Hallowe’en & For When They Shall Say, Peace And Safety!

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,

It has been another busy week. I was interviewed on the podcast called Biblical Hitmen, and it is supposed to air this Shabbat. (https://www.youtube.com/@TheBiblicalHitmen) I am still watching for our second interview with CrossingFaiths to come out at any time now as well. (https://www.crossingfaiths.com/episodes)

Sombra continues to teach in Kenya this week north of  Nairobi at Chuka with Henry Mate. She has updated us on her adventure in Rusinga.

Ryan Nall continues to crank out more podcasts for you to listen to as you drive to and from work. You can also share them with friends and on your social media platform. And Congratulations to him and Emily, who just had twins on Wednesday.

I was in conversation with our brethren in Japan, explaining some of the details of the calendar issues. We hope to have our banners in Japanese very soon, and I hope we can return and continue to help them in their growth. At the same time, we are also working on having the banners in Spanish for our Spanish-speaking brethren. We are working on another tour to speak to them again this fall. We are in the process of doing another work in the Philippines. The details are being worked out as we go to publish this newsletter. So, yes, we have had a busy week.

This week, on the 50th day after we kept Yom Teruah, for the third year in a row, we had the release of all the hostages in one day, and this huge Peace Agreement signed followed this in Sharm el-Shiek, Egypt, but Israel and Hamas did not take part in it. Strange!! President Trump is pushing all the enemies of Israel to sign this agreement and, at the same time, expand the Abraham Accords. What is going on here? We hope to answer that in our article this week.

October 31, represents the date for Hallowe’en this year. Some of you reading this Newsletter may not understand the implications you show Yehovah by celebrating this festival. I will explain it for you, where this tradition has come from, and what it means.

Finally, I want to encourage you all to give the gift that keeps on giving. Give your loved ones a copy of It Was A Riddle Not A Command and tell them this book shows them precisely what day Jesus was born on. Let this book do for them what you cannot do yourself. Let it convict them as we get closer to the Christmas season. Then you can have that conversation you have been praying Yehovah will grant you by having your family in this walk with you. Get a copy and give it them today so they have time to read before Christmas. https://sightedmoon.com/riddle-lp/

The Thief in The Night | No Man Knows The Day or The Hour

Joseph Dumond speaking on “The Thief in the Night” and “No Man Knows the Day or the Hour,” this is a great teaching that will open your eyes to both of these Biblical sayings that everyone loves to quote.  Joseph really breaks it down in simple language that a 7 year old can understand.  I hope you enjoy this lesson and don’t hesitate to visit us at Sightedmoon.com.

Speaking The Word of God in Kenya | Interview with Sombra Wilson

Today is a special episode, and we are here speaking with Sombra Wilson, who is currently in Kenya, Africa.  She is experiencing such touching moments talking with the Kenyan people and teaching the Word of Yehovah!  We are indeed blessed by her testimony of how the people are discovering a new truth in keeping the Sabbath, and gaining a deeper understanding of the Torah.

She also quotes Isaiah 11:10 and describes how the Kenyan people understand Pathros to mean Kenya, as Kenya is at the end of the Nile.  What a blessing that Sombra has been able to do this great work for Yehovah in teaching the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.  We pray for the people of Kenya that they continue their search for Yehovah and find Him.

The Yoreh Rains Already Came? | Israel is Late on Keeping Sukkot!

The Yoreh Rains are the autumn rains of the year in Israel.  These rains signify that the feast day calendar of the year has come to an end.  While Israel and some other groups are celebrating Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles) this week, the rain has already come and gone!  On Sept 25th, not only was it raining, but it also flooded parts of Israel with a record-breaking 5 inches of rain, marking the first occurrence in 93 years!  This is Yehovah telling Israel that they are late in celebrating Sukkot.  Why pray for rain, Schmini Azaret (8th Day Feast), if the rain has already happened?  It’s a moot point to pray for rain while it’s raining.  They are keeping Sukkot this week, and it’s literally forecast to rain in October. 12th.  So, Yehovah is not only proving it to us once but twice that the Hillel calendar is a month late on the feast days.  The Feast Days of Yehovah are dictated by scripture, by the wheat/barley being ripe for the harvest and the sighting of the crescent moon.  While we were celebrating Sukkot in September, we didn’t see a single drop of rain.  It was sunny the ENTIRE time.  So, rain is the clue; if you see rain during Sukkot, then you’ve done something wrong.  You have swerved off the path a few degrees.  Let’s get back to the scriptures and start understanding when to celebrate the Holy Days of Yehovah at His appointed times.

How did you come to Torah!? | Interview with Sombra Wilson

Today we are having a conversation with Sombra Wilson who is also a member of the executive team here at sightedmoon. We are talking about how did we find Torah?

Have the Commandments of God Passed Away? | Interview with Consuelo Peregrina

Join Our Sabbath Meetings

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and you and I are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s, Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers, songs and teaching from this hour.

Shabbat midrash will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

The Stones Cry Out Part 1 & Part 2

The Stones Cry Out Part 1 & Part 2

Do you want to know how to prove the Zadok Calendar, the Enoch Calendar, and the Book of Jubilee Calendar false?

Do you want to know how the calendar issue became so confusing?

I got this awesome endorsement and I want to share it here now. with you.

In The Stones Cry Out, I walk you through the history of each change and why those changes came about, starting with the Maccabean days. Yes, it all began around 164 B.C. When Yehshua was here, he was dealing with two schools of thought. The Sadducees were all but wiped out when the Temple fell in 70 C.E. This left only the Pharisees, who began to be persecuted after the failure of the Bar Kochbah Revolt in 134 C.E.

The truth began to become out of focus around 160 C.E. when Rabbi Jose wrote the Seder Olam. This work originally was written to proof Simon Bar Kochbah was the Messiah. When that did not pan out the history was later revived and then redacted as the truth into the Mishneh Torah by Rabbi Judah ha Nasi in 180 C.E. After this the Jerusalem Talmud begins to debate these issues. It was then during this time as the Jerusalem Talmudist are forced to flee and the Babylonian Talmudist continue to grow until the 6th century that Hillel came up with a solution to help them keep the Holy Days at the proper time while they were out of the land of Israel. He did this in 358 C.E. This work was then modified and adjusted over the next 800 years with additions added and other rejected. Until it was finally redacted once again in 1177 by Rambam. And with that we now have the modern Hillel calendar which includes the errors passed on during each redaction. These errors included the time of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.

Once the Temple was destroyed in 70 C.E., the Jews recorded time by counting from the time It was destroyed. This is why the 40 tombstones of Zoar, which record this information, are crucial to understand.

When you understand why the Postponement rules were first created so that the crescent moon would not be seen in another part of the world before it was seen in Israel then you can understand how they were still trying to follow the crescent moon to begin the month. The Tombstones show us this exact thing. The tombstones also show us when the Jews changed from a crescent moon to a Conjunction moon to begin the month. They also show us when the Jews changed the year from the month of Aviv to the Tishri to begin the year.

I really want you to understand these things so you know why you do what you do as far as following a calendar to keep Yehovah’s moedim.

I would like to add this recent comment to encourage you all to get this book and learn these truths. And the Book is FREE. You have no reason not to get it.

Most people assume that Hillel created the calendar in 358 C.E. They then assume that because it was a Sanhedrin, they are not allowed to change in order to obey Yehovah. The Hillel calendar has been changed many times since 358 C.E. up until 1177 C.E. Few people talk about these changes but we do in our latest Book The Stones Cry Out Part 1 which is free on our website. The Hillel calendar was changed on many occasions and many sought to make other changes during this time. They never needed a Bet Din to approve those changes. They just did them. So this excuse that we do not have the right to obey Yehovah because the Bet Din has not approved it is a crock of crap.
You have the obligation to obey Yehovah. You have the duty to prove which calendar you are to go by. You must prove it beyond all doubt. Yehshua never followed the Hillel calendar. Nor did any of the Apostles.
The reason no man can know the day or the hour is because it refers to a crescent moon to begin the 7th month. That is the day He was born on and the day He comes to judge on. At a day and hour no one can know. Using the Hillel calendar predicts Yom Teruah years in advance so every one knows when to keep it. But even in the Hillel calendar they keep two days of Yom Teruah reckoning back to the sighted moon. Also in the postponement rules developed long after Hillel, they again state that if the conjunction is at a certain time then the day begins at such and such, in order that the moon will not be seen in another part of the world before it is seen in Israel. That was rule number 2.
Everyone has to choose. You have the right to be wrong. But if you choose to be wrong then you also must live with the consequences that come with sin. And that is the death penalty for not keeping the Holy Days, these Sabbath at the proper time. It is your choice.
Just because you write in to me to justify your position does mean it is right. It just means your sounding off.

Allow me to share this endorsement of our latest book again. If you have read our books, please share your thoughts about them with us in the comments below or email me.

And yes, many observe the Equinox.  There are many who are deceived, improperly educated.  And this is why Joe puts out a newsletter every week, why he writes books, why the SightedMoon Zoom Shabbat service started, why he travels to places like England and the Philippines to share this message and why were are going to the NRB in February.  The calendar is always a divisive issue in social circles because the details are many, that’s why there are so many books Joe has written.  I’m not looking to put Joe on a pedestal here.  This is not about Joe worship.  But Joe has tenaciously studied out the calendar from every angle, not to prove himself right, to to seek to find and share what Yehovah is telling us about His Calendar.

In The Stones Cry Out, Joe has shared the history of all the different groups within Israel, and the beliefs they had about the scriptures and the feast days and the calendar.  When you line it all up, you can see for yourself the how and why these misunderstandings and arguments about how and where and why  they came about.

This is my new favourite book and I’m only 60-70 pages in.  And I encourage you to read the footnotes in this one.  Sometimes there’s more footnote on the page than Joe’s words.

Sombra Wilson

When I wrote Stones Cry Out, I wanted it to be one of our FREE books so everyone would have it. It is more of an encyclopedia than a book to read. It will be your quick resource book; you will have access to every question about any calendar, how it got started, and who started it. You will also learn the history of how the Mishnah was assembled, when it was assembled and why. Then, you will learn how that information was transferred into both the Jerusalem and the Babylonian Talmud until it reached its final stage in the Mishneh Torah. Along with this progression, the calendar also progressed and changed long after 358 C.E. when Rabbi Hillel first published it. But…what was before the Hillel calendar? What does the Mishnah record about those things?

The Stones Cry Out was originally going to be one book explaining all the various proofs we have discovered, demonstrating when the Sabbatical and Jubilee years are throughout history.

You can know; it is not a mystery.

As I began to write The Stones Cry Out, I quickly found myself going back, time and time again, to explain how the calendar is behind the confusion of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Rabbis, as they began to write the Mishnah, incorporated wrong understandings, and those errors were written into what became known as the Talmud and then the Mishneh Torah. The expulsion from the land and subsequent persecutions in trying to send out messengers to report the barley being found or the crescent moon being seen, proved to be more and more dangerous over time. All of these things took place over 14 centuries.

Then as I was working on The Stones Cry Out, I discovered that many people were now accepting the Zadok calendar as factual. This is when we pivoted to include all the details of the various calendars that have crept back into public knowledge today and are being used to mislead new people who are just starting to learn about the calendar. All of this was directly connected to the period starting with the Hasmonaeans, up to the destruction of the Temple. Then, with the compiling of the Mishnah, the studies that led into the writing of the Jerusalem Talmud, then the Babylonian Talmud and finally the Mishneh Torah, each error that was added is compounded over time.

The Stones Cry Out, Part 1 explains the history of how each compilation of the Oral Torah incorporated errors, leading the followers thereof away from the actual Torah. In understanding these facts, it is then possible to understand more readily how the Sabbatical and Jubilee years were then mixed and later changed. By explaining all this history, I will be able to help you the reader understand the tombstones when most authorities do not. They have assumed, to their error, the Hillel calendar to have always been in use since Mount Sinai. Not understanding the history of the calendars is why most authorities dismiss the tombstones as too confusing to use. Once you understand The Stones Cry Out Part 1, Part 2 will be very easy to grasp.

Daniel 7:25 tells us he will change the appointed seasons and commandments. Many assume Constantine did this when he made Sunday the Sabbath. Few have considered the calendar’s many changes and how they relate to us today. Hidden in this proverbial swamp of confusion is the truth about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. The Sabbatical and Jubilee years reveal the truths about the calendar that have been hidden for almost 2000 years.

We are in the very last days and Yehshua warned us that during this time:

Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.

Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.

Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end, the same shall be kept safe.

Paul also warned Timothy about these last days, warning that some would leave the truth and begin to follow demonic teachers:

1Ti 4:1 But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,

Paul again warned the Thessalonians that the Great Falling away would take place in the last days. How can you fall away if you have never come to know the truth? So who is Paul talking to? Those who are called and answer that calling begin to walk this road of restoration back to Yehovah, and then at some point along that walk, they change and leave this walk following the teachings of demons to false calendar.

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, my brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,

2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand.

2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,

2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.

We must endure until the end. We must not let ourselves become offended by personalities and leave the faith once given.

I want you all to have access to and the ability to read this book and use it as a reference. https://sightedmoon.com/the-stones-cry-out-lp/ Click on the link fill in the form and you will have access to the FREE PDF anywhere in the world. It Was A Riddle Not A Command

It Was A Riddle Not A Command

Listen to this Podcast discussing one of Joseph’s most popular books.

You Can Learn the Secret Meaning of:

No One Knows the Day of the Hour

Why does no One Know When Jesus was born?

When Does the Thief in the Night Come?

Why Are the Foolish Virgins Rejected?

No One Knows The Day or The Hour is a Hebrew idiom or parable.

Jesus spoke in parables to conceal His message which He later explained to the Apostles.

No One Knows The Day or the Hour is telling you the very day He will come back on!

The exact opposite to what you thought it said!

This is the very same day when He first came.

The Book of Revelation Tells you the very day and hour He was born.

You are given clues in Revelation about the thief that comes in the night, about being caught naked and ashamed. All of these clues tell you about the very day He is coming back.

Paul wrote to the Thessalonians telling them they had no need to write them about the Day of the Lord

FOR THEY KNEW FULL WELL THE MOEDIM!!!

Knowing the Moedim shows you the Day and Hour No Man Can Know.

We are also told about the Two Witnesses in the Book of Revelation…
What revelations do the Two Witnesses show you about the birth of Jesus?

There was a heavenly Host praising God when Jesus was born.
This, too, tells you the Day He was born.

Are you aware that the 5 Foolish Virgins did not understand what the Thief in the Night was?
Do You?

All these questions and so much more are explained in detail.
It was a Riddle for us to figure out.
It was not a command that we could not know.
We can KNOW.
YOU Can Know!

Thoroughly researched and profoundly significant!

5.0 out of 5 stars

There just isn’t a better book on Christian prophecy than this! What an eye opener!

Of the many books and articles that I have read on prophecy in my personal search for truth, this is the only one that does not rely on old ideas that were developed hundreds of years ago when knowledge was minimal. So much more has been learned through historical and archeological research. The world has changed so much that before now no one could have clearly envisioned how prophecy might play out.

I think the average Christian doesn’t realize that recent developments in technology and huge increases in knowledge offer us a unique opportunity to raise the veil so that we might see clearly what was once hidden behind a dark glass.

After learning about these things and seriously considering the Bible, with a willingness to set aside my traditional beliefs about prophecy, I have come to the conclusion that this book is inspired by God. Mr. Dumond presents compelling information that overturns long held assumptions and unverified beliefs making the entire body of prophetic knowledge fully accessible. As a matter of fact I think that just about anyone with no previous knowledge of the Bible would understand things that scholars have devoted their lives to explaining.

I would like everyone to know what is being shown in the pages of this book. No serious truth seeker should pass up the opportunity to have their eyes opened through its revelations. I believe it is the most important book ever written,- next to the Bible itself.

Thank you Joseph Dumond.

Why Are We Keeping The Feasts A Month Ahead of Everyone Else?

Why Are We Keeping The Feast A Month Ahead of Everyone Else?

We are in the 40 days of repentance leading up to the Day of Atonement when the books are closed. If your name is not found in that book, then you will not be in the Kingdom. Many people are unaware of the significance of the Feast Days. They are found in Leviticus 23, and they are for all mankind. They are not just for the Jews.

Exo 12:49 There shall be one law to the native, and to the visitor that stays among you.

Lev 24:22 One judgment shall be for you whether an alien or a native; for I am Jehovah your God.

Num 9:14 And if a stranger shall live among you, and prepares the Passover to Jehovah, he shall do according to the ordinance of the Passover, and according to its ordinance. You shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger and for him that was born in the land.

Num 15:15 One ordinance for you of the congregation and also for the stranger that resides with you, an ordinance forever in your generations. As you are, so the stranger shall be before Jehovah.

Num 15:16 One law and one way shall be for you and for the stranger that lives with you.

In the Kingdom of God, there will be one law. The same law that has always been. It is and has always been men who have changed Yehovah’s laws.

Mal 3:6 For I am Jehovah, I change not. Because of this you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.

Mal 3:7 From the days of your fathers, you have turned aside from My statutes, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. But you say. In what way shall we return?

The current Hillel calendar came to be created in the year 358 C.E. But on the Tombstone of Zoar they did not begin to implement it until 432 and 444 C.E. Those are the earliest dates I can find where they changed record keeping from Aviv to Tishri to begin the year and from using the crescent moon to begin the month to using the conjunction moon. We have recorded this in our books, The Stone Cry Out, Part One and Two. You can get your free copies at https://sightedmoon.com/the-stones-cry-out-lp/. Just click on the link, fill in the form, and start reading right away.

At Sightedmoon.com, we have learned when each calendar came into creation. We have documented those dates in The Stone Cry Out books. The Enoch, Zadok, Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Book of Jubilee Calendars all can be easily proven false, and we show you how to do that in The Stones Cry Out.

This week, I am showing you the calendar Yehovah uses. The same one that the Mishnah records was being used before the Temple was destroyed. The Mishnah was the first book written to record the ceremonies that took place at the temple. They wanted a record because they feared they would not be going back for many years. Rabbi Akiva began this collection before 135 C.E., when he was killed at the end of the Bar Kochba Revolt. That was 65 years after the Temple was destroyed. Rabbi Yehuda then redacted his notes and created the Mishnah in 180 C.E., 110 years after the temple was destroyed and 150 years after Yehshua was killed.

You can read about the Barley ceremony at this link from the Mishnah and this one as well. You can read about the First Fruits of Wheat and then the first fruits of wine, figs, pomegranates, dates and olives at this link.  Yes, I am giving you the links so you can look them up yourselves. The first fruits of each species was given at a specific time of year. Barley was given on Wave Sheaf Day during the 7 Days of Unleavened Bread. This was the first Chag or going up to the Temple. The second Chag was Shavuot, when the first fruits of wheat made into two loaves were offered up. The third Chag was at Sukkot when the first fruits of wine, along with the figs, pomegranates, dates and olives were offered.

None of these first fruits depended on the equinox. They were entirely dependent on Yehovah’s decision to make them ripe, which could be achieved by sending the rains or stopping them. In the video you are about to watch, you will hear the witnesses testify how the drought made the crops ripen earlier. Yes, Yehovah did that. But you will also hear how none of them changed their position to come alongside Yehovah once they saw the evidence.

We are now in the final 10 years of awe leading up to the time Satan will be locked away at Atonement in 2033. We, as the bride, must be making ourselves white and being spotless. This means perfecting our walk and not remaining the same for convenience’s sake. But when we see errors, we change and repent.

I pray that each of you watches this video and then shares it each day on your social platforms until the Feast of Trumpets comes, and we then know when the fall feast days are. You can find them on our website at Sightedmoon.com.

The Yoreh Rains Arrive:

Record-Breaking Rainfall in Israel Signals Blessings for the Coming Season

Brethren, as the prophetic clock ticks onward in these last days, we behold Yehovah’s hand moving mightily over the Land of Israel. Just ten days after we faithfully observed the Feast of Sukkot from September 8 to 14, culminating in Shemini Atzeret on September 15, 2025, in accordance with His appointed times in Leviticus 23, the skies have rent open with the first mighty rains of the season. This unprecedented deluge, shattering records nearly a century old, heralds the biblical Yoreh rains—the early showers that awaken the earth for sowing and signal Yehovah’s favour upon those who heed His calendar. In this prophetic update, we delve into the meaning of the Yoreh rains, recount today’s rainfall across the regions, recite the ancient Geshem prayer, and reveal its profound implications for the barley reaching Aviv. Moreover, we expose the divergence in calendar reckonings, as the rains confirm our sighted moon determination, arriving a month prematurely according to the Hillel calendar and those aligned with it. As the end times unfold, these signs urge us to watch and prepare, for Yehovah’s judgments and blessings are at hand.

Understanding the Yoreh Rains in Israel

In the sacred Land of Israel, the seasons are not as the nations divide them into four seasons, but as Yehovah has ordained: only two distinct periods—summer and winter. As expounded in an article on SightedMoon.com titled “The Two Seasons of Israel,” the Scriptures reveal no mention of spring or fall, but rather a dry summer of harvest and a wet winter of rains and growth. Quoting from the site: “The Bible speaks of only two seasons: summer and winter. Summer is the time of harvest, and winter is the time of rain and planting. This aligns with:

Genesis 8:22: ‘While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.’”

This binary cycle underscores Israel’s dependence on Yehovah’s rains, with the Yoreh marking the transition from summer’s dryness to winter’s renewal.

The term “Yoreh” derives from the Hebrew root yarah, signifying “to shoot” like arrows or “to teach,” as the rains instruct the people to ready their fields and homes. In Deuteronomy 11:14 (MKJV), Yehovah promises:

Deuteronomy 11:14 “I will give the rain of your land in its due season, the former rain [Yoreh] and the latter rain [Malkosh], that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.”

These Yoreh rains, typically commencing in the 8th month, soften the hardened soil for plowing and seeding winter crops such as barley and wheat. They are gentler and intermittent compared to the Malkosh, yet without them, the land languishes in drought—a prophetic warning of Yehovah’s withholding for disobedience.

Prophetically, these rains echo Yehovah’s covenant faithfulness. In Joel 2:23 (MKJV), we read:

Joel 2:23 “Be glad then, sons of Zion, and rejoice in Yehovah your God. For He has given you the former rain according to righteousness, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain in the first month.”

And Zechariah 10:1 (MKJV) exhorts:

Zechariah 10:1 “Ask rain from Yehovah in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah shall make storm clouds, and He gives them showers of rain, grass to everyone in the field.”

These verses foretell restoration and abundance for the obedient remnant, pointing to the ultimate outpouring of Yehovah’s Spirit in the last days.

Historically, the Yoreh follows Sukkot, when Israel prays for rain on Shemini Atzeret through the Geshem prayer. Let us recite this ancient piyyut, invoking Yehovah’s mercy:

“Yehovah is designated the ruler of rain;

He commissions clouds from the ends of the earth;

Lightning and windstorms he makes;

His thoughts bring condensation and droplets;

For the benefit of His land and all His creatures,

He commands the clouds to perform their task.

Remember Abraham whose righteousness flowed like water…

For Abraham’s sake, grant an abundance of water.

Remember Isaac, who was bound like water poured on the altar…

For Isaac’s sake, bless us with dew.

Remember Jacob, who crossed the Jordan on his staff…

For Jacob’s sake, do not keep back water.

Remember Moses in his basket of reeds drawn from the Nile…

For Moses’ sake, provide water as a teacher of righteousness.

Remember the Twelve Tribes who crossed the Straits…

For their sake, provide water to those who thirst for You.

For You are Yehovah our God

Who causes the wind to blow and the rain to fall.

For blessing and not for curse. Amen.

For life and not for death. Amen.

For plenty and not for famine. Amen.”

This prayer, chanted with fervor, acknowledges Yehovah as the sovereign over the elements, tying rain to the merits of the patriarchs and our covenant walk.

Today’s Rainfall in Israel: Amounts and Regions Affected

On this prophetic day, September 25, 2025, Yehovah has unleashed a torrent upon Israel, inaugurating the rainy season with force and breaking 93-year-old September records. The Israel Meteorological Service reports heavy downpours concentrated in the north, with echoes in central areas.

  • Northern Israel (Galilee and Coastal Plain): Nahariya received over 130 mm (5.1 inches), while Shavei Zion exceeded 125 mm (4.9 inches), surpassing the 1932 record. Flooding gripped lowlands near Acre and the Western Galilee, with widespread totals over 100 mm.
  • Central Israel (Jerusalem and Tel Aviv): 20-50 mm fell, adding to early seasonal accumulations.
  • Southern Israel (Negev): Sparse or absent, as the storm favored the north.

This early intensity portends a bountiful winter, replenishing reservoirs in Israel’s varying climate—abundant in the north (500-700 mm annually) but scarce in the Negev (<100 mm).

The Significance for the Barley Being Aviv—and When

Now, brethren, let’s connect this to the heart of our calendar observance: the Aviv barley. As detailed in Exodus 12:2 and Leviticus 23:10-14, the biblical year begins in the month of Aviv (or Abib), when the barley crop in Israel reaches a stage of ripeness suitable for the Wave Sheaf Offering during Unleavened Bread. “Aviv” means “green ears” or “tender,” indicating barley that’s mature enough to be parched by fire but not fully ripe—typically inspected in late February to March.

The Yoreh rains play a pivotal role here. These early showers, arriving after Sukkot, moisten the soil for farmers to plant barley in October-November. Without them, seeds struggle to germinate, delaying growth and potentially pushing the Aviv stage later into spring. Conversely, timely—or in this case, early—Yoreh rains like today’s record event allow for prompt sowing, fostering robust development through winter. This could lead to an earlier Aviv declaration in March 2026, aligning the next year’s Holy Days accordingly.

Why is today’s rain especially significant? We at SightedMoon.com kept Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret early this year (September 8-15), based on the sighted new moon and prior Aviv reports, heeding Yehovah’s command to observe the feasts in their appointed times. Scripture ties rain to obedience (Deuteronomy 28:12), and the arrival of these rains just after our assembly echoes the ancient call to pray for rain on Shemini Atzeret. It’s as if Yah is affirming our calendar: the dry season has ended, and blessings are pouring forth to prepare the land for the barley that will herald the 2026 biblical year.

In past years, such as the 2025 Aviv inspections in March, barley conditions varied by region—warmer areas like the Jordan Valley ripening first. With this early Yoreh, we anticipate strong growth, potentially allowing Aviv by mid-March 2026, setting Passover around April. This underscores the importance of watching the Land: as the rains fall, so does the cycle of restoration continue.

Brethren, let this rain remind us of Yah’s faithfulness. As Hosea 6:3 declares, “He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” Stay vigilant, keep the feasts, and watch for the signs in the barley fields. For updates on sightings and reports, visit SightedMoon.com.

Shalom, and may the rains bring abundance.

Brethren, these rains are no mere weather event; they are a divine proclamation, aligning with Yehovah’s prophetic timeline. The Aviv barley inspections, crucial for determining the biblical year’s start:

Exodus 12:2, MKJV: “This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you”

Involve meticulous searches in key regions like the Jordan Valley, Jezreel Valley, and coastal plains. Inspectors examine barley for the “Aviv” stage—green, tender ears that can be parched but not yet brittle. This typically occurs in late February to March, with warmer lowlands ripening first. Multiple witnesses confirm fields with sufficient Aviv barley for the Wave Sheaf Offering (Leviticus 23:10-14), ensuring no famine or delay.

Leviticus 2:14, MKJV: “And if you offer a food offering of your firstfruits to Yehovah, green ears roasted by fire, grains of a garden, you shall offer as the food offering of your firstfruits”

The Yoreh rains initiate this cycle by enabling October-November planting. Today’s early Yoreh prophesies robust growth, potentially advancing Aviv and Passover, to early to mid-March 2026. Yet, the Malkosh rains hold equal prophetic weight—the latter showers of February-March that swell the grains for harvest. As Joel 2:23 foretells, they ensure ripeness, symbolizing Yehovah’s full blessing and the spiritual latter rain of revival before the great and terrible Day of Yehovah (Joel 2:31).

In 2025, Yoel Halevi of Hebrew in Israel, reported the barley shattered throughout the Jordan Valley on March 30, indicating it was overripe and should have been harvested 2 weeks prior. Devorah of Devorah’s Date Tree noted Aviv and shattering barley on March 17. Becca Biderman of Ancient Path New Moon confirmed the barley was Aviv and shattering on March 18. Yet, none altered their testimony to declare the first month accordingly; instead, they aligned with the Hillel calendar, commencing Nisan around April 2025. Now, these Yoreh rains arrive precisely on time per our sightedmoon.com reckoning—post-Shemini Atzeret (September 15, 2025—while deeming a month too soon for the Hillel adherents who are starting Sukkot about October 6, 2026. This divergence warns of deception in these end times; Yehovah affirms the true calendar through His signs

Genesis 1:14, MKJV: “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years”.

As Hosea 6:3 (MKJV) prophesies:

Hosea 6:3 “Then we shall know, if we follow on to know Yehovah. His going out is prepared as the morning; and He shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.”

Brethren, these showers herald judgment and mercy—repent, align with Yehovah’s times, and watch the barley fields for the coming year. For sightings and prophetic insights, stay tuned to SightedMoon.com.

Shalom, and may Yehovah’s rains usher in the final harvest.

More rains across Israel today. It is now coming down during Sukkot. Video to follow.

Update from Sombra in Kenya

Update from Sombra in Kenya

Joe has been encouraging me to keep a journal and I have.  Joe has been encouraging me to speak to Ryan to do a podcast and I have.  Joe has been encouraging me to write the newsletter report… and I have been so tired that I have not been able to write until now. It is Thursday afternoon here in Kenya, which means this newsletter goes out in a few hours from North America.  I need to get on with this!

I had thought writing my journal would make it easy to just cut and paste into the newsletter, but the message would still have needed editing, so I am just going to write to you a fresh message from my heart.  Many of you have seen my Facebook posts anyhow, or the Telegram posts.  You all deserve fresh words, not reposts.

We arrived in Kenya on October 2.  It feels like a lifetime ago.  Even our few days in Nairobi before going to Rusinga feels like a lifetime ago.  But it was full of tourism. We went to the Nairobi National Museum and learned the history of this country, the influence of the British and Arabs, the new birth as a nation and the succession of Presidents and the way they ran the economy.  Stuart, being an economist and teaching money and banking was very interested in their Numismatics display.  He could have stayed there 2 hours, and felt let down he only had about 15 minutes there to explore.  We visited the Nairobi National Park and saw so many of the featured animals. It is a park completely within the city of Nairobi, featuring giraffe, antelope, water buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, lions, hyenas, leopards, monkeys, cheetahs, and smaller cats who look similar… and dozens and dozens of bird types.  We also visited the Karen Blixen Museum. If you have ever read Out of Africa, or seen the movie, this is the woman who wrote this book, her memoires.  She planted a coffee plantation, but it was the wrong variety of coffee plant so it failed, but the land is now a most beautiful part of Nairobi.  When we get back to Nairobi on Monday, we hope to got to the Railway Museum and the Ngong Hills  (which has a zipline which we have missed partaking of because of weather and time restrictions the last 2 trips we have been on).

Now on to the real exciting stuff, the stuff Yehovah has done while we are here.

As soon as I entered the church at Rusinga, a church which is called both Mbita Gospel Church and Rusinga House of Torah, I broke out in tears.  To know that I have been part of the building of this edifice, this place where this community can gather to worship was beyond what words can express.  Philemon took the moment to pray, and then excused himself to also shed tears of joy in private outside away from this little crowd.

We got to work putting up the banners in preparation for the morning’s teaching.  Stuart gave detailed instruction, just as Joe had instructed him at Sukkot, so that Henry, Philemon and Telesphore would all know how to build the frame and dress it with the cloth banner.  I have left the banners here in Kenya for these three to use.  I write to you from Chuka nearly a week after the crusade. The banners have been couriered here and I I will teach them again at Henry’s congregation on Shabbat and help Henry to learn to present them as well.  These three men will now have the ability to teach all the Bishops and Pastors who have heard the message for a first time. They will go and teach when these pastors invite them to their crusades, teaching the many in their communities. The message of torah, the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles, and the End Times Prophecy will be shared far and wide in this African landscape.

The banners were up, and then it was off to the hotel, for a quick bite and some much needed rest.

In the morning we started with some introductions and commemorative moments.  The Wilson’s all planted a tree which, Yehovah willing, will provide much needed shade in  the children’s play yard in the future.  These watering cans were the first thing Pauline and I sent to the school way back when they first started the gardens where they grow food to feed the children.  We did help Philemon buy the land, and bought seeds and these watering cans to begin the garden, and the following year after that first planting was the Sabbatical of 2023.  They kept that Sabbatical year, neither planting nor harvesting, and Philemon says there was not one single day that the children did not eat that year.  All Praise to Our Heavenly Father, Our Bridegroom who has give us a Covenant by which we know how to be HIs Beloved Bride.  HalleluYah.  He provides for His Beloved.

This lovely woman is Jackie. She is the school principle. There are 4 teachers, one cook and 2 ladies who tend the garden.  All these serve these children for a very small income.  I brought some gifts for the school; some PJ library books, some crayons and markers, some little toys, and that loom for making the bracelets out of the little elastics that children like so much.

We began the teaching with learning to count from 7 from the year one, the creation of the world. We learned about the number 8 being a new beginning, and we learned the pattern of 7 Sabbatical Cycles in a Jubilee, and that the 50th year was the new beginning of the next Sabbatical cycle. This foundation is laid so that we can understand God’s pattern of 7’s and 8’s and  50’s which are present in His Covenant.  Very interesting that this day was October the 8th, and it was the 8th Hebrew Month.  These are things we humans can’t plan for. We just can’t. But when you see them, you can’t help but see that this is a new beginning for this community, a new understanding for those who attended the Crusade.  The number of times we repeated the message of the 8th day, or a new beginning, or even how to confirm a matter by the evidence of two or three witnesses.

If these three 8’s were not enough, we had another witness to a new beginning at the end of the Crusade when we visited Takawari Island and taught a little about God’s covenant there, on the first day of the week, where the Bishop Alphonce and his son BillClinton are determined to keep torah and teach their church, which already keeps the 7th day Sabbath.

On Day two, as I was opening up the message of the Daniel 9 prophecy, the power went out. That meant my presentation slides were not being shown on the big screen and my translation of all the scriptures from English to Luo were not easily available.  I then switched, on the fly, to a teaching on the tzitzit, a message I delivered by the Holy Spirit and not by notes.  I taught about the woman with the issue of blood being healed because she reached out and touched his Tzitzit. I taught that these were not magic, rather, that they represented a reminder to obey the commandments, and that her reaching out was her acknowledging she needed to be obedient. The Tzitzit also represent the wings that we, like baby chicks, need to remain under in order to be protected from the chaos of this world.  The woman was seeking Yehovah’s shelter, Yehovah’s covering in her actions.  This presentation was so well received that in the morning of the third day we actually made tzitzit for everyone to wear.  They all wore them with pride, realizing they needed to learn the commandments and obey them in order to be the wise virgins and not the foolish virgins.

This is Bishop Absalom.  Notice he’s wearing his tzitizit.  On the second day he came to me while eating lunch and confessed that he had been a major perscutor of Philemon when he had first begun keeping torah. Absalom believed Philemon had lost his salvation and was worshipping the devil. Now he is convinced he needs to be obeying the covenant and knows he needs his family’s support to teach the 70 in his congregation and the 180 pastors under his leadership.  I saw Bishop Absalom on Monday in Mbita, he was wearing different tzitzit. His wife had taken away his tzitzit saying they were strange. He made new ones insisting he was going to wear them in obedience to Torah.  Pray for Absalom. He has much fire to walk through to burn off the dross and come out purified on the other side, but I have full confidence in this courageous and humble man.

This is Pastor Amos in the suit making his Tzitzit.  He is from Nairobi, traveling 8 hours to come hear me teach.  He is a Pastor of a smaller church in Nairobi, and employed by a Parachurch organization that provides support to educate women in the Sudan who have been plagued by war and left destitute after their husbands and fathers have died.  The organization is headed by a German Christian man.  He does not face losing his income like Bishop Absalom because his income does not come from a Denomination like Absalom’s does.  But he does face losing his church.  He knows he must bring the message of Torah to his congregation, and changing from Sunday to Sabbath, from Christmas to the Feasts of Lev 23 will be difficult. He too will face persecution. but he is determined to obey and teach others to obey.    In the blue sweater beside him is Henry Mate who has been working with SightedMoon.com for a few years now, but suffered the loss of his wife two years ago and fell into depression. He has now remarried and has support to continue teaching, and felt very much refreshed and reinvigorated by my visit. I will keep Sabbath with him and Cecily tomorrow evening and Saturday with his congregation.  Henry took a video of our Sabbath Eve service and is looking forward to implementing the blessing of his wife with the Proverbs 31 in the future.

One of the messages we brought without words, without speaking it, was the message of the strength of the family. Stuart was called a few times to introduce me, and as he prayed for me, and spoke words of blessing and support for my work in teaching, what he showed these men is that they need to be praying for their wives, and encouraging the wives in all that they have been called to do.  When Stuart was saying Proverbs 31 over me there was a man who kept shouting. Stuart was uncomfortable thinking he was being heckled, but afterwards we learned, as this man came forward, that he was truly impressed by how Stuart was proud of my work and praying for me, he knew that he too needed to go home and bless his wife with word of encouragement.  The fact we brought Ronen too also impressed them that we were teaching this too our son too.  They see this as a passing of the torch.  It was a big thing that Bishop Alphonce had brought his son BillClinton, for Alphonce leads pastors in Tanzania and Kenya and wants BillClinton to follow him in this work.  BillClinton has been conversing with me all week, learning little bits as we discuss different things.  There is much mentorship work to be done here, continued discipling of the Torah one on one and in groups.

Joe’s presentation slides that I have used to teach tell us to briefly describe the curses of Leviticus 26 which have been doled out over this last Jubilee cycle.  What I shared was not brief in the slightest.  This really impacts Kenya, between weather and terror and war and famine.. the Kenyans definitely could relate to it all. Did you know that while USA was reeling from 9/11, in Kenya they were reeling from the bombing of the US Embassy in Nairobi. The war in Ukraine has severely impacted the imported food resource.  Weather related curses are impacting their food production. When I finally got to the plague of Covid in the Midst of the Week they knew right away the change that covid had caused the whole world.  Now here’s an interesting thing about this word Week.  While discussing with Jennipher, Philemon’s daughter on the bus to Rusings, she was helping me to make some translations in the teaching, but she was struggling with Daniel 9:27 when I was looking for the middle of the week – because the word “higni”  which is the word in the Luo bible means years, not weeks, so she was struggling to understand what I was looking for.  I had to take her to the Shabua definition to show her, This is EXACTLY why I’m here to teach this, this should have been translated as Jubilees, not years, not weeks. SO EXCITING! I couldn’t wait to teach the people. Henry was sitting behind Stuart and Jennipher. As Jennipher and I were talking, the man behind is asking questions, Henry jumped in to speak to him and invite him to the crusade. He could not attend, said he would watch on youtube live. I gave out bookmarks about October 7 to those who were on the bus with us.  Perhaps one day they will look up SightedMoon.com and learn about the S & J cycles themselves.

Those who did the translating for me were truly the heroes of the week.  They struggled to absorb these new concepts in English, and then quickly transmit the message in a way that would be understood.  Mr. David, Pastor  Robert, Molly, Tabbitha, Absalom and Philemon – True students, true heroes. Thank you so much for your tireless work.

On Shabbat I had planned to present the Leviticus 23 banner properly, as I had alluded to them, but did not really teach the message Joe and Pauline designed them to bring.  Well that never happened a that was the day we presented bibles to the 400+ in attendance.  We stamped the bibles with SightedMoon.com and an email so that they could contact us if they wanted any further teaching. We also tried to collect emails, but most did not have email, so we collected whatsapp numbers. We will have to add Whatsapp as a means of communication in the future to share the Newsletter.

And then we gave out blessings to the children.  Their uniforms are terribly threadbare and torn.  Most of these children are what we call vulnerable.  They are either raised by a single parent or a grandparent.  Without Philemon’s school, these children would have no education at all, as their caregivers have nothing by which to pay school fees.  This school is run completely by donation. In the past, the Mishpocha of SightedMoon.com have participated in providing funds to buy the land that is being farmed, building the church, putting in the play park, building the kitchen, providing water purifiers for drinking water, a water pump to water the garden, a generator to broadcast the teaching over loudspeakers to the community….. and now we are providing clothing and mattresses.

The crusade is now over, now we continue on with our other project, visiting universities and public officials to plan for this student exchange program.  We also will go Shabbat with Henry and his congregation and give the message once again.

Thank you all for participating in this mission through your donations to SightedMoon. I will continue to teach and mentor these people that they may get oil for their lamps and be found the Pure Spotless Bride at the Judgement Day.

I strongly encourage you all to move out of your comfort zone and share the message of Torah, of The Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles, of the Daniel 9 Prophecy, of the End Times teachings.  I know it’s a challenge, but be courageous. You were designed by Yehovah to be courageous, you have a heart of a LION within you, find your place to minister.  Tell one person.  Tell a small group.  Tell a large group. You’ll build the muscle as you do and you’ll feel the blessing from it.

50 Days After the Feast of Trumpets Three Years in a Row

50 Days After the Feast of Trumpets Three Years in a Row

At Sightedmoon.com, the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) is observed based on the biblical calendar, which utilizes sighted crescent moons and Aviv barley to determine the sacred year. This approach often results in dates earlier than those in traditional calendars, and the site’s teachings highlight how 50 days after these observances have coincided with significant events in Israel, which are interpreted as prophetic signs in the last days. These patterns, tied to Jubilee cycles documented by Joseph Dumond, suggest divine timing amid escalating conflicts. In 2024, the sequence following Trumpets not only marked attacks but triggered a dramatic shift, leading to the crumbling of Israel’s “seven-front war” involving Gaza (Hamas), Lebanon (Hezbollah), Yemen (Houthis), Iran, Syria, Iraq (militias), and the West Bank (Palestinian groups) by late 2026.

2023

In 2023, Sightedmoon.com kept the Feast of Trumpets on Friday, August 18, beginning at sunset on Thursday, August 17. Exactly 50 days later, on October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a devastating attack on Israel, killing over 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. This date fell during Simchat Torah on the rabbinic calendar, but the alignment with Sightedmoon’s count is seen as a fulfillment of warnings about desolation following idolatry, echoing:

Daniel 12:11 (MKJV): “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolation set up, a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

2024

In 2024, the Feast of Trumpets was observed on Tuesday, August 6, beginning at sunset on Monday, August 5. About 50 days later, on September 17-18, 2024 (42-43 days after), Hezbollah’s pagers and walkie-talkies exploded in a targeted Israeli operation, killing dozens and injuring thousands. Shortly after, on September 27, 2024 (52 days after), Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an airstrike. These events, occurring around the 50-day mark, are viewed as escalations in the “10 Days of Awe” from 2024 to 2033, paralleling judgments in:

Luke 17:26-30 (MKJV): “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it also shall be in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came and destroyed them all. So also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but the day Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed them all. Even so it shall be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

The Beeper attack and Nasrallah’s elimination marked a decisive turn, crippling Hezbollah and initiating the collapse of all seven fronts starting in 2024. Hezbollah, Israel’s northern adversary, was the first to fall. The operation exposed Iranian-supplied vulnerabilities, and Nasrallah’s death caused internal chaos. By early 2025, Israeli incursions dismantled rocket arsenals and tunnels, leading to Hezbollah’s surrender by mid-year, with remnants fleeing. This aligned with biblical judgment patterns, as in:

Isaiah 14:31 (MKJV): “Howl, O gate! Cry, O city! O Philistia, all of you, are melted away; for from the north a smoke comes, and no straggler in his ranks.”

Syria, hosting militias and arms routes, collapsed next. Weakened by civil war, the Assad regime fell in December 2024.

On December 8, 2024, rebel forces led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) seized Damascus, toppling the regime of President Bashar al-Assad after a rapid 10-11 day offensive that began on November 27. Assad fled to Russia, where he was granted asylum, marking the end of over 50 years of Assad family rule. The fall was confirmed by multiple international sources, including the French Foreign Ministry, CNN, Al Jazeera, and the Brookings Institution, describing it as a historic turning point after 13 years of civil war.

These events, along with Israeli strikes and uprisings by February 2025, caused the Iranian influence to vanish. Iraq’s militias withdrew shortly after, facing U.S.-Israeli pressure and domestic crackdowns, ceasing attacks by March 2025.

Yemen’s Houthis crumbled through naval strikes on ports by April 2025, with Iranian supplies cut off, leading to fracturing and peace overtures. Iran, the central proxy funder, fell in June 2025 amid economic ruin and revolts, with strikes on nuclear sites enabling regime change. In August of 2025, Israel decapitated the Yemeni Government.

The West Bank and Gaza saw de-escalation as backers withdrew.

2025

In 2025, Sightedmoon.com kept the Feast of Trumpets on Monday, August 25, beginning at sunset on Sunday, August 24. 50 days later falls on October 14, 2025. According to this week’s news, this date is expected to mark the release of all remaining hostages from the October 7, 2023, attack.

Three years in a row, approximately 50 days after we keep the Feast of Trumpets, a huge event takes place involving Israel. They are like trumpets or shouting, as the Feast of Trumpets means the Feast of Shouting. Shouting took place in 2023, again in 2024 with the beeper attack. Now again in 2025, with the release of all the hostages on October 11-12, 2025.

I am relating this to the time it takes the Two Witnesses to sight the moon on the Feast of Trumpets and then travel to Jerusalem, where the High Priest interrogates them regarding their credibility. Once they have been deemed credible, the High Priest proceeds to the steps of the Chamber of Hewn Stones and announces that the Day is Hallowed. The Day is Hallowed. Once this is done, riders then race from city to city and bonfires are lit to send signals to Babylon and the diaspora so they all know the Day is Hallowed.

Although the moon is sighted, it takes some time afterwards for all these events to unfold before the Trumpets are sounded and the people begin to shout, ‘The Day is Hallowed.’ The Day is Hallowed. Only then do we know that this feast day has started.

Next year in 2026, I will be expecting something big to take place approximately 50 days after we keep the Feast of Trumpets. As of right now, I expect the Feast of Trumpets to take place on Saturday, August 15, beginning at sunset the evening before. But we do not know if the barley will be Aviv or if there will be a 13th month this year. We do not know if the crescent moon will be visible on the evening of the 14th or the 15th in 2026.

Peace Peace Then Sudden Destruction

The phrase “peace, peace when there is no peace” originates from prophecies in the Hebrew Scriptures, warning of false assurances and complacency amid impending judgment. Jeremiah 6:14 (MKJV) states: “They have also healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.” Similarly, Jeremiah 8:11 (MKJV) repeats: “For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” These verses criticize corrupt leaders who downplay threats and proclaim superficial security, leading to disaster for ignoring Yehovah’s calls to repentance.

The New Testament echoes this in 1 Thessalonians 5:3 (MKJV): “For when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape.” Here, Paul warns of end-time deception where claims of “peace and safety” precede sudden calamity, likening it to labor pains—inescapable and intense.

These prophecies highlight a pattern: false peace lulls people into vulnerability, followed by swift ruin. In the context of current events as of October 9, 2025, the recent announcement of a “first phase” ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, brokered under President Trump’s plan, involves hostage releases, troop withdrawals, and a pause in fighting in Gaza. Leaders have reacted positively, with terms like “historic peace” being used, but timings and full implementation remain unclear. This may echo the biblical warnings of proclaimed “peace” masking deeper instability, potentially leading to the “sudden disaster” foretold—though this is interpretive and not a definitive fulfillment. Scriptures urge vigilance: “Prove all things, hold fast to the good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21 MKJV).

For when they shall say, Peace and safety!

Peace, Peace… But Is Sudden Destruction Next?

Reflections on Two Years of War and the Sharm El Sheikh Deal

Two years ago, on October 7, 2023, I was in Israel, immersed in a search for signs of the Abomination of Desolation amid rising tensions at the Temple Mount. I had warned Yehudah Glick, Keith Johnson, Nehemia, the Prime Minister, and the Sanhedrin of a sudden surprise attack, but to no avail. Suddenly, the world shattered: Hamas launched its brutal assault, breaching borders, massacring over 1,100 innocents at sites like the Nova Festival, and taking 251 hostages. I felt a raw, paralyzing fear—heart pounding, adrenaline rushing, uncertainty gripping me like a vice. Was this the prophesied war? Should I flee or stay? The air raid sirens wailed, and I could hear sporadic gunfire break out a few times while I huddled in my room, waiting for the Abomination to emerge. The concussions of explosions overhead, the screams from those at the Wailing Wall, the deserted streets—all flights grounded, crowds taking cover from missile attacks, shrapnel from those rockets landing on the streets. I was not directly in the areas Hamas attacked or near the horrific scenes where so many died or where others were taken captive, but today, the release of the last ones who have been held for 738 days brings both joy and sadness. I have not been the same since October 7, 2023. I knew from that moment our understanding was indeed very correct, as we hit the 1290 days to the very day with the Abomination being set up over the DJ tent at the Nova Festival—not at the church where I was looking. Wrong place, thankfully, but the right time. My mind raced at that time during the fog of war, with prophetic timelines from Daniel and Revelation, wondering if this was the tipping point toward global calamity. The chaos of a war on seven fronts mirrored the end-times warnings I’d been warning about—sword, famine, and captivity looming as curses for disobedience.

As I consider the past two years and all that has happened to us as well as Israel, my mind spins. Just six months after the war began, we did the Barley search in 2024, and they held a truce during those two weeks we were there. It began the day we arrived, and the bombing began a few days after we left. We have watched Israel take out Hamas, Hezbollah with the brilliant beeper attack as well as Nasrallah and all the leaders of these groups. Israel also took out the scientists building the bomb in Iran. They brought about the collapse of the Syrian regime and took over Mount Hermon on all sides. They allied with the Druze in southern Syria, caused Iraq to stop fighting. And Israel withstood the mighty missile attacks from Iran on a number of occasions and then stripped Iran of its defenses in a humiliating 24 hours. Israel, along with a strong USA under President Trump, ruled over the Middle East. No, YEHOVAH RULES over all the earth and He is here.

During these past two years, Sightedmoon.com was given the assurance of knowing the 1290 days was accurate, and this then leads to our confidence about the 2300 days next year. This year, it was revealed to us about the Thief in the Night and the meaning of the year 2024, the Red Heifer and the cleansing of the Levites at the end of the 2300 Days (July 12, 2026). So many pieces of the puzzle came together this year for us, that along with this war our heads spin as we try to make it make sense chronologically.

In the midst of this joy, we celebrate the great joy Sombra has shared with us from her time in Kenya. We recall our successful speaking engagements in the Philippines. We recall the great joy we felt at Shemini Atzeret and the wedding we reenacted.

Today, as Shemini Atzeret—October 14, 2025—begins on the Hillel calendar, it marks two complete years from the time the attacks began. If we count by October 7, it’s two years and one week. The war’s outbreak aligned eerily with 50 days after our sighted moon Feast of Trumpets, as did the beeper attack and death of Nasrallah and again this year with the release of the hostages. I wonder what this means exactly going forward.

Our fear from world events over the past two years gives way to a profound, almost surreal joy as we watch again the final freedom for the remaining hostages. Some moments of joy are so deeply felt, so shocking at how skinny the hostages are. Other moments are so unexpected, so ethereal, that you think you are having a dream. It’s a pinch-me, is-this-real kind of joy. Reports confirm 20 live hostages have been freed today, their reunions broadcast amid tears and embraces, a divine answer to prayer. Yet, this culmination of two tortured years brings wounds that won’t fully heal due to unfinishedness. 28 dead hostages remain captive or unaccounted for, their families enduring endless anguish. And we mourn the fallen: more than 1,152 IDF soldiers and security personnel have died since October 7, 2023, many in grueling battles across Gaza, Lebanon, and beyond. Count the cost—these brave souls, often young 18-22-year-olds full of promise, paid with their lives to defend a nation under siege. Their sacrifice, alongside civilian losses, tints our joy with sadness; healing and thriving doesn’t mean forgetting or ignoring. Around the world, we have witnessed the lies and misinformation propagating the hunting of Jews to assault or kill them. The hunters are indeed here now, and the time for fishing is growing thin.

It is like the calm before the storm of 1938, just before the final solution began to be manifested. Does this “Peace peace” lull us back to sleep once again, or do we take it as the warning it is? Do we get out there and warn those who will yet listen, or do we cower in our rooms?

All this is unfolding as the prophetic clock ticks louder and louder in my head. We’re nearing the end of this age, with the Jubilee cycles signaling the 2300 days of Daniel 8 wrapping up in less than a year from now in 2026, the two witnesses poised to emerge, and famines looming in 2027 to 2033. There is also Apollyon coming in 2028 and his plague of flies in 2027.

Today, this day, in this mix of the terror recalled over the past two years, the joy grasped again as loved ones are reunited, and the sorrow borne by those who now know their loved ones are not alive, we at SightedMoon.com get another glimpse of the great salvation Yehovah is working out. We, blessed with the Jubilee understanding, see how little time remains for repentance before the final shofar sounds. In the midst of this joy, we recall all that has happened in just two short years.

For me, today is both a completion of these past two years and yet another sign. When they say Peace, peace and safety…..

1Th 5:1  But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you. 1Th 5:2  For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. 1Th 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape. 1Th 5:4  But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you like a thief. 1Th 5:5  You are all the sons of light and the sons of the day. We are not of the night, or of darkness. 1Th 5:6  Therefore let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be calm. 1Th 5:7  For those sleeping sleep in the night, and those being drunken are drunken in the night. 1Th 5:8  But let us, who are of the day, be calm, having put on the breastplate of faith and love and the hope of salvation for a helmet. 1Th 5:9  For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1Th 5:10  who died for us, so that whether we watch or sleep we should live together with Him. 1Th 5:11  Therefore comfort one another, and edify one another, even as you also do.

On October 13, 2025—exactly 50 days after our sighted moon Feast of Trumpets—leaders from more than 27 countries gathered in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, for a historic summit hosted by Egypt to pave the way for peace in Gaza. The event culminated in the signing of a document outlining the groundwork for the Gaza peace plan, though neither Israel nor Hamas had representatives present. Key signatories included the United States (President Donald Trump, who led the ceremony), Egypt (as host and key mediator), Qatar (key mediator in hostage negotiations), and Turkey (involved in mediation). Other participants featured representatives from Arab nations like the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and potentially Syria, as Trump called Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa to encourage joining. European and international partners were also present, focusing on mediators and regional stakeholders committing to the U.S.-brokered framework. The signing followed the release of all living hostages by Hamas and Israel’s agreement to the ceasefire proposal.

The deal, formally known as Trump’s Twenty-Point Gaza Peace Deal, is a U.S.-brokered phased roadmap to end the Israel-Hamas war, starting with an immediate ceasefire and progressing to long-term governance, reconstruction, and demilitarization in Gaza. It was unveiled by the White House and approved by Israel’s cabinet on October 9, 2025, with the ceasefire taking effect on October 11, 2025. Implementation is monitored by international bodies, with progress conditional on compliance from both sides. The plan emphasizes “tough conditions,” including Hamas’s disarmament, and involves roles for the U.S., Arab partners, and a reformed Palestinian Authority (PA). Reconstruction costs are estimated at over $50 billion by the World Bank, funded internationally through a “Board of Peace” headed by Trump, but no specific U.S. funding amounts are outlined.

The 20 points are structured in phases: Initial agreements include a ceasefire, military drawdown, hostage/prisoner releases, increased aid, and troop deployments. Immediate efforts focus on stabilization via an International Stabilization Force, temporary governance, demilitarization, and economic reform. Long-term provisions ensure no forced displacement or Israeli occupation, redevelopment of Gaza as a deradicalized zone, PA takeover, guarantees by regional partners, interfaith dialogue, U.S.-led talks, no governance role for Hamas, a pathway to self-determination, and ongoing monitoring. Success depends on Hamas disarming and international support, with risks if phases fail.

More than 20 nations contributed through mediation, security commitments, and funding pledges, with the U.S., Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey as primary architects. Arab partners like UAE and Bahrain provide guarantees and join the ISF. It does not explicitly depend on agreeing for U.S. funding, but the Board of Peace monitors funds, and Trump urged broader participation for stability, implying aid incentives tied to normalization. U.S. involvement includes troops and leadership, but no direct funding conditions are specified.

This deal builds directly on the Abraham Accords (2020 agreements normalizing Israel-UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco ties under Trump). Trump urged leaders at the summit to join or expand the Accords for broader peace, including economic zones and security cooperation. It represents an extension, incorporating mediators like Qatar and Turkey, and potentially Syria, to foster regional integration post-Gaza stabilization.

Involving over 27 countries, this is unprecedented for Middle East conflict resolution. While the Treaty of Versailles (1919) had 32 nations and the UN Charter (1945) 51, none match this collaborative scale for an active war like Israel-Gaza, surpassing even the Dayton Accords (1995) with just three main signatories.

Prophetically, the Quran does not explicitly endorse lying in agreements but permits strategic flexibility: Quran 8:61 encourages peace if enemies incline to it, but 9:7-12 allows dissolving treaties if treachery is suspected. A hadith states “War is deceit” (Sahih Bukhari 3029), justifying deception in conflict, like taqiyya or hudna (temporary truces) to regroup and defeat enemies. However, Quran 16:91 stresses fulfilling covenants unless broken first. Interpretations vary, but it could imply false agreements for advantage.

The timing—50 days after our sighted moon Trumpets (August 24, 2025)—echoes patterns: In 2023, the war outbreak 50 days after Trumpets (August 18, 2023 to October 7); in 2024, the beeper attack and Nasrallah’s death aligned similarly (August 5, 2024 to September 24); now in 2025, this deal and hostage release. These “50-day” intervals may symbolize prophetic countdowns, linking to Pentecost’s 50 days or Jubilee themes of release.

This fits our understanding of the 10 Days of Awe as prophetic years of judgment from 2024-2033—the final decade of this 120th Jubilee Cycle, mirroring Egypt’s 10 plagues in end-times form: extreme heat domes, floods, locust swarms, and more as curses intensify. The remaining “10 days” from 2024 symbolize awe-inspiring tribulations leading to Atonement in 2033, when Satan is bound. This deal’s “peace” may be the calm before escalation, fulfilling 1 Thessalonians 5:3’s warning of “peace and safety” preceding sudden destruction. Like 1938’s pre-Holocaust lull, it could lull us—do we warn or cower? Yehovah’s salvation is at work, but time for repentance grows short before the final shofar is sounded.

The Abraham Accord Expansion

In the whirlwind of end-time events, few developments carry the weight of prophetic intrigue as the expansion of the Abraham Accords. As we reflect on the Sharm El Sheikh summit of October 13, 2025—just days ago—we see not merely diplomatic handshakes but a seismic shift in the Middle East landscape. President Donald Trump, fresh from brokering a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, gathered leaders from over 27 nations to endorse his Twenty-Point Gaza Peace Deal. Amid the signatures and speeches, Trump called for an unprecedented broadening of the Abraham Accords, declaring, “There is no doubt that the expansion of the Abraham Accords will occur in the near future.” This comes on the heels of a fragile truce, hostage releases, and a framework for Gaza’s reconstruction—yet it raises profound questions: Is this the “peace and safety” of 1 Thessalonians 5:3, a false calm before sudden destruction? Or a genuine step toward release in Yehovah’s Jubilee cycle?

The Abraham Accords: A Brief History of Unlikely Alliances

The Abraham Accords, signed in 2020 during Trump’s first term, marked a paradigm shift in Middle East diplomacy. Brokered by Jared Kushner and the U.S., the normalization of relations between Israel and four Arab nations —namely, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco —was achieved. Named after Abraham—the patriarch revered in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—the accords bypassed the Palestinian issue, focusing instead on economic, security, and cultural ties. What began as bilateral pacts has blossomed into a network of trade deals, joint military exercises, and tech collaborations. By 2025, despite the Gaza war’s strains, the accords have proven resilient: UAE-Israel trade hit $3.5 billion in 2024, and Bahrain hosted joint anti-Iran drills.

Trump hailed them as “a great tribute to the United States,” crediting them for fostering prosperity amid regional chaos. Yet, as noted in our teachings, such “peace” evokes Abraham’s story of divided inheritance—Isaac and Ishmael (Genesis 16-21)—a bittersweet tale of promise amid strife. In a Rosh Hashanah retelling, Abraham’s near-sacrifice of Isaac (or Ishmael in Islamic tradition) tests faith, reminding us of Yehovah’s covenant: “In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). The accords invoke this shared heritage to bridge divides, but do they truly unite or merely delay judgment?

Keep in mind the Two Goats of Atonement. Both are indistinguishable. Do we follow in Isaac’s footsteps or Ishmael’s? Likewise, do we follow Israel or Esau?

The Sharm El Sheikh Summit: A Historic Gathering Without the Principals

On October 13, 2025, in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, the world watched as leaders from 27 nations convened under the hosting of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Trump, arriving from Israel, where he celebrated the ceasefire, chaired the event at the Tonino Lamborghini International Convention Center. The summit produced a joint proclamation endorsing the Twenty-Point Gaza Peace Deal—a phased roadmap for ceasefire, hostage/prisoner exchanges, aid surges (600 trucks/day), and Gaza’s demilitarization/reconstruction as a “terror-free zone.”

Notably absent were Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas representatives. Israel approved the ceasefire on October 9 but declined direct involvement, insisting on no Hamas governance in Gaza. Hamas, post-hostage release (all 20 living captives freed by October 13), was sidelined as the deal phases them out, offering amnesty or safe passage. The document, signed by mediators, focuses on external guarantees for compliance, monitored by a U.S.-led “Board of Peace.”

Heads of state attended in force: Trump, el-Sisi, Qatar’s Emir, Turkey’s President, UAE’s Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Jordan’s King, and even Indonesia’s Foreign Minister. European allies like Britain’s Keir Starmer and France’s representatives joined, alongside Iraq and potential Syrian involvement (Trump called President Ahmed al-Sharaa).

This high-level turnout—unprecedented for a post-conflict framework—signals a collective pivot to reconstruction, estimated at $50+ billion by the World Bank.

Motivations for the Signatories: A Tapestry of Self-Interest and Shared Vision

The motivation for such a broad coalition is multifaceted, blending humanitarian urgency, economic opportunity, and strategic realignment. Trump’s “political clout,” as one expert noted, was pivotal—his administration’s leverage (e.g., aid, arms deals) encouraged attendance, but deeper drivers vary by nation.

Arab Mediators (Egypt, Qatar, Turkey): Egypt, as host, bolsters its broker status, easing border pressures from Gaza and securing U.S. aid. Qatar, with Hamas ties, gains leverage in reconstruction, while Turkey’s Erdogan positions himself as a Muslim world leader, balancing domestic support for Palestinians with NATO ties.

Abraham Accords Signatories (UAE, Bahrain, Jordan): These nations seek expansion for economic boons—trade with Israel hit $3.5 billion in UAE alone. The deal’s “no Israeli occupation” clause reassures, while reconstruction pledges (special economic zones) promise investment. Jordan, sharing a border, prioritizes refugee flows and water deals.

Emerging Players (Saudi Arabia, Syria): Saudi’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman eyes normalization for Vision 2030—tech hubs, tourism—with Gaza’s $50B rebuild as entry. Trump urged Syria’s al-Sharaa to join, dangling sanctions relief post-Assad fall, to counter Iran.

Global Partners (Europe, Indonesia): Britain’s Starmer and France seek influence in post-war aid, aligning with U.S. multilateralism. Indonesia, the largest Muslim nation, joins for humanitarian optics (troop contributions to stabilization) and economic ties, countering perceptions of Western bias while boosting its G20 role.

Collectively, motivations converge on stability: ending a war that displaced millions, disrupted Red Sea shipping ($1T annual loss), and fueled global inflation. Trump’s vision—”a prosperous, peaceful Middle East”—dangles carrots like joint ventures, while the Abraham Accords framework offers security umbrellas against Iran.

The Twenty-Point Deal: A Roadmap to Release or Illusion?

The accords’ expansion ties to Trump’s Twenty-Point Gaza Plan: Phase 1 halts fighting, releases hostages/prisoners; Phase 2 draws down IDF (to 15% territory); Phase 3 rebuilds Gaza under reformed Palestinian Authority, demilitarizing Hamas. No forced displacement, no Israeli annexation, but guarantees from signatories ensure compliance.

Reconstruction as a “deradicalized zone” invites Abraham Accords partners to invest, potentially including Saudi Arabia for broader normalization.

Behind Closed Doors: How the Deal With Hamas Was Born

The inside story by Amit Segal

If Israelis had heard how the President of the United States spoke about the hostages, it’s doubtful that he would have received such thunderous cheers at Hostages’ Square last Saturday night. To say they were a secondary concern for him would be an understatement — and even that understates it. Donald Trump favored eliminating Hamas the American way, and 20 living hostages (he was always confused about their number and minimized it — I wonder what Sigmund Freud would have said) seemed to him a marginal matter, collateral damage.

Only belatedly did he perceive how strategic the issue was for the Israelis, and therefore for their government as well. In the United States, presidents have usually not been criticized for meeting hostages’ families too little, but for doing so too often (for details, Google “Ronald Reagan”).

In one of the discussions before Operation Gideon’s Chariots B began, Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about the scar that would remain in Israeli society if the IDF conquered Gaza City at the cost of the hostages’ lives. Allow me to guess that he never really believed that moment would come.

Indeed, in recent months, Netanyahu and Ron Dermer’s assessment was that an operation to conquer Gaza City, if it happens, may well begin, but most certainly would not reach completion. Here is the inside story.

Following the successful war in Iran, Israel tried to use the momentum to reach a partial deal in Gaza. The idea was to release half the hostages and, during a 60-day ceasefire, arrive more or less at the conditions achieved this week. But Hamas, inspired by a Gaza starvation campaign that was gaining international traction, refused. President Trump, still in the shadow of Israel’s victory in Iran, thought the IDF could eliminate the remnants of Hamas as quickly as it smashed Tehran’s nuclear program. Ultimately, the combination of Hamas’ refusal and the president’s ambition led Israel to decide to enter Gaza City.

The idea was proposed by former Shin Bet chief and current Minister Avi Dichter: conquering the city is the end of Hamas, he said at one meeting. The magic happened almost immediately: “Even before our forces entered the city,” Dermer recounted, “three days of talk about the operation did what three months of negotiations failed to do. Hamas suddenly agreed to a partial deal. But by then time had already run out.”

Israel faced two options: one, to conquer the remainder of the strip and establish a military government with American support. Dermer and Netanyahu, however, believed that would require national unity and backing from Trump. The first component did not exist, and the second was highly unlikely.

The second option was a plan manufactured by Israel, led by the Americans, and supported by Arab states. President Reagan once told his people: you’ll write the plans, and I’ll be the presenter who markets them. This plan was no different, with Dermer filling the role of the writer. It was clear that any plan presented as purely Israeli would be pronounced dead before it was even born. That doesn’t mean every tweet was coordinated, Dermer said at a cabinet meeting this week, but on the big matters, Jerusalem and Washington moved together.

Thus began arduous negotiations with Middle Eastern countries. During a round of talks in New York, it seemed impossible to get all those elephants into the same private room. Nevertheless, Israel’s representatives returned from there with 17 substantive comments from the Sunni states and even an agreement in the offing.

Then came September 9. Early in the morning, a three-person phone call was held about the impending strike: Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Katz, and Minister Dermer. All three supported the attack. Many issues came up in the consultation, but one particular issue did not: none of them believed there was an Israeli commitment to the Qataris not to strike Hamas personnel on their soil. Netanyahu called President Trump minutes earlier, but the president was groggy after a late night of discussions. It took time to reach him. The strike went ahead.

So far, it’s unclear how senior Hamas figures escaped the attack, but it’s obvious that it brought the deal closer. I recently wrote that it was the most successful failed assassination in history, in the sense that it signaled to the Qataris that the war would come to them if they did not stop their double game.

Dermer sees it differently. He links the strike to the agreement, but in a completely different way. The Qataris, it turns out, were convinced that by agreeing to host hostage release negotiations, they had obtained immunity from Israeli strikes on their soil. From their perspective, the strike was a blatant, offensive breach of that commitment.

Qatar hadn’t managed to help forge a deal for quite some time, but it’s not half bad at thwarting them. In Jerusalem, they called Qatar “the spoiler state” — one that can easily ruin any agreement, as it did to the Egyptian hostage release deal that was forming last spring behind its back.

Qatar is a complicated nation, Netanyahu recently said. What is it made of? In Jerusalem they describe two trains running behind the same engine. One, led by the ruler’s mother and brother, supports the Muslim Brotherhood and is an unmistakable hater of Israel. The other, led by the prime minister and several other senior figures, seeks rapprochement with the West.

Around April, a turning point was identified in Doha. Relations with the United States tightened significantly, and Hamas, an oddly patronized child, became a burden and a stain. The opportunity then presented itself following the strike in Doha, when the Arab states rushed to assemble at the emir’s conference, both in anger at Israel and fear of a blue-and-white domination of the Middle East.

The Americans’ genius was to convert that negative energy into fuel to propel negotiations to their goal. You want Israel to stop? Then let’s end the war, they told the Sunni countries, and thus enlisted them in a framework that seemed impossible: a pan-Arab, almost pan-Muslim commitment to the elimination of Hamas. Dermer drafted Netanyahu’s apology for the death of the Qatari security official; in Doha they reciprocated with a goodwill gesture by dramatically toning down Al Jazeera’s hostile tone.

More than enlisting the entire Arab world against Hamas, which had annoyed the whole region, the achievement was to enlist it for a framework that does not include the Palestinian Authority in the foreseeable future. That is, for example, what held the Emiratis back from entering Gaza a year and a half ago. In one sense, that is the great innovation: before the plan, Gaza belonged to the Palestinian Authority; now it is Arab-international until further notice. The PA, meanwhile, hates Hamas so much that it agreed.

Yes, there will be a two-state solution, Dermer said this week. But not between the river and the sea — within the Gaza Strip itself. The plan is that as long as Hamas does not disarm, reconstruction will begin — but only in the half of the strip under Israeli control. What two years of war did not accomplish will be done by market forces: where will the population feel it is better to live — amid the ruins under Hamas boots, or in a rehabilitated area with an Emirati-funded school and a trailer home for each family?

The Americans believe this is a temporary situation, and are convinced that Hamas will be disarmed soon. Israel, of course, is much more skeptical. In a recent meeting, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir made a request of the Americans: Explain to me please. Your multinational force, with a few battalions, enters a tunnel. Hamas operatives are armed there. How exactly does this disarm Hamas? Who exactly will hand over the weapons? And what if they don’t?

You didn’t believe the first phase would happen, the Americans said, believe that the second will happen too. Have a little faith, the Jews with an American flag on their lapel told the Jews with an Israeli flag.

Halloween

Halloween

A Pagan Ritual Veiled in Harmless Fun

Rooted in Babylonian and Egyptian Darkness

As October 31 approaches, the world dons its masks and lights its lanterns, calling it innocent fun. But at Sightedmoon.com, we expose Halloween as a direct heir to ancient pagan sabbaths, steeped in sun god worship, spirit veneration, and occult rites Yehovah forbids (Leviticus 23). Drawing from Alexander Hislop’s The Two Babylons (1853)—a cornerstone exposing Satan’s counterfeit from Babel—we trace its Celtic facade to deeper Babylonian and Egyptian mysteries. These festivals mock Yehovah’s holy days, echoing the deification of Noah’s family through Ham’s perverted relationship with his mother, birthing idolatry that spreads to Egypt’s gods. As we near the 2300 days’ end (July 12, 2026), with the 10 Days of Awe as prophetic years (2024-2033) judging modern “gods” like Egypt’s plagues,
Halloween signals the great deception. Give heed to what Yehovah says:
“Learn not the way of the heathen… For the customs of the people are vain” (Jeremiah 10:2-3).
In this newsletter, we delve into the layers of deception that make Halloween not just a night of candy and costumes, but a spiritual trap designed to lure the unwary into the very idolatry Yehovah has condemned since the days of Babel. We’ll explore its Celtic origins, its Babylonian and Egyptian roots, and how Catholic syncretism—fueled by figures like Simon Magus—has perpetuated this darkness under a Christian veneer. As we connect these threads, we’ll see how Halloween’s themes of death, spirits, and deified figures align with the judgments on Egyptian gods outlined in our teachings on the 10 Days of Awe, reminding us that Yehovah’s plagues are not relics of the past but prophecies for our time.

The Celtic Facade: Samhain and the Thinning Veil

Halloween’s most immediate roots trace back over 2,000 years to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced “sow-in”), celebrated by the Gaels in Ireland, Scotland, and Britain. This marked the end of the harvest and the dark half of the year, when the Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead thinned, allowing ghosts, demons, and fairies to cross over. To ward off these spirits, Druids—Celtic priests—lit massive bonfires (often called “bone fires” from the remains used) for purification. Families extinguished their home hearths and relit them from these communal flames, seeking protection for the winter ahead.

Sacrifices were central: crops and animals were offered, and while human sacrifice is debated among historians (with Roman accounts like Julius Caesar’s possibly exaggerated for propaganda), archaeological evidence from bog bodies suggests ritual killings occurred in some contexts. Nocturnal symbols emerged—bats, owls, and black cats as spirit messengers. Costumes of animal skins disguised the living from vengeful ghosts, and divination with apples and nuts foretold the future. Hollowed turnips or beets, carved with grotesque faces and lit by coals, represented damned souls or warding talismans—precursors to the jack-o’-lantern, rooted in the Irish tale of Stingy Jack, a wanderer cursed with a hellfire-lit turnip.

When the Romans conquered Celtic lands around 43 AD, they blended Samhain with Feralia (honouring the dead) and Pomona (goddess of fruit), infusing apple rituals that survive in bobbing for apples. But this was no mere harvest fest—it was a night of fear and appeasement, aligning with modern Wicca’s eight sabbaths, where Samhain is the holiest, honouring the “horned god” and crone goddess in a cycle of death and rebirth.

The Celts’ belief in a thinned veil between worlds wasn’t unique to their culture; it echoes ancient ideas of the dead returning to demand tribute or wreak havoc if not appeased. This theme of interaction with the spirit realm, complete with offerings and disguises, sets the stage for Halloween’s modern observance. But to understand why such practices are so dangerous, we must dig deeper into their origins, where Babylonian and Egyptian influences reveal a pattern of idolatry that Yehovah has judged time and again.

Deeper Roots: Babylonian Mysteries and the Spread of Paganism

Samhain’s darkness didn’t arise in isolation. As Alexander Hislop masterfully demonstrates in The Two Babylons, many Western pagan practices stem from ancient Babylon, and Egypt, and before them from Assyria, the cradle of idolatry after the Flood. Babylon’s religion, centred on Nimrod (the “mighty hunter” of Genesis 10:8-10, whom Hislop identifies as a type of the Antichrist) and his wife Semiramis, which involved sun worship, fertility rites, and underworld veneration. (Ham’s name means the sun)
A) Mh% (Mh% HhM) ac: Heat co: Sun ab: ?: The heat from the sun heats the contents of the bag.
mm) Nmh% (Nmh% Hh-MN) – Sun idol: An object of worship representing the sun god. [freq. 8] |kjv: image, idol| {H2553}
V) Mmh% (Mmh% Hh-MM) – Warm: The warmth of the sun or from passion. [freq. 13] (vf: Paal, Niphal, Hitpael, Piel) |kjv: hot, heat, warm, enflame| {H2552}
Nimrod’s deification as a sun god (Baal or Tammuz) and Semiramis as the “queen of heaven” (Ishtar) spread via the dispersion at Babel and Egypt (Genesis 11), influencing Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Hindu, Buddhist and eventually Celtic cults.

Hislop connects Halloween to Babylonian “All Souls” observances, where the dead were invoked and offered food to prevent their wrath—parallels to Samhain’s spirit appeasement. In Babylonian lore, the underworld (Irkalla) was a grim realm where unburied ghosts (etemmu) roamed if not honoured, much like Celtic fears of wandering spirits. Autumn festivals mourned the dying god Tammuz (Ezekiel 8:14 condemns this), with lamentations and offerings echoing Samhain’s harvest end. Hislop argues that Phoenician traders brought these eastward mysteries to the Druids, blending Baal’s fire rituals with Celtic bonfires—sacrifices intended to purify and summon the sun’s return.

Even the jack-o’-lantern ties back: Hislop notes Babylonian lanterns for the damned, symbolizing souls trapped in purgatory-like states, adapted westward. Bats and black cats? Babylonian omens linked them to underworld demons, influencing Celtic superstitions. Human or animal sacrifices? Babylon’s rituals involved offerings to appease gods like Molech (Leviticus 18:21), a practice Yehovah abhorred and which filtered into Druidism.

Ezk 8:2  And I looked, and behold! A likeness as the appearance of fire; from the appearance of His loins and downward, like fire. And from His loins and upward as the appearance of brightness, like the color of polished bronze.

Ezk 8:3  And He put out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head. And the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heavens, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the opening of the inner gate facing north, where there was a seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy.

Ezk 8:4  And, behold! The glory of the God of Israel wasthere, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.

Ezk 8:5  And He said to me, Son of man, lift up your eyes now to the way of the north. So I lifted up my eyes the way toward the north, and behold, northward at the gate of the altar the image of jealousy was at the entrance.

Ezk 8:6  And He said to me, Son of man, do you see what they do; even the great abominations which the house of Israel is doing here, that I should go far off from My sanctuary? But turn again, and you shall see greater abominations.

Ezk 8:7  And He brought me to the opening of the court; and I looked, and behold, a hole in the wall.

Ezk 8:8  And He said to me, Son of man, dig in the wall now. And I dug in the wall, and, behold, an opening.

Ezk 8:9  And he said to me. Go in and see the evil abominations that they do here.

Ezk 8:10  And I went in and saw. And behold, every kind of creeping thing, and hateful beast, and all the idols of the house of Israel, were carved on the wall all around.

Ezk 8:11  And seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, standing among them, these were before them, and each man with his censor in his hand. And the odor of the cloud of incense was rising.

Ezk 8:12  And He said to me, Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, each man in his image room? For they are saying, Jehovah does not see us; Jehovah has forsaken the earth.

Ezk 8:13  He also said to me, You turn again, and you shall see greater evils that they are doing.

Ezk 8:14  And He brought me to the opening of the gate of Jehovah’s house, toward the north. And behold, women were sitting there, weeping for Tammuz.

Ezk 8:15  And He said to me, Have you seen, O son of man? Turn yet again, and you shall see greater evils than these.

Ezk 8:16  And He brought me into the inner court of Jehovah’s house, and behold, at the opening of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah and their faces toward the east; and they bowed themselves eastward to the sun.

Ezk 8:17  And He said to me, Have you seen, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they do the hateful things which they do here? For they have filled the land with violence and have turned to provoke Me to anger. And lo, they put the branch to their nose.

Hislop’s thesis is profound: This mystery religion began with Ham’s perversion with his mother (Noah’s wife), deifying her as Semiramis and birthing Nimrod as a “divine child.” This incestuous origin spawned the “unholy trinity” (father-mother-son) that permeated global idolatry, from Babylon’s Baal-Ishtar-Tammuz to Egypt’s Osiris-Isis-Horus. The spread westward via trade routes carried these motifs, where the deified figures manifested as Celtic “horned gods” and crones, demanding sacrifices and veiling the truth of Yehovah’s creation.

The Babylonian emphasis on mourning the dying god in summer (Tammuz month, June-July) and honouring the dead in autumn aligns thematically with Samhain’s death-rebirth cycle. While primary Tammuz weeping was summer, Babylonian autumn rites for the underworld (as rains returned) involved ghost offerings, creating a harvest-death focus that influenced Celtic practices. This underscores how Halloween perpetuates the very idolatry Yehovah judged through the plagues on Egypt’s gods—deities like Osiris (dying/resurrecting, judged in flies/hail) and Isis (queen of heaven, judged in boils via healing cults)—as detailed in our 10 Days of Awe teachings.

Egyptian Connections: The Deified Perversion Spreads

Babylonian false god foundations are explained by understanding that Egyptian idolatry began at the same time, helping to explain these mysteries, with Semiramis as Isis (goddess of magic, fertility, and the throne) and Nimrod as Osiris (lord of the afterlife, dismembered and resurrected). Hislop notes Ham (as Cush or Hermes) as the conduit, spreading perversion westward. Isis’s role in resurrecting Osiris mirrors the Babylonian dying-god motif, judged in the plagues: flies (plague 4) on Khepri/Beelzebub (scarab of renewal), boils (plague 6) on Isis/Imhotep (healing deities), and hail (plague 7) on Nut (sky goddess).

Halloween’s thinned veil and spirit roaming echo Egyptian Duat (underworld) beliefs, where unappeased dead caused chaos—similar to Babylonian etemmu. Jack-o’-lanterns as damned souls parallel Egyptian ushabti figures for the dead. The “horned god” (like Osiris with bull horns) and crone (Isis as protector of the dead) tie directly, with costumes/disguises mimicking Egyptian mummification rites to fool spirits.

Our 10 Days of Awe book reveals these plagues as judgments on Egypt’s pantheon, repeating in 2024-2033 as end-time curses: boils as incurable plagues (Revelation 16:2), flies as invasive hordes (Revelation 9:1-12), and hail/fire as heavenly wrath (Revelation 8:7). Halloween’s veneration of death/spirits perpetuates this idolatry, inviting the same judgments on modern “gods” like environmentalism (Nut/Gaia) or pharmakeia (Isis’s magic/drugs).

Catholic Syncretism: Perpetuating the Deception Through Simon Magus

By the 8th century, the Roman Catholic Church, unable to erase Samhain, overlaid it with All Saints’ Day (November 1), formalized by Pope Gregory III to honour martyrs, shifting from an earlier May date. All Hallows’ Eve (Halloween) absorbed pagan rites: bonfires became vigils, costumes morphed into saint parades, and divination games were “sanctified.” Hislop argues this perpetuates Babylonian hero-worship, with “saints” replacing deified Nimrod or Tammuz, a syncretism Yehovah hates (Deuteronomy 12:30-31).

Deu 12:30  take heed to yourself that you do not become snared by following them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not ask about their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods, that I too may do likewise?

Deu 12:31  You shall not do so to Jehovah your God. For every abomination to Jehovah, which He hates, they have done to their gods; even their sons and their daughters they have burned in the fire to their gods.

Yehshua rejected human honour:

Jhn 5:39  You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me,

Jhn 5:40  and you will not come to Me that you might have life.

Jhn 5:41  I do not receive honor from men.

Jhn 5:42  But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.

Jhn 5:43  I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me. If another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.

Jhn 5:44  How can you believe, you who receive honor from one another and do not seek the honor that comes from God only?

Instead of honouring Yehovah and keeping HIs commandments in Leviticus 23, the world has replaced them with pagan feasts and it is these that you seek to honour. You go all out to decorate your houses for the pagan festival seasons and dishonour Yehovah by doing this.

This blending traces to Simon Magus (Acts 8:9-24), the Samaritan sorcerer who amazed crowds with Babylonian magic (pharmakeia, sorcery). Seeking Yehshua’s power, he offered money for the Holy Spirit, rebuked by Peter for his wicked heart. Early Church Fathers like Justin Martyr and Irenaeus identify Simon as the founder of Gnosticism, mixing Babylonian mysteries (e.g., sun worship, underworld rites) with distorted teachings about Yehshua—portraying him as a “divine child” like Tammuz/Osiris. Simon travelled to Rome, influencing Emperor Claudius and establishing a cult that blended pagan gods with Christian elements, paving the way for Catholicism’s syncretism. Hislop links Simon to the “Simon Peter” myth, where Babylonian deification (Ham’s perversion) fused with apostolic faith, turning saints into idols and festivals like Samhain into “holy” days.

This Catholic overlay connects to Egyptian judgments: Simon’s magic echoed Isis’s sorcery (plague 6, boils on healing cults), and his underworld focus paralleled Osiris’s resurrection (judged in flies/hail). Halloween’s “saints” honoured through the customs worn at this time, perpetuates this, inviting end-time plagues on similar idolatry (2024-2033).

Biblical Condemnation: There is No Room for Compromise

Does Scripture command honouring saints or mingling Torah with pagan ways? Yehshua warned, “I receive not honor from men… How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?” (John 5:41, 44). Ezekiel 8 exposes Babylonian abominations in the Temple—women weeping for Tammuz, men bowing to the sun. Halloween mocks the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15), glorifying death instead of Yehovah’s feasts like Sukkot, where we rejoice in His provision.

In our Jubilee teachings, we’ve observed how such deceptions signal the great falling away (2 Thessalonians 2:3). As plagues and famines loom in 2027-2033, and the 2300 days conclude in 2026, Halloween symbolizes the enemy’s snare—religion blending Baal’s shadows with “fun.” Teach your children Torah’s light, not the world’s vain customs. As Proverbs 4:18 declares, “The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

Halloween glorifies death, not Yehovah’s resurrection hope. Choose Sukkot’s joy in Yehovah’s provision, not the world’s darkness.

May Yehovah shield you from deception and draw you to His perfect day.

  1. These numbers seem to be working themselves out in my personal life as well. My mums birthday (a non-believer) is Oct 7 (hostages taken) and my birthday is Oct 13 (hostages released). This year was my 49th birthday, beginning my 50th year, a jubilee. Freed from the bondage of death.
