Shabbat Shalom Brethren,

I have received emails asking about who I am dealing with in Israel concerning the farm. I have promised to keep their identity secret for their own safety. This has made some of you suspicious. This week there was the following article in Israel Today Magazine. http://www.israeltoday.co.il/tabid/178/nid/22679/Default.aspx?sms_ss=facebook&at_xt=4d6d9dc18931d0d0%2C0 I share this so you know. I do not want you to be ignorant of what is going on and what you will be walking into. I could show you much more but I do not want to do this as some of you will twist this in a wrong way. These things are brought about by those who go around missionizing. And it is mostly done by those who are Christian or have a heavy Christian theology.
If you are coming back to torah and are learning many of the old TRUTHS, then remember this one truth that Yehshua said.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Brethren when you let your light shine, you are keeping Torah. You are keeping Shabbat, and the Holy Days and people see it. They see you with your tsit tsit. But your mouth is silent unless you are asked or unless you are teaching on Shabbat in a place where people come to be taught. A light does not make any noise. Tonight turn on your light and listen to the wisdom it speaks to you and remember it every time you turn on the light switch. Then let your actions and the things you do be your witness and not your mouth or missionizing which angers more people than you convert.

Christians have forgotten what Yehshua also said to the Apostles Mat 10:5 ????? sent these twelve out, having commanded them, saying, “Do not go into the way of the gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Shomeronites, but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’?l.

The Apostles were commanded to go to Israel. How could they go if they did not know where they were? They did know; they were not lost as in not knowing how to get back home they were lost because of their idolatry and all the pagan things they worship which are exactly like many of the same things Christianity now worships today. Yes many of the things you worship in your Sunday Masses come from pagan idolatrous teachings and you want to convert the Jew to this? It is no wonder they get so upset.

Yehshua also said in Mat 15:24 And He answering, said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’?l.”

He did not say that He was there to save the Jews. Why not? Why was Yehshua not there to save the Jews? The answer is because they were not lost. For the most part they kept Torah. Israel, who today are mostly known in the Christian world as Christians, are the ones who are lost. Not Judah they know who their Elohim is. No they do not have it all right, but they have never been lost in idolatry like Ephraim is today. It was to the screwed up Christian idolaters that Yehshua came and it was to them the Apostles were sent.

Once you have kept the Torah, and the Sabbaths and the Holy Days and the Sabbatical years and have been killed for doing so then you can correct Judah, until such a time as that stop missionising the Jews and it will make returning Ephraim much easier.

It has come to my attention that one Ms Lucia Franks is not well. Her heart is only working at 35% capacity according to the Doctors. While I ask you to pray for her I want to tell you why you should pray for her as her heart has been working at 110% for the many inmates she copies and sends this News Letter and other teachings to each week.

Ms. Franks son is in prison and by sharing various teaching with her son she also learned that other young men needed to read these things too. She copied and printed them and then mailed them to her ever expanding list of inmates. Her son also now is teaching many men torah in prison.

As the inmates were transferred to other facilities, her letters would be shared and more men would come to know many truths that Messianic teachers are proclaiming by this one lady sending these messages to inmates in prisons all across the USA.

I have known of Ms. Franks and her son now for 2 years I think. Her work has never made her famous nor rich, yet she has done what needed to be done with only the realization that the lives she was touching were being changed. With no support and a small wage from her own job she has printed and mailed out many teachings.

Many men in prison who never heard the bible before are now keeping the Sabbath and Holy Days and await the barley being Aviv and sight the moon and eat kosher food and teach other men in prison because of one mom whose son was sent to prison. And it is in prison where many men are being recruited by Islam so this is an important job she has been part of.

Although her physical heart is only working at 35% capacity her spiritual heart is working overtime for those that society has cast off. We do not know how many this one lady has touched by sharing the truths of Torah. Please pray for her, her work is not yet done. And also for those men who are now keeping Torah and struggle in the prison society to be pure.

I have only recently learned of the following news which is a couple of months old by now, but think it is something to share with you still. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-11957440 It is about a tree that Joseph of Arimathea planted in England.

We are now at the end of the 12th month. We are awaiting the Aviv Barley report as to whether or not we have Passover in 2 weeks time or add a 13th month to this current year.

Yehshua said that no man would know the day or the hour. Here we have an excellent example of why you will not know. This year we do not know at this time if the holy days start in just two weeks or if another month is added. Then on top of that we have the sighting of the moon which can vary from month to month. This is why each month is 29 or 30 days in length. It depends on whether the moon is sighted or not.

On Sunday Nehemiah will go out to the Jordan one last time to look for the barley and see if it is going to be aviv or not. So far in the Northern Negev it is not Aviv and last week in the Jordan there was no aviv barley so when they check Nehemiah does not expect to find any there on Sunday. Last year when Nehemiah took me to the Jordan we were right beside mine fields and other places that had left of ordinances from the fighting that took place there. Also the road that they take here is also called sniper alley. It was along this road that Michael Rood was shot at last Shavuot. So keep them in your prayers.

One person also asked about the 13th month and where that was mentioned in the bible. I too had a hard time answering this question. When I asked Nehemiah for help he showed me that in 1 Kings 4:18 we have a mistranslation. It is here where we read about the 12 districts of Solomon.

In the King James Version “and he was the only officer which was in the land.”. The Hebrew says, “and one officer over the entire land”. The ancient understanding of this was a 13th officer over the [entire] land to collect taxes for the 13th month when it took place. Here is the rabbinical explanation which is correct based on the Hebrew:

“What is this ‘one’? This is for the month of intercalation.” (Sifrei Devarim §2:3 commenting on 1Ki 4:18 [c.2nd century CE])

No Aviv in Northern Negev

On Friday March 4, 2011 the barley in the northern Negev was nowhere near Aviv. The northern Negev is one of the main locations the barley is known from previous years to ripen earliest. The barley was mostly in the vegetative state but we also found some barley that had just flowered (cotton-stage). We will look again on Sunday March 6, however, the barley was nowhere near Aviv in that area last week so it is unlikely we will find any Aviv there. We won’t know for sure until we look.

World food prices hit record highs as oil rises

World food prices have hit new records and oil price spikes could push them even higher, the UN food agency warned on Thursday, as unrest in the Middle East and North Africa hits markets.

The Food Price Index, which monitors average monthly price changes for a variety of key staples, rose to 236 points in February from 231 points in January, the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) said.

It was the highest level since FAO began monitoring prices in 1990.
“Unexpected oil price spikes could further exacerbate an already precarious situation in food markets,”

Brethren I have been posting on Face Book for the past month all kinds of News items about the food crisis and Egypt and Libya and what Europe is preparing for. On Thursday the USA said is could not provide a no fly zone because of its involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. The USA no longer has the will to help. In this void A German led Europe is about to step up. I do not have the space to share all the News stories here but if you friend me on FB you could be receiving them and as I post them then your friends could also see them as you shared them.

In light of all these things we have been showing you, I continue to urge you all to help us raise the needed funds to purchase a farm in Israel. We cannot do it unless you step out in faith and contribute. It is time for action on your part no more excuses of why you cannot help. You are going to need a place to go with those who keep Torah. Start to find reasons why you can help. Any amount will help. I will be reporting on this very soon.

Many think that what is coming will not be that hard to endure. Here is part of an article about the prisoners of Bergen Belsen Prison Camp during WWI.

Around 35,000 of the prisoners at Bergen-Belsen died from hunger and disease in just the three months prior to the camp being voluntarily turned over to the British on April 15, 1945.

The lack of water was so severe that prisoners in Bergen-Belsen died of thirst. Others went mad with hunger and thirst and turned to cannibalism in their despair.

According to the Memorial Site at Bergen-Belsen, the camp population on December 1, 1944 was 15,257. By February 1, 1945, there were 22,000 prisoners in the camp, and by March 1, 1945, the number of inmates had swelled to 41,520. On April 15, 1945, there were an estimated 60,000 prisoners in the camp. A total of 50,000 prisoners died during the two years the camp was in operation, including 13,000 who died of weakness and disease after the camp was liberated. By far the biggest killer in the camp was typhus, a deadly disease that is transmitted by body lice.

The story of Bergen-Belsen can be summed up by a chart that hangs on the wall of the Museum there. It shows that there were 350 deaths in the camp in December 1944 before the typhus epidemic started. In January 1945, after a typhoid epidemic started, there were between 800 and 1000 deaths; in February 1945, after the typhus epidemic broke out, there were 6,000 to 7,000 deaths. In March 1945, the number of deaths had escalated to an incredible 18,168 in only one month. In April 1945, the deaths were 18,355 in only one month, with half of these deaths occurring after the British took over. Unlike the death camps in Poland, the Bergen-Belsen camp was not equipped to handle this kind of death rate; there was only one crematory oven in the camp.

When the British arrived on April 15, 1945, there were 10,000 bodies that were still unburied, and more were dying every day because the Germans could not control the epidemics. By the end of April, in only two weeks time, 9000 more had died. Another 4,000 died before the end of May.

Brethren we are in the third Sabbatical cycle of this the last Jubilee cycle in this age. Lev 26 tells us that during this third Sabbatical cycle you can expect pestilence and famine. The Fourth Sabbatical cycle is famine Pestilence and war. The fifth is pestilence, famine, death and captivity. How do you want to spend the next three sabbatcial cycles? That is 21 years! Think about it and then help us to raise the money to buy these farms in the one place you are told you will be kept safe. Think about your children and grandchildren.

The 4th Commandment

We have covered the 4th commandment in the past few News Letters showing you the weekly Sabbath from Sunset Friday evening to Sunset Saturday evening. We have shown you the Holy Days and only those found in Leviticus 23 are Yehovah’s Holy Days. And we have shown you that Yehovah tests you to see if you will keep His Sabbaths or not.

Those who do not keep the 4th commandment are those who have the Mark of the Beast already.

But are you aware the 4th commandment has another part that is to be included in it?

In exodus 23 we are told;

Exo 23:10 And you shall sow your land six years, and shall gather in the fruits of it.
Exo 23:11 But the seventh year you shall let it rest and let it alone, so that the poor of your people may eat. And what they leave, the animals of the field shall eat. In the same way you shall deal with your vineyard and with your olive yard.

And then in the very next verse Moses shows how the Sabbath year is also connected to and just like the weekly Sabbath. You count to seven each week and on the seventh day you have your Sabbath. You count out six years you can work the land but the seventh the land is to rest.

Exo 23:12 You shall do your work six days, and on the seventh day you shall rest, so that your ox and your ass may rest, and the son of your handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

Having now laid out the pattern of the Sabbatical years coming every 7th year just like the weekly Sabbath, Moses then goes into details in Lev.

Right after we read of the Holy Days in Lev 23 we then read in Lev 24 which seems to be out of place, as we were talking about the Holy Days then the Oil for the Menorah and the show bread on the Sabbath.

At the end of chapter 24 Moses writes 22 One judgment shall be for you whether an alien or a native; for I am Yehovah your God.

The Torah is for all people and it does not change because you are one race or another. It does not change because you live in Albuquerque or Jerusalem, there is one Torah for all and the Law is the same for everyone everywhere.

Then Moses gets back in line with what he was doing in explaining all the Holy set apart times, only now he moves on to explain the Sabbatical years.

In Exodus he has shown us that they are just like the weekly Sabbath, and come every 7th year with no exceptions.

Now in Lev 25:2 He tells them when to have a special additional Sabbatical year. That year would be the very first year they come into the land of Israel.

Lev 25:2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’?l, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall observe a Sabbath to ????.

Then after this they are told to count to the seventh year and that would be a Sabbatical year.

Some people try to justify not keeping the Sabbatical year based on Lev 25:2 saying it was just for those in the Land of Israel. Yet we have just read it there is one law for gentile and Israelite and it to be applied the same everywhere.

Using this same argument we can also go to Lev 19 where it says in 23 ‘And when you come into the land,’ so that what is about to be said only applies to those who are in the land and then those who not in the land of Israel are free to do what they want.

Lev 19:26 ‘Do not eat meat with the blood. Do not practise divination or magic.
Lev 19:27 ‘Do not round the corner of your head, nor destroy the corner of your beard.
Lev 19:28 ‘And do not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor put tattoo marks on you. I am ????.
Lev 19:29 ‘Do not profane your daughter by making her a whore, so that the land does not whore, and the land becomes filled with wickedness.
Lev 19:30 ‘Guard My Sabbaths and reverence My set-apart place. I am ????.
Lev 19:31 ‘Do not turn to mediums, and do not seek after spiritists to be defiled by them. I am ???? your Elohim.

Using the same argument that people use not to keep the Sabbatical year, because Lev 25:2 says ‘when you come into the land,’ does not apply to those who live in other lands, then those who are not in the land of Israel can Eat Meat with blood in it. They can practice divination and magic. They can cut themselves for the dead and wear tattoos. They can prostitute their daughters all they want and rent them out as whore. The do not have to keep the Sabbath or Holy Days and they can go to fortune tellers all they want. And the reason they can do this if we apply the same argument as people do for not keeping the Sabbatical years is because they are not in the land of Israel.

Well by now you should know that is nothing but horse feathers.

There is one law for the native born and for the foreigner. One Law for all the world and it is Torah.

Now let’s do some simple math.

When you add up all the years from Adam to Abraham you will see that Abraham was born in the year 1948 after the creation of Adam. In Genesis 15 we read about the Covenant Abraham made with Yehovah. He was 80 years old when this covenant was made.

We are also told that the Israelites left Egypt 430 years to the very day as this covenant was made. Exodus 12:41.
Now most people will quickly add on to this the 40 years wondering in the wilderness but they over look a scripture in Numbers 10:11 And it came to be on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from above the Dwelling Place of the Witness.

Num 10:12 And the children of Yisra’?l departed, setting out from the Wilderness of Sinai. And the cloud dwelt on it in the Wilderness of Paran.

Num 10:13 Thus they departed the first time, according to the command of ???? by the hand of Mosheh.

Israel left Mount Sinai 2 years after the Exodus. And then it was in the fifth month of this year that they sinned and were cursed for 40 years.

So now we do the math

1948 + 80 + 430 + 2 + 40 = 2500 years after the Creation of Adam. This is the 51st Jubilee year since the creation of Adam. The very year Joshua entered the Promised Land was a Jubilee year.

From this we now know that the first year in The Land was Jubilee year. From this year they began to count to 7 and they did that seven times. Then the 50th time again was another Jubilee year.

Again back in Lev 23 we are told how to keep the Feast of Shavuot or Pentecost. It begins on the day after the weekly Sabbath, which is always on a Sunday. You are then told to count to 7 Sabbaths and the day after the seventh Sabbath is the 50th day and it again is Sunday the first day of the week. The 50th day is also the first day in the next count.

But in order to know when the Sabbatical and Jubilee years are in our time we need a date in history we can work with. The year Joshua entered the Promised Land we have great difficulty reckoning to our time.

We are told in 2 King 19:29 ‘And this is the sign for you: This year you eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that, and in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

What this verse is speaking of is a Sabbatical year in which you do not sow or harvest, but you will eat only what grew of itself. Not only is it speaking of a Sabbatical year, it is speaking of two of them back to back.

The only time you have a Sabbatical year back to back is when you have the 49th Sabbatical year followed by the 50th Jubilee year.

This event that Isaiah is speaking to Hezekiah about is one of the most undisputed dates in chronology. The year that Hezekiah was to eat what grows of itself was 701 BC and the following year, or the Jubilee year when he could eat what springs from the same, was the year 700. All reputable chronologists agree to these two dates.

On top of this we also have recorded in history in the bible and in other sources the following known Sabbatical years again which all chronologist agree to. What they disagree with is whether the year begins at Aviv in the spring or tishri in the 7th month.

Qadesh La Yahweh Press http://www.yahweh.org/yahweh2.html goes to great detail to prove these dates are correct and shows how the all other theories go astray. A most enjoyable read.

Qadesh La Yahweh Press also proves that the 50th year was the year after the 49th and also it was the first year in the following count. Or in other words 49, 50, then year two would be next.

When you project this information forward to our time you will see that 1996 was a Jubilee year, and 2002, and 2009 were Sabbatical years. 2016 will be the next Sabbatical year beginning at Aviv. Will you be keeping it that year? You no longer can say you did not know.

As it says in Colossians 2: 16 Let no one therefore judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths –

Col 2:17 which are a shadow of what is to come – but the Body of the Messiah.
Col 2:18 Let no one deprive you of the prize, one who takes delight in false humility and worship of messengers, taking his stand on what he has not seen, puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Col 2:19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the Body – nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments – grows with the growth of Elohim.

The Sabbath Day, each of the Holy Days, the Land Rest years and the Jubilee year are all shadow pictures of good things to come. They all show you the plan of Yehovah and how it is going to be played out in these the very last day. But unless we are obedient and keep this time Holy we will miss the events that occur during these days and years, just as the Jews missed the Messiah and the events that happened during Passover, at that time.

It has been with this understanding of the Holy Days and the Weekly Sabbath and the Sabbatical and Jubilee years that I have known about the many things I have told you over the past few years in the DVD and in The Prophecies of Abraham, which have come to pass. Because of this understanding I told you about the financial crisis that would occur during the Sabbatical year. I told you of the food crisis now gripping the world, and the rise of the crisis in Egypt and Libya and soon Ethiopia.

Another question some will ask is ‘Does any of this really matter?’

Dan 9:1 In the first year of Dareyawesh the son of Ah?ashw?rosh, of the seed of the Medes, who was set up as sovereign over the reign of the Chaldeans –
Dan 9:2 in the first year of his reign I, Dani’?l, observed from the Scriptures the number of the years, according to the word of ???? given to Yirmeyah the prophet, for the completion of the wastes of Yerushalayim would be seventy years.

The scriptures Daniel was reading were in the book of Jeremiah.

Jer 25:7 “But you did not listen to Me,” declares ????, “so as to provoke Me with the works of your hands, for your own evil.
Jer 25:8 “Therefore thus said ???? of hosts, ‘Because you did not obey My words,
Jer 25:9 see, I am sending and taking all the tribes of the north,’ declares ????, ‘and Neb?uk?ad?retstsar the sovereign of Bab?el, My servant, and shall bring them against this land and against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and shall put them under the ban, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and everlasting ruins.
Jer 25:10 ‘And I shall banish from them the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.
Jer 25:11 ‘And all this land shall be a ruin and a waste, and these nations shall serve the sovereign of Bab?el seventy years.
Jer 25:12 ‘And it shall be, when seventy years are completed, that I shall punish the sovereign of Bab?el and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their crookedness,’ declares ????, ‘and shall make it everlasting ruins.

And we find the definitive answer to our question in 2 Chronicles. Are the Sabbatical and jubilee years important to Yehovah?

2Ch 36:20 And those who escaped from the sword he exiled to Bab?el, where they became servants to him and his sons until the reign of the reign of Persia,
2Ch 36:21 in order to fill the word of ???? by the mouth of Yirmeyahu, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay waste she kept Sabbath, until seventy years were completed.

Because Israel never kept the Sabbatical years and missed 70 of them, Judah had to pay the price of being out of the land for 70 years. One for each Sabbatical year not kept. That brings us back to the time of King David. That is how long they did not keep the Sabbatical years for.

And know this, because Judah has been back in the land of our fathers since 1948, and the Sabbatical years were 1953, 1960, 1967, 1974, 1981, 1988, 1995, 2002, 2009and a Jubilee in 1996 none of which Judah has kept; they are about to be once again removed from the land. They will be removed for 10 or 11 years depending if they are there for the Sabbatical year of 2016 or not.

Judah currently sells the land to a foreigner during the Sabbatical year so the land can still be worked and not rested. They also say the last Sabbatical year was year 5761 (2000-2001) and most recently 5768 (2007-2008) from the seventh month to the seventh month. They base their logic on being able to divide 7 into the Jewish year and having it come out with no decimal points. So 5761 is divided by 7 and it comes to 823.

So not only are they keeping the wrong year as the Sabbatical year, the year they do keep they get around the law by selling the land to someone else who works the land for them just for that year and then they buy back the land for a dollar. How hypocritical!!!

This would be the same as saying that the Sabbath was on Thursday and instead of us keeping it we will hire any pagan group of people to do all those things we could not do on that day.

Yehovah has shown us that the Sabbatical years are important to Him and in the past kicked Judah out for 70 years for not keeping them. He is about to do so again to us. So another question is well you keep the next Sabbatical year which you can prove to come in 2016-2017 from Aviv to Aviv?

If you do not then know that the 4th Sabbatical cycle which begins after 2017 is the cycle of war and Yehovah has promised He is going to come and destroy those who will not keep His laws.

You are watching historical events that come right from your own pages of your own bible on the nightly news. You are witnessing the King of the North and the King of the South rise up and push at each other and then join together. But if you do not know what to look at then you may miss it.

Germany Responds to Iran’s Suez Provocation

Germany has dispatched three warships to meet two from Iran in the Mediterranean. By Ron Fraser
Anders Fogh Rasmussen has called an emergency meeting of NATO to consider mounting a military mission in the Mediterranean. Discussions have already been held with all EU defense chiefs. In the meantime, Germany has already reacted on its own initiative.

The European Union—especially its lead nation Germany—regards Africa as its own backyard, and the Mediterranean islands as stepping stones to that resource-rich continent.

For some years, Germany has held a UN mandate to patrol and secure the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Germany’s Federal Cabinet renewed that mandate in November of last year. It is not a mandate that Germany will ever be tempted to give up.
No northern African or Middle Eastern nation possesses the naval power to contest the EU’s possession of the Mediterranean.
The three key access points to the Mediterranean and what lies beyond are Gibraltar, Suez and the Dardanelles.

Gibraltar is secured as an EU possession by Britain. Turkey remains both an ally and a strong trading partner of the EU and Russia. If Turkey saw fit to block the Dardanelles, it would have both the EU and Russia to deal with. The provocation of either nuclear power is not in Turkey’s interests.

That leaves Suez alone that is open to abuse by any unfriendly power that might seize control of Egypt and seek to then hold the West to ransom by threatening to block Suez.

Nasser did it in 1956. Then, after the Six Day War of 1967, the canal remained blocked for eight years. The escalation of costs to shipping was enormous as Atlantic-Indian Ocean trade had to reroute during that period around Africa.

The situation in the Middle East is much more volatile today than it was in Nasser’s day. Not only that. The EU was but a dot on the geopolitical horizon in 1967. Today it is a world power aggressively seeking to develop a high-powered, pan-European, nuclear-armed military force. Leading the way is a newly confident Germany.

There is another crucial gateway to which the rest of the world cannot afford to have its access blocked: the Persian Gulf. This is the most vital gateway giving access to the bulk of Middle East oil deposits.

Enter Iran.
This rogue nation—chief sponsor of Islamist terror, declared enemy of the West—has already threatened to block access to Gulf ports in retaliation against Western efforts to contain it.

Iran recently sought to capitalize on the unrest that has spread from Tunisia to Bahrain by floating a couple of warships up Suez and into the Mediterranean.

Germany was quick to respond.
Under the guise of “humanitarian interests”—that is, “the evacuation of German citizens from Libya”—the Bundeswehr sent three warships steaming to the Mediterranean to confront the Iranian provocation. Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg’s department has confirmed that the frigates Brandenburg and Rheinland-Pfalz and the tactical support ship Berlin have been dispatched to the southernmost point of the Mediterranean, the Gulf of Sidra, which borders the Libyan coast.

Had the real reason been for evacuation purposes, Germany could quite well, at far less expense and much more speedily, flown German citizens out of Libya. The numbers simply don’t compute. Three warships plus 600 military personnel on board to rescue just 160 German expats? There’s more to this than meets the eye.

The choice to beef up security in the Mediterranean by adding three warships was deliberate. Germany is sending a strong signal. The message to Iran and any other rogue element that might seek to take advantage of the revolutionary unrest in the Mediterranean is, Don’t mess with us on our own turf!

Mark our words—this is the first overt act of provocation and response between two nations that are prophesied to clash very soon in hot war—war that will be to the detriment of both Iran and the whole pan-Islamic effort at regional dominance. At the same time, that conflict will propel a German-led Europe into the world spotlight as a dominant global power.

If the prospect of Islamists taking over the Suez Canal made Europe nervous, chaos in Libya is giving it apoplexy.

Crazy, crazy times. Every week, another government falls: Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt. Bahrain and Yemen hang in the balance. Now Libya is about to go. Protesters are looting and burning. Tripoli is in flames. The government has mowed down over 200 people, which only angered the mob all the more. We’re about to see the longest-serving dictator in the world booted.

And it’s all happening in the neighborhood of the world’s richest oil chests. Libya happens to be the world’s 12th-biggest oil producer, and Africa’s third biggest. The country’s Sirte Basin holds the largest oil reserves on the continent.

Unsurprisingly, anxiety over Libya sent oil prices soaring 7 percent yesterday, putting oil at a 2-year high. Brent crude jumped to over $105 a barrel, its peak since before the 2008 financial crisis.

Who is Libya’s biggest customer? Europe. Though the country produces only 2 percent of the world’s oil, it supplies an estimated 10 percent of Europe’s. Most of the 1.4 million barrels a day from the Sirte Basin go to Italy, Germany and Spain. Italy alone buys about one third of Libya’s oil and gas exports.

Clearly, Libya’s mad mob represents a massive escalation of the threat to European energy supplies. Reports emerged of a tribe in eastern Libya warning Muammar Qadhafi that if he kept oppressing protesters it would try to halt oil exports to the Continent. Worker strikes have already shut down one oilfield and one oil refinery. Skittish European energy companies have started evacuating some of their staff from the country. A German company announced it would cut its 100,000 bpd operations in Libya. The EU is getting ready to bring all its citizens in Libya home.

For Europe, the threat to one tenth of its oil supply is bad enough—yet at this point, nobody knows where the contagion of revolution in the Middle East will stop.

“This is potentially worse for oil than the Iran crisis in 1979,” said Paul Horsnell, the lead oil industry analyst at Barclays Capital. “That was a revolution in one country, here there are so many countries at once.”

The time has come for ???? to deliver the Israelites in accordance with the prophecy given to Abraham in Genesis 15. The Almighty calls Moses from tending the flock, confronting him in a miraculous sight—a bush that, while burning with fire, was not consumed. ???? stated the fact that He was the ???? of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to whom the covenant promises were given. And it was now time to fulfill part of that covenant by bringing the Israelites out of captivity and into the land He had promised to their descendants.

Sometimes we must be patient with the trials that beset us. ????’s promises are always certain. At times, however, it feels like an eternity when we are beset with trials. Yet when ???? does step in, His intervention is quick! “And shall not ???? avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:7-8).

Just as ???? prepared Moses for what was going to be taking place, including the very outcome, He prepares His people today for events that will take place in the future.

The Palace of Solomon and Temple Utensils

Daat Mikra understands from various verses concerning the Monarchical residence that it was close to the Temple Mount but lower down from it though elevated above the “City of David”. It seems to have been understood that the Place of Solomon was adjacent to the Temple Mount.

THE HOUSE OF THE FOREST OF LEBANON is another name for the House of Solomon. The wood was brought from the Forests of Lebanon.

The gold may have come from South Africa.

Some of it probably also came from Ireland which in the Bronze Age was a source of gold.
Ireland was also a source of copper which would be mined then alloyed with tin brought over from Conrwall to make bronze which would then be exported.

Bronze implements found on the site of Dan in Northern Israel were analyzed. The tin used in the bronze was found to contain traces of gold indicating (according to the excavator of Tell Dan, Dr. Avraham Biran) a possible origin from Cornwall.

Solomon had three hundred regular wives and 700 concubines. Nevertheless the daughter of Pharoah is the one Scripture keeps referring to. The sages said that in the eyes of Solomon “the daughter of Pharoah” was more important than all the others.

[1-Kings 7:9] ALL THESE WERE OF COSTLY STONES, ACCORDING TO THE MEASURES OF HEWED STONES, SAWED WITH SAWS, WITHIN AND WITHOUT, EVEN FROM THE FOUNDATION UNTO THE COPING, AND SO ON THE OUTSIDE TOWARD THE GREAT COURT.

His mother came from Dan (2-Chronicles 2:13) and his father (an inhabitant of Tyre) from Naphtali. Tyre was a Phoenician city but in the territory of the Israelite Tribe of Asher. Israelites by the time of Solomon had intermixed with the Phoenicians and shared their culture as well as contributing towards it.

This may be where the English words “bathe” and “bath” come from.

[1-Kings 7:27] AND HE MADE TEN BASES OF BRASS; FOUR CUBITS WAS THE LENGTH OF ONE BASE, AND FOUR CUBITS THE BREADTH THEREOF, AND THREE CUBITS THE HEIGHT OF IT.
These “bases of brass” were frameworks on which basins were set.
The word translated as “brass” in Hebrew is “nechoshet”.
Literally speaking “nechoshet” means “copper”. Here it is understand to mean “bronze” which is an alloy of “tin and copper”.
“brass” is an alloy of zinc and copper.

[1-Kings 7:28] AND THE WORK OF THE BASES WAS ON THIS MANNER: THEY HAD BORDERS, AND THE BORDERS WERE BETWEEN THE LEDGES:

[1-Kings 7:29] AND ON THE BORDERS THAT WERE BETWEEN THE LEDGES WERE LIONS, OXEN, AND CHERUBIMS: AND UPON THE LEDGES THERE WAS A BASE ABOVE: AND BENEATH THE LIONS AND OXEN WERE CERTAIN ADDITIONS MADE OF THIN WORK.

This area is just east of the Jordan River in a valley where the local clay is of a high quality for the making of utensils and casts for the formation of metal implements.
This was a metallurgical center for the working of bronze associated with the “Sea-Peoples”. It was in the territory of Gad.
An inscription has been found in this region that speaks of Balaam and Netser. We analyze the text of this inscription in our work, “Ephraim. The Gentile Children of Israel”.

“Oh, That Men Would Give Thanks to the LORD” (Psalm 107)
The repeated refrain of Psalm 107, which begins Book V of the Psalter, expresses a desire for people to thank God for His repeated mercy and deliverance in rescuing them from their troubles. With this psalm, Book V in fact opens on much the same note as the previous book closes. Indeed, the first words of Psalm 107 are the same as the first words of Psalm 106—taken from David’s psalm in 1 Chronicles 16 (wording further emphasized in Psalm 136).

As the Zondervan NIV Study Bible comments in its introductory note on Psalm 107: “In its recitational style the psalm is closely related to Ps 104-106, and in its language to Ps 105-106. For that reason it has been seriously proposed that with these last two psalms it forms a trilogy from the same author. Whether or not this is so, its affinity with the preceding psalms strongly suggests that it was associated with them before the insertion of a Book division between Ps 106 and 107 and that it was intended to conclude the little series, Ps 104-107 [or perhaps 103-107 since 103 introduces the theme of God’s benefits, including the satisfaction of His people with good (103:5; 107:9)]. Its recital of God’s ‘wonderful deeds for men’ (v. 8)—which climaxes Ps 105-106—balances the recital of his many wise works in creation (see 104:2-26) and his benevolent care over the animal world (see 104:27-30). The editors may have inserted a Book division between Ps 106 and 107 with a view to a fivefold division of the Psalter”—that is, to parallel the Pentateuch in the scriptural reading cycle.

Verses 2-3 mentions the redeemed of God gathered from enemy captivity in foreign lands. A hint as to what captivity is intended is perhaps found in verse 16, which says that God “has broken the gates of bronze, and cut the bars of iron in two.” Very similar language is found in Isaiah 45:1-2, which describes the fall of Babylon to the Persian emperor Cyrus: “Thus says the LORD says to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut: I will go before you…I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron” (Isaiah 45:1-2). Thus Psalm 107:16 points to a fulfillment of this passage. God in fact used Cyrus to issue the first decree allowing the Jewish captives in Babylon to return to Judea.

Verses 4-7 describe the Israelite exiles as having wandered in desolation without enough to eat and drink, with God at last giving them a city to dwell in. This probably refers not to resettlement in Jerusalem (which was not a rescue from severe circumstances) but rather to the Jews eventually settling down in Babylonian communities following their initial deportation. Thus the wording of “go to” rather than “come to” a city (verse 7).

It should be observed that there is also a greater spiritual reality here too—as John the Baptist was later commissioned with words taken from this psalm to show God’s people the way out of spiritual imprisonment (compare verse 10; Luke 1:79), evidently through his message of God’s Kingdom and call for repentance.

Among other trials the psalmist alludes to are dangers at sea while conducting maritime commerce (Psalm 107:23-30)—demonstrating that the psalm does not exclusively concern returning exiles. “No problem is too great for God. This psalm imagines the worse calamities a Jew could think of: homelessness and starvation (verses 4-5), imprisonment (10-12), self-inflicted disease (17-18), and—the ultimate—imminent shipwreck (23-27). Since Israel was landlocked, few Jews had experienced turbulent seas, and thus dreaded them. In all these cases, God was able to rescue those who called for his help” (Zondervan New Student Bible, note on verse 27). When tempest-tossed sailors are at their wits’ end, they cry out to God and He delivers them, bringing them to safe havens (verses 27-30). As Psalm 89:9 states: “He calms the storm, so that its waves are still.”

God is sovereign. In response to wickedness, He can turn fruitful land into barren land (verses 33-34). In showing mercy to the poor and their families, He can turn wilderness into desirable acreage for vineyards, cattle and harvests (verses 35-38). Those who are righteous understand that God punishes wickedness through oppression, affliction and sorrow (verses 33, 39-40) and “sets the poor on high” (verse 41). Wonderfully, as part of God’s great benefits, His involvement in man’s affairs is ultimately for a great purpose—that “they will understand the lovingkindness [hesed, faithful love] of the LORD” (verse 43). That is certainly cause for thanksgiving.

Luke 18

This week’s scripture reading in Luke I find very interesting.
We are first of all told to be persistent in our prayer and not lose heart when they go unanswered. He then shows how an unjust judge will react to the needs of those who are persistent in their petitions.

Then Yehshua says that Yehovah will avenge the elect even though He bears with them for a long time.
You have to ask yourself who are the elect?

In a sense, everybody is called to recognize ???? through the natural world, but the word “chosen” shows that ???? must personally rescue us from our self-centered blindness. Using the term “elect,” Titus 1:1 reinforces the idea that ???? separates some few from the many who are called: “Paul, a bondservant of ???? and an apostle of Yehshua, according to the faith of ????’s elect. . . .”
Romans 9:11, 14-16 confirms ????’s active participation in this process of separation:
. . . (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of ???? according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls). . . . What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with ????? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of ???? who shows mercy.

Satan has done his work so well that even ???? declares that he “deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). Thus, ???? mercifully separates some away from their blindness. He directly and personally favours a small number for His purposes. Yehshua tells us in John 6:44 that no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him. Many other scriptures show that ???? personally separates a few from the masses of humanity for His purposes.

“Election” is the noun form of the verb “to elect.” To elect means “to select, pick, choose, determine, or separate.” Romans 9:11 tells us that ???? personally determines whom He will favour for His purposes. In the example Paul uses, He favoured Jacob, but the same is true of all whom ???? calls.

Such people are named the “elect” in the Bible. Romans 11:5, 7, 28 clarifies this term further by revealing that “elect” becomes the title of a distinct people.

Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. . . . Rom 11:7 What then? Yisra’?l has not obtained what it seeks, but the chosen did obtain it, and the rest were hardened.

Rom 11:8 As it has been written, “???? has given them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes not to see and ears not to hear, unto this day.”
Rom 11:9 Dawid? also says, “Let their table become for a snare, and for a trap, and for a stumbling-block and a recompense to them,
Rom 11:10 let their eyes be darkened, not to see, and bow down their back always.”
Rom 11:11 I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Let it not be! But by their fall deliverance has come to the gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

The “chosen” and “elect” are synonymous terms designating the group with whom ???? is personally working through Yehshua Mashiach. In Matthew 24:24, the term “elect” appears, as it almost always does, as a favourable reference. However, we need to realize that elect does not mean “better than others,” though it certainly implies one more blessed because of something for which ???? is completely responsible.

Mat 24:24 “For false messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
Mat 24:25 “See, I have forewarned you.

Increasing deception will mark the “end time.” At a certain point, these deceptions will be augmented by signs and wonders—miracles! Whether they are true miracles or not, we do not know. Satan has the ability to do certain things of that nature. Whatever they are, they will seem to give credence to the ideas of the people who are doing them. If we are not careful, even the elect—if possible—could be deceived.

This phrase “if possible” has made some people wonder, “Can the elect be deceived?” Well, it is kind of a trick question. If they are deceived, then they are not the elect! This is because the elect do something that keeps them from being deceived! It is not as if ???? says, “Here’s this one group. I am not going to let them be deceived.” That is not how it works. They are the elect because they do not allow themselves to be deceived.

So it is not possible to deceive the elect. It is not because these people have a special “safety net” around them, so that they cannot be deceived. They cannot be deceived because they will not let themselves be deceived, which is why they are the elect. They are working hard so that they will not be deceived. And that is the group that we want to be part of.

Many Messianics have come to accept the Daniel Timeline that concludes 2017 is the time when Yehshua comes back. It is based on the false assumption that the Balfour Declaration of 1917 was a Jubilee year. This error in judgement is then compounded by another error assuming the jubilee years to be 50 years apart. By doing this they see a misguided pattern in the six day war of 1967 when Jerusalem was recaptured and then they assume another 50 years to arrive at 2017.

But all of this is based on hot air and not one historical fact as we have shown you above. 2 Kings 19:29 shows you the 49th and 50 year were recorded here. Chronologists all agree that this event in Hezekiah’s day was 701 and 700 BC. When you count by 49’s as the bible shows you going by seven from one Sabbatical year to another the same as the weekly Sabbath all other historical Sabbatical years that we have documented line up in perfect sequence. When you discard this information about the Sabbatical years then you end up accepting faulty information and Daniels timeline.
When we count by 49s we will end up with 1898 as a Jubilee year and 1947 as a Jubilee year and 1996 as the last Jubilee year and the next one will be 2045. Not 2017. In fact 2017 is the first year in the 4th Sabbatical cycle. 2016 is the next Sabbatical year.

These same teachers who tell you that 2017 is the next and final Jubilee year neglect to tell you to keep 2016 as the 49th year and a Sabbatical year. None of them kept the sabbatical year in 2009 either. Why…because they do not believe it is important.
Do not allow yourself to be continually deceived and no longer one of the elect because you will not keep the 4th commandment which includes the weekly Sabbath and teh Holy days and the Sabbatical years.

There is another teaching which uses the 70 weeks of Daniel. It says that Israel became a Nation in 1948. They then change the word weeks to mean years and add the 62 weeks of Daniel to 1948 and arrive at 2010. They then add 7 more years for the 69 weeks period of Daniel and this is now 2017 and that is there proof.

Dan 9:25 “Know, then, and understand: from the going forth of the command to restore and build Yerushalayim until Messiah the Prince is seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again, with streets and a trench, but in times of affliction.
Dan 9:26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the set-apart place. And the end of it is with a flood. And wastes are decreed, and fighting until the end.
Dan 9:27 “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste1.” Footnote: 1Mt. 24:15.

Do not be deceived!! Prove all things. Prove the Sabbatical cycle and then you will know the Daniels timeline and all the other things that come from it are false. In The Prophecies of Abraham I show you the 70 week Prophecies

Mat 24:24 “For false messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

Joh 5:25 “Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of Elohim. And those having heard shall live.

His declaration is interesting because the subject directly involves a resurrection, and it is also tied to a vital process that sets the elect apart. The key words in this verse are “hear” and “dead.”

We need to add a thought from Ephesians 2:1: “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” Before ????’s calling, even though we were physically alive, we were spiritually dead because of sin. However, John 5:25 says that the dead “hear” His voice. Similarly, those who are spiritually dead cannot “hear” ????’s Word until they are called, made part of the elect, and enabled by ???? to hear and thus understand His Word clearly.

Another important factor appears in Hebrews 10:38: “The just shall live by faith.” Also, Ephesians 2:8 says that we are “saved by grace through faith.” Romans 10:17 adds, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of ????.” Finally, in John 6:63, Yehshua clinches the point: “The words that I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life.”

This linkage of truths makes vitally clear the importance of the calling and election by ????. His enabling of us to “hear” is what begins to sweep away the spiritual blindness that has kept us ignorant of the purpose He is working out here below. This miracle of hearing gives rise to truly effective faith. It makes ????’s Word truly logical and believable, making commitment in obedience to His purpose possible.

Yet, what if a person cannot “hear” what ???? is saying? None of these saving elements comes to pass in life because no faith is produced!

Yehshua utters another awesome, humbling truth in John 10:3-4, 6, 16:
“To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” . . . Yehshua used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them. . . . “And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.”

He describes our calling and relationship with our Shepherd—Himself—in intimate and personal terms. “He calls them by name.” He personally leads them out of their pen, a symbol of the world in which we are held captive, enslaved, and spiritually dead. Conversely, verse 6 plainly depicts the spiritual condition of the uncalled: They did not understand. ???? had not enabled them because He was not calling them to be a part of His purpose at that time. Thus, the miracle that opens our minds so we could “hear” was not performed on them.

Romans 8:30 adds another startling truth: “Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and who He justified, these He also glorified.” Only the called are justified! Justification through repentance and the atoning blood of Yehshua Mashiach is what permits us into the presence of ????, enabling further growth to glorification in ????’s Kingdom!

Rom 11:5 So therefore also, at this present time a remnant according to the choice of favour has come to be.
This spiritual remnant is what several New Testament writers term “the elect,” those who have been called and chosen by ???? through grace. These “elect” have received what Israel did not: spiritual redemption, salvation, a relationship with ????, and so forth.

Gal 6:15 For in Messiah ????? neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any strength, but a renewed creature.1 Footnote: 11 Cor. 7:19, Rom. 2:26-29, 2 Cor. 5:17.
Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and compassion be upon them, and upon the Yisra’?l of Elohim.

Walk according to this rule means “understand and apply this principle.”

After Jacob’s name was changed to Israel, through the centuries Israel gradually became a code name for the called and chosen of ???? who had made a covenant with Him. Paul attaches the prepositional phrase “of ????” to show possession to the physical nation also named “Israel.” ???? is creating a new nation—a Renewed Covenant people—whose citizenship is in heaven and whose people owe their loyalty to the Kingdom of ????, its laws, and its purposes.

The Israel of ????—the remnant, the elect, the vessels of mercy, the children of promise—is a spiritual body, the Body of Yehshua Meshiach (Colossians 1:18). There is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female. In one sense, there is no nationality, for we are being transformed into a new “nationality”—the Kingdom of ????! ???? is doing a new thing.

Eph 1:1 Sha’ul, an emissary of ????? Messiah by the desire of Elohim, to the set-apart ones who are in Ephesos, and true to Messiah ?????:
Eph 1:2 Favour to you and peace from Elohim our Father and the Master ????? Messiah.
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Master ????? Messiah, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Messiah,
Eph 1:4 even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be set-apart and blameless before Him in love,1 Footnote: 12 Thess. 2:13.
Eph 1:5 having previously ordained us to adoption as sons through ????? Messiah to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His desire,
Eph 1:6 to the praise of the esteem of His favour with which He favoured us in the Beloved,

His Word declares that in His love He predestined us “according to the good pleasure of His will.” It does not say that He predestined us according to what He foresaw we would become, that He chose us because we were from a particular ethnic group, or that He picked us because of some mark of intelligence, character, looks, ability, or any other quality. Just as in Deuteronomy 7:7-8, His calling of us occurred out of the good pleasure of His will. He gave to us the same privileges and opportunities as He did to Jacob rather than Esau, and they were extended on the same basis—by ????’s election following the counsel of His own will and not by our works.

He did not necessarily choose us as individuals before the foundation of the world, but He did decide that He would have a group of people impregnated by His Spirit, a unique Family of His who would be in the image of His Son. The word “choose” suggests taking a smaller number out of a larger. In this case, the larger is the population of the earth, and the smaller number is that tiny remnant ???? has been working with—His group, His family. The word “holy” implies the choosing had a moral aim in view. In other words, ???? was choosing a small number out of a large number, and the reason He was choosing this smaller number is to make this small number holy—holy as He is. He had a moral purpose in mind.

The apostle is saying we have been called, elected, become a part of this small group with a definite purpose in mind—that we should become holy. In order for us to become holy, ???? had to reveal some things to us, which Paul discusses in verses 5-12.
In a similar fashion, ???? also called out Levi from the other 12 tribes to d a specific function and only they were allowed to do it from that time on.

1Pe 1:4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, having been kept in the heavens for you,
1Pe 1:5 who are protected by the power of Elohim through belief, for a deliverance ready to be revealed in the last time,

First, Peter reminds us who we are. The term “elect” is the very ground of our comfort because it means (when connected to the foreknowledge of ????) that ???? knows us personally. A lot of people would like to know that the President of the United States knows them personally, but ???? knows us!

Some like it to be known that they are known by some person they respect very highly. Whether the person is a millionaire or a billionaire, a well-known athlete or entertainer, or somebody well known in the area, people like to drop names. Peter says if there is any name you want to drop, drop ????’s. He knows you!

Before ???? called us, He watched our lives because He wanted to make sure that we would be able to work with Him and that He would not lose us. He is sure that with His help we can make it. He can prepare us for whatever He has in store for us.
That is the ground of our hope. ???? knows us, and because of this, He will do things for us. He is in the position to do them. All He has to do is give the word. ???? can open any door anywhere for us. And He will do what is right for us.

Peter goes on in verse 3 to say that He is the Author of an act of mercy by which He has given us a sure hope of being brought into our inheritance. Even though we may have to go through sore trial, it can be done! ???? has not given us something impossible to do. He has begotten us again to a living hope.

Our hope is living because Yehshua is alive! He is our High Priest. And He loves us in a way that we cannot even begin to understand. He loves us so much that He gave His life for us. He loves us so much that He is willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure that we will be in His Kingdom. We have access to the highest of all places. We have friends who have names and power so awesome that there is nothing greater.

We do not need to fear what is coming because ???? is able to bring us through it. If we had to face it ourselves alone, there would be no hope for us.

The apostle calls our inheritance “incorruptible” (verse 4). The contrast is being made between Canaan or Palestine and the Kingdom of ????. Which is better?

Lastly, it is “undefiled, and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of ???? through faith for salvation.” Kept can easily be translated “guarded,” “surrounded,” “hedged in.” ???? is watching out for us in a way that He is not watching out for this world. Because we are the apple of His eye, and because He is preparing us for something, Yehshua will faithfully discharge His duties as High Priest in our behalf. He is guarding us—protecting us—from the worst of what is going on around us.

1Pe 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up, a spiritual house, a set-apart priesthood, to offer up spiritual slaughter offerings acceptable to Elohim through ????? Messiah.

Between AD 63-67, the apostle Peter was inspired to write to the “elect” who were dispersed throughout Asia Minor—and to us today—that we are to offer up spiritual sacrifices and proclaim the praises of ????. We are in training now, learning how to be priests of ???? for His spiritual priesthood, and a primary reason is to offer up spiritual sacrifices. A spiritual sacrifice is an act of giving up and offering to ???? our time and effort in a way that is pleasing to Him.

What makes a spiritual sacrifice acceptable to ????? Is it merely the sacrificing of our time and effort? No, it is more than that. Comparing the sacrifice of Noah to the hypocritical sacrifices of the children of Israel shows that the attitude and righteousness of the offerer is important to ???? (Genesis 8:20-21; Amos 5:21-27). A spiritual sacrifice must be offered in an attitude of obedience, humility, and reverence.

2Pe 3:11 Seeing all these are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be in set-apart behaviour and reverence,
2Pe 3:12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of Elohim, through which the heavens shall be destroyed, being set on fire, and the elements melt with intense heat!
2Pe 3:13 But according to His promise we wait for a renewed heavens and a renewed earth in which righteousness dwells.
2Pe 3:14 So then, beloved ones, looking forward to this, do your utmost to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless,

These strong warnings and encouragements apply only to one small and unique group of very special people who are blessed and valuable to ???? above all on earth (Malachi 3:16-17). They are special and valuable not because they are great, talented, and accomplished in this world, but because ???? has called them, covered them with the priceless blood of Yehshua , and made them His regenerated children.

1Jn 5:19 We know that we are of Elohim, and all the world lies in the wicked one.
1Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of Elohim has come and has given us an understanding, so that we might know the true One. And we are in the true One, in His Son ????? Messiah. This is the true Elohim and everlasting life.

The very fact that we know these things—that we are of ????, that Satan is the unseen ruler of this world, and that we know ???? and His Son Yehshua—is evidence that we have been given an understanding. This knowledge is not something we have determined on our own; the sovereign ???? has given it to us to fulfill His purpose in us. And in His sovereignty He has withheld it from others.

Other passages, in more specific areas of our profession, show the uniqueness of our calling to an even greater extent. For example, Paul writes in II Thessalonians 3:1-2, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have [the] faith.” From our own experiences we know his statement is true. Not everyone has faith. It is obvious that some believe and others do not. Even within our own groups we are at different stages of faith.

Acts 13:48 adds important ramifications to this subject of ????’s sovereignty, our calling, and faith: “Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.” The implications of Luke’s words are rather startling. Only those whom ???? appointed or predestined to eternal life believe the preaching of Paul and Barnabas! The rest, though they also hear the word of the Lord, persecute and expel them from the region.

They do not believe what they hear, and it angers rather than converts them. We must conclude that ???? triggers something in the minds of those He calls, making the Lord’s words agreeable, so they will believe what they are hearing.

This agrees perfectly with Ephesians 1:5—”[????] predestined us to adoption as sons by [through] Yehshua Mashiach”—and Romans 8:29-30, which explicitly states the whole panorama of His purpose:
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
???? has the whole process planned out, and He is so confident of His ability to accomplish it that He perceives it as already done!

He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10).

The man who was doing all the commandments and everything right had one problem. He was married to his things. The expression For it is easier for a camel to enter through a needle’s eye

“The Aramaic word gamla means camel, a large rope and a beam. The meaning of the word is determined by its context. If the word riding or burden occurs then gamla means a camel, but when the eye of a needle is mentioned gamla more correctly means a rope. There is no connection anywhere in Aramaic speech or literature between camel and needle, but there is a definite connection between rope and needle.”

Most English versions of the Gospels came from Greek texts by translators who may have known nothing about Aramaic. Thus “camel” would have been translated instead of “rope”. It takes little effort to imagine Yeshua, while walking along the sea coast, pointing to a rope and saying, “It is easier for a camel [a gamla, a rope] to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God”.

In order for a rope to go through the eye of the needle one would have to unthread it down to size where it could go through the needle. It is the same in our lives. We must unravel all those things we have accumulated which take up so much of our time maintaining them and keep us from studying Torah.

And Yehshua says that even those who have given up our families to follow Him , that is unravelling those things that keep us rooted to this evil way of life, will receive many time more in this present life and in the age to come.

The 613 Mitzvot

(353) Do not make a covenant with the seven (Canaanite, idolatrous) nations. “I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you. You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.” (Exodus 23:31-33) “When Yahweh your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, and when Yahweh your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them.” (Deuteronomy 7:1-2) Israel can’t say they weren’t warned. If they did not drive out the idolaters, they would be “snared” into serving their false gods. They didn’t, so they were.

Lest we conclude, however, that this is an open-ended call to slaughter or displace all who don’t happen to toe our particular theological line, note that the list of nations to be thrown out of the Land was very precise and very limited: seven people groups whose depravity had reached its “fullness.” The Amorites in particular had been given four generations to get their spiritual act together (see Genesis 15:16) and had not done so. The Torah is very precise here. If we are (1) Israelites who (2) are moving into the Land of Promise, we are to throw out any idolaters we find who (3) are Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, or Jebusites. Yahweh has even promised to do all the heavy lifting. All we have to do is follow His lead.

Haven’t run across any Girgashites lately? Me neither. But its safe to say that the bottom line still applies: we are not to make covenants with idolaters. On a national level, that would mean that a nation of believers should not support or defend nations that are not. The problem, of course, is that there’s no such thing as a “nation of believers.” America, if it ever was, left that place long ago. It would seem prudent, at the very least, to avoid supporting people who have sworn to kill us (that’s any Qur’an-following Muslim, in case you didn’t notice) but we can’t even get that right.

(354) Do not settle idolaters in our land. “ You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.” (Exodus 23:32-33) When Israel declared statehood on April 14, 1948, Jews had been a majority in Jerusalem for as long as anyone had been keeping records—well over a century. They had never stolen or “annexed” Arab lands, but rather had purchased large tracts of land in Palestine from Arab Muslims who considered it worthless. Yet on Israel’s independence day, Azzam Pasha, Secretary General of the Arab League, declared jihad, a “holy war” against the infant nation. He stated: “This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre.” He ordered all Muslim Arab civilians to leave, in order to make it easier for the Islamic forces to drive the detested Jews into the sea. Those who followed the order became the “Palestinian refugees” we hear about so often. For her part, Israel offered full citizenship to any Arab who wanted to stay, and some did. After Israel won the war (at a horrendous price in terms of percentage of her population) those Arabs, mostly Islamic, became the freest, most prosperous Muslims in the region.

And they remained so until they turned on their benefactor in the first intifada—biting the hand that had fed them. These are the “Palestinians” (though no such people actually exist—the moniker is merely a useful media prevarication) who trouble Israel today.

Now, what would have happened if Israel had followed the Torah on this point? If, in 1948, they had said, “Alright, if the Muslims as a group are going to attack us, the Muslims as a group must leave,” they would have an entirely different kind of enemy today. The Islamic threat would still exist, to be sure, but the adversary would be outside the nation, not distributed throughout Israel like a cancer.

(355) Slay the inhabitants of a city that has become idolatrous and burn that city. “If you hear someone in one of your cities, which Yahweh your God gives you to dwell in, saying, ‘Corrupt men have gone out from among you and enticed the inhabitants of their city, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods’—which you have not known—then you shall inquire, search out, and ask diligently. And if it is indeed true and certain that such an abomination was committed among you, you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it, all that is in it and its livestock—with the edge of the sword. And you shall gather all its plunder into the middle of the street, and completely burn with fire the city and all its plunder, for Yahweh your God. It shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again. So none of the accursed things shall remain in your hand, that Yahweh may turn from the fierceness of His anger and show you mercy, have compassion on you and multiply you, just as He swore to your fathers, because you have listened to the voice of Yahweh your God, to keep all His commandments which I command you today, to do what is right in the eyes of Yahweh your God.” (Deuteronomy 13:12-18) The politically correct liberals among us are horrified at this sort of thing. Don’t people have a God-given right to worship any god they choose, in any way they want? Not in theocratic Israel, they don’t. Israel was called out of the nations to be “a holy people,” set apart for Yahweh’s plan and purpose. Granted, the “burn-the-city-and-kill-the-idolaters” rule no longer literally applies. The theocratic society for which this was written has been gone for some time. But the underlying principle is still germane: Believers in Yahweh are not to tolerate the inroads of false gods and false teachings into their assemblies. And at this late date, it bears mentioning that “false teachings” are those things that contradict Scripture—not the things that challenge our religious traditions.

(356) Do not rebuild a city that has been led astray to idolatry. “…It shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.” (Deuteronomy 13:16) The idolatrous city is a metaphor for false teaching here. God’s point, I believe, is that you can’t build something of lasting value on a faulty foundation. If the premise is wrong, the conclusion will be wrong as well. I’ll offer a provocative example to make my point. We Americans usually assume that democracy is a good thing, where in reality, it only “works” for the benefit of mankind when the majority revere Yahweh. So when we expend blood and coin in an attempt to impose democracy on places like Afghanistan or Iraq, we learn (or at least we ought to) the horrible truth about democracy: it’s nothing but mob rule in a three-piece suit. If the majority are convinced that Islamic law must be implemented because their god, Allah, said so, then democracy will inevitably enslave the populace and consign them to a life of misery and seething hatred for all mankind. Without Yahweh, dumping a brutal dictator for a democratically elected sharia-friendly government is simply trading a bellyache for an upset stomach.

(357) Do not make use of the property of a city that has been so led astray. “…You shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it, all that is in it and its livestock—with the edge of the sword. And you shall gather all its plunder into the middle of the street, and completely burn with fire the city and all its plunder…So none of the accursed things shall remain in your hand, that Yahweh may turn from the fierceness of His anger.” (Deuteronomy 13:15-17) With the exception of the original Israelite conquest of Canaan (for which this mitzvah was written), every “religious” war in history has been little more than an elaborate snatch-and-run. Islam, truth be known, is far less a religion than it is an acquisitive political doctrine—amply proved by their long and bloody history. And the Roman Catholic Church has grown obscenely rich plundering everyone from “heretics” to Jews to New World indigenous tribes in the name of religion. But Yahweh—who knows the greed of the human heart—insisted that the eradication of false worship from theocratic Israel would not bring any financial rewards with it. Idolatry was to be destroyed because it was evil, not because there might be a buck in it.

AGRICULTURE AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

(358) Do not cross-breed cattle of different species. “You shall not let your livestock breed with another kind.” (Leviticus 19:19) Neither Moses nor Maimonides knew anything about Linnaean taxonomy. But they did know the difference between a sheep and a goat, or between an ox and an ass. These animal “kinds” are not cross-fertile. This mitzvah and the next one are an obvious metaphor for the ubiquitous scriptural injunction against mixing reverence for Yahweh with pagan idolatrous practice. His point: “Nothing good can possibly come from this. My people are to be holy, set apart, pure and undefiled.”

(359) Do not sow different kinds of seed together in one field. “You shall not sow your field with mixed seed.” (Leviticus 19:19) A variation on the “purity” theme, here we are (once again) being warned against mixing idolatrous practice with true faith. This very contingency was used by Yahshua to teach what the course of the kingdom of heaven would be like this side of Judgment Day. In Matthew 13:24-30, we read the parable of the wheat and tares, which, in a nutshell, says that although Yahweh planted good, fruitful “seed” (His believers) in His field, Satan came in afterward and planted look-alike weeds—people who may look “religious” but, being weeds, bear no fruit—they’re just taking up space and resources—choking out the truth. Yahweh has decided to let them both grow together side by side in His field (the world) until the “harvest” at the end of the age, at which time He will “gather” to Himself the believing “wheat,” but burn the tares.

Wheat produce fruit, tares do not. Each of us needs to look inside and see are we producing fruit or have we taken our talent and buried it.
