After Two Days is Passover-Counting the Six Days of John

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,

I would like to ask you all to go to your spam box and search for any newsletter from sightedmoon.com. We generally send them out on Thursdays at midnight, Eastern Time zone time. Check your spam to see if our emails are there and the move them to your inbox so they are no longer considered spam. You may have to do this to two or three emails to train your server to put them in the right box.

The National Religious Broadcasters Convention is approaching. We are now contacting many of the media outlets that will be there, asking them to interview us so we can share our message about the Jubilee Cycles. I ask you all to pray that Yehovah will open this door wide for us and that we can reach many through this event.

Two weeks ago, we posted an article titled “Ben Ha Arbayim or Between the Evenings—When is it?” I wanted to clarify for those who are unsure about the timing of Passover, specifically whether it begins on the 14th or the 15th.  Because I am still getting emails from those who can’t understand this, we are going to share another newsletter about this same subject from another angle. The six days before Passover spoken of in John. This is a newly updated article. Did Yehshua change the day when Passover was to be kept from the end of the 14th and the start of the 15th day of Nisan to a new time at the end of the 13th day and the start of the 14th day as some claim?

This past week also marked the 20th anniversary since the time I first met Nehemia Gordon and Michael Rood and my awakening to the Crescent Moon and Barley and Yehovah’s name. That was 20 years again in 2005 this past week. I will explain more in the article below.

As I went to post this Newsletter Thursday night after midnight. The last edits I made did something and the entire newsletter disappeared. I had to wait until James woke up the following day to fix whatever I had done, so I apologize for being late. But I had to comment about the latest hostage deal.

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and you and I are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s, Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers, songs and teaching from this hour.

Shabbat midrash will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Joseph Dumond is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

  1. Shabat Shalum Joseph, the letter that you sent was has some critical issues. First of all, I don’t think they believe in Yahuah, so if they didn’t give thanks to their false god, Yahuah wouldn’t care. Secondly, they are receiving a false idol, made gold that they all worship. So they are breaking the first 2 commandment. So they are being punished for breaking the Commandments not because they didn’t gave thanks to their false god.

  2. In Acts chapter 1, it says that Jesus (Yeshua) appeared to them from time to time over a period of 40 days before ascending to heaven. How does that coincide with His ascending on Sunday, Nisan 18, the same day of His resurrection?

    • He ascended the first time as the Sunday Wave Sheaf Offering. Before He ascended, no one could touch him (John 20:17). But afterwards, He could be touched (John 20:27, Matthew 28:9). Then He ascended again after 40 days for good.

  3. Joseph, I speak only to clarify. Not to confuse. Someone taught that the meal Jesus ate with his disciples was the Feast of the Firstborn [son]. I thought it had been you, maybe 10 years ago.

  4. The Passover meal is traditionally consumed after sunset at the conclusion of the 14th day, following the sacrifice of the lambs at 3 PM on that 14th day of Nisan. Yehshua was executed at the very same time as those Passover lambs and is recognized as our Passover lamb, sacrificed at 3 PM on Wednesday afternoon, the 14th of Nisan.

Are you saying, Yehshua dies on the 15th day?

    Exodus says

The Lamb was commanded to be killed at the end of the 14th day and the start of the 15th day.

Hence the criminals legs were broken to speed things up bc the 15th day was beginning.
From the Bible perspective that means the disciples eat the last supper at the start of the 14th day.

That is how I understand it from the Scriptures

    Side note
What’s the point of this counting six days?

It just seems repetitive and unnecessary as the Scriptures the Gospel is very clear. You are not the first to count backwards 3 days and 3 nights to come to the correct day Wednesday 3pm.

Are you using these dates to support your second article that Yehshua did not eat the Passover meal? If so, you have an agenda. That teaching contradicts Matthew Mark and Luke

    • Here is Roberts parting email to me after all those things said here. I have not said anything besides what is stated in the Newsletter and on this thread. One of the things we try to do and teach in our midrashes on Shabbat is that the end of the discussion we love one another, no matter how strong we disagree with one another. I have been generous in allowing other views to be aired in our midrsahes and here in the comments.

Jhn 13:35 By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another.
I have posted these same article for many years now and will continue to post them in the future until everyone understands when the Passover is to be kept and that the Last Super was not a Passover meal. If you disagree with me then you disagree with me.

      Keep Robert in your prayers.

      Joe
I have unsubscribed from the newsletter.
I have had my fill of the self serving arrogance and pettiness.

Strange enough I have learned and utilized so much Biblical truth from this letters over the past 9 yrs.

You don’t care. You are just protecting yourself. You think you’re right about all things Scripture. And about all current events and I am just one nobody bothering you.

In life we can be right and feed our ego or we can have relationships with love and respect.

      You cannot have both.

      With that said, lights out.

Yehshua will be the only one who is right and he will render the proper rewards to whom He does. I am okay with all things true from Him.

      Robert
