Why are we Looking for Barley at This time of the Year?

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom To the Royal Family,

Speaking in the Philippines this Passover

As many of you already know we will be speaking in the Philippines this Passover season. There is a great work going on here and Brother Aike and others are doing a great work at this time. We need your help in the coming weeks to help make this a great success. Please read Brother Aike’s appeal to each of you.

Shalom Brother Prophet Joseph Dumond,

Praise be to our King Messiah Yeshua for His goodness and mercies and greatness. HalleluYah.

After months of praying planning, contemplating and putting into actions our common mission and vision which is to proclaim these end times message of restoration to as many people as possible in this particular territory called the Philippine Islands.

Our planned event is all set. In Manila our major event is on March 30 and March 31 while in Mindanao Islands particularly in Davao and Digos City will be on April 5 and 7. In between dates would be radio guesting as well as TV.

I know your heart is for the truth and the Torah to be proclaimed. We are all excited because we know that we will learn a lot of things from you especially about end times prophecies which is your expertise.

Our event on March 30 we are expecting around 300 to 400 people to participate in our Special Passover dinner. We chose this date because of the availability of people during the holy week season which is a non working day in the Philippines. Expenses for this dinner has been taking care of by the brethren . Hotel accommodations are also been taking care of. We also rented the camping ground for three days. Yes, me and the pastors agreed that we will bond and our families and brethren are going to be assembling ourselves during the first three days of the Feast of Unleavened bread. Since we have you as our special guest teacher , we will sit at your feet and learn pure Torah from you . This is the first time in our history since 2006 that several pastors with their congregations are going to fellowship together in one place for three consecutive days. Since the venue of the event is on a jamboree site in University of the Philippines Los banos laguna.

Next day of our event is on March 31 shabbath, a whole day seminar with you as guest speaker. In our last meeting last Tuesday with Bishop Butch Belgica and the pastors who are with us, we are expecting around 300 or more pastors and christian leaders to be present.

I believe this will be future leaders of these last great movement of YHVH. Thousands of christians are celebrating the holy days in the Philippines , notwithstanding there is a pending bill in the congress to make the 7 Feast a national holiday in the Philippines.

http://www.congress.gov.ph/legisdocs/first_16/CR01009.pdf

We need help thou from our friends who believed on what we are doing.

Our expected bill on March 31 around $2000 covering the use of the event venue at BP Mt Makiling Hotel with food for around 300 guests has not been paid for yet. Its either we cheap in for these cost and ask for help with your online worldwide subscribers of www. sigthedmoon. com.

Our Mindanao trip on April 5 would be in corner one event hub. I already made reservations thou.

https://www.facebook.com/corneroneeventshub/?ref=search

We still have a balance of about $300. Not yet included are the food that will cater to our guest. These is how it is to be done in the Philippine setting. You feed your guests and they will listen to your teachings. That’s not a funny thing its just the culture here especially in the province.

Our coordinator in Mindanao. pastor mark yu and ptr lee peralta are working hard marketing our event to different christian group. We also wanted to reach more audience since there hundreds of thousands of protestants in these areas to whom your message is directed. You will be here to make the last trumpet call to return to Torah.

Im projecting if there is a budget to make a 30 days advertising on radio with this local station.

https://www.facebook.com/kakampiradiodigos/

They are also offering us live coverage on TV during your live teachings on April 5. The Cost is projected to be around $500. This is a very cheap rate since these are far flung provincial areas. Don’t worry about security, YHVH is with us who can be against us. Besides a police security will be assigned to you during your stay here. Since part of your message will be directed against Islam extremists.

I personally am praying and appealing to like minded believers of sightedmoon subscribers to help us in covering some of the cost of the conferences in different locations.
You might not be able to come here and see us face to face. See us working hand and hand to spread these last end time message for people to return to Torah or perish. How many souls are going to be saved in the process if you able to give and help us for this special work. On are part , we have sacrifice everything our time effort and energy just to obey YHVH to become faithful servant worthy of our calling.

We have a job to do. That is to OBEY YHVH and teach other to do. We wash our hands and we can say we have done our part. Have You?
Praise YEHOVAH for all your prayers and support.

Yours truly in Messiah Yeshua

Main coordinator JOSEPH DUMOND event in the Philippines part II.

Brethren we could once again use your help. I do thank and appreciate all those who have remained donors each month. Those who have stayed on for the long haul. Some have left and moved on. But some of you have never helped. Please do consider doing so now.
We have been supporting this work in the Philippines since we first went there in 2015. We have also supported the work in Burundi since we began to teach there. We are not able to support others though and even these two we must starve one while we help the other and then visa-versa.  In both of these places that we are helping you have read about the zeal, these people have to learn. Brother Aike has been working his tail off. And Mindanao was the place where the Philippine Government just destroyed the ISIS stronghold in Mararwi which is just 177 miles from where I will be speaking. Not all the leaders were caught or killed.
But even here Yehovah is doing a work.
If you can please do help sponsor the efforts we are making to share the Torah to this part of the world. Thank you to all those who already are and those who are going to help us now.

More from South Africa

A few weeks ago we had an article on South Africa and the Genocide that is taking place there. It disturbed many of you.

Since we published that article we have had two more videos that were sent out. I want to again share these with you.

Also below is an article that came out just as I was about to post this News Letter on South Africa. I would advise all South Africans to begin to get out ASAP.

We have been warning you since 2005 of the coming war. We have told you that this 4th curse would come in the 4th Sabbatical cycle. That fourth Sabbatical cycle began at Aviv in 2017. The world events are showing us that the stage is being set. From President Trump and North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-un both being willing and ready to fire Nuclear missiles at each, the movement of over 1 million Muslims into Germany and now the seizing of white-owned land by the South African newly elected leadership and the ANC. Knife and car attacks in Israel and many other nations by Islamist.

All of this is coming about because we have not kept our agreement with Yehovah to keep the covenant of Mount Sinai, And because we have not kept that blood covenant, the penalty is death. The whites of South Africa, are descended from the tribes of Israel who agreed to that covenant with Yehovah. Unless they return to Him right now many in South Africa will be raped and tortured and murdered as we have been showing you from the videos above.

Start to keep the Sabbath now. Start to keep the Holy Days now. Start to obey Him NOW. Look at your children and think what is about to happen to them unless you do.

Lev 26:23-26 “And if by this discipline you are not turned to me but walk contrary to me, then I also will walk contrary to you, and I myself will strike you sevenfold for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute vengeance for the covenant. And if you gather within your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. When I break your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in a single oven and shall dole out your bread again by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.

The Day of the Wrath of the Lord

Take note that Ezekiel was taken into captivity and given these messages 140 years after Israel had already gone into captivity. This is talking about us now today. Make sure you go and read the rest this chapter and not just the section I have quoted.

Ezekiel 7:1-19 The word of the Lord came to me: “And you, O son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land. Now the end is upon you, and I will send my anger upon you; I will judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. And my eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity, but I will punish you for your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

“Thus says the Lord God: Disaster after disaster! Behold, it comes. An end has come; the end has come; it has awakened against you. Behold, it comes. Your doom has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. The time has come; the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting on the mountains. Now I will soon pour out my wrath upon you, and spend my anger against you, and judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. And my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the Lord, who strikes.

“Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! Your doom has come; the rod has blossomed; pride has budded. Violence has grown up into a rod of wickedness. None of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them. The time has come; the day has arrived. Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude. For the seller shall not return to what he has sold, while they live. For the vision concerns all their multitude; it shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, none can maintain his life.

“They have blown the trumpet and made everything ready, but none goes to battle, for my wrath is upon all their multitude. The sword is without; pestilence and famine are within. He who is in the field dies by the sword, and him who is in the city famine and pestilence devour. And if any survivors escape, they will be on the mountains, like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, each one over his iniquity. All hands are feeble, and all knees turn to water. They put on sackcloth, and horror covers them. Shame is on all faces, and baldness on all their heads. They cast their silver into the streets, and their gold is like an unclean thing. Their silver and gold are not able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it.

Yehovah is going to take everyone out of their homes. But the rebellious, those who will not keep the Torah, the Sabbath and Holy Days will not come into the land. They are going to be killed along the way.

Ezekiel 20:2-38 And the word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God, Is it to inquire of me that you come? As I live, declares the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you. Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Let them know the abominations of their fathers, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: On the day when I chose Israel, I swore to the offspring of the house of Jacob, making myself known to them in the land of Egypt; I swore to them, saying, I am the Lord your God. On that day I swore to them that I would bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most glorious of all lands. And I said to them, Cast away the detestable things your eyes feast on, every one of you, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.’ But they rebelled against me and were not willing to listen to me. None of them cast away the detestable things their eyes feasted on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt.

“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them and spend my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt. So I led them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. I gave them my statutes and made known to them my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live. Moreover, I gave them my Sabbaths, as a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not walk in my statutes but rejected my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; and my Sabbaths they greatly profaned.

“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to make a full end of them. But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out. Moreover, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land that I had given them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most glorious of all lands, because they rejected my rules and did not walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols. Nevertheless, my eye spared them, and I did not destroy them or make a full end of them in the wilderness.

“And I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor keep their rules, nor defile yourselves with their idols. I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and be careful to obey my rules, and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’ But the children rebelled against me. They did not walk in my statutes and were not careful to obey my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; they profaned my Sabbaths.

“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them and spend my anger against them in the wilderness. But I withheld my hand and acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out. Moreover, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries, because they had not obeyed my rules, but had rejected my statutes and profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were set on their fathers’ idols. Moreover, I gave them statutes that were not good and rules by which they could not have life, and I defiled them through their very gifts in their offering up all their firstborn, that I might devastate them. I did it that they might know that I am the Lord.

“Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: In this also your fathers blasphemed me, by dealing treacherously with me. For when I had brought them into the land that I swore to give them, then wherever they saw any high hill or any leafy tree, there they offered their sacrifices and there they presented the provocation of their offering; there they sent up their pleasing aromas, and there they poured out their drink offerings. (I said to them, What is the high place to which you go?’ So its name is called Bamah to this day.)

“Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Will you defile yourselves after the manner of your fathers and go whoring after their detestable things? When you present your gifts and offer up your children in fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, declares the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you.
“What is in your mind shall never happen—the thought, Let us be like the nations, like the tribes of the countries, and worship wood and stone.’

The Lord Will Restore Israel

“As I live, declares the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out I will be king over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face. As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you, declares the Lord God. I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. I will purge out the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against me. I will bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

Lev 26:18-20 And if in spite of this you will not listen to me, then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins, and I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.

Daniel 9:26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing.

What Daniel 9 is saying is that after 1996 the Saints of Yehovah will be cut off and it shall be as if they were never there. Their cities and houses will be destroyed and ruined.

South Africa Votes in Favor of Confiscating Land from White Farmers Without Compensation

Feb 27, 2018

Just weeks after being sworn in as South Africa’s new President, Cyril Ramaphosa has already followed through on his promise to see “the return of the land to the people from whom it was taken”.

On Tuesday, South Africa’s parliament voted on a motion to change the constitution to allow land to be confiscated and repatriated from white to black owners without compensation. The controversial motion passed by 241 votes in favor versus 83 against and will be reviewed by a committee by August 30th.

In an address to parliament in Cape Town last week, President Ramaphosa clarified that his goal is to right injustices of the past, as far back as European colonization in the 17th century, by forceful redistribution of land ownership to South Africa’s indigenous people.

“The expropriation of land without compensation is envisaged as one of the measures that we will use to accelerate redistribution of land to black South Africans.”

“We must ensure that we restore the dignity of our people without compensating the criminals who stole our land,” he said.

South Africa President Pledges to Take Land From White Farmers

Even if South Africa does not repeat the disastrous policies of Zimbabwe, its inflammatory rhetoric will incite people to mass violence.
BY ANDREW MILLER ‱ MARCH 1, 2018

The government of South Africa plans to start confiscating white-owned land without compensation, policymakers announced at the 54th National Conference of the African National Congress in December. Now South Africa’s new president, Cyril Ramaphosa, is promising to follow through.

“We will accelerate our land redistribution program not only to redress a grave historical injustice, but also to bring more producers into the agricultural sector and to make more land available for cultivation,” he said during his February 16 State of the Nation address. “We will pursue a comprehensive approach that makes effective use of all the mechanisms at our disposal. Guided by the resolutions of the 54th National Conference of the governing party, this approach will include the expropriation of land without compensation.”

The South African Communist Party said it welcomed a policy of expropriation of land without compensation. But it warned that the African National Congress (anc) must not just shout populist rhetoric, it must follow through. Economic Freedom Fighters (eff), a radical Marxist party, introduced a motion in South Africa’s parliament on February 27 to change the nation’s constitution to allow land seizures. Supported by the anc, the motion passed 241 to 83. The parliament’s Constitutional Review Committee will report back by August 30 on the feasibility of such land seizures.

Ramaphosa has since said that he will not allow “smash-and-grab interventions.” But in his original speech to the nation’s parliament, he called the taking of land from the indigenous people of South Africa the nation’s original sin. This statement is a gross misrepresentation of South Africa’s actual history. Contrary to claims that white settlers stole black land, the Cape Colony was mostly uninhabited when the Dutch settled there in 1652.

Battles between the Dutch and the Khoikhoi people broke out over grazing rights seven years later. But the Bantu tribes that comprise most of South Africa’s black population today did not arrive in the region until later. After Zulu King Shaka waged a genocidal war against many South African tribes in the 1820s, the Dutch began farming the empty land. This brought them into conflict with the Zulu tribe. In 1832, the Dutch attempted to negotiate peace with Shaka’s successor: The new king commanded that the Dutch peace emissaries be clubbed to death. This ignited decades of war that did not end until the British Empire conquered the Zulu Kingdom in 1879.

The Khoikhoi are indigenous to western South Africa. The Bantu, the Dutch and the British are all outside settlers who showed up in the area during the 1800s. The only people in the history of South Africa guilty of attempted genocide are the Zulu. But politicians today accuse the Dutch and British of taking land from the people that the Zulu slaughtered. This is a bid to unite black tribes against people of European descent.

This strategy threatens to unleash violence in South Africa on a scale not seen since the end of the Anglo-Zulu War. Even if the government does not begin confiscating white-owned land like Zimbabwe began doing in 2000, with disastrous results, the inflammatory rhetoric used by South African politicians will move people to violence. According to a paper by Wandile Sihlobo, Theo Boshoff and Sifiso Ntombela, researchers at the Agricultural Business Chamber, there is a threat that people will start taking the matter of land ownership into their own hands.

“In this scenario, a lack of clarity on what is meant by statements such as ‘taking the land back’ could prompt citizens to disregard the rule of law,” they wrote. “As a result, incidents of illegal land occupation will escalate, coupled with farm invasions, subsequently making the agricultural sector nonfunctional and unproductive. Aside from human rights violations becoming commonplace, employment will decline, production will fade, and imports will rise, leading to high levels of food insecurity. Strong reliance on imported food could be risky for the country
.”

According to the Transvaal Agricultural Union, 1,848 people have been murdered in farm attacks between 1998 and 2016. And the murder rate is escalating. The rhetoric coming from the anc, the eff and the Communist Party will make this problem worse.

The sobering truth is that the Bible prophesies of a time of Great Tribulation coming after the American and British people fall from prominence. This time of tribulation will afflict all the descendants of ancient Israel, including British and Dutch South Africans. (For proof of these national identities, request a free copy of our book The United States and Britain in Prophecy, by Herbert W. Armstrong.)

The Prophet Ezekiel describes this time in grisly detail: “Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses
” (Ezekiel 7:23-24). The Bible prophesies that so many bloody crimes will occur in the end time that they will be like links in a chain—one following right after another. This passage even describes people’s homes being taken away and conflict between ethnic groups.

Ezekiel 7 also explains why this time of violence is coming. It is because of the “abominations” of the people: their sins. This does not mean that the victims killed in farm attacks are more sinful than anyone else. Referring to those who suffered deadly fates, like the victims of a tower collapse in Siloam, Jesus Christ said, “[T]hink ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:4-5). The 1,848 killed in farm attacks since 1998 were not worse sinners than other South Africans. But God did not intervene to protect them. The Bible says He is allowing this chain of violence as a warning to people of even worse violence coming, unless they cry out in repentance.

It is God’s great desire to teach all races and nationalities the way to peace and prosperity. If mankind would only repent and obey God’s commandments, they would not have to experience such horrific crimes. But the human heart is hard and too proud to admit that it does not know the way to peace, happiness and stability. God must allow mankind to learn from their own choices until the time when they cry out to Him for instruction. Then He will be able to resurrect those who have died, to show them the path to real peace!

In the mail this week

Joseph are you saying that keeping the laws and feasts saves us or is it believing in Y’shua that saves us. I want to do what the Father tells me but to say that keeping the law and feasts saves us and keeps us out of hell is not what the scriptures tell me.

I did not get a name with this comment above. If the scriptures you’re reading are not telling you to obey the commandments then you need to get the scriptures that do tell you the truth. This person says they ‘want to do what the Father says’. LOL, they just do not want to do the commandments. Hypocrisy.

Do you see the trap of this question? If I say it is the law that saves us then they will cite;

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

And that is as far as they will go thinking they believe in Jesus and they no longer have to obey. But why do they not keep reading more in John let alone the rest of the Bible? If they did then they would understand that they and all men are going to hell. Like I told you in last week’s News Letter there was a series of articles that explained Heaven and Hell. Apparently, this person and many others have not read them.

It is not the law that saves us. Our Salvation is a gift from Yehovah. But to be in His Kingdom you will have to obey HIs laws or you will not be His Kingdom. Period. But because most people will not and do not obey the law, we put a greater focus on that aspect, in order to get them ready to be part of the Kingdom.

John 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

1 John 2:3-6 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

John 15:9-10 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

There are three “Hags” (Feasts) in which we are commanded to go up to Jerusalem; Unleavened Bread, Shavuot and Sukkot. Each one shows you the plan of Salvation. Always keep this in
mind as you keep each of these Feasts. If you do not keep these Feasts or laws which the world says are done away then you will never understand the plan of Salvation.

Far too many people who think they are good people are going to be told to leave I never knew you because you did not keep my laws.

Mat 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

I could go on and on about this, but let’s move on.

Dear Mr. Dumond, I just read your article about “what happens when I die”. I want to thank you for this frank and sincere article. I suspect this might not have been one of the easiest articles to write being about your sister and brother- in- law, that you love as much as it comes across in the words you use.

As a TORAH observant woman married to a TORAH observant husband, I have struggled trying to balance love and understanding with my unobservant family and people in general, but who are believers in the Messiah of the Bible, and I have struggled with some of the lesser holidays, like Thanksgiving, birthdays etc. (Not Christmas, Easter or Halloween, I have firmly made my stand on those), but also with our TORAH observant brothers and sisters on Chanukah, Purim and some other Jewish traditions they insist on following.

It has been, for me a struggle to believe good people who believe in Yeshua and HIS death and resurrection, would not be in heaven. It has been hard to not be a part of our TORAH observant brothers and sisters as they observe some of the Jewish traditions. I just want you to know Iam pondering and studying out the Scriptures you posted, praying for Yahweh to show me the truth and help me to accept it. Thank you for this plate of thoughts you have presented to prayerfully consider.

Rhoda Bell, Roswell, New Mexico

Feb 28 and March 1 were Purim this year. I am sick and tired of wasting newsletters warning people not to get involved in pagan and non-biblical worship. You are told over and over not to add to Torah. So do not add to the Holy Days you are commanded to keep in Lev 23. But the world does not want to keep the Lev 23 commandments as we saw in the note above and they do want to keep all those things that we are not to keep. Holy days set up to demons.

1 Cor 18:10-22 Consider the people of Israel: are not those who eat the sacrifices participants in the altar? What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

When you take part in Purim, which is just the Jewish Halloween, or Christmas or Chanukah to replace Christmas or Easter instead of Passover you are worshipping demons and you are provoking Yehovah to jealousy over you. Yehshua’s kept His birthday at the feast of Trumpets so birthdays are OK. Giving thanks to Yehovah is OK any time of the year.

Good Morning Joseph:

While I respect your dedication and efforts to dig for truth, I will say that I totally disagree with your position in your newsletter.

Of course your position is the same as the Armstrong position and that of most if not all futurists are.

After going through the “1975 error” and subsequent efforts to “dig for truth” it is clear — TO ME — that the events of the 1st Century up to and including the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem and a million of so of the “House of Judah” that cataclysmic and profound things happened in that “generation.”

HWA always said that those people in the ecclesia’s who were being warned to prepare for the events of the 8th decade of the 1st century, were not the TRUE recipients of the Gospels and Letters — rather they were for US — the WWCG flock — whose job it was to warn “the world” now of impending disaster.

I say NO! The events prophesied to occur in the OT and in the Gospels [which were in essence “Covenant Prophecies”] occurred as promised and significant changes occurred — one being the “abolition of death” — that futurists put off to some indefinite time in the future.

I did not come to my current position easily. I could say much more — but I just wanted you to know that there are people “out there” who may have principled and scriptural reasons for what THEY believe which are different from what you believe!

Take care.

For the record. I belong to no denomination nor teach anyone’s work except Yehovah’s. Yes, I learned about the Sabbath and Holy Days from 1982 to 1994 with the World Wide Church of God and would not change that for anything. It was my first in counter with the Sabbath and Holy Days. And I learned a lot. But I have never stopped learning. Most Church of God people have all stopped learning. Whether they be in one of the many splinter groups today or they left the Churches of God at some point in time before or after the split. Almost all the people I meet are stuck in a rut at the same point in time as they left. Those who left in anger are still angry and spiral down each time H.W. Armstrong is mentioned. It is very sad. Others in the splinter groups are dead asleep.

Unless you have begun to read your bible yourself and to prove things for yourself and know the truth….unless you start to do these things you will remain part of the Laodicean Church group spoken of in the book of Revelation. Develop that zeal for learning the truth and praying to Yehovah that you once had when you first came into the truth way back when.

Rev 2:2-5 “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

Rev 3:15-18 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.

Dear Mr. Dumond, my name is Ivette. I am a 42 yr old mother of 3 beautiful blessings I know you must receive more then a fair share of messages regarding your teachings understanding passion and brilliance in the Torah I have but only recently (1 week ago) come across your videos and to say the least I am genuinely blown away with many mixed emotions that all point to a greater truth. A truth that I feel has been kept from me all my life, having said this I ask you besides your videos books and eloquent described theories(truths) WHERE CAN I find my spiritual sanctuary so that I along with my children can eat from such wisdom and follow the path in righteousness? I do not intend for this to be an inconvenience for you knowing you are a very busy man I understand the many commitments and that your are engaged with a full agenda but in my heart I know that you are speaking from a place beyond your heart it is that beyond that has moved my spirit. I take the liberty in reaching out to you for the sake of salvation please forgive my trespass in taking your time but I would be ever grateful if you could respond to my petition Attentively, Ivette

Warning to Travelers

I was sent the following. I am not sure if it is true or not. But with many travelling around the world for the upcoming Feasts I thought I would share it anyway as a warning to be very mindful of what is going on around you.

Recently, an Indian was detained in Bangkok for stealing a box of cigarettes in a duty-free shop in Bangkok International Airport . He had paid for chocolates and a carton of cigarettes. The cashier put a packet of cigarettes extra into his bag and he thought it was a free pack. He was arrested for shop-lifting and the Thai Police extortion price was 30,000 Baht for his release. He spent two nights in jail and paid 500 Baht for an air-conditioned cell, 200-300 baht for each visitor and 11,000 baht for his final release. The Police shared the money in front of his eyes. On top of that, he was charged in court and fined 2,000 baht by the magistrate and handcuffed and escorted to his plane. His passport was stamped “Thief”. While there, his relatives requested help from the Indian Embassy and were told that embassy is helpless. Many Asians are victimized similarly daily and letters and phone-calls to Thai authorities are ignored. He shared a cell with a Singaporean the first night who paid 60,000 baht for his release. The second night was a Malaysian national who paid 70,000 baht. Mind you this was not in a shanty shop in downtown Bangkok but in a duty free shop at the Bangkok Int’l Airport . BE WARNED. The above is 100% correct information because Mr Rajan Khera’s customer from India faced exactly the same scenario mentioned above when he was in transit at Bangkok Int’l Airport coming to Taipei. Someone who went through the same ordeal in Dubai . He bought stuff at the Duty Free upon entering. The girl at Duty Free put a bottle of cologne in his shopping bag (he did not even see it happen). He was arrested for stealing (this is before he even picked up his luggage). He sat at the airport jail where he was harassed for the whole day. NO FOOD, NO WATER for one day and only after he paid a fine (bribe of US 500…). That is all the cash he had in his pocket at the time. They let him go.!! These are scams happening all over the place. Please BE CAREFUL! All of this is pre-planned and the people who work at the airport know whom to target. Unbelievable but apply caution…. the duty free employees intentionally put extra items to Trap the passengers….. ALWAYS TAKE A RECEIPT FOR ANY FREE GIFT THAT THE DUTY FREE SHOP GIVES. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND WATCHFUL…. PLZ DO NOT HURRY. MAKE SURE to CHECK WHEN YOU ARE BEING ‘ BILLED ‘…AND …ALSO WHEN THE ITEMS ARE ‘PACKED ‘ IN INTERNATIONAL AIR PORTS (DUTY FREE SHOPS). Please Pass this info to Others. Before Holiday season…. Or… Before the go on Official Duties ABROAD…Anywhere across the WORLD.

Why are we watching for the Barley at this time of the year?

At this time of year, the debate always comes along about when does the New Year begin. So, once again, I want to explain this. It has nothing to do with the Equinox. Nothing.

Biblical Leap Years

The Biblical year begins with the first New Moon after the barley in Israel reaches the stage in its ripeness called “Abib/Aviv.” The period of time between the beginning of one year and the next is either 12 or 13 lunar months. Because of this, it is important to check the state of the Barley crops at the end of the 12th month. If the barley is “Abib” at this time, then the following New Moon is “Hodesh Ha-Aviv” or, the “New Moon of the Abib.” If the barley is still immature, we must wait another month and then check the barley again at the end of the 13th month.

By convention, a 12-month year is referred to as a “regular year” while a 13th month year is referred to as a Leap Year. This should not be confused with Leap Years as they occur in the Gregorian (Christian) Calendar, which involves the “intercalation” (addition) of a single day (Feb. 29). In contrast, the Biblical Leap Year involves the “intercalation” of an entire lunar month (a “thirteenth month” which is called “Adar Bet”). It can only be determined whether a year is a Leap Year a few days before the end of the 12th Month.

Where is “Abib” mentioned in the Hebrew Bible?

The story of the Exodus relates to us “this day you are going out, in the month of the Abib.” (Ex 13:4).

To commemorate that we left Egypt in the month of the Abib, we are instructed to bring the Passover sacrifice and to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Hag Ha Matzot) at this time of year.

In Dt 16:1 we are commanded:

“Keep the month of the Abib and make the Passover (sacrifice) to YHWH your God at night, because in the month of the Abib YHWH your God took you out of Egypt”.

Similarly, we are commanded in Ex 23:15 that:

“You will keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; seven days you will eat unleavened bread, as I have commanded you, at the time of the month of the Abib, because in it you went out of Egypt.”

The same is commanded in Ex. ch. 34 vs. 18:

“You will keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; seven days you will eat unleavened bread, as have I commanded you, at the time of the month of the Abib, because in the month of the Abib you went out of Egypt.”

So what does “Abib” mean?

Abib indicates a stage in the development of the barley crops. This is clear from Ex 9:31,32 which describes the devastation caused by the plague of hail:

“And the flax and the barley were smitten, because the barley was Abib and the flax was Giv’ol. And the wheat and the spelt were not smitten because they were dark (Afilot).”
The above passage relates that the barley crops were destroyed by the hail while the wheat and spelt were not damaged. To understand the reason for this we must look at how grain develops. When grains are early in their development they are flexible and have a dark green color. As they become ripe they take on a light yellowish hue and become more brittle. The reason that the barley was destroyed and the wheat was not is that the barley had reached the stage in its development i.e. “ripeness” called “Abib” and as a result had become brittle enough to be damaged by the hail. In contrast, the wheat and spelt were still early enough in their development, at a stage when they were flexible and not susceptible to being damaged by hail. The description of the wheat and spelt as “dark” (Afilot) indicates that they were still in the stage when they were deep green and had not yet begun to lighten into the light yellowish hue which characterizes ripe grains. In contrast, the barley had reached the stage of Abib at which time it was no longer “dark” and at this point, it probably had begun to develop golden streaks.

Parched Abib

We know from several passages that barley which is in the state of Abib has not completely ripened but has ripened enough so that its seeds can be eaten if parched in fire. Parched barley was a commonly eaten food in ancient Israel and is mentioned in numerous passages in the Hebrew Bible as either “Abib” or “parched (Kalui) in fire” (Lev 2:14) or, in the abbreviated form, “parched (Kalui/ Kali)” (Lev 23,14; Jos 5,11; 1Sam 17,17; 1Sam 25,18; 2Sam 17,28; Ruth 2,14).

While still early in its development, barley has not yet produced large enough and firm enough seeds to produce food through parching. This early in its development, when the “head” has just come out of the shaft, the seeds are not substantial enough to produce any food. At a later stage, the seeds have grown in size and have filled with liquid. At this point, the seeds will shrivel up when parched and will only produce empty skins. Over time the liquid is replaced with dry material and when enough dry material has amassed, the seeds will be able to yield “barley parched in fire”.

Abib and the Harvest

The month of the Abib is the month which commences after the barley has reached the stage of Abib. Approximately 2-3 weeks after the beginning of the month the barley has moved beyond the stage of Abib and is ready to be brought as the “wave-sheaf offering” (Hanafat HaOmer). The “wave-sheaf offering” is a sacrifice brought from the first stalks cut in the harvest and is brought on the Sunday which falls during the week of Unleavened Bread (Hag HaMatzot). This is described in Lev 23:10-11:

“When you come to the land which I give you, and harvest its harvest, you will bring the sheaf of the beginning of your harvest to the priest. And he will wave the sheaf before YHWH so you will be accepted; on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest will wave it.”

From this, it is clear that the barley, which was Abib at the beginning of the month, has become harvest-ready 15-21 days later (i.e by the Sunday during Unleavened Bread). Therefore, the month of the Abib cannot begin unless the barley has reached a stage where it will be harvest-ready 2-3 weeks later.

That the barley must be harvest-ready 2-3 weeks into the month of the Abib is also clear from Dt 16:9 which states:

“From when the sickle commences on the standing grain you will begin to count seven weeks.”

From Lev 23:15 we know that the seven weeks between Passover (Hag Hamatzot) and Pentecost (Shavuot) begin on the day when the wave-sheaf offering is brought (i.e. the Sunday which falls during Unleavened Bread):

“And you shall count from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day you bring the sheaf of waving; they will be seven complete Sabbaths.”

Therefore, the “sickle commences on the standing grain” on the Sunday during Unleavened Bread, i.e. 2-3 weeks after the beginning of the month of the Abib. If the barley is not developed enough so that it will be ready for the sickle 2-3 weeks later, then the month of the Abib cannot begin and we must wait till the following month.

It should be noted that not all the barley ripens in the Land of Israel at the same time. The wave-sheaf offering is a national sacrifice brought from the first fields to become harvest ready. However, the first-fruit offerings brought by individual farmers can vary in ripeness anywhere from “Abib parched in fire” to fully ripe grain which may be brought “crushed” or “coarsely ground”. This is what is meant in Lev 2:14:

“And when you bring a first-fruit offering to YHWH; you shall bring your first-fruit offering as Abib parched in fire or crushed Carmel”(Carmel is grain which has hardened beyond Abib to the point where it can be “crushed” or “coarsely ground”).

All of the above passages have been translated directly from the Hebrew and it is worth noting that the King James translators seem to have not understood the various Hebrew agricultural terms very well. In Lev 2:14 they translated “Carmel” as “full ears” and “Abib” as “green ears” whereas in Lev 23:14 they translated “Carmel” as “green ears!”

To summarize, barley which is in the state of Abib has 3 characteristics:

1. It is brittle enough to be destroyed by hail and has begun to lighten in color (it is not “dark”).

2. The seeds have produced enough dry material so it can be eaten parched.

3. It has developed enough so that it will be harvest-ready 2-3 weeks later.

So where do we find evidence of this in the New Testament and did Yehshua follow the Aviv Barley to begin the year?

The sacred calendar is aligned with the seasons and the harvests of the crops necessary for the various Feasts. Barley was the first crop to be reaped in the lands of the Bible and the first month was reconciled with the barley at the stage of it being “green in the ear,” ready to be reaped for the offering of Firstfruits. Unleavened bread made from barley was eaten during this week.

There are three “Hags” (Feasts) in which we are commanded to go up to Jerusalem; Unleavened Bread, Shavuot and Sukkot. Each one shows you the plan of Salvation. Always keep this in
mind as you keep each of these Feasts.

The Wave Offering

There was a ritual connected with the Feast of Weeks or “Pentecost season” as some call it today, that the priests of Israel were to perform in the Temple or the Tabernacle of the Lord. It
is recorded for us in Lev.23:9-14.

“Say to the people of Israel, when you come into the land which I give you and REAP its harvest, you shall bring the SHEAF OF THE FIRSTFRUITS OF YOUR HARVEST to the priest; and he shall WAVE the sheaf BEFORE the Lord, that you may find acceptance; ON THE MORROW AFTER THE SABBATH the priest shall wave it

And you shall eat neither bread nor grain parched or fresh until this same day
..”

This ceremony has to do with the FIRSTFRUITS. It was a WAVING of the FIRST of the Firstfruits by the priest before the Lord. It was to be fulfilled before any of the NEW harvests
could be gathered in to be used for bread, or eaten in any way.

Author Samuele Bacchiocchi has correctly observed that:

“The countdown to Pentecost began with the offering of the first barley sheaf (known as the Omer)

the purpose of the wave-sheaf offering was to consecrate and inaugurate the Spring grain harvest which lasted about seven weeks until Pentecost

the cutting of the first barley sheaf entailed a lively ceremony. The sheaf was cut in the evening, put into baskets, and held until the next day, when it was brought to the temple
to be ceremonially waved by the priest. The Talmud states that a priest would meet a group of pilgrims on the edge of the city and from there lead them to the Temple mount singing and praising God. Together with a priest they proclaimed: ‘A wandering Aramaen was my father; and he went down into Egypt

and the Lord brought us out of Egypt
..into this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey. And behold, now I bring the first of the fruit of the ground, which you, O Lord, have given me’ (Deut.26:5, 8, 9, 10).

When they arrived at the Temple, the priest would take the sheaves, lift some in the air and wave them in every direction to acknowledge God’s sovereignty over the whole earth. Before the offering of the sheaves, no reaping of the harvest for personal use could be done (Lev.23:14). A portion of the wave-sheaf was placed on the altar and the rest was eaten by the priest. A male lamb was sacrificed as a burnt offering (Lev.23:12)” (God’s Festivals, pages 170,171).

Let us back up a little to the time when these first sheaves were to be cut. This particular happening is interesting in its ceremony and also shows the time as to when it was done by the teaching of the Pharisees. The Sadducees disagreed with the Pharisees as to the DAY this cutting and waving of the sheaf was to be performed. The Pharisees taught the sheaf was cut the evening of the 15th of the first month, at the very beginning of the first Sabbath of the feast of Unleavened Bread. The Sadducees taught it was to be cut and presented to the Lord on the first day of the week DURING the feast of Unleavened Bread, a Sunday wave sheaf day.

Because among the religious sects of Judah the common people were in the main, followers of the Pharisees, it was their teaching of the cutting and waving of the sheaf that got center stage and the largest spot light.

Actually and technically, it was the Sadducees that held the correct understanding as to WHAT DAY the first sheaf of the spring harvest was to be waved before the Lord. the barley was cut after the weekly Sabbath and prepared that night and presented as the wave offering at 9 AM that 1st day of the week, Sunday.

In this typology study I want to focus on the RITES of the cutting for a moment.

This “reaping” of the Omer Barley offering was a special ceremony performed BY a select group of individuals, who performed the “cutting” and “bringing” of the Omer “on behalf of” all the people of God. This SPECIAL offering was NOT brought by each and every man in Israel.

Reading from THE TEMPLE AND ITS MINISTRY AND SERVICES, by Dr.Alfred Edersheim, page 258, we find exactly how this Barley Omer Offering was first “cut- reaped” and how it was then “brought” to the priest in the Temple.

Quote: ” Already, on the 14th of Nisan, the spot where the FIRST SHEAF was to be REAPED had been MARKED OUT by delegates from THE SANHEDRIN, by tying together in bundles, while still standing, the BARLEY THAT WAS TO BE CUT DOWN. Though, for obvious reasons, it was customary to choose for this purpose the sheltered Ashes-valley across Kidron, there was no restriction on that point, provided the barley had grown in an ordinary field – of course in Palestine itself – and not in garden or orchard land, and that the soil had not been manured nor yet artificially watered. When the time for CUTTING THE SHEAF (Omer) had arrived, that is on the evening of the 15th of Nisan (even though it were a Sabbath), just as the SUN WENT DOWN, THREE MEN, each with a SICKLE AND BASKET, formally set to work.

After the Weekly Sabbath during the Days of Unleavened Bread, in a public gathering on the outskirts of Jerusalem, the first of the barley crop is harvested using sickles. This barley is then brought to the Holy Temple to be used in the Omer offering.

This is quoting Edersheim, who was using the Pharisaical understanding of Shavuot on Sivan 6. The barley was marked on the Friday before the weekly Sabbath. Then after the sun had set and the Sabbath over, then the whole barley cutting ceremony took place in the dusk of the first day of the week. This is very important to understand as it is prophetic. They ask if the sun has set so that they are not cutting on the Sabbath. But there is only one Sunday during the days of Unleavened Bread. So if that Sunday was, in fact, one of the two High Days of Unleavened Bread then the Barley would be cut after the weekly Sabbath just after the 1st Day had begun after sunset.

Once the barley is brought to the Temple Courtyard, priests beat, roast, grind and sift the grain. A handful of the resulting flour is burned on the altar. The remainder is eaten by the priests.

The Abuv is a three-tiered stand. The top level holds a perforated copper pan, and below it is a receptacle for hot coals. It is used for roasting the newly harvested barley of the Omer offering, performed on Passover.

Back to Bacchiocchi.

But in order clearly to bring out all that was distinctive in the ceremony, they first asked of the bystanders THREE times each of these questions: ‘ Has the sun gone down and the Sabbath over?’ ‘With this sickle?’ ‘ Into this basket?’ and lastly, ‘ Shall I reap?’

Having each time been answered in the affirmative, they CUT DOWN THE BARLEY to the amount of ONE EPHAH, or TEN OMERS, or THREE SEAHS, which is equal to about THREE PECKS AND THREE PINTS of our English measure.

The ears were BROUGHT INTO THE COURT OF THE TEMPLE, and thrashed out with canes or stalks, so as not to injure the corn (barley grain); then ‘parched’ on a pan perforated with holes, so that each grain might be touched with by the fire, and finally exposed to the wind. The corn (barley grain) thus prepared was ground in a barely-mill, which left the hulls whole.

According to some, the flour was always successively passed through thirteen sieves, each closer than the other. The statement of a rival authority, however, seems more rational – that it was only done till the flour was sufficiently fine, which was ascertained by one of the ‘Gizbarim’ (treasurers) plunging his hands into it, the sifting process being continued as long as any of the flour adhered to the hands.

Though ONE EPHAH, or TEN OMERS, of BARLEY was CUT DOWN, only ONE omer of flour, or about 5.1 pints of our measure, was OFFERED in the Temple

”

In corroboration of these facts, the SONCINO TALMUD, a special limited anniversary edition of the Babylonian Talmud in English, published by The Soncino Press, tells about these procedures followed by these three men from the Beth Din (House of Judgment-Sanhedrin), to REAP this same Omer Barley Offering, which say:

“MISHNAH. What was the procedure? The messengers of the Beth Din used to go out on the day before the Festival and tie the unreaped corn in bunches to make it easier to reap. All the inhabitants of the towns near by assembled there. AS SOON AS IT BECAME DARK he called out ‘ Has the sun set?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘ Has the sun set?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘With this sickle?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘ With this sickle?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘ Into this basket?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘ Into this basket?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ On the Sabbath he called out further, ‘On this Sabbath?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘ On this Sabbath?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘ Shall I reap?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ ‘ Shall I reap?’ And they answered ‘Yes.’ He repeated every matter three times, and they answered, ‘Yes’ – ‘Yes’ – ‘Yes.’ ”

Again, let me remind you that what you have read above was the PHARISEE teaching and practice of the CUTTING and PREPARING the FIRST SHEAF for offering in the Temple by the priest.

They did it after the sun set on the beginning of the 15th of the first month, the annual Sabbath of the beginning of the feast of Unleavened Bread, and it was waved by the priest in the Temple on the day after this annual Sabbath, or the 16th of the first month.

This was the common practice of the Pharisees, and as the largest segment of the “religious” population belonged to the sect of the Pharisees, this practice was carried out and performed by the Temple administration, who in the main were Sadducees. Yet the Sadducees themselves in “theology” teaching DID NOT AGREE with this interpretation of WHEN this first barley sheaf should be cut and waved before the Lord in the Temple.

They said the waving of the FIRST SHEAF of the FIRST HARVEST, before the Lord in the Temple should be on the MORROW after the weekly Sabbath, which came during the feast of Unleavened Bread.

We have seen in past studies on the typology of this Pentecost feast, and especially concerning the typology of the WAVE SHEAF, or FIRST FRUIT cutting of the barley grain, that this FIRST SHEAF of grain REPRESENTED the FIRST of the FIRST- FRUITS of the SPIRITUAL HARVEST RESURRECTION to the heavenly Father, which was typical and was fulfilled by CHRIST JESUS, as the first of the firstfruits – see again 1 Cor.15:20-23; James 1:18.

The FIRST SHEAF of the FIRST harvest to the Lord, was offered or WAVED BEFORE THE LORD, on a certain morning of a certain day, which was also connected to the feast of Unleavened Bread. As this sheaf REPRESENTED the Messiah Christ, being waved or accepted by the Father in heaven, as the FIRST of the FIRST harvest of souls for His family, can we find anywhere in the Gospels where this typology was fulfilled by Jesus and heaven?

YES INDEED WE CAN!!

In John chapter twenty and verse 17, we read that on the day that Jesus appeared to Mary (verses 11-16) and was about to touch Him, He told NOT TO DO SO, for He was not yet ASCENDED UNTO THE FATHER!

Jesus was not talking about His permanent ascension to the Father for two thousand years or so, until His return to earth, BECAUSE later that SAME DAY, He appeared to his disciples and they DID touch Him – see Matthew 28:8-10.

These two accounts in the Gospels make it very clear that Jesus DID, for a short while, ascend to the Father in heaven and return. He allowed no one to touch Him until He had presented Himself to the Father, and then after that on His return to earth that SAME DAY, He allowed Himself to be touched.

WHAT DAY did all this take place?

A reading of the last chapters of the Gospels show quite plainly and without contradiction, that this ascending of Jesus to present Himself as the FIRST OF THE FIRSTFRUIT HARVEST, THE WAVE SHEAF OF THE FIRST HARVEST TO THE HEAVENLY FATHER, WAS ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK FOLLOWING THE WEEKLY SABBATH, DURING THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD!

The WAVE SHEAF DID NOT REPRESENT THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST!

IT REPRESENTED THE CHRIST ALREADY RISEN, BEING WAVED OR ACCEPTED BY THE FATHER IN THE TEMPLE OF HEAVEN, AS THE FIRST OF THE FIRST FRUITS, THE FIRST OF THE SPIRITUAL HARVEST TO BE MADE IMMORTAL FROM FLESH AND BLOOD. THE REST OF THIS HARVEST OF SOULS TO BE ALSO SO MADE IMMORTAL WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN (1 Cor.15:23; 1 Thes.4:13-18).

THIS TOOK PLACE ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, AFTER THE WEEKLY SABBATH, DURING THE UNLEAVENED BREAD FEAST.

IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE THE SADDUCEES HAD THE CORRECT DAY AS TO WHEN THE WAVE SHEAF WAS TO BE OFFERED TO GOD IN THE TEMPLE! TYPOLOGY AND PROPHECY WAS FULFILLED. THAT WHICH HAD BEEN FORETOLD IN SYMBOLISM AND TYPE HAD COME TO PASS EXACTLY AS THE TYPOLOGY HAD PICTURED, ON THE EXACT DAY IT HAD BEEN PRACTICED AND PERFORMED FROM THE BEGINNING UNDER MOSES AND IN THE WILDERNESS TABERNACLE.

THIS SHOULD STRENGTHEN OUR FAITH BRETHREN. ALL THAT GOD HAS PROMISED AND FORETOLD IN PROPHECY AND TYPOLOGY, EITHER HAS ALREADY COME TO PASS, OR YET WILL COME TO PASS. WE CAN COUNT ON IT, WE CAN LOOK TO IT AS UNTO A LIGHT THAT SHINES IN A DARK PLACE, UNTIL THE DAY DAWN, AND THE DAY STAR ARISE IN YOUR HEARTS (2 Pet.1:19).

SO IT IS WRITTEN, SO IT WILL COME TO PASS!

I hope you, too, can see the awesome picture this day now gives us!

It is on the Wave Sheaf Day that Yehshua went to heaven at 9 AM, at the time of the morning sacrifices. Otherwise known as “Sunday” morning. Yehshua is represented by the Barley in the Wave Offering. The wave offering was done on that 1st day of the week which begins the counting of the Omer to the 50th day of Pentecost.

Do you grasp the importance of this event?

New International Version (©1984) This is why it says:

“When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men.”

New Living Translation (©2007)

That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.”

English Standard Version (©2001)

Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”

New American Standard Bible (©1995)

Therefore it says, “WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN.”

Holman Christian Standard Bible (©2009)

For it says: When He ascended on high, He took prisoners into captivity; He gave gifts to people.

International Standard Version (©2012)

That is why God says, “When he went up to the highest place, he led captives into captivity and gave gifts to people.”

David wrote about this event back in Psalms:

Psalm 68:18 When you ascended on high, you led captives in your train; you received gifts from men, even from the rebellious–that you, O LORD God, might dwell there.

Proverbs 30:4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know!

Yehshua led a host of captives from the grave when He went to heaven that Sunday morning at 9 AM- at the time of the morning offerings. That is the very same moment when the Wave Offering is made. Never before had any man gone to heaven until this time. This is such a huge event I am beside myself
. why others do not or cannot see just how big a deal this was I do not understand.

Now in all of this there is something to keep in mind. Before Yehshua went up to Heaven on this Wave Sheaf Day, NO ONE, NOT ONE PERSON, HAD EVER GONE TO HEAVEN.

Joh 3:13 And no one has ascended up to Heaven except He who came down from Heaven, the Son of Man who is in Heaven.

This is the reason we wait to see if the barley is going to be Aviv or not. Because we need to have barley to make the wave offering found in Lev 23.

Lev 23:10 Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest of it, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah to be received for you. On the next day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

The wave offering represents the first resurrection of the Saints who had lived and died since the creation of Adam up until that time in history. This is HUGE to understand because we now wait for the next Wave offering of Pentecost to come to fruition. The Feast of Pentecost is the wave offering of two leavened loaves.

Lev 23:15 And you shall count to you from the next day after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete. 16 To the next day after the seventh sabbath you shall number fifty days. And you shall offer a new food offering to Jehovah. 17 You shall bring out of your homes two wave loaves of two-tenth parts. They shall be of fine flour. They shall be baked with leaven, firstfruits to Jehovah. 18 And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bull, and two rams. They shall be for a burnt offering to Jehovah, with their food offering, and their drink offerings, a fire offering of sweet savor to Jehovah. 19 Then you shall sacrifice one he-goat for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits, a wave offering before Jehovah, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Jehovah for the priest.

All of those who have lived and died since that day when Yehshua took those with Him to Heaven in 31 C.E. will now be raised in what I believe will be the last year of the tribulation in 2033 C.E. This is all the Apostles and all those Saints who have lived and died over the past 2000 years.

The wave offering is huge in understanding and our future. This is why we wait for the barley to be ripe and then for the wheat to be ripe for Pentecost / Shavuot.

    Greeting Joe,
Who tells us when the year begins? Of course we all agree God tells us. How do we know what to use to determine the start of the new year? Again, simple, God tells us. In only one, single place in His word does He tell us.
Gen 1:14 God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for appointed seasons (MOADIM) and for days and years.”
Tell us again Yah what 3 things do we use to determine the appointed times.
Gen1:16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also.
Ps 136:8 The sun to rule by day
9 The moon and stars to rule by night
Strong’s H4150 moa’dim (from H3259 ya‘ad – to fix, appoint, assemble, meet, set) Definition: appointed place, appointed time, meeting, sacred season, set feast, appointed season.
Joe, you included a verse that confirms this.
Ex 23:15 You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread; as I commanded you, you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days at the MOADIM in the month of Abib.
So, according to the word of God we need only 3 things to determine the moadim and the years. The sun, moon and stars, nothing more. Now, if someone can show me a verse where God tells us barley determines the new year, not the 3 things God says, I’d be happy to agree. It’s always good to be in agreement.
Abib is the name of the 1st month, it is not a factor in determining the years or moadim. Of course the 1st month is named Abib because that’s when the crops are abib.
Joe you are very tolerant of other opinions and we all should thank you for that. I certainly appreciate your open mindedness and consideration for other points of view. It’s your forum Joe so I won’t detail my method of determining the new year but simply give you the gist of it.
The Zodiac is the stars God placed around our Solar System. It has twelve divisions of 30 degrees each, a month (a sign to astrologers) for each division. Aries is the first division of the year. When the Sun comes into Aries, then the first new moon that comes into Aries will be the first day of the year. Quite simple. (apologies for the pagan terms)
To require barley as a determining factor leads to confusion and also the disaster a couple of years ago between you and Nehemia Gordon which upset a lot of believers. We should not fret whether the barley will be ripe in time for that is not our responsibility but Yah’s. Follow His instructions and He will take care of everything else.
    Shalom,
    David Smith

    Hi Joe,
Might you be so kind as to allow me one more comment?
You quote Samuele Bacchiocchi: “The rest of this harvest of souls to be also so made immortal when Jesus comes again (1 Cor.15:23; 1 Thes.4:13-18).”
Then you immediately contradict him when you write: “Yehshua led a host of captives from the grave when He went to heaven that Sunday morning at 9 AM-“
Bacchiocchi give you scriptures for his statement and there are others. The writer of Hebrews writes many years after the resurrection about the Great Cloud of Witnesses?
Heb 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that THEY WITHOUT US SHOULD NOT BE MADE PERFECT.
You also wrote: “The wave offering represents the first resurrection of the Saints who had lived and died since the creation of Adam up until that time in history.”
Would that not include David? Peter says otherwise in his sermon on the Day of Pentecost.
Acts 2:29 Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: ‘Yahweh said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand.”
Joe, you scrutinize Hebrew and Greek pretty closely so I’m surprised you haven’t noticed the Greek and Hebrew words for ‘captivity’ and ‘captive’.
Ps 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity (H7628) captive (H7617).
H7628 shbiy – captivity, state of captivity, captives
H7617 shabah – to take captive, to lead captive, to be taken captive
Let’s not pretend those words mean a crowd of captives, or a host of captives or captives in his train or any other added words. They are what we know they are. Yahshua led captives in captivity (Col 2:15). One example:
2Ch 28:17 And again the Edomites have come, and smite in Judah, and take captive (H7617) a captivity (H7628). YLT
Thanks again Joe for all you do.

    Greetings Joseph;
I have recently had conversations with an old friend who knows Torah but is stuck in the christian perspective. After many conversations, I finally concluded that to be in “Covenant” with our Messiah we must “Honor or give regard to Him by doing what He says. I still got resistance so I ended with this quote (kind of) from Paul. “What are we to honor our King by doing what satan or men say to do? Heaven forbid! We must follow His commands or we are not His”! Point being, we must Keep the Seventh day and the seven Feasts as the sign that we are His or —— we are not His but belong to the adversary. It is a life or death issue. May we who are His be blessed and cleansed as we Keep His Moedim for the rest of our lives. Love you brother . I pray your trip the to Phillipines is a good one. Jim

Last year I became engaged in an online debate about the posted findings out of Israel concerning the findings of the Abib barley harvest. The reports called for an extension of a thirteenth month which was not processed into the setting of the calendar last year. Without a great deal of explanation I am very interested in personally receiving this years report to my email so that I can correctly determine the feast days based on God’s timing, not Hillel 2 calendar. I appreciate the efforts that goes into the work you all provide for those of us who are searching for God’s Moadim’s as accurately as can be determined. My emails are strengthtoescape@yahoo.com and thetenthplanet@yahoo.com You can leave these in the text or block them, either way.

Thank you for everything you do Mr Dumond. I believe it’s wrong of you to say “I would advise all South Africans to begin to get out ASAP” Where do they go? It’s financially almost impossible for middle class families to emigrate. YHVH is faithful! He KNOWS who belongs to Him. Elijah had water when there was none. YHVH even provided food to His faithful servant. There is no where they can “go to” or emigrate to Mr Dumond. The only safe place is in the Covenant we have with YHVH through the blood of His Son – being obedient to His word! Every country out there will get hit by curses sooner or later – “getting out” is not an option, getting INTO Covenant by faith through obedience with the Almighty is!
1Do not fret because of evil-doers, Do not be envious of the workers of unrighteousness.
2For they soon wither like grass, And fade like green plants.
3Trust in ????, and do good; Dwell in the earth, and feed on steadfastness.
4And delight yourself in ????, And let Him give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to ????, And trust in Him, and He does it.
6And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your right-ruling as midday.
7Rest in ????, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man doing wicked devices.
8Abstain from displeasure, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, also to do evil.
9For evil-doers are cut off; But those who wait on ????, They shall inherit the earth.
10Yet a little while and the wrong is no more; And you shall look on his place, But it is not.
11But the meek ones shall inherit the earth, And delight themselves in plenty of peace.

It is indeed wrong of you to tell people not to flee. In the days of Jeremiah, those who preached against Jeremiah were named and they died in the coming war. We are warning people of what is coming and when. IN a short while we will have a newsletter telling you where to flee to. But how many will?
Each time when Israel of Judah were about to be destroyed, Yehovah warned them through various prophets. Few listened. Many did not. Ever notice that there are three tribes who are not reported as to being taken captive by Assyria? What happened to them and why are they not mentioned? It is because they heeded the warnings and fled before they were destroyed.
Yes Every country will be hit by the curses. But even Elijah had a place to go during the 3 1/2 years of no rain. We will soon announce this place from the very scriptures that warn us war is coming.
