Passover 2025-1/3 of the Ships Destroyed

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,

Shabbat Shalom to you all.

I finally arrived home late on Monday this past week after driving more than 7,500 km from Ontario to Dallas for the NRB convention. Then, I went to Arizona to visit my Dad before heading to Nebraska for Shabbat last Saturday. I am getting older, as I need more pea breaks than I used to and am no longer able to drive 24 hours straight as I used to when we would go to Florida.

A lot has taken place while we were at the NRB and since. It is incredible to see.

This Sabbath is the 14th of Nisan. This year it the timing is exactly the same as it was when Joshua crossed the Jordan to enter the promised land with all of Israel. We will explain that both on the Sabbath at our meeting and in the Newsletter.

Friday evening is the foot washing ceremony we wrote to you about last week. Saturday evening is when the Passover meal is to be eaten. All leaven is to be removed from your house by sunset Saturday. You are to eat unleavened bread on each of the 7 days of Unleavened Bread beginning with the Passover meal, Saturday evening.

On Sabbath we will hold a shortened version of our Torah study to give people time to prepare the Passover meal. We will have a service at 10 AM Eastern and another at 1 PM Eastern on Sunday, which is the High Holy Day of the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread. Do check what time that is locally for you as there have been changes to the clocks in some areas.

In this week’s Newsletter, we will explain what the first few trumpet plagues look like in relation to today’s news. Yes the plagues of Egypt are taking place now but few know what to look for.

We also are releasing the video of our NRB event. May it be a blessing to you as you see our message and the work we are doing to present it.

We continue to ask you to support this work with your love gifts monthly. We are asking so that we can do an advertising campaign with the NRB for $4000 this month, another advertising campaign with FrontGate Media for $5000 every two months to promote us on to as many podcasts as possible. This campaign is for the next 12 months so we are looking for $30,000 in total. We also have a trip to Japan at the end of March to speak to a group there, and then on to the Philippines for a 6-week speaking tour there. All of this cost money and I have exhausted my resources in doing the NRB last month. We are also in discussions about speaking in Uganda in July.

Brethren, I cannot do any of this without your help. We are a very small group with an enormous message. Please join us and become a monthly donor at https://sightedmoon.com/donate-co/ . Become part of our team who are doing this work at this time. We may not all be able to speak in public. We may not all be able to go to the conventions or afford to pay for the advertising, but together as a unit we can all work as a team to get this work done. What is Yehovah going to say to you on judgment day? Well done, good and faithful servant, or take away from this slothful servant what he has and give it to the one who has ten.

There is no one else teaching what we are teaching. Consider joining our work.

Mat 25:14  For it is as if a man going abroad called hisown servants and gave them his goods.

Mat 25:15  And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once.

Mat 25:16  And going he who had received the five talents traded with them, and made another five talents.

Mat 25:17  And likewise he who had received two, he also gained another two.

Mat 25:18  But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s silver.

Mat 25:19  After a long time the lord of those servants came and took account with them.

Mat 25:20  And so he who had received five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered five talents to me. Behold, I have gained five talents above them.

Mat 25:21  His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.

Mat 25:22  He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered two talents to me. Behold, I have gained two other talents above them.

Mat 25:23  His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.

Mat 25:24  And he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you were a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.

Mat 25:25  And I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the earth. Lo, you have yours.

Mat 25:26  His lord answered and said to him, Evil and slothful servant! You knew that I reaped where I did not sow, and gathered where I did not scatter,

Mat 25:27  then you should have put my money to the exchangers, and coming I would have received my own with interest.

Mat 25:28  Therefore take the talent from him and give itto him who has ten talents.

Mat 25:29  For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will abound. But from him who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him.

Mat 25:30  And throw the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and you and I are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s, Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers, songs and teaching from this hour.

Shabbat midrash will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

  1. What most people in the world and especailly the people of the USA dont know , is that its not a DOGE strategy that is causing the financial ruin to develop. Its the settling of the 2015 bankruptcy chapter 7 of the territorial government administration used to be run by the Vatican . This bankruptcy proceeding is now in its liquidation phase , the final part of a forced bankruptcy. See how it works by looking up bankruptcy chapter 7 on google. We are not being told the truth about this rampage through our assets and administrations. We have been duped to think we were the people still in charge of our credit and our administrators but since 1871 the republic went mothball . Many are now reconstructing the dejure republic but may be too late)or just in time Yah wiling) . This financai system will collapse on is own weight regardless as US inc was dismantled and liquidated just recently . The Doge is a front for the executives(president ) trusty fiduciary responsibilities to oversee and implement the final phases . This is what is happening .
We KNOW this is Yahs timely doing due to our neglect of Keeping his will for such a long grace period. But the People of this world should know WHY , its not the “saviors” of the US inc and USA (British Municipal Admins) Incs doing , its our fault for not watching them and vetting the types of people who run our governments all over the world. Yah said what our selected leaders would do to us if we rejected GOD , well here we are…. judgement time.
Get ready for a ride of a lifetime.

  2. The newsletter two weeks ago said March 1st was the 1st day of Abib. But this newsletter says Saturday evening is Passover dinner?

Saturday is the 15 day of Abib.

I thought Friday night is the Passover meal?

    Reply
    • Friday evening march 14 is last supper and foot washing.
Saturday march 15 is crucifixion day with Yehshua dying at 3 pm.
Saturday evening is the Passover meal eaten after sunset on Saturday evening with unleavened bread. This is the start of the seven days of unleavened bread.
Sunday Nisan 15 is march 16 is wave sheaf day beginning night before when you ate Passover meal.

    • The Passover meal is eaten at the transition between the 14th and 15th day… in other words, immediately at the start of the 15th day, which is the 1st day of Unleavened bread (a High Sabbath). The 14th day is when one prepares for the Passover (a working day).

For western believers who are familiar with events of the first four books of the New Testament, there is an assumption that the last meal that Jesus had with his disciples was Passover. Although this is taught by many, it is an incorrect teaching. There was no mention of lamb, bitter herbs, or unleavened bread at this last meal together. In fact, Jesus announces that he will not be able to eat Passover with them until things that need to be done are done (ie: He will eat Passover with us at the Wedding Supper of the Lamb). For further research, this last meal that he was having is known as the Fast of the Firstborn, due to the price that the firstborn of Egypt paid for the Hebrews.

If one pays close attention to the crucifixion events of Jesus during the 24 hours of the day of preparation which is Passover, parallel events are happening with the animal lambs at the same time. The animal lambs are also being inspected and slaughtered at the same time as the Lamb of God is being slaughtered on the cross.

After the crucifixion, as the day of Passover comes to an end, there is a rush to get the bodies off out of sight before everyone sits down in each of their own homes to eat the Passover at the start of the High Sabbath, which is the 1st day of Unleavened Bread.

I hope this rather lengthy explanation helps, and may you have a meaningful and rewarding Passover meal this evening.

      • Mike,
No we DO NOT EAT the Passover on the 15th! This is against the command. The command states to eat the Passover on the 14th day of the month between the evenings and no leftovers; they must be burned with fire.

Passover = 14th DAY ( Leviticus 23:5) slaughter is between the evenings on the 14th ( at twilight), set Passover lamb blood on lintels, death of the firstborn was at 12 midnight;therefore, the command not to leave the house. Must eat that Night ( the 14th), roasted by fire ( no boiling), no breaking a bone, We must burn leftovers not allowing any to REMAIN until morning. Forbidden to leave the threshold of the door until morning.

Day of Unleavened Bread = 15th DAY ( Leviticus 23: 6-8) they left the house in the morning, spoiled the Egyptians and Yah brought them out of Egypt by NIGHT on the 15th, the next night.

They shall observe and eat it on the 14th day at twilight:

        Leviticus 23:5

5 Yehovah’s Passover is on the fourteenth day of the first month fnat twilight.

        Second Passover same: Numbers 9:11,

11 ‘On the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight, they shall observe it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

Eat at night, roasted in fire ( not boiled), no breaking a bone, Blood on door lintels, leave nothing behind at sunrise. Anything left burn with fire.

        Exodus 12

7 ‘Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel [above the door] of the houses in which they eat it.
8 ‘They shall eat the meat that same night, roasted in fire, and they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
9 ‘Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted in fire—both its head and its legs, along with its inner parts.
10 ‘You shall let none of the meat remain until the morning, and anything that remains left over until morning, you shall burn completely in the fire.

Why do we put blood on the door on the 14th ?

        Midnight 14th:

        Exodus 12

4 ¶ Then Moses said, “Thus says the LORD: ‘At midnight I am going out into the midst of Egypt,
5 and all the firstborn in the land [the pride, hope, and joy] of Egypt shall die,

12 ‘For I [Yehovah] will pass through the land of Egypt on this night, and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal; against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments [exhibiting their worthlessness]. I am Yehovah.
13 ‘The blood shall be a sign for you on [the doorposts of] the houses where you live; when I see the blood I shall pass over you, and no affliction shall happen to you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

        Why Passover sacrifice on 14th?

        Exodus 12

27 you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of the Yehovah’s Passover, for He passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians, but spared our houses.’” And the people bowed [their heads] low and worshiped [God].

        Leave nothing until morning

        Numbers 9:12

12 ‘They shall leave none of it until morning nor break any of its bones; in accordance with all the statutes of the Passover they shall observe it.

COMMAND Must not leave house until morning ( sunrise ).

        Exodus 12

22 “You shall take a bunch of fnhyssop, dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and touch some of the blood to the lintel [above the doorway] and to the two doorposts; and none of you shall go outside the door of his house until morning.

Israel spoiled the Egyptians the next morning (when they were allowed to leave their houses).

        Exodus 12

36 Yehovah gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them what they asked. And so they plundered the Egyptians [of those things].

The departed Egypt on the 15th at NIGHT.

        Exodus 12

17 ‘You shall also observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because on this very day I brought your hosts [grouped according to tribal armies] out of the land of Egypt; therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an ordinance forever.

        • You have misunderstood many things Michelle. We have gone over this 100 times in our newsletters and on Shabbat. It would be better to study those things than to argue now with you. The Egyptians were plundered before the Passover evening. The between the evenings is at the end of the 14th and the start of the 15th. They left Egypt in the early morning of the 15th the next morning. We will be reading about this on our High Holy Day tomorrow.

          • SCENARIO # 2
In an effort to ammend this glaring problem some Messianic believers have moved the Passover to the evening at the start of the 14th rather than the end to celebrate the Passover according to Exodus 12:42.
“It is a night to be observed unto YHWH for bringing them out of the land of Mitsrayim. This night is unto YHWH, to be observed by all the children of Yisra’ĕl throughout their generations.” (Exodus 12:42)
This practice however presents another difficulty in itself by leaving 12-24 hours of nothing before the 15th when the 7 days of unleavened bread is to be honoured. If one continued unleavened bread from the beginning of Passover to the 21st as commanded in Exodus then one would end up with 8 days of unleavened bread!
Exodus 12:18-19 “In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month in the evening. 19 ‘For seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses…”
            ~2 B saved dot com

            PS it’s midrash not arguing

        • Michelle) You are correct and Joseph F. Dumond has gotten it wrong (Sorry Joe.).
Start by reading Exo_12:18 ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the new moon, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the new moon in the evening. If you count your days, you get 8 days. That’s two festivals. Passover on the “14th” that is a day. Festival of Unleavened bread is 7 days (15th to the 21st). So, the 14th day to the 21st day equals…? 14th (day 1), 15th (day 2)…, 21st day equals??? 8 days not 7.

In all the face book comments on torah and religion i say go to sightedmoon, see where we are. Could you do a 15 minit on the chart and why we need torah. Those little flash drives are so cheap i could load many and pass them out. It’s fearfull to read esdras 2, only a drop in a wave will make it in the kingdom, so little and so little time. 4. Shalom Joseph:
As I aged (I’m 78) I began having to urinate more. Eventually needing to go once an hour. Not good for long driving trips – like the ones you take. Story short, my doctor prescribed ALFUZOSIN. It’s reduced my trips to the out house by half. You’re obviously under a lot of stress, watch your cholesterol, BP, weight – all that stuff! Shelepping the Good News 24/7 can take it out of you brother. I began watching sightedmoon.com in 2008 where I learned about the Shimita and Yovel years. Why didn’t the SDA Church, where I was a member, teach us about that, and a whole lot more? This was the start of a spiritual journey. Though I don’t agree with some things you teach. (We keep the Hillel calendar), I certainly have to thank you for what you’re putting out there and the changes it’s making in peoples lives. From Oregon. Peter Smith
