These 7 Things Yehovah Hates

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,

We are now just over two weeks away from the Feast of Trumpets. Are you getting ready?

The Feast of Trumpets represents this year of 2024. The Feast of Trumpets is the first day of the 10 Days of Awe concluding with the Day of Atonement. This year of 2024 is the first year of the 10 years of Awe concluding with Satan being locked away on the Day of Atonement in 2033. One of the things we do in preparation for the Feast of Trumpets is to put on our white robes of righteousness. We are to remove sin from our lives and we are to have it completed by the end of those 10 Days of Awe on the Day of Atonement.

One of our readers sent an email about Hosea this week. It got me thinking about something that has been bothering me since 2005: the false teachings that are growing each week, the lies that are passed off as truth, and how many mix them to create a new hybrid type of faith.

I am writing this as I watch the RNC convention tonight, so please forgive me if my sentences are cut off in mid-sentence.

I have also finished watching the Netflix series Turning Point on the Nuclear Arms Race. It explains how we got to this point in history, starting with WW II. To understand these things has enlightened me to understand a number of scriptures warning us of what is about to come. Please watch the entire series.

Many of you will not like what I am going to say this week. But I hope you do and understand we all have to make ourselves white and become righteous. Notice that Yehovah hates a lying tongue and a false witness who speaks lies and causes fighting among brothers.

Pro 6:16 These six Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul:

Pro 6:17 a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

Pro 6:18 a heart that plots wicked plans, feet hurrying to run to evil,

Pro 6:19 a false witness who speaks lies, and he who causes fighting among brothers.

We are going to talk about these things this week.

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers songs and teaching from this hour.

Shabbat Services will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Joseph Dumond is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

The Secret of Selichot

The Secret of Selichot:

The Thirteen Attributes of Mercy

The Jewish people have a custom of saying “selichot,” penitential prayers on fast days and especially during the days leading up to Yom Kippur. On Yom Kippur itself, the custom was originally to say selichot in each of the five prayers of the day. Modern machzorim print selichot for only two of those prayers, the evening prayer (Ma’ariv, Kol-Nidrei) and the closing prayer (Ne’ila). Because there were many different local customs as to which selichot were said in the other prayers of Yom Kippur, older machzorim simply printed one line in the appropriate place – “Here the selichot are said” – and gradually most communities stopped saying them. It is still true that the selichot, and the “thirteen attributes of mercy” that lie at the heart of them, are central to the understanding of Yom Kippur. This is felt most clearly in the waning moments of the day, during Ne’ila, when they are repeated over and over again (seven times in most versions).

The basis for reciting the thirteen attributes of mercy is found in Rosh Hashana 17b.

“God passed by him and called…” (Shemot 34,6).

R. Yochanan said: Were this not an explicit verse, we could not have said such a thing. It tells us that the Holy One, blessed be He, wrapped Himself (in a talit) like the prayer leader (chazzan) and showed Moshe the order of prayer. He said to him: Whenever Israel sins, let them perform this order and I shall forgive them.
“HaShem HaShem” – I am He before man sins; I am He after man sins and repents … Rav Yehuda said: A covenant is made over the thirteen attributes, that they are never ineffectual, as is written, “Behold I am making a covenant” (34:10).

There are a number of perplexing points about this gemara. Why did God have to demonstrate to Moshe how to recite the thirteen attributes? Why did he “dress up” like a chazzan and pretend to be one who prays? Why are the thirteen attributes guaranteed to succeed more than any other prayer, and what is the meaning of the “covenant” which is the basis of that success? Finally, examining the thirteen attributes, we find that they are merely names and descriptions of God, not a prayer at all. Nothing is actually requested. What is the significance of reciting attributes of God? Surely a plea from the heart for forgiveness should be more effective!

B.

How do the Sages know that the thirteen attributes, conveyed to Moshe in a mysterious and powerful revelation after the sin of the golden calf (Shemot 34,5-7), are a means of obtaining forgiveness? The answer to this question is found in a later incident in the Torah. When the Jewish people, after hearing the report of the spies concerning the Land of Israel, seek to return to Egypt, God tells Moshe that He is planning to destroy them. Moshe pleads and argues with God, finally saying,

“And now, the strength of God shall increase, as You have spoken, saying: HaShem, long-tempered and great in mercy, who bears sin and iniquity, and shall cleanse but not cleanse….
Forgive the sin of this people by the greatness of your mercy, as You have borne this people from Egypt unto here.”
And God said, “I have forgiven by your words.”

The verse Moshe is citing (“as You have spoken, saying…”) is a quote of the original thirteen attributes from Shemot (though not a completely accurate quote, nor can all thirteen attributes be discerned here – but that is a different question which we will not solve now). Here we find Moshe using the recitation of the attributes as the clinching argument of his prayer – and God responds, “I have forgiven, BY YOUR WORDS.” What’s more, Moshe ascribes this recital to a promise of God. The Sages understood, accordingly, that the revelation of Sefer Shemot included a method of achieving forgiveness – hence, the conclusion: “Whenever Israel sins, let them perform this order and I shall forgive them.”

But this passage also contains an enigmatic hint of the inner meaning of this recitation. Moshe prefaces his words to God by praying, “And now, the strength of God shall increase, as You have spoken.” What does Moshe mean by asking God to increase His strength? In what sense can we speak of God’s strength increasing in any way? Why is this request the preface to the attributes of mercy?

C.

The secret which God revealed to Moshe, the principle which is so amazing that “were this not an explicit verse, we could not have said such a thing,” is exactly what Moshe refers to when he says, “And now, the strength of God shall increase.” The attributes of God, in Judaism, are not theology. They are revelations, manifestations of God’s presence in the world. But God does not impose His presence on the world. God is found where people, created in the image of God, call on His name. Every day, at every prayer, Jews declare: “Yitgadel ve-yitkadesh shemei raba” – His great name shall be sanctified and increased! This is precisely the meaning of COVENANT – “A covenant is made over the thirteen attributes, that they are never ineffectual.” A covenant is not a promise; it is a two-sided agreement. It creates something which exists only in partnership. The thirteen attributes exist in covenant, because God has agreed that His presence in the world will depend on the free-willed calling of humans, who shall be the bearers of His name, His presence, His glory.

The clearest and most obvious example of this principle is the attribute of God called “malkhut” – kingship. There is a basic principle in kingship – “ein melekh be-lo am” – there is no king without a people. God’s kingship, which is an intrinsic attribute of His majesty, cannot be complete without the acceptance by people. The end of the “Aleinu” prayer, which forms a centerpiece of the prayers of Rosh Ha-shana and Yom Kippur, reads: “And they shall all accept the yoke of Your kingship, and You shall rule over them forever…. and God shall be king over all the earth; on that day God shall be one and His NAME ONE.” The words, “God is King,” recited by the Jewish people on Rosh Ha-shana, complete the coronation of God on that day. In the words of the Sages and the prayers, He ascends the throne.

This principle, so revolutionary in its implications, is actually taught to children in preschool.

Adon olam asher malakh:

The Master of the world
Before any creature was created;
When everything shall be done according to His will,
THEN His name shall be called KING.

The same is true for the attributes of mercy. Because God is committed to being our God as we call on Him, then when we call Him by His names of mercy, that is How His presence will be felt. God is not only God – He is our God, the God of Israel. When one calls Him “merciful and graceful, long-tempered and great in mercy,” then that is how He is OUR God.

This then is the meaning of the gemara quoted above. God appeared to Moshe wrapped in a talit, as the leader of the prayer, because the thirteen attributes are not a prayer TO God. He is not listening, receiving, considering. He is part of the prayer itself. The words are not TO Him, they are about Him. They, as it were, create the Presence of God Himself. God is changing Himself (“rising from the throne of judgment and sitting on the throne of mercy”). He is as much part of the recitation as we are. Properly speaking, before the creation of the covenant, ONLY God could have “recited” the thirteen attributes. God has to show Moshe how this is to be done, for He is giving over to Moshe and the Jewish people something which belongs to Him alone. He is making the Jewish people the bearers of God’s presence in this world.

Therefore, “A covenant is made over the thirteen attributes, that they are never ineffectual.” There has to be some effect to a sincere calling of the attributes, because the terms of the covenant are that otherwise, God will have no presence in the world at all. There is no base for God within the world other than the hearts of men. If God is not revealed within the prayers of Israel, how shall He be revealed?

Therefore, the forty days between the beginning of the month of Elul and Yom Kippur are the days of Selichot. The revelation of the thirteen attributes to Moshe took place on the first day of Elul (forty days after the sin of the golden calf on 17 Tammuz), and the sign of the forgiveness of Israel was given on Yom Kippur, when Moshe descended the mountain for the second time with the second tablets of the law. The second tablets are God’s acceptance of the covenant – His presence in the world; the ten commandments as given to the Jews, are carved by Moshe (unlike the first, which were carved by God), by Man.

The Kotzker Rebbe, commenting on the verse, “For the distance of East from West, have our sins distanced Him from us” (Psalms 103:12), said: What is the distance of East from West? – the turning of one’s head! If we turn to God and call, He is there. Prayer, requests, pleading – that begins afterwards.

Appendix:

The gemara states that there are thirteen attributes of mercy found in Shemot (34:6), but does not actually enumerate them. There are various opinions found in the commentaries. The most widely accepted is that found in Tosafot (RH 17b):

1. HaShem (before the sin)

2. HaShem (after the sin)

3. Kel (power)

4. Rachum (merciful)

5. Chanun (grace)

6. Erech apayim (long-tempered)

7. Rav-chesed (great in mercy)

8. (Rav) emet (great in truth)

9. Notzer chesed l’alafim (keeps mercy for a thousand generations)

10. Nosei avon (bears iniquity)

11 (Nosei) pesha (transgression)

12. (Nosei) chata’a (sin)

13. Nakei (cleanse).

The meaning of and difference between each attribute is a subject worthy of extended discussion, which will have to await a later date.

Gossip

Gossip

“The Gossips” by Norman Rockwell (1948)

Some say the painting was Rockwell’s revenge on a woman in Arlington, Vermont, who’d spread an ugly rumor about him. He re-created the life of the rumor, beginning with an elderly woman whispering about Rockwell to a neighbor. From there the tale takes wing, speeding through town from one eager gossip to the next, until it comes back to Rockwell himself, who confronts the rumor’s originator in the bottom right.
Painted in 1948, Rockwell had the idea for “The Gossips” twenty years earlier but couldn’t quite get the ending until he thought to picture himself as the subject of the gossips’ circle; he used his friends and neighbors in Arlington, Vermont as the other figures in the painting. Thousands of letters were sent to The Saturday Evening Post asking what the gossip was they were passing along, but an answer was never given.
After this picture appeared on the cover of the Post, the woman who started the gossip not only never spoke to Rockwell again, she actually moved away. The lady in the middle row, both the second and third face from the left, is portrayed by Mary Rockwell, the artist’s second wife and mother of his children. And, of course, the artist himself, Rockwell is on the bottom row, the second and third faces from the right.
The Gossip is a manipulation of Rockwell’s talent of facial expression, despite only revealing heads he is able to perfectly create the persona of each and every one of the conjured figures. So expressive is each face one can completely imagine the rest of the body; such attention to detail is paid, each character is given a token item of dress, a hat, glasses, reflecting of character.
Hands of course are used, consistently betraying conversation as they exclaim throughout the chain of gossip that ends amusingly right where it started. As with much of Rockwell’s art, the image illustrates an aspect of life, humorous and identifiable we immediately connect with the painting, as was of course the advertisement-fuelled aim.
Photography has been a benevolent tool for artists from Thomas Eakins and Edgar Degas to David Hockney. And to illustrators, always on the lookout for better ways to meet deadlines, the camera has long been a natural ally. But the thousands of photographs Norman Rockwell created as studies for his iconic images are a case apart.
A natural storyteller, Rockwell envisioned his narrative scenarios down to the smallest detail. Yet at the easel he was an absolute literalist who rarely painted directly from his imagination. Instead, he first brought his ideas to life in studio sessions, staging photographs that are fully realized works of art in their own right. Selecting props and locations, choosing and directing his models, he carefully orchestrated each element of his design for the camera before beginning to paint. Meticulously composed and richly detailed, Norman Rockwell’s study photographs mirror his masterworks in a tangible parallel universe. Photography opened a door to the keenly observed authenticity that defines Norman Rockwell’s art. And for us today it is a revelation to discover that so many of his most memorable characters were, in fact, real people.

Lashon Harah

Today, even among the brethren, there is far too much lashon Harah. The brethren pray and share posts about the evil of those in authority over them, insulting the leaders Yehovah has put in place—the same leaders He commanded us to pray for.

1 Timothy 2:1–4 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Dan 2:21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

Pro 8:13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the wicked mouth.

Pro 8:14 Counsel and sound wisdom are mine; I amunderstanding; I have strength.

Pro 8:15 By me kings reign and princes decree justice.

Pro 8:16 Princes rule by me, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.

Pro 8:17 I love those who love me; and those who seek me early shall find me.

In my lifetime, I have witnessed on the news the assassination of President J.F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, the Attempted assassination of Gerald Ford two times, President Ronald Reagan, George W Bush, George Wallace and Queen Elizabeth. Last Sabbath, an attempted assassination was made on former President Trump. There have been several others in the USA’s history.

After Saturday’s shots rang out, rumours began about it being a plot by President Biden and the Democrats. Then, other Christians began to say Trump was the anti-Christ because he now had a severe head wound and came back to life. They are trying to fit Revelation 13:3 and Trump into their twisted end-time thinking. Others began to say he was anointed because of the blood on his ear. But before they had checked the facts or researched anything they were thinking, they immediately blurted it out there for all to see, showing those who do research and think, just how ignorant and stupid they are.

If you are one of those who does not research what is being fed to you and just agrees with it and then shares it, you are an idiot, just like them. You have been called to be of the highest order in the Kingdom. You are not called to be just another fool passing on useless information about conspiratorial subjects or trying to get more likes.

1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possession, so that you might speak of the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

1Pe 2:10 you who then were not a people, but now the people of God, those not pitied then, but now pitied.

1Pe 2:11 Dearly beloved, I exhort you as temporaryresidents and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

1Pe 2:12 having your conduct honest among the nations, in that which they speak against you as evildoers, they may glorify God in a day of Hisvisitation, seeing your good works.

Exodus 19:5  And now if you will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure to Me above all the nations; for all the earth is Mine.

6  And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.

Deuteronomy 10:15  Only Jehovah had a delight in your fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, you above all people, as it is today.

Do you act, and do others see you acting in the capacity to which you have been called?

Yehovah reached down and called you. I did not call you; Yehovah did. Out of almost 9 billion people, He called you to do a work, and what are you doing now? Parroting the exact same stupid information all Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and Gentiles share. I know your Chammaschit is different because you say amen after you’re done.

Even though you may be some of that wheat growing by the roadside, you can choose to dig deeper with your roots to find the source of life in that sustaining water. But you have to dig deeper and stop skimming off the surface. Even as I prepared this newsletter, I got an email from someone who claims to be a leader asking for prayers for Alex Jones, whom she says is one of the end-time prophets. This just shows you how shallow some people’s research is. And yet, if you asked each one of them, they all would say they are good people going to heaven, but are just like that wheat by the side of the road, they are going to die as soon as it gets hot, let alone a drought should come.

Allow me to share with you what Judaism 101 says about the things you say about others.

When non-observant people talk about how difficult it is to observe Jewish law, they usually mention the difficulty of observing Shabbat or keeping kosher or other similarly detailed rituals. Yet the laws that are most difficult to keep, that are most commonly violated even by observant Jews, are the laws regarding improper speech. This is a very important area of Jewish law; entire books have been written on the subject.

The Power of Speech

Judaism is intensely aware of the power of speech and of the harm that can be done through speech. The rabbis note that the universe itself was created through speech. (Genesis 1) Of the 43 sins enumerated in the Al Cheit confession recited on Yom Kippur, 11 are sins committed through speech. It is said that the tongue is an instrument so dangerous that it must be kept hidden from view, behind two protective walls (lips and teeth) to prevent its misuse. (Arakhin 15b:5)

The harm done by speech is even worse than the harm done by stealing or by cheating someone financially: money lost can be repaid, but the harm done by speech can never be repaired. For this reason, some sources indicate that there is no forgiveness for lashon ha-ra (disparaging speech; literally: the evil tongue!). This is probably hyperbole, but it illustrates the seriousness of improper speech. A Chasidic tale vividly illustrates the danger of improper speech: A man went about the community telling malicious lies about the rabbi. Later, he realized the wrong he had done, and began to feel remorse. He went to the rabbi and begged his forgiveness, saying he would do anything he could to make amends. The rabbi told the man, “Take a feather pillow, cut it open, and scatter the feathers to the winds.” The man thought this was a strange request, but it was a simple enough task, and he did it gladly. When he returned to tell the rabbi that he had done it, the rabbi said, “Now, go and gather the feathers. Because you can no more make amends for the damage your words have done than you can recollect the feathers.”

Speech has been compared to an arrow (Jeremiah 9:7): once the words are released, like an arrow, they cannot be recalled, the harm they do cannot be stopped, and the harm they do cannot always be predicted, for words like arrows often go astray.

We have a very clear case of what happens when you use inflaming words.

President Joe Biden said the following fiery language about opponent Trump.

President Biden also posted this on X:

We now know where those arrows landed. We now know what Lashon Harah looks like in real life.

Former President Trump is also guilty of lashon harah. And so am I.

I am posting about Biden as an example of Lashon Harah, false or misleading information. Messianics are just as bad, and yet we are the ones who are supposed to represent Yehovah’s Kingdom. We have set our bar far too low.

Let me share another story that some of you may still be involved in. I also recall the brethren sharing this one or variant versions of it.

The online disinformation campaign now known as #Pizzagate, which extremists blasted into mainstream visibility on such sites as Twitter and Reddit, targeted Alefantis with a storm of harassment and lies, falsely suggesting that liberal elites abused children in the basement of his pizza restaurant. The #Pizzagate fable ultimately inspired a man to drive across state lines from North Carolina to Washington, D.C., to “save” fictitious victims. He fired a gun inside Comet Ping Pong in December 2016, when the restaurant was full of families eating lunch. Trolls continue to target Alefantis and his staff with harassment even now, as the event approaches its fifth anniversary.

Comet Ping Pong

Researchers of the far right still talk about #Pizzagate, but for different reasons: #Pizzagate influenced the politically charged disinformation campaigns that followed it in significant, often underreported ways. #Pizzagate helped birth the sprawling, pro-Trump conspiracy #QAnon, which in turn led to a number of violent crimes. #Pizzagate represents a watershed moment for Trump-era extremists, and its popularity united such figures as the actress Rosanne Barr with open neo-Nazis and, potentially, the Russian government. It can be viewed as a forerunner to the so-called Big Lie, wherein millions of Americans falsely came to believe that former President Trump won reelection in 2020 but liberal elites colluded to change the outcome.

These sorts of false stories are rampant even today amongst those who call themselves brethren. Do you wonder why you have trouble sharing about God and His Torah? Is it possible you have mixed Yehovah’s Torah with these satanic lies? Is this why everyone you speak to dismisses your truths, because you have mixed them with these out-and-out lies as though they were true?

One reason Christianity has never caught on in Thailand (less than 5% of the Population) is that people cannot tell the difference between a Christian and the rest of the world. My daughter, who does not believe, repeats the same conspiracy teachings many of those who call themselves brethren say. What is the difference between her and those who say they obey Yehovah? There is none.

Do people see anything different about you or through your Facebook posts or your street language?

How do you represent that Kingdom as an Ambassador to the Kingdom of Yehovah?

Will our King say to you well done, good and faithful servant? Or will He say to you, be gone I NEVER knew you.

Rev 22:13  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last.

Rev 22:14  Blessed are they who do His commandments, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and they may enter in by the gates into the city.

Rev 22:15  But outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and makes a lie.

Rev 22:16  I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright and Morning Star.

Rev 22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one hearing say, Come! And let the one who is thirsty come. And he willing, let him take of the Water of Life freely.

Rev 22:18  For I testify together to everyone who hears the Words of the prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add on him the plagues that have been written in this Book.

Rev 22:19  And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.

Rev 22:20  He who testifies these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly, Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus.

Rev 22:21  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen.

President Biden did not know where his words would land, and President Trump did not know where his words would land. You do not know where the arrows of your mouth will land. But some did land on Thomas Matthew Crooks, who took it upon himself to take out a man running for the presidential office of the most powerful country in the world. In the process of attempting this assassination, Crooks wounded two other people and murdered Corey Comperatore, a fireman who jumped on top of his family as soon as he heard the gunshots, saving their lives but giving up his own.

Where are the arrows of your words going to land? It may not be the target you aimed them at.

We are in the final ten years of judgment on this world. How will your words be weighed?

Put your brain in gear before you put your mouth in motion.

Here is what the Apostle James had to say about this most dangerous thing Yehovah has placed in our possession.

Taming the Tongue

Jas 3:1  My brothers, do not be many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

Jas 3:2  For in many things we all offend. If anyone does not offend in word, the same is a full-grown man, able also to bridle the whole body.

Jas 3:3  Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, so that they may obey us, and we turn about their whole body.

Jas 3:4  Behold also the ships being so great, and driven by fierce winds, yet they are turned about with a very small rudder, where the impulse of him steering desires.

Jas 3:5  Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. Behold how little a fire kindles how large a forest!

Jas 3:6  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by hell.

Jas 3:7  For every kind of animals, and of birds, and of reptiles, and of sea-animals, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind.

Jas 3:8  But no one can tame the tongue, it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Jas 3:9  By this we bless God, even the Father. And by this we curse men, who have come into being according to the image of God.

Jas 3:10  Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

Jas 3:11  Does a fountain send forth at the same hole the sweet and the bitter?

Jas 3:12  Can the fig tree, my brothers, bear olive berries; or a vine, figs? So no fountain can yield both salt water and fresh.

Wisdom from Above

Jas 3:13  Who is wise and knowing among you? Let him show his works by his good conduct with meekness of wisdom.

Jas 3:14  But if you have bitter jealousy and strife in your hearts, do not glory and lie against the truth.

Jas 3:15  This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

Jas 3:16  For where envying and strife are, there is confusion and every foul deed.

Jas 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first truly pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Jas 3:18  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

We are right now in the 40 days of repentance and during the last 10 Days of Awe we are to repent of any sins we had not already stopped. In like manner we are in the final ten years of Awe. Our tongue is the biggest source of many of the hurts we cause. Examine yourself while you still have time.

Hosea

Hosea

One of our readers sent me a note about our book The Abomination That Makes Desolate-Epilogue, where I expose the sins many of you still will not repent of. Many of you have become upset with me as I expose you to your secret sins, yet you will not repent. You would rather fight me than change.

Yehovah found you in the wilderness and you were like the first fruits of wheat that are to be harvested and offered up at Shavuot. You are that first fruits and you need to act like it and get ready for the harvest about to begin.
Hos 9:10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the first-fruit in the fig tree at her first time. But they went to Baal-peor and set themselves apart to a shameful thing; and they became abominable like that which they loved.
Although this may have applied millennia ago, it is also prophetic today, at the end of this age, as we are just a few years away from the 7th millennium. Those who say our enemies will reap the whirlwind are taking that verse out of context. It is Israel who is going to reap the whirlwind for not obeying Yehovah. Read it all in its proper context. You are like Israel, and you say, as they did, that you know God, that you know Yehovah! Do you?

How can you know Yehovah if you spend all your time studying lies and false teachings? It is time to open up your Bibles as you did when you first found the truth.

Hos 8:1 Put a trumpet to your mouth. He comes like an eagle against the house of Jehovah, because they have broken My covenant and have sinned against My Law.

Hos 8:2 Israel shall cry to Me, My God, we know You.

Hos 8:3 Israel has thrown off good; the enemy shall pursue him.

Hos 8:4 They have set up kings, but not by Me; they have made rulers, and I knew it not. They have made themselves idols with their silver and their gold, so that they may be cut off.

Hos 8:5 Your calf, O Samaria, has cast you off. My anger is kindled against them. Until when will they not attain purity?

Hos 8:6 For from Israel it came also. The craftsman made it, but it is not God. For the calf of Samaria shall be splinters.

Hos 8:7 For they sow the wind, and they reap the whirlwind. It has no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal; if it does yield, strangers shall swallow it up.

Hos 8:8 Israel is swallowed up; now they shall be among the nations as a vessel in which there is no pleasure.

Hos 8:9 For they have gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself. Ephraim has hired lovers.

Hos 8:10 Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now I will gather them. And they began to be few, from the burden of the king of rulers.

Hos 8:11 Because Ephraim has made many altars to sin, altars shall be to him to sin.

Hos 8:12 I have written to him the great things of My Law, but they were counted as a strange thing.

Hos 8:13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of My offerings, and eat it; but Jehovah does not receive them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They shall return to Egypt.

Hos 8:14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker, and builds temples. And Judah has multiplied cities. But I will send a fire on his cities, and it shall burn up her palaces.

And just like Israel, who claim they know God, you are mixing your conspiratorial teachings and false calendars with Yehovah’s Torah, and you think you know Him. You do not know Him; you have trespassed the covenant made at Mount Sinai by syncretizing all of these abominations with the Torah, making the Torah a menstrual rag. When you mix, it is as if you had sex with another person; you are allowing your mind to entertain these foreign ideas about worshiping the one true Elohim.

It was the exact same thing in Elijah’s day. He demanded that the people choose whom they would serve.

1Ki 18:20 And Ahab sent to all the sons of Israel, and gathered the prophets together to mount Carmel.

1Ki 18:21 And Elijah came to all the people and said, How long are you limping over two opinions? If Jehovah is God, follow Him. But if Baal is God, then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.

Why would it be any different for us now, just before the Messiah comes, when Elijah is supposed to be here restoring all things in the years leading up to the Messiah’s arrival?

Israel believed the priests of Baal were the proper way to worship Yehovah. It was not.

By serving these other gods, these Baals, you set yourselves up for death.

Hos 13:1 When Ephraim spoke trembling, he was lifted up in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.

Hos 13:2 And now they sin more and more, and have made themselves a molten image of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen. They say of them, Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.

Hos 13:3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passes away, as the chaff storm-driven out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

Hos 13:4 Yet I am Jehovah your God from the land of Egypt, and you shall know no God but Me. For there is no Savior besides Me.

Hos 13:5 I have known you in the wilderness, in the land of great dryness.

Hos 13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled. They were filled and their heart was lifted up. Therefore they have forgotten Me.

Hos 13:7 Therefore I will be as a lion to them; as a leopard by the way I will watch them.

Hos 13:8 I will meet them like a bereaved bear, and will tear the lining of their heart. And there I will devour them like a lion; the wild beast shall tear them.

Hos 13:9 O Israel, you have destroyed yourself; but in Me is your help.

Hos 13:10 Where is your king now, that he may save you in all your cities; and your judges of whom you said, Give me a king and rulers?

Hos 13:11 I gave you a king in My anger, and took him away in My wrath.

Hos 13:12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin hidden.

Hos 13:13 The pains of a woman in travail shall come to him. He is an unwise son; for he cannot stand still in the time of the breaking forth of sons.

Hos 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, where are your plagues; O Grave, where is your ruin! Repentance shall be hidden from My eyes.

Hos 13:15 Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind shall come. The wind of Jehovah shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall be ashamed, and his fountain shall be dried up. He shall plunder the treasure of all desirable vessels.

Hos 13:16 Samaria shall become a waste, for she has rebelled against her God. They shall fall by the sword. Their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women shall be ripped up.

This is not new. Our fathers have been doing the same things over and over since the beginning. You do not realize just how little time you have left to repent.

Jer 15:1  Then Jehovah said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul could not be toward this people. Send them out of My sight, and let them go out.

Jer 15:2  And it will be, if they say to you, Where shall we go? Then you shall tell them, So says Jehovah: Those who are for death, go to death; and those for the sword, to the sword; and those for the famine, to the famine; and those for the captivity, to the captivity.

Jer 15:3  And I will set over them four kinds, says Jehovah; the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the heaven and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.

Jer 15:4  And I will make them a horror to all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.

Jer 15:5  For who shall have pity on you, O Jerusalem? Or who shall weep over you? Or who shall turn aside to ask your welfare?

Jer 15:6  You have forsaken Me, says Jehovah; you have gone backward; therefore I will stretch out My hand against you, and destroy you; I am weary with repenting.

Jer 15:7  And I will winnow them with a fork in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of sons; I will destroy My people, since they do not turn from their ways.

Jer 15:8  Their widows are more numerous about Me than the sand of the seas; I have brought on them, against a mother of a young man, a ravager at noonday; I have caused anguish and terror to fall on her suddenly.

Jer 15:9  She who bore seven languishes; she has breathed out her life; her sun has gone down while it was yet day. She has been ashamed and humiliated; and I will deliver the rest of them to the sword before their enemies, says Jehovah.

Jeremiah describes the curses of Leviticus 26, which refer to the Sabbatical and Jubilee Cycles in Leviticus 25.

This week, one of the leaders in the Messianic movement asked everyone to pray for what she called an end-time prophet named Alex Jones. He has not repented for the lies he has spread and does not restore the Torah or parts of it. This week, others continue to push forward the Zadok and Enoch calendars; others, the Lunar Sabbath lie and the flat earth. These are those who claim to follow Yehovah. This is syncretism, or mixing the truth with lies.

2Th 2:8  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of His mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming,

2Th 2:9  whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2Th 2:10  and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved.

2Th 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,

2Th 2:12  so that all those who do not believe the truth, but delight in unrighteousness, might be condemned.

Turning Point

Turning Point

This week, I binge-watched a Netflix series of nine episodes called Turning Point. It explains how we got to the point we are in the world right now with the threat of WW III and a nuclear attack. It starts with WW II and the Germans looking to make the bomb and ends in 2022 with the invasion of Ukraine. Many of the events shown were during my lifetime, some of which I was oblivious to just how close we were at that time to going to war.

In all of it, I got the impression that each new phase was based on fear—fear of what the other side was about to do, fear of not being strong or being perceived as weak.

In episode 9, they showed how Russian propaganda was used and how it influenced many into divisive fighting amongst ourselves. I say this to you, the brethren, because many of us were and are still caught up in some of these things. Spreading these lies without proof is gossip and lashon harah. I am asking you to think before you press forward and to think again before you press send.

I want to encourage you all to watch this series over the next week or two. Yes, I am asking you to binge-watch this series, and as you do, I want you to keep in mind the following scriptures.

Those who follow and believe the lies, Yehovah, will give them over to those lies because they do not love the Torah. They want to syncretize the Torah with those lies.

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already working, only he is now holding back until it comes out of the midst.

This next set of scriptures is about a nuclear war. The flying scrolls are Nuclear missiles. The woman in the lead box is an evil fire, a nuclear bomb. The two flying women are two rockets being fired. Now that you understand this, you should be able to figure out what this prophecy is warning us of.

A Vision of a Flying Scroll

Zec 5:1 And I again lifted up my eyes and looked. And behold! A flying scroll.

Zec 5:2 And he said to me, What do you see? And I answered, I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.

Zec 5:3 And he said to me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth; for from now on everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it; and everyone who swears from now on shall be cut off according to it.

Zec 5:4 I will bring it forth, says Jehovah of Hosts; and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by My name. And it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall devour it, and its timber and its stones.

A Vision of a Woman in a Basket

Zec 5:5 Then the angel who talked with me went forth and said to me, Now lift up your eyes and see what this is that goes forth.

Zec 5:6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is the ephah that goes forth. And he said, This is their form in all the earth.

Zec 5:7 And behold, a lead cover was lifted up, and a woman was sitting in the middle of the ephah.

Zec 5:8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah. And he cast the lead stone over its opening.

Zec 5:9 And I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, two women came out. And the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork. And they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

Zec 5:10 And I said to the angel who talked with me, Where are they going with the ephah?

Zec 5:11 And he said to me, To build a house for it in the land of Shinar; and it shall be established and set there on its own base.

And finally I want to consider what the 2nd trumpet plague is speaking about. It is a nation (mountain) in flames (civil war or all-out war) falling into the sea. The sea represents people. Is this talking about political chaos and riots? Or is this prophecy talking about a nuclear attack?

Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea. And the third part of the sea became blood.

Rev 8:9 And the third part of the creatures in the sea, those having souls, died; and the third part of the ships was destroyed.

We are living at the end of this age. We are that last generation. You are called to watch. This is why I want you to watch this series so you too can see how we have arrived at this moment in time. Be the watchmen you were called to be. Understand how we got here and know what is about to come.

  3. Brother Joe, I can’t tell you how much I valued your word on Loshan hara this week. You made me consider many things I never thought of. I had previously been in Jane’s letter on the tongue, but never thought how it related to what we speak regarding leaders in this world. I deeply wish to thank you for your directness on this.
