Do Not Add Too Torah, & Do Not Do as the Heathen Do

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom Brethren and happy New Moon day

I guess I should wish you all a happy Diwali which is the Indian Festival of Lights. We could send gifts and light candles and such other things.

Oops my bad, you don’t keep that pagan festival of lights. Well maybe I will wait and wish you a happy or Merry Christmas which is also known as the Festival of lights. Then we could send gifts and light candles and other traditions to celebrate this most biblical of holidays.

Oops again some of you no longer keep this pagan tradition either. After all we all know it comes from the worship of Nimrod, right? He was the light they paid homage to. Hence the Festival of lights. A false light much like Satan who comes as an Angel of light.

Many of you have dumped the pagan traditions of the Far East; many of you have dumped the pagan traditions of Christmas and have jumped head long into Judaism and are now going to be keeping the Festival of Lights called Chanukah. And because it is Jewish it must be OK, right??? You can give gifts and send out cards and light Chanukiahs and candles and Chanukah bushes that look just like the old Christmas trees. But because it is Jewish it is therefore Kosher and OK.

Wrong!!!

We are told in Lev 23 exactly what Holy Days we are to keep and Lev 23 does not mention Diwali, or Christmas or Chanukah or any other festival of lights. Yet millions will again this year try to justify their keeping of these pagan festivals which are nothing more than the worship of Nimrod.

Deu 4:2 “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it1, so as to guard the commands of ???? your Elohim which I am commanding you.

Deu 12:32 “All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it

Pro 30:6 Do not add to His Words1, Lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.

Rev 22:18 For I witness to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, Elohim shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the set-apart city, which are written in this Book.

You can read more about these pagan festival of lights in the article I did a couple of years ago about it. Read it and learn. CHANUKAH AND ITS PAGAN TRADTIONS

Did you not just learn at Sukkot; which is one of the Festivals told to you in Lev 23 that you are to keep; that during Sukkot Yehshua stood up and said, Joh 8:12 Therefore ????? spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but possess the light of life.”

Another ceremony of the Feast of Tabernacles was the Illumination of the Temple.

At the end of the first day of the feast, the priests and Levites went down to the Court of the Women. Four golden candlesticks were set up in the court with four golden bowls placed on them – and would be lit. The light emanating from the candlesticks was so bright that the Mishna says; “There was no courtyard in Jerusalem that was not lit up with the light” (Sukkah 5:3). The mood was very festive, people would dance well into the night holding torches and singing songs of praise to Yehovah. The meaning of the lights was to symbolize the Shekinah Glory of Yehovah that had once filled the Temple. Again this whole ceremony took on a new and greater meaning when Yehshua stood in the Temple (John 8:12) and declared that He was the Light of the world, for in Him dwelt all the fullness of the glory of Yehovah(Col 1:19). In Yehshua we see the fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles (John 1:14). Yehshua is God tabernacling among men. It is interesting to note that the word “dwelt” implies a temporary dwelling – a sukkah booth.

The last day of the Feast of Tabernacles is called so because it was on that day that King Solomon dedicated the Temple to Yehovah. It takes place on Tishri 22. An extraordinary event took place on the Last Great Day of the Feast Of Tabernacles. Let’s have a look at:

2Ch 7:1 And when Shelomoh had ended praying, fire came down from the heavens and consumed the burnt offering and the slaughterings. And the esteem of ???? filled the House. 2 And the priests were unable to enter the House of ????, because the esteem of ???? had filled the House of ????. 3 And all the children of Yisra’?l saw how the fire came down, and the esteem of ???? on the House, and they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and did obeisance and gave thanks to ????, saying, “For He is good, for His kindness is everlasting.”

Years later we see John explain about Yehshua entering the Temple on the Last Day of Tabernacles. John 7:37-38 Now on the last day, the great [day] of the feast, Yehshua stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”

2Co 4:6 For Elohim, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts for the enlightening of the knowledge of the esteem of Elohim in the face of ????? Messiah.

And while you are reading I also have an article for Christmas Called ARE YOU WORSHIPPING MOLECH, OR JUST KEEPING CHRISTMAS?

Rosh Chodesh Sameach!
Happy New Moon!

Nehemia Gordon
Jerusalem, Israel

All I was going to do this News letter was to report the New Moon. But….. the things people say to me just got me wound up and I have had to say these things.

There are some who are saying the Moon is what determines the Sabbath. These same people also say the first day is a non day. This means that on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th each month is the Sabbath. So now this evening the Moon was sighted, this according to them would be the first day and not a day to be counted. For them the second day is the Sabbath.

Brethren when these people approach you with all there long theories and circular arguments, just ask them to explain this.

Lev 23:10 “Speak to the children of Yisra’?l, and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 ‘And he shall wave the sheaf before ????, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it.

This wave offering is always done on the first day of the week. Sunday; the day after the weekly Sabbath.

They will argue this point. Then show them the next part of Lev.

Lev 23:15 ‘And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths. 16 ‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to ????.

You are to count from the Sunday, the first day of the week, 7 Sabbaths; until you arrive at the 49th day and then the day after the 7th Sabbath, the 49th day is the 50th day and is Pentecost Sunday.

The Lunar Sabbath people cannot answer this scripture to count to 50. So instead of throwing out thier theory, they avoid this scripture. What a shame.

When these Lunar Sabbatarians count they say that the 1st day and 30th day of each month are non days and do not exist. You do not count them.

So when you get to the end of the first month if there is a 30th day you do not count it, then the 1st day which comes next you also do not count, giving you two days in a row that according to them do not count, never existed.

When we come to the end of the second month again you have a potential 30th day and it too is followed by the 1st day, both of which do not count. And after this you will arrive at Pentecost.

But wait you have at least 2 days that you do not count and maybe even as many as 4 days that do not count. Yet scriptures says to count 7 Sabbaths. And then the day after the 7th Sabbath is the 50th day. Not 52 or 53 or 54.

Brethren do not be misled by those who profess to be telling you the truth of scriptures and are in fact leading you astray.

We have a number of articles on this subject for you to study out as well.

No doubt I will get a bunch of emails now condemning me for exposing these false teachings that many of you still hang on to for some unknown reason. When will you stop trying to fit Yehovah into the wrong teachings you brought with you, and drop them like the ugly sins they are and keep Torah and it alone.

Yehovah says, “Mal 3:6 “For I am ????, I shall not change1, and you, O sons of Ya?aqob?, shall not come to an end. Footnote: 1Jas. 1:17.

And again, the New Testament declares: “Heb 13:8 ????? Messiah is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Paul wrote 1Co 10:19 What then do I say? That an idol is of any value? Or that which is offered to idols is of any value? 20 No, but what the gentiles offer they offer to demons1 and not to Elohim, and I do not wish you to become sharers with demons. Footnote: 1Lev. 17:7 21 You are not able to drink the cup of the Master and the cup of demons, you are not able to partake of the table of the Master and of the table of demons. 22 Do we provoke the Master to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

Yet for all the warnings some of you still want your tree and traditions. Have you read Jeremiah lately?

Jer 10:1 Hear the word which ???? speaks to you, O house of Yisra’?l. 2 Thus said ????, “Do not learn the way of the gentiles,1 and do not be awed by the signs of the heavens, for the gentiles are awed by them.2 Footnotes: 1Lev. 18:3, Dt. 12:30 & 18:9, Ezek. 11:12 & 20:32, Eph. 4:17, 1 Peter 4:3. 2Dt. 4:19 & 17:3. 3 “For the prescribed customs of these peoples are worthless, for one cuts a tree from the forest, work for the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. 4 “They adorn it with silver and gold, they fasten it with nails and hammers so that it does not topple. 5 “They are like a rounded post, and they do not speak. They have to be carried, because they do not walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they do no evil, nor is it in them to do any good.”

Lev 18:3 ‘Do not do as they do in the land of Mitsrayim, where you dwelt. And do not do as they do in the land of Kena?an, where I am bringing you, and do not walk in their laws.4 ‘Do My right-rulings and guard My laws, to walk in them. I am ???? your Elohim.

Deu 12:29 “When ???? your Elohim does cut off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30 guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too.’1 Footnote: 1See also 18:9, Lev. 18:3, Jer.10:2, Ezek. 11:12 & 20:32, Eph. 4:17, and 1 Peter 4:331 “Do not do so to ???? your Elohim, for every abomination which ???? hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones.

Many fall for all sorts of false teachings. We all have come out of many of them. Some still hold on to some of those false ways. Others search and search looking for new truths and never put the truths they do learn into practice. And then they fall all kinds of conspiracy teachings or Lunar Sabbath teachings or any kind falsehood because they did not have a love of the truth and would not hold fast onto it.

2Th 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power and signs and wonders of falsehood, 10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, in order for them to be saved. 11 And for this reason Elohim sends them a working of delusion, for them to believe the falsehood,1 Footnote: 1Eze. 20:25, John 9:39, John 12:40, Acts 7:42, Rom. 1:24-28. 12 in order that all should be judged who did not believe the truth, but have delighted in the unrighteousness.

2Ti 3:1 But know this, that in the last days hard times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, thankless, wrong-doers, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, haters of good, 4 betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Elohim, 5 having a form of reverence1 but denying its power. And turn away from these! Footnote: 1See v. 13, Isa. 24:5-6, Mt. 24:12, Rom. 1:30-31, 2 Thess. 2:3-11. 6 For among them are those who creep into households and captivate silly women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Learn the truth and hang on to it for all your worth.

We will continue with our regular 3 ½ year Torah study cycles next week. I wanted to just have a break for a little longer, but too many wished me a happy Halloween and happy Diwali and it made me angry that they would not even consider keeping Sukkot.
