This weeks News Letter has changed and been rewritten almost every day this week. With news and events happening to cause this.

In Last week’s news Letter as we continued our study of the 613 laws we were getting into the Marriage and divorce laws. I received an email about this which I have now posted to the web site and you can read it at “Divorce and Remarriage“, It explains divorce and remarriage so that it makes sense. I have always had trouble with this subject and have avoided it until now.

On Monday of this week the world was outraged that Israel defended itself as it enforced the naval blockade on Gaza. The Navy Seals killed 10 people in defending themselves after being stabbed and beaten with iron and metal clubs. I totally endorse Israel’s action as restrained as it was. You can see just how much the world hates Israel and those of us who also keep Shabbat and Torah. We because of our belief’s look Jewish to them.

This weeks events has caused rumor’s to spread about Iranian and Syrian build up on the Northern border close to Galilee. More rumors were again spread on the News about Israel pilots buzzing Lebanon cities. None of this is backed with facts. Rumors, rumors and more rumors. Mathew 24: 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

So what is going on here Brethren?

As I have explained in the book The Prophecies of Abraham a great deception is to take place in which Satan if possible is going to deceive even the very elect. And at the same time prepare things so that an Israelite genocide can take place. When I say Israel I mean the USA and the UK and the State of Israel.

I have been saying this deception for the past two weeks. We were warned of this by Yeshua in Mathew 24: 24 “For false messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones. 25 “See, I have forewarned you

Many believe we are in the last 7 years of this age. Satan must make things come together at this time so that is looks like the end of the age. Because everyone believes that the Jewish people are today Israel. They do not realize that Judah is the State of Israel but Israel is made up of the other 10 tribes and consists of the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark and parts of France.

So is the USA going to go against the Iranians and defeat them? No they will not!!!

How do I know this? We can read it in Isaiah 13: 10 For the stars of the heavens and their constellations do not give off their light. The sun shall be dark at its rising, and the moon not send out its light. 11 “And I shall punish the world for its evil, and the wrong for their crookedness, and shall put an end to the arrogance of the proud, and lay low the pride of the ruthless. 12 “I shall make mortal man scarcer than fine gold, and mankind scarcer than the gold of Ophir. 13 “So I shall make the heavens tremble, and the earth shall shake from her place, in the wrath of ???? of hosts and in the day of the heat of His displeasure. 14 “And it shall be as the hunted gazelle, and as a sheep that no man takes up – every man turns to his own people, and everyone flees to his own land. 15 “Whoever is found is thrust through, and everyone taken falls by the sword. 16 “And their children are dashed to pieces before their eyes, their houses plundered and their wives ravished. 17 “See, I am stirring up the Medes against them, who do not regard silver, and as for gold, they do not delight in it. 18 “And bows dash the young to pieces, and they have no compassion on the fruit of the womb, their eye spare no children. 19 “And Bab?el, the splendor of reigns, the comeliness of the Chaldeans’ pride, shall be as when Elohim overthrew Sed?om and Amorah.

Babylon is going to be destroyed by whom?

When the heaven trembles and the earth shakes it will be because of a nuclear attack. The bows cannot dash anyone to pieces, but the bows launch the arrows which are missiles and these will dash the young men and pregnant without mercy to pieces.
Take note of this verse ”and everyone taken falls by the sword.” They will take no prisoners. Remember this.

But who is going to do this? The Medes, verse 17, who are today also known as the Persians and also as the Iranians.

According to Herodotus, “the Medes were called anciently by all people Aryans; but when Media, the Colchian, came to them from Athens, they changed their name. Such is the account which they themselves give.” [3] Medea is the daughter of the Colchian King Aeëtes in the Greek myth, Jason and the Argonauts. There is not a clear Indo-European etymology for the name of Medes, Mâda. [4]

Herodotus, i. 101, lists the names of six Median tribes: “Thus Deioces collected the Medes into a nation, and ruled over them alone. Now these are the tribes of which they consist: the Busae, the Paretaceni, the Struchates, the Arizanti, the Budii, and the Magi” (7.62), names of three of these have Iranian etymologies. [5]

Gudea ruler of Lagash in Mesopotamia (2143-2124 BCE) mentioned “Mada” as a land that grains grow in it.[6] Šulgi ruler of third Ur dynasty (2095-2048 BCE) built “bád mada ki” that means wall of Media.[7] “ki” is a descriptive symbol that comes after geographical places. A lot of translators translate “mada” generally into land. “mada” uses as a suffix before names of lands that are located in west of Iranian plateau like “Martu”, “Subartu”, “Anšan”, “Kimaš”, “Gutium” and etc. “Šu-Sin” ruler of third Ur dynasty (2038-2030 BCE), reported his military expedition to lands and cities of Zagros, and pillage of gold from “Mada”. Translation of “Mada” as a desert isn’t correct because all of lands uses after “Mada” are located in mountains and plateau.

By this prophecy quoted above, the Medes must have nuclear capabilities which can reach to Babylon. But Who is Babylon?

Many believe this to be Iraq and others believe it to be the USA but is it? The Mystery Babylonian religion of the Chaldeans is none other than Rome and the Catholic faith. This is easily proven from history. And this Chaldean religion will play a major role in the Heart of the New European Super Power coming on the world scene right now.

So the Medes or Iranians must have nuclear capabilities which can reach to Rome and Europe. Why do I say this?
We can read the answer in Revelation 17:15 And he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and crowds, and nations, and tongues. 16 “And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these shall hate the whore, and lay her waste and naked, and eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 “For Elohim did give it into their hearts to do His mind, to be of one mind, and to give their reign to the beast, until the words of Elohim shall be accomplished. 18 “And the woman whom you saw is that great city having sovereignty over the sovereigns of the earth.”

The whore is Rome which sits upon the seven hills which Revelation also mentions.

The Ten horns mention here relate to the ten toes of Daniel. Daniel 2:41 “Yet, as you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the reign is to be divided. But some of the strength of the iron is to be in it, because you saw the iron mixed with muddy clay. 42 “And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the reign is partly strong and partly brittle. 43 “And as you saw iron mixed with muddy clay, they are mixing themselves with the seed of men, but they are not clinging to each other, even as iron does not mix with clay. 44 “And in the days of these sovereigns the Elah of the heavens shall set up a reign which shall never be destroyed, nor the reign pass on to other people – it crushes and puts to an end all these reigns, and it shall stand forever.

These ten horns are also the ten toes described in Daniel 7: 23 “This is what he said, ‘The fourth beast is the fourth reign on earth, which is different from all other reigns, and it devours all the earth, tramples it down and crushes it. 24 ‘And the ten horns are ten sovereigns from this reign. They shall rise, and another shall rise after them, and it is different from the first ones, and it humbles three sovereigns, 25 and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times1 and law2, and they are given into its hand for a time and times and half a time.
Other prophecies show us the three nations to be humbled will be Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia. Isaiah 20 and Daniel 11.

In Psalm 83 we read how the nations have risen up and are against Israel.

1 O Elohim, do not remain silent! Do not be speechless, And do not be still, O ?l! 2 For look, Your enemies make an uproar, And those hating You have lifted up their head. 3 They craftily plot against Your people, And conspire against Your treasured ones. 4 They have said, “Come, And let us wipe them out as a nation, And let the name of Yisra’?l be remembered no more.” 5 For they have conspired together with one heart; They have made a covenant against You – 6 The tents of Ed?om and the Yishma??lites, Mo’ab? and the Hag?arites, 7 Geb?al, and Ammon, and Amal?q, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tsor, 8 Ashshur also has joined with them, They have helped the children of Lot. Selah.

All of the nations above are known as being Arabic today or a better rendering would be they are of the Muslim faith. The one exception is the nation of Ashshur, whom we have shown you in previous News letters to be Germany who is today the head of The European Union. All you have to do is follow the money to see this truth.

Daniel 11 helps to clear some of this up. 32 “And by flatteries he shall profane those who do wrong against the covenant, but the people who know their Elohim shall be strong, and shall act. (What does this verse mean? This leader is going to cause those who are suppose to be in a covenant relationship to break that covenant.)33 “And those of the people who have insight shall give understanding to many. And they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering, for days.(This is speaking of the coming persecution of the saints which is to start by the end of this current 7 year period) 34 “And when they stumble, they shall be helped, a little help, but many shall join them, by flatteries. 35 “And some of those who have insight shall stumble, to refine them, and to cleanse them, and to make them white, until the time of the end, for it is still for an appointed time. 36 “And the sovereign shall do as he pleases, and exalt himself and show himself to be great above every mighty one, and speak incredible matters against the ?l of mighty ones, and shall prosper until the wrath has been accomplished – for what has been decreed shall be done – 37 and have no regard for the mighty ones of his fathers nor for the desire of women, nor have regard for any mighty one, but exalt himself above them all. 38 “But in his place he shall give esteem to a mighty one of strongholds.(This god of fortresses is today called Mary the Queen of Heaven) And to a mighty one which his fathers did not know ( This is today known as Allah, a god his fathers did not know because Mohamed only came on the world scene in 700’s AD.) he shall give esteem with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 “And he shall act against the strongest strongholds with a foreign mighty one, which he shall acknowledge. He shall increase in esteem and cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.(this is where the king of the north has given territories to the ten Kings for their allegiance.) 40 “At the time of the end the sovereign of the South shall push at him, and the sovereign of the North rush against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall enter the lands, and shall overflow and pass over, 41 and shall enter the Splendid Land, and many shall stumble, but these escape from his hand: Ed?om, and Mo’ab?, and the chief of the sons of Ammon. 42 “And he shall stretch out his hand against the lands, and the land of Mitsrayim shall not escape. (this is where or near to where we are in prophecy right now. I will explain below in more detail)43 “And he shall rule over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the riches of Mitsrayim, and Libyans and Kushites shall be at his steps. 44 “Then reports from the east and the north shall disturb him, and he shall go out with great wrath to destroy and put many under the ban, 45 and he shall pitch the tents of his palace between the seas and the splendid set-apart mountain, but shall come to his end with none to help him.

In the book the Prophecies of Abraham I show you from things in Abrahams Life time and other things that happened to Judah how during the next 7 years Judah is going to come under the control of the European Union. I will explain below how the King of the South, Iran will push at the King of the North Europe and this will provoke an invasion of the Middle East in order to provide peace to the region. This event should take place during the next seven years.

Keep in mind that the State of Israel has not kept any Sabbatical years at the right time. This is the same as keeping the weekly Sabbath on Sunday or Wednesday. It is a sin in Yahovah`s sight. Judah took possession of the land in 1948 and has not kept the Sabbatical year. Right now that is 9 Sabbatical years they have not kept. It will be 10 after 2016-2017. There is also one Jubilee year in 1996 they did not keep for a grand total of 10 or after 2016 it will be 11 years which they will owe Yahovah in letting the land rest.

We have an example of this in 2 Chronicles 36: 21 in order to fill the word of ???? by the mouth of Yirmeyahu, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay waste she kept Sabbath, until seventy years were completed.

In order for the deception to take hold of the Messianic brethren something must first happen.

Daniel 9: 27 “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste.

I have shown you from Daniels Timeline how many Messianic brethren are setting themselves up to be deceived. They do this by not checking out the historical years which are recorded and show when the real Sabbatical years occurred; but instead fall for the false truth that the Balfour declaration of 1917 must be a Jubilee year. They then erroneously add to this’ 50 years to come to 1967 and the six day war to prove they are on the right track and then add to this 50 more years to come to 2017 as the final and last Jubilee year when the Messiah is to come.

To aid in this deception they then go to 1948 and take the 62 weeks of Daniel 9:24; Notice the word there is weeks not days but weeks. So they add 62 years on to 1948 and they get 2010 which is this year. They now say that the last 7 weeks is now the next seven years.

So from Daniel 9:27 they conclude that a covenant must be made this year and will be broken in the middle of this next 7 year time period. That would be 2013-2014. Some of these false teachers even went so far as to say this covenant would take place on Shavuot. I was in Israel for Shavuot 2010 and nothing happened. But people still believe these men.

So how is Satan going to cause this deception based on the scriptures we have now read?

He has to have some sort of covenant with the State of Israel who are really just Judah. But many Messianic believe the USA to be Babylon so some sort of agreement with the USA and the State of Israel is to be expected and the USA breaking this agreement in 2013-2014.

A more realistic scenario is one where the European Union makes an agreement with Israel for protection from the Arab nations. Once this is done, then when the King of the South attacks Israel it will in effect be attacking the European Union giving this King of the North the excuse to come in a sweep throughout the Middle east. Europe has a great desire to take hold of the entire Mediterranean Sea region.

The sacrificial system in Jerusalem could then be set up only to be stopped in 2013-2014. The blood moons occur in 2014 and 2015 at Passover and Sukkot in both years.

The noose around Jerusalem’s neck would be getting tighter and tighter up until and after 2017. It is at this time and during the next couple of years until 2019 in which the King of the North, Led by Germany will make a deal with ten kings or set up ten kings during this time with the Muslim nations to aid in the destruction of the United States. Many Messianic will think this is now the last 7 year period again because it did not go exactly as they thought it would during the previous seven years. They will assume the USA to be Babylon and when it is destroyed in 2020 as I clearly show you scripturally in the Prophecies of Abraham these people will be deceived again into thinking the Leader of the European Union is the Messiah. It will in truth be the anti messiah, and they will only realize this after a number of years.

After 2020 both the USA who makes up the lost ten tribes of Israel today and the State of Israel who are the Jewish people today and are but one of the 12 tribes of Israel will then be taken into captivity. So a number of smaller wars or skirmishes will take place leading up to this time.

The lives of you and your family are soon going to be on the line. You need to know what is going on and who is who in the coming years. Martyrdom is to begin soon; are you ready? I use a great deal more scriptures and a lot of historical notes to show you beyond all doubt what is about to happen. Those who have read it are stunned. They did not realize many of the scriptures until they could see them placed together.

If you are one of those who thinks they are about to be raptured out, then you too need to read this book before you are greatly disappointed that you are still here which you will be. Some are claiming they will be raptured this summer. Sorry you are not going to escape the coming punishment. Time to repent.

So the events we see in Israel and the coming war with Hezbollah are all a ruse by Satan so that Europe can come down and control the entire Mediterranean Sea area. It is not the last seven years as you are currently being told.

On Thursday of this past week I was reading from the Lebanon Daily Star the following article http://www.dailystar.com.lb/article.asp?edition_id=1&categ_id=2&article_id=115523# to see what the Lebanese and Syrians were saying about the Boat attack this week. I found what I read extraordinary. Here is some of what the article said.

BEIRUT: Fallout from Israel’s attack on the Freedom Fleet should keep chances slim for any conflict between Lebanon and Israel in the short term, while the assault and the resulting outcry are also providing a boost for Hizbullah at home and in the region, a number of analysts told The Daily Star on Wednesday.

After a welter of belligerent rhetoric on both sides of the border at the beginning of this year, rumors swirled in Lebanon about Israel plotting a summer war on Lebanon, but the international condemnation raining down on the country after Monday morning’s Freedom Fleet massacre will force it to swear off any military action in the immediate future, said retired General Elias Hanna, who teaches political science at various universities.

“Hezbollah will not provoke an Israeli war on Lebanon over the flotilla,” he said. “Hezbollah will not attack Israel unless it is ordered to do so by the Iranians for purely Iranian reasons.”

In addition, the Freedom Fleet attack will strengthen Hizbullah’s regional standing because Turkey – a major backer of the flotilla – has moved much closer to the Iran-Syria-Hamas-Hezbollah resistance in the wake of the incident, Hanna said.

“You have a newcomer – a major ally of the United States – backing Hamas and indirectly backing Hezbollah,” Hanna said of Turkey, which is also a NATO member.

With Egypt deciding to open the Rafah border crossing to ease the blockade of Gaza, Hezbollah can also claim the moral high ground against Cairo over Hezbollah’s history of backing for Hamas in Gaza, Malik said.

Relations between Egypt and Hezbollah collapsed as Egypt recently convicted about 30 people on charges of spying for Hezbollah, aiding Hamas and threatening Egypt’s security. Hezbollah, meanwhile, has long chastised the so-called moderate Arab regimes for accommodating Israel and the US.

“This is one opportunity for Hezbollah to get back at regimes such as Egypt and castigate them for being comatose,” Malik said. “There is a very embarrassing reality that the Turks are shedding blood and the Egyptians are not.”

Back in Lebanon, the Israeli assault could also serve to reignite the traditional anti-Israeli feelings among the country’s Sunnis, Malik said. The sentiment had been prominent throughout much of the 20th century, pushed by popular Sunni leaders such as former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, but in recent years Lebanon’s Sunnis had begun to view Syria as an archenemy after the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Malik added. Many here have blamed Damascus in the killing of Hariri, a Sunni, but Syria has always categorically denied any involvement in the assassination.

Sunnis here had been “frustrated” by Egypt’s ties with Israel, and many then held unrealized hopes that Saudi Arabia would lead the anti-Israel camp without any response; Turkey’s recent actions, however, have resuscitated the anti-Israel stream among the Sunnis here and abroad, Malik said.

“This is galvanizing the Sunnis here, to some extent, back to this anti-Israel position that they used to hold before,” he added. “All of a sudden, Turkey in the Sunni Arab street is reviving some of that sentiment. There’s an audience waiting to be passionately aroused.”

Again I ask you brethren, do you see what is going on here. Stop with the propaganda stuff and stop with the Illuminati and conspiracy theory stuff that many of you are passing around and look past the headlines and look at what is going on that is not reported. This article touches on a number of things. The line that says there is an audience waiting to be passionately aroused, is so insightful.

I have until today believed the King of the South is Egypt, not Iran, but upon reading this scripture in Daniel again I see that the King of the North after attacking the King of the south in verse 40 then reaches fourth his hand in verse 42 to then take Egypt. Maybe Iran is the King of the South.

Your bible says this in Daniel 11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind , with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over . 41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown : but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

Daniel 11:42 implies that Egypt will be allied with the king of the south, or Iran…The king of the south, or Iran, is going to “push at him”—that is, the king of the north (the European Union)… The king of the south is about state-sponsored terrorism. That is how Iran became king! Daniel 11:40-43 is an end-time prophecy. It is about a nation that is always pushy in its foreign policy. It pushes until it starts a war.

Here again is what was said in the Lebanese paper. . “Hezbollah will not attack Israel unless it is ordered to do so by the Iranians for purely Iranian reasons.”

So we can see that Iran is the one calling the shots.

But this paper also mentions Turkey. How does turkey fit into all of this?

I now go to http://www.britam.org/Questions/QuesEdom.html and you read what I have quoted; take note of each of the countries mentioned and as you do consider Psalm 83.

In our book “Ephraim” we have a whole chapter dedicated to Edom. We pointed out that Esau-Edom in addition to the small Idumean entity southeast of Israel also established kingdoms elsewhere. Our Brit-Am Biblical Commentaries also recall this. We traced Edom to Tyre, Babylon, Northern Syria, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Thrace, the Baltic, Germany, and elsewhere. We nowhere said that Edom was a majority in these regions only that a certain Edomite presence had been recorded there whether as part of a tribal confederation or as a ruling body.

We repeat again,
WE DID NOT IDENTIFY THESE PLACES WITH EDOM but rather with an Edomite presence that could have (or have had) importance.
We quoted sources for the identifications we made.

We also located Edom in the north Syrian region and surrounding areas.

We believe that from these areas they later migrated to Europe as well as Japan.

Banyai suggest an Edomite polity in the region of Gozan. This possibility ties in with additional information pointing in the same direction.

Nachmanides and others identified UZ with Armenia meaning at that time the region of Northern Syria and this corresponds with the location of an offshoot from Edom in that region.

In “Ephraim” we mention the Temenu in Gozan as well as the Tummana in northern Turkey. Gozan is in Northern Syria.

In addition a few notes from another work listing Edomite entities to the north of Israel could be in order. This source (Bar Deroma) also finds Edomites to the east and south but in this summary we are concerned only with a northerly direction.

The following Notes are based on Selected points made by Bar-Deroma (pp. 347-353) and do not encompass all he wrote on the subject and they are not verbatim quotes from his work.

Edom in the North
There were numerous cities in the Roman Empire known as Caesaria.
Bar Deroma says that a certain Caesaria associated with Edom was by the Euphrates River.

The Bible says:
“OUT OF EPHRAIM WAS THERE A ROOT OF THEM AGAINST AMALEK” [Judges 5:14]
Bar Deroma takes the Hebrew translated as “OUT OF EPHRAIM WAS THERE A ROOT”
[“Mini Ephraim shorsham”]
as referring to a place contested by both Ephraim and Edom (Amalek).
In Hebrew the word for A ROOT is “shoresh” using the letters SRS.
Bar Deroma believes this was a place otherwise known as “Saris” or something similar and referred to in Assyrian inscriptions. He suggests a location near Tarsis in Cilicia in southeast Turkey.

Targum Yehonatan (Aramaic Translation): “IN THE LAND OF UZ is Armenia”.
There is no difference between the Midrash and Yehonatan since the Kingdom of Persia would often extend its domain into Armenia in North Syria.

Amos speaks of Edom as linked with Gaza in the south and as associated with Tyre in the north.

Bar-Deroma claims that in Amos ch.1 two separate Edomite entities are referred to, one in the south (Amos 1:6) and one (Amos 1:9) in the north.

Note: In Hebrew the word translated as “Syrians” is “Aram”.
“Aram” [aleph-reish-mem] is spelt similarly to “Edom” [aleph-reish-vav-mem]. The second last letter (vav) in the name Edom could conceivably be deleted and still leave the meaning unchanged though I found no such examples of this in the Hebrew Concordance.
The letter “reish” (R) in ARaM in later modern Hebrew is drawn similarly to a “Dalet” (D) and a scribal error could conceivably take place causing the names “Edom” and Aram to get mixed up. This has been suggested by some but we do not accept it.

Bar Deroma suggests that in practice ARAM and Edom did intermix and that Edomites settled in Aram and became part of the Aramaeans. The same entity could therefore be referred to alternately as either Aram or Edom.
For this reason UZ is considered both part of Aram (Genesis 10:23) and part of Seir (Genesis 26:28) who was associated with Edom.
UZ according to Saadia Gaon was in the region of Damascus but the earlier Aramaic Translations located it in Armenia, and this was the identification agreed to by Nachmanides. The two sources do not necessarily contradict since the term “Damascus” could refer to an area far to the north of the city of Damascus known to us today.
In fact there were anciently two places referred to as Damascus, one the Damascus capital of Syria as we recognize it today and the other in the Gozan-Khabur area.

Edom and the Phoenicians

The Aramaic translation to 1-Chronicles 1:51 says that Leaders from Edom ruled over the land of the Gebals meaning the Phoenician city of Byblos north of Beirut in Lebanon.

Bar Deroma says there was a city named Caesaria in the region of Antiochia in northern Syria and this city was associated with Edom.

The Phoenician city of Tyre was dividied into two sections and one of the sections was attributed to Edom.

Note:
The Phoenicians apparently called themselves Canaanites. The Greeks called them “Phoiniki” which is usually explained to mean “Red People” after the dye they produced BUT it could just as well be a translation of “Edomite”.
It is worth remembering that Edom in Hebrew means “Red” (Genesis 25:30).

Bar Deroma quotes sources identifying Tyre with Edom.
The word transalted as Tyre in Hebrew is TSOR literally meaning “Rock”.
TSOR is spelt both with the letter “vav” representing the “O” sound and without the letter but the “O” sound being implied.
Midrash Tanchuma (“BO”) says that where it is spelt in full [with the letter] the Phoenician Kingdom of Tyre is intended and where it is spelt lacking the letter the intention is to the Kingdom of Edom.

Conclusion: The sources adduced by Bar Deroma along with additional information provided both above and elsewhere by Brit-Am show that there were several entities derived from Edom and that Edom gave rise to ruling military elites in other nations. Eventually Edom apparently became an important factor in the histories of Europe and Asia.

The question has made the rounds in Iran since last month, (2008) when a pro-government Web site published a Hadith (or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam.

According to the tradition, Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet’s cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a “tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.”

Commanding “the strongest army on earth,” the new ruler in the West will carry “a clear sign” from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: “Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us.”

In a curious coincidence Obama’s first and second names–Barack Hussein–mean “the blessing of Hussein” in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means “he is with us,” the magic formula in Majlisi’s tradition.

Also in the news this week and this is extremely terrifying. It is the current news about Spain’s credit rating being downgraded. Most people did not even bat an eye at this. At least one other Group of Believers has noted this in their News Letter this past week and that is Norman Willis.

* Spain is on the brink right now: If you thought the debt crisis in Greece was bad, wait till you see what’s coming next! The New York Times reports that “the focus of Europe’s problem is rapidly shifting from Greece to Spain, one of the world’s largest economies.”

In fact, Spanish authorities have just seized a major bank there and forced the merger of four others in trouble. Even more Spanish bank failures are on the way as a result of Spain’s own real estate meltdown.

How much could this hurt our markets? Consider the facts:
Until now, yes, Greece was the great nemesis that caused nearly all of the panic. But Greece has only $236 billion in external debts. Spain has $1.1 trillion, or FIVE times more.

Greece owes money almost entirely to European banks, impacting U.S. banks only INDIRECTLY. Spain owes a big chunk of its debts to U.S. banks, impacting them DIRECTLY.

* European “Blacklist” growing rapidly: Portugal, Italy, and Ireland are so close on the heels of Greece and Spain, they are already on the Blacklist of virtually every lender and investor in the world.

These countries can’t borrow money for their huge spending programs. They can’t even roll over their old debts coming due without paying exorbitant interest rates. They have little choice but to slash their government spending — all in a last-ditch attempt to reassure their lenders. Italy proposes to lop off $31 billion in spending. Spain is contemplating the deepest budget cuts in three decades.

But that will not be nearly enough to reassure lenders … and yet it will gut their economies even more. Result: Rising unemployment, slumping corporate profits and still GREATER danger of debt defaults.

* Like several Lehmans all failing at the same time: When Lehman Brothers went under 20 months ago, it instantly froze up global markets, shut down short-term lending, sent the economy into a nosedive, and helped drive the Dow down nearly 5,000 points.
But by any measure, a default by a country like Spain would be far bigger than that of any single corporation, with the potential to wreck even greater havoc in financial markets.

And right now, we already have three debt crisis warning signs, each flashing red …

The single most important interest rate in the entire world is now on the rise!

I’m talking about the London Interbank Offered Rate — LIBOR. This is the rate that’s behind virtually every short-term loan in the United States.

When LIBOR goes up, it promptly drives up the rates in the multi-trillion-dollar market for adjustable-rate mortgages, the $7.2 trillion market for corporate loans — and more all right here in the U.S. And right now, that’s precisely what LIBOR is doing — GOING UP!

That alone can be a shock to the global economy. But what is especially shocking is the fact that there’s virtually nothing the Federal Reserve or even the European Central Bank (ECB) can do about it.

LIBOR is an interest rate that’s determined by the supply and demand for money in the global market. The Fed and the ECB have never been able to control it — and probably never will. And yet, as I said, LIBOR impacts the rates on trillions of dollars of mortgages and other loans right here in the United States.

This has earth-shattering implications. It not only means the global debt crisis is heating up. It also means that the Fed and central banks around the world are losing their power to STOP the global debt crisis from getting a lot worse!

How do we know? Because one of the world’s most important measure of the debt crisis is already surging! (It’s the two-year swap spread — essentially reflecting what banks charge for managing the risk on two-year loans over and above equivalent Treasury yields.)

Last year, when Washington spent trillions of dollars to rescue nearly every major U.S. bank in trouble, this crisis indicator fell sharply, signaling — at least temporarily — that the worst of the crisis had passed.

At its low, the two-year swap spread fell to a meager 9.6 points just this past March. Now it has EXPLODED to as much as 64 basis points — almost a seven-fold increase.

But now, it’s surging again, up SEVEN-FOLD from its lows. The clear message: A new, potentially BIGGER debt crisis is in the offing.

The cost of insuring against big corporate defaults has nearly DOUBLED in just the past few weeks!

That means investors believe the risk that corporate bonds will default has also nearly doubled!

And I am NOT talking about just junk companies that everyone knew were risky to begin with. Heck no! I’m talking about INVESTMENT-grade companies, the ones meriting some of the highest ratings handed out by S&P, Moody’s, or Fitch.

The big question: If even supposedly “safe” corporate BONDS are growing riskier almost by the day …

Imagine the massive risk investors are taking with STOCKS issued by those same corporations!

These debt crisis warnings tipped us off to the Dow’s 7000-point-plus collapse of 2007-2009 …

Now, they’re warning of an equally massive bloodletting directly ahead!

Yes, that’s right: These are exactly the same indicators that told us that a Great Debt Crisis would soon crush the U.S. stock market beginning back in late 2007.

They are the tools we used to warn our Safe Money subscribers of the last big market bust well ahead of time.
Now, they are telling us that we are living on borrowed time, with an equally — or more — painful stock market implosion just ahead.

Here’s why this could be …

Another Big Blow to Bank of America … Citibank … SunTrust … and Hundreds More U.S. Banks

This is NOT rocket science.
We know that virtually ALL of the recovery in the stock market since March of 2009 was based largely on the assumption that “the CREDIT crisis was over.” But the explosion of this new debt crisis in Europe is a stark reminder that the most severe economic catastrophe since the Great Depression is NOT over. It has merely taken on a different form.

The big dilemma: Despite the recent recovery, many of the nation’s banks are STILL vulnerable. That’s according to the latest ratings just released by Weiss Ratings, the only ratings that consistently warned investors, well ahead of time, of nearly every major banking failure in recent years.

* Bank of America merits a Weiss Financial Strength Rating of D (weak). It still has huge amounts of bad loans on its books, with close to one third of its capital tied up bad loans alone. It’s taking massive risks with derivatives. It’s definitely not yet out of the woods.

* Citibank gets a D- for similar reasons.
* SunTrust Bank also gets a D-. Its bad loans make up an even bigger share of its capital than BofA’s.
* Overall, there are 2,259 banks and thrifts in the U.S. meriting a weak Weiss Rating, with only 962 getting a strong rating. The bigger problem: The strong banks control only 3.7% of the banking industry’s assets. The weak banks control 43.8%.
And this is BEFORE they feel the inevitable impacts of the European debt crisis on global markets or our economy!

Here’s the key:
It was mostly the recovery in our nation’s largest banks — bought and paid for by Washington — that created the illusion that a real, sustainable economic recovery was beginning.

That illusion triggered a recovery in the Dow.

But now, with thousands of U.S. banks barely able to fog a mirror … and with European borrowers in danger of defaulting, these banks are now facing a new peril that they did not anticipate.

In any debt crisis, banks and other financial companies are inevitably the first to take the biggest hits. And if they’re still loaded with bad loans — like the big banks I just told you about — they’re bound to suffer massive losses.

My forecast:
Do NOT be surprised to see major financial stocks plunge back toward their lows of March 2009, taking most of the rest of the entire stock market with them!

Yet ANOTHER European debt market is blowing up. This time it’s Hungary. A government official said the economy there is in a “very grave situation,” raising fears the country could default on its debt. That’s amazing considering the country just got a $24 billion bailout back in 2008.

The result? The yield on Hungarian bonds is soaring relative to U.S. Treasuries. The Hungarian currency, the forint, is plunging in value. And the Budapest Stock Exchange index is collapsing by more than 1,200 points, or 5.5%, to around 20,800.
This kind of market action tells me the sovereign debt crisis is getting worse, not better. And the lousy economic news here in the U.S. tells me that stocks are more vulnerable than ever.

Triennial Torah Cycle

We continue this weekend with our regular Triennial Torah reading which can be found online.

This is our 12th week 05/06/2010

Gen 12

Abram is told to leave. It is from this time in Abrahams life chronologically along with the other scriptures I have shared with you about 2010 and the planting of the tree in the first year and the end of the curse on Israel, that has led me to conclude we are to leave and return back to Israel in this year of 2010.

The first place Abram comes to and settles at is Shechem and in particular Alon Moreh which today is called Elon More which is east of Nabulus. This is just a few mile from Ariel where we will be spending some time later this year.

Archaeological evidence indicates that the city was razed and reconstructed up to 22 times before its final demise in AD 200. Within the remains of the city can still be found a number of walls and gates built for defence, a government house, a residential quarter and the ruins of a temple raised to Zeus by the Roman Emperor Hadrian (reigned 117 – 138), the latter dating to the second century AD.

Its position is clearly indicated in the Bible: it lay north of Bethel and Shiloh, on the high road going from Jerusalem to the northern districts (Judges xxi, 19), at a short distance from Machmethath (Joshua 17:7) and of Dothain (Genesis 37:12-17); it was in the hill-country of Ephraim (Joshua 20:7; 21:21; 1 Kings 12:25; 1 Chronicles 6:67; 7:28), immediately below Mount Gerizim (Judges 9:6-7). These indications are completed by Josephus, who says that the city lay between Mount Ebal and Mt. Garizim, and by the Madaba map, which places Sychem, also called Sikima between the Tour Gobel (Ebal) and the Tour Garizin (Garizim). We may therefore admit unhesitatingly that Sichem stood on (St. Jerome, St. Epiphanius), or very close to (Eusebius, “Onomast.”, Euchem; Medaba map), the site occupied by the town of Nablus, the Neapolis, or Flavia Neapolis of early Christian ages.
Brethren the rest of this chapter speaks of what happened to Abram and Sarai when they went down to Egypt.

As I show you in the book the Prophecies of Abraham which you can order, Yahovah repeatedly shows us little bits of information each time Israel, which in this case is in the loins of Abram and is actually represented by Sarai, but each time Israel has interaction with Egypt or Babylon or the Beast Power or in other words with each time Israel interacts with Satan it is a prophecy to us today if we will notice it.

Pharaoh wanted Sarai, Satan wanted Israel, and just as Egypt tried to hold the Israelites’ as slaves before the Exodus and was cursed with plaques for not letting them go, this time Pharaoh`s house is plagued with great plagues and he does release Sarai.

It is my own personal view that the plagues were similar as those that hit Egypt.

The year that Abraham left Haran was 2023 After Creation which is 1814 BC. This is the second Sabbatical year of that Jubilee cycle. The famine happened in the early part of the third Sabbatical cycle which matches with 2010 in our day by comparing each Sabbatical cycle with others throughout history. This is where I have learned of the Prophecies of Abraham. I do hope you will go and buy it now. I will be explaining each of the following chapters of Abraham but not nearly as detailed as I do in the book. You need the book.

Judges 3-4

In chapter two we are told that Joshua died. In Jasher Chapter 90:47 And at the end of two years, Joshua the son of Nun died, one hundred and ten years old, and the time which Joshua judged Israel was twenty-eight years, and Israel served the Lord all the days of his life.

Joshua began to serve Israel just before he crossed the Jordan when Moses died, but Joshua`s first year would be the next Aviv which is when he crossed the Jordan. We have shown this year that he crossed the Jordan to be 2500 after Creation or 1337 BC which is both a Jubilee year and the first year of the next jubilee cycle. Adding 28 years on to this date brings us to 2528 After Creation or 1309 BC.

In chapter 3 we are told how some of the Canaanites lived along side of Israel. And then in verse 6 we are told how Israel began to intermarry with the Canaanites and then they began to serve their gods. We are then told over and over how Yahovah sold Israel into the hands of this king or that one and then He raised up one of the Judges to free them from their captivity.

But it is during this time period from the time that Joshua dies until the time King Saul is chosen as King that has many chronologists in a dizzy. I have recorded that Joshua crossed the Jordan 2500 years After creation or 1337 BC. The fourth year of Solomon is 2870 after creation or 967 BC A difference of 370 years. But….

We are told in Act 13: 20 “And after that He gave judges for about four hundred and fifty years, until Shemu’?l the prophet.
We are also told in 1 Kings 6:1 And it came to be, in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Yisra’?l had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, in the fourth year of the reign of Shelomoh over Yisra’?l, in the month of Ziw, which is the second month, that he began to build the House of ????.

Yet in the Septuagint 1kings 6:1 Solomon’s temple was commenced in the 440th year after the departure of the Israelites out of Egypt. It was the fourth year of Solomon’s Reign.

In Josephus we read from the Exodus to the building of the temple were five hundred ninety-two years [JOSEPHUS, Antiquities, 8.3.1]; deduct forty years in the wilderness; 28 years of Joshua’s rule [JOSEPHUS, Antiquities, 5.1.29]; forty years of Saul’s reign (Act 13:2); forty of David’s and the first four years of Solomon’s reign (1 Ki 6:1), and there remain, just four hundred forty years;
This matches with the Septuagint.

K. A. Kitchen (Ancient Orient and Old Testament, 1966, pp.72-75) gives extended discussion and concludes that the 480 years is ‘some kind of aggregate of overlapping periods which spanned the (approx) 300 years’.

Once again using my Sabbatical and Jubilee charts. From the 4th year of Solomon to the year Joshua enters Canaan is 370 years. If we add to this the 40 years in the wilderness we come to 410 years.

The Biblical Data for the Period of the Judges is:

To calculate how much time elapsed between Entry into Canaan and Solomon’s 4th year, we would have to add to these 450 years listed above, the following.
• The Judgeship of Joshua
• The Judgeship of Samuel
• The Kingship of Saul
• The Kingship of David
• Plus the 4 years of King Solomon.

Whilst we have definite Biblical chronological references to David and Solomon, there are only extra-Biblical records upon which we can rely in determining the time periods for Joshua, Samuel and Saul. These indicate that Joshua was judge for up to 28 years; that Samuel was judge for 30 years; and that Saul reigned up to 22 years. A total of between 60 and 80 years.

This increases the 450 years listed above to between 510 and 530 years.

To this must be added the 40 years for David and the first 4 years of Solomon, to give us a total of between 554 and 574 years to elapse between the Israelite entrance into Canaan and (incl.) the 4th year of Solomon.

If the period of the Judges was 554 – 574 years then clearly, something is wrong with the reference in 1 Kings 6:1 to a period of 440 or 480 years.

It is clear that some of the stories in the book of Judges are not arranged in chronological order and not all the periods are accompanied by the phrase “and after this.” Overlap can be seen in Samson’s 20 years that were expressly “in the days of the Philistines” (Judges 15:11, 20).

The view that 480 is accurate but that it does not mean to include the times of oppressions listed in the book of Judges. This type of thinking has precedence in ancient Egypt and the Near East. For example, Egyptian king lists would omit those dynasties and reigns of kings that were foreign-born, since these were considered a national disgrace by the native Egyptians. Adding in the 111 years of oppressions during Judges would raise the 480-year figure to 591 years. The New Testament book of Acts might support this thinking. Acts 13:19-20 may indicate that the time of Judges alone was 450 years (to which would need to be added the other parts of the history to get to Solomon). The 450-year figure in Acts would correspond to the 111 years of oppression in Judges added to the 339 years of judgeship and peace.

I Kings 6:1 states that the exodus was 480 years before the Temple of Solomon was built, yet Josephus clearly states 592 years in his book The Antiquity of the Jews. The difference seems to be in the way the rule of the Judges was calculated. Josephus seems to include the oppressions as well as the judges, whereas the writer of Kings excludes the rule of oppressors, as was customary at this time (Jackson and Lake 1979, 151). This amounts to about 111 years difference.

So now let’s try this once more. We have two references to the fact that Oppression years were not counted during this time. Let us say that the 480 years did include the years of oppression. Then we should be subtracting them and not adding them as these other commentators have been doing.

I have stated that between the entrance into the Land of Canaan and the fourth year of Solomon is 370 years. If we were to add to this the 111 years of Oppression as stated in the commentary above we arrive at 481 years. And it is now my opinion that this riddle has now been solved.

The 480 years mentioned in 1 Kings 6:1 includes the years of oppression. Josephus instead of subtracting these 111 years of oppression added them to arrive at 592 years. Had he of subtracted them he would have arrived at 370 as I do with one year in descrepency.

Ps 26-28

In Psalm 27 is mention of The secret place. 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

I will say no more than this on this subject. Those of you who have taken the tour In Jerusalem with me should take special note of this one verse. Those of you have not toured Jerusalem with me, now have a reason to do so if you want to learn the meaning of this verse.

Mat 16 – 17:21

2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.”

Brethren it has been the purpose of this News Letter and the Chronological Order of Prophecy in the Jubilee DVD as well as the Book The Prophecies of Abraham to show you exactly where we are chronologically so that you can know and discern the signs and the times. This is also done by keeping the Holy Days as they come along each year. There no longer is any need to be guessing at when those things spoken of in scriptures will take place.

The sign of Jonah is the only sign we are given to prove that the Messiah was the Messiah.

Jonah was in the belly of a great fish for three days and three nights. For those of you who are numerically challenged I have written about this at: “The Sign of Jonah“,  Here we show you that Friday to Saturday night is not three days nor is it three nights as some claim.

The records of the British Admiralty testify that James Bartley, an apprentice seaman on a whaler, was swallowed by a whale in February, 1891, some two hundred miles east of the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. He survived the ordeal and this is his amazing tale.

It was his first whaling voyage and he was aboard the whaling ship Star of the East.

The lookout spotted a huge sperm whale half a mile off the port bow and gave the cry ‘There she blows!’ The ship’s sails were slackened and soon her small boats were lowered. A deadly race began between the Star of the East and the immense whale.

Young James BartIey was in the first longboat to reach the side of the prey. They crept up from the rear, so near that the harpooner leaned over and rammed his weapon deep into the whale’s vitals. As the stricken beast sought to free itself of the harpoon, Bartley and the other oarsmen rowed frantically to get out of reach of the massive flukes, the two-pronged tail which threshed the water to foam in the whale’s agony.

The whale sounded and eight hundred feet of heavy line streaked out of the line tub before he ended his dive. Then an ominous slacking in the line signaled the monster was going to surface. But where?

The oarsmen readied themselves to pull for their lives. Without warning there was a splintering crash which sent the longboat spinning into the air. The whale thrashed about wildly, snapping at the men and the wreckage with its huge jaws as the water turned to a bloody froth before he sounded again.

Another longboat picked up the survivors of this encounter, but two men were missing – one of them the young apprentice, James Bartley.

The wind now deserted the Star of the East and for hours she lay becalmed, wallowing in a light swell.

Shortly before sunset, the now dead whale floated to the surface a few hundred yards from the ship. In a longboat, the crew hastily fastened a line to the whale and the winch brought it to the ship’s side. The hot weather climate made it imperative that the whale be cut up at once. Having no means of raising it to the deck, the men took their flensing spades and peeled off the blubber as they slipped and slid along the immense back of this giant mammal.

Late that night, working by lantern-light, the tired crewmen removed the stomach of the whale and slowly winched it to the deck for flensing. They were startled to notice movement inside the large sack, movement that looked like something living and breathing. The captain called the ship’s doctor who made an incision in the tough flesh. And out slid the doubled up missing sailor, James Bartley, as if he were suffering from severe stomach cramps. He was alive, but unconscious.

The doctor ordered Bartley drenched with sea water, a treatment which restored his consciousness but not his reason, for he babbled incoherently.

Confined to a cabin for several weeks and bound so he could not injure himself in his wild flounderings, Bartley gradually regained his senses. Within a month he was able to relate what had happened to him in his terrifying experience.

Bartley said that as he was cast into the water from the long boat he saw a tremendous mouth open over him and he screamed as he was engulfed by it. He then felt sharp stabbing pains as he was swept across the teeth and then slid feet first down a slimy tube that carried him to the whale’s stomach. He could breath, but the hot, fetid odor soon rendered him unconscious and the last thing he remembers was kicking as hard as he could at the soft, yielding stomach. Finally, he lapsed into unconsciousness until he again came to his senses almost a month later.

As a result of his fifteen hours inside the whale’s stomach, Bartley lost all the hair on his body and was blind for the rest of his life. His skin was bleached to an unnatural whiteness that gave the appearance of being bloodless, although he was healthy.

James Bartley never made another trip to the sea and settled down to shore life as a cobbler in his native city of Gloucester, England. He died eighteen years after his remarkable survival and terrifying adventure.

On his tombstone in the churchyard at Gloucester is a brief account of his experience at sea and a footnote, which says: James Bartley -1870-1909 – A Modem Jonah.

Yahshua next warns the disciples of the leaven of the Pharisees. Far too many Christians take this scripture as do not listen to the Pharisees or Sadducees or in other words they are New Testament and there is nothing to learn from the Jewish leadership. This is totally wrong.

This saying of Yahshua would also aptly apply to each and every group that meets and teaches from the scriptures. Beware of those who are teaching you. Beware of their Hypocrisy and of their doctrines. What are these doctrines that are so hypocritical?

If they are teaching you things not found in the Torah or lessons that cannot be backed up from the Scriptures, this is what you must beware of and that goes for any rabbi, or any Pastor, or Priest or leader of any group. This verse in Mathew is not against the Pharisees, and Sadducees, it is against those who are teaching false doctrines or hypocritical ones that nullify the Torah by their own traditions.

We just read of this in last week’s Torah portion
Mathew 15: 1 Then there came to ????? scribes and Pharisees from Yerushalayim, saying, 2 “Why do Your taught ones transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” 3 But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Elohim1 because of your tradition? Footnote: 1See Mat. 5:20. 4 “For Elohim has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5 “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,” 6 is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Elohim by your tradition. 7 “Hypocrites! Yeshayahu rightly prophesied about you, saying, 8 ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. 9 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’

Proverb 30: 6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

Deuteronomy 4: 2 “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of ???? your Elohim which I am commanding you

Revelation 22: 18 For I witness to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, Elohim shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the set-apart city, which are written in this Book.

Mathew 16:17 is the infamous lines of binding and loosening, which were given to Peter and which is also the line that the Pope uses to justify any changes to the Torah that have been made over the years. It is from this divine permission to change the laws that many group leaders have transgressed their own authority and laud it over the people of that denomination taking this scripture as permission to change the laws as they see fit.

Do you really think Yahovah would give this sort of authority to men who would one week make this law on makeup binding and then the next week loosen the same law?

What is the truth of the matter?

From Andrew Roth’s Aramaic New Testament we read;
The binding and loosening refers to the application of Torah (halakha), what is prohibited/obligated (bound) and what is allowed (loosened) within Torah infrastructure. Acts15:28,29 is an example of binding and loosening; the matter of circumcision was being applied commensurate to immediate need, as directed by the Ruach haKodesh. Instead of performing the act of circumcision before learning Torah, new converts are required to learn and apply Torah first, and then, when they have a good understanding, they are circumcised, but not the other way around. The Keys of the Kingdom are Wisdom and Discernment given by the Ruahch haKodesh to apply the word of YHVH.

Our last scripture we will look at this week is Mathew 16:24 NKJV Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

The Scriptures 24 Then ????? said to His taught ones, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his stake, and follow Me.

The word Cross or Stake is not the proper translation.

The word should be ‘Staff’ Take up your staff and follow me. It literally means to exercise your personal authority. A staff is a symbol of Authority that is used for mobility and protection and such as a Shepherds staff. Christian versions insert cross here which does not appear in either the Aramaic or Greek texts.

Numbers 17: 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and get from them a rod from each father’s house, all their leaders according to their fathers’ houses–twelve rods. Write each man’s name on his rod. 3 And you shall write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi. The 613 Mitzvot

79. That a widow whose husband died childless must not be married to anyone but her deceased husband’s brother (Deut. 25:5) (CCN135) (this is only in effect insofar as it requires the procedure of release below).

A widow whose husband died childless must not be married to anyone but her deceased husband’s brother. “If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the widow of the dead man shall not be married to a stranger outside the family; her husband’s brother shall go in to her, take her as his wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her. And it shall be that the firstborn son which she bears will succeed to the name of his dead brother, that his name may not be blotted out of Israel.” (Deuteronomy 25:5-6) In ancient Israel, this mitzvah was part of the welfare system, intimate and practical, as usual. To become a widow was bad enough, but to be left with no sons to carry on the family name and provide familial support was considered a catastrophic tragedy. The widow wasn’t to remarry just anybody. God’s ideal solution was for the dead husband’s brother to marry the widow (even if he was already married, so the rules governing polygamy apply—see #73). The first son born of this union of necessity would bear the name, status, and inheritance rights of the deceased husband. This also kept the DNA—the genetic profile—of the son as close as possible to what it would have been had the dead brother been his actual father.

There were several big “ifs” attached to this mitzvah, however. First, the brothers had to have dwelled “together” with each other before the first died. Yachad comes from a word that means “unit.” It’s not specified just how close this togetherness had to be, but if the guy never saw his brother except at gatherings like the Feast of Tabernacles, all bets were apparently off. Second, there was a “get-out-of-marriage-free card,” so to speak. We’ll address that under #81.

One must marry the widow of a brother who has died childless. “…her husband’s brother shall go in to her, take her as his wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her.” (Deuteronomy 25:5) The scripture supporting the affirmatively stated converse to Mitzvah #79 stresses that the widow was not to be looked at as a charity case, but was to be a full-fledged member of the family with all the rights and privileges of any wife, including conjugal rights. The primary idea, after all, was to ensure that the dead brother’s line continued. This whole “marry-your-brother’s-widow” concept was not new with the Law of Moses, by the way. God took this issue of genetic heritage very seriously generations before the exodus: consider the case of Judah’s son Onan in Genesis 38. Yahweh killed him (verse 10) for refusing to father a son for his dead brother Er. It’s a pretty convoluted tale, but the bloodline of the Messiah was at stake here. Judah himself unwittingly ended up fathering his own grandson (i.e., the son of his daughter-in-law), Perez (a direct ancestor of King David). Twisted but true.

81. That the widow formally release the brother-in-law (if he refuses to marry her) (Deut. 25:7-9) (CCA46).

The widow (as in #79 and 80) must formally release the brother-in-law if he refuses to marry her. “But if the man does not want to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate to the elders, and say, ‘My husband’s brother refuses to raise up a name to his brother in Israel; he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.’ Then the elders of his city shall call him and speak to him. But if he stands firm and says, ‘I do not want to take her,’ then his brother’s wife shall come to him in the presence of the elders, remove his sandal from his foot, spit in his face, and answer and say, ‘So shall it be done to the man who will not build up his brother’s house.’ And his name shall be called in Israel, ‘The house of him who had his sandal removed.’”

(Deuteronomy 25:7-10) Okay, so it’s not a stoning offense. This puts the “marry-your-brother’s-widow” rule in the “strongly suggested” category. Notice that three times in the greater passage, the phrase “in Israel” or “of Israel” is used. This is a strong indication that the mitzvah was never intended to apply outside eretz Israel, or beyond the time frame of the theocratic assembly (which admittedly was designed to last more or less forever). This is one of those “Laws” that can’t possibly be kept today (if only because modern Israel forbids polygamy). If keeping the letter of the whole Law was what justified us with Yahweh, we’d all be in deep spit.

Forbidden Sexual Relations

82. Not to indulge in familiarities with relatives, such as kissing, embracing, winking, skipping, which may lead to incest (Lev. 18:6) (CCN110).

Do not indulge in familiarities with relatives, such as kissing, embracing, winking, or skipping, which may lead to incest. “None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am Yahweh.” (Leviticus 18:6) This verse does not, as the rabbis suggest, prohibit specific ostensibly innocent activities that could be preludes to sexual sin. Rather, it introduces and summarizes an entire category of taboo relationships listed in Leviticus 18. In this whole next section, then, we will explore these specific forbidden relationships one at a time. One thing we should make clear at the outset: to “uncover one’s nakedness” is an unambiguous Hebrew euphemism for sexual relations—it does not merely mean to strip (or skip, for that matter). However, the use of the word “approach” (Hebrew qarab: to come near, approach, bring forth) signals that not only is the actual act forbidden, but also the intent—read: “Don’t attempt to seduce them.” This of course meshes perfectly with what Yahshua had to say in Matthew 5:28—to look at a woman with lust is tantamount to committing adultery with her. God looks at the heart.

We should not skip over the admonition that punctuates this summary verse: “I am Yahweh.” This oft-repeated formula is the reason given for all the detailed instruction on sexual purity that would follow. It’s a reminder that Yahweh created a certain order to things: one man and one woman becoming one flesh, metaphorically in their life together, and literally in the procreation of offspring through physical union driven by mutual love. This is a picture, of course, of our relationship with God. When we are “born from above” or “born of the Spirit,” we become the spiritual offspring of our Heavenly Father, Yahweh, and our “Mother,” the Holy Spirit (remember, the word for Spirit, ruwach, is a feminine noun in Hebrew). This makes us Christ’s adopted brothers and sisters! Yahshua said, “For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.” (Mark 3:35) And that’s why Paul could write, “We are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.” (Romans 8:16-17) If we indulge in sexual relationships that violate the divine metaphor, we have defaced the priceless masterpiece Yahweh has created, like scribbling a moustache on the Mona Lisa.

Do not commit incest with your mother. “The nakedness of your…mother you shall not uncover. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.” (Leviticus 18:7) On a human level, I find it hard to believe that instruction on this matter was even deemed necessary. Could the whole Oedipus thing have been such a big problem in ancient Israel that it had to be singled out for condemnation? Probably not, although it might have been in Canaan. We must remember the family metaphor Yahweh is employing here: to commit incest with one’s mother is to usurp the place of your father—thus it is tantamount to seizing the authority of Yahweh.

84. Not to commit sodomy with one’s father (Lev. 18:7) (CCN111).

Do not commit sodomy with your father. “The nakedness of your father…you shall not uncover.” (Leviticus 18:7) Though the rabbis have taken the usual stance that the mitzvot are written to an exclusively male audience, there’s no reason to suppose that this prohibition applied exclusively to sons: all sexual relations between parents and children are forbidden by the Torah. Frankly, it’s shocking to consider that mentioning the possibility was even found necessary. But again, the family metaphor is being brought into play: to have sex with one’s father was to steal the place of one’s mother: it’s a picture of usurping the role of the Holy Spirit.

As an aside, there’s an incident recorded in Genesis 9:20-24 that may well be foundational for this mitzvah. Sometime after the flood, Noah planted a vineyard, made some wine, got drunk, and passed out butt-naked in his tent. His younger son Ham, the record says, “saw” his father in this state. The Hebrew word for “saw” is ra’ah, which implies more than a fleeting glance. It means “to behold, consider, enjoy, gaze…” Also, the same words for “uncover” and “nakedness” we find so often in Leviticus 18 are used here, and as B&C point out, when used together they imply sexual relations. Could it be that Ham did more to his father Noah than our English translations actually report? After all, verse 24 says, “So Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had done to him.” The result was a curse on the house of Ham through his youngest son, Canaan. The point of all this is that the father (because he represents Yahweh in the family structure) is to receive reverence and respect at all times from all his children.

You will also note that the city of Sodom was also listed as one of the cities of Canaan. It is from this word that we get the word sodomy. The word “sodomized” comes from the word “sodomy”, which in its turn comes from the word “Sodom”, which is the name of an ancient city in Palestine. According to the Book of Genesis 19:24, the city of Sodom was destroyed together with all its population for the sins of its people. Do not commit incest with your father’s wife. “The nakedness of your father’s wife you shall not uncover; it is your father’s nakedness.” (Leviticus 18:8) Incest with your mother was covered in #83, so this mitzvah, it seems, is expanding and refining the rule to include other wives your father may have married, either as a widower or in a polygamous union. Either way, it supports the basic tenet of being respectful of your father, who stands in for God in the family constitution. Again we see that wrongly exercising your father’s prerogative and privilege is equated to usurping the authority of Yahweh, which (in case you’ve lost your bearings) is a bad thing. And again, this mitzvah is a subset of the Seventh Commandment: “You shall not commit adultery.” When we are totally faithful to our spouses (and our God), we don’t have to go out of our way to obey any of these “Laws.” They’re perfectly natural.
