Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,
It has been another busy week. I was interviewed on the podcast called Biblical Hitmen, and it aired last Shabbat. (https://www.youtube.com/@TheBiblicalHitmen) Our second interview with CrossingFaiths aired this past Monday. (https://www.crossingfaiths.com/episodes) I hope you will give it a listen. The host, Elliot Toman, was very knowledgeable and a delight to talk with. I very much enjoyed this conversation, and I think there might be another one in the future.
Ryan Nall has also been busy with our Sightedmoon.com podcasts, featuring a couple of very special guests this week. I encourage you to listen to them as you drive to and from work. Give them to your friends and family to listen to as they are driving about, also.
Sombra and Stuart have returned from Kenya and arrived home on Thursday. She has updated us with the last part of those things she has done in Kenya and her meeting with Henry Mate.
The New Moon was seen on Thursday evening.
This week, part of the world was celebrating Diwali; next week is Hallowe’en, followed by Chanukah, then the Christmas season and New Year’s. My question to you all is: why are there only 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, but Yehovah also states in Revelation 7 that He is going to take an innumerable multitude from those heathen? I am asking you to answer the question of why. I hope this is a wake-up call for all of you who are just doing enough to get in. Maybe you’re not in…
Finally, I want to encourage you all to give the gift that keeps on giving. Give your loved ones a copy of It Was A Riddle Not A Command and tell them this book shows them precisely what day Jesus was born on. Let this book do for them what you cannot do yourself. Let it convict them as we get closer to the Christmas season. Then you can have that conversation you have been praying Yehovah will grant you by having your family in this walk with you. Get a copy and give it them today so they have time to read before Christmas. https://sightedmoon.com/riddle-lp/

About this Episode
In this episode of Crossing Faiths, Elliot Toman speaks with Joseph Dumond, an author and expert on biblical prophecy and the Jubilee calendar. Dumond explains his theory that humanity has been allotted 120 Jubilee cycles of 49 years, a timeline derived from Genesis 6:3, which he believes provides a framework for predicting major prophetic events, including the beginning of the end times. He argues that the holy days described in Leviticus 23 serve as a prophetic template, with Jesus’s crucifixion fulfilling the Passover and his return corresponding to the Feast of Trumpets. The conversation also explores the historical divergence of Christianity from its Jewish roots, the importance of observing God’s law (including the Sabbath), and the practical implications of Dumond’s timeline, which points to a final judgment period culminating in 2033. Ultimately, Dumond issues an urgent call for listeners to repent, return to the Bible as their sole authority, and prepare for what he asserts is a biblically calculated and imminent conclusion to the current age.

Who is The Beast From The Book of Revelation? | Interview with Joseph Dumond
Hello and Shalom everyone! I am your host Ryan Nall and today I am interviewing a special guest, Joseph Dumond. Today we are going to be talking about his new book that will be coming out very soon “A Lion Rises up, The Coming of Apollyon” and how the current events in the middle east is Biblical prophecy coming to pass before our very eyes.
Christianity Invented Halloween!?
Would you be shocked and appalled if I told you that Halloween was invented by Christianity?
Halloween is the 3rd most popular holiday in America according to ChatGPT.15% considering it their favorite Holiday.
Halloween is believed to have stemmed from Celtic origin. The day was called Samhain pronounced Saw-ween.When Rome conquered the Celtic nation in 79 CE, they began to mix this custom with their own dead worshiping holiday.
The Thief in The Night | No Man Knows The Day or The Hour
Joseph Dumond speaking on “The Thief in the Night” and “No Man Knows the Day or the Hour,” this is a great teaching that will open your eyes to both of these Biblical sayings that everyone loves to quote. Joseph really breaks it down in simple language that a 7 year old can understand. I hope you enjoy this lesson and don’t hesitate to visit us at Sightedmoon.com.
Speaking The Word of God in Kenya | Interview with Sombra Wilson
Today is a special episode, and we are here speaking with Sombra Wilson, who is currently in Kenya, Africa. She is experiencing such touching moments talking with the Kenyan people and teaching the Word of Yehovah! We are indeed blessed by her testimony of how the people are discovering a new truth in keeping the Sabbath, and gaining a deeper understanding of the Torah.
She also quotes Isaiah 11:10 and describes how the Kenyan people understand Pathros to mean Kenya, as Kenya is at the end of the Nile. What a blessing that Sombra has been able to do this great work for Yehovah in teaching the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. We pray for the people of Kenya that they continue their search for Yehovah and find Him.
The Yoreh Rains Already Came? | Israel is Late on Keeping Sukkot!
The Yoreh Rains are the autumn rains of the year in Israel. These rains signify that the feast day calendar of the year has come to an end. While Israel and some other groups are celebrating Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles) this week, the rain has already come and gone! On Sept 25th, not only was it raining, but it also flooded parts of Israel with a record-breaking 5 inches of rain, marking the first occurrence in 93 years! This is Yehovah telling Israel that they are late in celebrating Sukkot. Why pray for rain, Schmini Azaret (8th Day Feast), if the rain has already happened? It’s a moot point to pray for rain while it’s raining. They are keeping Sukkot this week, and it’s literally forecast to rain in October. 12th. So, Yehovah is not only proving it to us once but twice that the Hillel calendar is a month late on the feast days. The Feast Days of Yehovah are dictated by scripture, by the wheat/barley being ripe for the harvest and the sighting of the crescent moon. While we were celebrating Sukkot in September, we didn’t see a single drop of rain. It was sunny the ENTIRE time. So, rain is the clue; if you see rain during Sukkot, then you’ve done something wrong. You have swerved off the path a few degrees. Let’s get back to the scriptures and start understanding when to celebrate the Holy Days of Yehovah at His appointed times.
How did you come to Torah!? | Interview with Sombra Wilson
Today we are having a conversation with Sombra Wilson who is also a member of the executive team here at sightedmoon. We are talking about how did we find Torah?

It Was A Riddle Not A Command
Listen to this Podcast discussing one of Joseph’s most popular books.
You Can Learn the Secret Meaning of:
No One Knows the Day of the Hour
Why does no One Know When Jesus was born?
When Does the Thief in the Night Come?
Why Are the Foolish Virgins Rejected?
No One Knows The Day or The Hour is a Hebrew idiom or parable.
Jesus spoke in parables to conceal His message which He later explained to the Apostles.
No One Knows The Day or the Hour is telling you the very day He will come back on!
The exact opposite to what you thought it said!
This is the very same day when He first came.
The Book of Revelation Tells you the very day and hour He was born.
You are given clues in Revelation about the thief that comes in the night, about being caught naked and ashamed. All of these clues tell you about the very day He is coming back.
Paul wrote to the Thessalonians telling them they had no need to write them about the Day of the Lord
FOR THEY KNEW FULL WELL THE MOEDIM!!!
Knowing the Moedim shows you the Day and Hour No Man Can Know.
We are also told about the Two Witnesses in the Book of Revelation…
What revelations do the Two Witnesses show you about the birth of Jesus?
There was a heavenly Host praising God when Jesus was born.
This, too, tells you the Day He was born.
Are you aware that the 5 Foolish Virgins did not understand what the Thief in the Night was?
Do You?
All these questions and so much more are explained in detail.
It was a Riddle for us to figure out.
It was not a command that we could not know.
We can KNOW.
YOU Can Know!
Thoroughly researched and profoundly significant!
5.0 out of 5 stars
There just isn’t a better book on Christian prophecy than this! What an eye opener!
Of the many books and articles that I have read on prophecy in my personal search for truth, this is the only one that does not rely on old ideas that were developed hundreds of years ago when knowledge was minimal. So much more has been learned through historical and archeological research. The world has changed so much that before now no one could have clearly envisioned how prophecy might play out.
I think the average Christian doesn’t realize that recent developments in technology and huge increases in knowledge offer us a unique opportunity to raise the veil so that we might see clearly what was once hidden behind a dark glass.
After learning about these things and seriously considering the Bible, with a willingness to set aside my traditional beliefs about prophecy, I have come to the conclusion that this book is inspired by God. Mr. Dumond presents compelling information that overturns long held assumptions and unverified beliefs making the entire body of prophetic knowledge fully accessible. As a matter of fact I think that just about anyone with no previous knowledge of the Bible would understand things that scholars have devoted their lives to explaining.
I would like everyone to know what is being shown in the pages of this book. No serious truth seeker should pass up the opportunity to have their eyes opened through its revelations. I believe it is the most important book ever written,- next to the Bible itself.
Thank you Joseph Dumond.

The Stones Cry Out Part 1 & Part 2
The Stones Cry Out Part 1 & Part 2
Do you want to know how to prove the Zadok Calendar, the Enoch Calendar, and the Book of Jubilee Calendar false?
Do you want to know how the calendar issue became so confusing?
I got this awesome endorsement and I want to share it here now. with you.
In The Stones Cry Out, I walk you through the history of each change and why those changes came about, starting with the Maccabean days. Yes, it all began around 164 B.C. When Yehshua was here, he was dealing with two schools of thought. The Sadducees were all but wiped out when the Temple fell in 70 C.E. This left only the Pharisees, who began to be persecuted after the failure of the Bar Kochbah Revolt in 134 C.E.
The truth began to become out of focus around 160 C.E. when Rabbi Jose wrote the Seder Olam. This work originally was written to proof Simon Bar Kochbah was the Messiah. When that did not pan out the history was later revived and then redacted as the truth into the Mishneh Torah by Rabbi Judah ha Nasi in 180 C.E. After this the Jerusalem Talmud begins to debate these issues. It was then during this time as the Jerusalem Talmudist are forced to flee and the Babylonian Talmudist continue to grow until the 6th century that Hillel came up with a solution to help them keep the Holy Days at the proper time while they were out of the land of Israel. He did this in 358 C.E. This work was then modified and adjusted over the next 800 years with additions added and other rejected. Until it was finally redacted once again in 1177 by Rambam. And with that we now have the modern Hillel calendar which includes the errors passed on during each redaction. These errors included the time of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.
Once the Temple was destroyed in 70 C.E., the Jews recorded time by counting from the time It was destroyed. This is why the 40 tombstones of Zoar, which record this information, are crucial to understand.
When you understand why the Postponement rules were first created so that the crescent moon would not be seen in another part of the world before it was seen in Israel then you can understand how they were still trying to follow the crescent moon to begin the month. The Tombstones show us this exact thing. The tombstones also show us when the Jews changed from a crescent moon to a Conjunction moon to begin the month. They also show us when the Jews changed the year from the month of Aviv to the Tishri to begin the year.
I really want you to understand these things so you know why you do what you do as far as following a calendar to keep Yehovah’s moedim.

I would like to add this recent comment to encourage you all to get this book and learn these truths. And the Book is FREE. You have no reason not to get it.
Most people assume that Hillel created the calendar in 358 C.E. They then assume that because it was a Sanhedrin, they are not allowed to change in order to obey Yehovah. The Hillel calendar has been changed many times since 358 C.E. up until 1177 C.E. Few people talk about these changes but we do in our latest Book The Stones Cry Out Part 1 which is free on our website. The Hillel calendar was changed on many occasions and many sought to make other changes during this time. They never needed a Bet Din to approve those changes. They just did them. So this excuse that we do not have the right to obey Yehovah because the Bet Din has not approved it is a crock of crap.
You have the obligation to obey Yehovah. You have the duty to prove which calendar you are to go by. You must prove it beyond all doubt. Yehshua never followed the Hillel calendar. Nor did any of the Apostles.
The reason no man can know the day or the hour is because it refers to a crescent moon to begin the 7th month. That is the day He was born on and the day He comes to judge on. At a day and hour no one can know. Using the Hillel calendar predicts Yom Teruah years in advance so every one knows when to keep it. But even in the Hillel calendar they keep two days of Yom Teruah reckoning back to the sighted moon. Also in the postponement rules developed long after Hillel, they again state that if the conjunction is at a certain time then the day begins at such and such, in order that the moon will not be seen in another part of the world before it is seen in Israel. That was rule number 2.
Everyone has to choose. You have the right to be wrong. But if you choose to be wrong then you also must live with the consequences that come with sin. And that is the death penalty for not keeping the Holy Days, these Sabbath at the proper time. It is your choice.
Just because you write in to me to justify your position does mean it is right. It just means your sounding off.
Allow me to share this endorsement of our latest book again. If you have read our books, please share your thoughts about them with us in the comments below or email me.
And yes, many observe the Equinox. There are many who are deceived, improperly educated. And this is why Joe puts out a newsletter every week, why he writes books, why the SightedMoon Zoom Shabbat service started, why he travels to places like England and the Philippines to share this message and why were are going to the NRB in February. The calendar is always a divisive issue in social circles because the details are many, that’s why there are so many books Joe has written. I’m not looking to put Joe on a pedestal here. This is not about Joe worship. But Joe has tenaciously studied out the calendar from every angle, not to prove himself right, to to seek to find and share what Yehovah is telling us about His Calendar.
In The Stones Cry Out, Joe has shared the history of all the different groups within Israel, and the beliefs they had about the scriptures and the feast days and the calendar. When you line it all up, you can see for yourself the how and why these misunderstandings and arguments about how and where and why they came about.
This is my new favourite book and I’m only 60-70 pages in. And I encourage you to read the footnotes in this one. Sometimes there’s more footnote on the page than Joe’s words.
Sombra Wilson
When I wrote Stones Cry Out, I wanted it to be one of our FREE books so everyone would have it. It is more of an encyclopedia than a book to read. It will be your quick resource book; you will have access to every question about any calendar, how it got started, and who started it. You will also learn the history of how the Mishnah was assembled, when it was assembled and why. Then, you will learn how that information was transferred into both the Jerusalem and the Babylonian Talmud until it reached its final stage in the Mishneh Torah. Along with this progression, the calendar also progressed and changed long after 358 C.E. when Rabbi Hillel first published it. But…what was before the Hillel calendar? What does the Mishnah record about those things?
The Stones Cry Out was originally going to be one book explaining all the various proofs we have discovered, demonstrating when the Sabbatical and Jubilee years are throughout history.
You can know; it is not a mystery.
As I began to write The Stones Cry Out, I quickly found myself going back, time and time again, to explain how the calendar is behind the confusion of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Rabbis, as they began to write the Mishnah, incorporated wrong understandings, and those errors were written into what became known as the Talmud and then the Mishneh Torah. The expulsion from the land and subsequent persecutions in trying to send out messengers to report the barley being found or the crescent moon being seen, proved to be more and more dangerous over time. All of these things took place over 14 centuries.
Then as I was working on The Stones Cry Out, I discovered that many people were now accepting the Zadok calendar as factual. This is when we pivoted to include all the details of the various calendars that have crept back into public knowledge today and are being used to mislead new people who are just starting to learn about the calendar. All of this was directly connected to the period starting with the Hasmonaeans, up to the destruction of the Temple. Then, with the compiling of the Mishnah, the studies that led into the writing of the Jerusalem Talmud, then the Babylonian Talmud and finally the Mishneh Torah, each error that was added is compounded over time.
The Stones Cry Out, Part 1 explains the history of how each compilation of the Oral Torah incorporated errors, leading the followers thereof away from the actual Torah. In understanding these facts, it is then possible to understand more readily how the Sabbatical and Jubilee years were then mixed and later changed. By explaining all this history, I will be able to help you the reader understand the tombstones when most authorities do not. They have assumed, to their error, the Hillel calendar to have always been in use since Mount Sinai. Not understanding the history of the calendars is why most authorities dismiss the tombstones as too confusing to use. Once you understand The Stones Cry Out Part 1, Part 2 will be very easy to grasp.
Daniel 7:25 tells us he will change the appointed seasons and commandments. Many assume Constantine did this when he made Sunday the Sabbath. Few have considered the calendar’s many changes and how they relate to us today. Hidden in this proverbial swamp of confusion is the truth about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Sabbatical and Jubilee years reveal the truths about the calendar that have been hidden for almost 2000 years.
We are in the very last days and Yehshua warned us that during this time:
Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.
Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end, the same shall be kept safe.
Paul also warned Timothy about these last days, warning that some would leave the truth and begin to follow demonic teachers:
1Ti 4:1 But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
Paul again warned the Thessalonians that the Great Falling away would take place in the last days. How can you fall away if you have never come to know the truth? So who is Paul talking to? Those who are called and answer that calling begin to walk this road of restoration back to Yehovah, and then at some point along that walk, they change and leave this walk following the teachings of demons to false calendar.
2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, my brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,
2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,
2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.
We must endure until the end. We must not let ourselves become offended by personalities and leave the faith once given.

Torah Portion
Torah Portions
We read through the entire Torah along with the Prophets and the New Testament, once over the course of 3 1/2 years. Or according to the Sabbatical Cycle which means we read it all twice over a 7-year period. This allows us to cover more in-depth rather than being rushed to cover as much as is covered on an annual basis. We allow all to comment and take part in the discussions.
Septennial Torah Portion
If you go to Torah Portion in our archived section, you can then go to the 1st year, which is the 1st year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every Newsletter. There, you can scroll down to the proper date and see that this Shabbat, we could very well be midrashing about:
Leviticus 4
Jeremiah 24-25
Proverb 16
Acts 13
We are in the 1st Sabbatical Cycle in 2024-2025. We go through the entire bible twice in a 7 year cycle. This means we cover the entire bible once every 3 1/2 years. It gives us more time to debate and discuss each portion we read.
If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section, you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.
Join Our Sabbath Meetings
Join Our Sabbath Meetings
There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.
What are we doing and why do we teach this way?
We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.
The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.
Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and you and I are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.
Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.
Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.
We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.
We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s, Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.
Jas 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.
We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.
We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.
Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers, songs and teaching from this hour.
Shabbat midrash will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.
We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Yehovah also commands you to tithe 10% of your income to yourself. You can decide if it is on the gross or the net. But this is for you and your family for the Feasts. Do not neglect your tithe for your feast and do not be cheap about.
Deu 14:22 You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed that the field brings forth year by year.
Deu 14:23 And you shall eat before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose to place His name there, the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the first-born of your herds and of your flocks, so that you may learn to fear Jehovah your God always.
Deu 14:24 And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it, or if the place is too far from you, which Jehovah your God shall choose to set His name there, when Jehovah your God has blessed you,
Deu 14:25 then you shall turn it into silver and bind up the silver in your hand, and shall go to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose.
Deu 14:26 And you shall pay that silver for whatever your soul desires, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul desires. And you shall eat there before Jehovah your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household
Deu 14:27 and the Levite within your gates, you shall not forsake him, for he has no part nor inheritance with you.
Deu 14:28 At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase the same year, and shall lay it up inside your gates.
Deu 14:29 And the Levite, because he has no part nor inheritance with you, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are inside your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied, so that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.
Staring at Aviv 2026, we will begin our 3rd tithe year. Keep this in mind as we draw closer to this historic year. You do not want to be cut off because you failed to keep this commandment.
Exo 22:21 You shall neither vex a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Exo 22:22 You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child.
Exo 22:23 If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry.
Exo 22:24 And My wrath shall become hot, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall be widows, and your sons fatherless.
Exo 22:25 If you lend money to one of My people who ispoor beside you, you shall not be to him as a money-lender, neither shall you lay upon him interest.
Exo 22:26 If you at all take your neighbor’s clothing as a pledge, you shall deliver it to him by the time the sun goes down.
Exo 22:27 For that is his covering only, it is his clothing for his skin. In what shall he sleep? And it will be, when he cries to Me, I will hear, for I am gracious.
Second Update from Sombra in Kenya
Second Update from Sombra in Kenya
Today’s newsletter is focusing on not learning the ways of the foreigners, and yet it is exactly this we have been doing these last few days. Our trip here had two purposes, one was to share the message of the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles and express the importance of keeping the covenant in preparation for the end times. The other purpose was for Stuart to make connections with the Kenyan Universities and Government officials in order to bring students here on an exchange program and in time bring Kenyan Students to Canada. Everyone we have met is eager for this collaboration in order to share in the one humanity we all are part of. There is a difference though, in the idea of learning what others do vs adopting their ways. We are certainly not suggesting we adopt the ways of the foreign religions, but we have been exposed to them here.
We are back in Nairobi in our last days of our trip. Last night as we arrived back at our apartment a very loud bang shocked me. The bangs were not quite so loud in the following minutes as we realized it was a show of fireworks. I am used to fireworks display going on for about 30-40 minutes in North America, but this went on for over 2 hours, and just when you thought it was over, another round of fireworks went off. I was thinking this was in celebration of Mashujaa day, a day honouring Kenyan Heroes, like sports heroes and such. The waiter at the restaurant told us it was not related to Mashujaa day, rather it was the Indian celebration of Diwali, a Hindu celebration of lights. This morning we read that it was an unsanctioned event, and warnings and arrests may follow.
We also experienced a tour to a waterfall at the confluence of the Kathita and Tana Rivers in Tharaka Nithi. We were told the legend of the waterfall is that a man took his family and livestock to live under the waterfall, and so now when there is a lack of rain in this desert land, they go offer sacrifices in the river to ask for rain. They also listen for messages regarding whether or not to circumcise their sons.

The people who live near Kibuuka Grand Falls are facing great life changes. The government wants to put in a water dam and this whole area will be flooded meaning the fishermen and goat herders who live here will have to be relocated.
Then we visited Tharaka University, a very interesting place.

The people of Tharaka recognized they needed a University for their young people so they joined together and bought 60 acres on which to build it. In the process of building it they brought in water pipes in order to create an oasis in the desert. The water system will eventually benefit the town too and the oasis will grow. The university has provided jobs for the local population as well as bringing in a variety of wildlife for study purposes. There are soccer fields and a swimming pool and gazebos for the students to study in, and all with wifi access. As we met with the Deputy Vice Chancellor and the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Science, we all joined in the conversation. They recognized that Henry and I, though we are not Ph.D. hold a wealth of knowledge that they hoped we would also be involved in sharing with the Students. It is foreseeable that we may teach the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles to the University Students in time, that we may teach them to be prepared for the end times.
At Chuka University, the Professor who met with Stuart is a Sociologist. He opened and closed the meetings with prayer. Stuart was very impressed that this university puts faith as a priority, and that denominations do not hinder the worship of our common God. We got to meet his parents, and when his dad heard I came to Kenya to teach the Bible, he too invited me back to his home to teach, he said he would host us if we came back.

On the Sabbath, we had dinner with Henry and Cecily, their daughter Joy and their friend Mary and her little son. After we ate, we had the opportunity to again go through the blessings over the wife and the husband and the children, as well as the bread and the wine. Henry is a very learned man, he has a vast library of teachings from the WWCG/UCG and SDA. He has read them all, but once he found Joe’s material online, he realized that much of what he had been studying was of no value, and so he has turned his attention to the Torah and the teaching of the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles. Henry reached out to Joe, and began to study under him and work with Telesphore. SightedMoon.com then sponsored the building of the church/School to teach the Torah.
Henry’s church, Sponsored by SightedMoon.com
These photos are of Henry and his beautiful home. He has coffee and tea planted as a cash crop, as well as Kale, bananas, amaranth, corn, mangos, papayas, guava, uganda guava, tree tomatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, and sugar cane all which is eaten fresh from the garden or sold at market. This yellow building behind him is the church/school where I taught. The building behind Ronen is his home. The red steps lead up to the Church.

Inside the church is this beautiful banner we all know and love. The big banner was too big to put up inside the church, but I was happy to have this smaller one to refer to in the afternoon session when I presented the Fall Feasts. The people were familiar with it, but I gave it a brief overview before diving into the flip side of the Lev 23 Feast Banner.

After again presenting to Henry and his family the Shabbat Service, which I have yet to be able to upload to Youtube, I then presented to his whole congregation the New Leviticus 23 Feast Day banners. I have yet to get all 24 video clips spliced together, but for now, I hope you’ll enjoy a few minutes of my teaching from one of these clips. It was quite unnerving at the beginning to present this banner for the first time here. I had studied it at Sukkot in Kentucky, and given a mini one-on-one to a teen gal Charlotte, but had not presented the whole banner, nor the Fall Feast side, so this was all presented on a wing and a prayer!. Actually, it’s a testament to Joe and Pauline in the details that this banner presents, that this message was so completely presented. When Joe aims to “Prove All Things”, this banner leaves no stone unturned on how the Spring Feast Prophecy was fulfilled by Yeshua’s first coming, and details how his Second Coming will fulfill the Fall Feasts.
And finally, I want to share with you photos from Philemon of the children wearing their crisp new uniforms. Philemon and the whole community are so thankful for all the generosity to his community. You have all participated in changing lives. From the message of the Torah and the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles speaking of the coming End Times, to these uniforms and mattresses, not to mention how truly thankful they are that we came to visit them in person. And you’ve change Philemon. He wants to go on a speaking tour to share the message of the banners too. He, Henry and Telesphore will now have these tools to teach with across East Africa.

What is a Top?
October 20, 2025, marked the one-year anniversary of my Mom’s death. She was 87 years old in July of 2024. I was on my way to visit Mom’s grave when I read this article by Sally Cave, and it sent me down memory lane with all of the things we dealt with as Mom went down the Alzheimer’s road. We always thought it was something that happened to other people. When it hit Mom, we did not recognize it for a long time, because she covered it up so well. I want to thank Sally for allowing me to share this article and for sharing this moment in her life with all of us. Sally has been doing all of our audio recordings for each of our books here at Sightedmoon.com.
Caring for Dad on his Alzheimer’s Journey
So, grab yourself a cuppa, curl up in your favourite chair and join me as we take this journey together.

What is a top?
Getting Dad dressed and undressed is always an interesting time of the day. Sometimes, when it’s bedtime, he thinks it’s time to get up. Sometimes, when it’s morning, he thinks it’s bedtime. Such is life when someone has been diagnosed with the A word. I refuse to mention the name. Quite frankly, I don’t like how it sounds, nor the burden of connotation that comes with it.
‘Dad, come upstairs and get your pyjamas on,’ I call.
He has impeccable hearing for a 91-year-old. His voice returns to me small, as if having travelled some distance.
‘I’m a-coming,’ he says.
His ascent up the stairs is slow. He takes careful steps and grips the bannisters with the same pressure he applies to his handshake. I know it is hard for him these days as he climbs with laboured breaths, but he never complains. He’s just not wired that way.
‘Up the wooden hill,’ he says.
He finally gets to his bedroom and sits on the bed with his mouth open, lips quivering, and his eyebrows in diagonal slants pointing to the ceiling.
‘Take your slippers off, Dad.’
‘These?’ He says, pointing to his feet.
‘Yes, Dad.’
Dad isn’t quite sure what slippers are, but once he receives confirmation, he slips them off his feet with grace and precision. Even at 91, his movements are measured, perfectly timed, poetic.
‘Now, take your trousers off.’
‘My trousers?’
‘Yes, Daddy.’
Dad stands up and pulls his trousers down. He wobbles momentarily before sitting down again. I watch as he places his left foot on the edge of his right trouser leg to stop it from turning inside out. He repeats the process on the other side and only hands his trousers over to me once he is satisfied that they are not inside out.
I wish my kids would take a leaf out of his book. Even though he isn’t sure what trousers are anymore, he still ensures they are not inside out when he removes them. Some things are so ingrained in a person that they are not confined to memory; they are fused to a person’s essence. This precision executed with grace, poise and perfection is part of who Dad is. The faulty wiring of his memory has no bearing on his clothing removal techniques.
He puts his pyjama bottoms on without a hitch.
‘Now, Dad, take off your top.’
‘What’s a top?’
‘It’s what you wear on the top half of you.’
He grabs his t-shirt. ‘This?’ He says, signalling a coffee-stained white vest that should probably be chucked in the bin.
‘Yes.’
And off it goes.
It’s the same with his memory. I observe as it peels itself away layer by layer and floats off, not even taking a moment to look back at its owner. Some days, those layers return and make a guest appearance, and Dad is quite capable of holding a half-decent conversation. But those moments are fleeting, and each layer only sticks around for a short period before flitting off again.
Finally, he is ready to lie down. He leans forward and tries to put his slippers back on, but I explain to him, gently, that we do not wear slippers in bed.
He nods. ‘Oh right,’ he says. I know he’s not entirely satisfied with my explanation, but he will always accept what I say.
When I was a kid, Dad’s word was final. He always expected his word to be respected and obeyed. Dad was from a different era. My brother and I both rebelled in unique ways, something I am not proud of, but that’s another story.
The reason I am telling you this is because now that Dad has reached the ripe old age of 91, the A word has whittled him down to his essence. At the core of his being is a stoic gentleman who accepts rules unquestioningly and delights in a sense of order. He thrives on safety and structure, so when I give him an order, he accepts, nods and says,
‘Oh, right.’
Even when he doesn’t believe me.
The order is important because it places a limit on him. That is what he wants, and it works to my advantage. However, the delivery has to be just right. I speak to him gently. That is the only way I want to speak to him, even when his condition exasperates me.
‘Into bed now, Dad,’ I say, rolling back the duvet.
He gets into bed without any fuss. I tuck him in, pray over him and say goodnight.
This morning, in the Secret Place, the Holy Spirit reminded me that Dad looked after his own father in the very room where he now sleeps. Grandad suffered from the A word too. Dad would speak to him gently. Dad would tuck him in at night, and when Grandad breathed his last, Dad was there to close his eyes.
Now it’s my turn.

Honour your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
Exodus 20:12
Syncretism, the blending of Yehovah's Torah
Exposing the False Prophets
Syncretism
The Blending of Yehovah’s Torah
With Modern Deceptions
Leading Yehovah’s People Astray
Last Shabbat, we were midrashing about Jeremiah 23. I wanted to follow that up with a deeper study of this subject because it is so huge and very relevant to our times now. Syncretism is the blending of Yehovah’s Torah (the biblical law and teachings) with false or pagan doctrines. It was the thing that Israel did, causing Yehovah to divorce them for their adulterous ways. One hundred and twenty-five years later, Judah was doing the exact same thing and the prophet Jeremiah was condemning Judah for this just before the Babylonians attacked them. These very same things continue today in various forms across religious, cultural, and spiritual movements. This always dilutes or distorts the pure commandments of Yehovah, leading to practices that Yehovah condemns as idolatry or mixing (syncretism)
Deu 12:29 When Jehovah your God shall cut off the nations before you, where you go to possess them, and you take their place and dwell in their land,
Deu 12:30 take heed to yourself that you do not become snared by following them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not ask about their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods, that I too may do likewise?
Deu 12:31 You shall not do so to Jehovah your God. For every abomination to Jehovah, which He hates, they have done to their gods; even their sons and their daughters they have burned in the fire to their gods.
Deu 12:32 All the things I command you, be careful to do it. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it.
I want you to consider why Yehovah stated the next verse in the middle of Chapter 19. It seems so out of place until you think deeper about it.
Lev 19:19 You shall keep My statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with di.ferent kinds. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed. And you shall not allow clothing mixed of linen and wool to come on you.
In these perilous end times, as we walk through the unfolding of the 10 Days of Awe as prophetic years from 2024 to 2033, Yehovah’s Word rings out with urgent warnings against those who twist His truth. Jeremiah 23 stands as a thunderous rebuke to false prophets—those who claim to speak for Yehovah but lead His people into idolatry, lies, and spiritual adultery. Let us dissect this chapter verse by verse, driving home its timeless application. No room will be left for misunderstanding: these deceptions are not harmless errors but deliberate straying from Yehovah’s Torah, inviting the curses of Leviticus 26 and the judgments of Revelation.
Below is a list of modern examples, drawn from contemporary religious trends, where Torah is syncretized with false teachings. These illustrate how ancient patterns of blending (like Baal worship in Jeremiah 23:13) persist, often under the guise of “inclusivity” or “enlightenment.” Each includes a brief explanation of how the syncretism occurs.
- Christmas and Easter Celebrations in Christianity: Many Christian denominations blend Torah-observant elements (e.g., the birth and resurrection of Yehshua) with pagan festivals like Saturnalia (Roman winter solstice with gift-giving and trees) or Eostre (Germanic spring fertility rites with eggs and rabbits). This creates holidays claiming biblical roots but incorporating non-Torah symbols, leading believers to “honour” Yehovah through practices He forbids (Jeremiah 10:2-4 on trees; Deuteronomy 12:4 on pagan ways).
- Prosperity Gospel in Charismatic Movements: False teachers twist Torah blessings for obedience (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) into a “name it, claim it” doctrine, promising wealth and health through faith-seed offerings. This syncretizes Torah’s covenant promises with modern materialism and self-help philosophy, ignoring curses for disobedience (Deuteronomy 28:15-68) and promoting greed as godliness (1 Timothy 6:5).
- New Age Kabbalah and Mysticism: Popularized by figures like Madonna or online spiritualists, this mixes Torah-based Jewish mysticism (e.g., Zohar interpretations) with Eastern paganism, astrology, and crystal healing. Practitioners wear red strings for “protection” (a Kabbalistic custom) while invoking “universal energy,” blending Yehovah’s creation order (Genesis 1) with occult practices forbidden in Torah (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).
- Hebrew Roots Movement with Christian Doctrines: Some groups emphasize Torah observance (e.g., Sabbaths, feasts) but syncretize it with New Testament teachings on grace that downplay full law-keeping, or incorporate Trinitarian views not in Torah. This creates a hybrid where Yehovah’s commands (Exodus 20) are mixed with false grace licenses, leading to partial obedience akin to Samaria’s Baal blend as we discussed last Shabbat in Jeremiah 23:13).
- Santería and Yoruba Syncretism in Diaspora Communities: In Latin America and the U.S., Santería blends African Yoruba gods (orishas) with Catholic saints and occasional Torah elements (e.g., animal sacrifices echoing Leviticus, but for pagan deities). Practitioners might invoke “El Shaddai” alongside orishas, mixing Yehovah’s names (Genesis 17:1) with false gods, violating the first commandment (Exodus 20:3).
- Three Teachings Philosophy in Asian Jewish Communities: In China or diaspora settings, some blend Torah with Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism (Three Teachings), viewing Yehovah’s laws as ethical principles alongside yin-yang balance. This syncretizes Torah’s moral code (Exodus 20) with pagan dualism, diluting exclusive worship (Deuteronomy 6:4-5).
- Interfaith Movements and Universalism: Groups like the Parliament of the World’s Religions promote “shared truths” by equating Torah’s monotheism with pagan gods or New Age “source energy.” This leads to prayers mixing Yehovah’s Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4) with chants to multiple deities, fostering a one-world religion Yehovah warns against (Isaiah 2:2-4, but in purity).
- Rastafarianism’s Torah Blend: Rastafarians incorporate Torah elements (e.g., kosher-like diets, dreadlocks from Nazarite vows in Numbers 6) with African spirituality and marijuana as a “sacrament,” viewing Haile Selassie as divine. This mixes Yehovah’s laws with false messianism, straying from pure obedience.
- Manichaeism Influences in Modern Dualism: Echoing ancient blends, some esoteric groups mix Torah’s good/evil duality (Deuteronomy 30:15-19) with Manichaean ideas of physical evil vs. spiritual good, denying Torah’s holistic view of creation (Genesis 1:31).
-
Prosperity and Word of Faith in Hebrew Roots Circles: Some blend Torah’s covenant blessings with “decree and declare” teachings, treating Yehovah’s promises as magical formulas, ignoring repentance (Deuteronomy 28).
Jeremiah 23:1-4 – Woe to the Shepherds Who Scatter the Flock
Jer 23:1 Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture, says Jehovah.
Jer 23:2 Therefore so says Jehovah, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed My people, You have scattered My flock, and have driven them away, and have not visited them. Behold, I will bring on you the evil of your doings, says Jehovah.
Jer 23:3 And I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their fold. And they shall be fruitful and multiply.
Jer 23:4 And I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them. And they shall fear no more, nor be afraid; nor shall they lack anything, says Jehovah.
Jeremiah 23:5-8 – The Promise of the Righteous Branch
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do judgment and justice in the earth.
Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, JEHOVAH, OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Jer 23:7 Therefore, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that they shall no more say, Jehovah lives, who brought the sons of Israel up out of the land of Egypt;
Jer 23:8 but, Jehovah lives, who brought up and led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I have driven them. And they shall dwell in their own land.
Jeremiah 23:9-15 – Folly in Samaria’s Prophets; Wickedness in Jerusalem’s Prophets
Jer 23:9 My heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of Jehovah, and because of the Words of His holiness.
Jer 23:10 For the land is full of adulterers. Yes, because of cursing the land mourns; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their power is not right.
Jer 23:11 For both prophet and priest are ungodly; yes, in My house I have found their evil, says Jehovah.
Jer 23:12 So their way shall be to them as slippery waysin the darkness; they shall be driven on, and fall in them; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their judgment, says Jehovah.
Jer 23:13 And I have seen frivolity in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal and caused My people Israel to go astray.
Jer 23:14 I have also seen in the prophets of Jerusalem a horrible thing; they commit adultery and walk in falsehood. They also strengthen to the hands of evildoers, so that none returns from his evil; they are all of them like Sodom to Me, and its inhabitants like Gomorrah.
Jer 23:15 So Jehovah of Hosts says this concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them wormwood, and make them drink poisonous water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone forth into all the land.
1 Kings 18:21 (MKJV): “And Elijah came to all the people and said, How long will you limp between two opinions? If Jehovah is God, follow Him. But if Baal is God, then follow him.”
2 Kings 17:6-18, MKJV: “For the sons of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did. They did not depart from them until Jehovah turned Israel away from His face”.
Leviticus 25:4, MKJV: “But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest to the land”.
1 Timothy 6:10, MKJV: “For the love of money is a root of all evils”.
Leviticus 26:19-20, MKJV: “I will break the pride of your power… your land shall not yield her increase”).
Hosea 4:2 MKJV: “There is lying, and swearing, and killing, and stealing, and the committing of adultery; they break out, and blood touches blood.”
Jeremiah 23:17, MKJV: “They say still to those who despise Me, Jehovah has said, You shall have peace”
Genesis 19:24-25, MKJV: “Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of Heaven”
“Many men died because of the waters, because they were made bitter”).
Leviticus 19:2, MKJV: “You shall be holy, for I Jehovah your God am holy”). Lies come from officials downplaying threats
Jeremiah 23:16-22 – Do Not Listen to False Visions
Jer 23:16 So says Jehovah of Hosts, Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you vain; they speak a vision from their own heart, not out of the mouth of Jehovah.
Jer 23:17 They still say to those who despise Me, Jehovah has said, You shall have peace! And they say to everyone who walks after the stubbornness of his own heart, No evil shall come on you!
Jer 23:18 For who has stood in the counsel of Jehovah, and hears His Word? Who has listened to His Word and heard it?
Jer 23:19 Behold, the tempest of Jehovah has gone forth in fury, a whirling tempest. It shall whirl on the head of the wicked.
Jer 23:20 The anger of Jehovah shall not return, until He has done and until He has set up the purposes of His heart; in later days you shall understand it perfectly.
Jer 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran; I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
Jer 23:22 But if they had stood in My wisdom and had caused My people to hear My Words, then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings.
False prophets speak “visions from their own heart” (verse 16), promising “peace” to despisers (verse 17), ignoring judgment. They lack Yehovah’s counsel (verse 18), so He sends a whirlwind of anger (verses 19-20), fulfilled in Babylon’s conquest. Yehovah didn’t send them (verse 21), but true prophets would turn people from evil (verse 22).
Today, dream-claimers in charismatic circles prophesy “peace” via personal visions, blending Torah with “inner voice” false teachings, straying from tested prophecy (Deuteronomy 18:22). Interfaith leaders promise “unity” to idolaters, like verse 17. No misunderstanding: If a “vision” contradicts Torah, it’s from the heart, inviting whirlwind judgments.
Jeremiah 23:23-32 – Against Dreamers and Word-Thieves
Jer 23:23 Am I a God near, says Jehovah, and not a God afar off?
Jer 23:24 Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Jehovah. Do I not fill the heavens and earth? says Jehovah.
Jer 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, who prophesy lies in My name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? But they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,
Jer 23:27 who plot to cause My people to forget My name by their dreams which they tell, each one to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten My name for Baal.
Jer 23:28 The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says Jehovah.
Jer 23:29 Is not My Word like a fire? says Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
Jer 23:30 So Jehovah says, Behold, I am against the prophets who steal My Words each one from his neighbor.
Jer 23:31 Jehovah says, Behold, I am against the prophets who use their tongues and say, He says.
Jer 23:32 Jehovah says, Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams and tell them, and cause My people to go astray by their lies and by their lightness. Yet I did not send them nor command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all, says Jehovah.
Yehovah is omnipresent (verses 23-24), seeing false prophets who claim “I dreamed” (verse 25), deceiving from their hearts (verse 26). Their dreams cause forgetting Yehovah’s name, like Baal (verse 27). True Word is like fire/hammer (verse 29); false dreams are chaff (verse 28). Yehovah opposes word-thieves (verse 30) and “He says” liars (verse 31), who lead astray with recklessness (verse 32).
Modern dream-claimers—psychics, New Age channelers, or “prophetic” ministers—say “God showed me in a dream,” blending with Torah to justify false doctrines (e.g., dream-interpretation apps mixing Numbers 12:6 with astrology). Prosperity teachers “steal words” by selectively quoting Deuteronomy 28. Interfaith dream-sharing forgets Yehovah’s name for “universal god.” No doubt: Dreams without testing them against the Torah (Deuteronomy 13:1-5) are chaff, unprofitable, inviting destruction.
Jeremiah 23:33-40 – The Burden of False Burdens
Jer 23:33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask you, saying, What is the burden of Jehovah? You shall then say to them, What burden? I will even forsake you, says Jehovah.
Jer 23:34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, who shall say, The burden of Jehovah, I will even punish that man and his house.
Jer 23:35 So you shall say each one to his neighbor, and each one to his brother, What has Jehovah answered? And what has Jehovah spoken?
Jer 23:36 And you shall mention the burden of Jehovah no more. For every man’s word shall be his burden; for you have perverted the Words of the living God, of Jehovah of Hosts our God.
Jer 23:37 So you shall say to the prophet, What has Jehovah answered you? And what has Jehovah spoken?
Jer 23:38 But since you say, The burden of Jehovah; therefore so says Jehovah, Because you say this word; the burden of Jehovah; and I have sent to you saying, You shall not say, The burden of Jehovah;
Jer 23:39 therefore, behold, I, even I, will completely forget you, and I will forsake you and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of My presence.
Jer 23:40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach on you, and a never-ending shame, which shall not be forgotten.
Yehovah rejects “burden of Jehovah” misuse by false prophets (verse 33), punishing those who claim it (verse 34). Instead, ask “What has Jehovah answered/spoken?” (verses 35,37). Their perversion brings forgetting and shame (verses 39-40).Today, “burden” claimers—like “prophetic words” in conferences—pervert Torah by adding “Yehovah told me” to false teachings (e.g., dream-based prosperity). Interfaith “burdens” blend with pagan burdens. No ambiguity: Misusing Yehovah’s name brings everlasting reproach—exile and shame, like Judah’s fall (586 BC).Expanded List of Modern Syncretism: Straying from YehovahDrawing from Jeremiah 23, here’s an expanded list of how Torah is blended with false teachings today, showing how far many have strayed. Each includes biblical proof from MKJV, driving home the deception.
- Christmas and Easter in Christianity: Blends Torah’s feasts with pagan Saturnalia/Eostre (trees, eggs; Jeremiah 10:2-4 MKJV: “Thus says Jehovah, Do not learn the way of the nations”). Straying: Replaces Sukkot/Passover with sun god rites, forgetting Yehovah’s appointed times (Leviticus 23:2 MKJV: “These are the appointed feasts of Jehovah”).
- Prosperity Gospel in Charismatic Movements: Twists blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-14 MKJV: “If you shall carefully listen to the voice of Jehovah your God”) into guaranteed wealth, ignoring curses (Deuteronomy 28:15 MKJV: “But if you will not listen”). Straying: Prophesies “peace” to evildoers (Jeremiah 23:17 MKJV), leading to greed over repentance.
- New Age Kabbalah and Mysticism: Mixes Zohar with crystals/astrology (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 MKJV: “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son… pass through the fire, or that uses divination”). Straying: Claims “visions from own heart” (Jeremiah 23:16 MKJV), forgetting Yehovah’s exclusive revelation (Deuteronomy 4:2 MKJV: “You shall not add to the Word”).
- Hebrew Roots with Christian Doctrines: Keeps Sabbaths but adds Trinitarianism or grace-over-law (Exodus 20:3 MKJV: “You shall have no other gods before Me”). Straying: Like Samaria’s Baal blend (Jeremiah 23:13 MKJV), causes astray by partial truth (Matthew 5:19 MKJV: “Whoever shall break one of these least commandments… shall be called least in the kingdom”).
- Santería and Yoruba Syncretism: Blends orishas with saints/Torah sacrifices (Leviticus 17:7 MKJV: “They shall no more offer their sacrifices to goat demons”). Straying: Commits spiritual adultery (Jeremiah 23:14 MKJV), honoring false gods beside Yehovah.
- Three Teachings Philosophy in Asian Communities: Torah ethics with yin-yang/Buddhism (Deuteronomy 6:4 MKJV: “Jehovah our God is one Jehovah”). Straying: Walks in falsehood (Jeremiah 23:14 MKJV), diluting monotheism with dualism.
- Interfaith Movements and Universalism: Equates Yehovah with all gods (Isaiah 45:5 MKJV: “I am Jehovah, and there is none else”). Straying: Prophesies lies (Jeremiah 23:25 MKJV), forgetting Yehovah’s name for “universal” burdens (Jeremiah 23:27 MKJV).
- Rastafarianism’s Torah Blend: Nazarite vows (Numbers 6:5 MKJV: “No razor shall come on his head”) with marijuana idolatry. Straying: Speaks own heart visions (Jeremiah 23:16 MKJV), perverting holiness.
- Manichaean Influences in Dualism: Torah good/evil (Deuteronomy 30:15 MKJV: “Life and good, death and evil”) with physical “evil.” Straying: Strengthens evildoers (Jeremiah 23:14 MKJV), denying Yehovah’s creation (Genesis 1:31 MKJV: “Very good”).
- Word of Faith in Roots Circles: Decrees as prophecy (Deuteronomy 18:22 MKJV: “If the thing does not follow nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah has not spoken”). Straying: “I dreamed” falsehoods (Jeremiah 23:25 MKJV), ignoring testing.
- Dream-Claimers in Charismatic/Prophetic Groups: Claim “God showed me in a dream” without Torah alignment (Numbers 12:6 MKJV: “I will speak to him in a dream”). Straying: Causes forgetting Yehovah’s name (Jeremiah 23:27 MKJV), blending with Baal-like visions.
- Astrology in Messianic Circles: Torah signs (Genesis 1:14 MKJV: “For signs and seasons”) with zodiac predictions. Straying: Folly like Samaria (Jeremiah 23:13 MKJV), leading astray.
- Environmentalism as Torah “Stewardship”: Genesis 1:28 (MKJV: “Subdue the earth”) blended with Gaia worship. Straying: Adultery with creation idols (Jeremiah 23:14 MKJV).
- Yoga/Meditation with Prayer: Torah meditation (Joshua 1:8 MKJV: “Meditate day and night”) with Eastern chakras. Straying: Walks in falsehood (Jeremiah 23:14 MKJV), perverting focus on Yehovah.
- Halloween/Thanksgiving Syncretism: Harvest feasts (Sukkot, Leviticus 23:39 MKJV: “Feast to Jehovah seven days”) with pagan Samhain. Straying: Baal-like appeasement (Jeremiah 23:13 MKJV), forgetting Yehovah’s name.
Drive home: Each blending causes straying, inviting judgment. Test all by Torah (Isaiah 8:20 MKJV: “If they do not speak according to this Word, no light in them”).Conclusion: Return to Yehovah’s Pure WordJeremiah 23 exposes false prophets as heart-deceivers, dream-liars, and Baal-blenders, scattering the flock. Today, syncretism does the same, leading to the falling away. As 2026 nears, repent—cling to Torah, reject mixtures. Yehovah’s Word is fire (Jeremiah 23:29 MKJV); let it refine you. Shalom.

Diwali: A Hindu Festival Rooted in Paganism
Diwali, or Deepavali, is India’s “Festival of Lights,” celebrated from October 20 to October 24, 2025, with the main day on October 21 (per Britannica, 15th ed., vol. 5, p. 876). Known as the “row of lamps” (Sanskrit: D?p?val?), it involves lighting clay lamps (diyas) filled with oil to signify good over evil, welcoming the goddess Lakshmi (wealth) and honouring figures like Rama or Krishna. Britannica details its five days:
- Dhanteras: New financial year; lamps lit for prosperity.
- Naraka Chaturdasi: Krishna/Satyabhama defeats the demon Naraka.
- Amavasya: Worship of Lakshmi on the new moon.
- Kartika Shudda Padyami: Bali’s banishment to Patala by Vishnu.
- Yama Dvitiya (Bhai Dooj): Sisters honour brothers.
“At the times when they gather together at the city of Sais for their sacrifices, on a certain night they all kindle lamps many in number in the open air round about the houses; now the lamps are saucers full of salt and oil mixed, and the wick floats by itself on the surface, and this burns during the whole night; and to the festival is given the name Lychnocaia (“Lamp Lighting”). Moreover those of the Egyptians who have not come to this solemn assembly observe the night of the festival and themselves also light lamps all of them, and thus not in Sais alone are they lighted, but over all Egypt: and as to the reason why light and honour are allotted to this night, about this there is a sacred story told.” —Herodotus, Histories, Book II, Chapter 62
Deu 12:1 These are the statutes and judgments which you shall be careful to do in the land which Jehovah, the God of your fathers gives you to possess it, all the days that you live upon the earth. 2 You shall completely destroy all the places in which the nations which you shall possess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. 3 And you shall overthrow their altars and break their pillars, and burn their pillars with fire. And you shall cut down the carved images of their gods, and destroy their names out of that place. 4 You shall not do so to Jehovah your God. 5 But you shall seek to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, even to His dwelling place you shall seek, and there you shall come.
Mat 7:16 You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruits, nor can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you shall know them. 21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? 23 And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness! 24 Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
