Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,
Shabbat Shalom to you all.
The Feast of Trumpets was very exciting as we all waited for it to be determined by two witnesses. Very exciting. We posted that information to you all on Monday. Now we are caught up with the Day of Atonement and this Sabbath of Shuva that we are now observing. This means this Newsletter has an abundance of articles and teachings to explain all that is happening and what they all mean. For our new brethren, I pack this as full as I can. I make no apologies. For our long-time brethren, you should be familiar with these things, but this is the time of year to refresh our understanding.
I am heading out after the Day of Atonement for Sukkot. After that, you may not have a newsletter for a couple of weeks as I party it up with the brethren. We will see. So if one does not come, May You have a Great Feast wherever you are. If you are alone, take the time to visit something you wouldn’t normally do like a museum. Go out with the spouse and friends for a nice meal or the theatre. During Sukkot, no matter where you are, you are commanded to be joyful, so keep that command before our King. If you are with an unconverted mate, then find a surprise or two you can do for them. A couple of special meals. A night out. Again a movie. do something nice for someone else.
I used to usher at our Sukkot services when we had 6000 people in one arena. I met many people and found numerous opportunities to do small things for them. It was awesome. The more I served, the more I was blessed. So I encourage you to do something similar for others during this time and be Joyful.
I have also left the article in there from last week and the video about why we are keeping the Holy Days one month before everyone else. We are not early, they are all just late.
After Sukkot, I will be speaking in three assemblies in PA., NJ, and NY. If you would like to have me come to your assembly, then contact Fayveh on this flyer.
Your Support Helps
Last week, I sent an email to all those supporting this work, notifying them of our progress on A Lion Rises Up; and The Coming of Apollyon. If you are currently supporting this work and did not get the email, check your spam folders. If you are supporting this work financially each month and did not get the email, then write and let’s see what happened. To be included on this priority list, you must become a monthly supporter.
Everyone who supports this work is entitled to get all of our PDFs and audiobooks from SightedMoon as our way of thanking you. I am going to give you once again the Selichot prayers that were done during this time. I should have done it last week. I’m sorry. I do seem to be saying that a lot lately.
I am asking those of you who are not supporters to start now by donating just $10-$20 per month. If just 1000 of you would do that each month for the next year, the difference we could make in the Philippines and elsewhere. I have already had to pass on a number of things because we did not have the funding.
All of us see the sword coming. We are all collectively the watchman spoken of in Ezekiel 33. We all have a responsibility to warn those who do not know what is coming and to wake up the sleeping 10 virgins.
Ezk 33:1 And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
Ezk 33:2 Son of man, speak to the sons of your people, and say to them: When I bring the sword on it, on a land, and take one man from the people of the land, of their borders, and set him for their watchman;
Ezk 33:3 if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people,
Ezk 33:4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword does come and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head.
Ezk 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning. His blood shall be on himself. But he who takes warning shall deliver his soul.
Ezk 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming, and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned; if the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity. But I will require his blood at the watchman’s hand.
Ezk 33:7 And you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore you shall hear the Word from My mouth, and warn them from Me.
Ezk 33:8 When I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die; if you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked one shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.
Ezk 33:9 But, if you warn the wicked of his way, to turn from it; if he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.
I may be the one speaking and moving from place to place, but this ministry is comprised of those on our executive team, those who debate with me on Shabbat, those who pray for this work every day, and those who support this work financially. It takes all of us together to do this work. Not everyone can do what James does to maintain the site. That is his job.
You all can see what I am trying to do and who I am trying to reach. It will require funding to accomplish some of it. It will take prayers to open certain doors to other parts of this work. I do not ask for your tithes, but I do ask for your support. If those teachings you have learned here at SightedMoon.com have blessed you, then please consider supporting those who are working to help you grow spiritually.
Neh 13:10 And I saw that the portions of the Levites had not been given to them; for the Levites and the singers, who did the work, had fled each one to his field.
Neh 13:11 And I contended with the rulers and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together and set them in their place.
Neh 13:12 And all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil into the treasuries.
Neh 13:13 And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah. And next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah. For they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute to their brothers.
Neh 13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds which I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices of it.
I pray to Yehovah that You will not blot out our work. I pray that Yehovah will cause it to be shared now in these last days and throughout the 7th millennium, to teach people about the Jubilee cycles and how this understanding helps them to understand prophecy, both now and again at the end of the 7th millennium. I pray Father Yehovah that you will rain down a blessing on each person supporting this work at this time. Protect them and their families from the sword that is coming. I pray, Father, you will weigh heavily on those who do not or will not support this work in any way. I pray, Father, for your help in my old age, to strengthen me and give me great health to do all that must be done in waking up both the foolish and the wise. Help us complete this work. Find us all busy at our stations and not asleep as some, which you, as that Thief in the Night, will now find. Please, Father, bless us as we do this work.
Torah Portion
Torah Portions
We read through the entire Torah along with the Prophets and the New Testament, once over the course of 3 1/2 years. Or according to the Sabbatical Cycle which means we read it all twice over a 7-year period. This allows us to cover more in-depth rather than being rushed to cover as much as is covered on an annual basis. We allow all to comment and take part in the discussions.
Septennial Torah Portion
If you go to Torah Portion in our archived section, you can then go to the 1st year, which is the 1st year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every Newsletter. There, you can scroll down to the proper date and see that this Shabbat, we could very well be midrashing about:
Exodus 35
Jeremiah 3-4
Proverb 7
Acts 5
We are in the 1st Sabbatical Cycle in 2024-2025. We go through the entire bible twice in a 7 year cycle. This means we cover the entire bible once every 3 1/2 years. It gives us more time to debate and discuss each portion we read.
If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section, you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.
It Was A Riddle Not A Command
It Was A Riddle Not A Command
Listen to this Podcast discussing one of Joseph’s most popular books.
You Can Learn the Secret Meaning of:
No One Knows the Day of the Hour
Why does no One Know When Jesus was born?
When Does the Thief in the Night Come?
Why Are the Foolish Virgins Rejected?
No One Knows The Day or The Hour is a Hebrew idiom or parable.
Jesus spoke in parables to conceal His message which He later explained to the Apostles.
No One Knows The Day or the Hour is telling you the very day He will come back on!
The exact opposite to what you thought it said!
This is the very same day when He first came.
The Book of Revelation Tells you the very day and hour He was born.
You are given clues in Revelation about the thief that comes in the night, about being caught naked and ashamed. All of these clues tell you about the very day He is coming back.
Paul wrote to the Thessalonians telling them they had no need to write them about the Day of the Lord
FOR THEY KNEW FULL WELL THE MOEDIM!!!
Knowing the Moedim shows you the Day and Hour No Man Can Know.
We are also told about the Two Witnesses in the Book of Revelation…
What revelations do the Two Witnesses show you about the birth of Jesus?
There was a heavenly Host praising God when Jesus was born.
This, too, tells you the Day He was born.
Are you aware that the 5 Foolish Virgins did not understand what the Thief in the Night was?
Do You?
All these questions and so much more are explained in detail.
It was a Riddle for us to figure out.
It was not a command that we could not know.
We can KNOW.
YOU Can Know!
Thoroughly researched and profoundly significant!
5.0 out of 5 stars
There just isn’t a better book on Christian prophecy than this! What an eye opener!
Of the many books and articles that I have read on prophecy in my personal search for truth, this is the only one that does not rely on old ideas that were developed hundreds of years ago when knowledge was minimal. So much more has been learned through historical and archeological research. The world has changed so much that before now no one could have clearly envisioned how prophecy might play out.
I think the average Christian doesn’t realize that recent developments in technology and huge increases in knowledge offer us a unique opportunity to raise the veil so that we might see clearly what was once hidden behind a dark glass.
After learning about these things and seriously considering the Bible, with a willingness to set aside my traditional beliefs about prophecy, I have come to the conclusion that this book is inspired by God. Mr. Dumond presents compelling information that overturns long held assumptions and unverified beliefs making the entire body of prophetic knowledge fully accessible. As a matter of fact I think that just about anyone with no previous knowledge of the Bible would understand things that scholars have devoted their lives to explaining.
I would like everyone to know what is being shown in the pages of this book. No serious truth seeker should pass up the opportunity to have their eyes opened through its revelations. I believe it is the most important book ever written,- next to the Bible itself.
Thank you Joseph Dumond.

East Coast Prophecy Tour 2025
One lady, a newsletter reader and occasional zoom midrash participator, took it upon herself to begin contact other assemblies and churches in order to have me come and present our banners to them. She has organized three so far. I am going to go and teach them the Jubilee message. Many of you could do a similar thing if you want to. Here is her story.
Hello, My name is Fayvah Steffie from Pennsylvania and I am part of The East Coast Prophecy Tour.
With all of us gearing in to the end times and seasons; Anita Diltz and I did a book club and our first launch was The Stones Cry Out Part 1.
It was a blast of information! I am in great anticipation in reading Part 2 about the Tombstones!!! If you want to know the truth of some things – read these books! I have been dumbfounded about the jubilee cycles- never understood why we don’t know. Well now I do understand these cycles after reading Joe Dumond’s book.
Many things happened to bring this truth about in my life and a vision. I went on a trip to Greece in May with Joshua Aaron that was amazing.
Walking in Greece – 2 things – It felt like I was walking with Y’Shua in Paul’s steps! But the realty of it was and the most explanatory is that we are all like the fictional Indiana Jones daring expeditions in today’s antisemitic world.
Every year as a follower of Y’Shua I ask Him what event do you want me to do and I pray.
This year after finishing up the book club I asked? How can we further this truth in what we learned?
Ok here we go; let’s get the show on the road!
My goal is to keep all the groups intertwined but yet each one is distinct in their own practices for the Glory of Yah!
We are in this together and together we shall stand!
May the truth go out on this tour and even the last gentile come in. We give all the glory to Abbah Father.
Blessings
Fayvah Steffie
Yes, we are going to be doing this one in both Spanish and English. Help us share the information and contact Fayvah if want to consider having me come to your assembly and present this information. All you have to do is feed me.

A big thanks to our very first underwriter of the podcast. Joseph Dumond is an international speaker. He teaches the ancient roots of the Gaelic people at Sightedmoon.com.
You’ll hear me mention him in each episode of the podcast at the end of the show. This is not exactly advertising. It’s awareness promotion. I have no more than four more slots available every month if you, your business or your band want to be mentioned as an underwriter of the podcast.
The Stones Cry Out Part 1 & Part 2
The Stones Cry Out Part 1 & Part 2
Do you want to know how to prove the Zadok Calendar, the Enoch Calendar, and the Book of Jubilee Calendar false?
Do you want to know how the calendar issue became so confusing?
I got this awesome endorsement and I want to share it here now. with you.
In The Stones Cry Out, I walk you through the history of each change and why those changes came about, starting with the Maccabean days. Yes, it all began around 164 B.C. When Yehshua was here, he was dealing with two schools of thought. The Sadducees were all but wiped out when the Temple fell in 70 C.E. This left only the Pharisees, who began to be persecuted after the failure of the Bar Kochbah Revolt in 134 C.E.
The truth began to become out of focus around 160 C.E. when Rabbi Jose wrote the Seder Olam. This work originally was written to proof Simon Bar Kochbah was the Messiah. When that did not pan out the history was later revived and then redacted as the truth into the Mishneh Torah by Rabbi Judah ha Nasi in 180 C.E. After this the Jerusalem Talmud begins to debate these issues. It was then during this time as the Jerusalem Talmudist are forced to flee and the Babylonian Talmudist continue to grow until the 6th century that Hillel came up with a solution to help them keep the Holy Days at the proper time while they were out of the land of Israel. He did this in 358 C.E. This work was then modified and adjusted over the next 800 years with additions added and other rejected. Until it was finally redacted once again in 1177 by Rambam. And with that we now have the modern Hillel calendar which includes the errors passed on during each redaction. These errors included the time of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.
Once the Temple was destroyed in 70 C.E., the Jews recorded time by counting from the time It was destroyed. This is why the 40 tombstones of Zoar, which record this information, are crucial to understand.
When you understand why the Postponement rules were first created so that the crescent moon would not be seen in another part of the world before it was seen in Israel then you can understand how they were still trying to follow the crescent moon to begin the month. The Tombstones show us this exact thing. The tombstones also show us when the Jews changed from a crescent moon to a Conjunction moon to begin the month. They also show us when the Jews changed the year from the month of Aviv to the Tishri to begin the year.
I really want you to understand these things so you know why you do what you do as far as following a calendar to keep Yehovah’s moedim.

I would like to add this recent comment to encourage you all to get this book and learn these truths. And the Book is FREE. You have no reason not to get it.
Most people assume that Hillel created the calendar in 358 C.E. They then assume that because it was a Sanhedrin, they are not allowed to change in order to obey Yehovah. The Hillel calendar has been changed many times since 358 C.E. up until 1177 C.E. Few people talk about these changes but we do in our latest Book The Stones Cry Out Part 1 which is free on our website. The Hillel calendar was changed on many occasions and many sought to make other changes during this time. They never needed a Bet Din to approve those changes. They just did them. So this excuse that we do not have the right to obey Yehovah because the Bet Din has not approved it is a crock of crap.
You have the obligation to obey Yehovah. You have the duty to prove which calendar you are to go by. You must prove it beyond all doubt. Yehshua never followed the Hillel calendar. Nor did any of the Apostles.
The reason no man can know the day or the hour is because it refers to a crescent moon to begin the 7th month. That is the day He was born on and the day He comes to judge on. At a day and hour no one can know. Using the Hillel calendar predicts Yom Teruah years in advance so every one knows when to keep it. But even in the Hillel calendar they keep two days of Yom Teruah reckoning back to the sighted moon. Also in the postponement rules developed long after Hillel, they again state that if the conjunction is at a certain time then the day begins at such and such, in order that the moon will not be seen in another part of the world before it is seen in Israel. That was rule number 2.
Everyone has to choose. You have the right to be wrong. But if you choose to be wrong then you also must live with the consequences that come with sin. And that is the death penalty for not keeping the Holy Days, these Sabbath at the proper time. It is your choice.
Just because you write in to me to justify your position does mean it is right. It just means your sounding off.
Allow me to share this endorsement of our latest book again. If you have read our books, please share your thoughts about them with us in the comments below or email me.
And yes, many observe the Equinox. There are many who are deceived, improperly educated. And this is why Joe puts out a newsletter every week, why he writes books, why the SightedMoon Zoom Shabbat service started, why he travels to places like England and the Philippines to share this message and why were are going to the NRB in February. The calendar is always a divisive issue in social circles because the details are many, that’s why there are so many books Joe has written. I’m not looking to put Joe on a pedestal here. This is not about Joe worship. But Joe has tenaciously studied out the calendar from every angle, not to prove himself right, to to seek to find and share what Yehovah is telling us about His Calendar.
In The Stones Cry Out, Joe has shared the history of all the different groups within Israel, and the beliefs they had about the scriptures and the feast days and the calendar. When you line it all up, you can see for yourself the how and why these misunderstandings and arguments about how and where and why they came about.
This is my new favourite book and I’m only 60-70 pages in. And I encourage you to read the footnotes in this one. Sometimes there’s more footnote on the page than Joe’s words.

When I wrote Stones Cry Out, I wanted it to be one of our FREE books so everyone would have it. It is more of an encyclopedia than a book to read. It will be your quick resource book; you will have access to every question about any calendar, how it got started, and who started it. You will also learn the history of how the Mishnah was assembled, when it was assembled and why. Then, you will learn how that information was transferred into both the Jerusalem and the Babylonian Talmud until it reached its final stage in the Mishneh Torah. Along with this progression, the calendar also progressed and changed long after 358 C.E. when Rabbi Hillel first published it. But…what was before the Hillel calendar? What does the Mishnah record about those things?
The Stones Cry Out was originally going to be one book explaining all the various proofs we have discovered, demonstrating when the Sabbatical and Jubilee years are throughout history.
You can know; it is not a mystery.
As I began to write The Stones Cry Out, I quickly found myself going back, time and time again, to explain how the calendar is behind the confusion of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Rabbis, as they began to write the Mishnah, incorporated wrong understandings, and those errors were written into what became known as the Talmud and then the Mishneh Torah. The expulsion from the land and subsequent persecutions in trying to send out messengers to report the barley being found or the crescent moon being seen, proved to be more and more dangerous over time. All of these things took place over 14 centuries.
Then as I was working on The Stones Cry Out, I discovered that many people were now accepting the Zadok calendar as factual. This is when we pivoted to include all the details of the various calendars that have crept back into public knowledge today and are being used to mislead new people who are just starting to learn about the calendar. All of this was directly connected to the period starting with the Hasmonaeans, up to the destruction of the Temple. Then, with the compiling of the Mishnah, the studies that led into the writing of the Jerusalem Talmud, then the Babylonian Talmud and finally the Mishneh Torah, each error that was added is compounded over time.
The Stones Cry Out, Part 1 explains the history of how each compilation of the Oral Torah incorporated errors, leading the followers thereof away from the actual Torah. In understanding these facts, it is then possible to understand more readily how the Sabbatical and Jubilee years were then mixed and later changed. By explaining all this history, I will be able to help you the reader understand the tombstones when most authorities do not. They have assumed, to their error, the Hillel calendar to have always been in use since Mount Sinai. Not understanding the history of the calendars is why most authorities dismiss the tombstones as too confusing to use. Once you understand The Stones Cry Out Part 1, Part 2 will be very easy to grasp.
Daniel 7:25 tells us he will change the appointed seasons and commandments. Many assume Constantine did this when he made Sunday the Sabbath. Few have considered the calendar’s many changes and how they relate to us today. Hidden in this proverbial swamp of confusion is the truth about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Sabbatical and Jubilee years reveal the truths about the calendar that have been hidden for almost 2000 years.
We are in the very last days and Yehshua warned us that during this time:
Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.
Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end, the same shall be kept safe.
Paul also warned Timothy about these last days, warning that some would leave the truth and begin to follow demonic teachers:
1Ti 4:1 But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
Paul again warned the Thessalonians that the Great Falling away would take place in the last days. How can you fall away if you have never come to know the truth? So who is Paul talking to? Those who are called and answer that calling begin to walk this road of restoration back to Yehovah, and then at some point along that walk, they change and leave this walk following the teachings of demons to false calendar.
2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, my brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,
2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,
2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.
We must endure until the end. We must not let ourselves become offended by personalities and leave the faith once given.

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.
What are we doing and why do we teach this way?
We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.
The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.
Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and you and I are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.
Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.
Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.
We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.
We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s, Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.
Jas 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.
We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.
We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.
Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers, songs and teaching from this hour.
Shabbat midrash will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.
We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Feast days of the 7th Month
Feast days of the 7th Month
We are now just 15 days away from the Feast of Trumpets and the start of the Fall Holy Day season. Are you READY??? Here is our link to all the Holy Days for the remainder of the year. Sunday, August 24, after the sun has set, the moon might be visible. However, because it is so low on the horizon, it may not be visible, so you will need to plan your time off for either Monday or Tuesday. And that goes for each of the Holy Days. We will not know until we have two witnesses. Two Witnesses who see the moon from the land of Israel. Seeing it in another part of the world, although nice, does not count. One person in Israel does not count, even if they have a camera picture to prove it. You need to have physical human beings to see the moon, so that we have two witnesses.
This also means that travelers should be cautious about their travel plans to avoid forcing someone else to work on a High Holy Day, such as flying a plane, serving a meal, or pumping gas. No one is to work on the Sabbath or High Days. You hiring them for a service makes you as guilty as they are for breaking the Sabbath. I have seen too many people suffer harm or an awful Feast when they fly on the Holy Days or travel by plane, bus, taxi, and hotel check-ins on the Sabbath, Yom Kippur, or Shemini Atzeret. Please don’t be one of those people this year. Leave early. Stay later than the 8th day. Plan. Plan. Plan your travel and adjust it when you make a mistake. If it costs you, then that is a $300 learning lesson you just paid for. I have changed flights in the past when I made a mistake. You do not leave on the Sabbath or land on the Sabbath. Give yourself some room for delays or other problems. No Excuses! Just don’t do it!
Exo 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work.
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Jehovah your God. You shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger within your gates.
Exo 20:11 For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and sanctified it.
Exo 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
Obeying the Sabbaths is about Honouring our Father, Yehovah. This is why I include it with the 4th commandment.
Next New Moon
Once again, you get to live out in real life the Hebrew expression of why no man can know the day or the hour.
This year we have been tested once again about the calendar as to when the Barley would be Aviv, when the wheat would be ready to be harvested for first fruits and when the harvest of the grapes would be according to the 9th of Av. And on every occasion, we have been shown by Yehovah that we were keeping it at the proper time so that the very first fruits of each crop could be offered if we had a temple.
Each and every single barley searcher this year declared the barley was shattering and or Aviv on March 17 and 18, 2025. One day after we kept Wave Sheaf Day. Some are actively misleading you and will not repent. Yehovah see their actions. He will deal with them; you, you just obey Him and keep His Feasts when He says to do so. No excuses, no ya buts, no so and so said…. obey with no regrets.
The Blessings and Judgment
You all saw us in the Land of Israel searching for the barley. You all witnessed that the truce with Hamas, Hezbollah, and even the Houthis all stopped shooting for the two weeks while we were there. Then they started up after we left. That is a blessing from Yehovah because we are obeying Him. But don’t forget when Achan sinned, all of Israel was punished, all of Israel. Your actions and your sins affect us all. Please obey our King and keep His laws that will be enforced in the Kingdom, and do not excuse them off, and say I will try harder next time. We are in the final 10 Days of Awe, and it is now the second year. The time for winking at your sins is over. The time of Judgment has now begun.
On Sunday, July 27, 2025, we began our 40 days of repentance, counting down to the Day of Atonement on the 10th day of the 7th month. I am once again sharing the Selichot Prayers for all of us to begin to repent as we draw closer to Atonement. I should have done so last week, but I did not. The 40-day countdown began last Sunday, the 1st day of this 6th month.
Every year since I began to keep the feasts in 1982, I have been tested about each feast, and especially as we approached Sukkot season. Every single time. I am already feeling a very heavy weight this year as we begin these 40 days. The podcasts interviews, completing my latest book, A Lion Rises Up, and the Coming of Apollyon and published by Sept 30, 2025,, getting our newsletter out each week on time, preparing for the NRB and the $20,000 needed to do this event, encouraging new people, rebuking the hate emails, and sometimes getting it wrong about things and or people, keeping our executive team updated and encouraged to complete the tasks they have taken on, staying on top of the books ordered for some place and the banners ordered for other areas that have not arrived, family life and trying to figure out how to finance the ad campaigns, podcast campaigns, and maintain this website. The stresses pile up, and they always come to a head just before Sukkot.
Most years, it would be easy and solve all my problems if I just didn’t go to Sukkot. Or that is how I felt. In the beginning, I did cave in and not go. Life just got much worse after that, and the problems did not go away. When I determined I was keeping the Feast come Hell or High Water, and I went, every single problem that seemed so unmanageable or so beyond my ability to do before the Feasts, disappeared, and when I looked back, almost all of them were a figment of my own making. They were just a puff of hot air I had worked up into a whole lot of nothing.
This is Just a Test
Yehovah is testing each and every one of us. He has commanded that we do our heavy cooking—roasting, baking, boiling, broiling on the day before the Sabbath. The command to do this is clear. It is interesting to think about how frequently men think that “what Yehovah says” does not really apply to them or that it does not matter. What they are doing is presuming to add or subtract from His Word.
Yehovah said that He was going to give Israel a test (Exodus 16:4). The test dealt with keeping the 4commandment, the Sabbath. He wanted to see whether they would obey Him. He then commanded them to prepare for it, so that they could pass the test!
Does Yehovah mean what He says? He is serious enough about our keeping of the Sabbath that He included commandments to make sure that we are prepared to keep it and thus pass the test. The test, then, is not whether we know about the Sabbath but how we keep it. To keep the Sabbath, we must prepare for it.
Whether or not we will live by Yehovah’s Word depends upon our faith because, in reality, the test is of our faith. It tests whether we believe what Yehovah says. If we are depending only upon our eyes—our senses—we are quite limited. There are things we cannot see or hear that are very important to Yehovah. By appearance, the Sabbath is no different from any other day of the week. This means everybody is confronted by a test of faith in keeping it, and preparation is a key to keeping it properly.
To Yehovah, idolatry and Sabbath-breaking go hand in hand. Sabbath-breaking is shown to be idolatry because the Israelites were either using it in idolatrous devotion to a false god or not keeping it at all.
The Sabbath was given so that Israel would know Yehovah, so that they could fulfill their purpose, which was to witness for Yehovah before the world, learn more of His purpose, and work to build character so that they could inherit Yehovah’s Kingdom. They failed miserably and totally.
Yehovah accomplished His goal of bringing them into their own land only to uphold the reputation of His name. But what was the overall result? The Israelites in the wilderness died there (Hebrews 3:16-4:2). Their descendants failed in the same manner, so Yehovah cut them off and sent them into captivity and slavery.
Israel’s history reveals that the Creator, Yehovah, is the Source of the Sabbath, and Yehovah’s children have the responsibility to honour Him by keeping it.
In Ezekiel 20, Yehovah is referring to Israel’s Sabbath-breaking in their wilderness journey, quite early in their relationship with Him. In addition, if there was any time in all of the history of Israel’s relationship with Yehovah, this was a time during which they had no excuse for breaking the Sabbath. He was with them at all times in the cloud and the pillar of fire. They were also a completely closed society. There should have been no other god to worship.
All of the people were gathered in one general location. There was no place to go. Double manna fell each Friday, and no manna fell on the Sabbath. They had no excuse for losing track of what day it was. Yehovah, jarringly, had a man executed for Sabbath-breaking to remind them how important the day is and to instill in them respect for it. Yet, Yehovah says they still rebelled, suggesting that Yehovah was mostly concerned with how they were keeping it.
They undoubtedly gave lip service to the Sabbath, setting it aside on the calendar. When that day came around, any commercial business in the wilderness probably came to a halt on that day. They did not travel. It was what they were doing or not doing personally and individually on that day that harmed their relationship with Yehovah. That was the issue.
From Ezekiel 20, it is very clear to see that a major purpose of the Sabbath, apart from it being a sign, is that we might come to know Yehovah, which is eternal life (John 17:3)! If we are going to know Yehovah, the Sabbath must be kept. This passage ties the two of them together. Without knowing Yehovah, there is no eternal life. The Sabbath, then, is a necessary fixture in having eternal life.
In Ezekiel 20 verse 24 gives a concluding statement is given as to why Israel was taken into captivity. There are two possibilities regarding Israel’s Sabbath breaking. 1) Israel completely rejected Yehovah’s Sabbath for another day. This possibility exists due to the instances of the “My/their” or “Mine/yours” contrast, that is, My Sabbath as opposed to your Sabbath. 2) They polluted the Sabbath by careless, self-centered observance.
The probability is that they did both—some people completely rejected the Sabbath, while others carelessly observed it. However, it was because of Sabbath-breaking, a type of idolatry, that they went into captivity.
When we look at secular history, even biblical history, and society around us, how to keep this day is a mixed bag. On the surface, what we see in the New Testament is rigorous legalism from the Pharisees or asceticism from the Gentiles. Today, we might call that an extreme “rightism” or perhaps a reactionary conservatism.
In today’s world, though, we are confronted with the other side of the coin. We do not even begin to know how to keep the Sabbath because, from our earliest days, our culture’s emphasis has been on Sunday, a day that cannot be kept holy because it was never made holy!
The cycle of six workdays and one day of rest and worship is a legacy of the Bible. But in fairly recent history, society has undergone a radical transformation because of scientific, industrial, and technological achievements. A shorter workweek provides us with more leisure time. Businesses, however, make every effort to make the best use of time, to maximize production by scheduling work shifts so that the weekly cycle becomes a blur.
We have come to the place where we think that time belongs to us, and we can use it as we good and well please. This, in turn, makes a person very conscious of his free time. What does almost every individual do? He does the same thing that a business does. Every bit of time in a person’s life is booked up because they want to get the most out of life.
Even among those who are reasonably religious, the result has been that Sunday has become the hour of worship. The older among us can probably remember that, in the community, Sunday was once set aside very seriously. People did not work. They usually spent the day at home. Maybe the most secular thing they allowed themselves to do was to read the Sunday newspaper. Some, perhaps, did not even listen to the radio on Sunday because, to them, the day was holy.
But over the years, Sunday worship—which used to be kept somewhat as Yehovah expects us to keep the Sabbath—has now become, even among religious folks, an hour rather than a day of worship. People go to church for that one hour then perhaps return home. Or, maybe they go to a Sunday brunch at a restaurant. They spend the rest of the time on that day either making money or seeking their own pleasure.
All the while, the real Sabbath is ridiculed or ignored. This is what confronts us when we begin trying to keep it. A similar environment even affects those who continue to keep it. When we look in the Bible, we find that Yehovah does not give us many specifics as to how to keep it. Yehovah does, however, give us a number of broad principles, and He expects us to extrapolate from those principles in applying them.
Your Identity
What caused one house (Judah) to retain its identity and the other (Israel) to lose it? Yehovah gives the answer—the Sabbath. Whedon’s Commentary on the Bible (at verse 12) states, “The Sabbath was the visible sign to the Hebrews and to the world that they were his, and that he was theirs.”
A sign identifies. An example is a burqa, the long, loose garment covering the whole body from head to feet, worn in public by many Muslim women. A woman wearing a burqa is an unmistakable sign that she is Allah’s and that he is her god. It is a sign that separates and identifies.
With these verses in chapter 20 of Ezekiel, Yehovah guarantees that if His people keep the Sabbath—the sign that signifies who they are and who they worship—that sign would assure their identity. To be separate requires a definable identity. Yehovah, by their observance of the Sabbath, guaranteed they would remain separate and set apart, preserved as a select people unmixed with the nations.
Throughout history, the house of Judah has continued to observe the Sabbath. As a result, they have retained their identity. On the other hand, the house of Israel rejected the Sabbath, and true to Ezekiel 20, they have disappeared from view. They have lost their identity. They no longer have the sign that tells them, or the rest of the world, who they are.
The house of Israel chose to rebel against the Sabbath, a proclivity that began as far back as the wilderness journey:
Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them. (Ezekiel 20:13)
So, the Bible clearly and consistently identifies as Israel those nations that have become known as the “The Ten Lost Tribes” rather than the house of Judah.

Why Are We Keeping The Feasts A Month Ahead of Everyone Else?
Why Are We Keeping The Feast A Month Ahead of Everyone Else?
We are in the 40 days of repentance leading up to the Day of Atonement when the books are closed. If your name is not found in that book, then you will not be in the Kingdom. Many people are unaware of the significance of the Feast Days. They are found in Leviticus 23, and they are for all mankind. They are not just for the Jews.
Exo 12:49 There shall be one law to the native, and to the visitor that stays among you.
Lev 24:22 One judgment shall be for you whether an alien or a native; for I am Jehovah your God.
Num 9:14 And if a stranger shall live among you, and prepares the Passover to Jehovah, he shall do according to the ordinance of the Passover, and according to its ordinance. You shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger and for him that was born in the land.
Num 15:15 One ordinance for you of the congregation and also for the stranger that resides with you, an ordinance forever in your generations. As you are, so the stranger shall be before Jehovah.
Num 15:16 One law and one way shall be for you and for the stranger that lives with you.
In the Kingdom of God, there will be one law. The same law that has always been. It is and has always been men who have changed Yehovah’s laws.
Mal 3:6 For I am Jehovah, I change not. Because of this you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.
Mal 3:7 From the days of your fathers, you have turned aside from My statutes, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. But you say. In what way shall we return?
The current Hillel calendar came to be created in the year 358 C.E. But on the Tombstone of Zoar they did not begin to implement it until 432 and 444 C.E. Those are the earliest dates I can find where they changed record keeping from Aviv to Tishri to begin the year and from using the crescent moon to begin the month to using the conjunction moon. We have recorded this in our books, The Stone Cry Out, Part One and Two. You can get your free copies at https://sightedmoon.com/the-stones-cry-out-lp/. Just click on the link, fill in the form, and start reading right away.
At Sightedmoon.com, we have learned when each calendar came into creation. We have documented those dates in The Stone Cry Out books. The Enoch, Zadok, Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Book of Jubilee Calendars all can be easily proven false, and we show you how to do that in The Stones Cry Out.
This week, I am showing you the calendar Yehovah uses. The same one that the Mishnah records was being used before the Temple was destroyed. The Mishnah was the first book written to record the ceremonies that took place at the temple. They wanted a record because they feared they would not be going back for many years. Rabbi Akiva began this collection before 135 C.E., when he was killed at the end of the Bar Kochba Revolt. That was 65 years after the Temple was destroyed. Rabbi Yehuda then redacted his notes and created the Mishnah in 180 C.E., 110 years after the temple was destroyed and 150 years after Yehshua was killed.
You can read about the Barley ceremony at this link from the Mishnah and this one as well. You can read about the First Fruits of Wheat and then the first fruits of wine, figs, pomegranates, dates and olives at this link. Yes, I am giving you the links so you can look them up yourselves. The first fruits of each species was given at a specific time of year. Barley was given on Wave Sheaf Day during the 7 Days of Unleavened Bread. This was the first Chag or going up to the Temple. The second Chag was Shavuot, when the first fruits of wheat made into two loaves were offered up. The third Chag was at Sukkot when the first fruits of wine, along with the figs, pomegranates, dates and olives were offered.
None of these first fruits depended on the equinox. They were entirely dependent on Yehovah’s decision to make them ripe, which could be achieved by sending the rains or stopping them. In the video you are about to watch, you will hear the witnesses testify how the drought made the crops ripen earlier. Yes, Yehovah did that. But you will also hear how none of them changed their position to come alongside Yehovah once they saw the evidence.
We are now in the final 10 years of awe leading up to the time Satan will be locked away at Atonement in 2033. We, as the bride, must be making ourselves white and being spotless. This means perfecting our walk and not remaining the same for convenience’s sake. But when we see errors, we change and repent.
I pray that each of you watches this video and then shares it each day on your social platforms until the Feast of Trumpets comes, and we then know when the fall feast days are. You can find them on our website at Sightedmoon.com.
Barley Review of 2025: The Barley, The Wheat and the Grapes.
50 Days after Trumpets...
50 Days after Trumpets…
In 2024, we observed it on Tuesday, August 6, beginning at sunset on Monday, August 5. This year, in 2025, we kept the Feast of Yom Teruah on Monday, August 25.
Let me now share with you the dates for each of the years in mention and the 50 days later event. Here are the calculated dates exactly 50 days after each starting point you provided:
- From August 18, 2023, 50 days later is October 7, 2023
- From August 5, 2024, 50 days later is September 24, 2024
- From August 25, 202,5 50 days later is October 14, 2025
Major News Events Near October 7, 2023
The most significant event on this date was the Hamas-led attack on Israel, which marked the deadliest day for Israelis since the Holocaust and ignited the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Militants breached the Gaza border, killing approximately 1,200 people (mostly civilians) at sites like the Nova music festival and kibbutzim, while taking over 250 hostages. This assault involved coordinated land, sea, and air incursions, leading to widespread international condemnation and Israel’s subsequent military response in Gaza. Other global events around this time included earthquakes in Herat, Afghanistan (killing over 2,000), and flash floods in Sikkim, India, but the Israel attack dominated headlines. This disaster took place on Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah: Sunset October 6 to nightfall October 8 (in Israel, Simchat Torah fell on October 7, coinciding with the Hamas attack).
Major News Events Near September 24, 2024
This period saw intensified conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. On September 23-24, Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah positions, killing over 558 people (including civilians and militants) in the deadliest day of hostilities in decades, amid escalating cross-border fire. This followed earlier incidents like the pager explosions on September 17 (killing Hezbollah members via booby-trapped devices) and walkie-talkie explosions on September 18. Shortly after, on September 27, an Israeli airstrike assassinated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut. Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) took place from Sunset October 2 to nightfall October 4.
In 2024 Sightedmoon.com was two month ahead of the Hillel calendar groups.
This year in order to establish this pattern in 2025, we are looking for major world events or significant developments in Israel itself on or around October 14, 2025. Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah: Sunset October 13 to nightfall October 15, will take place at this time.
The Day of Atonement
The Day of Atonement
(This article is from our Newsletter September 16-17, 2013, 5849-032)
Some will argue that this day is not a day of fasting. Is that right? What are you to do on this day?
We all know that on the Day of Atonement, Satan, the Azazel Goat in Leviticus 16, is going to be led away and locked up for the 7th Millennium.
All we have to do is compare Leviticus 16, which explains the Day of Atonement ceremonies, with Revelation 20, where this ceremony becomes a reality. Always remember the Holy Days are shadow pictures of future events.
Col 2:16 Therefore let no one judge you in food or in drink or in respect of a feast or of the new moon or of the Sabbaths. 17 For these are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.
Lev 16:20 And when he has made an end of reconciling the sanctuary and the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, he shall bring the live goat. 21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the sins of the sons of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send away by the hand of a chosen man into the wilderness. 22 And the goat shall bear on him all their sins to a land in which no one lives. And he shall let the goat go in the wilderness. 23 And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall strip off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the sanctuary, and shall leave them there.
And notice when you read Lev 16 just how many times you are told this is a statute FOREVER.
Lev 16:29 And it shall be a statute forever to you: in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you shall afflict your souls and do no work at all, the native and the alien who is staying among you. 30 For on that day an atonement shall be made for you, to cleanse you, so that you may be clean from all your sins before Jehovah. 31 It shall be a sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. 3 And he cast him into the abyss and shut him up and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little time.
Here are some other facts for those of you who are new to The Day of Atonement: http://www.splanescorner.us/thread_of_atonement.htm
In this respect, several passages in the Talmud give textual testimony to the historical background to the events of Yom Kippur during the time of Yehshua’s death and resurrection, and provide us with information about the rituals concerning the Day of Atonement practiced during the Second Temple and Talmudic period (broadly dated between 536 B.C.E. and 500 C.E).
According to the Talmud, Yehovah publicly indicated His acceptance of Israel’s sin offering and their forgiveness through the use of a scarlet thread. The basic purpose of the scarlet thread was to “display publicly” to the people of Israel that G-d had forgiven their sins, based on the verse in Isaiah 1:18, “though your sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow.”8
According to the Mishna (the earliest rabbinic interpretation of the biblical commandment) the High Priest divided a thread of crimson wool, tied one half to the rock at the peak of the mountain from which the scapegoat was to be cast down, and the other half between the horns of the scapegoat itself. The goat was then pushed from behind, and “went rolling down and before it had reached half its way down it was dashed to pieces” (Yoma 6:6).
The Talmudic discussions in the Gemara (the commentary on the Mishnah) on this early practice provide different accounts of this ritual and disagree as to the reasons for the changes in practice that also occurred. In the tractate Rosh Hashanah, which deals with the commandments regulating the New Year, the Sages claim that the thread was originally tied to the outside of the door of the Temple. Apparently, the people would gather to see if the thread had turned white. If it did, “the people rejoiced, and if it did not turn white they were sad.” Therefore, the Sages ruled that the thread should be tied to the inside of the door, out of view of the public eye. However, the people “still peeped in and saw.” Once again, “if it turned white they rejoiced and if it did not turn white they were sad” (Rosh Hashanah 31b).
According to the mishna in Yoma, however, because the distance from Jerusalem to Beit Hararo (the mountain off of which the scapegoat was thrown) was three miles, it took time for the news to arrive that the scapegoat had, in fact, reached the wilderness. The thread which had been tied to the rock was therefore also tied to the door of the Temple itself. Thus, without having to wait for the news to arrive from the desert, the people would visually see that G-d had received the sacrifice of the scapegoat and that their sins had been atoned for and forgiven (Yoma 6:8).9
Although the motivations and some of the practical uses of the scarlet thread are obscure, its theological significance remains clear: G-d not only demonstrated His forgiveness of the people and the atonement of their sins, but He did so publicly, by turning the scarlet thread white so that it should be visible to the people.
A further point concerning the scarlet thread lies in the fact that in the tractate Rosh Hashanah it is raised in the middle of a debate concerning the identity of nine regulations laid down by Rabban Johanan ben Zaccai. Rabban Johanan was one of the few survivors of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 C. E., and was among the leading Pharisaic Sages who laid the foundation for the establishment of rabbinic Judaism following the collapse of the Temple and its sacrificial system. He was thus alive and active in religious life in Jerusalem around the time of Yehshua’s death and resurrection (c. 27-30 C.E.). (Yehshua died in 31 C.E., not 30 like many say; and when you count from this date, you will count 40 years to the Temple’s destruction in 70 C.E.) In the continuation of the same section of the Talmud, the text says that during Rabban Johanan’s lifetime:
“For forty years before the destruction of the Temple the thread of scarlet never turned white but it remained red. “(Rosh Hashanah31b).10
According to these Jewish sources, during the forty years following Yehshua’s death up until the destruction of the Temple when the sacrificial system ceased, the scarlet thread never turned white. This indicated that G-d no longer accepted the sacrifice of the scapegoat to atone for Israel’s sins.
Paul’s text is thus confirmed by the talmudic evidence. Yehshua’s crucifixion, around 31 C.E., displayed publicly “G-d’s forgiveness, and occurred at the same historical time when, according to rabbinic sources, the scarlet thread which was contemporarily regarded as the symbol of G-d’s forgiveness ceased to turn white (forty years before the destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E.), indicating that the scapegoat was unable to effect the forgiveness of Israel’s sin.” Yehshua Himself had become the scapegoat, whose blood atoned for Israel’s sins.
Returning to the question posed at the beginning of this article. What are we to do on this Day of Atonement? Do we fast and not eat any food or water from sunset to sunset or is there another purpose meant here?
We have written to you at the beginning of the 40 days of Repentance of the need for all of us to do this. These 40 days conclude with the Day of Atonement.
Many of you who have come out of being lied to in your former Christian faith absolutely refuse to do anything that you cannot find in your own bible.
In fact, I have stated to you many times, “If it ain’t in Lev 23, then why on earth are you celebrating it?” I have said this regarding Chanukah and Purim.
And then I tell you to observe this Jewish tradition of repentance during the 40 days leading up to Atonement, a tradition.
In that article I explained to you how these 40 days are symbolic of the 40 years that lead up to the locking away of Satan, which, according to the Jubilee cycles, will take place in the year 2033 in the fall, on the Day of Atonement, thus making the start year of these 40 years in 1994. This last Jubilee cycle began in 1996 with the 49th year in 1995. This also tells us that 2014 is the half-way point during these 40 years. I have some ideas but do not have solid conclusions as to what all of this means.
In a recent article, I remind you again about the 10 Days of Awe and encourage you to be mindful of this period. Last Shabbat I told you about Shabbat Shuva. All of which are not found in Lev 23, but are in fact some of the “traditions” of Judah.
I have explained to you that these 10 Days of Awe are representative of the final 10 years before Satan is locked away. The 10 Days of Awe are the time when Yehshua will execute judgment on the world for having destroyed all 12 tribes and just about wiped them out. Yes, this is genocide on a significant scale and is about to begin. Only a small remnant will remain.
Yehshua begins these 10 years of punishment on the world through the two witnesses and then the last 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation, which culminates in the locking away of Satan.
The 40 days of repentance is a process we all need to go through yearly and daily to remove whatever it is that keeps us from joining Yehovah; from being close with Him and from obeying his commands.
The final Ten days of Awe are also in line with this, deeply humbling ourselves. The climax of these things is the last Great Tribulation. It is also the last Jubilee cycle, which we are now living in, the 120th one, which the parameters of how long men would rule was defined to us by Yehovah in Gen 6:3.
The atrocities of the wars we see on TV around us, the massive die-offs in nature and the pollution of our water and earth, are the real life events that have been increasing and getting worse day by day and year by year. These headline news stories are the reality of the things that go with the 40 days of repentance. We need to see our part in the evils that are in this world and how we are causing this. We can no longer point the finger at them or that company. We all must stop being like Adam blaming Eve and Eve blaming Satan. Each of us must stand up and confess our own guilt in the destruction of this world and those things around us. Even the curses in Revelation are the result of extreme heat, which is the second of the curses in Leviticus 26.
In 2024 we will begin in reality the 10 Days/years of Awe. This is when the bridegroom comes to take vengeance on the nations. 2024 is just before 2026 where it says in Daniel 8 and the 2300 Days we are to be trampled. This over-lap of the 2300 days, which end in 2026, and the start of the 10 Years of vengeance is similar to the Exodus when Israel was protected after the 3rd curse. All the world will so hate us, but come 2026, the two witnesses will begin to rescue the remnant.
Dan 9:26 And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of the ruler who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And the end of it shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, until the end shall be war.
In this verse the city is Jerusalem that will be destroyed, but the word used for Sanctuary is not the Holy Place. This word actually is the Saints. It is the Saints that are destroyed.
This is again confirmed with the proper interpretation in Daniel ch. 8:
Dan 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself, even to the ruler of the host, and the daily sacrifice was taken away by him, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12 And an army was given to him against the daily sacrifice because of transgression, and it cast the truth to the ground. And it worked and succeeded. 13 Then I heard a certain holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that one who spoke, Until when shall the vision last, concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression that astounds, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled? 14 And he said to me, For two thousand, three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be vindicated.
The word sanctuary here is not the Holy of Holies but in truth is the saints. It is the Saints that are going to be cast down and trampled. The Saints are the tribes of Israel; all 12 tribes today.
We have explained in many articles how 10% will be all that are left of all the tribes of Israel; 10%- a remnant.
The population of the USA is 330,000,000. 10% of that is 33 Million. That is all that will survive, that is all that will be alive come 2033.
The population of the Britain is 54,000,000. 10% of that is 5.4 Million. That is all that will survive, that is all that will be alive come 2033.
The population of the Canada is 30,000,000. 10% of that is 3 Million. That is all that will survive, that is all that will be alive come 2033.
The population of the Australia is 22,000,000. 10% of that is 2 Million. That is all that will survive, that is all that will be alive come 2033.
In our next book “The 70 Shabua of Daniel” we explain this in great detail and will do so at Sukkot this year in Tennessee. (Edit, this book title became the 2300 Days of Hell, remember this article is written in 2013)
So what does this mean?
Well let’s go back to our original question. Are we to fast on this Day of Atonement?
All of these events follow the five curses laid out for you in Leviticus 26 for not keeping the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.
I have said it many times and do so again now; your entire Bible revolves around the knowledge and understanding of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years and the Holy Days of Leviticus 23. If you do not know them or understand them, then you do not know nor can you properly understand your Bible and prophecy. It is impossible to do so. So learn about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years as quickly as you can if you want to know the heart of your Father in heaven.
All five curses of Leviticus 26 have been played out during this current and last Jubilee cycle that you are living in right now. They are the judgment that is upon the House of Israel right now.
Right now, you are in the 3rd Sabbatical cycle, the 4th year of this 3rd Sabbatical cycle. The Curse of the 4th cycle of war begins in 2017 and goes to 2023. The fifth and last curse of captivity begins in 2024, which is the start of the 10 years of Awe, and this fifth curse goes until the year of Shabbat Shuva, the year of returning to the land of Israel, just before the great Tribulation begins in 2030. And the Tribulation begins in 2030 and goes to 2033.
Again, once all five curses are played out, then we are told in Leviticus 26 what we are to do if we want to survive. These curses are for Israel and they are to provoke her to return to the covenant we made at Sinai with Yehovah. But because we broke that covenant these curses are now upon us.
Lev 26:40 If they shall confess their willfulness and the willfulness of their fathers, with their sin which they sinned against Me, and that also they have walked contrary to Me, 41 I also will walk contrary to them and will bring them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they then pay for their iniquity, 42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham I will remember. And I will remember the land. 43 The land also shall be forsaken by them, and shall enjoy its sabbaths, while it lies waste without them. And they shall accept the punishment of their iniquities; because, even because they despised My judgments, and because their soul hated My statutes. 44 And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I hate them, to destroy them utterly and to break My covenant with them. For I am Jehovah their God. 45 But for their sakes, I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, so that I might be their God. I am Jehovah. 46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which Jehovah made between Him and the sons of Israel in Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
Take special notice of this one line. “If then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they then pay for their iniquity”
The word “Humbled” here is H3665 kaw-nah’
A primitive root; properly to bend the knee; hence to humiliate, vanquish: – bring down (low), into subjection, under, humble (self), subdue.
On the Day of Atonement we are to do what?
Lev 23:26 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 27 Also, on the tenth of this seventh month, this is a day of atonement. It shall be a holy convocation to you. And you shall afflict your souls and offer a fire offering to Jehovah. 28 And you shall do no work in that same day, for it is a day of atonement, in order to make an atonement for you before Jehovah your God. 29 For any soul who is not humbled in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. 30 And any soul who does any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. 31 You shall do no kind of work. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be to you a sabbath of rest, and you shall humble your souls. In the ninth of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your sabbath.
Take special note of “For any soul who is not humbled in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.”
The word humbled here is afflicted H6031 aw-naw’
A primitive root (possibly rather identical with H6030 through the idea of looking down or browbeating); to depress literally or figuratively, transitively or intransitively (in various applications). (sing is by mistake for H6030.): – abase self, afflict (-ion, self), answer [by mistake for H6030], chasten self, deal hardly with, defile, exercise, force, gentleness, humble (self), hurt, ravish, sing [by mistake for H6030], speak [by mistake for H6030], submit self, weaken, X in any wise.
We are to humble our hearts. In the same way, we are told we will be doing after all of these curses are played out in our own lives.
Those who do not humble their hearts will be cut off. In other words, they will be killed. Read what Ezekiel has to say to Israel. This was over 100 years after Israel had already gone into captivity.
Eze 20:8 But they rebelled against Me and would not listen to Me. They did not each man throw away the abominations of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. And I said, I will pour out My fury against them to fulfill My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. Eze 20:21 But the sons rebelled against Me. They did not walk in My statutes, nor kept My judgments to do them; the judgments which, if a man do, he shall even live in them; they profaned My sabbaths and I said I would pour out My fury on them, to fulfill My anger against them in the wilderness.
Eze 20:33 As I live, says the Lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, I will reign over you. 34 And I will bring you out from the people, and I will gather you out of the lands in which you are scattered among them, with a mighty hand and with a stretched out arm and with fury poured out. 35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.36 Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you, says the Lord Jehovah.37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. 38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels and those who sin against Me. I will bring them out from the land where they reside, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am Jehovah. 39 And you, O house of Israel, so says the Lord Jehovah: Every man go and serve his idols, and do so from now on if you will not listen to Me. But never again defile My holy name with your gifts and with your idols.
Yehovah is going to remove all of us from our current lodging, our current homes and make us to pass under the ROD; that rod is the current nation of Germany and Islam. Germany in the bible is Assyria. When you pass under the “rod,” it is like the shepherd’s staff. Every tenth one is Holy. The rest are not. In this case, the rest are discarded and killed or die on the way back to the land of Israel. He is going to purge them out.
Isa 10:5 Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger! And the staff in their hand is My fury.
How many times have you read how Yehovah is going to chasten us in “Fury.” And now you see that Assyria-Germany today is going to be that very Rod, and the “Fury” Yehovah will use.
In the 7th month, at the Feast of Tabernacles, was the Feast of Dedication by Solomon. Notice this is the proper time to celebrate the Feast of Dedication, which is what Solomon did. Notice the difference in how Yehovah acts, regarding that false teaching called Chanukah.
Solomon prays, asking Yehovah to forgive Israel when they have sinned, and he lists the same sins as mentioned in Leviticus 26. The same place Yehovah tells us to humble our hearts if we want to live.
1Ki 8:14 And the king turned his face around and blessed all the congregation of Israel. And all the congregation of Israel stood. 15 And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, who spoke with His mouth to David my father, and has fulfilled it by His hand, saying, 16 From the day that I brought forth My people Israel out of Egypt, I did not choose any city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, so that My name might be in it. But I chose David to be over My people Israel. 17 And it was in the heart of my father David to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel. 18 And Jehovah said to my father David, Because it was in your heart to build a house to My name, you did well that it was in your heart. 19 Only, you shall not build the house, but your son who shall come out of your loins, he shall build the house to My name. 20 And Jehovah has performed His Word which He spoke, and I have risen up instead of my father David. And I sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised. And I have built a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel. 21 And I have set there a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of Jehovah which He made with our fathers when He brought them out of the land of Egypt. 22 And Solomon stood before the altar of Jehovah in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward the heavens. 23 And he said, Jehovah, the God of Israel, there is no God like You, in Heaven above or on earth beneath, who keeps covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their heart, 24 who have kept with Your servant David my father what You promised him. You also spoke with Your mouth, and have fulfilled with Your hand, as it is today. 25 And now, Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David, my father, what You promised him, saying, There shall not be cut off from you a man in My sight to sit on the throne of Israel– if your sons take heed to their way so that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me. 26 And now, O God of Israel, I pray You, let Your Word be proved to be true, the Word which You spoke to Your servant David my father. 27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this house which I have built? 28 Yet, O, Jehovah my God, You have turned toward the prayer of Your servant and to his request, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which Your servant prays before You today; 29 for Your eyes to be open toward this house night and day, toward the place of which You have said, My name shall be there; to listen to the prayer which Your servant shall pray toward this place. 30 And You shall listen to the cry of Your servant, and of Your people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place, and hear in Heaven Your dwelling-place, and when You hear, forgive! 31 If any man sins against his neighbor, and if an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and if the oath comes before Your altar in this house, 32 then hear in Heaven, and do, and judge Your servants, to declare the wicked to be wicked, to bring his way on his head, and to declare the righteous to be righteous, to give him according to his righteousness. 33 When Your people Israel are crushed before the enemy because they have sinned against You, and shall turn again to You and confess Your name, and pray, and cry to You in this house, 34 then hear in Heaven and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them again into the land which You gave to their fathers. 35 When the heavens are restrained, and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, if they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin when You afflict them, 36 then hear in Heaven and forgive the sin of Your servants, and of Your people Israel, for You shall teach them the good way in which they should walk, and give rain on Your land which You have given to Your people for an inheritance. 37 If there is famine in the land, if there is plague, blasting, mildew, locusts; if there are stripping locusts; if their enemy encircles them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness, 38 any prayer, any supplication from any man of all Your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and shall spread forth his hands toward this house, 39 then hear in Heaven Your dwelling-place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to all his ways, whose heart You know. For You, You only, know the hearts of all the sons of Adam. 40 Do this so that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You have given to our fathers. 41 And concerning a stranger who is not of Your people Israel, but who comes out of a far country for Your name’s sake; 42 for they shall hear of Your great name and of Your strong hand and of Your stretched-out arm; and if he shall come and pray toward this house, 43 hear in Heaven Your dwelling-place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You, as Your people Israel do , and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by Your name. 44 If Your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever You shall send them, and shall pray to Jehovah toward the city which You have chosen, and the house that I have built for Your name, 45 then hear in Heaven their prayer and their cry, and maintain their cause. 46 If they sin against You (for there is no man who does not sin), and if You are angry with them, and have delivered them up before the enemy, and they have been led away captive to the land of the enemy, far or near, 47 yet if they shall think within themselves in the land where they are carried captives, and repent, and pray to You in the land of their captors saying, We have sinned and have done perversely, we have done wickedly, 48 and so return to You with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and if they pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, to the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name, 49 then hear their prayer and their cry in Heaven Your dwelling-place, and maintain their cause, 50 and forgive Your people who have sinned against You, even all their sins which they have done against You, and give them pity before their captors, so that they may have pity on them. 51 For they are Your people, and Your inheritance, which You brought out of Egypt, from the middle of the furnace of iron, 52 for Your eyes shall be open to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your people Israel, to listen to them in all that they call for to You. 53 For You have separated them from among all the people of the earth to be Your inheritance, as You spoke by the hand of Moses Your servant, when You brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord Jehovah. 54 And it happened as Solomon finished praying all this prayer and petition to Jehovah, he rose from before the altar of Jehovah, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven. 55 And he stood and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying, 56 Blessed be Jehovah, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise which He promised by the hand of Moses His servant. 57 May Jehovah our God be with us as He was with our fathers. Let Him not leave us nor forsake us, 58 to incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments which He commanded our fathers. 59 And let these my words, with which I have prayed before Jehovah, be near Jehovah our God day and night, so that He may maintain the cause of His servant, and the cause of His people Israel of each day in its day, 60 for all the people of the earth know that Jehovah is God; there is no other. 61 And let your heart be perfect with Jehovah our God, to walk in His statutes, and to keep His commandments, as at this day. 62 And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before Jehovah. 63 And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to Jehovah, twenty-two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of Jehovah. 64 On that day the king sanctified the middle of the court before the house of Jehovah. For there he had offered the burnt offering, and the food offering, and the fat of the peace offerings; because the bronze altar before Jehovah was too small to contain the burnt offering, and the food offering, and the fat of the peace offerings. 65 And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath to the river of Egypt, before Jehovah our God, seven days and seven days, fourteen days. 66 On the eighth day he sent the people away. And they blessed the king and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the good that Jehovah had done for David His servant, and for Israel His people.
Did you take note of this line in verse 40?
“Do this so that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You have given to our fathers.”
Daniel was one of those who actually did do this very thing we are talking about in Leviticus 26 and what Solomon is praying about here.
Dan 9:1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans, 2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood the number of the years by books, which came of the Word of Jehovah to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. 3 And I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek by prayer and holy desires, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes. 4 And I prayed to Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments, 5 we have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Your commandments and from Your judgments.
In verse 3, the word fasted is H6685 tsome, tsome
From H6684; a fast: – fast (-ing).
H6684 tsoom
A primitive root; to cover over (the mouth), that is, to fast: – X at all, fast.
We have seen that we are to humble ourselves, to afflict ourselves and seek forgiveness for our sins as if our very lives depend on it. Pleading for them as if on death row, if I may. And in fact, our lives do depend on our pleading to Yehovah for them.
This day of Atonement marks the end of a time, the 10 years of suffering that surpass our ability to explain them to you or your ability to understand just how dire things are about to become. Once you have gone through it and are afraid of everything that moves, as it might take your life; Groups of people or individuals, enslavement of you and those with you, death of 1000 on your left hand and 10,000 on your right; The loss of your family members, and you not knowing what has become of them. Then you will be so humbled, then you will understand what this word means to humble your heart.
Yehshua said Mat 24:22 And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect’s sake, those days shall be shortened.
And Isaiah says men will be more rare than the gold of Ophir.
Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, cruel and with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land waste; and He shall destroy its sinners out of it. 10 For the stars of the heavens and their constellations shall not give light; the sun shall be darkened in its going forth, and the moon shall not reflect its light. 11 And I will visit evil on the world, and their iniquity on the wicked. And I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the pride of tyrants. 12 I will make a man more precious than gold; even a man than the fine gold of Ophir. 13 So I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall move out of its place, in the wrath of Jehovah of Hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger. 14 And it shall be as a driven gazelle, and as a sheep that no man takes up; each man shall look to his own people, and each one flee into his own land. 15 Everyone who is found shall be thrust through; and everyone who is joined to them shall fall by the sword.
The time is coming when you will completely understand what it means to humble your heart. Isaiah again explains this:
Isa 58:1 Cry aloud, do not spare, lift up your voice like a ram’s horn, and show My people their rebellion, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and one who did not forget the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in drawing near to God. 3 They say, Why have we fasted, and You do not see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and You take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and crush all your laborers. 4 Behold, you fast for strife and debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness; you shall not fast as you do today, to make your voice to be heard on high. 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast and a day pleasing to Jehovah?
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed ones go free, and that you break every yoke?
If you were to look up these words and study them, Yehovah is saying to forgive others the hurts they have caused you. When others sin against you, they become indebted to you. You enslave them for their sin. You place this heavy yoke on them. Free them and forgive them of this burden. Show mercy
7 Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Here too we see those who hunger for the word of Yehovah that we are to share, with the poor that is the humble who consider themselves worthless. To cover their sins, Atone, Kaphar.
8 Then shall your light break out as the dawn, and your health shall spring out quickly; and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Jehovah shall gather you. 9 Then you shall call, and Jehovah shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, Here I am. If you take the yoke away from among you, the pointing of the finger, and speaking vanity;
Taking away the yoke and accusing finger of judgment and condemnation and speaking as if you are god.
10 and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.
Here then is where we can see their notion of being famished. The word Hungry here is H7457 raw-abe’
From H7456; hungry (more or less intensely): – hunger bitten, hungry.
H7456 raw-abe’
A primitive root; to hunger: – (suffer to) famish, (be, have, suffer, suffer to) hunger (-ry).
If we draw out OUR soul to those who are fasting and afflicting themselves in sincere repentance, THEN, THEN shall our light shine as in the noonday.
11 And Jehovah shall always guide you and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones fat; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters fail not. 12 And those who come of you shall build the old ruins; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. 13 If you turn your foot because of the Sabbath, from doing what you please on My holy days, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of Jehovah, honorable; and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,
There are still many of you, newer brethren and even older ones, who still work or shop on the Sabbath. You still go and cause others to serve you on the Sabbath and you do not keep the Sabbath Holy. You seek your own pleasure on Yehovah’s Set Apart Day. And you wonder why your prayers are not heard.
Repent from breaking the Sabbath or the Holy Days of Leviticus 23 and from adding to them other false days or from not keeping them at all, and strive to keep the next Sabbatical year in 2016, THEN, THEN your prayers will be heard and your prayers answered.
14 then you shall delight yourself in Jehovah; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed yourself with the inheritance of Jacob your father. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.
Brethren, all hell is soon going to be released, and we will wonder if we will make it through the night, and if we do, we will wonder if we will survive the day. From the year 2020 until the year 2033 is going to be the worse time in history and you will be in it.
On the Day of Atonement, I will be pouring out my heart to Yehovah, repenting of the things I have done and not done, and I will not eat or drink from sunset of the 9th day until after the sun has set at the end of the Tenth.
I will mourn for what is about to come and for my part in having caused it. I will be sad as I consider all that are about to die and how even some of the brethren will die during this time, as Ezekiel shows us by the hairs he throws into the fire from those he has protected.
I will remember the command to afflict my soul, and that those who don’t will be killed. Some of them are friends.
Brethren, choose what you are going to do, whether you fast or will not fast, whether you forgive others their debts or not, but choose wisely. If we do not have to fast, and we do, what have we lost? If, on the other hand, if we were to seriously fast and we do not, as we were told, then Yehovah has told us the rebellious will all be taken out and none of them will enter the Promised Land. None!!!
So choose wisely.
Blessed be Yehovah for completing what He has set out to do; separating the sheep from the goats in a spectacular fashion, the tares from the wheat. The wheat bows their heads in submission, in humbleness, while the tares stand up in their pride.
The Day of Atonement begins at Sunset Tuesday Evening Sept 2 and goes to Sunset Wednesday evening Sept 3, 2025, when it ends. This is the 10th day of the 7th month based on the sighting of the moon.
Will you keep it this year and humble your soul like Isaiah has defined?
The torah portions you can read on this Special Day of Atonement are the following:

Lev 16, Num 29:7-11, Lev 23:26-32, Isa 52:13 – 53:12, Jonah 1-4, John 1:1 – 2:2, Heb 7-10

Shabbat Shuva: The Sabbath of Return Amid the Days of Awe
Shabbat Shuva, also known as Shabbat Teshuvah or the “Sabbath of Return,” holds a special place in the Jewish calendar as the Sabbath that falls between Yom Teruah (the day of Shouting) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). This period, encompassing ten days from the start of Yom Teruah to the conclusion of Yom Kippur, is collectively known as the Yamim Noraim, or “Days of Awe.” During this time, individuals engage in deep introspection, repentance, and spiritual renewal. Shabbat Shuva derives its name from the opening words of its traditional Haftarah reading: “Shuvah Yisrael” (“Return, O Israel”) from Hosea 14:1. As a pivotal moment in this sacred season, it serves as a call to turn back to Yehovah, emphasizing themes of forgiveness, mercy, and transformation.
In this article, we will explore the key Scriptures associated with Shabbat Shuva, delve into its more profound meaning and significance during the Ten Days of Awe, and elaborate on its prophetic implications, particularly in relation to end-time events and the Messiah’s role.
Key Scriptures Associated with Shabbat Shuva
The Torah portion for Shabbat Shuva typically follows the regular weekly reading, but the distinctive element is the Haftarah—a prophetic selection read after the Torah portion. This Haftarah is chosen to align with the themes of repentance and return, drawing from multiple prophets to underscore God’s call for His people to seek reconciliation, and this is done as we draw to the end of the 40 days of Selichot. Shabbat Shuva is also nearing the end of the 10 Days of Awe. So these prayers, these verses read at this time, take on even more weight. The primary reading is from Hosea 14:1-9 (or 14:2-10 in some traditions), which begins with a plea for repentance:
Hos 14:1 O Israel, return to Jehovah your God, for you have fallen by your iniquity.
Hos 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.
Hos 14:3 Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride on horses. Nor shall we say any more to the work of our hands, Our gods, for in You the fatherless finds mercy.
Hos 14:4 I will heal their backslidings; I will love them freely; for My anger has turned away from him.
Hos 14:5 I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall grow as the lily and cast out his roots like Lebanon.
Hos 14:6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
Hos 14:7 They who dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive like the grain, and grow like the vine. Their scent shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
Hos 14:8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him and watched him; I am like a green fir tree. Your fruit is found from Me.
Hos 14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? Understanding, and he shall know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but sinners shall fall in them.
This passage emphasizes verbal confession, rejection of idols, and Yehovah’s promise of healing and restoration for those who repent. In many communities, the Haftarah is extended to include Micah 7:18-20, which highlights God’s merciful nature:
Mic 7:18 Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not keep His anger forever, because He delights in mercy.
Mic 7:19 He will turn again; He will have pity on us. He will trample our iniquities. Yea, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Mic 7:20 You will give faithfulness to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
Notice the line about casting our sins into the sea. Another reminder of the tradition Sombra introduced to us about doing the same thing, the tradition called Tashlich meaning “to cast”. This reinforces the theme of divine forgiveness and faithfulness to the covenant. Additionally, some traditions incorporate Joel 2:15-27, a call to national repentance and a promise of God’s deliverance:
Jol 2:15 Blow a trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn gathering.
Jol 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, gather the elders, gather the children and those who suck the breasts. Let the bridegroom go forth out of his chamber, and the bride out of her room.
Jol 2:17 Let the priests, the ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Have pity on Your people, O Jehovah, and give not Your inheritance to shame, for a proverb among those of the nations. Why should they say among the people, Where is their God?
The Lord Had Pity
Jol 2:18 Then Jehovah will be jealous for His land and pity His people.
Jol 2:19 Yes, Jehovah will answer and say to His people, Behold, I will send you grain, and wine, and oil, and you shall be satisfied with it. And I will no more make you a curse among the nations.
Jol 2:20 But I will remove the northern army far from you, and will drive him into a barren and deserted land, with his face toward the eastern sea and his rear toward the western sea. And his stench shall come up, and his ill odor shall come up, because he was doing great things.
Jol 2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice. For Jehovah will do great things.
Jol 2:22 Do not be afraid, beasts of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness grow green; for the tree bears its fruit, and the fig tree and the vine yield their strength.
Jol 2:23 Be glad then, sons of Zion, and rejoice in Jehovah your God. For He has given you the former rain according to righteousness, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain in the first month.
Jol 2:24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
Jol 2:25 And I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the locust larvae, and the stripping locust, and the cutting locust, My great army which I sent among you.
Jol 2:26 And you shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of Jehovah your God, who has dealt with you wonderfully; and My people shall never be ashamed.
Jol 2:27 And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Jehovah your God, and no one else; and My people shall never be ashamed.
Joel’s prophecy speaks to communal fasting (Yom Kippur), prayer, and Yehovah’s response with material and spiritual blessings, including the outpouring of the Spirit—a theme echoed in the New Testament (Acts 2:17-21).
Act 2:17 “And it shall be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
Act 2:18 And in those days I will pour out My Spirit upon My slaves and My slave women, and they shall prophesy.
Act 2:19 And I will give wonders in the heaven above, and miracles on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious Day of the Lord.
Act 2:21 And it shall be that everyone who shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
These Scriptures collectively form the spiritual backbone of Shabbat Shuva, urging a return to God through sincere repentance while promising mercy and restoration.
The Deeper Meaning and Importance During the Ten Days of Awe
The Ten Days of Awe represent a profound season of spiritual accounting, where tradition holds that the books of life and death are open before Yehovah. Beginning on Yom Teruah, the Feast of Shouting—when judgments are inscribed—and culminating on Yom Kippur—when they are sealed—this period is dedicated to teshuvah (repentance), tefillah (prayer), and tzedakah (charity). Shabbat Shuva, falling squarely in the midst of these days, acts as a sacred pause, a moment to reflect on one’s life and realign with divine purpose.
At its core, Shabbat Shuva’s deeper meaning revolves around the concept of “return.” The Hebrew word shuvah implies not just repentance from sin but a holistic turning back to one’s true self and to Yehovah. It encourages believers to recognize their unique role in creation, as if the world were made for them alone, and to emulate Yehovah through acts of mercy and forgiveness—a practice known as imitatio dei (imitation of God). As the Haftarah from Hosea illustrates, true repentance involves “taking words” with us—confessing verbally, regretting actions, and committing to change—while rejecting false securities like idols or worldly powers.
During the Ten Days of Awe, Shabbat Shuva’s importance lies in its role as a catalyst for personal and communal renewal. It bridges the joy of Yom Teruah’s new beginnings with the solemnity of Yom Kippur’s atonement, providing a framework for self-evaluation. The prophetic readings remind worshippers of God’s delight in mercy (Micah 7:18) and His readiness to heal those who have backslidden (Hosea 14:4). This Sabbath fosters a sense of urgency: if judgments are being inscribed, now is the time to seek forgiveness from Yehovah and reconciliation with others. Practices such as increased prayer, Torah study, and acts of kindness amplify this, transforming introspection into actionable faith.
For believers, Shabbat Shuva underscores that repentance is not a burdensome duty but a pathway to freedom and intimacy with Yehovah. It teaches that mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13 in the New Testament echoes this), making it a vital anchor in the themes of awe, fear, and hope that characterize the Days of Awe.
Prophetic Implications of Shabbat Shuva
Beyond its immediate call to repentance, Shabbat Shuva carries rich prophetic undertones, foreshadowing end-time events, divine judgment, and ultimate redemption. The Haftarah selections are not arbitrary; they point to a future where Yehovah’s people fully return to Him, ushering in an era of restoration. In Hosea 14, the promise of healing and love “freely” (v. 4) evokes the Messianic age, where backsliding is cured, and Israel blooms like a lily (v. 5)—symbolizing renewal and fruitfulness. Micah’s assurance of sins cast into the sea (7:19) aligns with prophecies of final forgiveness and covenant fulfillment, often linked to the Messiah’s redemptive work. Joel 2:15-27, with its call to blow the trumpet (shofar) and promise of Spirit outpouring, is explicitly prophetic.
Prophetically, Shabbat Shuva within the Ten Days of Awe mirrors the “birth pangs” of the Messianic era. The shofar blasts during this season serve as a “wake-up call” to repentance, foreshadowing the great shofar of redemption (Isaiah 27:13) when the scattered are gathered. In Messianic interpretations, this ties to Yehshua (Jesus) as the suffering servant (Messiah ben Joseph) who has fulfilled spring feast prophecies through His death and resurrection, while the fall feasts—including those framing Shabbat Shuva—anticipate His return as conquering king (Messiah ben David). The uncertainty of the “day or hour” (Matthew 24:36) aligns with Yom Teruah’s observance, suggesting Shabbat Shuva’s themes of return prepare believers for the Messiah’s imminent appearance.
Furthermore, the Days of Awe symbolize the final judgment, where books are opened (Revelation 20:12), and mercy is extended to those who repent. Joel’s imagery of fasting and assembly prefigures the tribulation and great awakening, culminating in Yehovah’s deliverance and poured-out Spirit. Shabbat Shuva, then, prophetically invites humanity to “return” before the final atonement, emphasizing that Yehovah’s mercy is available now but judgment is certain for the unrepentant.
In essence, Shabbat Shuva is more than a historical observance—it’s a prophetic rehearsal for the ultimate return to Yehovah, blending awe with hope. As believers reflect during these days, they are reminded that true teshuvah leads not only to personal renewal but to participation in the grand narrative of redemption.
Shabbat Shuva Part 2
Shabbat Shuva Part 2
Once this Feast of Trumpets is declared, then and only then can we know the rest of the Fall Holy Days are to take place.
Lev 23:24 Speak to the sons of Israel saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath, a memorial summons, a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor but you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah.
Once we know when the Day of Trumpets is, the day no one knows, then we can count Ten Days to the Day of Atonement.
This week, we will examine these ten days and reveal aspects of this teaching that you may not have considered, especially in Prophecy.
On the 9th of Av, or the 9th day of the 5th month, the curse was given to Israel, ordering them to wander in the wilderness for 40 years before being allowed into the Promised Land.
This is very significant. Fifty days later, using a 29-day month would bring you to the Feast of Trumpets. 20 Days for the remainder of the 5th month and 29 for the 6th month.
The Feast of Trumpets, the day of Pentecost, and the Jubilee year are all related in the meaning and importance thereof. And for that matter so is The Eighth Day Feast. So from the 9th of Av until Trumpets is 50 days and something to keep in mind as you repent and prepare yourself for the wedding. Again, all these Feasts are connected and lead you in the plan of salvation. This is one reason we are watching those 50 day events after Trumpets this year. This is because we are seeing a pattern develop.
Let’s take a quick look at each one again.
Shavuot, the Feast of Pentecost;
Exo 19:15 And he said to the people, Be ready for the third day. Do not approach a woman. And it happened on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mountain. And the voice of the trumpet was exceedingly loud, so that all the people in the camp trembled. And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God. And they stood at the lower part of the mountain. And Mount Sinai was smoking, all of it, because Jehovah came down upon it in fire. And the smoke of it went up like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and became very strong, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice. And Jehovah came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
The Feast of Trumpets depicts nothing less than the return of Yehshua to the earth to establish the Kingdom of Yehovah! The book of Revelation reveals a sequence of earth-shaking events heralded by angels sounding a series of seven trumpet blasts.
Rev 11:15 And the seventh messenger sounded, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and ever!”1 Footnote: 1See 12:10, Ps. 2:8, Ps. 22:28, Dan. 2:44, Dan. 7:13-14, Obad. 15-21, Hag. 2:22, Zech. 14:9. .
Actually, the word “trumpet” does not appear in this verse. The phrase “trumpet blasts” translates a single Hebrew word, teruah, which means a loud, resounding noise—a great shout or blaring, or an awakening blast. This was the sound of a “trumpet,” but not the metal, musical kind also used by the Israelites.
This Feast is properly called Yom Teruah, or the Day of Shouting.
Notice that at Shavuot, trumpets were blasting, and the same was true at the Feast of Trumpets.
On the Feast of Trumpets, the nations of the world gather to wage war on the Messiah.
Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, and your spoil shall be divided in your midst. For I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women raped. And half of the city shall go into exile, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. And Jehovah shall go out and fight against those nations, like the day He fought in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall divide from its middle, from the east and to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the sovereigns of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to fight Him who sat on the horse and His army.
Paul also shows us that the entire earth waits for this very day. And you will notice that he uses the term’ first fruits’; another reference to Shavuot.
Rom 8:19 For the intense longing of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of Elohim. Footnote: 1Lit. anxiously looking with outstretched head. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not from choice, but because of Him who subjected it, in anticipation, 21 that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage to corruption into the esteemed freedom of the children of Elohim. 22 For we know that all the creation groans together, and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only so, but even we ourselves who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we ourselves also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
The Jubilee (Hebrew Yovel) year is the year at the end of seven cycles of Sabbatical years (Hebrew Shmita), and according to biblical regulations, had a special impact on the ownership and management of land in the territories of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. The English term Jubilee derives from the Hebrew term yobel (via Latin Jubilaeus), which in turn derives from yohbel, meaning ram; in the Jubilee year, on the Day of Atonement, a blast on an instrument made from a ram’s horn called a shofar, signified that Israel was now going to be returned to their possession once the Azazel Goat was cast of the cliff only this final Jubilee signifies when Satan will be thrown in the lake of fire.
The shofar was used to announce holidays (Psa 81:3 Blow the ram’s horn at the time of the New Moon, At the full moon, on our festival day. ), the Jubilee year (Lev. 25. 9), and to tear down walls in Jericho. The first day of the seventh month (Tishri) is termed “a memorial of blowing” (Lev. 23. 24), or “a day of blowing” (Num 29:1 ‘And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work, it is a day of blowing the trumpets for you.), the shofar. They were for signifying the start of a war (Josh. 6. 4; Judges 3. 27; 7. 16, 20; I Sam. 8. 3).
As you study this day of Yom Teruah keep in mind how it relates to the other Holy Days and the Jubilee years.
Many of us have come out of Christian faiths and realized the many lies we were taught there. We then jump into the other ditch of Judaism as we seek our Hebraic roots. Then after a while, we again see the things that Judah does that can`t be supported by scriptures.
Then some of you want to throw out everything Jewish. Please do not throw out the baby with the bathwater. There are some awesome teachings to be found in Judaism who have been keeping Torah for some 3400 years since the Exodus while we, the northern Ten lost tribes have been keeping every pagan tradition we could find and not Torah.
Now that we are returning and rediscovering our true roots, we must sift through it all and keep that which is good.
One such teaching is The Ten Days of Awe. These are the days between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur.

Days of Awe
Level: Basic
Significance: A time of introspection
Length: 10 Days (including Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur)
Customs: Seeking reconciliation with people you have wronged; Kapparot
The ten days starting with Rosh Hashanah and ending with Yom Kippur are commonly known as the Days of Awe (Yamim Noraim) or the Days of Repentance. This is a time for serious introspection, a time to consider the sins of the previous year and repent before Yom Kippur. One of the ongoing themes of the Days of Awe is the concept that G-d has “books” that he writes our names in, writing down who will live and who will die, who will have a good life and who will have a bad life, for the next year. These books are written in on Rosh Hashanah, but our actions during the Days of Awe can alter G-d’s decree. The actions that change the decree are “teshuvah, tefilah and tzedakah,” repentance, prayer, good deeds (usually, charity). These “books” are sealed on Yom Kippur. This concept of writing in books is the source of the common greeting during this time is “May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.”
Among the customs of this time, it is common to seek reconciliation with people you may have wronged during the course of the year. The Talmud maintains that Yom Kippur atones only for sins between man and G-d. To atone for sins against another person, you must first seek reconciliation with that person, righting the wrongs you committed against them if possible.
Another custom observed during this time is kapparot. This is rarely practiced today, and is observed in its true form only by Chasidic and occasionally Orthodox Jews. Basically, you purchase a live fowl, and on the morning before Yom Kippur you wave it over your head reciting a prayer asking that the fowl be considered atonement for sins. The fowl is then slaughtered and given to the poor (or its value is given). Some Jews today simply use a bag of money instead of a fowl. Most Reform and Conservative Jews have never even heard of this practice.Work is permitted as usual during the intermediate Days of Awe, from Tishri 3 to Tishri 9, except of course for Shabbat during that week.
Two lesser special occasions occur during the course of the Days of Awe.
The Shabbat that occurs in this period is known as Shabbat Shuvah (the Sabbath of Return). This is considered a rather important Shabbat.
I want you to take special notice of what this article says; that these 10 days are the Days of Repentance and that This is a time for serious introspection.
Why?
The answer is found in of all places Lev 26 where we read about the curses for not keeping the Sabbatical years. Amazing. This was a shocker to me when I first saw it.
Lev 26:33 ‘And I shall scatter you among the gentiles and draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be desert and your cities ruins, 34 and the land enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies waste and you are in your enemies’ land. Then the land would rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 ‘As long as it lies waste it rests, for the time it did not rest on your Sabbaths when you dwelt in it. 36 ‘And as for those of you who are left, I shall send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, and the sound of a shaken leaf shall cause them to flee. And they shall flee as though retreating from a sword, and they shall fall when no one pursues. 37 ‘And they shall stumble over one another, as from before a sword, when no one pursues. And you shall be unable to stand before your enemies. 38 ‘And you shall perish among the gentiles, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up, 39 and those of you who are left rot away in their crookedness in your enemies’ lands, and also in their fathers’ crookednesses rot away with them.
The first curse of Terrorism, the second curse of Drought and severe weather, the third curse of pestilence and famine and earthquakes, the fourth curse of war, and the fifth curse of captivity are all declared to you in verses 14-39.
But now we are about to read something. Yehovah says that if we repent, are humbled, and accept our punishment, then and only then will He remember us and not destroy us. Read this very carefully.
Lev 26:40 ‘But if they confess their crookedness and the crookedness of their fathers, with their trespass in which they trespassed against Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, 41 and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies – if their uncircumcised heart is then humbled, and they accept the punishment of their crookedness, 42 then I shall remember My covenant with Yaaqob, and also My covenant with Yitshaq, and also remember My covenant with Abraham, and remember the land. 43 ‘For the land was abandoned by them, and enjoying its Sabbaths while lying waste without them, and they were paying for their crookedness, because they rejected My right-rulings and because their being loathed My laws. 44 ‘And yet for all this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I shall not reject them, nor shall I loathe them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them. For I am Yehovah their Elohim. 45 ‘Then I shall remember for their sake the covenant of the ancestors whom I brought out of the land of Mitsrayim before the eyes of the nations to be their Elohim. I am Yehovah.’ ”
We read the very same thing when Solomon asked the dedication prayer when the Temple was first finished.
1Ki 8:29 “For Your eyes to be open toward this House night and day, toward the place of which You said, ‘My Name is there,’ to listen to the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place. 30 “Then, shall You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Yisra’l when they pray toward this place, when You hear in Your dwelling place, in the heavens? And shall You hear, and forgive? 31 “If anyone sins against his neighbour, and he has lifted up an oath on him, to cause him to swear, and comes and swears before Your altar in this House, 32 then hear in the heavens, and act and rightly rule Your servants, declaring the wrongdoer wrong, bringing his way on his head, and declaring the righteous right by giving him according to his righteousness. 33 “When Your people Yisra’l are smitten before an enemy, because they have sinned against You, and they shall turn back to You and confess Your Name, and pray and make supplication to You in this House, 34 then hear in the heavens, and forgive the sin of Your people Yisra’l, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their fathers. 35 “When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they sin against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your Name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them, 36 then hear in the heavens, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Yisra’l – for You teach them the good way in which they should walk – and shall give rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance. 37 “When there is scarcity of food in the land; when there is pestilence, blight, mildew, locusts, grasshoppers; when their enemy distresses them in the land of their cities; any plague, any sickness, 38 whatever prayer, whatever supplication made by anyone of all Your people Yisra’l, each knowing the plague of his own heart, and shall spread out his hands toward this House, 39 then hear in the heavens, Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and render unto everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know. Because You – You alone – know the hearts of all the sons of men, 40 so that they fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers. 41 “Also, concerning a foreigner, who is not of Your people Yisra’l, but has come from a far land for Your Name’s sake – 42 since they hear of Your great Name and Your strong hand and Your outstretched arm – and he shall come and pray toward this House, 43 hear in the heavens Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, so that all peoples of the earth know Your Name and fear You, as do Your people Yisra’l, and know that this House which I have built is called by Your Name. 44 “When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, in the way that You send them, and they shall pray to Yehovah toward the city which You have chosen and toward the House which I have built for Your Name, 45 then shall You hear in the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause? 46 “When they sin against You – for there is no one who does not sin – and You become enraged with them and give them to the enemy, and they take them captive to the land of the enemy, far or near; 47 and they shall turn back unto their heart in the land where they have been taken captive, and shall turn, and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, saying, ‘We have sinned and acted crookedly, we have committed wrong,’ 48 and they shall turn back to You with all their heart and with all their being in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and shall pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen and the House which I have built for Your Name, 49 then shall You hear in the heavens Your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause, 50 and forgive Your people who have sinned against You, and all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You? And give them compassion before those who took them captive, and they shall have compassion on them. 51 ‘For they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Mitsrayim, out of the iron furnace. 52 “Let Your eyes be open to the supplication of Your servant and the supplication of Your people Yisra’l, to listen to them whenever they call to You. 53 “For You have separated them unto Yourself for an inheritance, out of all the peoples of the earth, as You spoke by the hand of Your servant Mosheh, when You brought our fathers out of Mitsrayim, O Master Yehovah.”
When we find ourselves surrounded by the plagues that beset us, then we are to stop and turn to Jerusalem and pray for forgiveness with earnest hearts.
Read that again. Keep in mind, we are talking about the 10 Days of Awe.
This is exactly what Daniel did, and the resulting revelations were amazing.
Dan 9:1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans, in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood the number of the years by books, which came of the Word of Jehovah to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. And I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek by prayer and holy desires, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes. And I prayed to Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Your commandments and from Your judgments. Neither have we listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our rulers, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us the shame of our faces, as it is today to the men of Judah and to the people of Jerusalem, and to all Israel who are near and who are afar off, through all the countries where You have driven them because of their sin which they have sinned against You. O Lord, shame of face belongs to us, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against You. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in His Laws which He set before us by His servants the prophets. Yea, all Israel has transgressed Your Law, and turned aside, that they might not obey Your voice. Therefore the curse has been poured out on us, and the oath that is written in the Law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him. And He has confirmed His Words which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing on us a great evil. For under all the heavens it has not been done as it has been done to Jerusalem. As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we did not make our prayer before Jehovah our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand Your truth. Therefore Jehovah has watched over the evil, and has brought it on us. For Jehovah our God is righteous in all His works which He does; for we did not obey His voice. And now, O Lord our God, who have brought Your people out from the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have brought fame to Yourself, as it is today, we have sinned, we have done wrong. O Lord, I pray You, according to all Your righteousness let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain. Because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a curse to all those who are around us. And now, O our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his holy desires, and cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake. O my God, bow down Your ear and hear. Open Your eyes and behold our ruins, and the city which is called by Your name. For we do not present our prayers before You on account of our righteousnesses, but because of Your great mercies. O Jehovah, hear; O Jehovah, forgive; O Jehovah, listen and do. Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God; for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.
Gabriel Brings an Answer
Dan 9:20 And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin, and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my cry before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God; yes, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, touched me in my severe exhaustion, about the time of the evening sacrifice.
Brethren, it was when I was caught in sin and I saw it, and only when I repented of it and confessed it and cried out to Yehovah for help and forgiveness; then and only then were things revealed to me. First was the revelation of the sighted moon as the calendar we are to follow. The second was the Sabbatical years, and the third was the Prophecies of Abraham.
Had I not repented, reading out loud the prayer of Daniel, I would never have been shown any of this. Had Daniel not repented and asked for forgiveness for all of Israel, Yehovah would not have sent the angel to reveal some of the greatest prophecies of the Bible to him.
During these Ten Days of Awe, from the time the judgment begins on the world on the Feast of Yom Teruah, we should seek to humble ourselves and repent of all the evil that we do against Torah and Yehovah. You want to seek forgiveness before the books are sealed on the Day of Atonement for this year.
Now that you know these things, take the next step to a higher level of understanding.
The Ten Days of Awe are not days but years. These are ten years of judgment. Israel has already been judged. Israel all 12 tribes go into captivity together as Hoshea 5:5 tells us.
Hos 5:5 “And the Excellency of Yisra’el shall witness to his face, and Yisra’el and Ephrayim stumble in their crookedness. Yehudah shall also stumble with them.
Now while both houses are in captivity and are suffering the horrors of decapitation, sexual enslavement for women and children and young boys, cannibalism beatings and starvation, freezing cold and blistering heat with no place to call home that is safe; it is while in this state enduring the punishments for her sins that Yehovah stands up and begins to judge the world who did this to His bride.
These ten years of judgment are on the world, from 2024 to 2033.
During those Ten Days of Awe, there is always a Shabbat that comes at some point. It is called Shabbat Shuva and it falls on the Sabbath that comes between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement.
When you go to the charts in The Charts Archive you will see on the opening page the current Jubilee cycle.
It is during the years of captivity that the two witnesses come on the world scene and demand that the Beast release all the Israelite captives. Much like Moses and Aaron did in Egypt. After three years of drought around the world and ¼ of the earth’s population dying, only then are all the Israelites released and brought back to the Land of Israel. And they all arrive by Passover 2030.
2030 just so happens to be the Sabbatical year at the end of the 5th Sabbatical cycle.
Here is when the martyrdom of the saints begins. Satan has allowed all the Israelites to be brought back to Israel for one reason and one reason only. To gather them in one spot and completely eliminate them all.
This is when the two witnesses are killed at Passover, and this then is the beginning of the last 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation. Up until this point, we have only been following the Sabbatical cycle and its curses.
Now the last 3 ½ years begin just as it did in Noah’s Day and also in Sodom’s day. They both concluded in the middle of this 6th Sabbatical cycle, which also matches when the Day of Atonement comes at the end of these ten years in our current cycle. That year is 2033.
This is the year Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed in 2047, after the Creation of Adam. It is the third year of the 6th Sabbatical Cycle.
This is the year of Noah’s Flood in 1656, after the Creation of Adam. It is the 4th year of the 6th Sabbatical Cycle.
And it is on The Day of Atonement in 2033 that Satan will finally be bound and cast into darkness for the 7th millennium.
Shabbat Shuva is the Shabbat between Rosh Hashana, The Feast of Trumpets and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It is called thus after the Haftara from Hoshea 14, which reads:
“Shuva Yisrael – Return, O Israel, unto Hashem your G-d.”
During these days, we are obligated to do teshuva, to repent. In fact, some people call this Shabbat Tshuva since it is the Shabbat of the Ten Days of repentance. It is customary in all congregations for the Rabbi to give a sermon calling upon the people to repent before Yom Kippur. He also reviews the laws of Yom Kippur.
And this is what each of us needs to do at this time of year as we approach the Day of Atonement.

Haftorah Shuva
Hoshea 14:2-10; Yoel 2:11-27; Micha 7:18-20
This Shabbos is known as Shabbos Shuva – the Shabbos of Return because the Haftorah begins with the words, “Shuva (Return) Yisroel to G-d” Gleaned from both Hoshea and Yoel, the prophets describe G-d’s desire to forgive His children, if only they will repent. The fast of Yom Kippur is mentioned as well as the rewards awaiting us if we proclaim G-d in our midst.
The Shabbat that occurs in this period is known as Shabbat Shuvah (the Sabbath of Return). This is considered a rather important Shabbat.
Hos 14:1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
We have sinned and been removed from the land for our sins. Yahweh is now calling for us to return to Him. To return to the land of Canaan, to our promised land. He then tells us what to bring;Verse 2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD:
That is we are to bring the Torah Scrolls with us when we come back to the land.
We are told in Joel when this occurs. At the Feast of Trumpets, Blow the trumpet, and at the Day of Atonement, sanctify a fast. Notice where this is done. In Zion. JOEL 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Again, looking at the chart, you can see that after this Shabbat Shuva, there are only three days left, which represent the last 3 ½ years before Satan is locked away on the Day of Atonement in 2033.
Again, for some of you, this is all new, and others may want to review it in the following articles at:

The Ten Days of Awe represent the last ten years when Babylon is destroyed and the captives of Israel are freed, and then some are martyred. It concludes with the binding of Satan, represented by the Goat, on the day of Atonement, which is led out to the wilderness, bearing all the guilt for all the wrong he has brought into the world; The Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.
The conclusion of all of these things is just 12 years from this fall (2008). Are you ready? Are you repenting and making yourself white? This article was initially written in 2008, when I looked towards 2020, 12 years in the future. We now have 2020 in the rear-view mirror and 2030 just 5 years away. Some things we had said were spot on. Others not so much. But the chronology has continued to prove itself true. Do you believe what it shows you, or do you still doubt? Repent while you have time.
Three Times A Year
Three Times A Year
Deu 16:16 Three times in a year shall all your males appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose: in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and in the Feast of Weeks, and in the Feast of Tabernacles. And they shall not appear before Jehovah empty,
Deu 16:17 but each with his gift in his hand, according to the blessing of Jehovah your God, which He has given you.
Coming Before Yehovah Three Times a Year: A Biblical Mandate of Worship, Offering, and Joy
In the Torah, Yehovah (the Lord) commands His people to appear before Him three times each year at specific appointed festivals. These pilgrimages were not mere suggestions but divine instructions designed to foster a deep relationship with Yehovah, to remind them of His deliverance, and to promote communal celebration. Rooted in the agricultural cycles of ancient Israel, these feasts—Passover/Unleavened Bread, Shavuot (Weeks/Pentecost), and Sukkot (Tabernacles)—served as times of thanksgiving, reflection, and rejoicing. Importantly, the Scriptures emphasize that one should not appear before Him empty-handed, underscoring the principles of gratitude and generosity. Additionally, provisions were made to convert tithes into resources for joyful feasting, ensuring that these gatherings were marked by abundance and delight, especially during Sukkot.
This article explores these commands through relevant Scriptures, highlighting their spiritual significance and practical applications for believers today who seek to honour Yehovah’s eternal instructions.
The Three Appointed Times: A Command to Appear Before Yehovah
The foundation for appearing before Yehovah three times a year is laid out in the book of Exodus, where God instructs the Israelites on the rhythm of worship tied to the harvest seasons. Exodus 23:14-17 states:
Exo 23:14 You shall keep a feast to Me three times in the year.
Exo 23:15 You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. You shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. And no one shall appear before Me empty.
Exo 23:16 Also the Feast of Harvest, the first-fruits of your labors, which you have sown in the field. Also the Feast of Ingathering, in the end of the year, when you have gathered in your labors out of the field.
Exo 23:17 Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord God.
This passage identifies the three feasts: the Feast of Unleavened Bread (associated with Passover), the Feast of Harvest (Shavuot, or Pentecost), and the Feast of Ingathering (Sukkot, or Tabernacles). These were pilgrimage festivals requiring all males to journey to the place Yehovah chose—initially the Tabernacle and later the Temple in Jerusalem—to present themselves before Him.
Deuteronomy expands on this command, reinforcing the centrality of these gatherings in Israel’s spiritual life. Deuteronomy 16:16-17 reads:
Deu 16:16 Three times in a year shall all your males appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose: in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and in the Feast of Weeks, and in the Feast of Tabernacles. And they shall not appear before Jehovah empty,
These appearances were opportunities to renew covenantal faithfulness, offer sacrifices, and celebrate Yehovah’s provision. They reminded the people of their exodus from Egypt (Unleavened Bread), the giving of the Torah at Sinai (Shavuot), and Yehovah’s sustenance during the wilderness wanderings (Sukkot).
Do Not Appear Empty-Handed: The Call to Generous Offering
Yehovah’s command extends beyond mere attendance; it includes a heart of giving. The Scriptures explicitly prohibit appearing before Him without an offering, tying worship to tangible expressions of gratitude. Deuteronomy 16:16-17 continues:
Deu 16:17 but each with his gift in his hand, according to the blessing of Jehovah your God, which He has given you.
This principle emphasizes proportionality—offerings should reflect the blessings received from Yehovah. Whether firstfruits, animals, or other gifts, the act of bringing something symbolized dependence on Yehovah and acknowledgment of His sovereignty over all provision. It also taught the community to cultivate generosity, ensuring that worship was active and participatory rather than passive.
In practical terms, this meant preparing in advance for the feasts, aligning one’s resources with devotion. For modern believers observing these times, this could translate to offerings of time, talents, or finances dedicated to Yehovah’s work, always given cheerfully and according to one’s ability.
Converting the Tithe: From Produce to Joyful Feasting
To facilitate participation in these feasts, especially for those travelling from afar, Yehovah provided instructions on handling the tithe—a tenth of one’s produce. Deuteronomy 14:22-27 outlines a unique provision allowing the conversion of tithes into cash for use at the feasts:
Deu 14:22 You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed that the field brings forth year by year.
Deu 14:23 And you shall eat before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose to place His name there, the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the first-born of your herds and of your flocks, so that you may learn to fear Jehovah your God always.
Deu 14:24 And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it, or if the place is too far from you, which Jehovah your God shall choose to set His name there, when Jehovah your God has blessed you,
Deu 14:25 then you shall turn it into silver and bind up the silver in your hand, and shall go to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose.
Deu 14:26 And you shall pay that silver for whatever your soul desires, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul desires. And you shall eat there before Jehovah your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household
Deu 14:27 and the Levite within your gates, you shall not forsake him, for he has no part nor inheritance with you.
This “second tithe” (distinct from the tithe for Levites) was set aside specifically for the pilgrimage feasts. If transporting produce was impractical, it could be sold and the proceeds used to purchase food, drink, or anything the heart desired at the feast site. The goal was enjoyment and rejoicing before Yehovah, turning the tithe into a means of communal celebration. This command highlights Yehovah’s desire for His people to experience abundance and pleasure in worship, not austerity. It also ensured inclusivity, as families, servants, and even the Levites were able to participate.
For contemporary observers, this encourages saving resources throughout the year to fund joyful feast attendance, perhaps through dedicated savings for travel, meals, and fellowship. Just pause and think for a moment what Yehovah is telling you. He is telling you to take 10% of your income and tithe it towards yourself, and then use that tithe money you have saved and spent it on whatever you desire at the Feast, so your JOY will be full. All religions want you to give them your tithe, but none of them tell you to save a tithe for yourself. What an awesome Yehovah we have.
Rejoicing at Sukkot: The Command to Be Joyful
Among the three feasts, Sukkot stands out as a time of particular joy, often referred to as the “Season of Our Rejoicing.” Deuteronomy 16:13-15 commands:
Deu 16:13 You shall keep the Feast of Tabernacles seven days after you have gathered in your grain floor and your wine press.
Deu 16:14 And you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male slave, and your slave-girl, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow inside your gates.
Deu 16:15 Seven days you shall keep a solemn feast to Jehovah your God in the place which Jehovah shall choose. Because Jehovah your God shall bless you in all your increase, and in all the works of your hands, therefore you shall surely rejoice.
This passage mandates inclusive joy, extending to all social strata, and ties it to Yehovah’s blessings on the harvest. Leviticus 23:40 adds:
Lev 23:40 And you shall take the fruit of majestic trees for yourselves on the first day, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the valley. And you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God seven days.
The waving of branches (lulav and etrog) symbolizes praise and thanksgiving, creating an atmosphere of exuberant worship. Sukkot’s joy stems from its themes of divine provision, temporary dwellings (sukkahs) that recall the wilderness, and the anticipation of a future ingathering.
Yehovah’s call to appear before Him three times a year remains a timeless invitation to prioritize worship, generosity, and joy. By not coming empty-handed and using resources like the converted tithe for feasting, believers honour Yehovah’s provision while building community. Especially at Sukkot, the emphasis on rejoicing reminds us that true worship delights in Yehovah’s presence. For all those who claim to know God and are seeking biblical alignment, observing these feasts today—through gatherings, offerings, and celebration—can deepen faith and prepare hearts for the ultimate ingathering in the Messianic age. As Deuteronomy 16:15 assures, “your joy will be complete” when we follow His ways. Getting to know each other and our quirks and what makes each of us laugh is how we build a community of Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Yehovah. Count me in!!!
The Book of Life
The Book of Life
The Book of Life is referenced seven times in the Book of Revelation. Let us read them and consider what is being revealed to us.
1 And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars says these things. I know your works, that you have a name that you live, and are dead. 2 Be watchful and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die. For I have not found your works being fulfilled before God. 3 Remember then how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments. And they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who overcomes, this one will be clothed in white clothing. And I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 3:1-6)
5 And a mouth speaking great things was given to it, and blasphemies. And authority was given to it to continue forty-two months. 6 And it opened its mouth in blasphemy toward God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, and those dwelling in Heaven. 7 And it was given to it to war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and tongue and nation. 8 And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain, from the foundation of the world. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into captivity will go into captivity. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed by a sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:5-10)
7 And the angel said to me, Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, that has the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to ascend out of the abyss and go into perdition. And those dwelling on the earth will marvel, those whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (Revelation 17:7-8)
11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And a place was not found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. 15 And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)
22 And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, even the Lamb. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 And the nations of those who are saved will walk in the light of it; and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 And its gates may not be shut at all by day, for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. 27 And there shall in no way enter into it anything that defiles, or any making an abomination or a lie; but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Revelation 21:22-27)
19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book. (Revelation 22:19)
I want you all to reread this last verse very slowly. Anyone taking away the Words of this Book of prophecy will have their name removed from the Book of Life. I say this to those who still will not keep the commandments, saying they are done away. You have removed the Words of this Book and are in danger of having your name blotted out. I say this with the knowledge of the scriptures that are again found in the Book of Revelation.
At the end of this age, the dragon is going to make war with those who KEEP the commandments. That time is directly in front of us.
17 And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:17)
Anyone who says he or she believes in Jesus, claims to have faith in Jesus, this is awesome, but that also means that they must keep the commandments.
12 Here is the patience of the saints. Here are the ones who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. (Revelation 14:12)
Abraham also believed in Yehovah and obeyed.
6 And he believed (H539 aman) in Jehovah. And He counted it to him for righteousness. (Genesis 15:6)
H539 Aman (verb) = to support, confirm, be faithful
This belief, or faith, translated into Abraham obeying Yehovah’s voice. Yehovah didn’t know Abraham’s faith until he obeyed His voice and offered his son.
12 And He said, Do not lay your hand on the lad, nor do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only one, from Me. (Genesis 22:12)
Abraham’s belief in Yehovah was the same as his faith in Yehovah. If you say you believe and that you have faith, then it means you must obey, which means you keep the commandments, statutes and laws of Yehovah.
5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My Laws. (Genesis 26:5)
With just these two verses alone from the Book of Revelation mentioned above, it is very clear that one of the signs of God’s people is that they are COMMANDMENT KEEPERS. This does not sound like the commandments of God being nailed to the cross, as many churches tell their congregants.
Those who keep harping that the commandments are part of the Old Testament and that we are a New Testament Church should consider these verses just in the Book of Revelation. Most assuredly, the Book of Revelation is found in the NEW Testament.
Let me drill down on this some more. Those who keep the commandments are those who do His commandments. These are those who obey Him and then are given the Holy Spirit.
32 And we are His witnesses of these things. And so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him. (Acts 5:32)
The truth is plain, simple, and VERY OBVIOUS. If you want to be found in the Book of Life, you need to keep the commandments.
With all of this in mind, now read the very last verses in the entire Bible and again notice who will have authority over the Tree of Life. It will be those who do His commandments. Not those who have done away with them.
12 And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according as his work is. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last. 14 Blessed are they who do His commandments, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and they may enter in by the gates into the city. 15 But outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and makes a lie. 16 I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright and Morning Star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one hearing say, Come! And let the one who is thirsty come. And he willing, let him take of the Water of Life freely. 18 For I testify together to everyone who hears the Words of the prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add on him the plagues that have been written in this Book. 19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book. 20 He who testifies these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly, Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen. (Revelation 22:12-21)
The expression “May your name be found in the Book of Life” is said during the 10 Days of Awe. It is a reminder that you must repent (“teshuva”) of your sins from breaking the commandments. You are not only to repent but also to pray for forgiveness (“tefilah”). You are also expected to make recompense for anything you have done or harm you have caused. This is done in the way of “tzedakah,” or good deeds. However, you only have 10 days to make the necessary changes, or you may not be inscribed in the books and sealed for the year.
The trials and tribulations we discuss in this book last ten years, not ten days. The 10 Days of Awe are ten Years of Awe—of repentance, prayer, and charitable works.
At the end of these 10 Years of Awe, which include the final 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation, may YOU be sealed, and may YOUR name be found in the Book of Life.
The concept of the “Book of Life” weaves through the Scriptures as a profound symbol of divine judgment, mercy, and eternal destiny. Often depicted as a heavenly ledger where names are inscribed based on one’s relationship with Yehovah, it represents the assurance of salvation for the righteous and a warning for the unrepentant. While the Bible does not explicitly detail a yearly “opening and closing” of this book, Jewish tradition—rooted in biblical themes of judgment and atonement—associates it with the High Holy Days of Yom teruah and Yom Kippur. During this period, known as the Ten Days of Awe, believers reflect on their lives, seek forgiveness, and pray for inscription in the Book of Life. This practice underscores the vital link between repentance, obedience to Yehovah’s commandments, and ultimate redemption.
In this article, we explore all relevant Scriptures mentioning the Book of Life (or equivalent concepts like the “book of the living” or “book of remembrance”), explain the tradition of the books being closed at the end of Yom Kippur, discuss the common greeting “May your name be inscribed in the Book of Life,” and connect these elements to the biblical imperatives of repentance and commandment-keeping.
The Bible references the Book of Life across both the Old and New Testaments, portraying it as a divine record of those who belong to Yehovah. These verses emphasize themes of righteousness, judgment, and the consequences of sin or faithfulness. Old Testament References
Exodus 32:32-33: In the aftermath of the golden calf incident, Moses intercedes for Israel, saying, “Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.” God replies, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.”
This is one of the earliest mentions, implying a book where names can be added or removed based on sin and forgiveness.
Psalm 69:28: David prays against his enemies:
“Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.” Here, it’s called the “book of the living,” associating inscription with righteousness.
Psalm 139:16: Though not directly naming the Book of Life, it speaks of Yehovah’s foreknowledge:
“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”
This suggests a divine record of life’s course.
Isaiah 4:3: “And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem.”
This implies a registry of the holy remnant.
Daniel 12:1: “At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book.”
This eschatological verse links the book to deliverance during end-time tribulation.
Malachi 3:16: “Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name.”
This “book of remembrance” honours those who revere God.
New Testament References
Luke 10:20: Jesus tells His disciples, “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
This implies a heavenly registry akin to the Book of Life.
Philippians 4:3: Paul writes, “And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.”
Hebrews 12:23: Referring to the “general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven.”
This speaks of names enrolled in heaven.
Revelation 3:5: “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”
Revelation 13:8: “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
Revelation 17:8: “And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world.”
Revelation 20:12: “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”
Revelation 20:15: “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 21:27: “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
Revelation 22:19: “And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
These verses collectively portray the Book of Life as a record of the faithful, with implications for eternal life or judgment.
The Closing of the Books at the End of Yom Kippur
While the Bible does not explicitly state that the Book of Life is opened on Rosh Hashanah and closed on Yom Kippur, this imagery draws from Jewish rabbinic tradition, particularly the Talmud (Rosh Hashanah 16b), which teaches that on Rosh Hashanah, the righteous are inscribed in the Book of Life, the wicked in the Book of Death, and those in between have until Yom Kippur to repent and secure a favorable decree.
This “sealing” at Yom Kippur’s end symbolizes the finalization of one’s fate for the coming year, inspired by biblical judgment motifs like Daniel 7:9-10 (thrones set, books opened) and the atonement rituals of Leviticus 16.
The tradition encourages intense self-examination during the Ten Days of Awe, as the “books” are metaphorically closed when the shofar sounds at Yom Kippur’s conclusion, sealing decrees of life, health, and prosperity—or the opposite.
During this time the greeting “L’shanah tovah tikateyvu v’tichatemu” (“May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year”) or simply “May your name be inscribed in the Book of Life” is exchanged from Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur. It reflects the belief that Yehovah reviews lives annually, inscribing names based on deeds, with a grace period for repentance until Yom Kippur’s sealing. This phrase invokes blessing and encourages mutual reflection, aligning with the High Holy Days’ focus on renewal. The Book of Life is inextricably linked to repentance (teshuvah) and obedience. Scriptures like Revelation 3:5 and Exodus 32:32-33 show that names can be blotted out due to sin but preserved through overcoming and forgiveness.
Repentance—turning from sin and returning to Yehovah—is key, as seen in Malachi 3:16, where fearing Yehovah and meditating on His name leads to inscription. Obeying commandments ensures righteousness; Psalm 69:28 contrasts the righteous with those blotted out. In tradition, teshuvah, prayer, and charity during the High Holy Days can avert severe decrees, securing a good inscription. Ultimately, as Revelation 20:12-15 reveals, judgment by works determines eternal fate, but faith in the Lamb (Yeshua) guarantees inscription (John 3:16; 1 John 5:3). The Book of Life thus calls believers to live repentantly and obediently, especially during seasons of awe, ensuring their names endure eternally.
