Shabbat Zoom Meeting

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teach you and encourage you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable to explain why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Reminders

This coming week, you will hear many reports about the ripeness of the barley. I do hope you review what we said in last week’s Newsletter so that you will be able to judge if the barley will be ready in 4 weeks’ time or in another 29 days on Wave Sheaf Day.

We fully expect the New Year to begin Thursday night at Sunset on March 3, 2022, making Thursday evening and Friday day the 1st day of the new year 5858. And from there you begin to count to Passover and all the Holy Days.

It is the start of the 6th year of the Sabbatical Cycle. A year to send a tithe to the widows and orphans. The 7th day of the first month is a special day to pray for your families. That day is March 10, 2022.

Wars and Rumors of War

Thursday, February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine after warning the world and the world intelligence forewarned they were going to do it.

The day they invaded, people were lined up at banks to withdraw money and the bank machines ran out of money and the banks were closed. People lined up for miles to get gas so they could flee. Gas stations ran out and the highways were packed.

Why did no one plan ahead?

Others who were able to drive had no clue where to flee to because the attacks were across the entire country. So they abandoned their cars and hid where ever they could from the shelling.

Why did no one plan ahead?

Russia is expected to unleash a serious cyber attack which once launched could go far beyond the borders of Ukraine and end up affecting other institutions around the world. Malware does not know borders.

Have you planned ahead?

And all those treaties signed with Ukraine by the European Union, the USA as well as pledges from countries like Canada all ring hollow right now. All those threats of sanctions against Russia are meaningless unless you are willing to back them up with power. And the only power to contend with Russia was the USA. They are proving to be paper tigers.

Right now we all need to pray for our Brethren in Ukraine and our Brethren in Russia. We need to pray for our Brethren everywhere.

Mat 24:5  For many will come in My name, saying, I am Christ, and will deceive many.

Mat 24:6  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must occur; but the end is not yet.

Mat 24:7  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places.

Mat 24:8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mat 24:9  Then they will deliver you up to be afflicted and will kill you. And you will be hated of all nations for My name’s sake.

Mat 24:10  And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Mat 24:11  And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.

Mat 24:12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.

Mat 24:13  But he who endures to the end, the same shall be kept safe.

On February 21, Gatestone wrote the following. On February 22, Russia first invaded Donetsk and Luhansk Ukraine. The USA and President Biden stood there and watched.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an emotional speech on the 21st of this month, made it clear that he believes Ukraine is a part of Russia.

U.S. President Joe Biden must now demand that Moscow withdraw its forces from all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea and Donbas. The Kremlin has, among other things, violated the assurances it gave Kyiv in the Budapest Memorandum. Biden, however, has so far shown little inclination to hold Russia to its promises.

In December 1994, the United States, Great Britain, Russia and Ukraine signed the Memorandum on Security Assurances in Connection with Ukraine’s Accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, more commonly known as the Budapest Memorandum.

In that document, the three parties made six commitments to Ukraine. In the most important of the pledges, they stated that they “reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine, in accordance with the principles of the CSCE Final Act, to respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine.”

“Some have argued that, since the United States did not invade Ukraine, it abided by its Budapest Memorandum commitments,” wrote Steven Pifer of the Brookings Institution in 2019. “True, in a narrow sense. However, when negotiating the security assurances, U.S. officials told their Ukrainian counterparts that, were Russia to violate them, the United States would take a strong interest and respond.”

To be clear, as Pifer notes, Washington did not extend a NATO-like guarantee, but the U.S. should nonetheless act vigorously, he argued, “because it said it would act if Russia violated the Budapest Memorandum.”

“That was part of the price it paid in return for a drastic reduction in the nuclear threat to America,” Pifer wrote. “The United States should keep its word.”

Yes, the U.S. should. To induce Ukraine to give up the nuclear weapons inherited on the dissolution of the Soviet Union—Ukraine ended up with some 6,000 warheads, the world’s third-largest arsenal at the time—the U.S., Great Britain, and Russia agreed to provide assurances. If Washington were to allow Russia to gobble up the rest of Ukraine, it would tell non-nuclear states they must have nuclear arsenals because they cannot rely on the nuclear weapons powers for security.

So far, the situation is not looking good for Ukraine. In 2014, Vladimir Putin annexed Crimea and effectively sawed off the Donbas region. Neither the U.S. nor Britain imposed crippling costs on Russia for naked aggression.

“Boy, after this, nobody is going to give up nuclear weapons,” Arthur Waldron of the University of Pennsylvania told Gatestone. As Waldron suggests, American policy toward Ukraine provides a horrible example.

This time, the situation is even worse for the former Soviet republic. Russia on February 21 recognized two breakaway regions—the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics—in Donbas and now looks set to take the rest of the country in one giant gulp.

Biden immediately sanctioned the two regions but did not impose costs on the bad actor, Russia. He has promised further measures, but only after an invasion. Moreover, his sanctions are unlikely to be so severe as to force Putin to leave Ukraine. In fact, on the 15th of this month, Biden made it clear that sanctions would be less than regime-threatening. “We do not seek to destabilize Russia,” he said.

Biden’s threats have been unpersuasive and so far Putin has not been persuaded.

“The Biden administration has only belatedly—and half-heartedly—undertaken measures to stop Russian aggression against Ukraine,” says Waldron. “Long ago, the President should have given heavy weapons to Kyiv. And he has not substantially reinforced Europe.”

Since the Cold War, American policy toward Russia has been premised on the notion that a weak Russia was more of a threat to the U.S. than a strong one. As a result of that assessment, Putin has not had to face an America willing to use power to enforce norms.

Whatever the merits of Washington’s tolerant and indulgent approach may have been—I think it was horribly misguided—Putin used this latitude to break apart neighbors and redraw the map of Europe and the Caucasus region with force. It is now time for the United States, to remember the promises made—those in writing and those made informally.

Putin, after all, will not stop at Ukraine.

With weak leadership in the west, in the USA, Canada, Australia, the UK and the EU, and a strong leader in Russia who is not afraid to use his strength, what do you think will happen next? China is pushing to take over Taiwan. Will the USA defend Taiwan? I do not think so. When the USA bailed in Afghanistan they showed they no longer had the stomach to fight and their enemies saw it. Appeasement is an act of weak leaders.

When we look at our Jubilee Charts we can see where we are in that cycle of war. We are also in the middle of the period of time from 2010 to 2024 which has for the past 6 Jubilee Cycles shown us we would have pestilence. Hong Kong is in full-on war mode right now against COVID, while much of the rest of the world is trying to return to normal after dealing with COVID for the past two years.

In Canada, our Prime Minister enacted the Emergencies act (a clear abuse of power against peaceful protests) to combat a bunch of truckers in Ottawa who were there protesting their freedom to choose whether or not to get the vaccine or to wear masks. There is now a copycat protest taking place in the USA with another trucker convoy heading to Washington. Can anyone say 10:4 Rubber Ducky?

Brethren are fighting with brethren over whether or not you get or don’t get the vaccine and some still deny COVID is real. Some will not wear a mask because it infringes on their freedoms. We have brethren no longer talking or associating with others who have a different view. Words are spoken and feelings hurt. People no longer can disagree and remain friends.

But they will believe that something made for pigs is better for them than to listen to any authority because all authorities and all news sources are bad. When did this happen?

People want to fight for freedom. They say our freedom is being taken away. And yes they are right, it is. But it is not being taken away by their weak liberal governments. It is being taken away by Yehovah. So are you going to protest against Yehovah? Are you going to picket the Tabernacle of Yehovah?

When are we going to wake the hell up and understand we are in the Very LAST DAYS right now? When are you going to understand that the Jubilee Cycles are not just another religious teaching for your amusement? When? When will you STOP READING ALL YOUR ALTERNATIVE CONSPIRACY SITES ON FACEBOOK AND BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND DEUTERONOMY 28? When will you believe Leviticus 26?

Some of you are saying you can do both. Apparently not.

When are you going to preach Torah instead of gossip and pass on false stories?

Deu 28:28  Jehovah shall strike you with madness and blindness, and astonishment of heart.

You are also warned this would come in:

Deu 28:34  and you shall be mad because of that which you shall see with the sight of your eyes.

You can go and read all of Deuteronomy 28 and study it. Some of you are focussing on the wrong things. We will continue to tell you this until you begin to focus on the TORAH and teach and speak it. When you speak TORAH and you mix it with your conspiracy teachings you are doing Pharmakia which is not speaking about drugs but it is speaking about mixing Torah with other idolatry sources or other gods that are not gods. Demonic sources.

So long as you keep doing that, so long as you continue to make these fake sources your base for understanding, you will continue to be mad and to go mad.

As proverbs tells you;

Pro 26:11  As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.

The word folly is;

With 2-22-22 just past us, maybe you should read 2 Pet 2:22 with this in mind.

2Pe 2:1  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

2Pe 2:2  And many will follow their pernicious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be evil spoken of.

Does this not sound familiar? WOW. This sounds just like all these conspiracy teachers out there right now whom a number of you give high regard.

2Pe 2:3  And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep.

2Pe 2:4  For if God did not spare sinning angels, but thrust them down into Tartarus, and delivered them into chains of darkness, being reserved to judgment.

2Pe 2:5  And He did not spare the old world, but saved Noah the eighth one, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.

2Pe 2:6  And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, He condemned them with an overthrow, setting an example to men intending to live ungodly.

2Pe 2:7  And He delivered righteous Lot, oppressed with the lustful behavior of the lawless.

2Pe 2:8  For that righteous one living among them, in seeing and hearing, his righteous soul was tormented from day to day with their unlawful deeds.

2Pe 2:9  The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to reserve the unjust for a day of judgment, to be punished,

2Pe 2:10  and especially those who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise dominion. They are darers, self-pleasing; not trembling at glories, speaking evil.

2Pe 2:11  Where angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reproaching accusation against them before the Lord.

Is your accusing condemning source bringing peace to the earth or causing anxiety? Are they teaching you righteousness? Are they teaching you Torah so you can teach Torah to others?

2Pe 2:12  But these, as unreasoning natural brute animals having been born for capture and corruption, speak evil of the things that they do not understand. And they will utterly perish in their own corruption,

2Pe 2:13  being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, deeming indulgence as pleasure in the daytime, and reveling in spots and blemishes, feasting along with you in their deceits,

2Pe 2:14  having eyes full of adultery and never ceasing from sin, alluring unstable souls, having a heart exercised with covetousness. They are cursed children

2Pe 2:15  who have forsaken the right way and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,

2Pe 2:16  but had reproof of his lawbreaking, a dumb ass speaking in a man’s voice, held back the madness of the prophet.

2Pe 2:17  These are wells without water, clouds driven with a tempest, for whom the blackness of darkness is reserved forever.

2Pe 2:18  For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they lure through the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lust, the ones who were escaping from those who live in error;

You have heard of the Freedom Convoy, right rubber ducky?

2Pe 2:19  promising them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom anyone has been overcome, even to this one he has been enslaved.

2Pe 2:20  For if they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the full knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and are again entangled, they have been overcome by these, their last things are worse than the first.

2Pe 2:21  For it would have been better for them not to have fully known the way of righteousness, than fully knowing it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

2Pe 2:22  But the word of the true proverb has happened to them: The dog turning to his own vomit; and, Thewashed sow to wallowing in the mire.

Brethren you have to leave the false teaching sites. And you cannot keep going back to them to see what the latest gossip is. You have to drill down on Torah. We need more teachers of Torah and there are so few now to choose from. We do not need any more teachers of all these conspiracies and mixing them with Torah.

COVID mandates are about to become history. Freedom convoys are yesterday’s news. All this fighting for your freedoms for what? Do you know Yehovah? I mean do you really know Him through the in-depth understanding of His words and the deep meanings in each of those words? Yehovah is the one sending these curses. Do you know Him? If you do then why are you fighting Him? But what does this Jack ass know?

Pro 1:20  Wisdom cries outside; she utters her voice in the streets;

Pro 1:21  she cries in the chief place of gathering, in the openings of the gates; in the city she utters her words, saying,

Pro 1:22  How long will you love simplicity, simple ones? And will scorners delight in their scorning? And will fools hate knowledge?

Pro 1:23  Turn at my warning; behold, I will pour out my Spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.

Pro 1:24  Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention;

Pro 1:25  but you have despised all my advice, and would have none of my warning.

Pro 1:26  I also will laugh at your trouble; I will mock when your fear comes;

Pro 1:27  when your fear comes as a wasting away, and your ruin comes like a tempest when trouble and pain come upon you.

Pro 1:28  Then they shall call upon me, and I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me;

Pro 1:29  instead they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Jehovah.

Pro 1:30  They would have none of my counsel; they despised all my correction,

Pro 1:31  and they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own desires.

Pro 1:32  For the turning away of the simple kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them.

Pro 1:33  But whoever listens to me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Time is running out. Freedom is gone. Yehovah is taking it away from everyone. Who do you want to fight? You should have been fighting society years ago when they began to remove God from the schools; when they stopped going to church. Where was your voice then? When people turned their backs on Yehovah and said they did not need Him. Where was your voice then? Well, now we are reaping what we have sown. We have rejected Our King and He is now rejecting us.

What are we to make of this invasion of Ukraine? It is a localized war. Will it spread to the rest of the world? I do not know. What I do know is what the scriptures tell us.

They say when you see the Abomination set up. We have not yet seen it set up.

Mat 24:15  Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand).

Mat 24:16  Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains.

Mat 24:17  Let him on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house;

Mat 24:18  nor let him in the field turn back to take his clothes.

Mat 24:19  And woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!

Mat 24:20  But pray that your flight is not in the winter, nor on the sabbath day;

Mat 24:21  for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time; no, nor ever shall be.

Mat 24:22  And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect’s sake, those days shall be shortened.

We are told when to look for that abomination. 1290 days after the daily have been taken away.

Dan 12:10  Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried. But the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

Dan 12:11  And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the desolating abomination set up, a thousand two hundred and ninety days shall occur.

Dan 12:12  Blessed is he who waits and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

Dan 12:13  But you go on to the end, for you shall rest and stand in your lot at the end of the days.

When was the daily taken away? We have been telling you this was March 11, 2020. That is when all the churches, synagogues, temples and mosques around the world were shut down. Many of you protested those churches being locked up under your freedom to assemble or freedom of religious mantras. But did any of you see Yehovah in this? Were you fighting Yehovah in these protests? Are you still fighting him now?

The King of the North, the EU, has not yet invaded the promised land. Until that happens then and only then can you expect the wars and rumours of wars to increase. The King of the North fighting against the Russians is told to you in Daniel. They will at that time also have to fight the Chinese of the East. It will be the Chinese and Russian who defeat and destroy Babylon, the EU.

Dan 11:40  And at the end-time, the king of the south shall butt at him. And the king of the north shall come against him like a tempest, with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships.

Dan 11:41  And he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and pass over. He shall also enter into the glorious land, and many shall be stumbled. But these shall escape out of his hand: Edom and Moab, and the chief of the sons of Ammon.

Dan 11:42  And he shall stretch out his hand on the lands. And the land of Egypt shall not escape.

Dan 11:43  But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt. And the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

Dan 11:44  But news out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him. Then he will go out with great fury to destroy, and to devote many to destruction.

Dan 11:45  And he shall plant his palace tents between the seas in the glorious holy mountain. Yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Somewhere between now and then, just 8 years from now, the USA and the UK and her commonwealth are going to be destroyed. Do any of you worry about that or comprehend just how serious that will be?

We honestly believed it was to come in 2020. It did not. Israel fell in the 6th year of the Sabbatical cycle of war during their time in 723 BC. If you count the time for the abomination to be set up, then that would take you into the Sabbatical year at the fall feasts. Just 6 months before the next Sabbatical cycle of captivity begins starting in 2024.

Social media and conspiracy groups will not and do not give you this type of information. Your Torah does. May I suggest you spend more time there, especially now as prophecy marches on whether you understand it or not?

As I promised here is another section of the current book I am writing The 10 Days of Awe and the Abomination that Makes Desolate. The ladies editing it and proofing me are constantly writing how amazed they are at the things I am sharing. The understandings they now have about things they just never thought of.

If you all would just spend your time reading and studying Leviticus 16 instead of….I have said enough about that for now.  But if more of you studied your Bible, you too could know these things and be telling others.

I am now working on the final chapter. With editing cover designs and revisions already taking place.

The Azazel

In Leviticus 16 you are told about the two goats. In light of everything we are showing you here about Mount Golgotha and all that is happening on it, you must now look at the Azazel Goat and understand what is being told to you.

7 And he shall take the two he-goats and present them before Jehovah at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 8 And Aaron shall cast lots on the two he-goats; one lot for Jehovah and the other lot for a complete removal. (Leviticus 16:7-8)

The reason lots are cast is because we cannot tell on our own which goat is Satan and which is Yehovah. Note one is Yehovah not Yehshua. The other is Satan or the Azazel goat which many today think is Yehshua.

7 And he shall take the two he-goats and present them before Jehovah at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 8 And Aaron shall cast lots on the two he-goats; one lot for Jehovah and the other lot for a complete removal. (Leviticus 16:7-8)

9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:9)

Satan, has wanted to Be Like the Most High, as we are told in Isaiah.

10 All of them shall speak and say to you, Are you also as weak as we? Are you like us? 11 Your pride is brought down to the grave, and the noise of your harps. The maggot is spread under you, and the worms cover you. 12 How you are fallen from the heavens, O shining star, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations!13 For you have said in your heart, I will go up to the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. 14 I will go up above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High. 15 Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the Pit. (Isaiah 14:10-15)

The Azazel goat is not Jesus no matter how many try and make it so. Today the scape goat is said to be the one who pays the price but did not do it. This is a diabolical twist on the actual meaning. The Scape goat is the guilty goat.
The goat that represents Yehovah is the one that will be offered as a sin offering. It is the one that represented Yehovah dying in the tree on that Passover morning.

9 And Aaron shall bring the goat on which Jehovah’s lot fell, and offer it for a sin offering. 10 But the goat on which the lot fell to be the complete removal shall be presented alive before Jehovah, to make an atonement with him, to let him go for a complete removal into the wilderness. (Leviticus 16:9-10)

The live goat, that looks like Yehovah is the one that is going to have all the sins of Israel laid upon it. It is the guilty goat. Today far too many think the scape goat is innocent. It is not. It is the one who brought sin into this world when it tempted Eve in the garden at the very beginning.

20 And when he has made an end of reconciling the sanctuary and the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, he shall bring the live goat. 21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the sins of the sons of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send away by the hand of a chosen man into the wilderness. 22 And the goat shall bear on him all their sins to a land in which no one lives. And he shall let the goat go in the wilderness. (Leviticus 16:20-22)

If your religion is not following the commandments of Yehovah; if you have done away with the “Old Testament laws”, then chances are very good you have been deceived and the god you follow is Satan. The only way to know is to compare everything your faith says to do with what is written in the Bible.
The description of a chosen man who takes the goat into the wilderness is described in the exact same way in Revelation only this time it is stating categorically that it is Satan who is being dragged away and thrown into a pit.

1 And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. 3 And he cast him into the abyss and shut him up and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little time. (Revelation 20:1-3)

The goat described as the scapegoat is also called in Hebrew the Azazel goat. Now as you go through the Strong’s definitions pay attention to deeper meanings given to you. We are looking at the word H5799.

But the goat, H8163  on H5921  which H834  the lot H1486  fell H5927  to be the scapegoat, H5799  shall be presented H5975  alive H2416  before H6440  the LORD, H3068  to make an atonement H3722  with H5921  him, and to let him go H7971  ( H853 ) for a scapegoat H5799  into the wilderness. H4057 (Leviticus 16:10)

Just in case you missed it let me share another couple of scriptures that will help you to know who the Azazel goat is.

In Hebrew when you greet someone you often say “Shalom” and this is accepted as meaning peace. But that is not what the word means. It is made up of the letter shin, ש which represents the teeth or to destroy. The lamed is the shepherd’s staff or authority, L and the mem מ represents chaos. What you are saying when you greet someone with shalom is in actuality to destroy the authority of chaos, then and only then will you have peace. I point this out because of the spelling of the Azazel word as noted above.

Valley of Azal

When the mount of Offence splits in two and the half moves towards the south. The massive valley that is going to be created is the valley by which we are told to flee in Zechariah. But the name of the valley into which this mountain moves is called the Azal Valley. It lies just to the south of the Mount of Offence and extends down towards the Dead Sea.
How symbolic that the abomination that makes desolate will be thrown into the same valley that the goats were cast into on the day of Atonement year after year.
As we were looking for a map of this place to show you, we discovered the ones to follow, which now has opened a can of worms that we must sort through.

3 And Jehovah shall go out and fight against those nations, like the day He fought in the day of battle. 4 And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall divide from its middle, from the east and to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And you shall flee to the valley of My mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. And Jehovah my God shall come, and all the saints with you. (Zechariah 14:3-5) MKJV

We have discovered a controversy about these verses in Zechariah. Those bibles which are based on the Greek Septuagint, (LXX), say something very different.

Depending upon the source manuscript used, Azal is transcribed Jasol (ιασολ, pronounced Yasol), Jasod (a corruption of Jasol), or Asael (ασαηλ) and today this same area is known as Wadi Yasul.
The Greek, Russian, and Syrian Bibles, The New Jerusalem Bible, the New American Bible, the New English Bible, the Concordant Literal Version, and the 1992 Tanakh: The Holy Scriptures have the following:

5 The valley between the hills will be filled in, yes, it will be blocked as far as Jasol, it will be filled in as it was by the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah.

The MKJV which we have been using throughout this book is based on the Hebrew Masoretic Text. The Greek version above is based on an older translation known as the Septuagint or LXX.

During the period 1873-1874, Charles Clermont-Ganneau,[2] a renowned linguist and archaeologist in Palestine, explored many tombs in a valley immediately south of Jerusalem that the local peasants called Wady Yasul (wady is Arabic for stream channel, or valley). Based on linguistic and geographic evidence, Clermont-Ganneau proposed that Wady Yasul is Azal. The Israelis, in apparent agreement with Clermont-Ganneau’s discovery, named the valley Nahal Etsel (נחל אצל). Nahal (נחל) means stream channel, or valley; and the Hebrew spelling of Etsel (אצל) is identical to the Hebrew spelling of Azal (אצל). Consequently, it is now common knowledge among Jerusalem’s locals that Wady Yasul is biblical Azal.
Wady Yasul (Nahal Etsel, or Azal) is the valley between the dashed lines in the picture below that was taken from a blimp in 1931. The arrow in the top right corner points to the head of the stream of Yasul, the mountain in the bottom left corner is the southernmost summit of the Mount of Olives (Mount of Corruption) situated at the mouth of the same stream, and Jerusalem lies in the bottom center and bottom right of the picture. Wady Yasul is currently bordered on the west by the Jerusalem Peace Forest and the neighborhood of Talpiot; on the north by the Abu Tor neighborhood on the southern slope of the Hill of Evil Council; and on the south by the neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber on the Armon Hanatziv Ridge.

While there is no credible evidence that the Masoretic rendering of Zechariah 14:5 is correct, there is considerable evidence that both the LXX rendering of Zechariah 14:5 and Clermont-Ganneau’s theory are correct. The very similar pronunciations of Jasol (pronounced Yasol) and Yasul suggest that Jasol is a Greek transcription of the Arabic word for Azal (i.e., Yasul), which has been preserved since Jerusalem’s destruction in 70 AD by Arab culture local to the area. Clermont-Ganneau claimed the Arabic Yasul“corresponds exactly, satisfying all the rules of etymology, with the Hebrew” Azal. A paper published in 1984 by Israeli geologists Daniel Wachs and Dov Levitte identifies the location of a large landslide on the southernmost summit of the Mount of Olives directly adjacent to both Wady Yasul and the area of the ancient kings’ gardens at the juncture of the Hinnom and Kidron Valleys. Their discovery validates Jewish historian Flavius Josephus’ account of an earthquake-caused landslide during King Uzziah’s reign blocking up the kings’ gardens in the valley. It also accords with George Adam Smith’s field research in the early part of the 20th century that revealed the valley floor in the area of the ancient kings’ gardens is covered with about fifty (50) feet of earthen debris. The photo below, taken sometime in the early part of the twentieth century by a member of the American Colony in Jerusalem, shows this landslide location at the top of the Mount of Olives (right side of photo). The view is towards Jerusalem to the north overlooking Wady Yasul in the foreground (labeled Azal in photo). Slumping landslide colluvium can be seen covering the lower half of the visible southwestern slope extending from Wady Yasul to the kings’ gardens (almost 0.3 mile, or 0.5 km). The massive volume of colluvial material at the base of the Mount of Olives makes it obvious that at some prior time landslide rubble filled in and blocked this entire section of valley. This evidence validates the LXX rendering of Zechariah 14:5, which states a valley will be blocked up and filled in as far as Azal.[3]

Josephus identified the valley that was filled in during King Uzziah’s reign as that part of the Kidron Valley containing the kings’ gardens. Let me quote this whole story for you so you understand.

While Uzziah was in this state, and making preparation [for futurity], he was corrupted in his mind by pride, and became insolent, and this on account of that abundance which he had of things that will soon perish, and despised that power which is of eternal duration (which consisted in piety towards God, and in the observation of the laws); so he fell by occasion of the good success of his affairs, and was carried headlong into those sins of his father, which the splendor of that prosperity he enjoyed, and the glorious actions he had done, led him into, while he was not able to govern himself well about them. Accordingly, when a remarkable day was come, and a general festival was to be celebrated, he put on the holy garment, and went into the temple to offer incense to God upon the golden altar, which he was prohibited to do by Azariah the high priest, who had fourscore priests with him, and who told him that it was not lawful for him to offer sacrifice, and that “none besides the posterity of Aaron were permitted so to do.” And when they cried out that he must go out of the temple, and not transgress against God, he was wroth at them, and threatened to kill them, unless they would hold their peace. In the mean time a great earthquake shook the ground and a rent was made in the temple, and the bright rays of the sun shone through it, and fell upon the king’s face, insomuch that the leprosy seized upon him immediately. And before the city, at a place called Eroge, half the mountain broke off from the rest on the west, and rolled itself four furlongs[4], and stood still at the east mountain, till the roads, as well as the king’s gardens, were spoiled by the obstruction. Now, as soon as the priests saw that the king’s face was infected with the leprosy, they told him of the calamity he was under, and commanded that he should go out of the city as a polluted person. Hereupon he was so confounded at the sad distemper, and sensible that he was not at liberty to contradict, that he did as he was commanded, and underwent this miserable and terrible punishment for an intention beyond what befitted a man to have, and for that impiety against God which was implied therein. So he abode out of the city for some time, and lived a private life, while his son Jotham took the government; after which he died with grief and anxiety at what had happened to him, when he had lived sixty- eight years, and reigned of them fifty-two; and was buried by himself in his own gardens. [5]
Israeli geologists have identified a large, old landslide on the Mount of Olives directly adjacent to the area of the ancient kings’ gardens, which validates Josephus’ account of Uzziah’s landslide.

The picture below shows this landslide location atop the Mount of Olives. Slumping landslide rubble is visible at the base of its western slope directly adjacent to the area of the ancient kings’ gardens. The view is to the southeast with the valley of Azal in the background. Though not visible in this photograph, landslide rubble also lays at the base of the southwestern slope all the way to Azal.[6]

Upon looking at the word for flee in MKJV, I do not see anything to indicate the Valley Azal is to be blocked even though everything presented above shows it will be. But what I do see is that you are to flee towards the banner or the Standard of Yehovah.

I have gone through all of this to show how awesome Yehovah is.  When that mountain does split during that great earthquake in which 7000 will die, according to Revelation 11:13, then the abomination of desolation is going to fall not into just any old pit. No, the abomination is going to be violently thrown down into the pit of the Azazel valley just as the goat was thrown off the cliff into that same valley each and every Day of Atonement, only this time the red ribbon will turn white [7] and stay that way for the next thousand years.

This ritual of choosing two animals, slaughtering one and sending away the other, is paralleled in the Yom Kippur scapegoat ritual (Lev 16), in which one animal is sacrificed as a ḥaṭṭā’t (חטאת), a “purification” offering to YHWH, while the other is sent into the wilderness to Azazel, a kind of demonic counterpart to YHWH: Lev 16:10 And the goat designated by lot for Azazel shall be left standing alive before YHWH, to make expiation with it, and to send it off to the wilderness for Azazel.

This too is a cleansing ritual, but noticeably absent are the materials used to purify the metzora, the person suffering from skin disease. However, in the Mishnah’s depiction of this ritual, one of these materials, the scarlet wool (שְׁנִי תוֹלַעַת)—crimson thread (לשון של זהורית) in Mishnaic Hebrew—appears.

The Crimson Thread in the Mishnah

Mishnah Yoma gives a detailed cultic and literary description of the high priest’s tasks on the Day of Atonement that closely follows the biblical source in Leviticus 16. At the same time, it records some significant differences. The most obvious example is that whereas in the Bible the animal is simply sent into the wilderness, in the Mishnah it is pushed down a cliff and killed. Another difference is the use of a crimson thread (= biblical scarlet wool).

According to the Mishnah’s account, the thread was tied to the scapegoat twice. First, it was tied immediately following the casting of the lot for the two goats (m. Yoma 4:2; Danby): He bound a thread of crimson wool on the head of the scapegoat and he turned it towards the way by which it was to be sent out.

It was tied on the animal again after it had been sent into the wilderness, immediately before it was pushed off a cliff (m. Yoma 6:6):

He divided the thread of crimson wool and tied one half to the rock, and the other half between its horns.

The Mishnah’s conception here fits with its interpretation of the metzora ritual in Leviticus 14. The biblical text references dipping the live bird in the blood of the dead bird, together with cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet wool, and the Mishnah takes this one step further (m. Neg. 14:1):

How do they cleanse the leper? … He took cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet wool and bound them together with the ends of the stripe [of wool] and attaches the tips of the wings and the tip of the tail of the second bird (i.e., the live bird) to them.

The practice of connecting the scarlet wool to the unsacrificed bird that is to be sent away parallels the custom of attaching a thread to the scapegoat for Azazel (m. Yoma6:7).

Early Christian Sources Buttress the Mishnah’s Account

Two independent early Christian texts, which evidently drew on a common source that predates the Mishnah, testify to the practice of the crimson thread with the scapegoat. The Greek Epistle of Barnabas, probably composed in Alexandria sometime between the destruction of the Second Temple (70 C.E.) and the Bar Kochba rebellion (131 C.E.), writes (7:6–8):

Note what was commanded: “Take two goats, goodly and alike, and offer them, and let the priest take the one as a burnt offering for sins.” But what are they to do with the other? … “And do ye all spit on it, and goad it, and bind the scarlet wool about its head, and so let it be cast into the desert” (Loeb, Kirsopp Lake).

Similarly, the Carthaginian church father, Tertullian (ca. 160–ca. 225), in his Latin Against the Jews, writes (14:9):

So, again, I will make an interpretation of the two goats which were habitually offered on the fast-day …the one of them, begirt with scarlet, amid cursing and universal spitting, and tearing, and piercing, was cast away by the people outside the city into perdition… (Thelwall trans.).

These sources demonstrate that this part of the scapegoat ritual does not reflect rabbinic imagination about the past, but was part of the practice in the Second Temple. While it is absent in the Torah, it might be included among the old local traditions that were preserved by Hellenistic Judaism—what Josephus calls the “tradition of the fathers” (παράδοσις τῶν πατέρων) (Ant. 13.297) and the Sages call a tradition or oral law that possess little or no basis in Scripture (m. Having now read all of this consider the following. Solomon built altars for this Azal, or Satan worship.

1Ki 11:7  Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill which is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the sons of Ammon.

1Ki 11:8  And likewise he did for all his foreign wives, and burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.

And where exactly did he build these altars? When you look from Jerusalem toward this mount, where is the right-hand side?

2Ki 23:13  And the high places which were before Jerusalem on the right hand of the Mount of Corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the sons of Ammon, the king defiled.

2Ki 23:14  And he broke the images in pieces, and cut down the Asherahs, and filled their places with the bones of men.

Now look at the Revelation

Rev 20:1  And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

Rev 20:2  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.

This same valley that Israel has been throwing the Azal goat into each and every year on the day of Atoneemnt is the same one that is going to be shaken and split wide apart and into it is going to fall the statues that Solomon built before 930 B.C. as well as the abomination that will be set up in the very near future in our day. All of them will be cast into this pit that is about to open up.

Isn’t Yehovah amazing how He has planned for and is going to execute all of this so that prophecy is fulfilled? Amazing!!
