There just isn’t a better book on Christian prophecy than this! What an eye opener!

Of the many books and articles that I have read on prophecy in my personal search for truth, this is the only one that does not rely on old ideas that were developed hundreds of years ago when knowledge was minimal. So much more has been learned through historical and archeological research. The world has changed so much that before now no one could have clearly envisioned how prophecy might play out.

I think the average Christian doesn’t realize that recent developments in technology and huge increases in knowledge offer us a unique opportunity to raise the veil so that we might see clearly what was once hidden behind a dark glass.

After learning about these things and seriously considering the Bible, with a willingness to set aside my traditional beliefs about prophecy, I have come to the conclusion that this book is inspired by God. Mr. Dumond presents compelling information that overturns long held assumptions and unverified beliefs making the entire body of prophetic knowledge fully accessible. As a matter of fact I think that just about anyone with no previous knowledge of the Bible would understand things that scholars have devoted their lives to explaining.

The Stones Cry Out Part 1 & Part 2

In The Stones Cry Out, I walk you through the history of each change and why those changes came about, starting with the Maccabean days. Yes, it all began around 164 B.C. When Yehshua was here, he was dealing with two schools of thought. The Sadducees were all but wiped out when the Temple fell in 70 C.E. This left only the Pharisees, who began to be persecuted after the failure of the Bar Kochbah Revolt in 134 C.E.

The truth began to become out of focus around 160 C.E. when Rabbi Jose wrote the Seder Olam. This work originally was written to proof Simon Bar Kochbah was the Messiah. When that did not pan out the history was later revived and then redacted as the truth into the Mishneh Torah by Rabbi Judah ha Nasi in 180 C.E. After this the Jerusalem Talmud begins to debate these issues. It was then during this time as the Jerusalem Talmudist are forced to flee and the Babylonian Talmudist continue to grow until the 6th century that Hillel came up with a solution to help them keep the Holy Days at the proper time while they were out of the land of Israel. He did this in 358 C.E. This work was then modified and adjusted over the next 800 years with additions added and other rejected. Until it was finally redacted once again in 1177 by Rambam. And with that we now have the modern Hillel calendar which includes the errors passed on during each redaction. These errors included the time of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.

Once the Temple was destroyed in 70 C.E., the Jews recorded time by counting from the time It was destroyed. This is why the 40 tombstones of Zoar, which record this information, are crucial to understand.

When you understand why the Postponement rules were first created so that the crescent moon would not be seen in another part of the world before it was seen in Israel then you can understand how they were still trying to follow the crescent moon to begin the month. The Tombstones show us this exact thing. The tombstones also show us when the Jews changed from a crescent moon to a Conjunction moon to begin the month. They also show us when the Jews changed the year from the month of Aviv to the Tishri to begin the year.

I really want you to understand these things so you know why you do what you do as far as following a calendar to keep Yehovah’s moedim.

Most people assume that Hillel created the calendar in 358 C.E. They then assume that because it was a Sanhedrin, they are not allowed to change in order to obey Yehovah. The Hillel calendar has been changed many times since 358 C.E. up until 1177 C.E. Few people talk about these changes but we do in our latest Book The Stones Cry Out Part 1 which is free on our website. The Hillel calendar was changed on many occasions and many sought to make other changes during this time. They never needed a Bet Din to approve those changes. They just did them. So this excuse that we do not have the right to obey Yehovah because the Bet Din has not approved it is a crock of crap.
You have the obligation to obey Yehovah. You have the duty to prove which calendar you are to go by. You must prove it beyond all doubt. Yehshua never followed the Hillel calendar. Nor did any of the Apostles.
The reason no man can know the day or the hour is because it refers to a crescent moon to begin the 7th month. That is the day He was born on and the day He comes to judge on. At a day and hour no one can know. Using the Hillel calendar predicts Yom Teruah years in advance so every one knows when to keep it. But even in the Hillel calendar they keep two days of Yom Teruah reckoning back to the sighted moon. Also in the postponement rules developed long after Hillel, they again state that if the conjunction is at a certain time then the day begins at such and such, in order that the moon will not be seen in another part of the world before it is seen in Israel. That was rule number 2.
Everyone has to choose. You have the right to be wrong. But if you choose to be wrong then you also must live with the consequences that come with sin. And that is the death penalty for not keeping the Holy Days, these Sabbath at the proper time. It is your choice.
Just because you write in to me to justify your position does mean it is right. It just means your sounding off.

As I began to write The Stones Cry Out, I quickly found myself going back, time and time again, to explain how the calendar is behind the confusion of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Rabbis, as they began to write the Mishnah, incorporated wrong understandings, and those errors were written into what became known as the Talmud and then the Mishneh Torah. The expulsion from the land and subsequent persecutions in trying to send out messengers to report the barley being found or the crescent moon being seen, proved to be more and more dangerous over time. All of these things took place over 14 centuries.

Then as I was working on The Stones Cry Out, I discovered that many people were now accepting the Zadok calendar as factual. This is when we pivoted to include all the details of the various calendars that have crept back into public knowledge today and are being used to mislead new people who are just starting to learn about the calendar. All of this was directly connected to the period starting with the Hasmonaeans, up to the destruction of the Temple. Then, with the compiling of the Mishnah, the studies that led into the writing of the Jerusalem Talmud, then the Babylonian Talmud and finally the Mishneh Torah, each error that was added is compounded over time.

The Stones Cry Out, Part 1 explains the history of how each compilation of the Oral Torah incorporated errors, leading the followers thereof away from the actual Torah. In understanding these facts, it is then possible to understand more readily how the Sabbatical and Jubilee years were then mixed and later changed. By explaining all this history, I will be able to help you the reader understand the tombstones when most authorities do not. They have assumed, to their error, the Hillel calendar to have always been in use since Mount Sinai. Not understanding the history of the calendars is why most authorities dismiss the tombstones as too confusing to use. Once you understand The Stones Cry Out Part 1, Part 2 will be very easy to grasp.

Daniel 7:25 tells us he will change the appointed seasons and commandments. Many assume Constantine did this when he made Sunday the Sabbath. Few have considered the calendar’s many changes and how they relate to us today. Hidden in this proverbial swamp of confusion is the truth about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Sabbatical and Jubilee years reveal the truths about the calendar that have been hidden for almost 2000 years.

We are in the very last days and Yehshua warned us that during this time:

Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.

Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.

Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end, the same shall be kept safe.

Paul also warned Timothy about these last days, warning that some would leave the truth and begin to follow demonic teachers:

1Ti 4:1 But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,

Paul again warned the Thessalonians that the Great Falling away would take place in the last days. How can you fall away if you have never come to know the truth? So who is Paul talking to? Those who are called and answer that calling begin to walk this road of restoration back to Yehovah, and then at some point along that walk, they change and leave this walk following the teachings of demons to false calendar.

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, my brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,

2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand.

2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,

2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.

We must endure until the end. We must not let ourselves become offended by personalities and leave the faith once given.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and you and I are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s, Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

The Grapes Are Being Harvested

The date for this Newsletter is July 19 or the 23rd day of the 5th month. Two weeks ago, we showed how the first grapes were ready on the 9th of Av. We look to the grapes at this time because it was on the 9th of Av that the spies brought back a cluster of grapes from Israel as testimony of the abundance of the land Yehovah was giving them. That cluster was still hanging on the vine and was carried between the two men. We want to serve Yehovah the very first of our harvests, not the common or the rest of the harvest.

Num 13:22  And they went up by the south and came to Hebron, where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the sons of Anak were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

Num 13:23  And they came to the valley of Eshcol and cut from there a branch with one cluster of grapes. And they carried it between two men upon a staff, and some of the pomegranates and of the figs.

Num 13:24  The place was called the valley of Eshcol because of the cluster of grapes which the sons of Israel cut down from there.

We are doing this to help you stay in line with Yehovah’s timing. His First Fruits of the Barley and then the First Fruits of the Wheat for Shavuot. And the First Fruits of grapes two weeks ago on the 9th of Av. This means that the 1st of the 7th month is on August 25, 2025. And from that date you count towards the other Holy Days. We have them all listed on our website.

We went to check the Barley with four other people in February, and all of us said the barley would not be ready until March. We then kept Wave Sheaf Day on March 16, 2025. On March 17 and 18, Devorah and Becca both went out into the fields and stated that the Barley was Aviv and shattering in many fields. On March 30, Yoel HaLevi went out and observed that everywhere he looked in the Jordan Valley, the barley was shattering. He concluded that this barley was not harvestable and should have been harvested two weeks earlier, on March 16, the very day we had set aside for Wave Sheaf Day. But not one of these inspectors repented and changed their dates for Passover or any of the other Holy Days. But without exception, each and every one of them blamed the barley ripening so quickly due to the drought and lack of rain. As a result, the barley accelerated its development. We also have other friends who wish to remain anonymous, stating that we were right, and everywhere they went in Israel, from Hebron to the North, the Barley was shattered. They were confirming with us that our timing was correct, and at the same time, amazed that we would go there during a war and search for the barley.

Yehovah is the one who sends the rains and the droughts. Yehovah is in charge. He is testing all of us. Are you going to follow Him, or are you going to follow a human being with an agenda?

Not of these inspectors looks for the wheat, but one and she only looks for one specific species the, emmer. Yet all of Israel uses the domesticated wheat to feed the nation and it was first being harvested just as Shavuot for us was approaching. Again, another confirmation from the very land itself and from Yehovah that we were keeping the Holy Days according to the timing of Yehovah and not our own.

Now the grapes are being harvested. We have been sharing pictures of this with you on Facebook and in our newsletters for two weeks. It is about giving the very first of the fruits to Yehovah—the First.

Last Tuesday, a practice red heifer burning was conducted. A video from the drill was published on Israel National News.

In the drill, a red heifer that had been housed at Shiloh by the Boneh Israel organization was prepared and burned on a pyre of wood as preparation for the possibility of an actual ceremony in the future. The heifer was not suitable for the actual ceremony, as it had been inspected by the rabbis of the Temple Institute and judged to have non-red hairs, thereby disqualifying it. The heifer was burned on a pyre of wood precisely as specified in Jewish sources.

The practice burning was carried out at an undisclosed location in Samaria. The actual red heifer may only be burned at a specific location on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

The red heifer project is being carried out by the Temple Institute under the auspices of Rabbi Azariah Ariel. Any information or developments concerning the red heifer project can only be considered authoritative if the come from these sources.

It must be emphasized that this was a practice and not an actual ceremony done to produce the ashes used in purifying Jews for performing the Temple service. Five red calves were brought from Texas to Israel by Boneh Israel in September 2022. The event led to a flood of misinformation and false reporting, as well as claims by antisemites, Hamas, and Hezbollah that the preparation for the restoration of the Temple service by the Jews incited their attacks on Israel.

A similar practice burning was carried out in 2019 by Professor Zohar Amar, a Professor in the Department of Land of Israel Studies at Bar-Ilan University.

Israel is Fighting for the Druze. Why?

In Syria this week, from Sunday, July 13 to Wednesday, July 16, 2025, a slaughter of the Druze community in As Suweida took place. Hundreds of Druze were being killed by ISIS jihadists of Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohammad al-Julani, or just Julani, the new President of Syria, after taking the country over in December 2024. He’s a former al-Qaeda insurgent who fought against U.S. forces in Iraq and served time in the infamous Abu Ghraib prison. Still, on Wednesday, the new Syrian President, Ahmad al-Sharaa, stood on the world stage, shaking hands with President Donald Trump and achieving a major feat for his fledgling administration.

After meeting Julani in Saudi Arabia on May 15, 2025, President Trump signed a historic Executive Order on June 30, 2025, terminating the Syria sanctions program to support the country’s path to stability and peace. Trump urged Julani to meet specified conditions in hopes that it would stabilize the country. These conditions include normalizing relations with Syria’s neighbours, including Israel, as well as the United States.

On March 11, after Julani’s men brutally massacred 1,700 Alawites on Syria’s coast, Julani vowed to investigate and hold those responsible accountable. However, nothing happened – no investigation, no arrests. This week, the same ISIS killers were sent to massacre Druze civilians in Suwayda and once again, Julani promises an investigation and arrests will be made.

Understand this right from the start when dealing with any Islamic person. Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other… unless the purpose of lying is to “smooth over differences” or “gain the upper-hand over an enemy.” There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya (the Shia name).  These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam, in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.

Julani can lie through his teeth to gain or help further the cause of Islam in Syria.

The Druze were being slaughtered, and the world said nothing. Nothing! But when Israel struck a Catholic Church in Gaza by mistake and killed two, the world was upset with those Zionist pigs again. But nothing was said about the slaughter in As Suweida. Now, was anything said by the world this week when Fulani Terrorists Shoot and Slash 27, Including a 3-Year-Old in a Village near Jos, Nigeria? Nor has the world said anything about the Christian genocide taking place in Nigeria this year at all. Since 2000, over 60,000 Christians have been killed by these Fulani jihadists. 1000 as of July 17, 202,5 and this does not include all the kidnappings.

The world is blind unless it involves the Jews. This is precisely what the prophet Zechariah was saying about Jerusalem being a burdensome stone to the world:

The Lord Will Give Salvation

Zec 12:1 The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, says Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.

Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the peoples all around, and it shall also be against Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.

Zec 12:3 And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples. All who lift it shall be slashed, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

Zec 12:4 In that day, says Jehovah, I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness. And I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

Zec 12:5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The people of Jerusalem shall be my strength in Jehovah of Hosts their God.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came out this week and said the following which I think is very important to understand.

“I wish to update you on what we did in Syria, and what we will do in Syria.

We established a clear policy: the demilitarization of the area south of Damascus, from the Golan to the Druze Mountain region, is one line. The second line – protecting our brothers, the Druze in the Druze Mountain.

Both of these things were violated by the Damascus regime. It sent troops south of Damascus, into the area that was supposed to be demilitarized, and it began slaughtering the Druze. We could not accept that in any way.

Therefore, I instructed the IDF to act – and to act forcefully. The Air Force attacked both the murder gangs and the RPGs. I also added a target in Damascus to attack the Ministry of Defense.

As a result of this intense operation, a ceasefire was achieved, and Syrian forces retreated back to Damascus. This is important.

This is a ceasefire achieved through strength. Not through requests, not through pleas – through strength. We achieve peace through strength, quiet through strength, security through strength – on seven fronts.

This will also be the continuation of our policy – we will not allow army forces to descend south of Damascus, we will not allow the Druze in Jabal Druze to be harmed.

I want to share something that deeply moved me in the last two days. Sheikh Muafaq Tarif, the leader of the Druze in Israel, approached me.

He told me the following: ‘During the Holocaust, when you Jews were slaughtered, you cried for help, and no one came. Today, we Druze are being slaughtered, and we are calling for the help of the State of Israel.’

And I said – he is right.

We acted, and will continue to act as needed.”

Israel acted, and they did so in strength. And now they have an ally on the Syrian southern border in the Druze people.

Here is a map of the Druze regions in Syria in relation to Damascus.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said, “Syria could not move military south a straight line from the Druze to Druze Mountain. He just declared this whole area of Southern Syria off-limits to Julani and his ISIS thugs. That is almost half the size of Israel, and Netanyahu just took it for the Druze.

Israel has already moved into parts of Syria around the Golan Heights and Mount Hermon and taken up positions in what used to be UN positions.  But now they have just moved that line all the way up to Druze Mountain, across to the Druze just south of Damascus. WOW.

As horrible as October 7, 2023, was, the miracles that have taken place since then are absolutely stunning. Last year, when we went to look for the barley, a truce started on the Sunday we arrived, and the missiles began the Sunday after we left. That was for us. Now look at just how many were launched and how many or how few people died during these barrages.

Total Projectiles Launched Against Israel Since October 7, 2023

Since the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023, Israel has faced a barrage of rockets, missiles, and drones from multiple fronts, including Hamas and other Gaza-based groups, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and direct launches from Iran and Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Syria. As of July 17, 2025, the total number of projectiles launched is approximately 31,500. This figure includes:

• Nearly 30,000 up to June 1, 2025 (covering the first 600 days of the conflict, primarily from Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen).
• An additional ~1,550 during the 12-day Iran-Israel war concluding on June 24, 2025 (550 ballistic missiles and over 1,000 drones from Iran alone).

Breakdown by major sources (approximate, based on IDF and analytical reports up to mid-2025):

IDF statistics and independent analyses substantiate these numbers, although exact counts vary due to classification and failed launches that do not cross borders. No major escalations occurred between late June and July 17, 2025.

How Many Got Past Israeli Defences?

Israeli defences, including Iron Dome (for short-range threats), David’s Sling (medium-range), and Arrow systems (ballistic missiles), have an overall interception success rate of 85–90% for projectiles heading toward populated or strategic areas. Not all launches are intercepted—systems prioritize threats to avoid wasting munitions on those projected to land in open fields. “Got past” here means projectiles that were not intercepted and either hit targets or landed in Israel.

• Total estimated that got past: Approximately 3,000–4,000 (10–15% of launches), based on interception rates and reported incidents. Many (~60–70%) landed in uninhabited areas, causing minimal damage.
• Key examples:
  • Gaza launches: ~9,100 crossed into Israel by mid-2024; ~1,000–1,500 not intercepted.
  • Lebanon/Hezbollah: ~3,100 crossed by mid-2024; hundreds hit, including anti-tank missiles.

Deaths Resulting from Projectiles That Got Through

Direct deaths from rocket/missile hits total approximately 85–95 people (civilians and soldiers), a low figure relative to launches due to effective defences, shelters, and warnings. Most occurred early in the conflict or during saturation attacks. Breakdown:

These figures exclude the ~1,200 killed on October 7 (mainly from ground incursion, not rockets) and focus on projectile impacts. Injuries exceed 3,000, with many from shrapnel or blasts. Sources note underreporting of military deaths in some cases, but claims are substantiated by IDF and media reports.

Then there is the miracle of the pager attack, followed by the walkie-talkie attack the next day, and this was then followed by the taking out of Nasrallah and the other leaders while Netanyahu spoke at the UN. Then there was the attack again Iran itself, taking out all 98 leaders with precision strikes in which only two other civilians were killed. And in all of this, all of this time, not one Israeli pilot or plane was downed. Not One.

Israel has lost 888 IDF soldiers during this war since October 7, 2023. Although figures are fluctuating and disputed, the enemy has lost about 84,297, but claims many of them are civilians. This is a 95-to-1 ratio. Again, this is another stunning miracle when you think about it. As I think about this, I am thinking of Daniel who said:

Dan 10:4  And in the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Tigris,

Dan 10:5  then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man was clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz.

Dan 10:6  His body also was like the beryl, and his face looked like lightning. And his eyes were like lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet in color were like polished bronze, and the voice of his words like the sound of a multitude.

Dan 10:7  And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision. For the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great quaking fell on them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

Dan 10:8  Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me. For my beauty was turned within me to corruption, and I kept no strength.

Dan 10:9  Yet I heard the voice of his words. And when I heard the voice of his words, then I was in a deep sleep on my face, and my face was toward the ground.

Dan 10:10  And behold, a hand touched me, which set me shaking on my knees and the palms of my hands.

Dan 10:11  And he said to me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright. For to you I am now sent. And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.

Dan 10:12  Then he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come for your words.

Dan 10:13  But the ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days. But lo, Michael, one of the chief rulers, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Dan 10:14  Now I have come to make you understand what shall happen to your people in the latter days. For the vision is yet for many days.

The Lord Will Give Salvation

Zec 12:1 The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, says Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.

Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the peoples all around, and it shall also be against Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.

Zec 12:3 And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples. All who lift it shall be slashed, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

Zec 12:4 In that day, says Jehovah, I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness. And I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

Zec 12:5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The people of Jerusalem shall be my strength in Jehovah of Hosts their God.

Zec 12:6 In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among cut grain. And they shall devour all the peoples all around, on the right hand and on the left hand. And Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her place, in Jerusalem.

Zec 12:7 Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the people of Jerusalem may not be magnified above Judah.

Zec 12:8 In that day Jehovah shall defend around the people of Jerusalem. And it will be, he who is feeble among them at that day shall be like David; and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of Jehovah before them.

Zec 12:9 And it shall be in that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

In Zechariah 2:2 it says Israel’s neighbours round about. The word is sâbı̂yb, which can mean neighbours. Israel’s neighbours are being spoken of here.

From H5437; (as noun) a circle, neighbor, or environs; but chiefly (as adverb, with or without preposition) around: – (place, round) about, circuit, compass, on every side.

I must point out to you something you will not easily see. In verse 6, it says: and like a torch of fire among cut grain. What does this mean? I just went to find it in my latest book, but I was not able to find it at this moment. In A Lion Rises Up, The Coming of Apollyon, i show you how these grains set on fire are then used to make soap in a purification act. I apologize, but I couldn’t find where I wrote that. I guess you’ll have to read the book.

Israel is going to be under siege by its neighbours all around. Currently, Jordan and Egypt are relatively quiet. Look at the past 2 years. Israel has been on a 7-front war, all sides attacking it.  Verse 5 says And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The people of Jerusalem shall be my strength in Jehovah of Hosts, their God. And it is happening today. The people of Israel are abandoning their former bad habits and turning back to Yehovah. They know He is the one protecting them.

Verse 6: In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among cut grain. And they shall devour all the peoples all around, on the right hand and on the left hand.  Israel just bombed a bunch of Julani’s tanks, killing over 20 men. Then, on July 16, 2025, they bombed the Syrian Ministry of Defence in Damascus, which is similar to the US Pentagon. No one can stop Israel, who now have open skies across the entire Middle East.

On July 13, 2025,

A senior Iranian official claims that Israel deployed “the occult and supernatural spirits” during its war with Iran, Iran International reported on Friday.

He is right. It is Yehovah who fights for Israel, and you all have a front row seat to witness these events. Now consider Damascus:

Isa 17:1  The burden against Damascus: Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a heap of ruins.

Isa 17:2  The cities of Aroer are forsaken; now they are for flocks; they shall lie down, and no one terrifies them.

Isa 17:3  And the fortress shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the rest of Syria. They shall be as the glory of the sons of Israel, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Isa 17:4  And it shall be in that day, the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall become lean.

Isa 17:5  And it shall be as reaping of the harvest grain, and his arm reaps the ears. And it shall be as he who gathers ears in the Valley of the Giants.

Isa 17:6  Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three ripe olives in the top of the uppermost branch, four or five in the fruit-tree branches of it, says Jehovah, the God of Hosts.

Isa 17:7  In that day a man shall look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

Isa 17:8  And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, nor respect that which his fingers have made, either the Asherahs or the images.

Isa 17:9  In that day his strong cities shall be like a forsaken branch, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the sons of Israel; and it will become a ruin.

Isa 17:10  Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the Rock of your strength, therefore you shall plant pleasant plants and shall sow it a fresh shoot.

Isa 17:11  In the day of your planting you fence it in; and in the morning you make your seed sprout. But the harvest shall be a heap in that day of grief and dying pain.

Isa 17:12  Woe to the multitude of many people, who make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations who make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Isa 17:13  The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters; but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

Isa 17:14  At evening time, behold, terror! Before the morning, he is not! This is the lot of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who rob us.

Verses 4 and 5 continue to warn us of a coming famine. But in the coming years, people will turn to Yehovah, verse 7. So is Damascus a heap of ruins?

As of July 17, 2025, Damascus, the ancient capital of Syria spanning about 105 square kilometres and home to over 2 million people, is far from being a complete heap of ruins, though it bears significant scars from the ongoing Syrian Civil War and recent escalations. Historical damage from the conflict, which began in 2011, has primarily affected outlying suburbs such as Jobar and Irbin in Eastern Ghouta, where satellite analyses from organizations like UNITAR-UNOSAT identified tens of thousands of structures impacted, around 24,000 in total across greater Damascus, with roughly one-third destroyed or severely damaged. These areas, representing about 10-20% of the city’s expanse, were devastated by regime sieges, bombardments, and clashes up to 2018, leading to descriptions of “apocalyptic” rubble in isolated pockets. However, the historic Old City and central urban core have remained relatively intact, avoiding widespread destruction despite the nationwide toll of over 580,000 deaths and millions displaced.

Recent events, including Israeli airstrikes on July 16 targeting Syrian government and military sites amid violence in the Druze-majority Suwayda province, have added localized ruin without collapsing the city. Strikes hit key locations like the Defence Ministry headquarters in Umayyad Square, causing extensive damage to buildings, roads, and infrastructure there, with reports of rubble, explosions, and casualties numbering at least 3-5 deaths and over 19 injuries. While up to 200 strikes occurred nationwide, the impact in Damascus was concentrated in government districts, affecting less than 5% of the urban area. Overall, an estimated 15-25% of Greater Damascus remains damaged or destroyed due to cumulative effects. Still, the city continues to function as Syria’s political hub under interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa, with daily life persisting in most neighbourhoods amid calls for de-escalation from the UN and others.

This means there is yet more fighting in Syria that is going to take place. Specifically, Damascus itself. According to Amos Damascus, Gaza, Tyre or Syria, and Ammon Jordon are all going to be fought against by Yehovah in the very near future.

Judgment on Israel’s Neighbors

Amo 1:2  And he said, Jehovah will roar from Zion and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the pastures of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall dry up.

Amo 1:3  So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Damascus, yea for four, I will not turn away from it; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron.

Amo 1:4  But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.

Amo 1:5  I will also break the bar of Damascus, and cut off the dweller from the Valley of Aven, and from him who holds the scepter from the house of Eden. And the people of Syria shall go into captivity to Kir, says Jehovah.

Amo 1:6  So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Gaza, yea for four, I will not turn away from it; because they deported as exiles to deliver up a complete population to Edom.

Amo 1:7  But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour its palaces.

Amo 1:8  And I will cut off the people from Ashdod, and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon, and I will turn My hand against Ekron. And the rest of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord Jehovah.

Amo 1:9  So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Tyre, yea for four, I will not turn away from it. Because they delivered up as exiles a complete population to Edom, and did not remember the brotherly covenant.

Amo 1:10  But I will send a fire upon the wall of Tyre, which shall devour its palaces.

Amo 1:11  So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Edom, yea for four, I will not turn away from it. Because he pursued his brother with the sword, and cast off all pities, and his anger tore without end, and he kept his wrath forever.

Amo 1:12  But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

Amo 1:13  So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon, yea for four, I will not turn away from it. Because they have ripped up the pregnant women of Gilead, to make their own border larger.

Amo 1:14  But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour its palaces with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind.

Amo 1:15  And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, says Jehovah.

The Druze: Ancient Origins and Israel’s Protective Stance in Modern Conflicts

The Druze community, a unique ethnoreligious group numbering around one million worldwide, primarily inhabits the mountainous regions of Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan. Known for their secretive faith, strong communal bonds, and resilience amid regional turmoil, the Druze have long fascinated historians and geneticists alike. Their religion originated in the 11th century CE as a esoteric offshoot of Ismaili Shia Islam under the Fatimid Caliphate in Egypt, emphasizing monotheism, reincarnation, and a closed scripture accessible only to initiates. Ethnically, however, the Druze narrative is more layered. While they are often portrayed as descendants of Arab tribes that migrated to the Levant during the early Islamic era, scholarly theories propose a multifaceted ancestry that may include ancient Aramaeans—Semitic peoples who spoke Aramaic and dominated parts of Syria and Mesopotamia in biblical times. This potential link to Aram, the biblical son of Shem (Genesis 10:22), adds a intriguing dimension to their identity, blending Arab roots with indigenous Levantine elements.

Exploring the Druze’s ethnic origins reveals a tapestry of migration, intermarriage, and cultural fusion. Prominent scholars, such as Israeli Druze historian Kais M. Firro, have delved into hypotheses that connect the Druze to a mix of peoples, including Arabs, Itureans (an ancient Arab-Aramaic tribe), Persians, and Armenians. Early 20th-century explorers like Gertrude Bell and David Hogarth suggested the Druze emerged from a blend of southern Arabian migrants and the Aramaean inhabitants of the Levantine mountains. Similarly, the 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica characterized them as a “mixture of refugee stocks, in which the Arab largely predominates, grafted on to an original mountain population of Aramaic blood.” The Aramaeans, known for their kingdoms like Aram-Damascus, were indigenous to Syria and surrounding areas, speaking a Semitic language that became the lingua franca of the Near East. Studies show the Druze genome is predominantly Near Eastern, sharing strong similarities with Levantine Arabs, yet incorporating influences from northeast Turkey, Armenia, and northern Iraq—territories that overlapped with ancient Aramaean heartlands. Notably, a high prevalence of Y-chromosomal haplogroup L among Druze men points to prehistoric South Asian origins, rare in the Middle East, while other analyses reveal shared lineages with Cypriots and Syrians, possibly echoing Aramaic roots. The Druze’s closed society, sealed to conversions since 1043 CE, has maintained a distinct genetic profile through endogamy, preserving these ancient admixtures. Despite this, Druze in Syria and Lebanon overwhelmingly self-identify as pure Arabs, dismissing non-Arab theories as external impositions. The Midianites, nomadic Semites from the Arabian Peninsula, occasionally overlapped with Aramaeans in Near Eastern narratives, though no explicit Druze claim to direct descent from Aram exists. Nonetheless, these connections fuel speculative interpretations, especially among prophecy enthusiasts who see the Druze as a “remnant of Aram” in scriptures like Isaiah 17. This commitment was starkly evident in July 2025, when Israel launched airstrikes on Syrian targets amid sectarian violence targeting Druze communities in southern Syria. At the heart of this relationship are Israel’s 143,000 Druze citizens, comprising 1.6% of the population and concentrated in northern Galilee, Mount Carmel, and the Golan Heights—annexed by Israel in 1981. Reports detailed 30–200 deaths, including executions and looting of Druze civilians. In essence, Israel’s Druze defense intertwines citizen loyalty, familial solidarity, and geopolitical strategy, earning acclaim for averting massacres while sparking opportunism charges. As ancient origins like potential Aramaean descent enrich Druze identity, modern conflicts test their endurance, highlighting the Levant’s enduring ethnic and religious complexities.
