Mourning, Complaining and Not Being in Control

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shalom to The Royal Family of Yehovah,

“New Moon Report “

This is the New Moon report sent out by Nehemiah Gordon. This one would also be controversial if it was the 1st or the 7th month. As it is, this is now the 5th month. Nehemiah went with the April Passover.

I have been reading and following Dr. Roy Hoffman for many years and have written about him in our News Letters. I do trust his reports. But do we have two witnesses?

On Tuesday, July 5, 2016, the new moon was sighted from Maale Adumim, Israel by Dr. Roy Hoffman of the Israeli New Moon Society. Here is his report:

I saw the Moo[n] from Mitspe Nevo, Ma’ale Adummim, Israel this evening (Tuesday 5th July 2016). I spotted it with binoculars (25 x 100mm) at 19:43 (UTC+03) then with the naked eye at 20:03 shortly before it disappeared over the mountains at 20:04. The picture was taken at 20:03. Temperature 26½°C, pressure 955 mbar, humidity 57%.

Dr. Hoffman’s photo at the top of this message confirms beyond any doubt that he sighted the new moon and he is a highly skilled and experienced observer.

We also received several reports from those who were not able to sight the new moon from Israel. As of this writing, Dr. Hoffman is the only observer to have successfully sighted the new moon tonight. In ancient times, two witnesses were required to testify as to the sighting of the new moon. I have struggled with this issue over the years. The Torah does not specify that two witnesses are required, yet experience has convinced me of the value of never relying on a single witness. So what do we do this month? My advice is to work it out for yourself in fear and trembling with prayer and study before the Creator of the Universe. When the King Messiah sits on the throne of David and brings peace to the world, he will teach us the truth. Until then we need to do the best we can with the information we have. If we receive further reliable reports, we will let you know.

So now brethren, what do we do? It is just the 5th month, but if this was the 1st or the 7th month, then what should we do? This coming seventh month is also going to be very close as to whether or not the moon is sighted on one day or the next. If we have just one reliable witness such as Dr. Roy Hoffman along with a clear picture as we do for this month, do we accept this by the word of one witness? Or must we insist on two, even though we have a valid picture to go with his testimony? Where are the scriptures that demand we use two witnesses? This month we have one good witness and a picture. Now you must judge.

I have sided with him on this month. But what do we do for the 1st or 7th month?

“In the Mail this Week”

Each week I work to try and get this message in front of the talking heads so that it can be relayed to the many people that they teach. Christian groups, news broadcasters, and churches. Most of the time it is an exercise in frustration. This week I sent books to James Dobson and the Jim Bakker Show. I called John Hagee and John Bevere as well as Rick Wiles. I also sent books to Thinking Man Films, the people we spoke with in 2010 about the movie they were making about the Exodus. I get excited at the hope that they might hear what I have to say and want to learn more. Most of the time I am disappointed they will not hear at all.

There are some of you who share these teachings each week on your social media accounts. You also warn people about what is coming and you tell them to get The 2300 Days of Hell or to get Remembering the Sabbatical year of 2016, to get The Blood Moons e-book and The Prophecies of Abraham. You also tell them to get the DVD’s or to watch them on our web site. And you explain why they need to get the book or DVD or why they need to read the News Letter. You give them some info and do not just say read or watch this. You tell them why they need to learn these things. May Yehovah bless each and everyone of you.

This year you will be keeping the Feast with others around the world. Many of them may have heard about the Sabbatical years. Will you have an extra book to give to them or will you be able to refer them to where they can learn more? The Brexit events and the LGBTQ events along with the ISIS events that are taking place, can you tell people why these things are happening and where it is leading us to? Do you suggest to people to get The 2300 Days of Hell book to learn more when you are not able to explain it all or our other teachings? There is going to be another Dark Moon to begin Sukkot this year just as there was a dark moon at Passover this year. That is, for those of us who kept Passover in March and not in April. Are you going to explain these things or will you do your best and then urge them to get the rest of the information from our resources?

There are some men who were Sunday Baptist teachers and then heard my teachings. They continued to teach but now included the Sabbath and Holy Days and Sabbatical years and the prophecies they reveal. And they began to teach on the Sabbath. Some were removed from the Churches they were in and others continued in the same church. We all are called in various places and stages of life and at different social levels. Take advantage of them, because this may be why Yehovah called you where you are. No one else could do what you have been called to do.

We cannot all be the leaders but we can all encourage others who are looking for the truth to come and learn at our site or in our books the things they will not be taught anywhere else. So please continue to do this each and every week and multiple times throughout the week. You can also tell them to follow me on FB. I have a number of pages there and they may not be able to friend me but they can follow me as I post many things each week that do not get put in our News Letter.

The person Yehovah is calling may see your note then someone else who wrote a different explanation and then they might again see another. And then they might say to themselves “I should look at this and check it out”. War is coming and each of you knows this. If you do not warn the people Yehovah is going to ask you why you did not warn them. Their blood will be upon your head for not speaking out.

Here are some people I found who are doing this exact thing. There are others too who have been doing it for years. If only I had thousands of your notes to post here. We all have a job to do. Are you doing yours?

Shalom Joseph. I’ve been doing some more gorilla advertising for you. This week it was Glen Beck, the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corp) and other websites where I can post a comment. Shalom and keep it up!

The jubilee years are only mentioned 2 times in Scripture. By knowing WHEN these occurred in history, the rest is easy. You can pinpoint these exact years in history and count by cycles of 7 backwards and forwards to see when the sabbatical years fell and will fall in the future AS WELL AS THE JUBILEE YEARS! The last jubilee year was in 1996 and the next will be in 2045. This year is a sabbatical year. In 1996 the curses of Leviticus 26 started rolling out on a desperately sinning world- starting with TERROR. That was the year ObLaden declared worldwide terror- JUST AS PREDICTED WOULD HAPPEN! and so it rolls on to the next curse every 7years. Joseph Dumond’s 3 books document this very accurately in great detail! Free teachings on YouTube.

There are also those who are very grateful of the message we are sharing and want to help.

Thank you ever so much, and I do agree to your conditions very thankfully and humbly.

If I could also ask you if there is an address where I might send Holy Day offerings to. I still keeping CoG Holy day calendar but haven’t been part of a fellowship since I left CoG-pkg in 2012. So I been praying where to send my offerings to. It seems clear to me my prayers been answered. I would love to get behind the message of this ministry.

I’ve been searching for where God has been working ever since 2012.

I appreciate what you have offered me and will eagerly await the literature so I can help others when things deteriorate. I will do my up most to direct people to the books whenever possible. With Brexit finally happening the timeline seems right on money from the limited information I have without reading your books. There really is no time to waist.

Hopefully we can get to know each other a little better in future. Thank you again from bottom of my heart. I certainly feel like my Lord is pouring out a blessing over me lol.

Psa 37:4  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
My desire is to learn more about the material this ministry has made available to public. So I believe he has given me the desire of my heart indeed lol.

You can expect a monthly offering from me by money order. Hopefully it will help to pay for books that you generously have offered me over time .

I expect that you are a busy man so I will not take up to much more your time. If I may say before I let you go how much I enjoyed the videos on your you tube page. I look forward to watching again so I can understand some of the revelation that went over my head after I read the books lol.

I can not thank you enough. I feel like I won lottery. Better still as money will be nil at some point soon.

Good day Mr. Dumond and thank you again.
Yours Truly

“The Shemita Year Aviv 2016 to Aviv 2017”

With the new moon this coming week, you will have completed your first 4 months of the shemitah year. Congratulations to all of you who are keeping it for the first time at the proper time. Yehovah bless you and keep you. Yehovah bless your food supplies and keep you from the dangers that are coming.

You are now 1/3 of the way done for the year. Think about all you have learned by doing this. As both Paul and James says,

Rom 2:13  For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.

Jas 1:22  But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Again, I am so proud to know you are trying and have gotten this far. When you consider all the people in the world, you are one of 7 billion chosen by Yehovah. Of that remnant that Yehovah chose, you are one of maybe only thousands who are keeping the Sabbatical year around the world in many countries. Because of your determination to obey, the world will not be totally destroyed, similar to Lot and Sodom. So be encouraged and stay the course – righteousness is put on by those who do the law in their heart as well as in their walk.

The fall Feasts will be as follows:

Friday Sept 2, 2016 to Saturday Sept 3, 2016 will be the Feast of Trumpets if the moon is sighted. If not then the next day, Sunday, will be the Feast of Trumpets.

Assuming the moon is sighted then Atonement will be sunset Sept 11 to sunset Sept 12.

The Feast of Sukkot will begin on Friday evening Sept 16 and Saturday Sept 17.

The 8th Day will be Friday Sunset Sept 23, to sunset Saturday Sept 24, 2016

Pray to Yehovah and ask Him to reveal to you the truth as to when the year began and when to keep the Feasts.

Again I am going to share with you the commandments for the Sabbatical year, maybe each week until you have it memorized. The Sabbatical year began with the sighting of the moon on the evening of March 10, 2016.

1)  Do not plant

2) Do not harvest

Lev 25:3  You shall sow your field six years, and you shall prune your vineyard six years, and gather in the fruit of it. 4  But in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest to the land, a Sabbath for Jehovah. You shall neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard. 5  You shall not reap that which grows of its own accord of your harvest, neither gather the grapes of your undressed vine. It is a year of rest to the land.

3) You can eat what grows on it’s own.

Lev 25:6  And the Sabbath of the land shall be food for you, for you and for your servant, and for your slave woman and for your hired servant, and for your stranger who stays with you, 7  and for your cattle, and for the beast that is in your land, shall all the increase of it be for food.

4) Stock up on food in the 6th year.

Lev 25:20  And if you shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow nor gather in our increase! 21  Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

5) Forgive any debts people owed to you by Sukkot.

Deu 15:1  At the end of every seven years you shall make a release. 2  And this is the manner of the release. Every man who has a loan to his neighbor shall release it. He shall not exact it from his neighbor, or from his brother, because it is called Jehovah’s release. 3  You may exact it from a foreigner, but your hand shall release that which is yours with your brother,

6) Read the Torah out loud at Sukkot so all can hear it being read.

We have linked you to the News Letter with the laws you are to read just by clicking the link above.

Deu 31:10  And Moses commanded them, saying: At the end of seven years, at the set time of the year of release, in the Feast of Tabernacles, 11  when all Israel has come to appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose, you shall read this Law before all Israel in their hearing. 12  Gather the people, men and women and the little ones, and your stranger who is within your gates, so that they may hear and that they may learn and fear Jehovah your God, and be careful to do all the words of this Law, 13and that their sons who have not known may hear and learn to fear Jehovah your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over Jordan to possess it.

And by now you should also have completed all your obligations to the widows, orphan, and Levites from your tithes for the 6th year that is now past.

Deu 14:28  At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase the same year, and shall lay it up inside your gates. 29  And the Levite, because he has no part nor inheritance with you, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are inside your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied, so that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

Ask Yehovah to bless you for having completed this task and then ask Him to bless your efforts as you keep the Sabbatical year and keep your food safe from decay or flood or hydro blackouts and from scavengers like rodents. Ask Him to protect it and to bless you for keeping His commandments.

Deu 26:12  When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of your increase the third year, the year of tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow (that they may eat inside your gates and be filled), 13  then you shall say before Jehovah your God, I have brought away the holy things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me. I have not broken Your commandments, neither have I forgotten. 14  I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I putany of it away for unclean use, nor have I given of it for the dead. I have listened to the voice of Jehovah my God, and have done according to all that You have commanded me. 15  Look down from Your holy dwelling, from Heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, as You swore to our fathers, a land that flows with milk and honey. 16  Today Jehovah your God has commanded you to do these statutes and judgments. You therefore shall keep and do them with all your heart and with all your soul. 17  You have today said that Jehovah is your God, and that you would walk in His ways, and keep His statutes and His commandments and His judgments, and listen to His voice. 18  And Jehovah has taken you today to be His peculiar people, as He has promised you, and to keep all His commandments, 19 and to make you high above all nations which He has made, in praise and in name and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to Jehovah your God, even as He has spoken.

May Yehovah bless each and every one of you for keeping the Sabbatical year commandment and breaking the curses that are upon our nations because we have not kept them in the past.

“Sabbatical Year Letters”

This is from our little home fellowship up in Durham Ontario. They as a fellowship are keeping the Sabbatical year. Lunch time snacks do present a challenge. This is how they are doing.

Hi Joe

Yes, at sabbath, we don’t have the fancy stuff to eat anymore, It’s sabbatical dandelion salad with chick peas, beef, and John brings perogies.  Rhubarb dessert is always good, but Dennis is allergic to it he thinks he is.  Margaret made  a stuffing with beef dish that really sticks to your ribs.

As for the garden it is growing high and tall, the grass is almost as tall as me, and a good crop.  I’m tempted to let the cattle in there, but then they’d pee and poo all over my dandelions.

As for the cattle, they can’t believe they got the run of all the fields, their having a hay day.  They first looked at me as if “Are you sure we’re allowed in here”.  They had a very perplexed look.  Now they just love going wherever they darn well please.

The farmer I always worked for helping him bring in crops, is having a struggle with getting help to help him.  I’m keeping busy doing other things like helping a guy in a shop, fixing and repairing equipment, and old drill presses.

I feel like a lazy bum at times, but have been helping out at Bible for Missions tagging clothing, and in the men’s clothing dept.  They’re always needing volunteers.

Anyway, better go and cut the weeds.

Bless You Joe

It’s always good reading your newsletters.

Bonnie

Our next letter is from Australia. This person makes me laugh. She has asked many hard questions as she wrestled to learn the Sabbatical year teachings. And she is one of those people I look forward to meeting in the future. Here is her report on how they are doing after the first quarter of the Shemitah year.

Shalum Joseph, Thank you for your encouraging newsletter. It’s taken me a while but finally here’s a Shemitah report from Brisbane. If I’ve said something wrong below, please use it to teach us. Thanks 🙂 I had intended to make it all pretty with photos etc but I have 4 Uni assessments due this Sunday. Thanks for your teaching and encouragement of us newbies. J Yahuah be with you and those you love.

Shemitah Report from Brisbane July 2016

We began the Shemitah year on March 10, 2016 and immediately noticed a change in the weather. Brisbane is hot most of the year round and in the 13+ years that we have lived here we’ve noticed each year that the seasons change from summer to winter and back again suddenly. This year was no different and it happened the week of March 10-16.

Because there was confusion regarding whether the Barley was abib or not we were particularly interested in the reports coming out about abib’ness and to note the weather in Brisbane and were there any signs here that would indicate what was happening in Israel as far as seasonal change goes and thereby be a second witness to the new moon as seen from Australia. (In the event that we one day lose our ability to get information from Israel; we in the diaspora down under, not using the Jewish calendar, need to learn to observe the ‘signs and seasons’ for ourselves.) Newton’s third law says ‘For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.’ We think this is actually Yahuah’s law and how He designed our world, just take a look at Leviticus 26 and you’ll quickly see this law being applied to our ancestors and their descendants today.

That being said we decided to set our calendar for the year; marking March 10, 2016 as new years day, year 5852 from the creation of Adam.  This was the first time we had ever set a date on a new calendar. This is our first year of being observant of Yahuah’s appointments. Thank you to those reading this that had a hand in teaching us about this way of life.  We have a big journey ahead and pray Yahuah’s Will may be done.

We made the decision to observe the Land Rest at the end of September 2015. This gave us 4 months to prepare. We made a list of everything we thought we needed, created a spreadsheet and calculated the quantities and prices for 18 months. We then bought a 650L chest freezer, reorganized cupboards and set about purchasing and storing. During that time, we spent every Sunday in the garden preparing the ground and planting seedlings and heritage seeds of tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, broccoli, basil, carrots and so many more. We loved this project and have really enjoyed watching what happens in the garden.

From March 10 we’ve been noticing the garden change from growing and blooming to producing seed and dying off.  The straw bales we planted into have decomposed to the point of collapse but the watering system is still in place. Seeds are falling and springing up again. Tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and snow peas have self-sown and are either springing up again or are fruiting.  Every time we go to the garden to forage we find something we can use.  We feel very blessed!

Having said that not everything in the garden flourished as we had hoped. Yahuah’s soldiers took care of approximately 10% of the potential food. White moth caterpillars devastated the broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage, ants got most of the strawberries, crickets mowed down almost all of the capsicum seedlings and the crows along with the grasshoppers and fat locusts ate all the corn. We’ve also lost two shrubs (non edible). For some reason they just turned their toes up and died. (More room to plant edibles next year).

On the beneficial insect side though, we have lots of bees and ladybugs. We’ve also noticed soldier flies. General flies and fruit-flies are in abundance and taking care of the decomposing fruits and vegetables plus the organic waste we compost on the garden; a way of giving back to Yahuah, that which we don’t use.

We bought a bag of ‘Beneficial Seeds’ from an online heritage seed shop and sowed them liberally throughout the garden during summer. Marigolds, cosmos, basil and many other flowing plants that we don’t know the names of have sprung up and the bees love them. HallaluYah!

We’ve noticed lots of toadstools and understand that’s a good sign; that the soil is breaking down as it’s designed to and good things are happening there.

Up to the three-month mark after the Shemitah began we were steadily cutting back on the things we can buy from the supermarket. Obviously the first to drop from the shopping list was fresh fruit and vegetables and fast food containing fresh produce e.g. Burgers, Chinese and Thai. Next was fresh bread and 7 day best before dates e.g. foods from the bakery. Our cut off for bread was Pentecost as that’s when Yahuah wants an offering of leavened bread made from the new harvest (Lev 23:15-17). I checked the use by date of flour at the supermarket and found it has a 12-month use by date, which coincides with the current harvest and Pentecost. We can no longer have a muffin or donut unless we bake them ourselves. And there’s no more fast food on those nights where you just want to say ‘I’m too tired to cook, let’s have takeaway’ … so Pauline’s been busy cooking, baking and freezing. We can now go to the freezer and pull out a delicious pre-prepared meal – just heat and eat. HalalluYah!

It’s come to our attention that there are people who have recently come to the understanding of the Shemitah and would like to be observant but feel it’s too late to prepare. We’ve been doing some research and found that there are many foods still available to purchase that were harvested prior to 10 March 2016.  Foods like ground coffee with 18 months to 2 year ‘best before’ dates, biscuits and packaged long life baked goods with 2 year ‘best before’ dates and tinned vegetables with 3+ year ‘best before’ dates; are all still ok to buy.

What we’ve found is that the major supermarkets like Woolworths and Coles sell the freshest foods. They sell the cream of the crop and bring it to you as soon as possible with the freshest ‘use by’ and ‘best before’ dates. Where as the independent grocers like IGA, T-Bones and ALDI sell food products with slighter earlier dates. Online grocers like Grocery Run sell foods that have the earliest dates (shortest shelf life). At T-Bones I found tinned new potatoes that are stamped with the processed date as well as a best before date. In this case the processed date was 2014. Clearly we can safely buy these potatoes. Finding information like that is a huge help. Of course care is needed in future to avoid products processed in 2016.

This is what we’ve been finding:

Major supermarkets have best before dates of 2018

Independent grocers have best before dates of 2017

Grocery Run (online) has best before dates of 2016

Aldi and Grocery Run have information on their websites regarding ‘best before’ dates. For anyone who is wanting to stock up – it’s not too late.  It’s a bit of legwork to find the information but for the dedicated it’s worth it. You may not be able to find everything you need as far as food goes but you can at least do something; which is better than nothing. Right?

Food Stock

We prepared well and are not feeling any adverse effects from doing this. We eat well and have not lost any weight at all LOL. Our health is good despite the usual rounds of flus and bugs that winter brings. Praise Yahuah He has not brought it to us. We’re unemployed and studying full-time at University. It is a huge financial blessing not having to go grocery shopping. We have everything we need. We only need to pick up milk, eggs, cheese, meat and paper goods. After doing the calculations we discovered we’d saved over $7000 in grocery spend per annum, simply because we bought in bulk and stored it.

Visitors to the garden

We’ve been telling people about our Shemitah garden as and when it comes up in conversation, this includes our neighbours. We have a catholic school a few doors away with parents parking in our street. I’ve had occasion to talk to a couple of mothers about the garden as I’ve answered their questions about what we’re doing. Passers by, walking their dogs, family and neighbours near and far have been invited to forage in our garden if they would like to … they are welcome.  So far we’ve had two visitors who have foraged in the garden.

So that’s our first four months of observing the land rest in Brisbane. The time has passed very quickly and the end of the year will be here before we know it.

Shalom to you all and may the peace of Yahuah be upon you and those you love.

Chris and Pauline

“Mourning, Complaining and Not Being in Control”

Back in the garden of Eden Yehovah had provide all the food man needed to eat. Yehovah gave to Adam and Eve every tree there was and they could eat of them all. There were no restrictions.

Gen 2:9  And out of the ground Jehovah God caused to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food. The tree of life also was in the middle of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Gen 3:1  Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which Jehovah God had made. And he said to the woman, Is it so that God has said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2  And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. 3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.

But Eve and then Adam lusted after the fruit of the one tree they were told not to touch. Why?

Gen 3:4  And the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die, 5  for God knows that in the day you eat of it, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as God, knowing good and evil. 6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasing to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make wise, she took of its fruit, and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

There is a theme that has developed and is repeated over and over down to our time now.

Yehovah has made food for us to eat. He made it and gave us a variety that was unbelievable. Just go to any well stocked fruit market and look at all the varieties of fruit you can eat from around the world. That was what Adam and Eve had to choose from. But they rejected all of that and lusted after this one tree that Yehovah said they could not have.

What they did was to take control of what they were going to eat. They no longer were going to allow Yehovah to dictate to them what they could not have. They would decide for themselves. So Yehovah said to them that they could have complete authority over the the food supply.

Gen 3:17  And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it! The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life. 18  It shall also bring forth thorns and thistles to you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. 19  In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

Instead of just going up to any tree and picking what we wanted when we wanted it, now we had to sweat and work the ground and fight the weeds and thistles our entire life. Boy, did we screw up. We now had to cut the wheat and grind it up and then bake it into bread before we ate it. This is the first processed food made by man. We could have been eating Yehovah made food from trees but we thought we knew better. And then Adam and Eve were put out of the garden that had all these trees and prevented from going back.

We have another example of this very same thing to look at. It took place during the Exodus.

Exo 16:1  And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the sons of Israel came into the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. 2  And the whole congregation of the sons of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. 3  And the sons of Israel said to them, O that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh-pots, when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us forth into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger. 4  Then Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain amount every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My Law or not. 5  And on the sixth day it shall happen, they shall prepare what they bring in. And it shall be twice as much as they gather day by day. 6  And Moses and Aaron said to all the sons of Israel, At evening, then you shall know that Jehovah has brought you out from the land of Egypt. 7  And in the morning, then you shall see the glory of Jehovah. For He hears your murmurings against Jehovah. And what are we, that you murmur against us? 8  And Moses said, You will see when Jehovah shall give you flesh to eat in the evening and bread to the full in the morning, when Jehovah hears your murmurings which you murmur against Him. And what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against Jehovah. 9  And Moses spoke to Aaron, Say to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, Come near before Jehovah. For He has heard your murmurings. 10  And it happened as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, they turned toward the wilderness. And behold! The glory of Jehovah appeared in the cloud! 11  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 12  I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel. Speak to them, saying, You shall eat flesh at evening, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am Jehovah your God. 13  And it happened at evening, the quails came up and covered the camp. And in the morning the dew lay all around the host. 14  And when the layer of dew had gone up, behold, there was a small round thing upon the face of the wilderness, small as the hoar-frost upon the ground. 15  And when the sons of Israel saw, they said each one to his brother, What is that? For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, This is the bread which Jehovah has given you to eat. 16  This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded: Each man gather of it according to his eating, an omer for a head, according to the number of your souls. Each one shall take for those who are in his camp. 17  And the sons of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, and some less. 18  And when they measured with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little lacked nothing. They gathered each one according to his eating. 19  And Moses said, Let no man leave of it until the morning. 20  But they did not listen to Moses, but some of them left of it until the morning. And it became rotten with maggots, and stank. And Moses was angry with them. 21  And they gathered it every morning, each man according to his eating. And when the sun became hot, it melted. 22  And it happened, on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. 23  And he said to them, This is that which Jehovah has said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy sabbath to Jehovah. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil. And that which remains over, lay up for you to be kept until the morning. 24  And they laid it up until the morning, as Moses said. And it did not stink, neither was there any worm in it. 25  And Moses said, Eat that today. For today is a sabbath to Jehovah. Today you shall not find it in the field. 26  Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the sabbath, in it there shall be none. 27  And it happened some of the people went out on the seventh day in order to gather. And they did not find any28  And Jehovah said to Moses, How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My Laws? 29  See, because Jehovah has given you the sabbath, therefore He gives you the bread of two days on the sixth day. Each one stay in his place. Let not any one go out of his place on the seventh day. 30  So the people rested on the seventh day. 31  And the house of Israel called the name of it Manna. And it was like coriander seed, white. And the taste of it was like wafers with honey. 32  And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded: Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations, so that you may see the bread with which I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt. 33  And Moses said to Aaron, Take a pot and put an omer full of manna in it, and lay it up before Jehovah, to be kept for your generations. 34  As Jehovah commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. 35  And the sons of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to a land in which people lived. They ate manna until they came into the borders of the land of Canaan. 36  And an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

In the Garden we rejected the food Yehovah had given to us and were put out of the garden. Now in the Exodus, we are once again being given this Yehovah made food that we called manna and Yehovah also gave us meat to eat. We left Egypt in a hurry and ran out of food very quickly and Yehovah steps in to give us what we needed to survive the wilderness. Bread made in heaven.

There is an oxymoron taking place here. We left the garden to get our own food and here we are going into the wilderness eating the food Yehovah has given us. Instead of a garden we are in the wilderness. We had to sweat to get our bread back then and now Yehovah is giving it to us from heaven. And it tasted like honey on wafers. I have bread that I buy that tastes like honey. I love it. I have now used up my supply of this bread and must wait until the Sabbatical year is over to get more.

There is another oxymoron to point out. When Adam and Eve were put out of the Garden of Eden, two angels were put there to prevent them from returning. Now in the wilderness the nation of Israel was following two angels that guarded the Ark and it was that Ark that went before them to lead them into the Promised Land. In the very near future we will have two Witnesses who will seek vengeance upon the Beast for the slaughter of the children of Israel as they are brought back into the Land of Israel once again. We are told this in Revelation.

Rev 6:10  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Until when, Master, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?

In Numbers 10 we read about how Israel had completed the Ark and the Tabernacle and were given instructions on who was to do what and the order of the camp and the way things should be done. It was all good. And then in Numbers 11 it goes bad again.

Num 11:1  And the people were evil, as those complaining in the ears of Jehovah. And Jehovah heard, and His anger was kindled. And the fire of Jehovah burned among them and devoured in the outermost parts of the camp. 2  And the people cried to Moses. And when Moses prayed to Jehovah, the fire was put out. 3  And he called the name of the place Taberah, because the fire of Jehovah burned among them. 4  And the mixed multitude in their midst lusted with great lust. And the sons of Israel also turned and wept, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? 5  We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic. 6  But now our soul is dried away; there is nothing at all besides this manna before our eyes. 7  And the manna was like coriander seed, and the color of it was like the color of bdellium. 8  The people went around and gathered, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked in pans, and made cakes of it. And the taste of it was like the taste of fresh oil. 9  And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it. 10  Then Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent. And the anger of Jehovah was kindled greatly. Moses also was displeased. 11  And Moses said to Jehovah, Why have You afflicted Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, so that You lay the burden of all this people upon me? 12  Have I conceived all this people? Did I bring them forth, that You should say to me, Bear them in your bosom like a nursing father carries the sucking child, to the land which You swore to their fathers? 13  From where should I get flesh to give to all this people? For they weep to me, saying, Give us flesh that we may eat. 14  I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me. 15  And if You are going to part this way with me, I beg You to kill me at once, if I have found favor in Your sight, and let me not see my misery. 16  And Jehovah said to Moses, Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and the officers over them. And bring them to the tabernacle of the congregation so that they may stand there with you. 17  And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take of the spirit on you, and will put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you so that you do not bear it yourself alone. 18  And say to the people, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat flesh. For you have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat, for it was well with us in Egypt? Therefore Jehovah will give you flesh, and you shall eat. 19  You shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days. 20  Even a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it is hateful to you, because you have despised Jehovah among you, and have wept before Him, saying, Why did we come out of Egypt? 21  And Moses said, The people among whom I am are six hundred thousand footmen. And You have said, I will give them flesh so that they may eat a whole month! 22  Shall the flocks and the herds be killed for them, to be enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be enough for them? 23  And Jehovah said to Moses, Has Jehovah’s hand become short? You shall see now whether or not My word shall come to pass to you. 24  And Moses went out and told the people the words of Jehovah, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them all around the tabernacle. 25  And Jehovah came down in a cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit on him and gave it to the seventy elders. And it happened when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. But they never did so again. 26  But two of the men stayed in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other was Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. And they were of those who were written, but did not go out to the tabernacle. And they prophesied in the camp. 27  And a young man ran and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp. 28  And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, make them cease. 29  And Moses said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? Would God that all Jehovah’s people were prophets, that Jehovah would put His Spirit upon them! 30  And Moses went into the camp, he and the elders of Israel. 31  And a wind went forth from Jehovah. And it cut off quails from the sea and let them fall by the camp, about a day’s journey on this side, and about a day’s journey on the other side, all around the camp, and about two cubits high upon the face of the earth. 32  And the people stood up all that day and all night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails. And he that gathered least gathered ten homers. And they spread them out for themselves all around the camp. 33  And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of Jehovah was kindled against the people, and Jehovah struck the people with a very great plague. 34  And he called the name of that place Graves of Lust, because there they buried the people that lusted. 35  And the people pulled up stakes from the Graves of Lust to Hazeroth, and stayed at Hazeroth.

Just like Eve in the garden the people of Israel rejected the food Yehovah had given them. They were sick and tired of the “BREAD FROM HEAVEN” and wanted more meat. They had murmured about the lack of food when they left Egypt and Yehovah provided them with food, He gave them manna and quail. Now they murmur against Yehovah about the monotony of the manna, the very food He supplied. It started with the mixed multitudes and spread to Israel.

What is going on here? These people are rejecting the bread given to them by Yehovah. Adam and Eve rejected the fruit Yehovah had provided and they died. This whole generation of Israel is about to be cursed and all of them will die. What is going on here?

Let us read carefully what is being told to us.

Num 11:1  And the people were evil, as those complaining in the ears of Jehovah.

The word for complaining is from the Hebrew word for mourning.

H596   ‘a?nan  aw-nan’

A primitive root; to mourn, that is, complain: – complain.

The people were as if they were mourning. Why were they mourning? They had food given to them by Yehovah. They were just 11 days walk away from the Land of Israel. A land flowing in milk and honey. They were following the Cloud of Yehovah and the Ark with the cherubim on it. They were out of Egypt for almost a year and a half now. What were they mourning about? Why were they grieving?

We are told in the very next few verses.

Num 11:4  And the mixed multitude in their midst lusted with great lust.

Look at the word that is translated wept in verse 4. It can also mean to complain or to mourn.

H1058    ba?ka?h   baw-kaw’

A primitive root; to weep; generally to bemoan: – X at all, bewail, complain, make lamentation, X more, mourn, X sore, X with tears, weep.

The things they were mourning, the things they were weeping over, the things they were complaining about are stated in verse 5. All of these things come from under the ground or under the water. All the things Yehovah was giving to them came from above. The bread of heaven and the quail. But they mourned because they had no onions or fish or leeks.

The expression they ‘lusted with great lust” is telling you they desired a desire. This is what they were mourning. More so than the vegetables, it was this desire they were mourning over.

Every need was taken care of by Yehovah. They lacked nothing. What is really going on here? The people wanted control over their food. Look at what they were doing to the manna.

8  The people went around and gathered, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked in pans, and made cakes of it.

All they had to do was pick it up and eat it. It taste like honey. But no, they wanted to process it and grind it and bake it into something else. Yehovah had already prepared the food for them and yet they wanted to process it more. Why? They wanted control over their food just like they did back in the garden. Adam and Eve wanted control over the food they would eat. In both cases this led to their expulsion from the land or the garden and their death.

They said it was better in the land of Egypt than with Yehovah.

18  And say to the people, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat flesh. For you have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat, for it was well with us in Egypt?

They forget the slavery, they forgot the first born that were slaughtered by Pharaoh. They had selective memories. How about you? Was it better before you learned about the Sabbath and Holy Days? Was it easier when you and your whole family kept Christmas together and Easter with the great meal as a large family? Was it more fun going out Friday and Saturday evenings to the parties you used to attend? Was it better for you in Egypt?

Israel in the wilderness was as if they were in the womb of Yehovah. They were being born into the Nation, but they had not yet the land so Yehovah nourished them just as he did in the Garden. This word gar den can also be read as unfinished, like a baby is not yet finished in the womb and needs to be taken care of. Adam and Eve needed that care from Yehovah. In both cases we have rejected that care and wanted to have control over our own affairs and our own future.

Here we are on the doorstep of the 7th Millennium. About to come into the land and be ruled over by King David, many in Israel are again rejecting the nourishing that Yehovah wants to provide. Like a baby in the womb, if we go out too soon we can die because we have not developed all that we need to do before being born.

So what are we to do? It seems rather obvious but to many it is not obvious at all.

I have been talking this whole time about Lev 26. Choose life, choose the Tree of Life, Choose to obey Yehovah.

Lev 26:3  If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and do them, 4  then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

But most of the world, and even those who call themselves Messianic or even Jewish, choose not to obey Yehovah. They have, of their own accord, chosen death.

Lev 26:14  But if you will not listen to Me, and will not do all these commandments, 15  and if you shall despise My statutes, or if your soul hates My judgments, so that you will not do all My commandments, so that you break My covenant; 16  I will also do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, consumption, and burning fever, consuming the eyes and causing sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

If you will walk in my Sabbaths, my Holy Days and my Shemitah and Yobel Years then you shall live and have abundance. If you will obey then you shall have Life. If you walk in Yehovah’s ways then He will walk with you.

Lev 26:12  And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people.

Now let us look at the words Yehshua said in John and compare them to those things we have now just shared with you.

Joh 6:22  The following day, the crowd standing on the other side of the sea had seen that there was no other little boat there except that one into which His disciples had entered, and when they saw that Jesus did not go with His disciples into the little boat, but that His disciples had gone away alone, 23  (however, other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they ate the loaves, the Lord having given thanks), 24  therefore, when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves also entered into the boats and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus. 25  And when they had found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, Rabbi, when did you come here? 26  Jesus answered them and said, Truly, truly, I say to you, You seek Me not because you saw the miracles, but because you ate the loaves and were filled. 27  Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for that food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. For God the Father sealed Him.

Yehshua is talking about the two trees in this statement. The Tree of Life is the one we should be seeking after. But these people came not for the tree of life but for the food from the ground.

Joh 6:28  Then they said to Him, What shall we do that we might work the works of God? 29  Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He has sent.

Yehshua is Emmanuel, or God with us. Yehshua is Yehovah with us. The Torah is Yehovah. It is what makes up His being.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Yehshua is about to explain something to the people which we have just been looking at above. But first lets look at Revelation and see something else.

Rev 10:1  And I saw another mighty angel coming down out of the heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. 2  And he had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the earth. 3  And he cried with a loud voice, like a lion roaring. And when he had cried, seven thunders spoke their sounds. 4  And when the seven thunders spoke their sounds, I was about to write. And I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me, Seal up what things the seven thunders spoke, and do not write these things. 5  And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the earth lifted his hand to the heaven, 6  and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there should no longer be time. 7  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he will begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He has declared to His servants the prophets. 8  And the voice which I heard from Heaven spoke to me again, and said, Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth. 9  And I went to the angel and said to him, Give me the little book. And he said to me, Take it and eat it up, and it will make your belly bitter, but it will be sweet as honey in your mouth. 10  And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it up. And it was sweet as honey in my mouth, and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was made bitter. 11  And he said to me, You must prophesy again before many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.

The little book is the Torah. It is the Tree of Life and it tastes as sweet as honey. But our own lusting, our own mourning for things we do not have, our own seeking for control, this is the bitterness in our stomachs.

Heb_4:12  For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

But we can learn more in Ezekiel. Read what he is told by Yehovah and notice what is written on the scroll.

Eze 2:1  And He said to me, Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you. 2  And the Spirit entered into me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet, so that I heard Him who spoke to me. 3  And He said to me, Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to the nations, the rebelling ones who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have sinned against Me, to this day. 4  And the sons are stiff of face, and hard of heart. I am sending you to them; and you shall say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah. 5  And they, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear; for they are a rebellious house. Yea, they shall know that there has been a prophet among them. 6  And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them, and of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, nor frightened by their faces, though they are a rebellious house. 7  And you shall speak My Words to them, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear, for they are rebellious. 8  But you, son of man, hear what I am saying to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you. 9  And I looked, and behold! A hand was extended to me; and lo, a roll of a book was in it. 10  And He spread it before me; and it was written on the face and the back. And written on it were weepings, and mourning, and woe.

Do your own word study now and look up each of those words. Lamenting. The people are lamenting what they no longer have. Again, go back to the Exodus and what were the people murmuring about? No, they were lamenting and mourning what they no longer had. Let’s get back to John.

Joh 6:30  Therefore they said to Him, What sign do you show then, so that we may see and believe you? What do you work? 31  Our fathers ate the manna in the desert, as it is written, “He gave them bread from Heaven to eat.” 32  Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses did not give you that bread from Heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from Heaven. 33  For the bread of God is He who comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world. 34  Then they said to him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35  And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes on Me shall never thirst. 36  But I said to you that you also have seen Me and do not believe. 37All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will in no way cast out. 38  For I came down from Heaven, not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me. 39  And this is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all which He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again at the last day. 40  And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes on Him should have everlasting life. And I will raise him up at the last day. 41  Then the Jews murmured about Him, because He said, I am the bread which came down from Heaven. 42  And they said, Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How now does this One say, I have come down from Heaven? 43Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Do not murmur with one another.

Joh 6:44  No one can come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me draw him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:45  It is written in the Prophets, “And they shall all be taught of God.” Therefore everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to Me. 46  Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God, He has seen the Father. 47  Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me has everlasting life. 48  I am the Bread of life. 49  Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and died. 50  This is the Bread which comes down from Heaven, so that a man may eat of it and not die. 51  I am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he shall live forever. And truly the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52  Then the Jews argued with one another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53  Then Jesus says to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you do not have life in yourselves. 54  Whoever partakes of My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55  For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56  He who partakes of My flesh and drinks My blood dwells in Me, and I in him. 57  As the living Father has sent Me, and I live through the Father, so he who partakes of Me, even he shall live by Me. 58  This is the Bread which came down from Heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; he who partakes of this Bread shall live forever. 59  He said these things in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.

You have now been given the word, the Torah, which tastes like honey in the mouth. Many react with great joy at first and then after a while when the reality sets in then the bitterness of the stomach takes place as you are about to read in the next verses.

John 6:60  Then when they had heard, many of His disciples said, This is a hard saying, who can hear it? 61  But knowing in Himself that His disciples murmured about it, Jesus said to them, Does this offend you? 62Then what if you should see the Son of Man going up where He was before? 63  It is the Spirit that makes alive, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life. 64But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who is the one betraying Him. 65  And He said, Because of this I said to you that no one can come to Me unless it was given to him from My Father. 66From this time many of His disciples went back into the things behind, and walked no more with Him.

They mourned and returned to the way things used to be in the exact same way the Israelites did as we have read in Numbers after the Exodus as they were on their way to the Promised Land.

Joh 6:67  Then Jesus said to the Twelve, Do you also wish to go away? 68  Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the Words of eternal life. 69  And we have believed and have known that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

The Torah is the Bread of Life. It is the Tree of Life. Eat of it and you will live. But people do not want to put their faith in this book. They want control over everything in their lives. So they begin to process the Torah in the same way they processed the manna. It was given to them and they did not have to do anything, but they wanted to control their food so they boiled it and beat it. We have synagogues and churches and various evangelicals all processing the Word, the Torah, and selecting their own bits or parts of it. They claim to have faith but they do not obey. They talk the talk saying ‘thees and thous’ but they will not obey and walk the walk. Just eat the manna and do not process it. Just do what it says. They will not obey Yehshua although they say they all love Him.

Joh 14:15  If you love Me, keep My commandments.

1Jn 2:3  And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments. 4  He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5  But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him. 6  He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk even as He walked.

1Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments. 3  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.

Just eat the manna and do not process it by beating it down and breaking it up into little pieces that suit your own doctrines. Stop creating doctrines out of one verse or one word found somewhere in the bible. Eat the whole thing.

One more example before we wrap this up.

Gen 19:12  And the men said to Lot, Have you anyone here besides yourself? Bring your sons-in-law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whatever you have in the city, bring them out of this place. 13  For we will destroy this place because great is the cry of them before the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah has sent us to destroy it. 14  And Lot went out and spoke with his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Get up and get out of this place, for Jehovah will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked to his sons-in-law. 15  And when the dawn rose up, then the angels hurried Lot, saying, Rise up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city. 16  And he lingered, the angel laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters (Jehovah being merciful to him), and they brought him forth and set him outside the city. 17  And it happened when they brought him outside, He said, Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, nor stay in all the plain. Escape to the mountain lest you be consumed. 18  And Lot said to them, Oh no, Lord, 19  please now, Your servant has found grace in Your sight, and You have magnified Your mercy, which You have shown to me in saving my life. And I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me and I die. 20  Behold now, this city is near to flee to, and it is a little one. Oh let me escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. 21  And He said to him, See, I have accepted you concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. 22  Hurry and escape there! For I cannot do anything till you have come there. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. 23  The sun had risen upon the earth, and Lot entered into Zoar. 24  Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire, from Jehovah out of the heavens. 25  And He overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. 26  But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. 27  And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before Jehovah. 28  And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the lands of the plain, and saw, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace. 29  And when God destroyed the cities of the plain, it happened that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot lived.

In this story we read that Lot was saved for the sake of Abraham. And as the angels are saving Lot, Lot is trying to take control of the situation and dictate where he is to flee to. The family members did not believe Lot and would not leave. They all died. And this is the reason Lot’s wife looked back and then she died. Look at the this word ‘looked’.

H5027    na?bat?    naw-bat’

A primitive root; to scan, that is, look intently at; by implication to regard with pleasure, favor or care: – (cause to) behold, consider, look (down), regard, have respect, see.

Like Israel who looked back at the things they no longer had, the leeks and onions and fish, Lot’s wife longed for her family and the life she had. In both cases Israel and Lot’s wife did not value the fact that Yehovah had just saved their lives and had sent angels or performed great miracles right in front of them. No, they mourned what was lost and did not celebrate what Yehovah had done and was doing with them. People mourn the tree of good and evil when they do not have it. Yehovah has saved you from these false teachings that come from that tree disguised as good.

You have been called by Yehovah to understand the Sabbath and Holy Days and the proper times to keep them as well as the Sabbatical years and many of the prophecies. In understanding the Holy Days you now know the plan of salvation and the order in which Yehovah is going to raise everyone back to life. And yet many of you mourn the loss of loved ones. Your husband, your wife, your parents, your children. I am not saying to not mourn, I am saying do not mourn forever in a constant state of depression. Yehovah has called you and revealed His truths to you. You aught to rejoice, because you should know they will be made alive in a very short while. When you mourn you show Yehovah you do not believe Him, that you do not trust Him and His will for your life.

Others mourn what they left behind like Lot’s wife. Your gardens, your work you did on your homes, the loss of friends and family because of this way of life you now chose to follow. Some mourn the fact they can’t party Friday evening or take part in sports events on Sabbath. Some are mourning they have no garden to work this year or fresh vegetables because it is the Sabbatical year. WhY?

Out of 7 billion people on this earth Yehovah chose you to reveal these truths to. You! He could have left you in the dark and you would have been ignorant of His truths. Yet you choose to remember what is gone and do not rejoice in what He has blessed you with and how He is working with you to get you ready for rulership in His Kingdom.

When Israel did this that whole generation died in the wilderness. What will become of you if you continue not to see what Yehovah is doing with you in these last days?

Many of us are about to lose family members like Lot did. Do not try to take control of how Yehovah is going to save you. Pray He saves you, period. Pray for your families. They may come or like Lot’s family laugh at you and then die. When Aaron’s two boys were killed Yehovah would not allow him to mourn. Why? Death is of the tree of good and evil. Yehovah is of the tree of life. Think about it. Yehovah can make them alive and will do that in the days in front of us. Satan will never do that.

Rejoice in what is being given to you. Cry a tear when loved ones die, like saying goodbye at the airport, but rejoice in the time you had with them and will soon have again because Yehovah said so. To do otherwise is not to believe in the things Yehovah has said. Choose the Tree of Life, the Manna from heaven and hold on to it. Eat it every day and stop breaking it apart and pounding it like dough into something it was not meant to be.

The ninth of the 5th month is just ahead of us this coming week. It should remind you that Israel, even with the huge clusters of grapes and the abundance they saw in the land, focused not on the bounty and good things but instead focused on the giants and the fortified forts. They did not focus on the fact that Yehovah said He was going to give it to them. They forgot the miracles that He did with the Egyptians less than 2 years before this. Yehovah had just destroyed the greatest army on the earth at that time. Now they are afraid of a few smaller cities that all feared the Egyptians. That whole generation then died. They all died and never got to see the Land of milk and honey that they were promised. The majority of those who entered the land never saw the miracles of the exodus. They had not yet be born.

What are you going to focus on, the things you lost or left behind or the glory that Yehovah has promised those who obey?

We are all about to lose our homes and our country. We are going to be taken back to Yehovah’s land. Do not mourn or complain about what you gave up. The 3 car garage, the flower gardens and fruit trees and shopping malls. Instead, think about your future home where you will live for over 1,000 years.

I am going to have a large farm with pure breed animals of many sheep and cattle and fowl. I will have orchards of fruit trees of every kind and many hired help to work with me tending to these things. And if this was not enough, I look forward to taking care of the planet or even the galaxy Yehovah is preparing for me. I can’t even imagine that. But to complain about and mourn over the things we have lost or do not have now after being shown the life we could soon be living,…..is not showing Yehovah our faith in Him to perform the things He said He would do with those of us who will obey Him.

Grab on and hold tight to the Tree of Life that this manna, this Torah that Yehovah has given to you.
