The New Moon of the Seventh Month Has been Sighted Blow the Shofar

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shalom Brethren,

Yom Teruah. The Day of shouting. Blow the Shofar for the New Moon has been sighted. This is the day and the hour that no man knows, not until the moon is sighted, and then and only then is this day known.

So shout for this day is now revealed and we are now in the last 10 days of the days of repentance. The ten Days of Awe have now begun and these ten days represent the last ten years before the Messiah returns. His return comes when Satan is locked away at the end of the tribulation. These ten years include the 7 years that Israel will be in captivity. It is while they are in captivity that they will be in deep repentance as each of us must be during the next ten days, for our sins we have done this past year.

They represent the final ten years of judgment on the rest of the world. Israel, in prophetic chronology has already gone into captivity. She is on her death bed and about to die during these Ten Days of Awe.

Every love story in history revolves around this one truth. The fair maiden is not able to pay the mean land lord. She is evicted and then tied to the train tracks watching the train coming towards her. Then to the rescue just in the nick of time comes Dudley Do-right, A Royal Canadian Mounty and he rescues her just in time before the train would have run her over. But first he has to fight the villain and defeat him. In so doing Dudley is injured and looks as though he is going to die too.

All of these love stories are about Yeshua who was injured by Satan. But Yeshua rises to the occasion and destroys the armies of Satan and rescues his future bride just before she is annihilated. The preceding 30 days which we have gone through represent the time when Satan is wreaking havoc on the world. Yeshua is the Hero of this real life drama, and these last Ten Days of Awe which culminate at the Day of Atonement when you will find out if your name is written in the book of life.

Also for those of you who are new. This day is a Holy Day. It is the Feast of Trumpets. You can learn more about the Holy Days as written in Lev 23 by going to one of the following links, http://www.beyondtoday.tv/booklets/HD/ or http://www.thetrumpet.com/index.php?page=book&q=1247.6.0.0
You can write to these two groups for the literature. I do not agree with all these two groups teach, but for the new person the information above is a valuable aid in your learning.
Here is a short 2 minute video from Rebecca at the Well Ministry about the Wedding of the Bride and Groom as it pertains to this day.

Mat 25:1 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Mark 13: Mark 13:28 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near–at the doors! 30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming–in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning– 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

We have waited until the New Moon was sighted from Jerusalem. We have not known at what hour or even which day this would occur. It could have been today or tomorrow. Clouds may have obscured the sighting, or haze, we just did not know and had no way of knowing. Not until the moon is actually seen. Then and only then do we know when the Feast of Shouting, the Feast of Trumpets, the Yom Teruah actually starts. Only when the Moon is sighted; Until then no man knows the day or the hour, so we watch.

It is on this day that the Messiah will come, so as the bride of the Messiah have you made yourself ready? When you see the moon tonight it will be time, so until then get ready. You have just a few hours left in the western hemisphere. In the eastern hemisphere the time has already come so rejoice and make a loud noise. Blow the shofar and let the people know the Bride Groom comes.

Go and watch for the silver crescent of the moon after the sun has set. And wait for it. Watch for it. You do not know at what time you will see it but watch. DO this with your whole family or with others in your congregation. Make a celebration of this awesome event and time of the year as you are witnessing the clock of Yahweh reach it’s appointed time. Tick tock tick tock.

Last night my wife came out with me on Saturday night. I knew we could not see the new moon but we went just in case and she came along. We found a hill where we could see the whole horizon with all the beautiful colors of the sun setting and the stars appearing; just her and I in a farmer’s field. We played some Gaelic and Scottish and Irish songs as we sat there in the car and admired the beauty of the moment.

We will do the same tonight and we will rejoice. I do not know why she is coming but I am not going to question it. Many of you are praying for her. Here are some of the results.

I urge you to do the same tonight. So get ready and go as a family to bring in the Feast of Trumpets tonight. Go and watch for the new Moon to after sunset. Then let the Shofar be sounded all the way around the world for all of the heavens to hear.

The Feast of Trumpets is Monday Sept 21 beginning the Night before at sunset.

The Day of Atonement is a solemn Fast day when no one is to eat anything. This day is 10 days later and this year will be on Sept 30 and begins at Sunset the day before.

The Feast of Tabernacles will then be 5 days after this and will begin on Monday October 5. This is when the Law is to be read during this Sabbatical Year. Those of you who are keeping this Sabbatical year should read Exodus 20, Lev 19, 25, 26 And we are going to read all of Deuteronomy in Jerusalem this year on this day over the Gihon Spring where the Temple once stood and on the Mount of Olives where the Messiah was killed because we did not keep these laws. I hope you will do the same, with your families and friend and let everyone read some of the law;Men and women, Sons and daughters. Let everyone take part.

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. Bottom Line. May Yahweh bless you and show you His truths as you begin to keep His commandments. All of them and not just the ones you think are important. All of them are important.

Shabbat Shalom
