The Meaning of the Eighth Day Feast (Pt. 1 – “Wisdom & Righteousness”)

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family,

Last week I spoke to you about the Feast of Chanukah and how Yehshua actually kept this Feast on the Eighth Day of Sukkot.
As I wrote that article I was excited to see so many prophetic teachings all in that one celebration. But from what I read many of you have missed the boat about this most awesome day. I pray it ain’t so.

So I want to go back and go over this day again with you all. The symbolism and what it pertains to. The words of Yehshua and what they mean, not meant.

Ask yourself, how is this Eighth Day related to the Feast of Sukkot?

How does Pentecost tie into it and what does that mean to us and to those who have already died? Did they go to heaven or did they go to hell? Where are they now?
How does Passover relate to the Eighth Day?
What about the water libation, what does it mean?
What about the lighting of the giant Menorahs, what do they mean?
How has Satan tried to hijack this most Holy Day and deceived the entire world? Yes, even you.
How is Yom Teruah tied into this special day? And Yom Kippur, how does it fit the meaning of this day?
And of course you know I am going to ask you about how the Jubilee year, the Yovel is connected to this most important of all the Holy Days?

Is the Sabbath also associated with this the Eighth Day and if so how?
Just from the questions I am asking you, you should know me well enough to know that I am asking you these things because most of you do not know how all the Holy Days of Lev 23 from the Sabbath to each one of the Holy Days themselves and the Sabbatical and Jubilee years all point, YES, THEY ALL POINT TO THIS ONE MOST SPECIAL HOLY DAY. And few there are who teach you about it.
Before you can understand these Holy Days you will need wisdom, understanding and knowledge.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him. 6  But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
Proverbs 2:10-11  for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you,
Proverbs 1:7  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Job 28:28  And he said to man, ’Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,  and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
James 1:5  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
1 Kings 3:5-12  At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, “Ask what I shall give you.” And Solomon said, “You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day. And now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in.  And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?” It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this. And God said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right, behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.
Daniel 2:21  He changes times and seasons;  he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;
Psalm 119:66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
Proverbs 16:22 Good sense is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the instruction of fools is folly.
Proverbs 1:5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,
Ecclesiastes 7:12 For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
Pro 2:1  My son, if you will receive my words and hide my commandments with you, 2  so that you attend to wisdom, you shall extend your heart to understanding; 3  yea, if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding; 4  if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, 5  then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah and find the knowledge of God. 6  For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7  He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. 8  He keeps the paths of judgment, and guards the way of His saints. 9  Then you shall understand righteousness and judgment and honesty, every good path.10  When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasing to your soul; 11  judgment shall keep you, understanding shall keep you, 12  to deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man who speaks wicked things; 13  those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness, 14  who rejoice to do evil and delight in the perversities of the wicked; 15  whose ways are crooked, and are devious in their paths.
Pro 4:4  He also taught me, and said to me, Let your heart hold fast my words, keep my commandments and live. 5  Get wisdom, get understanding; forget not; nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6  Do not forsake her, and she shall preserve you; love her, and she shall keep you. 7  Wisdom is the main thing; get wisdom; and with all your getting get understanding. 8  Prize her, and she shall lift you up; she shall bring you to honor when you embrace her. 9  She shall give to your hand an ornament of grace; she shall shield you with a crown of glory. 10  Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of your life shall be many. 11  I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in the right paths. 12  When you go, your steps shall not be narrowed, and when you run, you shall not stumble. 13  Take fast hold of instruction; do not let go; keep her; for she is your life.

Before you go any further, stop. Go before Yehovah and ask for Understanding and Knowledge by which you can then gain wisdom and learn the will of Yehovah. That is the plan of salvation which is revealed to us through His Holy Days. You will need this wisdom in order to put together the pieces of knowledge you are about to come to understand. So go and ask Yehovah for this wisdom now.
We are told again in Proverbs the fear is the beginning of wisdom.

Pro 9:10  The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

It was Solomon, the wisest man to ever live who wrote at the end of his life in the very last verses of his book of Ecclesiastes what is the whole purpose of life.

Ecc. 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this is the whole duty of man.

That is the duty of each man. We are to keep the commandments. It is by doing this that we show our respect for our Father Yehovah. A respectful fear of not keeping his commandments.

John 14:15  If you love Me, keep My commandments.

It is by keeping these commandments, which include the 4th commandment to keep the Sabbath Holy, the Holy Days at the appointed times and the Sabbatical and Jubilee years at the proper time, it is by keeping the commandments that we show our respect and love for Yehovah.

John 14:21  He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
1Jn 2:3  And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.

It is by the keeping of those commandments that we come to know Yehovah and He us. By keeping those Holy Days we come to understand His plan of salvation for all of mankind. Those who claim to love Him but refuse to keep His commandments, those who refuse to keep the Sabbath each week from Sunset Friday to Sunset Saturday, those who refuse to keep the Holy Days and those who refuse to keep them at the appointed times, and those who refuse to keep the Sabbatical years, do not and cannot know Him, because He is revealed to us through those appointments when we are commanded to go and meet with Him.

As you have just read it is by the keeping of the commandments that we are perfected, yet many claim you cannot be perfect and therefore they do not even try to obey. Yet you just read that those who keep His commandments, that the love of Yehovah is perfected in them. Even Yehshua tells us to be perfect. We are to strive towards this goal.

Mat 5:48  Therefore be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.

Many claim that to keep the commandments is a burden, that the keeping of the law is a burden and will cramp their lifestyle. Yet that is not what the Apostles tell us. Over and over again we are told that those who keep the commandments are those who love Yehovah and that this is how we are to be perfected, and that they are not a burden.

1 Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.

If the keeping of the law is such a burden as these people say, then why do we read in Psalms how much of a blessing it is to actually keep them?

Psa 119:1  ALEPH: Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the Law of Jehovah. 2 Blessed are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek Him with all the heart.

Once again, if you want wisdom, understanding and knowledge then you must keep the commandments. It is how you love Yehovah. If you want to put on righteousness then you must once again keep the commandments, and they include the 4th one about the Sabbath and Holy Days and Sabbatical years.

Read again what David says in this Psalm. The fear of Yehovah is the keeping of the commandments. Great Peace have those who keep the commandments. Salvation is given to those who keep the commandments. Wisdom is given to those who keep the commandments. All of His commandments are righteousness and it is that righteousness that we must put on in order to be at the wedding feast.

Psa 119:161  SHIN: Princes have persecuted me without a cause, but my heart stands in fear of Your Word.
Psa 119:162  I rejoice at Your Word, as one who finds great spoil.
Psa 119:163  I hate and despise lying; but I love Your Law.
Psa 119:164  I praise You seven times a day because of Your righteous judgments.
Psa 119:165  Great peace is to those who love Your Law, and there is no stumbling block for them.
Psa 119:166  Jehovah, I have hoped for Your salvation, and have done Your Commandments.
Psa 119:167  My soul has kept Your testimonies; and I love them very much.
Psa 119:168  I have kept Your Commandments and Your testimonies; for all my ways are before You.
Psa 119:169  TAU: Let my cry come near to You, O Jehovah; give me wisdom according to Your Word.
Psa 119:170  Let my prayer come before You; deliver me according to Your Word.
Psa 119:171  My lips shall utter praise, when You have taught me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:172  My tongue shall speak Your Word, for all Your Commandments are righteousness.

Do you see it? Did you get it? You have to be keeping the commandments in order to put on righteousness and you need this in order to be at the wedding feast.

Mat 22:2  The kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who made a marriage for his son. 3  And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come. 4  Again he sent out other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage. 5  But not caring, they went their ways, one to his field, another to his trading. 6  And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7  But when the king heard, he was angry. And he sent out his armies and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8  Then he said to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy. 9  Therefore go into the exits of the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite them to the marriage. 10  So the servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was filled with reclining guests. 11  And the king coming in to look over the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12  And he said to him, Friend, how did you come in here without having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13  Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14  For many are called, but few chosen.

It is this righteousness that we must put on if we want to be at that wedding.

Rev 6:9  And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held. 10  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Until when, Master, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? 11  And white robes were given to each one of them. And it was said to them that they should rest yet for a little time, until both their fellow servants and their brothers (those about to be killed as they were ) should have their number made complete.
Rev 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice and we will give glory to Him. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white. For the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.

We are commanded to put on righteousness. Yes, it is something we must do. How do we do that? By keeping the commandments and the Holy Days and appointed times.

Eph 6:12  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world’s rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness 15and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. 16  Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Job 29:14  I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my judgment was like a robe and a diadem.
Isa 61:10  I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul will be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the robes of salvation, He covered me with the robe of righteousness like a bridegroom adorns himself with ornaments, and like a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Here again it is alluded to that the when we put on this righteousness, when we keep the commandments, it is as if we were a bride adorning herself with jewels. Stop and think: what does the Feast of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles mean and what comes at the end of that Feast? The Feast of the Eighth day. Are you beginning to see the connections being drawn out for you? Are starting to gain the wisdom from above about how you achieve salvation and how the Eighth Day is a huge part of the plan of Salvation?
We will continue now in order to make sure you do understand.
Let us go to the actual commandment in Lev 23 and read it to gain our clues from it.

Lev 23:33  And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying, 34 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to Jehovah. 35 On the first day shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor. 36 Seven days you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah. On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you. And you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah. It is a solemn assembly. And you shall do no work of labor.

From this commandment to keep the Eighth Day Holy you are to understand what it’s meaning is. Maybe not, but we do know it is a Holy Day. This is a mystery that you are to solve and understand. So let us begin with the parables Yehshua gave to the masses and to the Apostles.

Mat 13:1  In that day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the seaside. 2  And great crowds were gathered to Him, so that He went into a boat and sat. And all the crowd stood on the shore. 3  And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow. 4  And as he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured them. 5  Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth. And they sprang up immediately, because they had no deepness of earth. 6  And the sun rising, they were scorched, and because they had no root, they withered away. 7  And some fell among thorns. And the thorns sprung up and choked them. 8  And some fell on the good ground and yielded fruit, indeed one a hundredfold, and one sixty, and one thirty. 9  He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 10  And the disciples said to Him, Why do You speak to them in parables?

Listen carefully to the answer Yehshua give them. This is important.

11  He answered and said to them, Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them. 12  For whoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance. But whoever does not have, from him shall be taken away even that which he has. 13  Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not; nor do they understand. 14  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which said, “By hearing you shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see and shall not perceive; 15  for this people’s heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”

Do you understand this? Do you get what Yehshua is saying here? Read the prophecy in Isaiah and understand that this was being spoken to both then in Yehshua’s time and today, to those who kept the Sabbath and Holy Days and Sabbatical years. Yes, they kept them but they were just going through the motions. They were obeying physically but not with their minds seeking to understand. They just did as they were told. Their zeal was for themselves and not for others.

Isa 6:8  And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I; send me! And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. 11 Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, 12 and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great. 13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return and be consumed like the terebinth and like the oak being felled, yet has its stump; the holy seed is its stump.

So are some of you. You keep the Sabbath but have no desire to learn more. Some of you spend your Sabbath shopping. Others hunting of wild game and then butchering on the Sabbath. Some go out to eat on the Sabbath causing others to serve you in the restaurants. You all can justify anything you want to do on the Sabbath. Few of you study into His words to learn about Him on a deeper level. No you spend it watching the football games or a movie, you waste your Sabbath time talking about your employment situation or the kids and relatives and you gossip about one another. Those that do this are the ones being spoken of here whose hearts are fat and whose ears are heavy with knowledge but never connecting the dots, never understanding, never asking Yehovah for wisdom and knowledge and understanding. Just going through the motions each week.

After last week’s News Letter I got the following email.
Hey Joe,
Unless you changed your mind since last year, you’re WRONG about The Feast of Dedication, which Yahuhsua Messiah was there teaching on.  If you wipe out Hanukkah, you wipe out the connection between the Old and New Testaments, Alexander the great, how the pagans took the Torah and put their own man-made gods names in place of the name YHWH, and SO MUCH MORE important history. I didn’t even mention how Hanukkah ties to the conception of The Messiah, or how the pagans did sacrifice a PIG on YAH’s ALTAR  These things are waaaay to important to ignore Joe! I love Yahushua Messiah, so I WILL keep on celebrating Chanukkah!

Sincerely,
Tribe of Joseph (Ephrayim)!
This is a perfect example of someone with their ears fattened, hearing but not understanding and seeing they do not see. Even though I laid out all the facts in last week’s News letter this person refused to accept them but instead remained in their own false teachings. Full of information but not obeying the commandment not to add to the Torah.

Rev 3:14  And to the angel of the church of the Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Head of the creation of God, says these things: 15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and have sat down with My Father in His throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Many of you reading this News Letter either belong to or used to belong to one of the over 800 Church of God groups. I am telling you that the Churches of God are this Laodicean church being spoken of and it is high time to get off your self righteous horse and begin to obey Yehovah and keep the Sabbatical year in 2016 and to then teach the people the wealth of knowledge that you do have. Your ears are fat and yet you do not teach it nor share it. You put out those who are growing because they have run ahead of you and you refuse to catch up to them. WAKE UP before it is too late. Humble yourself before you are forced to be humbled by the coming plague. Do not point at someone else and say this is that group or that other one. No, point the finger at yourself and your group and change now. Read Isaiah again and then Rev 2:14 and then the parable Yehshua was speaking about the grains of wheat. Know and understand that this is some of you falling by the wayside, being overcome by the ways of the world. Repent now while you can. Get on your knees and ask for help now.
I was recently told about a Bishop who has humbled himself and is seeking to learn about the Sabbatical years. Are any of you ready to humble yourselves or is your pride still your main concern?
Did you notice the part about the white robes? Laodicea, if you do not have on the white robes you will not be at the wedding feast.

Rev 16:15  Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.

Continuing with Mathew 13:

Mat 13:16  But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17  For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them. 18  Therefore hear the parable of the sower. 19  When anyone hears the Word of the kingdom and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown by the wayside.

Over and over the message to the churches is:

Rev 3:22  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Another meaning of the word ‘hear’ is to understand. Far too many in the churches hear but have no understanding of the Holy Days or the Sabbatical year and what they mean. Far too many do not understand the importance of keeping the Sabbath Day Holy as well as the appointed times.

We started this session by telling you to stop everything and ask for understanding and knowledge and wisdom. You hear the word of Yehovah, your ears are fat with those things spoken of in your bible, BUT YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS. You do not keep the Sabbath, or you keep it but break it in other ways. You refuse to keep the Holy Days or you keep them on the weekend because it is convenient, or you keep them at the wrong time using the wrong calendar. And many of you refuse to keep the Sabbatical year, saying it is only for in the land of Israel. This is why you cannot understand. Start to keep them now if you want to grow and understand and be in the Kingdom which will be keeping them.

20  But that which was sown on the stony places is this: he who hears the Word and immediately receives it with joy. 21  But he has no root in himself, and is temporary. For when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the Word, he immediately stumbles. 22  And that sown into the thorns is this: he who hears the Word; and the anxiety of this world, and the deceit of riches, choke the Word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Unfruitful….you will know them by their fruits.

Gal 5:13  For, brothers, you were called to liberty. Only do not use the liberty for an opening to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you are not consumed by one another. 16 I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary to one another; lest whatever you may will, these things you do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

If you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law. This is so often quoted but so rarely understood. Let me now quote the related scriptures for this one verse. You are not under the law if you obey the law. Those who do not keep the law are the ones under the penalty of the law. If you obey, you are not under the law. If you do not obey, you are under the curse of the law.

Gal 4:6  And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Psa 25:4  Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths. 5  Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long. 6  Remember, O Jehovah, Your tender mercies and Your loving-kindnesses; for they are from eternity. 7  Do not remember the sins of my youth, or my rebellings; according to Your mercy remember me for Your goodness’ sake, O Jehovah. 8  Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore He will teach sinners in the way. 9  The meek He will guide in judgment; and the meek He will teach His way. 10  All the paths of Jehovah are mercy and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
Psa 143:8  Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for I do trust in You; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. 9  Deliver me, O Jehovah, from my enemies; I flee to You to hide me. 10  Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God; Your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Pro 8:20  I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment;

It is Yehovah and it is by His spirit that we are led in the way of righteousness, which we have just stated in the keeping of the commandments. Do not let people say they are led by the spirit and no longer have to keep the law. That is a lie, as we also have shown you in previous verses.

Isa 48:16  Come near to Me, hear this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning. From its being, I was there; and now the Lord Jehovah, and His Spirit, has sent Me. 17  So says Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, I am Jehovah your God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go. 18  Oh that you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Yehovah and His spirit plead with you that if only you had kept the Commandments, then all these good things would have come to you.

Eze 36:27  And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them.
Joh 16:13  However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come.
Rom 8:12  Therefore, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.13  For if you live according to the flesh, you shall die. But if you through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live. 14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15  For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father!
2Ti 1:7  For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

If you love me keep the commandments. Those who keep the commandments have no fear and are confident in the salvation of Yehovah for they are no longer slaves or in bondage to sin. By keeping the commandments you are free from sin and the penalties of the law. Those who will not keep the commandments are in bondage to sin and are under the law.

1 Jn 2:20  But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21  I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and know that no lie is of the truth. 22  Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He who denies the Father and the Son is antichrist. 23  Everyone who denies the Son neither has the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father. 24  Therefore what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you will abide in both the Son and in the Father. 25  And this is the promise that He has promised us: everlasting life. 26  These things I have written to you concerning those leading you astray. 27  But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him. 28  And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He is revealed, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him in His coming. 29  If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who does righteousness has been born of Him.

Again, righteousness is the keeping of the commandments. As we return to Galatians and the fruits of the flesh notice the one about being a drunkard. There are many of you reading this who cannot stay away from the bottle. You claim you are not a drunk and yet you are. Go for one month without drinking wine or hard liquor. My bet is that you cannot do it and that proves my point. You need help and need to get off this lust of the flesh that you deny. The same goes for those who are obese and can’t control their lusts. Are you aware of the 10th commandment not to covet? Does it not cover most of the works of the flesh which you’re about to read?

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become glory-seeking, provoking one another, envying one another.

There is no penalty or falling under the penalty of the law when you obey the law, when you keep the commandments.
Returning to Matthew and the wheat seeds that were cast about:

Mat 13:23  But that sown on the good ground is this: he who hears the Word and understands; who also bears fruit and produces one truly a hundredfold; and one sixty; and one thirty.

And here we must go to the parable about the talents. Do not take your understanding of the word, your knowledge of the word nor your wisdom of the word of Yehovah and hide it in your closet where no one can see it. No, you are to speak out and tell as many as you can the truths of His Torah. You cannot just come to the assembly and then go home afterwards feeling you have done your duty. You are to teach your children, your other family members and society around you. To you it has been revealed and Yehovah expects you to share those truths with others as best you can. What is the treasure Yehovah has given you? It is His words and His truth, so share them. You are, after all, called to be Kings and Priest in His coming Kingdom. The number of cities under your authority will depend on how well you spread the word.

Mat 25:14  For it is as if a man going abroad called his own servants and gave them his goods. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once. 16 And going he who had received the five talents traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two, he also gained another two. 18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s silver. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and took account with them. 20 And so he who had received five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered five talents to me. Behold, I have gained five talents above them. 21 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered two talents to me. Behold, I have gained two other talents above them. 23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. 24 And he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you were a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. 25 And I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the earth. Lo, you have yours. 26 His lord answered and said to him, Evil and slothful servant! You knew that I reaped where I did not sow, and gathered where I did not scatter, 27 then you should have put my money to the exchangers, and coming I would have received my own with interest. 28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will abound. But from him who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him. 30 And throw the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:24  He put out another parable to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel among the wheat and went his way. 26  But when the blade had sprung up and had produced fruit, then the darnel also appeared. 27  So the servants of the householder came and said to him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Then where have the darnel come from? 28  He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Then do you want us to go and gather them up? 29  But he said, No, lest while you gather up the darnel you also root up the wheat with them. 30  Let both grow together until the harvest. And in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather together the darnel and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my granary. 31  He put out another parable to them, saying, The kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; 32  which indeed is the least of all seeds, but when it is grown it is the greatest among herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches. 33  He spoke another parable to them: The kingdom of Heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal until the whole was leavened. 34  Jesus spoke all these things to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak to them without a parable, 35  so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.” 36  Then sending the crowds away, Jesus went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field. 37  He answered and said to them, He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man; 38  the field is the world; the good seed are the sons of the kingdom; but the darnel are the sons of the evil one. 39  The enemy who sowed them is the Devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40  Therefore as the darnel are gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be in the end of this world. 41  The Son of Man shall send out His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who do iniquity, 42  and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Having now read this you must now read what it says in Ezekiel. Where are the angels doing this destruction? Then who are the darnel? Are they not also part of the tribes of Israel and Judah? That is why you cannot tell them apart other than by their fruit.

Eze 9:1  And He cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, Let the overseers of the city draw near, even each with his destroying weapon in his hand. 2  And behold, six men came from the way of the Upper Gate which faces north, and each had his shattering weapon in his hand. And one man among them was clothed with linen, and a writer’s inkhorn by his side. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar. 3  And the glory of the God of Israel had gone on from the cherub, where it was on it, to the threshold of the house. And He called to the man clothed in linen, with the writer’s inkhorn by his side. 4  And Jehovah said to him, Go through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning because of all the abominations that are done in her midst. 5  And He said to those in my hearing, Go over in the city after him, and strike. Let not your eye spare, nor have pity. 6  Fully destroy old men, young men and virgins, and little children and women. But do not come near any man on whom is the mark. And begin at My sanctuary. And they began at the old men who were before the house. 7  And He said to them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out! And they went out and killed in the city. 8  And it happened as they were slaying them, and I remained, then I fell on my face and cried, and said, Ah Lord Jehovah! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in Your pouring out of Your fury on Jerusalem? 9  And He said to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is great, and the land is full of blood, and the city is full of perversity. For they say, Jehovah has forsaken the land; and, Jehovah does not see. 10  And even I, My eye shall not spare, nor will I have pity, but I will put their way on their head.

Make note of these facts. When Ezekiel was given this prophecy Israel was already in captivity for over 100 years. Judah was already in captivity except Jerusalem had not yet been destroyed, so it could apply to that time. But notice that Ezekiel was witnessing the destruction in verse 8. Then after this or as this event was taking place, the man with the ink horn comes back having finished marking those who would be saved. It is my opinion that this is yet future and you are the ones who will or will not have that mark on you. Again, depending on your fruits. Keep in mind those in 586 B.C. and those in 70 C.E. all kept the Sabbath and Holy Days. Yet they were killed and sent into captivity. Are you any better than they? What is the difference then?

Eze 9:11  And behold, the man clothed with linen, with the ink horn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as You have commanded me.

To be spared and to be marked as belonging to Yehovah you must be righteous, and that means you must be keeping the commandments and not just going through the motions and avoiding getting involved.

Mat 13:43  Then the righteous shall shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 44  Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which when a man has found it, he hides it, and for the joy of it goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. 45  Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls; 46  who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. 47  Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea, and gathered some of every kind; 48  which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 49  So it shall be at the end of the world. The angels shall come out and separate the wicked from among the just, 50  and shall cast them into the furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 51  Jesus said to them, Have you understood all these things? They said to Him, Yes, Lord. 52  Then He said to them, Therefore every scribe who is instructed to the kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out things new and old out of his treasure.

Do you understand what we have said thus far? Then you are those scribes. Bring out of your house of knowledge the old and the new treasures from His words and share them with others.
Again I remind you that we are talking about the Eighth Day Feast in all that we have covered thus far. It is a mystery that you are to figure out. Read it again now.

Pro 25:2  The glory of God is to hide a thing; but the honor of kings is to search out a matter. 3 The heavens for height, and the earth for depth, but the heart of kings is without searching. 4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the refiner. 5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be founded in righteousness.

You brethren are called to be those Kings, and you brethren are to search the scriptures to learn these truths, these mysteries that are hidden in plain sight.

1Co 4:1  So let a man think of us as ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1Ti 3:14  I write these things to you, hoping to come to you shortly. 15  But if I should delay, that you may know how you ought to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among nations, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.

Brethren, we have only just begun to scratch the surface of this awesome subject about the Eighth Day. I am going to stop here this week and give you time to digest those things I have said above. You really do not have time to waste. Use your Sabbath time wisely and learn these things and study them out. As a future King you must know them in order to enforce the laws of the Kingdom.
