keep coming back to the prophecy of Isiah over and over.
Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks; and they shall lie down and there shall be none to make them afraid. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith Jehovah of hosts. And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall become lean.
We now can see All of Syria is a ruinous heap. So next comes the part where Ephraim is to have his fortress removed. And the glory of Jacob or all of Israel, all 12 tribes will be made thin and will become lean.
So with this on my mind, the PBS News Hour had the following report. I urge you all to watch this.
The USA has just given their farmers 12 Billion in aid because of the trade wars that are ongoing. The entire bean crop is in jeopardy of being lost. To harvest the beans with the spot market price today means they all will harvest the crops just so they can lose money. Corn and wheat and other crops are dealing with the same problem. Is the USA about to become lean with food shortages. And if the USA has a food shortage, the rest of the world is going to starve.
The Blood moon is a warning of a coming war. The Dark moon which is a dark yellow moon warns of famine coming.
In the news this week was the horrific wildfire that swept through Greece killing over 70 people. England, Canada, Europe, the USA and Australia are all having wildfires plaguing them right now. The second curse of Lev 26 warns us that if we do not turn back to the Torah then Yehovah will do as He promised.
Lev 26 18 And if for this ye hearken not unto me, I will punish you sevenfold more for your sins, and I will break the arrogance of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as bronze, and your strength shall be spent in vain, and your land shall not yield its produce; and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.
We have explained this in great detail in our video The Blood Moons, please do watch it and share it with others and let them know what is going on.
Now let us get back to the things going on with the USA and Iran and the threats.
Here is what it says in Daniel 8 about what I think are the events you’re watching on the news each night now.
I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward, and no beast could stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; and he did according to his will, and became great. And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran upon him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close to the ram, and he was enraged with him, and smote the ram, and broke his two horns; and there was no power in the ram to stand before him; and he cast him down to the ground, and trampled upon him; and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. And the he-goat became exceeding great; but when he was become strong, the great horn was broken; and in its stead came up four notable ones toward the four winds of the heavens.
15 And it came to pass, when I Daniel had seen the vision, I sought for the understanding of it, and behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. And I heard a man’s voice between [the banks of] the Ulai; and he called and said, Gabriel, make this [man] to understand the vision. And he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was afraid, and fell on my face; and he said unto me, Understand, son of man; for the vision is for the time of the end. Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep stupor, with my face toward the ground. And he touched me, and set me up where I had stood. And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be at the end of the indignation: for at the set time the end shall be. The ram that thou sawest having the two horns: they are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Greece; and the great horn that was between his eyes is the first king. Now that being broken, whereas four stood up in its stead, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power. And at the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors shall have come to the full, a king of bold countenance, and understanding riddles, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy marvellously, and shall prosper, and shall practise, and shall destroy the mighty ones, and the people of the saints. And through his cunning shall he cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he will magnify [himself] in his heart, and by prosperity will corrupt many; and he will stand up against the Prince of princes: but he shall be broken without hand. And the vision of the evening and the morning which hath been told is true; but close thou up the vision, for it is for many days [to come].
Now the Goat from the west is that the USA or does Greece represent the EU. Although the Greeks at first were the children of Israel, it is my view that this is speaking of the EU and that Iran is going to attack it. And then the EU retaliates and crushes the Iranians. I say the EU because it is the King of the North and Iran the King of the South.
Daniel 11 is a long list of events that have taken place between the King of the North and the King of the South. It never includes the USA but it does include the EU.
Brethren we are on the edge of something historic and devastating and detrimental to us all. It will result in the 12 tribes of Israel being hunted and killed for 6 1/4 years starting in 2020.
The Blood moons of 2014, 2015, 2016 and note this one right after the 9th of Av and the events that just happened are warning us that war is about to come. Are you preparing to flee and do you know where your fleeing?
Mathew 24:2-0 But pray that your flight may not be in winter time nor on sabbath: for then shall there be great tribulation, such as has not been from [the] beginning of [the] world until now, nor ever shall be; and if those days had not been cut short, no flesh had been saved; but on account of the elect those days shall be cut short.
It is time to get right with Yehovah. It is time to repent from not keeping the Sabbath and the Holy Days and the Sabbatical year. It is time to start keeping them while you have the time to do so. Watch our video about the blood moons and see if what we are saying is true or not.
Septennial Torah Reading Parashah # 70
We have resumed the Septennial Torah readings on our site. We used to do them and I would comment each week.
I will give you the reading for this week and you can go and read them without my comments. Instead of them being the annual Torah readings that are done in one year, the Septennial reading is done twice over the 7 year Sabbatical cycle.
The first week’s reading would have been done on April 1, 2017. This is the start of the first week in this 4th Sabbatical cycle right after the Shemitah year was done. Since this time, this Sabbath is now the 70th week of this Sabbatical Cycle. The readings for this Sabbath is very significant. Exodus is our Mariage Ketubah which we all agreed to at Mount Sinai. And the Isaiah section is the lead up to the 2 Kings 19:29 which determines our Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles. Very important for us to understand.
Week # Shabbat Date Torah Neviim Ketuvim Brit Chadasha
70 28/07/2018 Ex 24 Isaiah 34-36 Ps 140-143 John 12
Jan has now informed me that all the Torah study commentary is now linked to each of the studies thanks to James. I had done a commentary on each section in the previous Sabbatical cycle. So although the dates are for that time the commentary is still relevant. Here is the link to the Torah study for week 70
You can see all the Torah studies at this link or by going to the Library and clicking on the 3 1/2 year Torah Reading
Go in Peace
The following is from a few years ago and with many of the new people still learning about the Sabbath and Holy Days, I thought I would share this note once again.
I received the following email a couple weeks ago and want to share it with all of you and then comment on it.
I have a question. I started my garden in the spring I didn’t think about the Sabbath year. It is all planted, and growing. I am new to this Sabbath days and years, but the 4th commandment says to keep it
holy. Anyway I believe what you are saying about the word of God. I brought this up at bible study they said go and join the 7 day ad. church. I need a little help because I believe the bible is the word
of God. I miss the 1st month feast days I don’t want to miss the fall feast days. Should I walk away from the garden this year? I thank God for your wed site.
Thanks Lynn Jones
What would you answer? I shared this with my team at sightedmoon.com and was given sound advice. I prayed about it and was led to a teaching from Nehemiah Gordon & Keith Johnson on Naaman.
Here is the story and then I will add my comments after.
2Ki 5:1 And Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and exalted man with his master, because Jehovah had given deliverance to Syria by him. He was also a mighty man, but a leper. 2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and captured a little girl out of the land of Israel. And she waited on Naaman’s wife. 3 And she said to her mistress, I wish my lord were with the prophet in Samaria! For he would recover him from his leprosy. 4 And one went in and told his lord, saying, This and this said the girl from the land of Israel. 5 And the king of Syria said, Go, go in and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he departed and took with him ten talents of silver and six thousand of gold, and ten changes of clothing. 6 And he came in with the letter to the king of Israel, saying, And now when this letter has come to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you. And you shall recover him of his leprosy. 7 And it happened when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to recover a man from his leprosy? For consider now, and see, for he is coiling himself toward me. 8 And it happened when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, he sent to the king, saying, Why have you torn your clothes? Let him now come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. 9 And Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come to you, and you shall be clean. 11 But Naaman was angry, and went away. And he said, Behold, I said within myself, He will surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and strike his hand over the place and recover the leper. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them, and be clean? And he turned and went away in a rage. 13 And his servants came near and spoke to him and said, My father, ifthe prophet had told you to do a great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather then, when he says to you, Wash and be clean? 14 And he went down and dipped seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God. And his flesh came again like the flesh of a little boy, and he was clean. 15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company. And he came and stood before him. And he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel. And now please take a blessing from your servant. 16 But he said, As Jehovah lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it, but he refused. 17 And Naaman said, Please shall there not then be given to your servant two mules’ burden of earth? For your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to Jehovah. 18 In this thing may Jehovah pardon your servant, that when my master goes to the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he is supported by my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon; when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may Jehovah pardon your servant in this thing. 19 And he said to him, Go in peace. And he went away from him a little way.
When I first learned about the Sabbaths in 1982 I was working 7 days a week as a Pipeline Foreman. I had as many as 50 men working under my authority. We had the crew split up into three sections with straw bosses looking after each group of men, the Right-of-way and digging crew, the pipe gang and welding crew, the lowering in crew, and then the backfill and clean up crew. We used to go up and down four lanes of traffic in Quebec City and Trois Riviere digging up the one lane, cutting jackhammering and then doing all of our work and paving it by the end of the day. We would do about 1,000 meters every day. That was my crew.
In Quebec City I had 5 crews, all of about 50 men, each doing this throughout the city and we all worked 7 days a week.
I was both a Foreman and then a Supt. And yet I was being called to keep this Sabbath rest on Saturdays. I tried to prove it wrong and could not. Even my Catholic Church said if I went by the bible that I would have to admit that the Saturday Sabbath is the Sabbath.
With all of this responsibility I had and trying to build a name and a career, I now had to wrestle with this Sabbath question and working on Saturdays.
I was praying and reading and learning lots of things I was never taught in church.
So I decided to set up my crews and line them out with the days work each Saturday morning and then once they were going I would sneak away and drive the 3-hour drive to Montreal to attend Sabbath service. The people were so nice and so generous, inviting me to stay with them and to eat with them after Sabbath. But then when I went back to work the next day I was greeted with a disaster. the first week they hit a major electric line, shutting down over half of Trois Riviere. The next Sabbath I sneaked away they hit a major trans-Canada Bell Line and then the third week they hit a major water line. During the week nothing went wrong but on the Sabbath when I was supposed to be there, disasters struck. Why God? I am trying to obey.
My boss and the owner of the company came to me and asked me what was going on. I thought I was about to be fired. My career was about to be destroyed. I explained to them why I was going to Montreal each Saturday. I walked out of the meeting with my head low and about to pack up my things and return home. I was working out of town. Monday they sent out a memo to all employees stating that this company would no longer be working on Saturdays. This upset many of the men who wanted the overtime and it stunned me as Yehovah had brought this about for my sake. I was happy and stunned at the same time.
Another story: A man has to plant rice in order to pay for his mortgage on his land or he will loose the land. It is the Sabbatical year and the man just learned about it. He plants the fields even though he know he should not. His prior commitments force him to do so, even though he does not want to. Should we condemn this man for having a lack of faith? No, not at all. Then other men in the faith have stepped in and offered to pay the mortgage so that he can keep the Shemitah year.
Other people use the name of Jesus and God when they first come into this walk. Should we jump right on them and tell then not to say it but instead to say Yehshua or Yehovah? No. Absolutely not.
Let us get back to Naaman.
Naaman became a believer in Yehovah after he was healed and wanted to obey Him. But he says in
17 And Naaman said, Please shall there not then be given to your servant two mules’ burden of earth? For your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to Jehovah. 18 In this thing may Jehovah pardon your servant, that when my master goes to the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he is supported by my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon; when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may Jehovah pardon your servant in this thing.
As the Commander for the Syrian King Naaman had to hold the hand of King as he bowed in the Temple of Rimmon. If he did not bow along with the King it could mean his life would be killed. Naaman no longer believed in Rimmon as we have just read but was trapped in a situation he did not know how to get out of. Much like I was. Much like many of you are when you are called. You had no idea you were sinning when you first learned about the Sabbath and Holy Days.
But Yehovah is the one calling you and just as He did with me – He provided a door of escape for me and He will do the same for you.
What was Elisha’s response? Did he condemn Naaman for worshipping idols like many of you do to others who are still learning, like I was when I first started?
19 And he said to him, Go in peace.
All of us are on a learning curve. Some are just starting and others are well along on the curve. Many have forgotten how they once were when they first began.
To Lynn Jones I say share your garden with others. Eat some of it for yourselves. Do not put any away for the winter. And continue to study Yehovah’s word. Go in Peace.
What did the Apostles say in Acts?
Act 15:6 And the apostles and elders were assembled to see about this matter. 7 And after much disputing, Peter rose up and said to them, Men, brothers, you recognize that from ancient days God chose among us that through my mouth the nations should hear the Word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, who knows the hearts, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit even as to us. 9 And He put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10 Now therefore why do you tempt God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples, a yoke which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, according to which manner they also believed. 12 And all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring what miracles and wonders God had worked among the nations through them. 13 And after they were silent, James answered, saying, Men, brothers, listen to me. 14 Even as Simon has declared how God at the first visited the nations to take out of them a people for His name. 15 And the words of the Prophets agree to this; as it is written, 16 “After this I will return and will build again the tabernacle of David which has fallen down; and I will build again its ruins, and I will set it up, 17 so those men who are left might seek after the Lord, and all the nations on whom My name has been called, says the Lord, who does all these things.” 18 All His works are known to God from eternity. 19 Therefore my judgment is that we do not trouble those who have turned to God from among the nations, 20 but that we write to them that they should abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses from ages past has those in every city proclaiming him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
These new people would continue to learn and grow each week as they went to where Moses was taught. You do not have to perfect them all in one sitting. Let them have time to grow and digest and think. Yehovah called them, not you. Let Him work with them. Show them mercy as you were shown mercy. Plant your seed and let it grow.
Now go in Peace
One leads you to Sin and the Other leads you to Yehovah
For the past month, we have been sharing with you the false practices of the Metonic Cycles and the Postponement rules that are incorporated into the Hebrew Calendar and cause you to keep the Holy Days of Lev 23 on days that Yehovah did not say to keep them on. We have been saying in jest that you could find these “new rules” in Lev 29. Lev 29 if you check and many of you did go to look it up, is not there. It is a fictitious chapter the same as these postponement rules and the Metonic 19-year cycles are also fictitious and should not be used.
These are things that have been added to the Torah. And yet over and over we are warned not to add to the Torah. So people do and others then follow those additions.
Deu 4:2 “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it1, so as to guard the commands of Yehovah your Elohim which I am commanding you.
Deu 12:32 “All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it
Pro 30:6 Do not add to His Words, Lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.
Rev 22:18 For I witness to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, Elohim shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the set-apart city, which are written in this Book.
We then asked you all to go outside and look for the first visible crescent and to write to us and become a witness as to whether or not you were saw it. You were acting as one of the two witnesses needed to confirm when the month began.
Sunday, August 12 will be the next opportunity for you and your family to go out and look for the moon and see who can see it first. I want to encourage all of you to do it and to then write in the comments section whether you could see it and where in the world you are and at what time you saw it. All of you should do this as it shows Yehovah you are watching and looking.
We have been telling you that if you keep the Hebrew Calendar then you are sinning by keeping the Holy Days at the wrong time. It is no different than keeping the Sabbath on Sunday or Friday. Yehovah does not recognize it. We are also telling you to go out and look for the crescent moon so that you will learn by actually doing it about why no man can know the day or the hour as Yehshua talks about in the book of Mathew.
No One Can Know the Day or the Hour
I have for years, as a pet project, tried to calculate the return of the Messiah. Whenever I would get some new information I would add it up with what I thought I knew. It has always held my interest. Many have tried to do calculations and have had endless theories, but who is correct? How can we ever figure out when He will return? But in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-28 is a line that has always said to me that we could know when.
Thessalonians 5:1-51 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
We who are followers of Yehovah are to understand. We are not in the darkness as the rest of the world is. We were to be ready so as not to be surprised as if a thief had sneaked up on us.
In my studies over the years, I have studied the Jubilee, and Land Rest Years. I studied the Feasts and what they meant in times past and what they mean today and what they mean in the future. I am still studying them for an even deeper meaning. I look at the sacrifices and the rituals that the priest performed. I have learned a great deal. As I began to understand these things, Ezekiel 33: 1 – 33 comes to mind.
Ezekiel 33: 1 – 33 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, 3 when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, 4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’ 7 “So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’ “So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. Now let me say right up front I could be wrong. I have had no visions or dreams and no one has spoken to me from heaven. But what if I am right, and I don’t speak up? What if after, many die, it was up to me to speak up and I did not. Woe is me!
So I will speak up now and put my name on this document and risk the ridicule I will receive from my brethren and others. And maybe this will cause some to get ready and others to begin to study and learn and search out the scriptures. And maybe others still will laugh and carry on as if nothing has been said.
Right now some are already quoting Matthew 24. But read it carefully.
Matthew 24:32-51 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near–at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ 49and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,, 51and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near–at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? In this passage, our Messiah says a number of things, but most people stop at
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
They don’t read or they don’t grasp what is being said when He says “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming” So now we are told to watch. We who are His sheep don’t know the hour. Do we now know the Day? And why can’t we know the hour?
He then says to us concerning the thief in the night, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Again we are told at an hour we do not expect. And again He does not say that we won’t know the day. But of the evil servant, He says “the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,”
He says the evil servant won’t know the day or the hour. WHY?
I have already quoted Paul in;
1 Thessalonians 5:1 -But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.”
Why did Paul not need to write to them concerning the times and season? What is he talking about? Paul is talking about the Holy Days that they kept in the appropriate seasons. They were keeping the Holy Days correctly.
- So what does this mean? The Holy Days are shadow pictures of good things to come.
Colossians 2:16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
So, let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths. Do not let those who do not keep the Torah sway you with their opinion and their views about how you are to keep the Sabbath and Holy Days. They do not understand how they are shadow images of the Kingdom. The very Kingdom of which you are now an ambassador of.
Hebrew 8:4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; 5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” And
Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect., and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.
The Thessalonians were keeping the Holy Days correctly and they understood the meaning of each day. Each Holy Day represented a part of our Father’s plan for mankind. I think we all know this. But do we forget that the Sabbath years and the Jubilee Years are also shadow pictures, of good things to come? I can go on for hours in laying down my research this subject, but I will try to come to a summary as quickly as possible and allow the reader to go and research these things themselves like the Bereans.
The Evil servant and those who will not obey Yehovah and His Torah, will not know the Day or the Season, because they won’t be keeping the Holy Days at the correct time or on the correct day, or even keeping them at all. The Good servants will have made themselves ready before the Holy Day arrives. Their garments for the wedding will have been washed white and pressed and laid aside ready to be put on at the exact hour.
Read Matthew 25, and Matthew 22, and get yourself ready. But also note the servants are working to increase the money left them by the King. To increase the Holy Spirit each one was given, when we were all called.
How much have you gained? How worked up is the Spirit in you?
So what day are we talking about? It is the Feast of Trumpets.
This is the day the Messiah is to return. This is the day Yehshua was born in 3 BC. Do some research and you’ll see I am correct on this point. And because it is the Feast of Trumpets, this is why we won’t know the exact hour. I’ll explain.
From all the research I have gathered, the Feast begins in the Seventh month and it begins when the new moon can first be seen in Jerusalem. This is Tishri 1 and the Feast of Trumpets. Once the new moon is spotted, at least two witnesses had to report to the Temple and tell the Guard who would go and get the High Priest and notify him that they had two witnesses. The High Priest would call for the two to come up to him and he would interview the two witnesses to make sure they could see the silver crescent of the new moon and that the sun had set before they saw it. Once the High Priest was satisfied he would call the rest of the Sanhedrin and announce the Feast has arrived and command for the trumpets to be blown announcing the Feast of Trumpets, so all would know.
There are many that will disagree with my conclusions. But consider what I have just said. Everyone is waiting for this announcement to start the Feast. But they are still working away at there job. They already have made their garments white and pressed them. The food for the Feast is prepared in advance waiting. No one knows when the Shofar is to blow. So they keep on working. When the Messiah returns on the Feast of Trumpets, no one will know the hour nor the day, because they won’t know if the moon is going to be sighted today or the next day. [I am referring to a crescent Moon with 1% visibility. A Moon with 2% or more should be easily seen.] But they will know the Feast day is close to being announced. And once it is sighted there is a procedure to go through before it is declared official.
Then the shofars are blown then the Messiah returns. It is the evil servant who does not keep the Feasts nor has bothered to learn about the Torah of Yehovah that is left behind to face the music. How can this be a Feast day if they are still working? If it was a conjuncture moon it would have been predicted in advance and on a day or two before. But, because it is a sighted visible crescent moon that marks the beginning of the first day of the new month. The seventh month, Tishri 1. The Feast of Trumpets, because it is sighted and not known for sure whether it is today or tomorrow, that the Feast begins. That is why the brethren are still working alongside those that won’t be keeping the Holy days at the right time or in the right month.
So if Yehshua follows the example that he gave us in how exactly down to the detail he fulfilled the spring Holy Days, then we can expect Him to also fulfil the fall Holy Days down to the exact detail.
Get ready now! He is coming, and soon! Are you ready? Will you be ready?
OK, let’s pause a second and consider the conjuncture Moon. As we all know it is calculated in advance and we know this year and even years down the road that the Feast of Trumpets is going to be on a certain day. We even plan our Feasts years in advance and book rooms and make plans and book air travel. Why because we know the day of the Feast.
But Yehshua said we would not know which day was the Feast. With a calculated conjuncture Moon you do know what day the Feast is and in effect are calling Yehshua a liar. The other thing a conjuncture Moon and the Hebrew calendar do not take into consideration is the Wave Offering which I discuss in the article Pentecost’s Hidden Meaning. Because we don’t know from year to year when the Barley is going to be ripe until it is actually seen in Israel. If, we don’t know when the beginning of the year is, how can we know when the seventh month will be. And then once we know when the seventh month is we still won’t know which day is the Feast of Trumpets until we see the new Crescent Moon. These two variables prove what Yehshua said in Matt 24: 36
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
You are about to give birth. You have your bags packed and ready. You know it is going to come at any moment. But you do not know when. But your bags are packed and waiting. Then the first major birth bang starts and you dash off to the hospital to give birth. When that happens depends on many things. So you just do not know.
On the other hand, you could have opted for a caesarian and the date and the hour of this operation to have the baby is like the conjunction moon. You know the date and the time it is going to happen.
We will not know the day or the hour until it happens. In 2005 I kept the Holy Days according to this method. The Barley was early. This caused all the Holy Days to be one month earlier than the Hebrew Calendar. The seventh new Moon was sighted in September and sent out as follows. “On Monday, September 5, 2005, the New Moon of the Seventh Biblical Month was sighted from Israel marking Yom Teruah, the Day of Shouting (Trumpets).”
In this example, if Yehshua had returned this Feast of Trumpets, those of us who were ready would have been chosen while those who thought it was a month away [using the Hebrew Calendar] would have still been working in the fields. [Those using the Barley and a conjunction Moon as the starting point would have been celebrating a day earlier due to the conjunction.]
This example clearly shows that the Day is not known in advance, and never can be really. And the hour also is unknown. A 1 % visible moon is not always seen from Israel. If it is not seen then for sure it will be the next day. And I feel this is what David is doing in 1Samuel 20. The new Crescent was not seen that night therefore it was going to be the next one. Make no mistake a sighted crescent moon can be calculated. But a marginal crescent moon is not always seen. This is the variable.
The conclusion of this paper is not to show when the Messiah is to return. No, but rather, to show why we cannot know the day or the Hour of His return. It is because of this method in determining the New Moon, which marks the beginning of the new Month. It has to be sighted. This fact taken in relation to the Barley and Wave offering clearly show why we will not know when He is to return. At least not the Day or the Hour.
For the rest of this weeks teaching about the birth of the Messiah I would like to take back to an older article about the Courses of Abija
