Why is Unleavened Bread only 7 days and not 8?

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shalom to The Royal Family of Yehovah,

Again I am going to share with you the commandments for the Sabbatical year, maybe each week until you have it memorized. The Sabbatical year began with the sighting of the moon on the evening of March 10, 2016.

1)  Do not plant

2) Do not harvest

Lev 25:3  You shall sow your field six years, and you shall prune your vineyard six years, and gather in the fruit of it. 4  But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest to the land, a sabbath for Jehovah. You shall neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard. 5  You shall not reap that which grows of its own accord of your harvest, neither gather the grapes of your undressed vine. It is a year of rest to the land.

3) You can eat what grows on it’s own.

Lev 25:6  And the sabbath of the land shall be food for you, for you and for your servant, and for your slave woman and for your hired servant, and for your stranger who stays with you, 7  and for your cattle, and for the beast that is in your land, shall all the increase of it be for food.

4) Stock up on food in the 6th year.

Lev 25:20  And if you shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow nor gather in our increase! 21  Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

5) Forgive any debts people owed to you by Sukkot.

Deu 15:1  At the end of every seven years you shall make a release. 2  And this is the manner of the release. Every man who has a loan to his neighbor shall release it. He shall not exact it from his neighbor, or from his brother, because it is called Jehovah’s release. 3  You may exact it from a foreigner, but your hand shall release that which is yours with your brother,

6) Read the Torah Out Loud at Sukkot so all can hear it being read.

Deu 31:10  And Moses commanded them, saying: At the end of seven years, at the set time of the year of release, in the Feast of Tabernacles, 11  when all Israel has come to appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose, you shall read this Law before all Israel in their hearing. 12  Gather the people, men and women and the little ones, and your stranger who is within your gates, so that they may hear and that they may learn and fear Jehovah your God, and be careful to do all the words of this Law, 13 andthat their sons who have not known may hear and learn to fear Jehovah your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over Jordan to possess it.

I am making plans to go to Israel and do this again this year. If you want to come, begin to set aside your funds so you can go. I will have more details in the weeks to come. But remember it is a Sabbatical year. Keep this in mind as you travel.

“In the Mail”

Oh my gosh! What crazy weather!

I am happy to hear the fog from your brain fart lifted and you remembered to pray! 🙂
I wanted to thank you for all the work you are doing to help guide all of us.
I am new to all this and I don’t know how I would have been able to accomplish what I have, had you not been so humble and generous of your time in teaching us all what you have come to learn.
I am a single mom of two teen boys (stubborn boys…) who have been so engrossed in church over the last 4 years.
It was hard for me at first to get them to listen to what was definitely opposite from what their Christian school and youth leaders teach them.
It does help that our pastor turned his back on me and bared false witness against me… I had witnesses and my boys have heard about all this.
Additionally, as my son puts it, I make them stay home on the Sabbath to listen to your’s and Erik Bissell’s teaching videos.
My eldest just told me he was finding everything your videos are teaching, interesting and cause to pause and listen… YEAH!!!!!
Anyway, we were all brought to tears during the foot washing ceremony and prayers.
I am so grateful I am able to teach my sons in the way that they are to go.
Last night I cooked a lamb dinner (my son couldn’t believe I cook such good food… brat).
I want to let you know that if you come to Calgary, please let me know. We would love to help you get the word out.
I have lots of speaking experience and may be of help to you.
If you ever want to talk about doing an event here please contact me… I am in!.
Shalom,
Candi

We have one more follow up on the barley being aviv for March 27, 2016. Many of us have come to rely on Nehemiah Gordon. So these other two reports that claimed the barley would be aviv for wave sheaf day on March 27, 2016 were very troubling to many people because they did not agree with the report Nehemiah Gordon made. Some groups decided to go with the other two reports because Nehemiah does not believe in Jesus or Yehshua. If that is how you base your decision then shame on you.

Nehemiah says we must have barley by the end of the 12th month to declare the month Aviv. If it is not aviv at the end of the 12th month then adar bet is declared and this is what he has said. Others and myself included believe we need to have barley BY the wave sheaf day. All three reports including Nehemiah said that there would indeed be barley by the wave sheaf day of March 27, 2016. This is why I declared this the start of the 3rd Sabbatical year. I had three reports that all agreed that the barley would be aviv by March 27.

I have the utmost respect for Nehemiah and to his credit without being asked by me, he has gone out on wave sheaf day, March 27, 2016 and reported on the state of the barley. And he has stated publicly that the barley was indeed aviv and already reseeding itself. He then goes on to state again his position that it was not aviv at the start of the month and he maintains his position that the Passover is going to be in April. You can watch this short video at this link. Again make up your own minds based on the facts and not on anyone’s emotions.

Throughout this entire past three weeks, when a number of “brethren” were trying to find fault with me and the other groups, even to the point of slandering our names and credibility or doing the same to Nehemiah, Nehemiah and I had an ongoing discussion going and it was very civil and we remain good friends. I have not reported to you any of the private conversations we have had because they were private. But he has said this publicly about me and I feel I can share it with you all.

Nehemia Gordon May Yehovah bless you for your desire for the truth! Although we may disagree, I respect your authentic desire to serve our Creator. And Chag Sameach to all those celebrating Passover whenever they observe it based on the best of their understanding with prayer and study with fear and trembling before Yehovah!

And I second this prayer to all of you. May Yehovah bless you in your authentic desire to serve Yehovah and may you do so based on the understanding you have, to the best of your ability with fear and trembling as you go to meet Him at His appointed times. May you all stop the lashon harah that some want to do and repent and just serve Yehovah.

As for Sightedmoon.com we have concluded from all the reports provided and another 1/2 dozen private reports from Israel, that Passover was March 24, 2016. We have also concluded again based on these reports and nothing else that the Sabbatical year began on March 11, 2016. That being said I have listed the following dates below so you can plan out your year and take the proper days off:

  1. Feast of Passover and the first day of Unleavened bread – begins at evening Friday March 25, 2016. (The 7th day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is March 31, 2016.)
  2. Shavuot (Pentecost) – begins at evening Sunday May 15, 2016.
“All of these fall dates below are dependant upon the moon being sighted Friday evening September 2, 2016.
  3. Feast of Trumpets – begins at evening Saturday Sept 3, 2016
  4. Atonement (Yom Kippur) – begins at evening Monday September 12, 2016
  5. Feast of Sukkot – begins at evening Saturday September 17, 2016.
  6. 8th day Feast – begins at eveningSaturday September 24, 2016

This will be a hard moon to sight as you can see on this site. So prepare for each of the Holy Days to be one day later as we just do not know until that very day when the moon is sighted. This year is a training year for all of us. Are you willing to be trained by Yehovah and follow Him, or have you already reverted to the Hebrew Calendar with all of its predictable dates?

We are also working on a tour for Israel this Sukkot. If you want to be a part of this Sabbatical tour in Israel then start to set your funding aside for it. We hope to have details for you in the next few weeks.

Why do we keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread for 7 days?  Why do we keep Sukkot for 7 days and then keep the 8th day? Why are there 7 Sabbaths when we count the Omer and then on the 8th day we keep the 50th day? Why do we have 7 days of purification for the unclean followed by the 8th day?

The answer to these questions and many more are found in our teaching we did in the Philippines last Sukkot.  It has some audio problems and has not been edited, but overall is very good. I encourage you to listen to the 3 1/2 hour teaching this High Shabbat in order to learn why Unleavened Bread has only 7 days and Sukkot is made up of 8 days. We are going to show you how to connect the dots and understand the plan of Yehovah which He reveals through His Feasts.

During this week of the Exodus, I wanted to also share with you the evidence showing you the chariot wheels found under the Red Sea.
