But the reason for this notification is to remind you and to show you where we are in the Jubilee Cycle of Yehovah.

Counting The Omer

Each year we are reminded during the days of counting the Omer to Shavuot or Pentecost of the exact years we are in the count towards the next jubilee year. The counting to Pentecost is the same as counting to the next Jubilee year.

So today at sunset until tomorrow April 24th at sunset is the 17 day of counting the omer. It is also the day that corresponds with the current year which is the 17th year as we count towards the next Jubilee year.

This current year, the 17th year in this Jubilee cycle is the third year in the third Sabbatical cycle. This year is 5848 years after the creation of Adam based on the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.

In 2 Kings 19:29 we are told of the 49th year in 701 BC and the 50th year in 700 BC. When we put this information along with all the other known Sabbatical years recorded in history we are able to know that 1996 was both the last Jubilee year and the first year of this count. The same as the 5oth day of Pentecost is also the first day of the week.

This means that 2012 starting at Aviv was the beginning of the 17th year and that the next Jubilee year will be in 2045.
