Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,
As I go about this week and indeed this past month, I am overwhelmed by the number of various groups in the Philippines out on Mission Trips to all the nations of Asia. They fearlessly go forward to proclaim Jesus to the nations. The more I saw this repeatedly, the more I thought about the prophecy that foretold they, yes, the Filipinos, would be doing this. Not Israel, not the ten tribes of Israel. No! The prophecy says the Pinoy would be out in full force proclaiming Yehovah to the nations just before His return.
I am able to witness them doing exactly this and sit here in awe of Yehovah, who said it would be this way in the end. This newsletter is to show this prophecy and to show the Philippines where they are spoken of in the Bible, presuming they do not already know this.
New Moon 6th Month
New Moon 6th Month
The New Moon to begin the 6th month was seen this Sunday evening July 7, 2024. The 5th month is a 30 day month. There are either 29 or 30 days each month. This means that whether or not the moon is seen, the 1st day of the 6th month begins at sunset Sunday evening, July 7, 2024.
We are now entering the 40 days of repentance leading up to the final 10 Days of Awe, which conclude on the Day of Atonement, which is on August 15, 2024, starting the night before. The Feast of Trumpets, the day and hour no man knows, comes on Tuesday, August 6, beginning at sunset the night before.
The new moon sighting to begin the 7th month on August 5th evening is going to be a difficult moon to see. This year could be a test for all of us. Will the moon be seen or not? If not, then all the Holy Days will be moved by one day. We all need to plan accordingly.
Here are the projected Holy Day dates if the moon is seen on the evening of August 5th, 2024.
Torah Portion
Torah Portions
We read through the entire Torah along with the Prophets and the New Testament, once over the course of 3 1/2 years. Or according to the Sabbatical Cycle which means we read it all twice over a 7-year period. This allows us to cover more in-depth rather than being rushed to cover as much as is covered on an annual basis. We allow all to comment and take part in the discussions.
Septennial Torah Portion
If you go to Torah Portion at our archived section, you can then go to the 7th year which is the 7th year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every News Letter. There you can scroll down to the proper date, and see that this Shabbat we could very well be midrashing about:
Genesis 24
1 Samuel 1-2
Psalm 49-50
Matthew 28 Mark 1:28
We are in the 1st Sabbatical Cycle in 2024-2025. We go through the entire bible twice in a 7 year cycle. This means we cover the entire bible once every 3 1/2 years. It gives us more time to debate and discuss each portion we read.
If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section, you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.
Join Our Sabbath Meetings
Join Our Sabbath Meetings
There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.
What are we doing and why do we teach this way?
We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.
The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.
Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.
Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.
Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.
We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.
We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.
Jas 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.
We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.
We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.
Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers songs and teaching from this hour.
Shabbat Services will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.
We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

May Your Name Be Found
May Your Name Be Found
The following is from our chapter in The Ten Days of Awe book.
During these 10 Days of Awe there is another concept of our names being written in “books,” more specifically in the “Book of Life.”
The expression is “May your name be found in the Book of Life.” And the response is “May your name also be found.”
The time when this expression begins is Yom Teruah, with the understanding that the root of the word teruah is “alert” or “alarm” or “to raise awareness.” This feast day is also the only one that requires two witnesses to announce the sighting of the crescent moon in order to begin the feast. The Feast of Trumpets is the only Feast Day that begins on the first day of the month; just like the other new crescent moons, it requires two witnesses. It is the Feast that comes at a day and hour no man knows. So, you must be alert, watching and ready.
The Bible indicates that blowing a shofar is almost always a summons, a war cry, an alert warning to prepare for something, to hail an arrival, or a wake-up call if one has been spiritually or physically slumbering.
It acknowledges and confirms that Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets, is the start of judgment on all mankind – a fitting time to blow the shofars as it warned of the coming danger. Judgment and not being found in the Book of Life is the danger you are to warn about for those who do not obey.
I hope to hear everyone around the world on the 1st day of Aviv 2024, blowing the shofar loud and then again on Yom Teruah later that same year. Get ready to join me and warn all of mankind on these days.
Yes, I said all mankind. The Feast of Trumpets and each of the Holy Days are not just for the Jews.
1 Behold, Jehovah empties the land and makes it bare, and distorts its face, and scatters its inhabitants. 2 And as it is with the people, so it shall be with the priest; as with the servant, so with the master; as with the handmaid, so it is with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor. 3 The land shall be completely emptied, and utterly stripped; for Jehovah has spoken this Word. 4 The earth mourns and languishes; the world droops and languishes; the proud people of the earth droop. 5 And the land is defiled under its people; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and have broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and they who dwell in it are deserted; therefore the people of the earth are burned, and few men left. (Isaiah 24:1-6)
The whole earth is being stripped. Although Isaiah uses a different word, בָּזַז bâzaz from Zb% he is still saying the same thing as we have been showing you in the word Choreph. The earth is going to be stripped and laid waste.
It is the whole earth that is being judged and found guilty of not keeping the covenant. It has to be the whole earth, all of mankind who must repent and return to the Torah, or their names will not be found in the Book of Life.
The first place I have found where the Book of Life is mentioned or spoken of is in Exodus.
30 And it happened on the next day, Moses said to the people, You have sinned a great sin. And now I will go up to Jehovah. Perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin. 31 And Moses returned to Jehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made themselves gods of gold. 32 And now will You forgive their sin! And if not, I pray You, blot me out of Your book which You have written. 33 And Jehovah said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book. (Exodus 32:30-33)
Isaiah also speaks of those who would be recorded in the Book of Life as being holy.
2 In that day shall the Branch of Jehovah be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth excellent and comely for those who have escaped from Israel. 3 And it shall be, he who is left in Zion, and he who remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem; 4 when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its midst by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. (Isaiah 4:2-4)
This Book of Life is also spoken of in the Psalms.
8 You number my wandering; O put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your Book? (Psalm 56:8)
28 Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous. (Psalm 69:28)
Let me say here the righteous are not those who claim to be followers of Jesus and are waiting for His return to be raptured out. They are not those who go to Sunday church every week. The righteous ones whose names will be found in the Book of Life are those who keep and DO the commandments, who keep the weekly Sabbath, the Holy Days of Leviticus 23, and the Sabbatical and Jubilee Years of Leviticus 25.
172 My tongue shall speak Your Word, for all Your Commandments are righteousness. (Psalm 119:172)
15 If you love Me, keep My commandments. (John 14:15)
21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. (John 14:21)
23 Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. (John 14:23)
10 If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. (John 15:10)
3 And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments. (1 John 2:3)
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome. (1 John 5:3)
6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it. (2 John 1:6)
This is what the 10 Days of Awe are all about: the repenting from not obeying Yehovah to now obeying Him and keeping the commandments of which the 4th one includes the Sabbath and Holy Days. Those who will not obey and refuse to repent will not be found in the Book of Life.[1]
[1] 26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. (Hebrew 10:26-27)
The Feast of Trumpets is the day the Messiah is going to come back on and begin to judge the earth. If you understand this, then when you read about the five foolish virgins, you will understand that they are going out to “BUY” on this same Holy Day that the Messiah comes. The five foolish demonstrate by their very actions they do not know the Bridegroom. If they did, they would not be buying on the Feast of Trumpets, which is a Holy Day when you are not to buy or sell.
1 Then shall the kingdom of Heaven be likened to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them. 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps have gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there be not enough for us and you. But rather go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came. And they who were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut. 11 Afterwards the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you. 13 Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes. (Matthew 25:1-13)
When Daniel speaks of the Book of Life at the end of this age, are you going to be found as one of the wise ones turning many others to righteousness? Righteousness as we have just read is the keeping of the commandments.
1 And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great ruler who stands for the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation; until that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the sky; and those who turn many to righteousness shall shine as the stars forever and ever. (Daniel 12:1-3)
Look at this word for shine.
H2094 (Ancient Hebrew)
H2094 = AHLB# 1158-G (V)
1158) Rz% (זָר ZR) ac: Spread co: ? ab: ?: The pictograph z represents the harvest. The r is the picture of the head of a man. Combined these mean “harvest of heads”. After the grain has been harvested and the heads of grain have been broken open, the heads are thrown into the wind where the chaff is blown away and the seed falls to the ground where they can be gathered.
H2094 (Brown-Driver-Briggs) זהר zâhar
BDB Definition:
- to admonish, warn, teach, shine, send out light, be light, be shining
1a) (Niphal) to be taught, be admonished
1b) (Hiphil)
1b1) to teach, warn
1b2) to shine, send out light (figuratively)
H2094 (Strong’s) זָהַר zâhar zaw-har’
A primitive root; to gleam; figuratively to enlighten (by caution): – admonish, shine, teach, (give) warn (-ing).
Are you going to be found as one of the wise virgins? Will you shine like the stars? Are you turning many to righteousness now? Are you teaching Torah, or warning others, admonishing them to return to Yehovah’s Torah? Are you helping those who are? Will you be found guilty of doing this work?
10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do his commandments: His praise endureth for ever. (Psalm 111:10 KJV)
According to Paul, those who work and those who help others to do this work of turning many to righteousness by sharing the truth will be found in the Book of Life.
2 I beg Euodia and Syntyche that they be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 And I also beg you, true yoke-fellow, help those women who labored in the gospel with me and with Clement, and others of my fellow-laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life. (Philippians 4:2-3)
Lord! Lord!
Lord! Lord!
You know what sin is. For those who don’t, John describes it for us very plainly.
4 Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, for sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4)
Lawlessness is missing the mark of the Torah, which is not keeping the law, or the commandments. The 10 Days of Awe represent these 10 years of awe from 2024 to 2033 when all of mankind must repent and return to obeying the commandments including the 4th or they will not be found in the Book of Life. Yehshua warns us that those who practice lawlessness will not be with Him.
21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? 23 And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness. (Matthew 7:21-23)
How many churches state openly that they do not have to keep the law? They say the law is done away with. Are these mega-churches casting out demons in His name? Are they feeding the poor and helping the homeless? Yes, they are. They are doing good deeds, but they will not obey Yehshua, their Messiah, who says He does not know them because they are lawless and will not keep His laws.
These large Christian groups do not keep the Sabbath or the Holy Days, nor are they keeping the Feast of Trumpets, a feast that comes on a day and at an hour when no man can know. And by their own actions, we can see they are lawless and will be told by Yehshua, ‘I never knew you, be gone’ – the most terrifying words in the Bible.
Look at what Paul says about the law concerning those who will not keep it.
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace 7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be. (Romans 8:6-7)
Carnal-minded people are not subject to the Law!
There it is right from the lips of the Apostle Paul. Each of us must make a choice. Either we are going to keep the law and be spirit minded and found in the Book of Life or we are not going to keep the law and well…It is quite obvious that those who practice lawlessness will not be found written in the Book of Life. Then what happens to them?
15 And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:15)
Christianity practices lawlessness as part of their faith. They will not keep the Sabbath or Holy Days, which are the very sign of Yehovah. Almost no one keeps the Sabbatical and Jubilee years, which shows you the chronology of history and future prophetic events. Most of those who call themselves Christian today are at great risk of being thrown into the lake of fire because they will not obey. I am stating this as matter of fact as possible in the hopes they might see the scriptures and understand. Yehshua also warned us of this event.
28 And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows. 32 Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in Heaven. 33 But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven. (Matthew 10:28-33)
The Soul That Sins
The Soul That Sins
We were told way back in Ezekiel that the soul does not live forever, as Christians have been taught. The soul that sins will die.
4 Behold, all souls are Mine. As the soul of the father, also the soul of the son, they are Mine. The soul that sins, it shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4)
Yehovah tells us a second time to make sure we understand just a few verses later in the same chapter of Ezekiel. Are you listening?
20 The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him. 21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins which he has committed, and keep all My statutes, and do justice and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. (Ezekiel 18:20-21)
The soul who will not keep the commandments and will not keep the Sabbath or the Holy Days or Sabbatical and Jubilee Years will die. I do not care how much you argue with me about the laws being done away or nailed to the cross. The soul who sins and does not keep the commandments will be told, ‘I never knew you, you worker of lawlessness,’ and that soul will be thrown into the lake of fire and die!!! They will not be found in the Book of Life. Notice, though, in verse 21, you are told that the soul who turns back to Yehovah and does keep those commandments, that soul will live.
The question to you now is: do you fear Yehovah enough to obey Him?
16 Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name. 17 And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him. 18 Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God, and him who does not serve Him. (Malachi 3:16-18)
The Book of Life
The Book of Life
The Book of Life is referenced seven times in the Book of Revelation. Let us read them and consider what is being revealed to us.
1 And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars says these things. I know your works, that you have a name that you live, and are dead. 2 Be watchful and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die. For I have not found your works being fulfilled before God. 3 Remember then how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments. And they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who overcomes, this one will be clothed in white clothing. And I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 3:1-6)
5 And a mouth speaking great things was given to it, and blasphemies. And authority was given to it to continue forty-two months. 6 And it opened its mouth in blasphemy toward God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, and those dwelling in Heaven. 7 And it was given to it to war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and tongue and nation. 8 And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain, from the foundation of the world. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into captivity will go into captivity. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed by a sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:5-10)
7 And the angel said to me, Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, that has the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to ascend out of the abyss and go into perdition. And those dwelling on the earth will marvel, those whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (Revelation 17:7-8)
11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And a place was not found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. 15 And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)
22 And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, even the Lamb. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 And the nations of those who are saved will walk in the light of it; and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 And its gates may not be shut at all by day, for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. 27 And there shall in no way enter into it anything that defiles, or any making an abomination or a lie; but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Revelation 21:22-27)
19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book. (Revelation 22:19)
I want you all to reread this last verse very slowly. Anyone taking away the Words of this Book of prophecy will have their name removed from the Book of Life. I say this to those who still will not keep the commandments, saying they are done away. You have removed the Words of this Book and are in danger of having your name blotted out. I say this with the knowledge of the scriptures that are again found in the Book of Revelation.
At the end of this age, the dragon is going to make war with those who KEEP the commandments. That time is directly in front of us.
17 And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:17)
Anyone who says he or she believes in Jesus, claims to have faith in Jesus, this is awesome, but that also means that they must keep the commandments.
12 Here is the patience of the saints. Here are the ones who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. (Revelation 14:12)
Abraham also believed in Yehovah and obeyed.
6 And he believed (H539 aman) in Jehovah. And He counted it to him for righteousness. (Genesis 15:6)
H539 Aman (verb) = to support, confirm, be faithful
This belief, or faith, translated into Abraham obeying Yehovah’s voice. Yehovah didn’t know Abraham’s faith until he obeyed His voice and offered his son.
12 And He said, Do not lay your hand on the lad, nor do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only one, from Me. (Genesis 22:12)
Abraham’s belief in Yehovah was the same as his faith in Yehovah. If you say you believe and that you have faith, then it means you must obey, which means you keep the commandments, statutes and laws of Yehovah.
5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My Laws. (Genesis 26:5)
With just these two verses alone from the Book of Revelation mentioned above, it is very clear that one of the signs of God’s people is that they are COMMANDMENT KEEPERS. This does not sound like the commandments of God being nailed to the cross, as many churches tell their congregants.
Those who keep harping that the commandments are part of the Old Testament and that we are a New Testament Church should consider these verses just in the Book of Revelation. Most assuredly, the Book of Revelation is found in the NEW Testament.
Let me drill down on this some more. Those who keep the commandments are those who do His commandments. These are those who obey Him and then are given the Holy Spirit.
32 And we are His witnesses of these things. And so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him. (Acts 5:32)
The truth is plain, simple, and VERY OBVIOUS. If you want to be found in the Book of Life, you need to keep the commandments.
With all of this in mind, now read the very last verses in the entire Bible and again notice who will have authority over the Tree of Life. It will be those who do His commandments.
12 And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according as his work is. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last. 14 Blessed are they who do His commandments, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and they may enter in by the gates into the city. 15 But outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and makes a lie. 16 I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright and Morning Star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one hearing say, Come! And let the one who is thirsty come. And he willing, let him take of the Water of Life freely. 18 For I testify together to everyone who hears the Words of the prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add on him the plagues that have been written in this Book. 19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book. 20 He who testifies these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly, Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen. (Revelation 22:12-21)
The expression “May your name be found in the Book of Life” is said during the 10 Days of Awe. It is a reminder that you must repent (“teshuva”) of your sins from breaking the commandments. You are not only to repent but also to pray for forgiveness (“tefilah”). You are also expected to make recompense for anything you have done or harm you have caused. This is done in the way of “tzedakah,” or good deeds. However, you only have 10 days to make the necessary changes, or you may not be inscribed in the books and sealed for the year.
The trials and tribulations we discuss in this book last ten years, not ten days. The 10 Days of Awe are ten Years of Awe—of repentance, prayer, and charitable works.
At the end of these 10 Years of Awe, which include the final 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation, may YOU be sealed, and may YOUR name be found in the Book of Life.
This has answered the question I have had on my mind for many years. I’m so grateful for this knowledge.
Amen.
This post reminds me of the parable of laborers in the vineyard (Matt 20:1-16).
“Many are called, but few are chosen”
Our Master calls out daily, throughout the appointed six working days. He goes out and calls early morning, 3rd hour, 6th hour, 9th hour, and 11th hour but few choose to answer His call.
