Counting the Weeks

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah, Get Ready

The world is changing so fast I am not able to keep up. The reports below are already outdated as I go to post this News Letter.

Here in Canada and the USA I strongly suspect from all I can gather that we are about to go into full-blown quarantine mode. This means everything is about to be shut down. Everyone except those essential workers will be required to stay at home and self quarantine for 30 and even 60 days.

I was at the bank tonight and they have reduced their hours of operation and are closing a number of the branches for the next month or two. Ford has closed all their plants. My company is about to close their doors.

This is not a conspiracy thing, this is Yehovah sending us a curse we deserve.

All the guys at work are talking about it, as well as everyone else and they are scared. But not one is repenting for not obeying Yehovah. No not one.

Some people are sending me pictures of their local stores with all the shelves empty.

So each of you take heed. Be forewarned. Fill up your cars and keep them full. Have extra gas in the garage just in case. Have enough food to last you for 30-60 days. Have some cash. Be ready and have your plans in place and then work your plans. But stop taking this lightly and start to prepare. Something Happened on the Last Day of Unleavened Bread

We held our 7th Day of Unleavened Bread this past Tuesday. We had a morning and afternoon service. I had a light subject to share and I just wanted to have a light day and let people socialize as we all are feeling the stress of the times we are in and for having Passover early this year.

Well, Something Happened on the Last Day of Unleavened Bread. A number of people wrote me to say how inspiring it was to be there. It was an emotional day for me and I almost cancelled the meetings for this day because I was so emotional. I am glad I did not. Yehovah took over.

When I was done presenting those things I wanted to cover which turned out to be more than just a light message. The brethren began to talk and wanted to have this as a weekly gathering on the Sabbath.

We had met for the foot-washing. We met again on Preparation Day at 9 AM when Yehshua was hung on the tree and at 3 PM when he was killed. We then met again at 9 AM and 3 PM Passover Day and then again on the 7th Day. And we just taught them the chronology of events in the order they happened. All of them are now on our YouTube channel under our Zoom Holy Day meetings.

We had about 30+ windows open and about 50 people at each session more or less. And they could ask questions along the way or after we turned the camera off. And just talk and get to know each other online. It was nice. But I was tired. There is a lot going in my life.

They began to ask me to do this each Sabbath. I objected as it was going to be too much work for me on top of all the other things I am trying to do and never get done. They then said that they wanted me to do this full time. This then led into a lively discussion and they began to form a committee to begin fundraising.

I was wondering what was going on here. But they wanted me to teach each Sabbath.

So, I told them the purpose of sightedmoon.com. It is to raise up teachers who can then go and teach others. Sightedmoon.com and or Joseph Dumond are not out to get a following. We are about teaching people the Torah and for them to obey and follow Yehovah. This has been our objective in Africa and in the Philippines and it is our objective here. We want to teach teachers to teach.

I have James, and Pauline and Jan helping me. Judith too. And I have worn each one out by the many demands I have placed upon them. And I told the group they cannot use any one of these people to do the things they are wanting to do. They agreed.

I said I could not do every Sabbath teaching and still go to work full time digging ditches. They agreed. I said I wanted the men to stand up and for them to begin to teach, one each week, rotating through a group of men over a couple of months. This way they can practice teaching to a real audience. And they have to teach. Not put us to sleep or tell us some stupid story. They must teach.

And they agreed. So we have a group of men that are now going to help me teach each week on Zoom. We also have a group of people who are going to help start fundraising.

So here is our first Zoom Meeting this Sabbath at 2 PM Eastern time. It will be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. And at this time of quarantine, this is the perfect way to fellowship. I do hope you all will come out and support the men as they strive to become better teachers and help you to grow in this walk. I will be there and I may step in from time to time.

So Sightedmoon.com, my baby that I have guarded, protected and nurtured since 2005 when it was born, just became an adult. There are a number of people doing things that I no longer have complete control over. A scary thought for me, but one that will help us grow this work in these last days around the world.

I hope you too will come and join us and take part and support what we are striving to do.

Joseph Dumond is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

On Shabbat I was given the final reports from Israel about hte Barley being ready for Wave Sheaf Day. Becca Biderman had gone back out on Thursday and picked some and then recorded it for me 24 hours later. It was ready to be parched and roasted and made into flour. It was indeed the first of the first fruits.

But this puts us all one month ahead of everyone else.

Read what we are told in Malachi

Mal 3:1  Behold, I will send My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And Jehovah, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Mal 3:2  But who can endure the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fuller’s soap.

Mal 3:3  And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may be offerers of a food offering in righteousness to Jehovah.

Mal 3:4  Then the food offering of Judah and Jerusalem shall be pleasing to Jehovah, as in the days of old and as in former years.

Mal 3:5  And I will come near you to judgment. And I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who extort from the hired laborer’s wages, and turning away the widow, and the orphan, the alien, and not fearing Me, says Jehovah of Hosts.

What does this mean that He is a refiners fire?

Refining Silver

Some time ago, a few ladies met in a certain city to read the scriptures, and make them the subject of conversation. While reading the third chapter of Malachi they came upon a remarkable expression in the third verse: “And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” One lady’s opinion was that is was intended to convey the view of the sanctifying influence of the grace of Christ. Then she proposed to visit a silversmith and report to them what he said on the subject.

She went accordingly and without telling the object of her errand, begged to know the process of refining silver, which he fully described to her. “But Sir” she said, “do you sit while the work of refining is going on?” “Oh, yes, madam,” replied the silversmith; “I must sit with my eye steadily fixed on the furnace, for if the time necessary for refining be exceeded in the slightest degree, the silver will be injured.”

The lady at once saw the beauty, and comfort too, of the expression, “He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” Christ sees it needful to put His children into a furnace; His eye is steadily intent on the work of purifying, and His wisdom and love are both engaged in the best manner for them. Their trials do not come at random; “the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”

As the lady was leaving the shop, the silversmith called her back, and said he had forgotten to mention that the only way that he knows when the process of purifying is complete when he sees his own image reflected in the silver
.

–Author Unknown

During my study of the refining process, I ran into a verse in Jeremiah 6. While reading this verse, I realized that not all silver will be refined. Some silver contains metals that cannot be removed with fire. The silver will refuse to let go of impurity. When that happens, the silver is rejected by the refiner, unable to be purified.

Jer 6:26  O daughter of my people, put on sackcloth, and wallow in ashes; make mourning for yourself, as for an only son, most bitter weeping; for the ravager shall suddenly come on us.

Jer 6:27  I have set you up an assayer, an examiner among My people, that you may know and try their way.

Jer 6:28  They are all grievous revolters, walking in slanders; they are bronze and iron; they are all corrupters.

Jer 6:29  The bellows are burned, the lead is melted by the fire; the refiner melts in vain; for the wicked are not plucked away.

Jer 6:30  Reprobate silver they call them, because Jehovah has rejected them.

Jeremiah was called to speak to the nation of Israel in a time when they were in complete disobedience to Yehovah. They were worshiping other gods, seeking help from ungodly nations and living life in an unholy manner.

They were refusing to be refined. They chose the dross over being made into the image of Yehovah. They chose the ways of the world around them.

If you take the time to look at the verses in the Bible that deal with the refinement of silver, you will know that Yehovah seeks the refinement of our hearts. He wants to purify us from the inside out, making us into His image.

What is the dross that people are not going to let go of, that they are still hanging on to?

A brother wrote me to ask why I was posting memes about Wave Sheaf and Passover and the counting of the Omer. I told him about the barley being Aviv. He did not agree with our assessment. I then told him what I am now about to tell you.

On Wednesday that we kept Passover the WHO declared a world pandemic. On the very same day. For years now I have been telling you that on Shavuot 2020 the start of the 2300 Day prophecy in Daniel 8 would begin. Yehovah is now taking control and He has changed everything I have been saying about these end times by 30 days.

Becca said repeatedly how spring looked like it was being rushed. Now Yehovah has advanced the timing of the end of this age by 30 days. This totally caught me off guard. I was not expecting this at all. And yet the barley was Aviv. I could not deny it.

The day before Passover I saw a blood moon at dawn as I went to work.

Then, on Passover WHO makes this Pandemic announcement.

Then Becca went back out specifically on my request and that of two other groups on Thursday to check the barley. And she only reported to us her findings. That is for the three of us.

I received her report and watched them on Shabbat and sent them out last Sabbath as soon as I had completed watching them. I was completely confident in our decision to have Passover last week based on the first reports back in February. Now more so with the follow-up.

But then right after Becca reported this to me, news came out about Israel shutting down everything so that only non-essential personal would be out and about for the next 5 weeks.

Israel to shut down all business activity for 5 weeks to combat coronavirus

Netanyahu set to announce a series of drastic steps meant to fight spread of COVID-19, which include closure of all ‘non-essential’ workplaces; supermarkets, pharmacies to stay open

Israel is set to essentially shut down business activity in the country for at least five weeks as the government steps up measures to combat the coronavirus outbreak, sources said Saturday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was to announce on Saturday evening a series of drastic steps meant to fight the outbreak of COVID-19, as the number of cases in Israel nears 200.

In a special press conference, was to be held by Netanyahu, Health Minister Yaakov Litzman and Health Ministry Director-General Moshe Bar-Siman-Tov, it is set to be announced that all places of employment deemed “non-essential” will be closed starting Monday and until after the Passover holiday.

The National Emergency Authority is in charge of determining the spheres of business which will be considered essential, including hospitals, medical laboratories, health clinics, pharmacies and supermarkets as well as security.

In addition, every director general of a government ministry will have to define who among their staff is “essential.” Ynet has also learned that the Finance Ministry is in talks with many large companies in Israel in order to receive an estimate of their “essential” workforce.

Furthermore, the closure of the education sector, which so far included schools and universities, will be extended to kindergartens, special education and boarding schools.

Israeli military has also tightened its guidelines for the soldiers, with the army calling on all troops away for the weekend to return on Sunday morning to their bases and be prepared for a month-long stay away from home.

It still remains unclear whether public transport operations will be halted.

Will anyone be able to go out for all the other groups to check on the barley? It seems as though Yehovah kept this window for Becca open just long enough for us to make sure we are doing it right. WOW!!!

Here in Canada, our Prime Minister’s wife has just been diagnosed with the disease and he is in self-quarantine. All our schools are now closed until April or September. The USA President Trump has shut down all flights to and from Europe, the new hotbed of the coronavirus. All cruise ships are stopped until this summer. Canada and the USA have closed their borders.

The President also declared in the USA a National State of Emergency.

He then declared wave sheaf day a national day of Prayer. The timing of these things is stunning. But if the people do not repent then why should we pray for them?

All of these things did not go past me unnoticed.

Sabbath, I also watched the Exodus story once again this year. And each year I get more excited and tears form in my eyes as I watch them leave Egypt and as the Red Sea opens.

Egypt today is the European Union, soon to be Empire. This plague that has descended on them comes as we keep Passover. Italy is shut down. Across the Middle East and Africa at this time are biblical sized locust swarms. And before that we had what some reports said was armageddon sized wildfires in Richter BC., Fort McMurry Alberta,  California and Gatlinburg Tennessee. These all preceded the Apocalyptic wildfires of Australia. In recent weeks we have had unprecedented crashes of the world stock markets.

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM one huge news event right after another. You barely have time to catch your breath before the next major earth shattering event takes hold.

I was planning to be on Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia starting last Friday. But things began to become too unpredictable for me and I cancelled a few weeks ago. Others did not. I was looking forward to being at the split rock and the Red Sea Crossing site during this week of Passover. But it was not to be. Friday I learned the tour itself was cancelled with our tour guide forced to stay in Turkey due to all the countries shutting down their borders. Those leaving Jordan to drive to Saudi Arabia were turned away. The border closed. Now Israel is closing down the entire country.

As this curse of the coronavirus developed and spread I have heard many of you brethren state as fact this was a man-made plague. Others that “The pandemic is a deep state op
” It is a red flag or staged event to depopulate the earth. I do not have time to quote all the ridiculous thoughts that some of you have put forward and believe. But I do know this. You are mixing the Torah of Yehovah with your other gods of gossip and false information.

Read again what Malachi says;

The words sorcerers, adulterers and false swearers can also be those who are rebellious and idolater and speak lying oaths. When you feed at the tree of good and evil the tree of false truths you are worshiping Satan and not Yehovah. When you spread this crap about deep state ops and false flags you are working for Satan. You need to stop it all right now. Time is up. Either you stop or you will be told I never knew you, you worker of iniquity, you workers spreading lies. Inequity is another word for being lawless. How you say, by spreading lies and gossip and false truths.

Every time I tell people about the curses of Yehovah many of them come back with it is just a CIA plot to overthrow the world and have us serve this one world government that the pope or the Rothchilds and some secret group that only they know about are creating in the back rooms. You are no different than a sorcerer or one who is rebellious spreading lies in the camp of Yehovah.

Stop right now from doing this and let Yehovah purify the dross out of you so that He can see Himself in you. Stop holding on to the dross that is going to get you rejected and thrown out. Teach the Torah and stop reading from the tree of lies and false and misleading deceptions.

May Yehovah bless each of you with His truths and only His truths which come from Yehovah himself. Emails this Week

As we all try and share this end-time message people find many ways not to listen. I am extremely frustrated when I see the many hours I and others have spent trying to promote and invite people to come and learn through our web site, books and videos. Exactly how to do this we do not know, so we do the best we can trying to rewrite things to attract a different group of people.

This week my very own Dad wrote to me to share a message he shared with many other people. He never shares anything and for him to share this shows just how excited he was to see it. It was a post about a woman psychic who had predicted the coronavirus in 2020. She wrote about it in 2008. He then posted a picture of the cover of her book and the page with the sentence circled in red for us to read.

I was really pissed off. Then I saw the same post by many on Facebook.

For 15 years I have been telling people about the curse of Lev 26 and when to expect them. Showing them the historical events that also proved these things were to be watched for. I have written James Dobson, Fox News and many Christian Radio and News shows trying to explain this to them. We have had millions come to our web sites and watch our videos. I even have people upset with us for posting so much on the coronavirus on Facebook. But now that a psychic claims to have predicted this event, the world jumps all over her. The fact that we have been calling for this since 2005 goes unnoticed and many of you have not told a single person about our site or videos or that we have been warning people of this for 15 years.

Crickets.

I must remind each of you what your are told in Ezekiel.

Ezekiel Is Israel’s Watchman

Eze 33:1  And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

Eze 33:2  Son of man, speak to the sons of your people, and say to them: When I bring the sword on it, on a land, and take one man from the people of the land, of their borders, and set him for their watchman;

Eze 33:3  if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people,

Eze 33:4  then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword does come and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head.

Eze 33:5  He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning. His blood shall be on himself. But he who takes warning shall deliver his soul.

Eze 33:6  But if the watchman sees the sword coming, and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned; if the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity. But I will require his blood at the watchman’s hand.

Eze 33:7  And you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore you shall hear the Word from My mouth, and warn them from Me.

So last week I vented my frustration about this with Pauline. She then began to tell people of all those things we have said that have come to pass, and then she wrote about those things we have said that are still to come. And people got upset with her.

In the Philippines I am considered a prophet because of the things I said to them which they themselves saw come true. Pauline wrote something in which she said I was a prophet and someone objected to this. Our Friend Ross in Cambodia wrote the following response to this objection.

Greetings TJ,

You raise some good points. And it’s obvious that you have a genuine concern for the ministry and the volunteers. You spoke with respect and love so, I want to address your concerns both for your sake and for the sake of the work of SightedMoon.

My name is Ross. I’m no prophet and I have no authority to speak for SightedMoon. And I am not particularly knowledgeable about the Bible. But, as you can see from Pauline’s post, Joseph has been very accurate in his warnings. His books and newsletters demonstrate a sincere commitment to thorough research and presentation of factual teachings. So, I try to help get his message out to as many people as possible. I truly believe that people need to know.

I have to admit that it gets frustrating at times; particularly when the vast majority of people simply turn a blind eye. They just don’t want to hear that God is judging the world. And it gets downright disturbing when people attack those of us who simply want to warn them. Just as an example, I have a lifelong friend who won’t speak to me anymore because he thinks I’m “crazy” for telling him that disease, famine and war are bearing down on us. I can’t blame him. Who wants to hear that kind of @#$@? (His words, not mine.)

I’ve never met Joseph Dumond, but over the past 5 years I’ve come to know him through his website and books. Thankfully, in the few years that I’ve been trying to share his message, I haven’t had very many negative experiences. Though, it saddens me that my family and friends don’t accept the facts. And I am often deeply concerned for the millions of people who own a Bible but never open it. Ican only imagine what it must be like for Joseph. He’s been saying these things since 2005 and to date, – he hasn’t been wrong. And if you’ve been reading his newsletters, you know that he is constantly being attacked for his teachings. I would not have the fortitude to take that.

I have never known Joseph to call himself a prophet. He doesn’t claim to have visions or that the Most High has spoken to him. He simply studies what Yehovah has given all of us, His word. Joseph works in construction during the day and must spend at least as much time doing research and writing when he gets home. But given his dedication and the accuracy of his predictions, it’s not surprising that some people think of him as a prophet. I spent a few weeks in the Philippines in 2018 and many of the people I met there referred to him as such. We, in the west are not comfortable with that title. Prophets these days are usually just fortune tellers who waive the Bible around. That would not be an accurate description of Joseph.

You raise a good question though,- do we need more prophets after Yehshua? A true prophet is not so much concerned with predicting the future as he is in urging Yehovah’s people to repent, return to Yehovah and obey the Commandments. Typically, his predictions are given as warnings for failure to follow Torah. Yehshua fulfilled Torah and we are expected to do so as well. But, are we doing that? Do we need someone to urge us to repentance? Looking at the insanity in the world today,- I think yes!

Yet, I personally don’t think of Joseph as a prophet. The prophecies he speaks of were given long ago. I see him as a righteous servant of Yehovah and the fact that he shares knowledge that no one else is talking about says more about Yehovah than it does about Joseph. And Pauline, Jan, Judith, Steve and all the other volunteers are also just servants in pursuit of Yehovah’s will, but I think we all recognize that Yehovah has blessed Joseph with greater insight and tenacity to seek out Truth.

You mention the perception of SM being a cult. I can definitely see how it might come across that way,- particularly when the focus appears to be on the leader. Though, I think in this case, it’s more about trying to convince people to take the warnings seriously rather than promoting a prophet. It’s difficult to know how to communicate the serious information Joseph has uncovered without making it seem like we put him on a pedestal;- and without fear mongering. On one hand there’s a sense of urgency to warn people and on the other, a profound frustration and grief in being ignored. In our efforts to overcome resistance we may seem to be overzealous for a man. But, for me, there’s no cult here;- the message is of paramount importance and I think that’s true for all of us. Nevertheless, we may need to focus on better ways of communicating what we have come to understand.

I’m 72 and I’ve only been using social media for a couple of years and the only reason I got into it was to get involved in this work. I grew up in a time when we had to write letters to one another. In those days we took our time and were very careful to say exactly what we meant. We used full sentences, proper punctuation and we tried to use precise words to make sure we were not misunderstood. This instant social media communication system we have today is great but, it’s so easy to speak without giving enough time and consideration to how we might be received. One’s emotions can often get in the way, as well and that can hinder successful communications.

A few months after I started going to SightedMoon I sent Joseph an email. Like you, I took exception to his way of expressing himself, which didn’t seem very humble to me. I basically accused him of making it all about him. But, I wasn’t very kind about it,- as you have been. I was going through a rough time and didn’t check my words before clicking the SEND button. Joseph was quick to respond and he made it perfectly clear that he didn’t care what I thought of him,- personally. I instantly saw that he was, and is, all about the message. When I realized that,- what I had previously seen as pride or self-importance disappeared and I was left humbled.

I had been to many sites and groups and I left them all because they had made a religion unto their leader,- SDA, JW, RCG, LCG, PCG, etc. I got out of bowing down to a pope and I am not going do so to anyone who claims that kind of authority,- ever again. To be honest, if Joseph Dumond had ever tried to put himself on a pedestal, I would have turned my back and never looked back. Instead, he just keeps on digging ditches by day, then teaching Torah and interpreting prophecy by night. He’s been doing that for 15 years. To me, that’s astounding! But, it took me some time to understand and fully appreciate that he takes the following passage very seriously:

Eze 33:8 TS2009 “When I say to the wrong, ‘O wrong one, you shall certainly die!’ and you have not spoken to warn the wrong from his way, that wrong one shall die in his crookedness, and his blood I require at your hand.”

I have to admire him for the stand he has taken but, if his warnings prove to be false, I will be delighted for the world. Though I believe that we are well past that now. Things are happening just as he has been saying they would. So, I also take Yehovah’s admonition to Ezekiel very seriously. There’s no time to waste!

I’m sure you know that no one involved with SightedMoon is on the payroll. They are all volunteers. And I can’t believe that Joseph takes a single cent out of his ministry. In fact, I would wager that he puts his own, hard earned money into it. I’m certain that he has given away hundreds of copies of his books for free. I say that because he has allowed me to pass out his latest book to anyone interested.

With no professional staff and only a handful of volunteers,- well you can see the result. It doesn’t always come across as well as one might want. FB shut down the SightedMoon page. So, we just keep doing what we can as individual volunteers; stumbling along as best we can.

Pauline sent me the post you objected to and asked what I thought of it. I didn’t think saying “Prophet” was a good idea, but she works with a lot of Filipinos and that’s normal for them. So, I didn’t take the time to properly critique what she had written. I was excited to see a concise list of verifiable predictions because I felt that it is exactly what people need in order to begin taking these teachings seriously. Although, I do understand your sensibilities and your concerns for the work. No one likes a braggart.
(Though,- Donald Trump seems to be getting away with it quite well. Lol)

We are all anxious because we see what is coming. People are going to suffer and die. We are doing our best to raise awareness. And, of course the ministry needs money to pay for the cost of doing the work. So, promotion, promotion, promotion! What else can we do?

We are open to new ideas; which is one of the reasons I wanted to communicate with you. How would you awaken our brothers and sisters whose eyes and ears are closed? How can we get more people sharing this information? Your honest input may be just what is called for right now.

I do hope you will forgive the repetitiveness and not block SM volunteers on FB. I pray that you will continue to benefit and be blessed from the work we are trying to do.

Yehshua commanded us to love one another. In these last days, that seems more important than ever. Thank you for expressing your concerns and advice with love and respect. Open dialogue such as this is essential. So, if you have any further issues or suggestions please let me know.

May you be blessed in Yehovah. ?
Shalom

This past Sabbath my family was talking. They have a private chat room on Facebook to share family things together. I do not comment very often there. It is mostly pictures and family events. This last Shabbat they were talking about how there was no toilet paper and the long line ups at Costco and other stores. And they were making light of the whole situation and the coronavirus. My wife stocked up on toilet paper and food this past week. She did so grudgingly at my request. It was as if she would have to admit I was right.

Something they said prompted me to write the following to them all. Some do not talk to me. Others dismiss me as crazy. Many of you know what I am talking about. So I am going to share this with you to let you know what I deal with and struggle with in my own family as do many of you.

Today is the Sabbath. I have been keeping the Sabbath since 1982. 38 years now. I have also kept the Holy Days of Lev 23 now for the same time. I have been ridiculed and despised for doing this even by my own family. The ones I love the most and care for above all others. For the past 15 years, I have been teaching around the world about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years of Lev 25. I show people how they show us end-time events and prophecies. I have now written 5 books about this very subject. You have those books. I show people how in each of the past 6 Jubilee Cycles starting in the 3rd Sabbatical cycle that pestilence is sent each time. It has happened consistently for the past 300 years or 6 Jubilee Cycle. This current Jubilee cycle began in 1996. So the third Sabbatical Cycle began in 2010. Then for 15 years, the world has to deal with that pestilence. So if we start in 2010 and count 15 years then we end up in 2024. Many assume this current corona virus is going to blow over in a month or two. Many people are dying in China, South Korea Italy and Iran. We are not impervious to this. The other thing I am showing people is that we are now in the 4th Sabbatical cycle. That began in 2017. In this cycles is a 4th curse. It is added to those that preceded it. Let me tell you the first 4. again the Jubilee cycle begins in 1996. The First Sabbatical cycle is 7 years and goes to 2002. This first curse is Terror. God is going to send Terror on us for not obeying Him. There is a list of things that happened during this time. 9/11 being but one of them. The second curse is then added to the first in the 2nd Sabbatical Cycle. I will make your skies like iron and your field like brass. This is extreme weather and heat. We have had the hottest years on record since this time. Our weather is now F5 and super storms. The third curse is pestilence and it began in the third Sabbatical Cycle in the year 2010. We had SARS, MERS, H1N1, H5N1, Ebola. But none of them took the world by storm like Corona has. The 4th curse is to come in the 4th Sabbatical Cycle. That again began in 2017. The 4th curse is pestilence and war and famine. So there are two more stages of this curse that are coming. The 5th curse is captivity and starvation. Like I said you can blow this all off as that from a crazy man. Or you can read your bibles and believe what they are saying. I look at my kids the same way you look at your children. You do not want to see anything happen to them and you want the best for them and this is what you work for. But you cannot stop this plague from coming nor from whom it is going to take. Only God can do that and if you are not obeying Him then you are just playing Russian roulette. I am telling you this because I love you. But you all want to avoid talking to me about this. It does not change the facts that each of these curses that you can read in Lev 26 yourselves has dominated the nightly news since 9/11. The war of Terror, the war in Afghanistan, And Iraq, Global warming, Sustainable development and now Coronavirus and that includes the stock market crashes this past couple of weeks. You can ignore what I am saying. but you all must deal with these prophecies in real life whether or not you believe in them. To escape them and for your children to escape them and be protected you must obey God. I love you. If I did not love you I would not risk the backlash that this is going to bring on me from some of you. But I love you enough to say this no matter what.

So what happened next?

One made light of it and joked about buying bullets and gas.

My wife sent a note saying Good Bye. I know what that means.

She would later on tell me she wants us to split apart. She is going to go her way and I go mine. 42 years of marriage gone just like that.

My daughter would then go on to tell me to go to hell.

But the same daughter-in-law who would not stop at anything that got in her way, and many things did, to prevent her from having her two sons, my grandsons circumcised on the 8th day. What she did to get this done was phenomenal. She wrote to me privately to ask how to keep the Sabbath and Holy Days. So we have been talking about those things. I can only pray she continues to learn and draw closer to Yehovah. I have prayed without end for my grandchildren to serve under King David in the millennial kingdom. Until this past Sabbath I did not know if Yehovah was even listening to my prayers about my family.

I am sharing this so that each of you and all of you do not stop praying for your families. Yehovah is listening and watching what we do and what we do not do for His Kingdom. Plead like you are that lady before the unrighteous judge. The same judge who granted her request just to shut her up. Fill Yehovah’s ears with your prayers for your family and for this work. Counting the Omer someone is surely going to ask you or say it publicly, where are we commanded to count the omer?

When you are asked this then you will take them to Lev 23:15

“You shall count seven full weeks from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering. You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then you shall present a grain offering of new grain to the Lord.

Here you are told that there are different methods of counting the 50 days. The first was to count 7 full weeks and the second was to count out the full 50 days.

Again in Deut 16:9 you are told to again COUNT. It is a commandment to count the days and or weeks. And you start from the time when the sickle is first put to the Barley grain which was done after sunset after the weekly Saturday Sabbath. This counting began with Wave Sheaf Day.

“You shall count seven weeks. Begin to count the seven weeks from the time the sickle is first put to the standing grain.

According to some the commandment ‘and you shall count for yourselves fifty days’ means to simply observe the 50th day as Shavuot while others actually declare out loud the number on each of the fifty days. A medieval Karaite Jewish practice combines two different methods of declaring the daily count. The first method is the counting of seven weeks. Each day, the number of the week and the number of the day in the week are declared. So for example, the first day is ‘first day of the first week’. The second counting method used is an overall number for each day. In this method Day one is ‘the first day’ and Day 25 is ‘the twenty-fifth day’. These two methods are used to satisfy the commandment to count seven weeks (Deuteronomy 16:9) as well as the commandment to count fifty days (Leviticus 23:16).

During each one of these days of Counting the Omer to Pentecost, Jewish tradition has developed around reading the Psalms on certain days. I find this to be very beneficial. It is customary that following the “Counting of the Omer,” one recites Psalm 67, for according to tradition, that Psalm has forty-nine words, which corresponds perfectly to the forty-nine days of the “Counting of the Omer.”

And as you meditate on and do these readings, which includes the Counting of the Omer command, keep in mind what this symbolizes. It is the counting of the Sabbatical and Jubilee Years and where we are in that cycle. We are in the twenty-fourth year in 2019, which corresponds to the twenty-fourth day of the “Counting of the Omer.”

Wave Sheaf day is so exciting to understand and so amazing to believe because it forebodes the time when we will be changed and raised up. If you want to call this the Rapture then I can except that if you are obeying Yehovah. If you’re not obeying Yehovah and you think the laws are done away with, then you will not be in this resurrection or raptured. You will be told to be gone you workers of lawlessness, I never knew you.

We will speak more about this as Pentecost draws closer. The Feast of Oaths, the 8th day and the Jubilee year.

When you count from the Wave offering of the barley to Pentecost it is called the counting of the Omer. You are to count each day up to the 50th day. This Sunday, March 31, 2019, is day eight. We are to count the Omer. And in all my haste the past couple of weeks, I forgot to mention this to you.

As I said, this is the most special time of year for me and in years past I couldn’t put my finger on exactly why, other than it had something to do with Yehshua’s resurrection and waiting in anticipation for Shavuot. While I cannot put into words how my understanding of this has grown, all I can say is that “it clicked!” and “now I get it!”, at least more than before. Understanding follows obedience. So OBEY and learn. You learn by doing as we are told in James.

James 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

All 50 days and each of the Psalms can be found at the back of our book Remembering the Sabbatical year of 2016

Day Thirty | Yehovah & His People (Part I) Psalm 78:1-16

Psa 78:1   My people, give ear to my Torah, Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
Psa 78:2  I open my mouth in a parable; I utter riddles of old,
Psa 78:3  Which we have heard and known, For our fathers have related them to us.
Psa 78:4  We do not hide them from their children, Relating to the generation to come the praises of Yehovah, And His strength and His wonders which He has done.
Psa 78:5  For He raised a witness in Yacaav, And set a Torah in Yisral, Which He commanded our fathers, To teach them to their children;
Psa 78:6  That it might be known to a generation to come, To children who would be born, To rise up and relate them to their children,
Psa 78:7  And place their trust in Elohim, And not forget the works of ?l, But watch over His commands,
Psa 78:8  And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation which did not prepare its heart, Whose spirit was not steadfast to ?l.
Psa 78:9  The children of Ephrayim, armed bowmen, Turned back in the day of battle.
Psa 78:10  They did not guard the covenant of Elohim, And they refused to walk in His Torah,
Psa 78:11  And they forgot His deeds And His wonders which He had shown them.
Psa 78:12  He did wonders in the sight of their fathers, In the land of Mitsrayim, in the field of Tso?an.
Psa 78:13  He split the sea and caused them to pass through, And He made the waters stand up like a heap,
Psa 78:14  And led them with the cloud by day, And all the night with a light of fire.
Psa 78:15  He split the rocks in the wilderness, And made them drink, as from the great depths,
Psa 78:16  And brought forth streams from the rock, And caused waters to come down as rivers.

Today is the third day of the fifth week of seven weeks. Today is the thirty-first day of the counting of fifty days from the day of the waving of the Omer on the morrow after the Sabbath.

Psa 67:1  Elohim does favour us and bless us, Cause His face to shine upon us. Selah.
Psa 67:2  For Your way to be known on earth, Your deliverance among all nations.
Psa 67:3  Let the peoples praise You, O Elohim, Let all the peoples praise You.
Psa 67:4  Let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You judge the peoples uprightly, And lead the nations on earth. Selah.
Psa 67:5  Let the peoples praise You, O Elohim; Let all the peoples praise You.
Psa 67:6  The earth shall give her increase; Elohim, our own Elohim, blesses us!
Psa 67:7  Elohim blesses us! And all the ends of the earth fear Him!

Day Thirty-One | Yehovah & His People (Part II) Psalm 78:17-31

Psa 78:17  Yet they sinned still more against Him To rebel against the Most High in the desert.
Psa 78:18  And they tried ?l in their heart By asking food according to their desire.
Psa 78:19  And they spoke against Elohim. They said, “Is ?l able to set a table in the wilderness?
Psa 78:20  “Look, He struck the rock, So that the waters gushed out, And the streams overflowed. Is He able to give bread also? Would He provide meat for His people?”
Psa 78:21  Therefore Yehovah heard, and He was wroth; So a fire was kindled against Ya?aqo?, And displeasure also came up against Yisra’?l,
Psa 78:22  Because they did not believe in Elohim, Neither did they trust in His deliverance.
Psa 78:23  Yet He had commanded the clouds above, And opened the doors of the heavens,
Psa 78:24  And He rained down manna on them to eat, And He gave them the grain of the heavens.
Psa 78:25  Men ate bread of the mighty; He sent them provisions to satisfaction.
Psa 78:26  He made an east wind blow in the heavens; And by His power He brought in the south wind.
Psa 78:27  And He rained meat on them like the dust, And winged birds like the sand of the seas,
Psa 78:28  And let them fall in the midst of His camp, All around His Dwelling Place.
Psa 78:29  So they ate and were completely satisfied, For He brought them what they desired.
Psa 78:30  They had not turned away from their desire, Their food was still in their mouths,
Psa 78:31  When the wrath of Elohim came against them, And He killed among their fat ones, And He struck down the choice ones of Yisra’?l.

Psa 67:7  Elohim blesses us! And all the ends of the earth fear Him!

Day Thirty-Two | Yehovah & His People (Part III) Psalm 78:32-39

Psa 78:32  In spite of all this they still sinned, And did not believe in His wonders.
Psa 78:33  So He ended their days in a breath, And their years in trouble.
Psa 78:34  When He killed them, then they sought Him, And they returned and did earnestly seek ?l.
Psa 78:35  And they remembered that Elohim was their rock, And the Most High ?l their redeemer.
Psa 78:36  But they flattered Him with their mouth, And they lied to Him with their tongue,
Psa 78:37  For their heart was not steadfast with Him, And they were not true to His covenant.
Psa 78:38  But He, the Compassionate One, Pardoned crookedness, And did not destroy them. And many a time He turned His displeasure away, And did not stir up all His wrath.
Psa 78:39  For He remembered that they were but flesh, A passing breath that does not return.

Today is the fifth day of the fifth week of seven weeks. Today is the thirty-third day of the counting of fifty days from the day of the waving of the Omer on the morrow after the Sabbath.

Psa 67:7  Elohim blesses us! And all the ends of the earth fear Him!

Day Thirty-Three | Yehovah & His People (Part IV) | Psalm 78:40-55

Psa 78:40  How often they rebelled against Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert!
Psa 78:41  And again and again they tried ?l, And provoked the Set-apart One of Yisra’?l.
Psa 78:42  They did not remember His hand, The day when He redeemed them from the adversary,
Psa 78:43  How He worked His signs in Mitsrayim, And His wonders in the field of Tso?an.
Psa 78:44  He turned their rivers into blood, And they could not drink their streams.
Psa 78:45  He sent among them swarms of flies which devoured them, And frogs which destroyed them,
Psa 78:46  And gave their crops to the caterpillar, And their labour to the locust.
Psa 78:47  He destroyed their vines with hail, And their sycamore trees with frost,
Psa 78:48  And gave their beasts over to the hail, And their livestock to bolts of fire.
Psa 78:49  He sent on them the burning of His displeasure, Wrath, and rage, and distress, A deputation of messengers of evils.
Psa 78:50  He made a path for His displeasure; He did not spare their being from death, But gave their life over to the plague.
Psa 78:51  And He struck all the first-born in Mitsrayim, The first-fruits of strength in the tents of ?am,
Psa 78:52  Then made His own people go forth like sheep, And led them in the wilderness like a flock.
Psa 78:53  And He led them on safely, And they did not fear, But the sea covered their enemies.
Psa 78:54  And He brought them to the border of His set-apart place, This mountain which His right hand had gained,
Psa 78:55  And drove out nations before them, And allotted them a measured inheritance, And made the tribes of Yisra’?l dwell in their tents.

Day Thirty-Four | Yehovah & His People (Part V) Psalm 78:56-72

Psa 78:56  Yet they tried and rebelled Against the Most High Elohim, And did not guard His witnesses,
Psa 78:57  But they turned back And acted treacherously like their fathers; They twisted like a treacherous bow.
Psa 78:58  For they enraged Him with their high places, And moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.
Psa 78:59  When Elohim heard this, He was wroth, And greatly despised Yisra’el,
Psa 78:60  And He left the Dwelling Place of Shiloh, The Tent which He had set up among men.
Psa 78:61  And He gave His strength into captivity, And His comeliness into the hand of the adversary.
Psa 78:62  And He gave His people over to the sword, And He was wroth with His inheritance.
Psa 78:63  His young men were consumed by fire, And His maidens were not praised.
Psa 78:64  His priests fell by the sword, And their widows could not weep.
Psa 78:65  Then Yehovah awoke as one asleep, As a mighty man who shouts because of wine.
Psa 78:66  And He struck His adversaries backward, He put them to an everlasting reproach.
Psa 78:67  Then He rejected the tent of Yoseph, And did not choose the tribe of Ephrayim,
Psa 78:68  But chose the tribe of Yehudah, Mount Tsiyon, which He loved.
Psa 78:69  And He built His set-apart place like the heights, Like the earth He founded it forever.
Psa 78:70  And He chose Dawi? His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;
Psa 78:71  He brought him in from tending the ewes, To shepherd Yacaqob His people, And Yisra’?l His inheritance.
Psa 78:72  And he shepherded them According to the integrity of his heart, And led them by the skill of his hands.

We are almost at the end of this last Jubilee cycle.

Now we have completed our first week of counting the Omer. Why is this so important? What was the meaning of those symbols Yehshua did at the Last Supper meal and then in reality on the Tree?

I would like to share with you one chapter from our book, The 2300 Days of Hell, which I hope will help you to understand the importance of these 7 weeks of counting the Omer.

Chapter 5 | What does “Weeks” Mean?

24 “Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and for your set-apart city, to put an end to the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover crookedness, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the Most Set-apart. 25 “Know, then, and understand: from the going forth of the command to restore and build Yerushalayim until Messiah the Prince is seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again, with streets and a trench, but in times of affliction. 26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the set-apart place. And the end of it is with a flood. And wastes are decreed, and fighting until the end. 27 “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste1.” Footnote: 1Mt. 24:15. (Daniel 9:24-27)

Here we are now 207 pages into this subject of Daniel’s 70 weeks and we have only covered the first 7 words of this prophecy.

“Seventy weeks are decreed for your people”

We have explained who Daniel’s people are. They are all of Israel and we have explained who they are today. They are the descendants of the Celtic people and they are the Nation of Britain and the British Commonwealth as well as the United States of America and the State of Israel. It is extremely important to understand who this prophecy is speaking about.

We have now shown you that the 70 Weeks is not 70 X 7 which would give you a total of 490 years. People have been using this information for every time of trial for over the past 2000 years and it has never proven true. Nor will it for any current theories trying to use it for the conclusion of the so-called “gap theory”.

So what is the answer to this riddle?

It is actually very simple and it comes from a proper understanding of the words spoken. And yet it is extremely deep in the meaning of this word. Prepare to have the tent pegs of your mind stretched as we examine this word “weeks” for clarity.

Here is this first sentence again with the Stong’s Hebrew notes.

Dan 9:24 SeventyH7657 weeksH7620 are determinedH2852 uponH5921 thy peopleH5971

The word Seventy is very easy to understand and it is;

H7657 shi ym shib-eem’
Multiple of H7651; seventy: – seventy, threescore and ten (+ -teen).

Now it is the word “weeks” that is the focus of this chapter. When we look it up in Strong’s Concordance we have a few words to investigate.

H7620 shaw-boo’-ah, shaw-boo’-ah, sheb-oo-aw’
Properly passive participle of H7650 as a denominative of H7651; literally sevened, that is, a week (specifically of years): – seven, week.

H7650 shaw-bah’
A primitive root; properly to be complete, but used only as a denominative from H7651; to seven oneself, that is, swear (as if by repeating a declaration seven times): – adjure, charge (by an oath, with an oath), feed to the full [by mistake for H7646], take an oath, X straitly, (cause to, make to) swear.

H7646 saw-bah’, saw-bay’-ah
A primitive root; to sate, that is, fill to satisfaction (literally or figuratively): – have enough, fill (full, self, with), be (to the) full (of), have plenty of, be satiate, satisfy (with), suffice, be weary of.

H7651 sheh’-bah, shib-aw’
From H7650; a primitive cardinal number; seven (as the sacred full one); also (adverbially) seven times; by implication a week; by extension an indefinite number: – (+ by) seven ([-fold], -s, [-teen, -teenth], -th, times). Compare H7658.

H7658 shib-aw-naw’
Prolonged for the masculine of H7651; seven: – seven.

This is the definition of this word we call “weeks”. Before I say anything to influence your thoughts lets first look where else this same word was used in the bible. We have 19 times it is used. Eleven of these times we have a clear example of the word.

H7620 shaw-boo’-ah, shaw-boo’-ah, sheb-oo-aw’

Our first example in Exodus tells us it is speaking of the “Feast of Weeks”.

22“And perform the Festival of Weeks for yourself, of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year. (Exodus 34:22)

Our second verse that this word “weeks” is found in Leviticus 12:5 and it does not match the line of use we are talking about here but the next verse in Numbers does and it too is talking about the Feast of Weeks.

26 ‘And on the day of the first-fruits, when you bring a new grain offering to YHWH at your Festival of Weeks, you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. (Numbers 28:26)

The fourth through the sixth verses that are given to us from our word search for the word “weeks” as found in Deuteronomy and they too are speaking about this Feast of “Weeks”.

9 “Count seven weeks for yourself. Begin to count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain. 10 “And you shall perform the Festival of Weeks to Yehovah your Elohim, according to the voluntary offering from your hand, which you give as Yehovah your Elohim blesses you. (Deuteronomy 16:9-10)

Our seventh usage of the word “weeks” is again in Deuteronomy and yet again in 2 Chronicles. Are you seeing a pattern here?

16 “Three times a year all your males appear before Yehovah your Elohim in the place which He chooses: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and at the Festival of Weeks, and at the Festival of Booths. And none should appear before Yehovah empty-handed, (Deuteronomy 16:16)

13 even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the command of Mosheh, for the Sabbaths, and for the New Moons, and for the appointed times three times a year: the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Booths. (2 Chronicles 8:13)

Up until this point, all of the examples given to us are talking about the Feast of Weeks. And then the next Scriptures given to us are the ones we are in question of. The 70 Weeks of Daniel 9. Out of 15 verses with the word ‘weeks’ in them we have 11 of them describing to us the Feast of Weeks with five of those occurrences taking place in the very set of scriptures we are examining; that is Daniel 9:24-26.

(Daniel 9:24-26)

We also have four more verses where the word “weeks” is found just in the singular and they are found in two additional places in Daniel 9:27; again, part of the texts we are examining. This is very remarkable.

As many of you may not know what the “Feast of Weeks” is, then we need to go back to Lev. 23 where we are told each of the Festivals we are to keep in Yehovah’s Holy Appointed time calendar.

5 ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, is the Passover to Yehovah. 6 ‘And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to Yehovah – seven days you eat unleavened bread. 7 ‘On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. 8 ‘And you shall bring an offering made by fire to Yehovah for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.’ ” 9 And Yehovah spoke to Mosheh, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Yisra’el, and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 ‘And he shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it. 12 ‘And on that day when you wave the sheaf, you shall prepare a male lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a burnt offering to Yehovah, 13 and its grain offering: two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to Yehovah?, a sweet fragrance, and its drink offering: one-fourth of a hin of wine. 14 ‘And you do not eat bread or roasted grain or fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your Elohim – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 15 ‘And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths. 16 ‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to Yehovah. 17 ‘Bring from your dwellings for a wave offering two loaves of bread, of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour they are, baked with leaven, first-fruits to Yehovah. 18 ‘And besides the bread, you shall bring seven lambs a year old, perfect ones, and one young bull and two rams. They are a burnt offering to Yehovah, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet fragrance to Yehovah. 19 ‘And you shall offer one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old, as a peace offering. 20 ‘And the priest shall wave them, besides the bread of the first-fruits, as a wave offering before Yehovah, besides the two lambs. They are set-apart to Yehovah for the priest. 21 ‘And on this same day you shall proclaim a set-apart gathering for yourselves, you do no servile work on it – a law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. (Leviticus 23:5-21)
You are commanded to keep the Passover. Then, from the Sunday during the Days of Unleavened Bread, you are to count 7 Sabbaths and after the 7th Sabbath you are to count to the 50th day.

(Leviticus 23:15-16)

Christianity knows this to be Pentecost; Pentecost Sunday to be exact. It is also known in Hebrew as Shavuot.

This feast marks two important events, occurring on the same calendar day but separated in time by many centuries. The feast may be called by the Hebrew Shavuot (occurring seven weeks after an event) or by the anglicized Greek Pentecost (on the fiftieth day after an event). (Shavuot is the plural of shabua. The Jewish Feast of Pentecost, or Festival of Weeks, is called in Hebrew, Shavuot.)

The word “weeks” is the plural of the word “week”. Our word in Daniel 9:24 is the plural word and in Hebrew this word is Shabua and the plural for Shabua is Shabuot or Shavuot; the “v” and “b” sounding the same.

Shavuot or Shabuoth
n. the Hebrew name for Pentecost

It is quite fair, then, to say that our verse is saying Seventy Shavuot. We read in Jeremiah something that is of interest that was not noted earlier.

24 ‘And they do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear Yehovah our Elohim, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He guards for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.” (Jeremiah 5:24)

Here in Jeremiah, this word “weeks” is called SHAVUOT.

So instead of saying “Seventy weeks are decreed for your people” we could say “Seventy Shavuot are decreed for your people”.

We are going to take a slight detour to get an even deeper understanding of what Shavuot is all about. To some people, it is the day when Yehovah gave the Ten Commandments to Moses and the Nation of Israel and this is true. (Exodus 19-20) To most Christians, this is the day the Holy Spirit was given to the Apostles in Acts 2 and this is also true but what most people do not realize is what this day means to Yehovah. We have three names for this Feast of Shavuot also known as the Feast of Pentecost.

1. Chag haKatzir- Festival of the Harvest ( Exodus 23:16)
2. Yom Habikkurim- Day of Firstfruits (Numbers 28:26)
3. Chag haShavuot- Festival of Weeks (Duet. 16:10)

The Less Common Name Connection to Shavuot is “The Feast of Oaths”

Again let us look at the definition of the word “weeks”.

H7620- Taken from Brown-Driver-Briggs shùbûa / shebûùh BDB Definition:
1) seven, period of seven (days or years), heptad, week 1a) period of seven days, a week?1a1) Feast of Weeks?1b) heptad, seven (of years)
Part of Speech: noun masculine?A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: properly, passive participle of
H7650 as a denominative of H7651
Same Word by TWOT Number: 2318d

As we did at the beginning, we are led to another root word to look at that ties into the word “week” or “Shabua” and this is the word “Shaba”.

H7650 -Brown-Driver-Briggs shĂąba BDB Definition:
1) to swear, adjure 1a) (Qal) sworn (participle) 1b) (Niphal) 1b1) to swear, take an oath 1b2) to swear (of Elohim by Himself) 1b3) to curse
1c) (Hiphil)?1c1) to cause to take an oath 1c2) to adjure Part of Speech: verb
H7650 -Strong’s shñba shaw-bah’
A primitive root; properly to be complete, but used only as a denominative from H7651; to seven oneself, that is, swear (as if by repeating a declaration seven times): – adjure, charge (by an oath, with an oath), feed to the full [by mistake for H7646], take an oath, X straitly, (cause to, make to) swear.

By investigating just these 3 Hebrew words (H-7620, H-7650 and H-7651) which stem from the word “Shavuot”, we can now make the connection to it as the “Feast of Oaths”. When you seven yourselves you are making an oath.

We read in The Book of Customs:

” The Book of Jubilees, an ancient text that survived in part in the Dead Sea Scrolls and in its entirety in the ancient Ethiopian language Ge’ez, gives an entirely different spin on Shavuot. The word shavua ,”week” is a near-homonym to the word for “oath”(shevuah), and the anonymous author of Jubilees says that Shavuot was, in fact, the “Feast of Oaths”

Nissan Mindel confirms this meaning of Shavuot in his book:

“Shavuot means not only “weeks” but also “oaths.” The name indicates the two oaths which G-d and the Jewish people exchanged, upon the day of the Giving of the Torah, to remain faithful to each other forever.”

What does “swearing an oath” mean in the light of Ancient Near East Covenant Structure and Context? We are shown this in Exodus chapters 19-24, which is done up in a Suzerain-Vassal Covenant Treaty Format.

A Suzerain-Vassal Treaty is a conditional Covenant where a Great King or Nation (Suzerain) rules over a Lesser Servant King/Nation (Vassal). Whereas the Vassal pledges or vows an oath of love and loyal allegiance and to uphold all the commitments laid forth by the Great King-Suzerain. While this was common knowledge in the ancient near east within covenant making between nations, we can begin to see how much more depth a Covenant Kingdom has in the Eyes of our Creator.

A Suzerain Treaty has the following 7 conditions to be fulfilled.
1. Identification or Preamble of those involved in the treaty.
2. Prologue listing deeds performed by the Suzerain King already done for the vassal nation.
3. Commitments to be honored by the vassal for the time period of the treaty.
4. Terms for annual reading to the nation of the treaty to renewal allegiance to the treaty and Suzerain
5. Divine witness to the treaty. In our case, YHWH is our Witness.
6. Blessings and Cursings for obedience and disobedience to the Covenant Treaty.
7. A Ratification Ceremony with oaths and a sacrificial meal to show participation of those involved in the Covenant Treaty.
“Oath of Compliance”

From George E. Mendenhall’s “Ancient Israel’s Faith and History” Description of the 6th typical section in common ANE Treaty Structure.

Page 69
”#6. Oath of Compliance. A treaty is a text but an oath is the actual mechanism whereby the text is ratified and brought to life, no longer just words in a document but a functioning reality in the lives of actual people. We have ample evidence of treaties concluding with rituals of compliance, usually spoken oaths but sometimes physical gestures. In much the same way, treaties today are ratified by signatures and handshakes activating the new relationships and its terms. It should not be surprising that the biblical story of the Covenant at Mount Sinai reaches its climax with the escaped slaves pledging to abide by the covenant obligations therby defining and activating themselves as the people of YHWH (See Exodus 24: 3-8).”

3 And Mosheh came and related to the people all the Words of Yehovah and all the right-rulings. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the Words which Yehovah has spoken we shall do.” 4 And Mosheh wrote down all the Words of Yehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve standing columns for the twelve tribes of Yisrael.5 And he sent young men of the children of Yisra’el, and they offered burnt offerings and slaughtered peace slaughterings of bulls to Yehovah.6 And Mosheh took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar.7 And he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that Yehovah has spoken we shall do, and obey.”8 And Mosheh took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “See, the blood of the covenant which Yehovah has made with you concerning all these Words.” (Exodus 24:3-8)

Speaking about the covenant at Sinai and near East covenants Rene Lopez says:

“Foundationally, Beri’t (“covenant”) signifies a binding agreement between two parties
The function of Beri’t is basically that of an oath, commitment, or bond between two parties.”

Page 87
“The oath. At the conclusion of a covenant, the vassal usually uttered an oath. This gave assurance to the suzerain that the stipulations of the treaty would be kept. Furthermore, an oath ceremony also served to secure bilateral faithfulness of the parties.”

Page 88
”Oaths were usually uttered at the conclusion of a treaty, which implied acceptance of its terms. However, Israel invoked an oath in Exodus 19:8, All that the YHWH has spoken we will do, before hearing the covenant. Then, after hearing the covenant in 24:3, 7, they consented again.”

“So oath and stipulations are correlated expressions of the concluded covenant itself, or the oath is the divine sanction of the agreement as affirmed in the covenant declaration and as laid down in the stipulations.”

We can read of this “Oath” made by our King, our Suzerain, Yehovah at Shavuot, and the Feast of Weeks at Mount Sinai.

3 And Mosheh went up to Elohim, and Yehovah called to him from the mountain, saying, “This is what you are to say to the house of Ya’aqov, and declare to the children of Yisra’el: 4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Mitsrites, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. 5 ‘And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine –6 ‘and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation.’ Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisra’el.” 7 And Mosheh came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which Yehovah commanded him. (Exodus 19:3-7)

The Covenant at Sinai is intertwined with a direct Oath and Covenant By Yehovah with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

15 And the Messenger of Yehovah called to Abraham a second time from the heavens, 16 and said, “By Myself I have sworn, declares Yehovah, because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 that I shall certainly bless you, and I shall certainly increase your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore, and let your seed possess the gate of their enemies. 18 “And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” (Genesis 22:15-18)

Is this not exactly what Paul is talking about in Hebrew 6?

13 For Elohim, having promised Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Truly, blessing I shall bless you, and increasing I shall increase you.”15 And so, after being patient, he obtained the promise.16 For men do indeed swear by the one greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.17 In this way Elohim, resolving to show even more clearly to the heirs of promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, confirmed it by an oath,18 so that by two unchangeable matters in which it is impossible for Elohim to lie, we might have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the expectation set before us,19 which we have as an anchor of the life, both safe and firm, and entering into that within the veil,20 where Yehovah has entered as a forerunner for us, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchezidek  (Hebrew 6:13-20)

The covenant that Yehovah made with Abraham is told to us in Genesis 15 and you should understand, this is a blood covenant. Abraham wanted to know what his great reward was because he had no children.

7 And He said to him, “I am Yehovah, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.” 8 And he said, “Master Yehovah, whereby do I know that I possess it?” 9 And He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, and a three-year-old female goat, and a three-year-old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” 10 And he took all these to Him and cut them in the middle, and placed each half opposite the other, but he did not cut the birds. 11 And the birds of prey came down on the carcasses, and A?ram drove them away. (Genesis 15:7-11)

17 And it came to be, when the sun went down and it was dark, that see, a smoking oven and a burning torch passing between those pieces. 18 On the same day Yehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying, “I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Mitsrayim to the great river, the River Euphrates, (Genesis 15:17-18)

We have this oath that began with Yehovah making a promise to Abraham, and this oath was then spoken to Isaac and Jacob and then ratified in blood at Mount Sinai 50 days after the Passover and the Exodus by the people themselves agreeing to it. Many people will be able to quote what it said in Romans but few, if any, understand what it means. We read in Romans chapter 10:

That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yehshua and believe in your heart that Elohim has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. (Romans 10:9)

This word “confess,” means something entirely different than just saying the name of Jesus out loud. It is the Greek word;

G367 homologe om-ol-og-eh’-o
From a compound of the base of G3674 and G3056; to assent, that is, covenant, acknowledge: – con- (pro-) fess, confession is made, give thanks, promise.

In context this means one who is “confessing” faith in Yehshua; one who is coming into Covenant and binding themselves by oath to Him and agrees to the Covenant that Yehshua has presented at Sinai. As the “Lesser King” or “Master” to the Suzerain Yehovah, Yehshua’s Covenant is the same as the Father’s, which means you are entering into an agreement to keep and be loyal to the Torah and you are then restored back into the Kingdom!

Keep in mind that in Ancient world culture and context, when a covenant was cut between a Suzerain and vassal, that meant that as long as the vassal was keeping the commitments of the covenant with the King, no one else could come against that nation or vassal without having to face the full Sovereignty of the Suzerain King and all of his resources.

On the other hand, it also meant that if the vassal broke the commitments of the Covenant, the Vassal would suffer the consequences invoked by the Suzerain/King.

The Entire Book of Deuteronomy is structured as a typical Suzerain-Vassal Covenant Document, which is a more detailed reiteration of the Covenant at Mount Sinai to the Second generation in the wilderness prior to entering the Land.

When you confess your sins you are in fact admitting to having broken the covenant made at Mount Sinai and want to return to the terms of that covenant as we had agreed to. By doing this you escape the curses that you are now under.

Avinu, Malkeinu (Our Father, Our KING) states HIS oath to Israel again in Chapter 29

9 “Therefore you shall guard the words of this covenant, and do them, so that you prosper in all that you do.? 10 “All of you are standing today before Yehovah your Elohim: your leaders, your tribes, your elders and your officers, all the men of Yisra’el, 11 your little ones, your wives, and your sojourner who is in the midst of your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water, 12 so that you should enter into covenant with Yehovah your Elohim, and into His oath, which Yehovah your Elohim makes with you today, 13 in order to establish you today as a people for Himself, and He Himself be your Elohim, as He has spoken to you, and as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Yits’aq, and to Ya’aqov. 14 “And not with you alone I am making this covenant and this oath, 15 but with him who stands here with us today before Yehovah our Elohim,

as well as with him who is not here with us today.

(Deuteronomy 29:9-15)

Those who confess the name of Yehshua, as we are told in Romans 10:9 which we just read, confess to breaking this covenant and want to come back and begin to obey it.
The nation of Israel, our ancestors, gave the Oath to obey three different times. Three times we swore to keep all that Yehovah had said concerning the covenant. The first time is prior to hearing the Commandment by Yehovah.

8 And all the people answered together and said, “All that Yehovah has spoken we shall do.” So Mosheh brought back the words of the people to Yehovah (Exodus 19:8)

The second time is at the ratification Ceremony prior to the Offerings.

3 And Mosheh came and related to the people all the Words of Yehovah and all the right-rulings. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the Words which Yehovah has spoken we shall do.” (Exodus 24:3)

The third time is at the ratification prior to the sprinkling of the blood again making this a blood covenant.

7 And he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that Yehovah has spoken we shall do, and obey.” (Exodus 24:7)

Acts 2 is also an affirmation of the Covenant on Shavuot! And let me go even further and say that by keeping Pentecost or Shavuot you are in fact sevening yourself. You are reaffirming your commitment to the Covenant our ancestors made on our behalf back at mount Sinai over 3396 years ago in 1339 B.C.

1 And when the Day of the Festival of Weeks had come, they were all with one mind in one place.2 And suddenly there came a sound from the heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.3 And there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and settled on each one of them.4 And they were all filled with the Set-apart Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them to speak.5 Now in Yerushalayim there were dwelling Yehu?im, dedicated men from every nation under the heaven. (Acts 2:1-5)

“And when the Day of the Festival of Weeks had come, they were all with one mind in one place.”

We know that there was a specific service and set of prayers done at the Beit HaMikdash (The Holy Temple) on Shavuot, including a recitation of the Ten Commandments.
Everyone who was there at the Temple during the time of Shavuot was recommitting themselves to Yehovah and the Covenant that was made at Sinai. All with one mind and one accord and in one place! Ancient Covenants were often ratified or enacted by multiple elements. These included the oaths spoken by both parties, usually a sacrifice, and a shared meal. Additionally, there were normally stipulations included in the Covenant to recite and review the Covenant annually, and/or at the time of a new Vassal King in order for renewal and remembrance of the Covenant made with the Suzerain KING!

Each year at Shavuot, the Feast of Pentecost we review the Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20 and expanded in Exodus 34. Then again each Sabbatical year this entire covenant is read out loud in the hearing of all the people. Joshua did this the very first year at what today is known as Joshua’s Altar. And we do this one the first day of Sukkot each Sabbatical year in Jerusalem.

The covenant at Mount Sinai is a ketubah or marriage contract. A vow. We read it at Sukkot because Sukkot represents the time of the wedding when we marry Yehovah. This covenant is then once again restated just before the wedding.

The covenant made at Sinai was a Blood Covenant. Read what Henry Trumbull has to say on this.

A “covenant union in sacrifice” is an indefinite and ambiguous term. It may mean a covenant union wrought by sacrifice, or a covenant union accompanied by sacrifice, or a covenant union exhibited in sacrifice. But, in whatever sense it is employed, the fact remains true, that, wherever a bloody offering is made in connection with sacrifice and with covenanting, it is the blood- drinking, the blood-pouring, or the blood-touching, that represents the covenant-making; while eating the flesh of the victim, or of the feast otherwise provided, represents the covenant-ratifying, or the covenant-showing

“Thus at Sinai the formal covenanting of the Lord with his people was accompanied by sacrificing. Representatives of the people of Israel ” offered burnt-offerings, and sacrificed peace-offerings of oxen unto the Lord.” Nothing is here said of the technical sin-offering, but the whole burnt- offering and the peace-offering are included. The blood-outpouring and the blood-sprinkling preceded any feasting. And as if to make it clear that “by sprinkling the blood ” and not ” by eating the flesh of the victim,” the ” covenant union in [this] sacrifice was represented,” Moses took a portion of the blood and ” sprinkled [it] on the altar,” and another portion “and sprinkled it on the people,” saying as he did so,” Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you.” It was not until after this covenanting by blood, that the people of Israel, by their representatives,” did eat and drink ” in ratification, or in proof, or in exhibit, of the covenant thus wrought by blood.”

We have these exact same things spelled out to us in Exodus. It is Yehovah and the Nation of Israel making a blood covenant on the Day of Shavuot. Yehovah spoke these commandments in person on Shavuot, so that all of Israel heard them in Exodus 20. He then wrote them on stone in Exodus 24.

Now He said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship from afar. And Moses alone shall come near the Lord, but they shall not come near; nor shall the people go up with him.”

So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which the Lord has said we will do.” And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord. And he rose early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Then he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord. And Moses took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient.” And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according to all these words.”

Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity. But on the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they ate and drank.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.” (Exodus 24:1-11)

And after Moses broke those stones Yehovah wrote them again on both sides of the stone in Exodus 34.

This is exactly what the Apostle Paul is discussing in Chapter 9 of the Book of Hebrews, Connecting The Ratification Ceremony at Sinai with Yehshua The Mashiach, Our Redeemer and Mediator of the Renewed Covenant!

1 Now the first covenant indeed had regulations of worship and the earthly set-apart place. 2 For a Tent was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, and the table, and the showbread, which is called the Set-apart Place. 3 And after the second veil, the part of the Tent which is called Most Set-apart, 4 to which belonged the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that held the manna, and the rod of Aharon that budded, and the tablets of the covenant, 5 and above it the kerubim of esteem were overshadowing the place of atonement – about which we do not now speak in detail. 6 And these having been prepared like this, the priests always went into the first part of the Tent, accomplishing the services. 7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for sins of ignorance of the people, 8 the Set-apart Spirit signifying this, that the way into the Most Set-apart Place was not yet made manifest while the first Tent has a standing, 9 which was a parable for the present time in which both gifts and slaughters are offered which are unable to perfect the one serving, as to his conscience, 10 only as to foods and drinks, and different washings, and fleshly regulations imposed until a time of setting matters straight. 11 But Messiah, having become a High Priest of the coming good matters, through the greater and more perfect Tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, 12 entered into the Most Set-apart Place once for all, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood, having obtained everlasting redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the defiled, sets apart for the cleansing of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of the Messiah, who through the everlasting Spirit offered Himself unblemished to Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim? 15 And because of this He is the Mediator of a renewed covenant, so that, death having taken place for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those who are called might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance. 16 For where a covenant is, it is necessary for the death of the covenanted one to be established. 17 For a covenant over those dead is firm, since it is never valid while the covenanted one is living. (Deut. 24, Numbers 5, Romans 7)*18 Therefore not even the first covenant was instituted without blood. 19 For when, according to Torah, every command had been spoken by Mosheh to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which Elohim commanded you.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled with blood both the Tent and all the vessels of the service. 22 And, according to the Torah, almost all is cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. 23 It was necessary, then, that the copies of the heavenly ones should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly ones themselves with better slaughter offerings than these. 24 For Messiah has not entered into a Set-apart Place made by hand – figures of the true – but into the heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of Elohim on our behalf, 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters into the Set-apart Place year by year with blood not his own. 26 For if so, He would have had to suffer often, since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the offering of Himself. 27 And as it awaits men to die once, and after this the judgment, 28 so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to those waiting for Him, unto deliverance. (Hebrews 9:1-28)

As we have shown, Shavuot is also the portrait of an intimate, loving relationship between Yehovah and Israel. This is Israel marrying her KING, coming under the Chuppah of Mt Sinai, accepting the Ketubah (Wedding Contract) of the Creator of the Universe. Even though Yehovah would know that we would violate this marriage, that we would commit idolatry and adultery by going after other mighty ones, HE instilled provisions for Restoration of His Bride through Yehshua the Messiah! It was also on Shavuot in Acts chapter 2 when a new realm of our Marriage Covenant was brought to life and reality when the Spirit of the Torah-The Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) was given and recognized as the interwoven connection to the Letter of the Torah that was given at Mount Sinai. The Ruach is our Seal from The KING that we have been marked for redemption to enter the Kingdom of Yehovah by the work of Yehshua the Messiah!

Did Yehovah our Groom, our King, give His Vassal-Israel a Signet/Wedding Ring, or A sign to the Nations that We as His Bride are Married to the Great King in which accompanies the Seal of The Ruach HaQodesh?13 “And you, speak to the children of

13 “And you, speak to the children of Yisrael, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, Yehovah, am setting you apart. 14 ‘And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you. Everyone who profanes it shall certainly be put to death, for anyone who does work on it, that being shall be cut off from among his people. 15 ‘Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to Yehovah. Everyone doing work on the Sabbath day shall certainly be put to death. 16 ‘And the children of Yisrael shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant. 17 ‘Between Me and the children of Yisrael it is a sign forever. For in six days Yehovah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ” 18 And when He had ended speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Mosheh two tablets of the Witness, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Elohim. (Exodus 31:13-18)

13 “And you, speak to the children of Yisrael, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, Yehovah, am setting you apart. (Exodus 31:13)

19 ‘I am Yehovah your Elohim. Walk in My laws, and guard My right-rulings, and do them. 20 ‘And set apart My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, to know that I am Yehovah your Elohim.’ (Ezekiel 20:19-20)

The 4th Commandment is the one part of the law most will not keep. It includes the weekly Sabbath and the Annual Holy Days as listed in Leviticus 23 and it also includes the Sabbatical years as told to us in Leviticus 25.

Before I move on we must point out that the night before Passover in the year Yehshua was to be killed, He had a meal (His last Supper) with His disciples and told them that this wine represented His blood and that the bread represented His flesh. All the ingredients used to make a covenant; a Suzerain-Vassal Treaty.

27 And He took the cup and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink all of it. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew 26:27-28)

19 And He took bread and gave thanks, and He broke it and gave it to them, saying, This is My body which is given for you, this do in remembrance of Me. 20 In the same way He took the cup, after having dined, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is being poured out for you. (Luke 22:19-20)

His body was not broken until that next day and His blood was spilled out on the ground in the exact same way the animal’s blood runs on the ground in a covenant treaty. This happened at the exact same time when the Passover Lambs were killed at 3 P.M. on the 14th of Aviv and their blood spilled on the ground each year renewing the covenant. The covenant that He was renewing was the same one from Mount Sinai, which He spoke to the Israelites. The same one which on the day of His Ascension on that Sunday Morning began the process of counting

The covenant that He was renewing was the same one from Mount Sinai, which He spoke to the Israelites. The same one which on the day of His Ascension on that Sunday Morning began the process of counting the 7 weeks of Sabbaths; the 50 days until Pentecost, the time of swearing our oaths renewed again that we will keep the Torah, only now in our hearts. The Feast of Oaths when we seven ourselves to Yehovah again, as we are renewing our vows each year at Shavuot, also called Pentecost.

And like a bride that has taken on the name of her husband, we are told not to take the name of Yehovah in vain. That is, we do not become His Bride and drag His name back down to the bog of idolatry we have come out of to renew our vows to keep those same laws spoken at Sinai that Yehshua said were to the two greatest commandments. To love Yehovah which are the first four and to love your fellow man which are the last six.

Yehshua Himself told us;

15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. (John 14:15, 21)

Having now examined this word “weeks” and learning that it means the “Feast of Weeks” also called “Shavuot”; and having learned that this is a very special time when we gave an oath to Guard His Commandments in order to remain in His Blessings, let us now begin to understand what is being said in this prophecy. Keep in mind as we go forward that this has a great deal to do with having broken the oath and very little to do with the coming of the Messiah.

“Seventy weeks are decreed for your people”

Seventy Shavuot’s are decreed for you people. A Shavuot is 49 days. Seventy Forty-nines are decreed for you people.

70 X 49 = 3430
Now when we say a “year is as a day” as we are shown in Ezekiel, we then have 3430 years to deal with and not the 490 years that most try to rationalize. A Jubilee cycle is also 49 years in length of time in the same way the Feast of Weeks is.

3430 years can also be understood to be 70 Jubilee cycles.
