During the past two months or so, a number of people have contacted me concerning the issue of two teachings, one entitled a “True Passover” and the other entitled a “Scriptural Passover”. The essence of these two “teachings” centers upon whether or not believers in Messiah Yeshua should take a lamb or goat, kill it and apply its blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places at Passover. People are being misled and deceived into thinking that because they call the killing of the animal, a “SLAUGHTER” and not a “SACRIFICE”, that it is not only OK to do, but that they are obeying the Scriptures.

Just three days ago, two more people contacted me, very upset and concerned about this matter. Thus I feel it is now urgent and critical to prepare something — as a SERIOUS WARNING to those who are planning on doing this so-called “SLAUGHTER.” What do the Scriptures actually teach? Is it a SACRIFICE or a SLAUGHTER? Could this be a form of FALSE WORSHIP and people don’t realize it? What do the Hebrew words which YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? spoke, actually say to us? What is the true meaning of KEEPING the Passover, which He intended from the beginning?

We have not addressed every question, issue or concern, nor have we included all of the information that could be presented.

Additionally, towards the very end, in Part 8, we will take a look at some incredible mysteries and amazing prophecies about the crucifixion of Messiah Yeshua foreshadowed in Exodus 12 and elsewhere. By studying the Hebrew words of the commands and instructions given to Israel, concerning Passover and various offerings and sacrifices, we will learn how the Scriptures will clearly prove that the “teachings” ( “True Passover” and “Scriptural Passover” ) are FALSE. At the same time, however, we will learn how hidden in the Hebrew words of the Torah are some amazing details which prove that Yeshua the Messiah, the Passover Lamb of ELohim ????????, is the ONLY “True Passover” and the ONLY “Scriptural Passover” which we have today.

Unfortunately, many people are new as messianic believers, and do not have enough understanding, insight and background to fully or properly comprehend matters like this. The consequences of those other so-called “teachings”, have already brought much CONFUSION, division and loss of friendships. This “fruit” alone is indicative that those “teachings” are NOT of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????.

“But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, CONFUSION and every EVIL thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:14-17)

My dear brothers and sisters in Messiah Yeshua – please take this as a grave warning — I must say this, because I genuinely care about you. MANY are being led astray, THINKING that they are following the Scriptures in OBEDIENCE, when in fact, they are walking right into a trap of the enemy and do not realize it.
”There is a way that SEEMS right to a man, But its end is the way of death { and / or: destruction, devastation, defeat, division, delusion, despair, etc. }” (Prov 14:12)

Let us also understand at the outset, that we are not saying or implying, that the individuals who wrote the “teachings” called a “True Passover” and a “Scriptural Passover” are false TEACHERS. However, we are clearly and unequivocably saying, and in the strongest way possible, on the authority of the Word of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????, that those respective TEACHINGS on this particular issue are FALSE. And because the Scriptures teach that there can be grave consequences for doing a FALSE ( Passover ) “SLAUGHTER”, we are compelled to warn people about it.

1.) Those who know me and know and read our teachings, know and understand that I always teach from the Hebrew words of Scripture, not from the English. Therefore you know that the English translations are very often: wrong, incorrect or false, or do not fully or completely, convey the true, deep and profound meanings which are taught and revealed only by the Hebrew words.

2.) Therefore, there are MANY things which we see, read and understand in the Scriptures when we read in the original Hebrew, which most people simply do not see, and cannot see, when they are reading English translations. Additionally, there are Scriptural principles, truths and mysteries which are hidden “in” the Hebrew words or “behind” the Hebrew words, or hidden between passages of Scripture from one place to another. The Scriptures are written in such a way that the entire picture of something is not always contained in one place, one set of verses or one passage.

Proper understanding requires taking the whole counsel of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, finding and piecing Scriptures and Scriptural truths and principles together, to get the full and correct picture. That is why taking a verse or two OUT of CONTEXT and creating a doctrine, ( which false teachings are typically based on ), is both wrong and dangerous. It is also why when we read two verses or passages that APPEAR to be contradictory, we need to accept that either our understanding is wrong or incorrect, the Greek or English translation is wrong or incorrect, or both. YHWH ?????? does not contradict Himself in His Word!

For those who do NOT yet know, I am a Hebrew ( Ivri ??????? ), a descendant of Levi ( ????? ) and of the House of Aaron ( Aharon ??????? ), the High Priest ( Cohen haGadol ???????? ????????? ), and thus a priest ( Cohen ????? ). I read the Bible in the original Hebrew ( Ivrit ????? ) words, which the Creator Redeemer YHVH ?????? ELohim ???????? spoke to Moses, His Hebrew Prophets and His Hebrew Apostles, and Messiah ( Mashiach ???????? ) Yeshua / Yahshua ???????? / Yahushua / Yehoshua ?????????? Himself spoke on earth.
There are many things, both in the Hebrew Bible ( TeNaKh / “OT” ) and the ReNewed Covenant writings ( “NT” ) which the ENGLISH will never show. In many places, the English is translated incorrectly, wrongly or falsely, especially in the “NT”, and this can and does change the entire meaning of verses and passages.

For example, why do the multitudes of pastors and teachers wrongly teach that the Torah was allegedly “nailed to the cross” or allegedly “done away with”, based on ONE VERSE, such as Colossians 2:14? The Greek word used there, which is translated into English as “decrees” is ( dogma ????? ), which can NEVER refer to, translate as or identify the Torah commandments and instructions of our Creator Redeemer YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????! Dogma ( ????? ) is and means in Greek, what we also understand it to mean even in English! Dogma is and includes man-made rules, regulations and decrees, in contrast to the words of instruction for living and walking righteously with ELohim ????????, which can never be “man-made” anything!
The Greek word which is generally used throughout the ReNewed Covenant writings to identify or translate the Hebrew word “Torah”, and translated into English (albeit incorrectly) as “law”, is ( nomos ????? ). That word is NOT used in Colossians 2:14. Yet pastors and teachers repeatedly, wrongly, incorrectly and falsely, teach, that the Torah is what was “nailed to the cross”!

How much more, then, do we have problems in understanding properly, correctly and completely, the Hebrew texts of the TeNaKh ( “Hebrew Bible” )?

Therefore, what most people read in English, often does NOT communicate, teach and reveal what the actual Hebrew words our Creator Redeemer said and or intended. ONE word, translated improperly or wrongly, can significantly or completely change the entire meaning of a verse, paragraph or passage.

3.) It appears that some “messianic” believers, in their sincere ZEAL to please our Creator, and in their genuine DESIRE to try to OBEY what they have been led to think or believe the Scriptures say, have been misled into falsely thinking that they are now required to kill an animal (lamb or goat) and apply its blood to the doorposts of their houses at Passover.

This is the main issue that these two FALSE TEACHINGS ( “True Passover” and “Scriptural Passover”) are about. As we asked earlier, we ask again: Is it a SACRIFICE or a SLAUGHTER? Does changing the English name or English description of what one is doing, change the nature, character or spiritual implication of the act that one is doing?? Could this be a form of FALSE WORSHIP or even DEMON WORSHIP and people don’t realize it? Do we know and understand all of the commands and instructions which YHWH ?????? spoke concerning sacrifices, offerings and the slaughtering of animals?

4.) Some may be inclined to reply and ask me if I have read those so-called “teachings”, asserting that since I have not yet done that, how then can I possibly state so confidently and boldly that those “teachings” are FALSE. I will simply answer as follows: One does not need to know about every single voice that is out there. And one does not need to know every single argument or so-called Scripture reference that may be included in those false “teachings”. One only needs to know the voice of the One, True Shepherd, Messiah Yeshua. And one only needs to know the Truth of what the Hebrew words actually teach and reveal, in order to see, discern or realize errors, heresy or falsehood.

For example, if we come to a teaching based on some “NT” passage, and the “teaching” is contrary to what the Torah already says, we can say immediately that such point(s) in that “teaching” are FALSE. It is just that simple. We don’t always have to read or hear the entire teaching to know, understand or realize that. For example, we don’t even have to know the Greek words used in Colossians 2:14, to know that the text CANNOT be stating that the Torah was allegedly “nailed to the cross.” The conclusion is already wrong and false. The Torah already teaches us that. Therefore, it doesn’t matter what else is in the teaching, it is wrong in at least that point, right from the start.

The Torah teaches that we need to have two or three witnesses to establish a fact. If we present two or three witnesses to disprove the claim that messianic believers are still supposed to kill an animal today, and apply its blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places, then we do not need to read the rest of the claims, arguments or so-called Scripture references those false “teachings” make. YHWH ?????? does not change and He does NOT contradict Himself in His own Word!

“For I YHWH ?????? do not change,” (Mal 3:6)
“Yeshua ???????? the Messiah ( Mashiach ???????? ) – the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Heb 13:8)

Therefore, any other voice, which speaks contrary to His words, is false. In the same manner, one does not need to read the details of the so-called “arguments” or “assertions” that someone proposes, when the conclusion is already known to be absolutely false.

We should always ask ourselves: What do the Scriptures actually say and teach?

And remember, it does NOT matter what we read in ENGLISH. It only matters what the ORIGINAL HEBREW words say and teach. The basic premise of these FALSE TEACHINGS is based on wrong, incorrect or false English translations and or wrong, incorrect or false understandings of the Hebrew texts. When we put two or three verses or passages of Scripture together, we generally get a better understanding and a more accurate and complete picture of the Truth.

5.) There are a variety of ways that YHWH ?????? uses to communicate, explain and teach us Truth in the Scriptures.

For example:

He may give some details in one passage and other details in another passage.
Some details now and some details later.
He may give the overall picture first and then give the details afterwards.
He may give a little information first and then additional information afterwards.
Sometimes we can read the same word twice in English in one verse or passage, but in Hebrew there are actually two
different words. This teaches and reveals much to us from the Hebrew that the English does not show.
And of course there are various other ways that He communicates things and teaches us.

Here’s just one simple example to help illustrate this point:
In Genesis 24:15, we read: “And it happened, before he { the servant of Abraham } had finished speaking…”

If we explain that the servant of Abraham was NOT speaking, but actually praying, can you “SEE” that yet?
Most would probably say, “No.”

If we explain that the servant of Abraham was NOT even praying OUT LOUD, but silently IN HIS HEART, can you now “SEE” this? Most would still probably say, “No.”

Now let’s read Genesis 24:45 ( which parallels Gen 24:15 ), where the servant of Abraham is re-telling to Rebekah’s father and brother, what happened when he came to the well:
“But before I had finished speaking IN MY HEART…” (Gen 24:45) Did you ever notice that before? — “IN MY HEART”. And we are not even talking about the Hebrew words here, just the English! The point we are making, is that, how much more do we see and understand things when we read in the original Hebrew, than when we read an English translation.

6.) CERTAIN specifics regarding the sacrifice of the Passover lamb in Egypt were a ONE-TIME ONLY event, for the children of Israel, for the Exodus out of Egypt. It was never commanded and never intended to be repeated ever again, in that manner, not for them afterwards, and certainly not for their children or any other generation afterwards. We are also certainly NOT in Egypt ( Mitzraim ????????? ) despite the wrong, incorrect and false interpretations, beliefs, assumptions or conclusions in the above-mentioned FALSE TEACHINGS. Such assertion is simply a twisting and distorting of the text, both actual and implied.

The Exodus from Egypt is a prophetic portrait of the redemption of the Called-Out people of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? ( natural-born Israel and those mixed multitudes of the nations who are joined to her and genuinely Grafted-In through the same faith and the same obedience to His Torah INSTRUCTIONS ) from PHYSICAL slavery and the place of PHYSICAL bondage — through their FAITH in the shed-blood of the Passover lamb and their OBEDIENCE to the commandment(s) of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????.
In the same way, the “True Passover” and the “Scriptural Passover” is fulfilled in the redemption of the Called-Out people of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? ( natural-born Israel and those mixed multitudes of the nations who are joined to her and genuinely Grafted-In through the same faith and the same obedience to His Torah INSTRUCTIONS ) from SPIRITUAL slavery and the place of SPIRITUAL bondage — through their FAITH in the shed-blood of the Passover Lamb of ELohim ???????? and their OBEDIENCE to the commandment(s) of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????. [ “Behold! The Lamb of ELohim ???????? who takes away the sin of the world! ( John 1:29, 1:36) ]

Yes, there would always be the Passover of YHWH ??????. Yes, certain things were to be done in every generation, and forever. But WHAT specific things? As we shall learn, there is MORE to the English texts that we have seen in the past. We will see indeed that Messiah Yeshua is this very Passover of YHWH ??????, forever, and for every generation.

7.) The sacrifice of the Passover lamb in Egypt was specific to that time period alone, in that location, for its specific purpose, for that specific group of Israelites and mixed multitude. It was to be done by the first born male of every household. At THAT time, the first born male functioned as the priest for each family for making the animal sacrifice, which may have included more than just his own family or extended family. There was NO priesthood at that time yet.

The slaying of the Passover lamb in Egypt also had a prophetic portrait to it, just as ALL of the Torah and the Prophets do: a.) teaching and revealing to us, the nature and character of our Creator YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????
b.) teaching and revealing to us Scriptural principles and truths about the Kingdom of ELohim ????????
c.) leading us to our Redeemer — Yeshua the Messiah, the ONLY “True Passover” and the ONLY “Scriptural Passover”

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” (Matt 5:17)

” For all the Torah and the Prophets prophesied until Yochanan (John).” (Matt 11:13 and Luke 16:16)
”Then He { Messiah Yeshua } said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Torah of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms { the Writings, all three parts together called the TeNaKh } concerning Me.” (Luke 24:44)

Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Torah, and also the Prophets, wrote—Yeshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” (John 1:45)

8.) It was NOT until AFTER the Sin of the Golden Calf (Exodus chapter 32) that YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? instituted the Levitical Priesthood, with the House of Aaron as the priests and the rest of the Levites as their helper servants.
It is at that time that we begin to learn additional commandments and instructions concerning the offerings, sacrifices, the slaughter of animals and the shedding of blood. From this point onward, NO sacrifices could be made by anyone other than the Levites, the Priests. This is very important to learn and understand.

Commands and Instructions for the EXODUS from EGYPT

“Now the blood shall be a SIGN ( oht ??? ) for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.” (Exod 12:13) ( There is a profound mystery hidden here in the Hebrew of this verse! And it relates to Yeshua the Messiah, our “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover”. More on this at the very end of this Teaching. )

1.) We are not in the land of Egypt

2.) We are not going out of Egypt

3.) On THIS Passover, this year for example, YHWH ?????? is NOT going through the land of Egypt, through any land where we are all living, scattered throughout the world, and NOT going to smite the first born in this land or every other land, of both man and beast, and is NOT going to execute judgment on all the gods of the lands where we all live, in the manner in which He did AT THAT TIME [ “ For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will smite all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments:” (Exod 12:12) ] ( we cannot try take the judgments on the world as found in the Book of Revelation and superimpose them onto Passover now. )

4.) APPLYING the shed-blood of an animal is NO LONGER a SIGN and NO LONGER an ATONEMENT, whether for Passover, the Day of Atonement(s) or for any other of the FIVE offerings in Leviticus chapters 1 through 8. [ “Now the blood shall be a SIGN for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.” (Exod 12:13) ]

5.) In past years, did anyone NOT do this so-called “SLAUGHTER”? I gather that few did. And so, without such blood on their doorposts, did the Destroyer enter their homes and kill their first born? I doubt that! Then WHY does anyone think that NOW, all of a sudden, they allegedly need to do this? [ “For YHWH ?????? will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He SEES the BLOOD on the lintel and on the two doorposts, YHWH ?????? will pass over the door and NOT ALLOW the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.” (Exod 12:23) ]

6.) If someone APPLIES blood and ASKS or EXPECTS YHWH ?????? to LOOK at it and DO something, anything, then they have indeed done a SACRIFICE, no matter what they call it, such as a so-called “SLAUGHTER”.

7.) There are NO more animal sacrifices for SIGNS, for ATONEMENT COVERING, for OFFERINGS, since the Temple was destroyed and the Levitical Priesthood ended. Therefore YHWH ?????? will not even LOOK at any such blood that anyone APPLIES to the doorposts of their dwelling places.

8.) As we will learn below, YHWH ?????? gave additional and final commands and instructions concerning the shedding of (animal) blood, for the time period AFTER the Exodus, during the journeys in the wilderness, for the time period after entering the land, but before the Temple was built and for the time period of the Temple. We will learn why this so-called “SLAUGHTER” is actually a grave sin against those additional and final commands and instructions.

“And it shall be THIS DAY ( ha-yom ha-zeh ??????? ?????? ) to you a “MEMORIAL” ( zi-chah-rohn ????????? ); and you shall keep it as a feast to YHWH ?????? throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting STATUTE ( chu-kat ?????? ).” (Exod 12:14) We could also say “COMMEMORATION” instead of “MEMORIAL”.

??????? ??????? ?????? ????? ???????????, ?????????? ????? ??? ???????: ????????????, ?????? ?????? ???????????.

What is YHWH ?????? saying to us concerning the Passover, the Exodus and the Redemption from Egypt, in this verse? First, He is saying that in the future, AFTER the Exodus, there shall be a MEMORIAL ( or COMMEMORATION ). This MEMORIAL is to be throughout our generations. It is to be everlasting. A memorial or commemoration is not a re-enactment. It is something that looks BACK to a miraculous event which of YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? did for us. And sometimes, it also looks FORWARD, as a symbol and prophetic portrait of a greater fulfillment of what He intends to do for us!
The next thing to consider is just what is it that is to be a MEMORIAL? The text itself tells us. THIS DAY ( ha-yom ha-zeh ??????? ?????? ) is to be the MEMORIAL. YHWH ?????? does NOT say that the Passover Sacrifice is to be the MEMORIAL!
We should also notice that the keeping of this MEMORIAL is being commanded to us as a STATUTE. This is important, as we look at the next verse in our discussion.

Now let’s look at a group of verses together, in context:

21 “Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb.

22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.

23 For YHWH ?????? will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, YHWH ?????? will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

24 And “YOU SHALL OBSERVE” ( shi-mar-tem ??????????? ) THIS THING ( ha-davar ha-zeh ???????? ?????? ) as an ordinance [ STATUTE ( chu-kat ?????? ) ] for you and your sons forever.” ( Exod 12:21-24)

[ Here, “OBSERVE” is not a good or proper translation for the Hebrew word: shi-mar-tem ???????????. A more correct translation would be: “guard, preserve or keep”, thus – ie: YOU SHALL KEEP. Let’s also notice that the preceding three verses are talking about the taking the Passover lamb and making the sacrifice and APPLYING the blood to the doorposts. But the Hebrew word now used in this verse does not use the specific word which can be translated as “SACRIFICE” or “SLAUGHTER” ( Zavach ??? ). This is important. If ( Zavach ??? ) were used, it would connect verse 24 to verses 21 through 23.

Instead, the Hebrew uses the phrase which is translated as “THIS THING” ( ha-davar ha-zeh ???????? ?????? ). The way this is written, therefore, connects verse 24 to verses 25 through 27 instead. More, the phrase “THIS THING” is to teach us that YHWH ?????? means something DIFFERENT or something MORE, than just the specific Passover lamb sacrifice that they were to do — that ONE-TIME ONLY event for the Exodus from Egypt! (per verses 21 through 23)

And since verse 24 relates to the verses AFTER it (verses 25 through 27) and NOT the verses BEFORE it (verses 21 through 23), by its very sentence structure, what YHWH ?????? is going to teach us, is that there would be something in the future, after the Exodus from Egypt! In fact, that Passover Day in Egypt ( THIS DAY ) was to teach and prepare the people of Israel for another DAY, yet in the future, when the people were supposed to see and recognize the SIGN ( oht ??? ) – of the “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover” lamb that YHWH ?????? Himself would provide! Do we recall that Abraham told us this very thing: “And Abraham said, “My son { Isaac }, ELohim ???????? will provide for Himself the LAMB for the burnt offering.” (Gen 22:8)

As we now read verses 25 through 27 more carefully, we will see that YHWH ?????? is actually talking about something different than just each individual family killing a Passover lamb and APPLYING its blood to their dwelling places in Egypt.
What therefore could He mean?

As believers, we should already know and understand this.

So let’s read verses 25 through 27 and then study them a bit more closely.

25 “It will come to pass WHEN YOU COME TO THE LAND which YHWH ?????? will give you, just as He promised, that “YOU SHALL KEEP” ( shi-mar-tem ??????????? ) “THIS SERVICE” ( ha-avoh-dah ha-zoht ????????? ??????? ).

26 And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’

27 that you shall say, ‘It is the Passover SACRIFICE ( Zevach ????? ) of YHWH ??????, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.’” So the people bowed their heads and worshiped.” (Exod 12:25-27)

Verse 25 immediately tells us that these three verses relate to the time period AFTER the Exodus, WHEN they COME to the Promised LAND and thereafter. Therefore, whatever follows here is what they are to do. And it will be different in some way than what they did that ONE-TIME ONLY for the Exodus from Egypt!

Verse 25 also tells us YOU SHALL KEEP ( shi-mar-tem ??????????? ). This is the same Hebrew word, in the same 2nd person imperative (command form) and same future tense, as this word is used in verse 24.
What are they to KEEP? Is it for each individual family to kill a Passover lamb and APPLY its blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places? Of course not!

What is actually taking place in the Hebrew words is that “THIS THING” ( ha-davar ha-zeh ???????? ?????? ) and “THIS SERVICE” ( ha-avoh-dah ha-zoht ????????? ??????? ) will become a COMMUNITY thing, and a COMMUNITY service, a sacrifice done together as one man ( echad ????? ), by ALL the people of Israel, rather than by the first born male of each home. Do we see and understand this? And why is this so?

Because as a nation, on THAT DAY, that future day, which was foreshadowed by “THIS DAY”, the entire nation, will take a lamb and they will kill THAT LAMB, the very lamb which Abraham said that YHWH ?????? would provide. “And all the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children.” (Matt 27:25) They will kill the “True Passover” Lamb of ELohim ???????? , the Messiah, fulfilling these very words of the Torah! Do we see it now?

So we suggest to you that “THIS THING” and “THIS SERVICE” are the same. And what do you think that YHWH ?????? wants to teach us here by this choice of words?

THIS DAY (that day that YHWH ?????? passed over the house of the Israelites in Egypt, when He struck the Egyptians and delivered the homes of the Israelites, shall be KEPT as a MEMORIAL (forever):

– looking BACKWARD, to what YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? did for His Called-Out people Israel then, to REDEEM them PHYSICALLY, from the house of bondage (slavery).

– and, looking FORWARD, to what YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? would do for His Called-Out people Israel, in the future, to REDEEM them SPIRITUALLY, from the house of bondage (sin / spiritual slavery) through His Passover Lamb, the Messiah. There would be ONE DAY, in the future, that will fulfill the THIS DAY which He is talking about here. That DAY was the day Messiah Yeshua, the Lamb of ELohim ???????? became our Passover lamb, forever.

For approximately 1,500 years, from the time of the slaying of the Passover lamb in Egypt, until the time of the crucifixion of the Passover Lamb of ELohim ????????, Israel was to “REHEARSE” and RE-TELL the story to their children in every generation. This REHEARSAL and this RE-TELLING of the REDEMPTION from physical bondage, as a prophetic portrait of the future REDEMPTION from SPIRITUAL bondage, is and includes “THIS THING” and “THIS SERVICE” which YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? is teaching us here.

We shall learn that Moses later on gave the people both additional and final commands and instructions, ( in Leviticus 17 and Deuteronomy 16 ), concerning all sacrifices ( including the Passover “sacrifice” or “slaughter“ ) and the shedding of the blood of animals. Thus, the “THIS THING” and the “THIS SERVICE”, as it is written here in Exodus 12, pertains to the future time period, AFTER the Exodus, when the Passover “sacrifice” or “slaughter “ would NO LONGER be done by each individual family, but by the community, AS A WHOLE, at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting ( wherein the Tabernacle was), and finally, at the doorway of the Temple, where YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? would choose to make His NAME DWELL ( TABERNACLE ).

Command to RE-TELL the STORY of the EXODUS

“And you shall TELL YOUR SON in that day, saying, ‘This is done because of what YHWH ?????? did for me when I came up from Egypt.’( Exod 13:8)

“So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that YOU SHALL SAY TO HIM, ‘By strength of hand YHWH ?????? brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” (Exod 13:14)

“When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? has commanded you?’ then YOU SHALL SAY TO YOUR SON: ‘We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, and YHWH ?????? brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;” (Deut 6:20-21)

What is the meaning and intent of these verses? It is to instruct us to RE-TELL the story of the Exodus to our children, so that in every generation, each child will learn and understand as if he/she personally was taken out of Egypt (spiritual Egypt), out of the house of bondage (spiritual bondage), by the mighty hand of YHWH ?????? our ELohim ????????, so that the Passover itself will lead us to Messiah, who is our True Passover Lamb. The Passover “Seder” ( a Hebrew word which means: “order” or “sequence” ) therefore is this RE-TELLING of the story in accordance with the clear COMMAND and INSTRUCTION of YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? to TEACH and TELL our children.
Do you want to OBEY and KEEP a “True Passover” and a “Scriptural Passover”? Then RE-TELL the story of the Exodus to your family and lead them to Messiah Yeshua, the “True Passover” and the “Scriptural Passover” Lamb of YHWH ?????? our ELohim ????????.

Some may ask: But WHERE is there a command or instruction in the Torah about KEEPING a Passover Seder? It’s right here. We are instructed three times to RE-TELL the story of the Exodus and the Redemption. This then is what the Passover Seder is really about: To RE-TELL the story to our children, in every generation.

But there is more to this, much more. And by the time we get to the end of this study, we shall know and better understand what YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? meant from the beginning, when He instructed Israel to KEEP the Passover, forever.

Commands and Instructions at MOUNT SINAI for being IN COVENANT

After the Exodus from Egypt, and after the Tent of Meeting and Tabernacle was constructed and set up (Exodus chapters 25 through 40), NO sacrifices could be made OUTSIDE of the Tabernacle, not even by the priests. Here we are given more commandments and instructions concerning offerings, making sacrifices, the slaughter of animals and the shedding of blood. So we have gone from the first born male of each home making the Passover sacrifice, to restricting all offerings, sacrifices, slaughters and shedding of blood to the Tribe of Levi, to the House of Aaron, and now, to the PLACE of the doorway of the Tent of Meeting.

Do we see and understand a pattern of what YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? is teaching and showing us here? Do we realize that there is also an important and prophetic portrait in all of this, the purpose of which is to identify, reveal and lead us to the Messiah, who is the ONLY “True Passover” and the ONLY “Scriptural Passover”?

Moreover, no blood of an animal could be shed, except in the PLACE AND in the MANNER that YHWH ?????? prescribed:

1 And YHWH ?????? spoke to Moses, saying,

2 “Speak to Aaron, to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘This is the thing which YHWH ?????? has commanded, saying:

3 “Whatever man of the HOUSE of ISRAEL who kills an ox or lamb or goat IN the CAMP, or who kills it OUTSIDE the CAMP,

4 and does NOT bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer an OFFERING ( Karban ???????? ) to YHWH ?????? before the Tabernacle of YHWH ??????, the guilt of bloodshed shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people,” (Lev 17:1-4)

Here we learn that the shedding of blood, even the blood of animals, is now regulated and restricted by additional commands and instructions. We learn also that failure to follow and obey THESE commandments is a grave offense.
Whoever kills a lamb or goat, for instance, whether INSIDE the camp or OUTSIDE the camp, and does NOT bring it to the Levites, the priests, at the door of the Tent of Meeting, is guilty of shedding its blood. It is that simple and that clear. This restriction and prohibition is given soon AFTER the Passover sacrifice of the Exodus from Egypt, and immediately after the Tent of Meeting and Tabernacle were constructed and set up in the wilderness.

How then could anyone, at that time, kill an animal and then apply its shed-blood to the doorposts of their dwelling place? They couldn’t. They have to bring the animal to the door of the Tent of Meeting. How much more clear can this be?

If this is the only other thing that YHWH ?????? said, wouldn’t this be enough to show us that we are committing a grave sin if we follow this false “teaching” and do a so-called “slaughter”? We are allowed to eat the meat. But we cannot apply the blood to the doorposts of our dwelling places anymore. APPLYING the BLOOD makes it a SACRIFICE ( Zavach ??? ), no matter what some try to name, call or identify it, by using the English word “SLAUGHTER” ( also Zavach ??? ).

By the way, what houses did the Israelites live in during their 40 years in the wilderness? None. They lived in tents. So isn’t it obvious that they couldn’t apply any shed-blood to the two doorposts and the top lintel anyway? Sounds simple, doesn’t it? But let’s also remember that YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? is also very practical. Does He ask or command us to do things which we cannot do?

Finally, we are certainly now OUTSIDE the CAMP of the Tent of Meeting ( and OUTSIDE the CAMP of the Temple ), which is exactly and only what these verses could mean. And we certainly are also not in Egypt either. We cannot spiritualize this, trying to twist or distort the meaning of the Hebrew words.

Let’s also notice that in verse 3 above, it speaks about any man of the House of Israel. Why not to strangers? Because they are NOT IN COVENANT with YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? and therefore cannot bring OFFERINGS to Him. Does this teach us anything else? Yes. It means that if we do kill an animal, and the purpose is NOT to simply eat its meat, than no matter what we say and no matter how we identify, name or call it, it IS still either an OFFERING or a SACRIFICE.

5 “to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices ( ziv-chay-hem ?????????? from: Zavach ??? ) which they offer ( ziv-chim ???????? from: Zavach ??? ) in the open field { as the pagans did to their demon gods }, that they may bring them { INSTEAD } to YHWH ?????? at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and offer them as PEACE OFFERINGS ( shi-lah-mim ????????? ) to YHWH ??????.

6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of YHWH ?????? at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet aroma to YHWH ??????.

7 They shall no longer sacrifice ( yiz-bi-choo ?????????? from: Zavach ??? ) their sacrifices ( ziv-chay-hem ?????????? from: Zavach ??? ) to the goat DEMONS with which they PLAY the HARLOT ( zoh-neem ah-chah-ray-hem ?????? ?????????? ). This shall be FOREVER ( o-lam ?????? ) a statute ( chu-kat ?????? ) to them THROUGHOUT their GENERATIONS ( li-doh-roh-tahm ????????? ).” (Lev 17:5-7)

Here we learn that killing or slaughtering an animal and shedding its blood, and offering it in the OPEN FIELD ( or BEHIND your TENT, IN THE WOODS, or IN YOUR BACKYARD ), is also strictly prohibited. Specifically, doing this very thing is a FALSE SACRIFICE to a (goat) DEMON.

It is also the sin of PLAYING the HARLOT. This is one of the things and one of the ways, in which the pagans offered false sacrifices to their false demon gods!! They would kill animals, anytime, anywhere and in any manner, shedding their blood. We are commanded NOT to do such things!
Therefore, for this specific reason, we state on the authority of the Word of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????, that doing this so-called: “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover “SLAUGHTER” — is from a DOCTRINE of DEMONS ( see 1 Tim 4:1). These verses are a statute ( chu-kat ?????? ) FOREVER – for ALL generations ( li-doh-roh-tahm ????????? ) expressly prohibiting the very thing that those FALSE TEACHINGS are now leading people astray to do!!
What do you think YHWH ?????? means when He commands us “FOREVER” — NOT to do something?

“And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. You shall NOT worship YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? WITH SUCH THINGS.” (Deut 12:3-4)

“When YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, take heed to yourself that you are NOT ENSNARED to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you DO NOT inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ You shall NOT worship YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? IN THAT WAY; for every abomination to YHWH ?????? which He HATES they have done to their gods;” (Deut 12:29-31)

“When you come into the land which YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? is giving you, you shall NOT learn to follow the ABOMINATIONS of those nations.” (Deut 18:9)

8 “Then you shall say to them, ‘Any man FROM the HOUSE of ISRAEL ( mi-bayt Yisrael ??????? ?????????? ) or from the STRANGER ( Ger ???? ) who sojourns among them, who offers a BURNT OFFERING ( o-lah ????? ) or SACRIFICE { or “SLAUGHTER” } ( Zavach ??? ) (Lev 17:8)

Let’s notice the details. In verse 3 above, the Scriptures say: “a man of the HOUSE of ISRAEL”. Here the Scriptures say: “From the House of Israel or from the Stranger living among us. So this next set of commands and instructions pertains to both the NATIVE BORN Israelite ( Ezrach ??????? ) and the STRANGER ( Ger ???? ) living among us.

Anyone who tries to worship YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? in a manner which He has clearly instructed NOT to do, makes a FALSE SACRIFICE, making themselves out to be a FALSE PRIEST, doing an act of FALSE WORSHIP, in the WRONG PLACE and in the WRONG MANNER. This also applies to following, using and doing pagan demon worship customs, rituals, symbols and traditions, such as those from pagan Babylon, including ishtar / easter and crist-mass.

9 and does NOT bring it to the doorway of the Tent of Meeting to offer it to YHWH ??????, that man also shall be cut off from his people. (Lev 17:9)
Here we learn that killing or slaughtering an animal and shedding its blood, and offering it as a BURNT OFFERING or any other kind of SACRIFICE ( Zavach ??? ) or SLAUGHTER ( Zavach ??? same word ), except at the door of the Tent of Meeting, is strictly prohibited.

10 ‘And any man FROM the HOUSE of ISRAEL ( mi-bayt Yisrael ??????? ?????????? ), or FROM the STRANGER ( min ha-Ger ???-?????? ) who sojourns among them, who EATS any BLOOD, I will set My face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.

11 ‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’

12 “Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘No person among you may eat blood, nor may any alien who sojourns among you eat blood.’

It seems that the meaning and intent of these verses is rather clear. Much, much more could be said about these verses, and probably some, or many, are already starting to think and ask themselves questions about buying meat in the grocery store which has not been drained completely of its blood.

13 “So when any man FROM the HOUSE of ISRAEL ( mi-bayt Yisrael ??????? ?????????? ), or FROM the STRANGER ( min ha-Ger ???-?????? ) who sojourns among them, in hunting catches a beast ( chai-yah ?????? ) or a bird ( ohf ???? ) which may be eaten, he shall POUR out its BLOOD and COVER it with DUST ( ah-par ????? ).” (Lev 17:10-13)

What did Messiah Yeshua actually mean when He said: “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. Here in verse 13, we are given another set of very specific commands and instructions concerning the BLOOD of any beast — ANY LIVING ANIMAL, or bird, which we might hunt or catch, wherever, in the open field, in the woods ( or in our backyard. )

We have examined and explained several more Scriptures. Here is yet another very clear and very precise commandment and instruction, which also serves as a second testimony and a second witness. Shouldn’t this now be enough to show us that the “teaching” of the so-called “SLAUGHTER” is false?

Notice also that verses 10 through 13 concern animals or birds which may be eaten, that is: CLEAN, according to the commands and instructions already given in Leviticus chapter 11. All Scriptures are in agreement with each other (from Genesis to Revelation) and never contradict prior verses or future verses.

So we have a command and an instruction concerning draining the blood of the animal. The blood must be POURED out onto the ground and COVERED with DUST. How then can anyone “SLAUGHTER” a lamb or a goat, and APPLY its shed-blood to the doorposts of their dwelling place, if they MUST POUR OUT its BLOOD on the ground and COVER it?

Is there anything else that the Hebrew words teach us here concerning this? Yes. There are some incredible mysteries and prophecies which we shall take a look at later in this study.

The verses which we have studied so far in this Part 3 are in Leviticus chapter 17. They cover additional commands and instructions for:

– any OFFERING ( Karban ???????? ) [ Lev 17:3-4 ].
– any SACRIFICE ( Zavach ??? ) or SLAUGHTER ( Zavach ??? same word ) [ Lev 17:5-7 ].
– for the PEACE OFFERINGS ( shi-lah-mim ????????? ) [ Lev 17:5 ].
– and for a BURNT OFFERING ( oh-lah ????? ) [ Lev 17:8-9 ].

But before we move on, there is something else that is very interesting and important which we need to point out. To someone reading in English, this is probably not noticeable. But again, when we read things in Hebrew, the following becomes readily apparent and obvious, sort of jumping off the pages of Scripture. And what is this?
Let’s go back to the beginning of the Book of Leviticus and see the comparison.

In Leviticus chapter 1, YHWH ?????? talks about: any OFFERING ( Karban ???????? ) [compare Lev 17:3-4 ].
In Leviticus chapter 1, YHWH ?????? also talks about: a BURNT OFFERING ( oh-lah ????? ) [compare Lev 17:8-9 ].

In Leviticus chapter 2, YHWH ?????? talks about: a GRAIN OFFERING ( min-chah ??????? ), which is NOT discussed in Leviticus chapter 17, because it does NOT involve BLOOD.

In Leviticus chapter 3, YHWH ?????? talks about: the PEACE OFFERINGS ( shi-lah-mim ????????? ) [ compare Lev 17:5 ].

In Leviticus chapter 4 and 6, YHWH ?????? talks about: the GUILT OFFERING ( chah-that ??????? ), which is NOT discussed in Leviticus chapter 17, because this is for UnIntentional sins. But someone making an OFFERING of ANY KIND, at the wrong TIME, in the wrong PLACE, in the wrong MANNER, as a wrong PRIEST, with a wrong unclean sacrifice or offering, etc, does NOT sin UnIntentionally, but rather, INTENTIONALLY, even if he/she does NOT understand what they are doing. In other words, the GUILT OFFERING was for sins which the people might commit unintentionally or sins which were committed and the people were not even aware that they had been committed.
BUT someone making an OFFERING of ANY KIND, which is wrong, for the various reasons listed just above, is aware of their making that OFFERING. Therefore, they bear their GUILT even if they do NOT understand what they are doing wrong!

In Leviticus chapter 5 and 7, YHWH ?????? talks about: the TRESPASS OFFERING ( ah-sham ?????? ), which is also NOT discussed in Leviticus chapter 17, because this is for other kinds of sins which the people could commit. Those include just profaning and defiling the Tent of Meeting and the Tabernacle, by virtue of everyday life situations! ( This would include sins because of our unclean spiritual condition, due to being imperfect in words, deeds, thoughts, motives and intents of the heart. )

So of the FIVE (5) OFFERINGS and SACRIFICES discussed in Leviticus chapters 1 through 7:
any OFFERING ( Karban ???????? ), a BURNT OFFERING ( oh-lah ????? ), the PEACE OFFERINGS ( shi-lah-mim ????????? ), the ones which involve BLOOD and for which the people are aware of what they are doing and it is NOT an UnIntentional matter, these are again discussed in Leviticus chapter 17.

One final thought we will include here as well. First YHWH ?????? talks about the OFFERINGS and SACRIFICES in Leviticus chapters 1 through 7. ONLY AFTERWARDS, is the Levitical Priesthood of the House of Aaron Consecrated and Set Apart for their ministry on behalf of the people in Leviticus chapters 8 and 9.

Therefore, if someone is NOT a Levite and NOT of the House of Aaron, they CANNOT bring or make ANY of the OFFERINGS ( Karban ???????? ) which involved BLOOD. Period. Moreover, TODAY, since there is NO Temple, and NO consecrated ALTAR and NO Set Apart Tabernacle (whether the Tent of Meeting or the Temple, more on this later in this teaching… ), not even a Levite, of the House of Aaron, can bring or make such OFFERINGS, SACRIFICES or a “SLAUGHTER”.

Therefore, anyone who makes such a “SACRIFICE” ( Zavach ??? ), even though they wrongly, incorrectly and falsely call it a “SLAUGHTER” ( Zavach ??? same word for “SACRIFICE” ), is guilty of:
– making themselves out to be a false priest
– making themselves out to be an unclean priest
– making an unclean sacrifice
– making a false sacrifice
– doing it in an unclean place
– doing it on an unclean altar
– doing it in an unclean manner

– not bringing it to the doorway of the Tabernacle
– doing an abomination before YHWH ??????
– sacrificing to a goat demon
– insulting the Spirit of Grace

THEY SHALL BEAR THEIR GUILT!!!

My brothers and sisters, please do NOT make this FALSE SACRIFICE called a “SLAUGHTER”. I am in tears writing this, knowing that some ( or many ) of my friends are planning to do this terrible, grave thing. Sin, disobedience and rebellion always have consequences and usually will bring a CURSE on oneself and one’s entire family. The first curse is usually SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS, if one is not already spiritually blind by the deception of those FALSE TEACHINGS.

If you have ordered a lamb or goat from somewhere, please try to cancel the order. If you cannot, please pray about simply donating it somewhere. If you cannot do that, then you may eat of its meat, but do NOT APPLY its shed-blood ANYWHERE. And be sure to carefully and diligently follow and obey all the other commandments and instructions discussed in the Torah above. “…he shall POUR out its BLOOD and COVER it with DUST.”

In any case, please RENOUNCE these FALSE TEACHINGS of a so-called “SLAUGHTER” and TURN AWAY from this now. Please REPENT and ask YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? for forgiveness and mercy, for having been misled and led astray. No one is condemning, but we must NOT make this FALSE OFFERING / FALSE SACRIFICE!!

“Hear, O Israel: YHWH ?????? our ELohim ????????, YHWH ?????? is one!” (Deut 6:4)

THEREFORE, LISTEN ( Shema ?????? ) with the INTENT of your hearts, to OBEY, what YHWH ?????? our ELohim ????????, speaking to us, even NOW!!

Immediately after Consecrating and Setting Apart Aaron and his FOUR (4) sons for their ministry of service to the people of Israel, as the priests, ( Leviticus chapters 8 and 9 ) what happened? Please read Leviticus chapter 10 and see.

1 “Then Nadav and Avihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before YHWH ??????, which He had NOT commanded them.

2 So fire went out from YHWH ?????? and devoured them, and they DIED before YHWH ??????.” (Lev 10:1-2)

At this point, we don’t think we need to say anything more about this. We are going to let YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? by His Set Apart (“Holy”) Spirit ( Ruach ????? ) speak directly to people’s hearts. If they do NOT still see this and do NOT yet understand this, if they do NOT SHEMA YHWH ?????? and they make this FALSE SACRIFICE of the so-called “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover” –– they shall bear their guilt!!!
20 ”Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.

21 Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.” (Ezek 3:20-21) { This is not a prophecy, but a grave warning. }

By the way, have you noticed that Leviticus chapter 17 is part of the Torah reading (parasha) for THIS Shabbat, which is just before Passover? The Parasha (portion) is Lev 16:1 – 18:30 and it called:“After the death” ( Acharay Moht ???? ??? ). Co-incidence? We don’t think so!

Commands and Instructions for JOURNEYNG in the WILDERNESS (and continuing thereafter)

1 “Now YHWH ?????? spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the SECOND YEAR after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying:”

2 “Let the children of Israel keep the PASSOVER at its appointed time.

3 On the fourteenth day of this month { Aviv / Nisan }, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time. According to all its statutes ( chu-koh-tav ????????? ) and judgments ( mish-pah-tav ???????????? ) you shall keep it.”

4 “So Moses told the children of Israel that they should keep the PASSOVER.

5 And they kept the PASSOVER on the fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, in the Wilderness of Sinai; according to all that YHWH ?????? commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.” (Num 9:1-5)

This is now the Book of Numbers. “All that YHWH ?????? commanded Moses” includes the commands and instructions in Exodus chapters 12 and 13 and the additional commands and instructions given in Leviticus chapter 17. We have learned that the set of commands and instructions given in Leviticus chapter 17 placed restrictions and prohibitions on WHEN, WHERE and HOW to do the Passover SACRIFICE / “SLAUGHTER” ( Zavach ??? ) and also to any sacrifice, offering or killing of an animal.

Therefore, it is understood from the Hebrew that what we read and learned earlier from Lev 17:1-13 now applies here in Numbers chapter 9. In fact, let’s notice that this is the very FIRST PASSOVER – in the Wilderness – AFTER the Exodus from Egypt. We read above: “in the FIRST month { Aviv / Nisan } of the SECOND YEAR after they had come out of the land of Egypt.”

Let’s observe that they were not given any additional commands or instructions here. The Hebrew simply tells us that they KEPT the Passover according to ALL that YHWH ?????? had { up to that point } commanded Moses.

16 “ On the fourteenth day of the first month { Aviv / Nisan } is the PASSOVER of YHWH ??????.
17 And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast; unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days. (Num 28:16-17)

Here again, there are NO additional commands or instructions given. It is simply understood from the Hebrew that ALL of the SACRIFICES / “SLAUGHTERS” ( Zavach ??? ) and ALL other OFFERINGS must be done in accordance with the additional commands and instructions previously given in Leviticus chapter 17, such as at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting, where the Tabernacle was.

So WHY then do we have these two passages in Numbers when there are no additional commands or instructions given?

It has to do with the TIMELINE.

First we had the Exodus from Egypt. So there were commands and instructions in Exodus chapters 12 and 13 given for that ONE-TIME ONLY event.
AFTER the Exodus, they were in the Wilderness, camped at Mount Sinai. There they received the commands and instructions to build the Tent of Meeting and the Tabernacle (Exodus chapters 25 through 40).

There they also received the commands and instructions regarding the FIVE (5) types of SACRIFICES or OFFERINGS, per Leviticus chapters 1 through 7 and the ADDITIONAL commands and instructions regarding ALL SACRIFICES / “SLAUGHTERS” ( Zavach ??? ) and the killing of animals, in chapter 17. All of these things took place in the FIRST year, AFTER they came out of Egypt and were camped at Mount Sinai.

Now the SECOND year starts. And of course there is a wonderful mystery here. But we will discuss that in another teaching later on. So the Book of Numbers is all about the journeys of the Israelites through the wilderness, for the remaining 39 years. This establishes our TIMELINE.

There is NO reason at this point to give any ADDITIONAL commands and instructions, because they now have been given everything they need to know and do, to OBEY and WALK with YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? for what will be the next 39 years, until the time when they will ENTER the Promised Land. Do we understand this?

ONLY then, when the NEXT generation is raised up and THEY cross the Jordan River, to start the conquest of the Land which YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? promised to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, do they need to receive further commands and instructions. Do we see and understand the way in which YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? is teaching us? He gives us what we need to learn and understand for today. Let’s us OBEY for today.

Commands and Instructions upon ENTERING the PROMISED LAND

Let’s now take a look at some FINAL commands and instructions which YHWH ?????? gave to Israel at the end of their 40 years of journeying in the wilderness. These commandments are in addition to all of the commandments which they have already been given and they pertain to the sacrifices ( including the Passover lamb ) which they shall do AFTER they ENTER the Promised Land.

1 “Observe the month of Abib, and keep the PASSOVER to YHWH ?????? your ELohim ????????, for in the month of Abib { Nisan } YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? brought you out of Egypt by night.

2 And you shall SACRIFICE ( za-vach-tah ????????? from: Zavach ??? ) the PASSOVER { lamb } to YHWH ?????? your ELohim ????????, of the flock and the herd, in the PLACE where YHWH ?????? chooses His NAME to DWELL ( or TABERNACLE ) there.” (Deut 16:1-2)

This is what the Hebrew actually says; English translations may read differently.

This command and instruction clearly takes place AFTER the Exodus from Egypt. It is at the END of their sojournings in the wilderness for that 40 years. In other words, these are the FINAL INSTRUCTIONS of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? to the children of Israel as they are preparing to ENTER the Promised Land. Since He does NOT contradict Himself, then we must understand that all prior commands, instructions and prohibitions must now be understood and obeyed in accordance with these FINAL commands and instructions. That is how Hebrew works. That is how the Torah works.

Therefore, this is the FINAL set of commands and instructions, which give more information and details about the Passover SACRIFICE ( “SLAUGHTER” ) from the time they ENTER the Promised Land and afterwards. Therefore, whatever we learned from Exodus 12 and 13, Leviticus 17, Numbers 9 and 28, we must now also include these FINAL commands and instructions.
Do we understand how the commands and instructions of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? are progressive, over time? In this same way, He taught His commands and instructions to Adam, Seth, Enoch, Metushelach, Lamech, Noach, Shem, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Can we see a pattern to HOW He teaches us?

After the Israelites crossed over the Jordan River and entered the Promised Land, the Tent of Meeting and Tabernacle was first located at Shiloh. So the verses above, in part, relate to that. Notice that the Hebrew words of the text teach us that YHWH ?????? will choose a specific place where His NAME will DWELL, that is where His name will TABERNACLE. Later, when the TEMPLE was built, we learn that Jerusalem was the PLACE where YHWH ?????? chose for His NAME TO DWELL ( to TABERNACLE ) forever.

Thus, when He gave the commands and instructions in Leviticus chapter 17, that the sacrifices had to be brought to the door of the Tent of Meeting, wherein the Tabernacle stood, the Hebrew here in Deuteronomy chapter 16 confirms and teaches us that actually the future TEMPLE, which would be built nearly 500 years later, was ultimately that PLACE which was still the door of the Tent of Meeting / Tabernacle, where His Name would TABERNACLE!

3 “You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.
4 And no leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the meat which you sacrifice the first day at twilight remain overnight until morning.
5 “You may not SACRIFICE ( liz-boh-ach ????????? from: Zavach ??? , “to sacrifice” or “to slaughter” ) the PASSOVER WITHIN any of YOUR GATES { within your cities } which YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? gives you;

6 BUT { ONLY } at the PLACE where YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? chooses to make His name DWELL ( or TABERNACLE ), there you shall SACRIFICE ( tiz-bach ????????? from: Zavach ??? , “to sacrifice” or “to slaughter” ) the PASSOVER at twilight, at the going down of the sun, at the time you came out of Egypt.” (Deut 16:3-6)

Here we are given yet another very specific and clear instruction. We are told that we shall NOT SACRIFICE ( “SLAUGHTER” ) ( Zavach ??? ) the Passover lamb WITHIN ANY of our cities. It MUST be done ONLY in the PLACE where He has chosen to make His Name DWELL. And that PLACE was, IS, and shall forever be: Jerusalem.

We shall NOT make any animal SACRIFICE or SLAUGHTER, in any of our towns where we live. Period. It is just that simple. The prohibition is very clear.

And while we may say that YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? has placed His name on us ( in a spiritual way ) as authentic messianic believers in Messiah Yeshua, we can NOT say that He has made His name to dwell in the cities, towns and villages where we live, in our various countries, scattered throughout the world, or in our own backyard. There is ONLY one PLACE, ONLY one CITY, where YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? has indeed placed His NAME.

We cannot spiritualize this or try to re-interpret it, twist or distort its actual and intended meaning to anything other than in Jerusalem. And we cannot say that since the Temple was destroyed in 70 CE, that YHWH ?????? has somehow changed the PLACE where He chose ( FOREVER ) to make His name DWELL ( TABERNACLE ) and moved it to somewhere else.

We can assure you that His NAME is STILL there, even if someone does NOT know this, does NOT see it there, does NOT realize that it is there, or simply does NOT believe that it is STILL there. We know — that His Name is STILL in Jerusalem!

So let’s go to Jerusalem! Are you ready? Watch this – and you will see that His NAME is still there!

There is a beautiful mystery about the words of Deuteronomy 16:2 and 6. One would not see this today, if one were walking through the streets of the “Old City” of Jerusalem, the place that was called “The City of David.” One might not even realize this if one were looking at the “Old City” from the Mount of Olives or even from an aerial viewpoint. So let’s describe it.

There are actually THREE valleys that comprise the land area of what was called “The City of David, “ where the First Temple was built by King David’s son, Solomon. If one were to look at this from the perspective of Heaven looking down, one would see the Hebrew letter SHIN ( ?? ) by the shape of these THREE valleys! The Hebrew letter SHIN ( ?? ) represents the NAME of ELohim ????????.

First, the Hebrew word for NAME is ( Shem ???? ) { Yes, the same name for Noah’s first son! }, and this word begins with the Hebrew letter SHIN ( ?? ).

Second, the NAME of the Almighty One is ( El Shaddai ??? ??????? ) { as YHWH ?????? revealed Himself to Abram, see Gen 17:1} The word: Shaddai also begins with the Hebrew letter SHIN ( ?? ).

For these reasons, the Mezuzah, which is a small box containing the Shema ( Deut 6:4-9 and other Scriptures ), which is placed on the doorposts of the homes of Jewish people, has the Hebrew letter SHIN ( ?? ) on it, indicating that the NAME ( Shem ???? ) of the Almighty One ( El Shaddai ??? ??????? ) is their ELohim ????????.

“And YHWH ?????? said to him { Solomon }: “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built to put My NAME there FOREVER, and My eyes and My heart will be there PERPETUALLY ( call ha-yah-meem ????-????????? ).” ( 1 Kings 9:3)
“… In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name FOREVER ( li-olam ???????? );” ( 2 Kings 21:7)

The eyes of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? are always on His city, Jerusalem ( YeRuSHaLiYiM ???????????? ), as He said.
Therefore, despite the City of Jerusalem being destroyed and the Temple being burned in 70 CE by the Romans, it is clear that the NAME ( Shem ???? ) of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? is STILL there! His NAME WAS there, IS there, and forever SHALL BE there!

7 “And you shall roast and eat it IN the PLACE which YHWH ?????? your ELohim ???????? chooses, and in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents.
8 Six days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a sacred assembly to YHWH ?????? your ELohim ????????. You shall do no work on it.” (Deut 16:7-8)

The PLACE that He chose was Jerusalem. We must NOT make any Passover SACRIFICE { or “SLAUGHTER” } ( Zavach ??? ) in any other place. And we can NOT even make it today, in Jerusalem, that PLACE, because there is NO Temple and NO cleansed and consecrated Levitical Priesthood, of the House of Aaron (yet).
Someone may say that YHWH ?????? has now placed His name on our houses. I am sorry, but this is clearly NOT the obvious and correct intent of these verses. Such interpretation, belief or understanding is simply wrong, incorrect and false and perhaps even an attempt to justify the false “teachings” of a so-called “True Passover / “Scriptural Passover”.

Someone may say that YHWH ?????? has now placed His name on us, our bodies, or in our hearts. I am sorry, but this too is clearly NOT the obvious and correct intent of these verses either. Such interpretation, belief or understanding is also simply wrong, incorrect and false. And we are certainly not supposed to, and can NOT any way, APPLY any shed-blood of a lamb or goat to our physical hearts. ( Remember about POURING out the BLOOD and COVERING it with DUST …?? )

ENTERING the PROMISED LAND (and continuing thereafter)

“So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who were on the west side of the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that YHWH ?????? had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had CROSSED OVER, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel.” (Josh 5:1)

“Now the children of Israel camped in Gilgal, and kept the PASSOVER on the fourteenth day of the month { of Aviv / Nisan } at twilight on the plains of Jericho.” (Josh 5:10) At this point, upon ENTERING the Promised Land, the FINAL commands and instructions which Moses gave the people ( in Deuteronomy 16 ) now take effect.

Did the first-born male of each household sacrifice a lamb and APPLY the shed-blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places here on the plains opposite Jericho? Obviously not. Besides, they were still living in TENTS.

The entire congregation, through the Levites, the priests, of the House of Aaron, made the sacrifice of the Passover lamb at the door of the Tent of Meeting, wherein the Tabernacle stood. And where was the Tabernacle at this time?
The ARK of the Covenant and the entire furnishings of the Tabernacle and Tent of Meeting crossed over the Jordan River IN FRONT OF the whole assembly, leading them in the way that they should go. And the people followed behind it.

1 “Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and they set out from Acacia Grove and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they crossed over.

2 So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp;

3 and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ARK of the covenant of YHWH ?????? your ELohim ????????, and the Priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go AFTER it.

4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.” (Josh 3:1-4)

We learned earlier, that after the Israelites ENTERED into the Promised Land, they had to follow yet another commandment and instruction. NO sacrifices could be made except in the PLACE where YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? chose to place His name. At first, that place was where the Tabernacle stood, which was in Shiloh. But that was only a partial fulfillment and a temporary fulfillment. Hebrew thoughts allow for this kind of first and second fulfillment, or a partial fulfillment and a later complete fulfillment.

When the Temple was finally built in Jerusalem, approximately 490 years later, that then became THE place where YHWH ?????? had chosen to place His name. Thus, from that point onward, NO sacrifices could be made in any other place except in Jerusalem in the Temple, which was still, the doorway of the Tent of Meeting!

LIVING in the PROMISED LAND with the TABERNACLE at SHILOH

Now there is an interesting mystery here concerning Shiloh ( Shiloh ?????? ). First, we learn that Elkanah, husband of Channah, the parents of Samuel, the prophet, went to Shiloh.
”This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to YHWH ?????? of hosts in Shiloh.” (1 Sam 1:3) WHY did he go there to SACRIFICE ( liz-boh-ach ????????? from: Zavach ??? , “to sacrifice” or “to slaughter” ), which is a form of WORSHIP?

It is very simple. To obey the commandments and instructions we have just learned, to only bring a SACRIFICE ( a “SLAUGHTER”) or an offering, to the door of the Tent of Meeting ( which contained the Tabernacle ), which was in Shiloh.

And what is Shiloh? It happens to be a name which refers to the Messiah? (see Gen 49:10) Co-incidence? No.
Therefore, from the time that the Israelites entered into the Promised Land, the offerings and sacrifices which they brought to YHWH ??????, were prophetic portraits of bringing them to Messiah Yeshua, our Shiloh.

LIVING in the PROMISED LAND with the TEMPLE in JERUSALEM

Do we have any example of how they SACRIFICED / SALUGHTERED the Passover lamb while the Temple was standing in Jerusalem? Yes.

1 “Now Josiah kept a Passover to YHWH ?????? in JERUSALEM, and they slaughtered the PASSOVER lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month { Aviv / Nisan }. (2 Chron 35:1)

WHEN – the 14th of Aviv / Nisan. WHERE? In Jerusalem.

2 And he set the Priests in their duties and encouraged them for the service of the HOUSE of YHWH ??????. (2 Chron 35:2)

The HOUSE of YHWH ?????? had moved from the Tent of Meeting to the Temple. The sacrifices still took place at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting ( where the Tabernacle was ), because the Temple is now that Tent of Meeting where the NAME of YHWH ?????? TABERNACLED.

3 Then he said to the Levites who taught all Israel, who were holy to YHWH ??????: “Put the holy ARK in the HOUSE { Temple } which Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, built. It shall no longer be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve YHWH ?????? your ELohim ????????, and His people Israel. (2 Chron 35:3)

The Levites were to serve the entire assembly of Israel in slaughtering the Passover lamb(s) for the Appointed Time on the 14th day of Aviv / Nisan, in accordance with the additional and final instructions of Moses, in Leviticus 17 and Deuteronomy 16.

4 “Prepare yourselves according to your fathers’ houses, according to your divisions, following the written instruction of David king of Israel and the written instruction of Solomon his son.” (2 Chron 35:4)

5 And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of your brethren the people, and according to the division of the father’s house of the Levites. (2 Chron 35:5)

The people means ALL the rest of the people of the assembly of Israel, who are the 12 tribes, excluding the tribe of Levi. This means that the first born male of each household was obviously NOT slaughtering a Passover lamb anymore. Here we see that it is being done by the Levites, the Priests, just as the Levites, the Priests were doing this since the Levitical Priesthood, of the House of Aaron, was established, after the Sin of the Golden Calf – see Exodus 32. }

6 “So slaughter the PASSOVER offerings, consecrate yourselves, and prepare them for your brethren, that they may do according to the word of YHWH ?????? by the hand of Moses.” (2 Chron 35:6)

Here King Josiah ( YoshiYahu ???????????? ) clearly tells the Levites and the Priests to sacrifice / slaughter the Passover lambs, in the Temple, according to the word ( commands and instructions of YHWH ?????? ) by the hand of Moses – which would be per Leviticus 17 and Deuteronomy 16.

Do we see how the COMMANDS and INSTRUCTIONS of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? are progressively increasing and more specific over time? Do we see how they are also more RESTRICTIVE as to WHERE, HOW and by WHOM?
a.) the first born male of the household / family / group of families in Egypt, at the time of the Exodus ONLY
b.) AFTER the Exodus and AFTER the Sin of the Golden Calf: the Levitical Priesthood, and only by the House of Aaron
c.) AFTER the Tent of Meeting and the TABERNALCE were built: only at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting
d.) AFTER ENTERING the Promised Land: only in the place YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? chose (ie: Shiloh)
e.) AFTER the TEMPLE was built: only in Jerusalem in the Temple ( the place where He chose to place His name )
f.) AFTER the death, burial and resurrection of Messiah Yeshua – the earthly physical Levitical Priesthood on earth was fading away…Sacrifices were still being done in the Temple for 40 more years, but YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? was NOT accepting them for atonement or as offerings! Messiah Yeshua became our High Priest, in the eternal heavenly spiritual Melchizedek Priesthood.

g.) AFTER the DESTRUCTION of the TEMPLE in 70 CE, there has been NO Levitical Priesthood on earth at all.
The offering of animal sacrifices ceased. The killing of an animal for anything other than simply eating its meat ( subject to commandments and instructions, such as clean animals only, draining the blood ), is still considered breaking any number of commandments or prohibitions of the Torah.

In the WILDERNESS, the first born male of each household / family / group of families did NOT sacrifice their own Passover lamb anymore and did NOT apply blood to the doorposts of their houses. In fact, they lived in TENTS! Sacrifices and offerings were done at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting.

Do we read ANYWHERE in the Torah AFTER the Exodus, during the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, that the first born male of each household / family / group sacrificed their own Passover lamb? No. It was now a COMMUNITY sacrifice, by the Levites, the Priest, and in the specified PLACE and MANNER prescribed.
After they ENTERED the Promised Land and took cities which had already been built, or built additional cities, the first born male of each household / family still did NOT sacrifice their own Passover lamb and did NOT apply blood to the doorposts of their houses. Sacrifices and offerings continued to be done only at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting.

Do we read ANYWHERE in the Book of Joshua or elsewhere in the Hebrew Prophets, AFTER they ENTERED the Promised Land, that the first born male of each household / family sacrificed their own Passover lamb? No.

Do we read ANYWHERE in the ReNewed Covenant writings, that the first born male of each household / family sacrificed their own Passover lamb? No.

Do we read ANYWHERE in the ReNewed Covenant writings, that Yeshua Himself sacrificed a Passover lamb? No.

Please listen to the following very carefully and understand. IF it was still required, AFTER the Exodus from Egypt, that the first-born male of each family or household SACRIFICE or “SLAUGHTER” a lamb for Passover, and then APPLY its shed-blood to the doorposts of his dwelling place, and Yeshua did NOT do this, then He broke the commandment, is NOT sinless, and CANNOT be the Messiah!!

It does NOT matter what people call, name, categorize and describe this “killing of a lamb or goat”. What matters is what is the INTENT or PURPOSE in doing so. Likewise, it matters what the INTENT or PURPOSE of APPLYING shed-blood to the doorposts of homes is all about. We have learned that YHWH ?????? gave additional and final commands and instructions to Israel, concerning OFFERINGS, SACRIFICES / SLAUGHTERS and the shedding of (animal) BLOOD. We have learned that NO ONE can do anything with the shed-blood except POUR it OUT and COVER it. Therefore, one cannot then APPLY any of that BLOOD to the doorposts of their dwelling places.

Thus, it is irrelevant that people are calling the “killing of a lamb” or “killing of a goat” as a “SLAUGHTER”. It appears that one reason people are calling it a “SLAUGHTER” and NOT a “SACRIFICE”, is because one or more ENGLISH translations of the Hebrew word ( Zavach ??? ) translates this word as “Slaughter”! An ENGLISH translation does NOT change the Truth, the Facts, the Commandments, Instructions, Prohibitions, or the (spiritual or physical) Nature or Consequences of SHEDDING the blood of an animal or APPLYING the blood of that animal to one’s doorposts.

One may kill a lamb or goat to eat its meat, providing it is killed in the proper fashion, according to the requirements and standards of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????. However, to SHED its BLOOD and then APPLY any of the BLOOD to the doorpost of one’s dwelling place MAKES it a SACRIFICE, no matter what people think, intend, believe, understand or realize!!

The next question we should be asking ourselves is: WHY is anyone APPLYING blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places? Is it so that YHWH ?????? SEES the BLOOD???

If the answer is “YES”, then THAT makes it a SACRIFICE ( Zavach ??? ). Period.

Another question to ask ourselves is: Are those who are planning to do this so-called “SLAUGHTER”, actually EXPECTING something to happen by APPLYING blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places? ( despite the clear commandments and instructions regarding the PROHIBITIONS and other requirements? ) If they are EXPECTING something to happen, then what is that? Are they EXPECTING YHWH ?????? to LOOK on that BLOOD and do something?

On the authority of the Word of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????, let us understand that He does NOT, and will NOT, LOOK at any BLOOD which someone APPLIES to their dwelling places — for any purpose or for any reason. On the contrary, it is an ABOMINATION to Him, since it is a FALSE SACRIFICE and it is a SACRIFICE to a DEMON. ( see Lev 17:5-7)
The ONLY shed-BLOOD which YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? LOOKS at today, is the absolute sinless clean blood of Messiah Yeshua, which He shed for us on the “cross” / Tree – which He placed on the eternal altar in Heaven, before the Throne of His Father. It is THAT BLOOD and ONLY that blood, which makes atonement for our sins, iniquities and transgressions and takes them away from us – forever.

Please LISTEN! The INTENT and PURPOSE of APPLYING the blood of the Passover lamb to the doorposts of the dwelling places in Egypt, was a SIGN for YHWH ?????? to see:

They were Redeemed by the GRACE of YHWH ?????? through:
1.) their FAITH in the BLOOD of the Passover lamb for their ( PHYSICAL) REDEMPTION, and
2.) their OBEDIENCE in action, to the commands, instructions, statutes and judgments of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? ( per the Torah ) for their being SET APART ( SANCTIFICATION ) from PHYSICAL slavery and bondage in Egypt.

And notice the incredible prophetic portrait and comparison. These are the EXACT same TWO THINGS which are still required of us today, in order to be authentic believers in Messiah Yeshua and be His Called-Out Redeemed people:
We are Redeemed by the GRACE of YHWH ?????? through:

1.) our FAITH in the BLOOD of the Passover Lamb of ELohim ???????? for our ( SPIRITUAL) REDEMPTION { JUSTIFICATION }, and
2.) our OBEDIENCE in action, to the commands, instructions, statutes and judgments of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? ( per the Torah ) for our being SET APART ( SANCTIFICATION ) from SPIRITUAL slavery and bondage in “Egypt”, which still represents sin, the world and the world’s systems and values.

The METHOD of True REDEMPTION has NOT changed. The only difference — is the LAMB!
( with a corresponding change in the PRIESTHOOD and the HIGH PRIEST:FROM: the earthly, physical Priesthood of the Levites, of the House of Aaron, with the oldest being High Priest TO: the heavenly, spiritual Priesthood, according to Melchizedek, with Messiah being our High PriestBut – the COVENANT has NOT been changed — but rather Repaired, ReStored and ReNewed!! )
For I YHWH ?????? do not change (Mal 3:6)
Yeshua ???????? the Messiah ( Mashiach ???????? ) – the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Heb 13:8)
We are NOT in physical Egypt and we are not needing redemption from physical slavery and bondage, despite any twisting, distorting or misunderstanding of Scriptures that may be contained in those FALSE TEACHINGS of a “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover”.

Finally, IF someone is APPLYING the shed-blood of an animal today, and expecting or asking YHWH ?????? to look at it, for ANY reason, they are committing a grave sin equivalent to the false sacrifice of the Sin of the Golden Calf.

PASSOVER in JERUSALEM, at the TEMPLE, in the FIRST CENTURY

“His parents { the parents of Yeshua: Yosef/Joseph and Miryam/Miriam } went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the PASSOVER. And when He { Yeshua } was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.” (Luke 2:41-42)

The TABLES of the MONEY CHANGERS in the TEMPLE

Why were the multitudes of Israelites going to Jerusalem and to the tables of the Money Changers in the Temple? Have you ever thought about that? You will be amazed what the Scriptures show us about Passover in the first century! And this also, will prove to us, that these teachings about a so-called “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover” are FALSE.

In fact, this next point will again actually explain to us, very clearly, what was meant and intended by the commandments and instructions in Exodus chapter 12 concerning the sacrifice of the Passover lamb after the Exodus from Egypt.
13 ”Now the PASSOVER of the Jews was at hand, and Yeshua went up to JERUSALEM.

14 And He found in the TEMPLE those who sold OXEN and SHEEP and doves, and the MONEY CHANGERS doing business.

15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the CHANGERS’ MONEY and overturned the TABLES.

16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” (John 2:13-16)

What was this all about? What was happening in the Temple? It was PASSOVER. So WHY were there OXEN and SHEEP IN the TEMPLE area? Have you ever thought about that before?

Let’s explore this. So here’s some background information. From about 744 BCE to 722 BCE, the Ten Northern Tribes ( also called “Israel” or “Ephraim” ) were exiled and taken into captivity to Assyria. By the way, this punishment and judgment was because of their FALSE WORSHIP practices. From about 605 BCE to 586 BCE, the Two Southern Tribes ( also called “Judah”, and also included the tribe of Levi ) were exiled and taken into captivity to Babylon. And the reason? Because of their FALSE WORSHIP practices also!

And by the way, multitudes upon multitudes of people, in the “church”, who claim to be the people of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? today, are still following and doing the EXACT SAME pagan false worship and demon worship practices of ancient Babylon, which the ancient Israelites did ( ishtar / easter and crist-mass), only “marketed” and named with different names! And they too, falsely think that they are somehow not subject to the commandments and instructions of the Torah of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????. Likewise, they too shall suffer punishment and judgment and go into exile and captivity, if they do not genuinely repent and obey His Torah. For I YHWH ?????? do NOT change (Mal 3:6).

Then the Babylonians conquered the Assyrian Empire. As a result, the Ten Northern Tribes now came under Babylonian rule, and were sort of re-united with the Two Southern Tribes ( plus Levi ) already in captivity in Babylon!

Then the Medes and Persians conquered the Babylonian Empire and all of the TWELVE tribes of Israel came under Persian rule. ( Book of Esther, Ezra, Nehemiah and others ) The Israelites were scattered again. History tells us that many also went further northward and eastward.

Then the Greeks conquered the Persian Empire. The Israelites, scattered among so many peoples, groups and nations already, were scattered yet even more. History records for us that many went still further eastward ( such as to India ) and still northward again and now some went back westward, into the Grecian Empire — into places like Asia Minor (modern- day Turkey). One such place where many ended up was in a Greek region, which was called … Galatia. ( some may be starting to think and ask some questions! Yes! Guess who it seems was there in Galatia and who was writing to whom? )

Then the Romans conquered the Greek Empire. The Israelites got scattered even more, in every direction, all over the world, among every nation and people group. They were living in many of the Greek cities and Roman cities.

“Then YHWH ?????? will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known—wood and stone.” (Deut 28:64) It was part of the CURSE. But notice the MERCY of YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? in the scattering nevertheless …

Remember, Messiah Yeshua told His Hebrew Apostles: Go to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel. They OBEYED. They WENT. They KNEW WHERE all the “Israelites” were, those who had been scattered for about 800 + years already. They knew how to find the SYNAGOGUES that were in every place! They found them! That is, YHWH ?????? led His Hebrew Apostles ( being sent by Him ) directly TO them! And so the Hebrew Apostles preached the Good News of Yeshua the Messiah to THEM first!!

For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Messiah, for it is the power of ELohim ???????? to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and { then } also for the Greek. To the Jew FIRST, always.

They went, two by two. Shimon Kefa (Peter) and another went to Babylon. Thomas and another went through the area of the former Persian Empire, all the way to India. Others went to Galatia, that large Greek region in Asia Minor. One of the Hebrew Apostles, who also grew up in a Greek city, and was fluent in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, perhaps the greatest Torah scholar who ever lived, wrote a letter to these people, his OWN people there. Can you guess who?

They are NOT lost! They just didn’t know who they are! They lost their identity being scattered and re-scattered among the pagans, whose gods their parents and forefathers had worshipped while living in the Land of Israel, NOT OBEYING the Torah. But YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? knows. He does NOT lose ANYONE or ANYTHING that belongs to Him!

By the time of the first century, much of the known world had been conquered by the Romans. There were Israelites scattered throughout the Roman Empire, even as far west as the land area which over a thousand years later became Spain. (There’s an incredible mystery about this also, but that too will have to wait for a future teaching.) There were still other empires which the Romans had not conquered.

But did any Israelites or Jews, make any SACRIFICE or “SLAUGHTER” for Passover in their own cities, wherever that was in the Roman Empire, and APPLY the shed-blood of the animal to their dwelling places? Of course not!

Those that lived IN THE LAND of Israel, near or close to Jerusalem, brought their sacrifice ( ie: lamb or goat ) with them when they went to the Temple, for the Appointed Times (“feasts”), for the Passover sacrifice to be done there by the Priests, in accordance with the additional and final commands and instructions of Leviticus 17 and Deuteronomy 16.

But those that lived too far away, and especially those scattered throughout the Roman Empire, would have sold a lamb or goat in their own city, in their own land, for money. Then they would bring that money with them to Jerusalem. There they had to EXCHANGE that money for the local currency, which was then used to buy a lamb for their Passover sacrifice. They then took that lamb and brought it to a Priest who did the sacrifice ( or “SLAUGHTER” ) for them, in the Temple.

The issue concerning the Money Changers in the Temple was that they were greedy and they were cheating the people, by taking advantage of them. The people had no other choice but to exchange their money there. And they had no other choice but to buy their lamb or goat there. Therefore, instead of serving the people who had come to Jerusalem for the Passover, with integrity, honesty and mercy, to have the sacrifice done for them, in OBEDIENCE to the commands and instructions of the Torah, those religious hypocrites were deceiving and abusing the people. They could be considered similar to the “false prosperity teachers” of our day!

So we see clearly that approximately 1,500 years after the Exodus, the Israelites were still KEEPING the Passover and doing so according to Exodus chapter 12, but also in accordance to the additional commands and instructions of Leviticus chapter 17 and Deuteronomy 16. NO ONE (among them) was making such a SACRIFICE ( Zavach ??? ) or “SLAUGHTER” ( Zavach ??? ) of a lamb or goat, in their own city, anywhere, and NO ONE was APPLYING blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places, neither in their cities throughout the Roman Empire or in the Land of Israel!

If THAT was still required since the ONE-TIME ONLY event done for the Exodus in Egypt, then WHY were they NOT doing it that way? Because THAT particular SACRIFICE ( Zavach ??? ) or “SLAUGHTER” ( Zavach ??? ) was thereafter done, by the Levites, the Priests, at the door of the Tent of Meeting / Tabernacle ( in the wilderness and then in Shiloh upon entering the Land ) and then later, at the door of Tent of Meeting / Tabernacle — the Temple, in Jerusalem, the place where YHWH ?????? chose to make His name DWELL ( TABERNACLE ).
So we see very clearly, from Exodus 12, Leviticus 17, Numbers 9 and 28, Deuteronomy 16, Joshua, through the Hebrew Prophets, the Books of Kings and Chronicles, all the way to the First Century and the ReNewed Covenant writings, that as YHWH ?????? gave additional commands and instructions concerning offerings, sacrifices (“slaughters”), killing of animals — the Scriptures are always in agreement as to WHO, WHEN, WHERE and HOW these must be done.

MESSIAH YESHUA KEEPS the PASSOVER

1 “Now it came to pass, when Yeshua had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples,
2 “You know that after two days is the PASSOVER, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.” (Matt 26:1-2)

14 Then one of the twelve, called Yehudah Ish Kariot ( Judas Iscariot ), went to the chief priests
15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.
16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him. (Matt 26:14-16)

17 Now on the first day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread { Aviv / Nisan 15 } the disciples came to Yeshua, saying to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the PASSOVER { Aviv / Nisan 14 }”. ( by the time of the first century, the Jews had sort of “merged” the two Appointed Times ( “Feasts” ) of Passover and UnLeavened Bread into one…this explains why we read both mentioned together in this verse, although they did KEEP both Feasts. )
18 And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the PASSOVER at your house with My disciples ( talmidim ).”
19 So the disciples did as Yeshua had directed them; and they prepared the PASSOVER.
20 When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve.

21 Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”
22 And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Master, is it I?”
23 He answered and said, “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me.

24 The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”
25 Then Yehudah { Judas } , who was betraying Him, answered and said, “Rabbi, is it I?”
He said to him, “You have said it.”

26 And as they were eating, Yeshua took MATZAH { unleavened bread }, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
27 Then He took the cup { of wine, the THIRD of FOUR cups taken at a Passover Seder, after the meal is eaten }, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
28 For this is My blood of the ReNewed Covenant ( see Jer 31:31-34, Ezek 26:24-29), which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on { that is, the FOURTH CUP } until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” ( compare with Gen 14:18-20, Melchizedek and Abram, matzah and wine. )
30 And when they had sung a hymn { not just one hymm or song, but what is called the “Hallel” – Praise, Psa 112-118 }, they went out to the Mount of Olives. (Matt 26:17-30)

“After two days it was the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him { Messiah Yeshua } by trickery and put Him to death.” (Mark 14:1) ( see comment above regarding Matt 26:17, see also Mark 14:10-26 for additional reading concerning Passover. )

“Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called PASSOVER.” (Luke 22:1) ( This confirms our explanation earlier that by the first century, the Jews called both Festivals by one name or the other, even though they did OBSERVE both of them at their Appointed Times. )

7 Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the PASSOVER must be killed.
8 And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the PASSOVER for us, that we may eat.”
9 So they said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare?”
10 And He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters.
11 Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the PASSOVER with My disciples ( Hebrew: talmidim )?”’
12 Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.”
13 So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the PASSOVER.” (Lule 22:7-13)

14 When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him.
15 Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this PASSOVER with you before I suffer;
16 for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of ELohim ???????? ( the Marriage of the Lamb and His True Bride ).”
17 Then He took the cup { of wine, the THIRD of FOUR cups taken at a Passover Seder, after the meal is eaten }, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves;
18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine { that is, the FOURTH CUP } until the kingdom of ELohim ???????? comes.”
19 And He took MATZAH { unleavened bread }, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
20 Likewise He also took the { THIRD } cup { of wine } after supper { the SEDER }, saying, “This cup is the ReNewed Covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. ( compare with Gen 14:18-20, Melchizedek and Abram, matzah and wine. )
21 But behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table.
22 And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”

“Then, six days before the PASSOVER, Yeshua came to Bethany, where Eleazar { Lazarus } was, who had been dead, whom He had raised from the dead.” (John 12:1)

1 Now before the Feast of the Passover { actually meaning the slaying of the Passover lamb in the Temple on Aviv / Nisan 14, between the evenings, per Exod 12 }, when Yeshua knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
2 And supper { the SEDER } being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Yehudah Ish Kariot { Judas Iscariot }, Simon’s son, to betray Him,
3 Yeshua, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from ELohim ???????? and was going to ELohim ????????,
4 rose from the SEDER and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.
5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.” (John 13:1-5)

In Part 2 of the Teaching, we learned that YHWH ?????? instructed us to RE-TELL the story of the Exodus and the Redemption. This is what the Passover Seder is about: To RE-TELL the story to our children, in every generation. And like everything else in the Torah, Yeshua came to teach us the deeper, higher, greater and true intents and meanings of the commandments, statutes and judgments of the Torah ( see Matt 5:17-20 ). Thus, in KEEPING the PASSOVER, and doing the SEDER, as the Israelites had done for nearly 1,500 years, He taught and explained to His talmidim ( disciples ) what YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? was showing through the FIRST PASSOVER ( the Exodus from Egypt ) and how everything is a portrait, of Him and fulfilled in Him, the True Passover Lamb of ELohim ????????.

It is NOT necessary to do a formal “Seder” in order to KEEP the Passover. YHWH ?????? gave us the THREE (3) things which are important. “Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.” (Exod 12:8):

1.) Take the lamb – we already have the lamb – Yeshua, the ONLY and TRUE LAMB of ELohim ????????.
2.) Bitter herbs
3.) Matzah – unleavened bread

Then, let us OBEY the instruction to RE-TELL the story of the Redemption from Egypt, which YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? did for us, and lead people to His Lamb – Yeshua.

YESHUA the MESSIAH is our PASSOVER

“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Messiah, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the APPOINTED TIME { “feast” } not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the MATZAH { UnLeavened Bread } of sincerity and truth.” (1 Cor 5:7-8)

Do we read where Rabbi Saul / Rav Shaul / Apostle Paul instructed the believers to SACRIFICE or SLAUGHTER a lamb or goat and APPLY its shed-blood to the doorposts of their dwelling places? Of course not!

Now, IF all of this is still NOT enough to convince someone NOT to commit this grave sin of a so-called Passover “SLAUGHTER”, let’s look at the actual fulfillment of the commandments which YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? Himself does, to fulfill His own word. Are you ready?

The CRUCIFIXION of YESHUA the MESSIAH, the Torah Made FLESH, the LIVING Torah and the WALKING Torah

Yeshua WALKS OUT His TORAH and FULFILLS His OWN COMMANDS and INSTRUCTIONS!!

We are now going to show you directly from the very words of our Creator Redeemer YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? that the SACRIFICE which He Himself did, for us, on the “cross” / Tree, is in perfect fulfillment of the additional and final commands and instructions which He Himself gave to Moses.
This is astounding!

Are you ready?

In the process, a greater understanding of these Scriptures, will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, that these teachings referred to as a “True Passover” and a “Scriptural Passover” are absolutely FALSE.

Let’s remember that ALL five (5) offerings in Leviticus chapters 1 through 7 are fulfilled in Messiah Yeshua. So let’s go back to Leviticus chapter 17:

“Whatever man of the house of Israel who kills an ox or lamb or goat IN the camp, or who kills it OUTSIDE the CAMP…” (Lev 17:3)

WHERE was MESSIAH Yeshua crucified? In Jerusalem, but OUTSIDE the CAMP ( OUTSIDE the TEMPLE )

“Now as they came out { of the gates of the city of Jerusalem }, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross.” (Matt 27:32)

” And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him,” (Luke 23:33)

“Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. Then they took Yeshua and led Him away. And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him … Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Yeshua was crucified was NEAR the city { but OUTSIDE the city gates! }; “ (John 19:16-18)

“Therefore Yeshua also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered OUTSIDE the GATE.” (Heb 13:12)

“and does not bring it TO the DOORWAY of the TENT of MEETING to offer an offering to YHWH ?????? before the Tabernacle of YHWH ??????, the guilt of bloodshed shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people,” (Lev 17:4)

The Hebrew for: “TO the DOORWAY of the TENT of MEETING” is ( el-peh-tach oh-hel moh-aid ???-?????? ????? ?????? ) The Hebrew word translated here for “DOOR” / “DOORWAY” ( peh-tach ?????? ) means: “door”, “doorway”, “gate”, “entrance” or “opening”. Messiah Yeshua was crucified OUTSIDE the CAMP, OUTSIDE the gates, BUT, directly opposite the ( EASTERN ) gate of the wall to the city of Jerusalem, facing the ENTRANCE to the Temple and the Holy of Holies!

( It is beyond the purpose of this teaching to explain the various reasons why Messiah Yeshua was crucified on the Mount of Olives to the EAST of the Temple Mount – which faced EASTWARD towards the Mount of Olives – and NOT crucified to the NORTH of the city, as most have been taught wrongly. Here is just one of the reasons though: The Roman centurion would not have been able to SEE both Yeshua on the “cross” / Tree and the VEIL in the Holy of Holies rent from top to bottom when Yeshua died, unless the crucifixion took place with Yeshua Himself, looking straight across the Kidron Valley directly into the Holy of Holies from the “cross” / Tree!!! Can you picture this now? )

Thus, Yeshua was BROUGHT as an offering by YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? to the TO the DOORWAY of the TENT of MEETING, which was the Temple in Jerusalem!!

5 “to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they offer in the open field, that they may bring them to YHWH ?????? at the DOORWAY of the TENT of MEETING, to the Priest, and offer them as PEACE OFFERINGS ( shi-lah-mim ????????? ) to YHWH ??????. (Lev 17:5)

See Leviticus chapter 3 for the commands and instructions concerning the PEACE OFFERINGS ( shi-lah-mim ????????? ). Messiah Yeshua was our Peace Offering, by whose chastisement, brought peace for us ( see Isa 53:5 )

6 And the priest shall sprinkle the BLOOD on the ALTAR of YHWH ?????? at the DOORWAY of the TENT of MEETING, and burn the fat for a sweet aroma to YHWH ??????. (Lev 17:6)

7 They shall no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat DEMONS with which they PLAY the HARLOT. This shall be a PERMANENT statute ( chu-kat ?????? ) to them THROUGHOUT their GENERATIONS.” (Lev 17:6-7)

Messiah Yeshua’s sacrifice for us made atonement for all of our false worship and false sacrifices and all of our spiritual adulteries, by which we all played the harlot.

8 “Then you shall say to them, ‘Any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

Since this command pertains to both the NATIVE BORN Israelite ( Ezrach ??????? ) and the stranger ( Ger ???? ) living among us, it is a prophetic portrait that Yeshua’s sacrifice is for ALL peoples of ALL nations: both Israel and the foreigners.

9 and does NOT bring it to the DOORWAY of the TENT of MEETING to offer it to YHWH ??????, that man also shall be cut off from his people. (Lev 17:8-9)

This verse teaches us that those who do not accept Yeshua’s sacrifice for the forgiveness of their sins shall be cut off forever by YHWH ??????.

10 ‘And any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.

11 ‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’

12 “Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘No person among you may eat blood, nor may any alien who sojourns among you eat blood.’

13 “So when any man from the sons of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, in hunting catches a beast or a bird which may be eaten, he shall POUR OUT its BLOOD and COVER it with DUST. (Lev 17:10-13)

Yeshua shed His sinless blood for us on the “cross” / Tree. But what happened to His blood?

31 “Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Shabbat (for that Shabbat was a high day) { the Shabbat of the first day of the Appointed Time of Unleavened Bread, see Lev 23:6-8 }, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.

33 But when they came to Yeshua and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.

34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately BLOOD and WATER came out.” (John 19:31-34)

WHERE did the BLOOD and WATER of Yeshua go???
Watch this! — YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? Himself POURED it OUT, according to Lev 17:13!!

“Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the ROCKS WERE SPLIT,” (Matt 27:51)

When the rocks were split under the “cross” / Tree, where Yeshua was hanging dead, YHWH ?????? our ELohim ???????? opened up the GROUND directly below Him! He then POURED OUT the BLOOD and WATER from His LEFT side, which had been pierced by the sword of the Roman soldier, as it flowed DOWN — INTO the EARTH.

YHWH ?????? then CLOSED UP the earth, and thus COVERED the shed-blood of Messiah! Do you see it???

( There are still other incredible mysteries of what took place there, but these also will have to wait for a future teaching. )

“So when any man from the sons of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, in hunting catches a beast or a bird which may be eaten, he shall POUR out its BLOOD and COVER it with DUST. (Lev 17:13)
Can we see how awesome is our Heavenly Father, who Himself POURED OUT the BLOOD of Messiah Yeshua and then Himself COVERED it with DUST — to fulfill His own commandments and instructions in His own Torah???

We are at the time of Aviv / Nisan 10. It is the time when the Israelites were instructed to take the Passover lamb and bring it into their homes. They were to INSPECT it and EXAMINE it carefully, for FOUR (4) days, to make sure that there was NO defect, spot, wrinkle, blemish or stain on it. It had to be perfect. On the 14th, between the evenings, they were to kill the Passover lamb.

How today, are we now to KEEP the Passover? How can we KEEP a “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover”? Do we have a lamb? Yes! Our Creator Redeemer, YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????, has already given us the lamb, His Lamb, the Lamb of ELohim ????????, who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29, 36).
Let us therefore take Messiah Yeshua, the ONLY Lamb, which is WITHOUT defect, spot, wrinkle, blemish or stain, into our homes and into our hearts. But instead of inspecting and examining Him, let us ask Him, to INSPECT us and EXAMINE us!

Let us ask Him to search our hearts for these FOUR (4) days. Let us ask Him, to show us, the sin (spiritual leaven) which is in our homes, our lives, our hearts, our words, our thoughts, our deeds, our actions, our behaviours, and in the motives and intents of our hearts.

Let us ask Him to SANCTIFY us ( SET us APART ), even more, from anything and everything that is UNCLEAN and OF this world, so that we can become more like Him. And on the 14th, on the PASSOVER, let us kill whatever is unclean in us, or that is unpleasing to Him, so that we can be WITHOUT defect, spot, wrinkle, blemish or stain.

Let us, therefore, pray this simple, yet powerful prayer:
YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????, My Father ( Avi ????? ), show Me my own sin!

Then, we shall be able to KEEP the “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover”, through Yeshua the Messiah, the Lamb of ELohim ????????, who is our ONLY “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover”.

One final mystery to explain and we close. At the beginning of Part 2, we shared that there was a profound mystery hidden here in the Hebrew of this verse:
“Now the BLOOD shall be a SIGN ( oht ??? ) for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.” (Exod 12:13)

In EVERY single instance in the Torah, where the Hebrew word SIGN ( oht ???? ) is used, it is ALWAYS is spelled with THREE Hebrew letters: Alef – Vav – Tav. Here is a list of those Scripture references:

Gen – 4:15, 9:12, 9:13, 9:17, 17:11
Exod – 3:12, 13:9, 13:16, 31:13, 31:17
Lev – NONE ( not co-incidental that there are none here )
Num – 16:38, 17:10
Deut – 6:8, 11:18, 13:1, 13:2, 28:46

Yet, here in this one verse (Exod 12:13), the Hebrew word for SIGN ( oht ??? ) is spelled with just TWO Hebrew letters: Alef – Tav! Yeshua is the Alef Tav of YHWH ?????? ELohim ????????. These are the FIRST and LAST letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Alef – Tav ( ?? ) is also a direct reference to Messiah Yeshua. ”… saying, “I am the Alef ( ? ) and the Tav ( ? ) …” (Rev 1:11)

In EACH and EVERY Scripture reference in the list above, we have SIGN ( oht ???? ) WITH a Vav. But in Exod 12:13, concerning the sacrifice of the Passover lamb, the SIGN there is WITHOUT a Vav! Why? Because the Vav, being the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, can be used in ancient Paleo Hebrew to represent a man. Thus, in Exod 12:13, we have as the SIGN, the Alef – Tav ( ?? ). But the Vav, the “man”, is not there yet! Israel was supposed to REHEARSE for 1,500 years, until that “man” — YHWH ?????? in the Flesh — became our Lamb, our True Passover!

What is YHWH ?????? teaching us here through the Hebrew words and letters of Exod 12:13? “Now the BLOOD { of the Passover lamb } shall be a SIGN ( oht ??? ) { of the blood of the Messiah, the Passover Lamb of ELohim ????????. } for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the BLOOD { of the Messiah on the doorposts of your HEART }, I will pass over you; and the plague { spiritual death, eternal condemnation } shall NOT be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt { the world }.” (Exod 12:13)

Can we now finally see the full picture, how right there in the Hebrew words of Exodus, in the exact commands and instructions for the killing of the Passover lamb sacrifice, that YHWH ?????? was saying to us all along, that the “True Passover” / “Scriptural Passover” IS Messiah Yeshua, the Lamb of ELohim ???????? ??

But here is yet another astounding mystery within THIS mystery. There are two instances where it appears that there is an exception. That is, where the word SIGN ( oht ??? ) is also spelled with just TWO Hebrew letters: Alef – Tav.
But upon closer look, it is NOT. It’s yet another prophetic portrait about Messiah!
“Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, ‘YHWH ?????? has not appeared to you.’ ” “ (Exod 4:1)
”…that they { Israel } may believe that YHWH ?????? ELohim ???????? of their fathers, ELohim ???????? of Abraham, ELohim ???????? of Isaac, and ELohim ???????? of Jacob, has APPEARED to you { Moses } (Exod 4:5)
”Then it will be, if they do not believe you, nor heed the message of the FIRST SIGN ( ha-oht ha-ri-shohn ????? ?????????? ), that they may believe the message of the last SIGN ( ha-oht ha-ah-chah-rohn ????? ?????????? ).” (Exod 4:8)
Here, hidden in the Hebrew words, there is a prophecy of the TWO MINISTRIES of Messiah Yeshua!! His FIRST time on earth and His SECOND time on earth. Each time He will appear to Israel, He Himself is the ( miraculous ) SIGN ( oht ??? ).

Compare this with the words of Yeshua to Yochanan (John): “And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First ( ha-ri-shohn ?????????? ), and the Last ( ha-ah-chah-rohn ?????????? ).” (Rev 1:17) Could Yeshua be telling John that He is the FIRST – SIGN and the LAST – SIGN, which was spoken to Moses at the Burning Bush? It seems so!

There is yet one more APPARENT exception, in Exodus 8:23 ( 8:19 in the Hebrew). But we shall leave the explanation for a future teaching.
