Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,
This week, I want to remind you and address why the Philippines is repeatedly hit with calamities even though it prays, goes to church, and conducts Missions to all the other countries around Asia. So many people just begin to establish businesses or have things in their homes only to have them ruined by a flood or some other disaster.
Over 500 years ago, in 1521, Magellan discovered the Philippines and introduced them to Catholicism. The people pray and pray, wave banners and flags, and sing many songs to God. But with each new calamity, God is not hearing their cries. The sign of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting it to be different this time. Maybe God would bless us if we prayed harder, cried harder, and had more baptisms. Then God might not send these horrific typhoons.
May I suggest a radical change from the prevailing 500-year standard, which is clearly not working for you? May I suggest you begin to obey Yehovah God and keep His commandments? Not just the ones you want, but all of them. That would be radical, and I will bet you will see the results almost immediately.
We are now just over one week away from the Feast of Trumpets. Are you getting ready?
The Feast of Trumpets represents this year of 2024. The Feast of Trumpets is the first day of the 10 Days of Awe, concluding with the Day of Atonement. This year of 2024 is the first year of the 10 years of Awe, concluding with Satan being locked away on the Day of Atonement in 2033. One of the things we do in preparation for the Feast of Trumpets is to put on our white robes of righteousness. We are to remove sin from our lives and we are to have it completed by the end of those 10 Days of Awe on the Day of Atonement.
Featival schedule
Holy Days 10 AM and 1 PM
Atonement 1 PM
Coming New Moon 7th Month
Coming New Moon 7th Month
The New Moon to begin the 6th month was seen this Sunday evening July 7, 2024. The 5th month is a 30 day month. There are either 29 or 30 days each month. This means that whether or not the moon is seen, the 1st day of the 6th month begins at sunset Sunday evening, July 7, 2024.
We are now entering the 40 days of repentance leading up to the final 10 Days of Awe, which conclude on the Day of Atonement, which is on August 15, 2024, starting the night before. The Feast of Trumpets, the day and hour no man knows, comes on Tuesday, August 6, beginning at sunset the night before.
The new moon sighting to begin the 7th month on August 5th evening is going to be a difficult moon to see. This year could be a test for all of us. Will the moon be seen or not? If not, then all the Holy Days will be moved by one day. We all need to plan accordingly.
Here are the projected Holy Day dates if the moon is seen on the evening of August 5th, 2024.
Torah Portion
Torah Portions
We read through the entire Torah along with the Prophets and the New Testament, once over the course of 3 1/2 years. Or according to the Sabbatical Cycle which means we read it all twice over a 7-year period. This allows us to cover more in-depth rather than being rushed to cover as much as is covered on an annual basis. We allow all to comment and take part in the discussions.
Septennial Torah Portion
If you go to Torah Portion at our archived section, you can then go to the 7th year which is the 7th year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every News Letter. There you can scroll down to the proper date, and see that this Shabbat we could very well be midrashing about:
Genesis 26
1 Samuel 6-8
Psalm 55-56
Mark 3-4:23
We are in the 1st Sabbatical Cycle in 2024-2025. We go through the entire bible twice in a 7 year cycle. This means we cover the entire bible once every 3 1/2 years. It gives us more time to debate and discuss each portion we read.
If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section, you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.
Join Our Sabbath Meetings
Join Our Sabbath Meetings
There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.
What are we doing and why do we teach this way?
We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.
The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.
Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.
Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.
Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.
We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.
We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.
Jas 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.
We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.
We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.
Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers songs and teaching from this hour.
Shabbat Services will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.
We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

WHY? Calamity Follows Calamity And No One Knows Why?
WHY?
Calamity Follows Calamity And No One Knows Why?
Year after Year, Typhoon after Typhoon, the Philippines gets flooded or severely damaged by severe wind and has earthquakes, mudslides, and even volcanoes.
WHY?
In December 2021, Cebu was hit hard by the deadly and destructive Super Typhoon Odette killing just under 400. It was classed as Cat 5. It was the second most costly typhoon in Philippine history behind Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Yolanda, which flattened Tacloban, killing at least 6,300 people.
Carina (Gaemi) intensified from a severe tropical storm into a typhoon on Monday afternoon, July 22, while “meandering” or wobbling over the Philippine Sea. Carina sat in the Philippines Sea as a tropical storm and dumped rain on the Philippines. On Wednesday, It gathered strength and hit Taiwan as a Cat 5 Typhoon.
The Marikina River nearly breached the water level threshold set by Typhoon Ondoy in 2009. At least 21 people were left dead and 1,000,000 displaced,
The Philippines are the most religious people in the world. They go on missions to other countries and amongst their own people. They go to church and sing praises and yet God still sends these curses again and again.
I ASK AGAIN, WHY?
I have heard many Pastors in the Philippines claim their nation is blessed. Yet every time I see families lose all their belongings from flooding, every time I see them cleaning out the mud for weeks afterwards, every time I see the livestock drowned, and people drowned, businesses washed away, roads washed away, or landslides destroy roads and villages, I have to ask what kind of blessings people are asking for.
Here are the blessings Yehovah said He would give us if we obeyed Him.
Blessings for Obedience
Lev 26:1 You shall make no idols to yourselves; and you shall not set up for yourselves graven images, or a memorial pillar. And you shall not set up any image of stone in your land in order to bow down to it. For I am Jehovah your God.
Lev 26:2 You shall keep My sabbaths and revere My sanctuary. I am Jehovah.
Lev 26:3 If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and do them,
Lev 26:4 then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
Lev 26:5 And your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time. And you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
Lev 26:6 And I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down and none shall make you afraid. And I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
Lev 26:7 And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
Lev 26:8 And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight. And your enemies shall fall by the sword in front of you.
Lev 26:9 For I will have respect to you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish My covenant with you.
Lev 26:10 And you shall eat of the old provision, and clear away the old because of the new.
Lev 26:11 And I will set My tabernacle among you. And My soul shall not abhor you.
Lev 26:12 And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people.
Lev 26:13 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from being their bondmen. And I have broken the bonds of your yoke, and made you go upright.
And here they are again in Deuteronomy.
Blessings for Obedience
Deu 28:1 And it will be, if you shall listen carefully to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command you today, Jehovah your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth.
Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on you and overtake you, if you will listen to the voice of Jehovah your God.
Deu 28:3 You shall be blessed in the city, and be blessed in the field.
Deu 28:4 The fruit of your body shall be blessed, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep.
Deu 28:5 Your basket and your store shall be blessed.
Deu 28:6 You shall be blessed when you come in, and blessed when you go out.
Deu 28:7 Jehovah shall cause your enemies that rise up against you to be stricken before your face. They shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.
Deu 28:8 Jehovah shall command the blessing on you in your storehouses, and all that you set your hand to. And He shall bless you in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
Deu 28:9 Jehovah shall establish you a holy people to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of Jehovah your God and walk in His ways.
Deu 28:10 And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of Jehovah, and they shall be afraid of you.
Deu 28:11 And Jehovah shall prosper you in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers to give you.
Deu 28:12 Jehovah shall open to you His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall loan to many nations, and you shall not borrow.
Deu 28:13 And Jehovah shall make you the head, and not the tail. And you shall be always above, and you shall not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I command you today, to observe and to do them.
Deu 28:14 And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Does this sound like the Philippines is a blessed nation? Does this apply to any other nations? No! No one is obeying Yehovah.
Now lets us read the curses and see if they describe our current situation.
Punishment for Disobedience
Lev 26:14 But if you will not listen to Me, and will not do all these commandments,
Lev 26:15 and if you shall despise My statutes, or if your soul hates My judgments, so that you will not do all My commandments, so that you break My covenant;
Lev 26:16 I will also do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, consumption, and burning fever, consuming the eyes and causing sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
Lev 26:17 And I will set My face against you, and you shall be slain before your enemies. They that hate you shall reign over you. And you shall flee when none pursues you.
Lev 26:18 And if you will not yet listen to Me for all this, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
Lev 26:19 And I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heaven like iron and your earth like bronze.
Lev 26:20 And your strength shall be spent in vain. For your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the field yield their fruits.
Lev 26:21 And if you walk contrary to Me, and will not listen to Me, I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.
Lev 26:22 I will also send wild beasts among you, who shall bereave you. And I will destroy your cattle, and make you few. And your highways shall be deserted.
Lev 26:23 And if you will not be reformed by Me by these things, but will still walk contrary to Me,
Lev 26:24 📝 then I will walk contrary to you and will punish you seven times more for your sins.
Lev 26:25 And I will bring a sword on you that shall execute the vengeance of the covenant. And when you are gathered inside your cities, I will send the plague among you. And you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
Lev 26:26 When I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight. And you shall eat and not be satisfied.
Lev 26:27 And if you will not for all of this listen to Me, but will walk contrary to Me,
Lev 26:28 then I will walk contrary to you also in fury. And I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
Lev 26:29 And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters you shall eat.
Lev 26:30 And I will destroy your high places and cut down your images, and throw your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul shall despise you.
Lev 26:31 And I will make your cities waste and cause your sanctuaries to be deserted. And I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors.
Lev 26:32 And I will turn the land into wasteland. And your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it.
Lev 26:33 And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be waste, and your cities waste.
Lev 26:34 Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths, as long as it lies waste, and you are in your enemies’ land; then shall the land rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
Lev 26:35 As long as it lies waste it shall rest, because it did not rest in your sabbaths when you lived on it.
Lev 26:36 And on those of you that are left I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee as if fleeing from a sword. And they shall fall when none pursues.
Lev 26:37 And they shall fall on one another, as if it were before a sword, when none pursues. And you shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
Lev 26:38 And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
Lev 26:39 And they that are left of you shall putrefy in their iniquity in the lands of your enemies. And also they shall putrefy with them in the iniquities of their fathers.
These are the curses I show that line up with the Sabbatical and Jubilee Cycles. We are now in the 5th Sabbatical Cycle and the curse of famine is now beginning. (verses 28-39)
This next picture was posted in 2020. I am not sure when this flood took place, but again this is the same Markina River that is flooding now and has almost breached the former record in the past three days.
Below is the tallest statue of Mary in the world and it is found in the Philippines.
Let me share the very first words Yehovah said in Lev 26 so that you will be blessed.
Lev 26:1 You shall make no idols to yourselves; and you shall not set up for yourselves graven images, or a memorial pillar. And you shall not set up any image of stone in your land in order to bow down to it. For I am Jehovah your God.
Even though Yehovah said not to make statues or images of other gods people still do. And then they wonder why these plagues come upon them.
Deu 5:8 You shall not make a graven image for you, any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters beneath the earth.
Let us again read the curses for Deuteronomy 28. You will notice this list of curses is much longer.
Curses for Disobedience
Deu 28:15 And it shall be, if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe and to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, all these curses shall come on you and overtake you.
Deu 28:16 You shall be cursed in the city, and cursed in the field.
Deu 28:17 Your basket and your store shall be cursed.
Deu 28:18 The fruit of your body shall be cursed, and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep.
Deu 28:19 You shall be cursed when you come in, and cursed when you go out.
Deu 28:20 Jehovah shall send on you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed, and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings by which you have forsaken Me.
Deu 28:21 Jehovah shall make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from off the land where you go to possess it.
Deu 28:22 Jehovah shall strike you with lung disease and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew. And they shall pursue you until you perish.
Deu 28:23 And your heavens over your head shall be bronze, and the earth that is under you iron.
Deu 28:24 Jehovah shall make the rain of your land powder and dust. It shall come down from the heavens on you until you are destroyed.
Deu 28:25 Jehovah shall cause you to be stricken before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them. And you shall be a trembling to all the kingdoms of the earth.
Deu 28:26 And your body shall be food to all birds of the air, and to the beasts of the earth. And no man shall frighten them away.
Deu 28:27 Jehovah will strike you with the boils of Egypt, and with the hemorrhoids, and with the scab, and with the itch, of which you cannot be healed.
Deu 28:28 Jehovah shall strike you with madness and blindness, and astonishment of heart.
Deu 28:29 And you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall always be pressed down and spoiled forever, and no man shall save you.
Deu 28:30 You shall become engaged to a wife, and another man shall lie with her. You shall build a house, and you shall not live in it. You shall plant a vineyard, and you shall not gather the grapes of it.
Deu 28:31 Your ox shall be slain before your eyes, and you shall not eat of it. Your ass shall be violently taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you, your sheep given to your enemies, and you shall have none to rescue them.
Deu 28:32 Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look and fail for them all the day long. And there shall be no power in your hand.
Deu 28:33 The fruit of your land, and all your labors, shall be eaten up by a nation which you do not know. And you shall always be oppressed and crushed,
Deu 28:34 and you shall be mad because of that which you shall see with the sight of your eyes.
Deu 28:35 Jehovah shall strike you in the knees and in the legs with an evil ulcer that cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the top of your head.
Deu 28:36 Jehovah shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known. And there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone.
Deu 28:37 And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a by-word among all nations where Jehovah shall lead you.
Deu 28:38 You shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather little in, for the locust shall eat it.
Deu 28:39 You shall plant vineyards and dress them, but shall neither drink the wine nor gather, for the worm shall eat them.
Deu 28:40 You shall have olive trees throughout all your coasts, but you shall not anoint with the oil, for your olive shall drop off its fruit.
Deu 28:41 You shall father sons and daughters, but you shall not enjoy them, for they shall go into captivity.
Deu 28:42 All your trees and the fruit of your land the locust shall possess.
Deu 28:43 The stranger within you shall get up above you very high, and you shall come down very low.
Deu 28:44 He shall loan to you, and you shall not loan to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
Deu 28:45 And all these curses shall come on you, and shall pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.
Deu 28:46 And they shall be on you for a sign and for a wonder, and on your seed forever.
Deu 28:47 Because you did not serve Jehovah your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart for the abundance of all things;
Deu 28:48 therefore you shall serve your enemies which Jehovah shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in the lack of all things. And he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you.
Deu 28:49 Jehovah shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand,
Deu 28:50 a nation fierce of face who shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young.
Deu 28:51 And he shall eat the fruit of your cattle and the fruit of your land, until you are destroyed. He shall not leave you grain, wine, or oil, the increase of your livestock, or flocks of your sheep, until he has destroyed you.
Deu 28:52 And he shall besiege you in all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down, throughout all the land. And he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land which Jehovah your God has given you.
Deu 28:53 And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, which Jehovah your God has given you, in the siege and in the anguish with which your enemies shall distress you.
Deu 28:54 The man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the rest of his sons which he has left;
Deu 28:55 so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his sons whom he shall eat, because he has nothing left to him in the siege and in the anguish with which your enemies shall distress you in all your gates.
Deu 28:56 The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not have ventured to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
Deu 28:57 and toward her young one who comes out from between her feet, and toward her sons whom she shall bear. For she shall eat them secretly for lack of all things, in the siege and anguish with which your enemies shall distress you in your gates.
Deu 28:58 If you will not observe to do all the words of this Law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, JEHOVAH YOUR GOD,
Deu 28:59 then Jehovah will make your plagues remarkable, and the plagues of your seed great and persistent plagues; with evil and long-lasting sicknesses.
Deu 28:60 Also, He will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt of which you were afraid. And they shall cling to you.
Deu 28:61 Also, every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this Law, Jehovah will bring them on you until you are destroyed.
Deu 28:62 And you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of the heavens for multitude, because you would not obey the voice of Jehovah your God.
Deu 28:63 And it shall be, as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so Jehovah will rejoice over you to destroy you and to bring you to nothing. And you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it.
Deu 28:64 And Jehovah shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even to the other, and you shall serve other gods there, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone.
Deu 28:65 And among these nations you shall find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest. But Jehovah shall give you there a trembling heart and failing of eyes and sorrow of mind.
Deu 28:66 And your life shall hang in doubt before you, and you shall fear day and night, and shall have no assurance of your life.
Deu 28:67 In the morning you shall say, Oh that it were evening! And at evening you shall say, Oh that it were morning, for the fear of your heart with which you shall fear, and for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
Deu 28:68 And Jehovah shall bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I said to you, You shall see it no more again. And there you shall be sold to your enemies for men-slaves and women-slaves, and no man shall buy you.
Jesus was asked what must I do to enter eternal life. He answered by saying keep the commandments
The Rich Ruler
Luk 18:18 And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luk 18:19 And Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good? None is good except One, God.
Luk 18:20 You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and your mother.
Luk 18:21 And he said, I have kept all these from my youth up.
Luk 18:22 And when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, Yet you lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me.
Luk 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful, for he was very rich.
Luk 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, He said, How hardly those having riches shall enter into the kingdom of God!
Luk 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich one to enter into the kingdom of God.
Luk 18:26 And the ones who heard said, And who can be saved?
Luk 18:27 And He said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Luk 18:28 And Peter said, Lo, we have left all and have followed You.
Luk 18:29 And He said to them, Truly I say to you, There is no one who has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,
Luk 18:30 who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and, in the world to come everlasting life.
Again Jesus/Yehshua was asked what is the greatest commandment—notice which one is said first.
The Great Commandment
Mat 22:34 But hearing that He had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees were gathered together.
Mat 22:35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked, tempting Him and saying,
Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the Law?
Mat 22:37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
What was Yehshua quoting when He said this?
Deu 6:4 Hear, O, Israel. Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.
Deu 6:5 And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
Deu 6:6 And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart.
Deu 6:7 And you shall carefully teach them to your sons, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Deu 6:8 And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
Deu 6:9 And you shall write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.
Deu 6:10 And it shall be when Jehovah your God has brought you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and good cities which you did not build,
Deu 6:11 and houses full of every good thing which you did not fill, and wells which are dug, but which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you shall eat and be full,
Deu 6:12 you shall be on guard lest you forget Jehovah who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves.
Deu 6:13 You shall fear Jehovah your God and serve Him, and shall swear by His name.
Deu 6:14 You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people all around you,
Deu 6:15 for Jehovah your God is a jealous God among you, lest the anger of Jehovah your God be kindled against you and destroy you from off the face of the earth.
Deu 6:16 You shall not tempt Jehovah your God as you tempted in Massah.
Deu 6:17 You shall carefully keep the commandments of Jehovah your God, and His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you.
Deu 6:18 And you shall do the right and good in the sight of Jehovah, so that it may be well with you, and so that you may go in and possess the good land which Jehovah swore to your fathers,
Deu 6:19 to cast out all your enemies from before you, as Jehovah has spoken.
Deu 6:20 When your son asks you in time to come, saying, What are the testimonies, and the statutes and the judgments which Jehovah our God has commanded you?
Deu 6:21 Then you shall say to your son, We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt, and Jehovah brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
Deu 6:22 And Jehovah gave signs and wonders, great and evil signs, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his household, before our eyes.
Deu 6:23 And He brought us out from there so that He might bring us in to give us the land which He swore to our fathers.
Deu 6:24 And Jehovah commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Jehovah our God, for our good always, so that He might preserve us alive, as it is today.
Deu 6:25 And if we are careful to do all this commandment before Jehovah our God, as He has commanded us, it shall be our righteousness.
Circumcise Your Heart
Deu 10:12 And now, Israel, what does Jehovah your God ask of you, but to fear Jehovah your God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
Deu 10:13 to keep the commandments of Jehovah, and His statutes, which I command you today for your good?
Deu 10:14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to Jehovah your God, the earth also, with all in it.
Deu 10:15 Only Jehovah had a delight in your fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, you above all people, as it is today.
Deu 10:16 Therefore, circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stiff-necked.
Deu 10:17 For Jehovah your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, the mighty, and a terrible God, who does not respect persons nor take a bribe.
Deu 10:18 He executes justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the stranger in giving him food and clothing.
Deu 10:19 Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Deu 10:20 You shall fear Jehovah your God. You shall serve Him, and you shall hold fast to Him, and swear by His name.
Deu 10:21 He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrible things which your eyes have seen.
Deu 10:22 Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons. And now Jehovah your God has made you as the stars of the heavens for multitude.
Again, Yehovah warns us to circumcise our hearts and to keep the commandments, and if we do, He will bless us above all others.
Repentance and Forgiveness
Deu 30:1 And it shall be when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and when you shall call them to mind among all the nations where Jehovah your God has driven you,
Deu 30:2 and shall return to Jehovah your God and shall obey His voice according to all that I command you today, you and your sons, with all your heart, and with all your soul,
Deu 30:3 then Jehovah your God will turn your captivity. And He will have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where Jehovah your God has scattered you.
Deu 30:4 If you are driven out into the outermost parts of the heavens, Jehovah your God will gather you from there, and He will bring you from there.
Deu 30:5 And Jehovah your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. And He will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.
Deu 30:6 And Jehovah your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.
Deu 30:7 And Jehovah your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on those that hate you, who persecuted you.
Deu 30:8 And you shall return and obey the voice of Jehovah, and do all His commandments which I command you today.
Deu 30:9 And Jehovah your God will make you have plenty in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, for good. For Jehovah will again rejoice over you for good, as He rejoiced over your fathers;
Deu 30:10 for you shall listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the Law, andif you turn to Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
The Choice of Life and Death
Deu 30:11 For this commandment which I command you today is not hidden from you, neither is it far off.
Deu 30:12 It is not in Heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to Heaven, and bring it to us, so that we may hear it and do it?
Deu 30:13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us to the region beyond the sea, and bring it to us, so that we may hear it and do it?
Deu 30:14 But the Word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may do it.
Deu 30:15 Behold! I have set before you today life and good, and death and evil,
Deu 30:16 in that I command you today to love Jehovah your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, so that you may live and multiply. And Jehovah your God shall bless you in the land where you go to possess it.
Deu 30:17 But if you turn away your heart, so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away and worship other gods and serve them,
Deu 30:18 I declare to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days on the land where you pass over Jordan to go to possess it.
Deu 30:19 I call Heaven and earth to record today against you. I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life, so that both you and your seed may live,
Deu 30:20 so that you may love Jehovah your God, andthat you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him. For He is your life and the length of your days, so that you may dwell in the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give it to them.
Those who keep the law are righteous and walk according to the spirit. Those who refuse to keep the law are subject to the penalties of the law and are carnal and fight the spirit all the time. Is this not what Paul said?
Life in the Spirit
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Rom 8:2 But the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh;
Rom 8:4 so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Rom 8:5 For they who are according to the flesh mind the things of flesh, but they who are according to the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace
Rom 8:7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.
Rom 8:8 So then they who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
Rom 8:10 And if Christ is in you, indeed the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of the One who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised up Christ from the dead shall also make your mortal bodies alive by His Spirit who dwells in you.
These same commandments that most do not want to keep are the same ones Yehovah is going to write on our hearts. Yehovah is going to circumcise our hearts with the law, with the Commandments.
Heb 10:16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord; I will put My Laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”
Heb 10:17 also He adds, “their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more.”
Many claim to be born again but they will not keep the commandments. Read carefully what John says about being born again:
Overcoming the World
1Jn 5:1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves him who has been born of Him.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.
1Jn 5:4 For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.
1Jn 5:5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Yehshua is the Messiah, and in order to know Him we must keep the commandments. This is what Love is. When we keep the commandments, we show love to our fellow man and to Yehovah God.
All you have to do is keep the commandments. Jesus even told us how to love Him.
Jhn 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Why is this so hard to understand?
2Jn 1:6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
Many say they love Israel and they love the God of Israel as they wave the Israeli flag. But they just will not obey the God of Israel and then they wonder why He does not hear their prayers and why these calamities happen again and again.
Are you the Philippine also a stiff-necked people? Will anyone repent and return to Yehovah by keeping the commandments?
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Jhn 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
We are told that in the last days there would be people who thought they were worshipping Yehovah.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works?
23 And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!
Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came. And they who were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
11 Afterwards the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.12 But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.
Pro 1:20 Wisdom crieth aloud in the streets, she uttereth her voice in the broad places;
Pro 1:21 She calleth at the head of the noisy streets, at the entrances of the gates, in the city, she uttereth her words:
Pro 1:22 ‘How long, ye thoughtless, will ye love thoughtlessness? And how long will scorners delight them in scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Pro 1:23 Turn you at my reproof; behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Pro 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused, I have stretched out my hand, and no man attended,
Pro 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof;
Pro 1:26 I also, in your calamity, will laugh, I will mock when your dread cometh;
Pro 1:27 When your dread cometh as a storm, and your calamity cometh on as a whirlwind; when trouble and distress come upon you.
Pro 1:28 Then will they call me, but I will not answer, they will seek me earnestly, but they shall not find me.
Pro 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD;
Pro 1:30 They would none of my counsel, they despised all my reproof.
Pro 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
Pro 1:32 For the waywardness of the thoughtless shall slay them, and the confidence of fools shall destroy them.
Pro 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell securely, and shall be quiet without fear of evil.’
If you insist on worshipping your statues and other gods, Yehovah will tell you to let them deliver you from the flood, typhoon, or volcano.
Jdg 10:11 And Jehovah said to the sons of Israel, Did not I deliver you from Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
Jdg 10:12 And the Sidonians and the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you. And you cried to Me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
Jdg 10:13 Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods; therefore, I will deliver you no more.
Jdg 10:14 Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen. Let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
Jdg 10:15 And the sons of Israel said to Jehovah, We have sinned. Do You to us whatever is good in Your eyes; only deliver us, we pray You, today.
Jdg 10:16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served Jehovah. And His soul was moved by the misery of Israel.
If you will serve Yehovah then He will bless your nation.
Psa 2:1 Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate on a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers plot together, against Jehovah and against His anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands in two and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them.
Psa 2:5 Then He shall speak to them in His anger, and trouble them in His wrath.
Psa 2:6 Yea, I have set My king on My holy hill, on Zion.
Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree of Jehovah. He has said to Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You.
Psa 2:8 Ask of Me, and I shall give the nations for Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession.
Psa 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Psa 2:10 And now be wise, O kings; be instructed, O judges of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled in but a little time. Blessed are all who put their trust in Him.
Psa 37:9 For evil doers shall be cut off; but those who wait on Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth.
Psa 37:10 It is but a little while, and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall search his place, and he shall not be.
Psa 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the overflowing of peace.
Psa 37:12 The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes on him with his teeth.
Psa 37:13 Jehovah laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.
Psa 37:14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who walk uprightly.
Psa 37:15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
Isa 1:15 And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood.
Isa 1:16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil;
Isa 1:17 learn to do good; seek judgment, reprove the oppressor. Judge the orphan, plead for the widow.
Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, says Jehovah; though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.
Isa 1:19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;
Isa 1:20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.
Do not turn away from obeying Yehovah. If you do then the next calamity He will turn away from you and not help.
Psa 18:41 They cried, but there was none to save; evento Jehovah, but He did not answer them.
Ezekiel 8:18 And I will also deal with fury; My eye shall not spare, nor will I have pity. And though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.
Mic 3:4 Then they shall cry to Jehovah, but He will not answer them. He will even hide His face from them at that time, as they have done evil in their doings.
Mic 3:5 So says Jehovah concerning the prophets who make My people err, who bite with their teeth and cry, Peace! And whoever does not give for their mouth, they even sanctify a war against him.
Zec 7:8 And the Word of Jehovah came to Zechariah, saying,
Zec 7:9 So speaks Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Judge true judgment, and practice kindness and pity, each man to his brother.
Zec 7:10 And do not crush the widow or the orphan, the alien or the poor. And do not devise evil in your heart, of a man against his brother.
Zec 7:11 But they refused to listen, and gave a stubborn shoulder, and made heavy their ears from hearing.
Zec 7:12 And they made their hearts adamant from hearing the Law and the Words which Jehovah of Hosts has sent through His Spirit, by the former prophets. And great wrath came from Jehovah of Hosts.
Zec 7:13 And it will be, as He called, and they did not listen, so they called, and I did not listen, says Jehovah of Hosts.
Zec 7:14 But I stormed them away on all the nations whom they did not know. And the land has been wasted behind them, from passing and from returning; for they made the land of desire a waste.
I have not even mentioned that in June, people around the world, including the Philippines, celebrated Pride Month. They turned their backs on Yehovah and worshipped the god of hole, Baal Peor. Yehovah is now saying OK let Baal Peor save you. Let Baal Peor stop the floods. Let the Blessed Virgin Mary stop the floods.
Now, in July, we are suffering from wildfires in North America and Europe. Israel continues to have war; the Philippines is being flooded. People are crying out to Yehovah to save them, and He is saying He does not hear their prayers because when He reached out to them with His truths and blessings, the people turned their ears away and ignored His commandments. Now the world is reaping what we deserve.
But you can repent and tell others to do the same and stop these curses before they get worse. The question is, will you?
Joseph, why do you tell others to follow the Torah, but yet still preach in the names of the deities of the nations, lord, god, jesus, christ?
You would agree that one either tries to follow the Torah 100%, or not follow the Torah. We all fall short, but I strongly believe that we must unlearn using the names of the mighty ones of the nations, they cannot save anyone.
Jer 7:31, Jer 19:5-6; 2Ki 23:10; 2Ch 28:2-3, 2Ch 33:6; Psa 106:37-38; Isa 57:5; Ezk 16:20-21, Ezk 23:37
Jer 7:31; Lev 18:21, Lev 20:2-5; Deu 18:10; 1Ki 11:33
All of these verses are talking about Molech. You can go and search all the places where it says Ba’al.
Jer 32:35 And they built the high places of Baal, in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech; which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
Yehshua is the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Joshua.” Iesous is the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Jesus.” Thus, the names “Joshua” and “Jesus” are essentially the same; both are English pronunciations of the Hebrew and Greek names for Yehshua.
I am teaching people who do not know the Torah, Christians. To reach them, I speak in a language they understand and gradually introduce them to the deeper meanings of Hebrew words.
Many in the Hebrew Roots or Sacred name movements want to beat the Christians in to hell for saying the name Jesus or God. In doing so they chase more potential converts away or cause them to hate the truth. I would rather get them to learn Torah, and when they are ready, they can then begin to use the name at their own pace.
I look to my own past. In my first year, a lady asked me to teach her about the location we were at in Israel. I began and, after 20 minutes, asked her what she thought. She told me she stopped listening after I said Jesus. I almost quit this walk because of her ignorance. I left here and walked away. I promised myself I would never insult someone like that over my Father’s name. I will listen to others who use different name pronunciations or Jesus or God. I will teach them so they can understand and not shove the name issue done anyone throat. I have far too much respect for my Fahter to turn someone away because of His name.
The 3rd commandment says this:
Exo 20:7 You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain. For Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain.
It does not say you must say the name like this or that in order to be saved.
The day will come when we will no longer mention the names of other gods. That day is not yet. As I have shown you even the Bible uses the names of other gods. I am using the proper names of Yehshua as is recognized by most Christians from the Greek as Jesus.
Instead of questioning me, go out and teach as many as you can find about Yehovah.Do the work. Yehovah will correct me if I am sinning.
In 1st Corinthians 9:20-22, the Apostle Paul discusses how he has to act differently around different people based on their different understandings and such. When working on the Scripture Lessons for the Kingdom project with Joe a few years back, the decision was made to go with Christian terms and names in those lesson books. Keeping our audience in mind, the following paragraph is a cut&paste excerpt from the introduction:
*In addition, traditional Christian terms and names are intentionally used throughout this lesson book to reach a larger scope of readers and help those who may be beginners in this knowledge learn with ease. Occasionally, the need to employ the use of a Hebrew term or phrase may present itself for a clearer understanding of Scripture; when this occurs, the corresponding English meaning is always supplied.*
Very profound and thought provoking news-letter. Thank you!
In addressing christians i would at the begining tell them the correct names and why and then tell them i will be using the proper names going forward
