The Greater Exodus

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Speaking Tours

I am adding a new line to the sign up forms so that you can add your state or province which you live in.

I am doing this because some are asking for fellowship in certain states. If I have this information I can send an email out to all those just in that one state or province if they would like to meet. Up until now we only wanted to know what country you are in. I will leave the state as optional.

I am also offering to come to various countries and speak. This way I can let all those in that state or country know when I would be meeting and where in their area.

So if you want to know these things then please fill in your state or province on the sign up form for the News letter. https://sightedmoon.org/newsletter-signup55469575

It is my hope to be able to speak in London England, Netherland, France, Switzerland, the Philippines and South Africa. And it is my hope to do so this summer before the abomination is set up.

We will be in Hong Kong May 16-17 and then in Manila Phillippines from May 18 to June 14. Let us know if your interested in joining us.

Here is what I need from those of you who want me to come. I need a hall with a minimum of 12 foot ceiling so I can put up our banner. It is 11 feet tall and 20 feet wide.  I need a minimum of 50 people. I need someone local to host me. That is, organize and set up the event and take care of all the details for the event and take care of me from the time I get off the plane until I get back on it again.

If you want me to present this to your group then time is fast running out. Organize it ASAP and make it happen.

Wales

We have a group planning for us to come to Wales near Cardiff to speak this summer. If you are in this area then we need you to make sure your email has the city and country so we can let you know when and where this event will take place. .https://sightedmoon.org/newsletter-signup55469575

When I go to my email list and search for all those in Wales, or Scotland, or Ireland or UK, I can send them a direct message. Click the link above and make sure we have you state or province and country besides your name and email so you can be notified.

The Costs of Doing This Work

The Cost of Doing this Work

There is a custom in the Philippines going back to when missionaries first began to arrive on the islands. The missionaries used to promise the people that if they came out and let them preach to them, they would get a meal just for coming out. That tradition has continued down to today.

Last year when I spoke in Cebu, we had about 3000 people come out for the conference. I was allowed to speak for 15 minutes during the lunch period as the meals were passed out and eaten. I took full advantage of the grace given to me while they ate and spoke for an hour. There were 6 other speakers at this event that day.

I did not have to finance the meals at this event. Each mean costs about $3 US and consists of chicken and rice and a bun. Very basic. The organizer had to spend close to $10,000 on meals alone for this one event plus rent the arena we were in. This does not cover the costs involved in getting there and the hotels once they arrived.

At most of the event on that tour in Mindanao, I did cover the meals and the venue for each time I spoke. The cost of gas, hotels and meals for about 6 men involved and then the venue is always daunting. How do we cover this event let alone the next one in a few days time?

In one weeks time, I will be off to Hong Kong for a few days and then on to the Philippines for about one month. In the past we have always covered the costs of hotels, travel, gas, meals, and venues. It has more than vexed my bottom line, but we paid it none the less. People complain about me selling our books. They think my time and effort should be free. They never consider the costs involved in doing this work. I no longer have my company which would cover the costs involved. Now, I am on my pension and it just does not cover it all. The cost in airfares and hotels just to get to the Philippines is going to cost us over $4000. The cost for the tour has yet to be determined.

So, is it worth it, you may ask? The answer is most assuredly, yes!

When you have men like Aike, Dennis, Alvin, Frank, and Telesphore in East Africa, who are now teaching Torah using the understanding from the Jubilee Cycles to enrich the brethren’s understanding of Yehovah, then absolutely, it is worth it. To then have so many pastors whom Aike has invited who want to learn these truths and then teach them to their assemblies, is priceless. So yes, the investment is churning out a great return. But the investment is still needed to be made at this time to encourage and develop those men who will be teaching this once I leave.

So I am asking for your help. I am asking you to invest in the teaching of these men in the Philippines on this trip, but also in East Africa, Hong Kong, Europe, and places Yehovah has yet to send us to.

I am asking for and looking for sponsors, no, investors who want to invest in the Kingdom of Yehovah and help fund our Philippine speaking tour covering the costs involved.

I want to also at this time thank those who have been supporting this ministry each and every month for all these years. Thank you. You have helped to cover our expenses when we went to the Philippines in September 2022, and our tour across the USA, followed by our short speaking engagement in the UK. We much more work to do and I want to again thank you for your continued support.

The Shmita Year of 2023

We are now in our 3rd month of the Sabbatical year. How does it feel? Excited? You are now almost 1/4 way through the Sabbatical year.  You are allowed to eat some of the food you have stored away. LOL. I know looking at it each day wondering if it was enough still plays on your mind. So eat some of it and let the Sabbatical year be a blessing to you and your family.

Brethren find a way to obey. Stop finding excuses why you can’t do this or that.

If you just discovered this was the Shmita year, then stock up now for the remainder of the year. Don’t plant or harvest this year. Obey Yehovah.

The Shmita Year of 2023

Aviv 1 on February 21/22, 2023 began the 7th Year of Rest. You can prove this by understanding that 2 King 19:29 spoke about a 49th and 50th-year land rest. Knowing this was 701 and 700 BC, you can then count by 7 or 49 and land on every Sabbatical year or every Jubilee in history. All of our proof’s line up with this understanding.

We want to encourage you to watch and share this video of our teaching at GLC about the Sabbatical Year.

In this Sabbatical year, you are:

  1. Not to Plant
  2. Not to Harvest
  3. Stock up on Food in the 6th year
  4. Forgive Debts
  5. Read the Torah Out Loud on the 1st day of Sukkot.

These are the basic rules that you are to keep in order to be blessed by Yehovah. As of this writing, it is not too late to stock up for the year.

There are 365 days in the year. Let’s just say there are 400 days, in case there is an Adar Bet next year. You can buy 400 Cans of Soup to have one meal of soup each day during the year. One can of soup costs about $2, so for $800 you have a year’s supply of soup. But if you are not going to eat soup every day then take out half and buy canned beans, vegetables and fruits.

You can do this. Do not say you can’t do this. Find the will to find a way to get this done. Find excuses as to why you will obey. We are coming into the 5th curse over the next 7 years. That curse is famine and it will be so bad that people will eat their own children. So stock up on food now so you can obey Yehovah. And extra food will be a welcome blessing later.

Brethren, this is not that hard to do. What it takes is the willpower to do it: that and a little planning. You can buy meat throughout the year. It is not a ban on meat. You can also eat anything that grows of itself during the year. But do not plan on living off of those things that come from the ground. It they fail then you have no food. Stock up now, and if something grows, they are a bonus, but they are also free game for the neighbours and the animals. So they might eat it before you do. Plan ahead and stock up now. You still have time to get it done.

I received this email this week and want to share it and answer it with you all.

Message: Hello Joseph

I was wondering – are we allowed to still buy “old stock” from the store up to 22 Feb 2023? Most products have Production dates and Sell by dates on them. I am staying away from fresh vegetables and fruit but if I can see on a canned item or on frozen vegetables that the Production date in well outside of the beginning of the Shmita year, I am allowed to buy it?

As you might know, we (South Africa) are sometimes without power for up to 8 hours, sometimes more, a day. I therefore did not invest in an extra freezer or fridge for we are expecting the collapse of the grid any day and all those frozen things will have to be thrown away. I have stocked up for the Shmita year, but still have this impression on my spirit that I have to keep doing it for as long as I can – especially canned goods.

Personally I do not see why I can’t, because it is old stock. Nowhere do I read in the Torah that you are not allowed to buy the old stock in the Shmita year (provided of course that you can find a Production date on the can/container that is well outside the beginning of our Shmita year. But, my understanding of it may be wrong, so I would really appreciate your input.

Shalom

Melanie

South Africa

As I always do here is my standard answer as to what you are to do during the Sabbatical year.

  1. Not to Plant
  2. Not to Harvest
  3. Stock up on Food in the 6th year
  4. Forgive Debts
  5. Read the Torah Out Loud on the 1st day of Sukkot.

Each person is different. Each person has a different culture they live in. Some do not have electric power. Some are called and discover this information and the sabbatical year has already begun. Yehovah has called each of us from the walk we are in. Different races, different problems. But He HAS called you to begin NOW to obey. So, start to obey from that point on with all your might and all your ability. But Start!!!

Joe Dumond Rules

In answer to Melanie, these are now what I do. They are not written in Torah. This would come under Joe Dumond rules, which must be changed when found to be out of alignment with Yehovah’s Laws. Each of you will develop you own rules for you and your family. I might not agree with them but so long as we are all keeping the 5 rules of the Shmita year then do not judge others who are trying to obey. Let Yehovah judge them. Let Yehovah bless them according to what they do right and what they do wrong. But do not let us go around attacking each other, and especially those who are trying.

I have stocked up my food for the upcoming year. Here in Ontario, Canada, I will use Shavuot as another one of my benchmarks. I will explain in a moment.

Here in Ontario, I will continue to buy and eat apples that were grown in Ontario up until about Shavuot 2023. This means any apples marked as product of Ontario would have been grown and harvested in 2022. New Apples will not be available from Ontario until some time in the summer of 2023. So my cut off date will be Shavuot 2023. Potatoes grown here in Canada either from Ontario or Prince Edward Island, the main place potatoes are grown in Canada will not come on the market until about August. Again, I can use last years stocks up until my cut off date of Shavuot 2023.

Here in Ontario, our lettuce and most fresh fruit and vegetables comes from around the world and take about 7 days to go from being picked to the store. So for me, as of Passover 2023, I will not be eating any fresh greens from the stores. I will eat only what I have already bought before that date which is now passed. Most canned fruits and vegetables are from last years harvest. So canned goods I will continue to stock up on. I believe I will finish this the week after the Days of Unleavened Bread. I know there is no yeast in them, but I have had many problems to resolve with my wife about storing food here in the apartment, which is forcing me to be very precise in all I do.

Now if I am going to use Shavuot as my cut off date for those things grown here in Ontario, then next year when the Sabbatical Year ends at Aviv in 2024, then I also will continue to not eat those things grown in Ontario, until they come into season here locally. For example, I will wait until August before eating Apples again. I will wait until August before I eat new potatoes.

After Aviv 1 in 2024, when fresh strawberries begin to arrive on the store shelves in Ontario I will wait until around the 1st of the second month before I eat them. I am doing this because the shelve life is about a week or two. So if I wait until the 1st of the 2nd month, then those fresh products will have been harvested in 2024 after Aviv, when we can then again harvest. In the past I have waited and to set the date at Shavuot.

Here is an example from the Bible you need to understand and once you do then can decide what to do for yourself. It is upon this understanding that I set the date for myself of Shavuot.

Lev 25:20 And if you shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow nor gather in our increase!

Lev 25:21 Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

Lev 25:22 And you shall sow the eighth year, and eat of old fruit until the ninth year; until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old fruit.

The Barley was sown around Sukkot in the fall. It is harvested after Passover. In a Sabbatical year you could not harvest the barley in the Sabbatical Year. You would not be able to plant in the Sabbatical year in the fall. This then meant you would not have a barley crop the year after the Sabbatical year at Passover. This is now the 8th year. In the fall around Sukkkot in the 8th year, you could plant but would not be able to harvest until Passover in the 9th year.

What ever the crop or food you are desiring to plant or harvest, in what ever part of the world you you live in, you must plant and harvest according to the Sabbatical Year rules from Aviv to Aviv.

So each person must figure out when Strawberries are planted and harvested according to this understanding. When Potatoes are planted according to this understanding. Our society does not obey Yehovah. So each of us must read the labels and decide if this is kosher or not. To this day, I do not drink any wine harvested in the year 2016 or 2009 both Sabbatical years I have kept.

We all must obey. Do the best you can and pray Yehovah helps you to understand and to be able to obey.

If you want to use aquaponics or soilless planting then you must decide if this is kosher or not. I am not going to come up with an entire Targum or set of Tamudic do’s and don’ts. Read the rules or read Lev 25 and then you decide. You are called to be a King and Priest in the Kingdom of Yehovah. As a King and Preist you must uphold the Law of Yehovah and enforce it. As a King or Priest in the Kingdom, is what you are going to do, upholding those laws? Is what you are going to do pleasing to Yehovah? You must decide. I am not your judge.

Php 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Php 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Php 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings,

Php 2:15 so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world,

Php 2:16 holding forth the Word of Life, so that I may rejoice with you in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain.

Some are asking how to do you travel? When you go to someones home what do you do? YOU can assume that those people are obeying Yehovah and you eat. Or you can pull out your own food from your purse and eat it in front of them. Again I am not your judge. You must decide what to do.

Joshua crossed the Jordan in the 50th year.  He did not plant anything the year before or this year. And yet he ate everything they captured from the cities of the Caananites. They did not obey Yehovah. Joshua ate their food.

There is not commandment telling you you cannot eat. I have given you Joe Dumond rules above. They are not Yehovah’s rules. You must decide what you are going to do.

THE SABBATH 101

The Sabbath 101

I have been asked a number of times for the basics of keeping Torah. I have told those asking where to look but still more come and they are overwhelmed by the amount of articles, videos and books to go through. I never set out for it to be like that. But we have been posting a weekly newsletter since 2005. That is about 938 newsletters which have been viewed 9,701,688 times. We have written 8 books selling 5,439 copies as of this week. We have created about 552 videos, which have had 2,778,234 views as of today.

Just looking at these numbers tells me we are doing something right. And at the same time we continue to dive deeper into the things we are teaching. But for the new people it can be over whelming.

I had the great opportunity to visit Batman, Bat-woman and Alfred, and I even stayed in the Bat-cave. Batman has compiled a number of teachings that are geared for the new person and those just starting out in this walk. He also put together three of the books we now offer at Sightedmoon. I want to make all of these available for you to take advantage of, but you can’t tell Batman.

Here is the video section.

You can order one of two books. Scripture Lessons for the Kingdom & More Scripture Lessons for the Kingdom

Scripture Lessons for the Kingdom is exactly that, short lessons for those new to Torah. We have taken many of the lessons from the website and condensed them down into one to two-page lessons. While these do not cover everything, they will cover the basics and give you a good starting place for your journey into the Word of YHVH. We hope you enjoy this book and look forward to hearing back from you and your stories about this journey.

AND

We also have a third book about the covenant titled I Do. It is an e-book only format.

The servants of the groom are announcing the wedding, but will the bride prepare herself properly to say “I do”?  I do is a short book that both teaches and challenges one who has accepted the betrothal to the Lamb to do that which will prepare them for that great day when the groom arrives.

TORAH PORTIONS

Torah Portions

We read through the entire Torah along with the Prophets and the New Testament, once over the course of 3 1/2 years. Or according to the Sabbatical Cycle which means we read it all twice over a 7 year period. This allows us to cover more in-depth rather than being rushed to cover as much as is covered on an annual basis. We allow all to comment and take part in the discussions.

Septennial Torah Portion

If you go to Torah Portion at our archived section, you can then go to the 7th year which is the 7th year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every News Letter. There you can scroll down to the proper date, and see that this Shabbat we could very well be midrashing about:

Numbers 24

Amos 1-4

Lamentations 2

1 Corinthians 2-3

If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.

Spokesman Club Manual

At our most recent leadership meeting we discussed how it was going in relationship to letting others speak at sightedmoon.com on Shabbat.

We had a wide range of discussions on it. The whole meetings are now too long is the one complaint I am hearing. We still want to do the midrash and the Torah studies.

Some only want to come and have me teach. This puts a lot of pressure on me to prepare a sermon each and every week. My goal here at sightedmoon.com is teach people the torah and how the Jubilee Cycles along with the Holy days teach you the plan of salvation. Anotehr goal I have is to have people capable of teaching these things to others.

In order to do the second goal we must have a place for people to practice and fail at giving teachings. This is also why we allow and encourage midrashes. So people know how to argue in love about the many and various false teachings they are going to be presented. Iron sharpening Iron.

I have asked Shane Diltz to help me by looking after this aspect of sightedmoon.com. He organizes the speakers and makes sure their subject is kosher.

Many years ago while I was attending the WWCG, they had this program to teach you how to speak. After our meeting I went out and found it on line. I want to encourage you all to go through it and do each step in the speaking program. Practice on your spouse or on your dog or cat. But practice before you come to give your presentation to us. Practice.

You goal is to teach us the subject on your heart and to do so in 15 Minutes 20 Minutes TOPS. Going forward we will shut you down after so many minutes. We may give you a one minute warning. But we will shut you down. We want you to learn how to pack your presentation in small but powerful punches. We want you to learn. And we are going to allow you to so at sightedmoon.com.

Please do look over the manual. Prepare your subject according to one of the learning courses and practice. We look forward to your presentation and growth.

Many of the fonts do not transfer over well, so I will give you the link to the manual and you can read it on the original site. https://www.hwalibrary.com/cgi-bin/get/hwa.cgi?action=getacmanuals&InfoID=1397922400&page=&return=bklets

SABBATH MEETINGS

Sabbath Meetings

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teaches you and encourages you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable of explaining why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath services begin at 12:30 PM EDT where we will be doing prayers songs and teaching from this hour.

Shabbat Services will begin at about 1:15 pm Eastern.

On the Holy Day, Shavuot, we will be having two meetings. One at 10 AM Eastern and the afternoon will be 2 PM Eastern. Look forward to seeing you all there.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Joseph Dumond is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Clicks Per Mille

You Know It

And I Know It

Times Up!

Time is up, and it is time to do something different.

We have spent in the past, thousands on advertisements and had very few results.

We understand we are trying to tell people about the Bible. We also understand we are trying to explain the Jubilee Cycles and the curses for these last days—something they do not want to hear.

But over and over, our efforts in the Philippines have paid off. People want to learn, and we have men who can follow up and teach once we have left. But the fact that many want to learn is the key.

CPMs are the cost per mille or the cost per 1000 CTR. CTRs are the click-through rates. Those who see your ad and click through to your landing page. I am told that if I can keep my cost of CPMs to around $1-$3 per 1000, then I am doing good according to the industry standards.

Rather than spend a fortune on advertising with the money I do not have, I am going to do something different. I am about to break all the rules. I am going to do this for those who can’t afford to buy the books due to the high cost of shipping to the Philippines.

If you provide me with 30 emails of people you know who want to learn about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years, I will send you any soft cover book we have in our store for FREE.

But they cannot be on our list already. The email must come with their name, state, province and country. You can fill in this form. https://sightedmoon.org/philippines  and then write me to let me know the names you have added. Once you have sent in 30 names, I will let you choose any book you want from our store (Note, some books are only PDFs.)

Those names will then be added to our Newsletter list and will begin to get the newsletter. They can unsubscribe anytime and you can keep the book.

You can help us build up the many Filipinos who are interested in learning the Torah and the Jubilee Cycles. My cost will be about $1-$3 per email that you give me. And I am hoping you will send me the names of those you know who are interested. They win, you win and we all win.

We need to find new ways to share our message with the world. So if this is something you would like to do, then once you have 30 emails that are not already on my list then let me know you have signed them up and then I will ship you the softcover book right away. Send another 30 and we can send you another book after that. Sound fair?

We currently have 591 Filipinos on our list. I used to have 11,000 on Facebook but no emails, before they shut down our site. With your help, I want to grow our email list in the Philippines to over 12,000 in the next few months. But I can only do that with your help.

Empty Handed

Honouring Yehovah

Many of you have come to know and understand the Holy Days.

Exo 23:14 You shall keep a feast to Me three times in the year.

Exo 23:15 You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. You shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. And no one shall appear before Me empty.

Exo 23:16 Also the Feast of Harvest, the first-fruits of your labors, which you have sown in the field. Also the Feast of Ingathering, in the end of the year, when you have gathered in your labors out of the field.

Exo 23:17 Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord God.

You are now working on perfecting your walk and being an active member of the Royal Kingdom as a future King or Priest. But do we only give Yehovah lip service? We often wonder why things are so tough all the time. And yet we are commanded to do certain things so that we can be blessed.

Deu 16:10  And you shall keep the Feast of Weeks to Jehovah your God with a measure of a free-will offering of your hand, which you shall give according as Jehovah your God has blessed you.

Deu 16:11  And you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your slave girl, and the Levite inside your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, those among you, in the place which Jehovah your God has chosen to place His name there.

Deu 16:12  And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt. And you shall be careful to do these statutes.

The Feast of Booths

Deu 16:13  You shall keep the Feast of Tabernacles seven days after you have gathered in your grain floor and your wine press.

Deu 16:14  And you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male slave, and your slave-girl, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow inside your gates.

Deu 16:15  Seven days you shall keep a solemn feast to Jehovah your God in the place which Jehovah shall choose. Because Jehovah your God shall bless you in all your increase, and in all the works of your hands, therefore you shall surely rejoice.

Deu 16:16  Three times in a year shall all your males appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose: in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and in the Feast of Weeks, and in the Feast of Tabernacles. And they shall not appear before Jehovah empty,

Deu 16:17  but each with his gift in his hand, according to the blessing of Jehovah your God, which He has given you.

Each Holy Day you are commanded to appear before Yehovah and to do so with your first fruits in your hands. How many of you actually obey this commandment? How many of you stop reading those articles that talk about tithing and do not read them at all? You get to choose how much you are to bring. You are told to do so according to the blessings Yehovah has already given you.

And you are told to do so rejoicing.

Giving to Yehovah or those doing His work is a way of expressing our thanks to Yehovah, who allows us to make any income at all. All of us are to set aside tithes for His work and His Holy Days. When we return to Yehovah what is already His, He promises abundant blessings.

Pro 3:9 Honor Jehovah with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase;

Pro 3:10 and your barns shall be filled with plenty, and your presses shall burst with new wine.

Many want the blessings from Yehovah, but they do not understand it is a two-way street. You have obligations to do yourself.

The word “tithe” literally means “a tenth,”  10 percent of one’s increase. Tithes are to be given on an ongoing basis as one receives income.

Offerings are different from tithes. A tithe is a tenth of your increase but offerings vary in the amount to be given and are determined by the person presenting the offering. They are only done at each of the Holy Days.

Psa 96:8 Give to Jehovah the glory due to His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.

.Each crop was basically determined by Yehovah. You were to give back to His work a tenth part of what He had already given to you. Yehovah blessed you with that crop, He blessed you with that job, that source of income as already quoted in Deut 16:17

Lev 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Jehovah’s. It is holy to Jehovah.

Lev 27:31 And if a man will at all redeem anything of his tithes, he shall add to it the fifth part of it.

Lev 27:32 And all the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, all that passes under the rod, a tenth shall be holy to Jehovah

Lev 27:33 He shall not search whether it is good or bad, neither shall he change it. And if he changes it at all, then both it and the change of it shall be holy. It shall not be redeemed.

Lev 27:34 These are the commandments which Jehovah commanded Moses for the sons of Israel in Mount Sinai.

Week after week you wonder why Yehovah is not blessing you and you do not understand. Yet you continue to ask for the things you desire or need. Why does He not answer your prayers?

Hag 1:5 And now so says Jehovah of Hosts: Set your heart on your ways;

Hag 1:6 you have sown much and bring in little; you eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you are not filled with drink; you dress, but no one is warm; and he who hires out himself hires himself for a bag full of holes.

Hag 1:7 So says Jehovah of Hosts: Set your heart on your ways.

Hag 1:8 Go up the mountain and bring wood, and build this House; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says Jehovah.

Hag 1:9 You looked for much, and behold, little! And when you brought it home, then I blew on it. Why, says Jehovah of Hosts? Because of My House that is waste, and you, each man runs to his own house.

Hag 1:10 Therefore the heavens above you have held back the dew, and the earth is held back from her produce.

Hag 1:11 And I called for a drought in the land, and on the mountains, and on the grain, and on the new wine, and on the oil, and on that which the ground brings forth, and on men, and on cattle, and on all the labor of your hands.

How many of you have redeemed your firstborn? A lady insisted I take her five pieces of silver as a redemption price for her firstborn child. I did not want to do it. I did not feel I was qualified. I have since discovered our family name McGowan used to indicate they were from the Kohen or the High Priest. On another family line, I have learned that our family name Le Master was another name for the High Priest. Does this qualify me? No.

That lady mailed me those five silver pieces as her redemption for her child. She sent them to me because she did not know where else to send them and she sees us doing a real work in these last days. They are for the House of Yehovah. They are not used coins but brand-new ones.

Exo 34:19 All that opens the womb is Mine; and all your male livestock, a firstling of ox or sheep.

Exo 34:20 But the firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb. And if you do not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the first-born of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before Me empty.

Exo 34:21 You shall work six days, but on the seventh day you shall rest. In plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.

Exo 34:22 And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end.

Exo 34:23 Three times in the year your men shall appear before the Lord Jehovah, the God of Israel.

Exo 34:24 For I will cast out the nations before you and enlarge your borders. Neither shall any man desire your land when you shall go up to appear before Jehovah your God three times in the year.

Exo 34:25 You shall not slaughter the blood of My sacrifice with leaven. Neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.

Exo 34:26 The first of the first-fruits of your land you shall bring to the house of Jehovah your God. You shall not boil a kid in its mother’s milk.

You are commanded to bring an offering at each of the three Feasts. Passover, Shavuot and Sukkot. These are over and above the tithes you make. You do not know how Yehovah will bless you. But years from now you will look back and see that you were indeed blessed in ways you had not planned on.

Ecc 11:1 Cast your bread on the waters; for you shall find it after many days.

Ecc 11:2 Give a share to seven, and also to eight; for you know not what evil shall be on the earth.

Ecc 11:5 As you do not know what is the way of the spirit, as how the bones grow in the pregnant woman’s womb; even so you do not know the works of God who makes all.

Ecc 11:6 In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know what shall be blessed, either this or that, or whether they both shall be fruitful in the same way.

Are you helping to do this end-time work, or are you robbing Yehovah of His dues?

Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And Jehovah, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Mal 3:2 But who can endure the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fuller’s soap.

Mal 3:3 And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may be offerers of a food offering in righteousness to Jehovah.

Mal 3:4 Then the food offering of Judah and Jerusalem shall be pleasing to Jehovah, as in the days of old and as in former years.

Mal 3:5 And I will come near you to judgment. And I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who extort from the hired laborer’s wages, and turning away the widow, and the orphan, the alien, and not fearing Me, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Robbing God

Mal 3:6 For I am Jehovah, I change not. Because of this you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.

Mal 3:7 From the days of your fathers, you have turned aside from My statutes, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. But you say. In what way shall we return?

Mal 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, In what have we robbed You? In the tithe and the offering!

Mal 3:9 You are cursed with a curse; for you are robbing Me, the nation, all of it.

Mal 3:10 Bring all the tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. And test Me now with this, says Jehovah of Hosts, to see if I will not open the windows of Heaven for you, and pour out a blessing for you, until there is not enough room.

Mal 3:11 And I will rebuke your devourer, and he shall not decay the fruit of your ground against you; nor shall your vine miscarry against you in the field, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Mal 3:12 And all nations shall call you blessed; for you shall be a delightful land, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Mal 3:13 Your words have been strong against Me, says Jehovah. Yet you say, What have we spoken against You?

Mal 3:14 You have said, It is vain to serve God; and, What profit is it that we have kept His charge, and that we have walked as mourners before Jehovah of Hosts?

Mal 3:15 And now we are calling the arrogant blessed. Not only are the doers of wickedness built up, they also test God, and escape.

The Book of Remembrance

Mal 3:16 Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name.

Mal 3:17 And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him.

Mal 3:18 Then you shall again see the differencebetween the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God, and him who does not serve Him.

If you feel that the things you have learned here at sightedmoon.com, through our weekly Sabbath teachings on zoom, or our weekly Newsletters, or our many books, articles and videos are a blessing to your spiritual growth, then why not help us to reach others and support this work. The tithes were collected for the Levites to do the work. To teach the Torah to the people.

Num 18:21 And behold, I have given the sons of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

The Cheerful Giver

2Co 9:6 But I say this, He who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.

2Co 9:7 Each one, as he purposes in his heart, let him give; not of grief, or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that in everything, always having all self-sufficiency, you may abound to every good work;

2Co 9:9 As it is written, “He scattered; he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever.”

2Co 9:10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for eating, may He supply and multiply your seed, and increase the fruits of your righteousness

2Co 9:11 you being enriched in everything to all generosity, which works out thanksgiving to God through us.

2Co 9:12 For the ministry of this service not only supplies the things lacking of the saints, but also multiplying through many thanksgivings to God,

2Co 9:13 through the proof of this ministry they glorify God for your freely expressed submission to the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of the fellowship toward them and toward all,

2Co 9:14 and in their prayer for you, who long after you, because of the exceeding grace of God on you.

2Co 9:15 Thanks be to God for His unspeakable free gift.

When Judah came back from the captivity they determined to take care of the Levites who took care of the business of Yehovah.

Neh 10:31 And if the people of the land should bring goods or any food on the Sabbath day to sell it, that we would not buy it from them on the Sabbath or on the holy day, and that we would leave the seventh year, and the interest of every debt.

Neh 10:32 Also we put commands upon ourselves, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

Neh 10:33 for the showbread, and for the continual meal offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.

Neh 10:34 And we cast the lots among the priests, and the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring into the house of our God, according to the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of Jehovah our God, as it iswritten in the Law

Neh 10:35 and to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of Jehovah;

Neh 10:36 and to bring the first-born of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the Law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God;

Neh 10:37 and that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all kinds of trees, of wine and of oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, and they, the Levites, might have the tithes in all the cities we farmed.

Neh 10:38 And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes, and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house.

Neh 10:39 For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine, and the oil, to the rooms where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

Even though they said they would take care of the Levites, after a while, they stopped supporting them. Many of you do the same thing today. You are blessed to learn the Sabbatical and Jubilee Years. You make a $5 donation and move on to the next teacher hoping to glean new things from him, and then you keep on moving from one to the next. You do realize there are 354 days in a year? That the research and understanding comes from spending hours and months studying various books to learn what you took and left with.

Ephriam has few good teachers because they do not invest in supporting them and all the research they must do learning. Ephriam does not invest research and development into their teachers. Judah has done this the past 2000 years. They have sages to consult about most scriptures. We do not have these sages because we do not invest in them.

Many of you value the great understandings you have learned here. The Jubilee Cycle, the Daniel 9 revelation, the Abomination revelations, the Lev 26 understandings and much, much more. Yet, there are very few of you who have supported this work these past 18 years in which it took time and effort to study and learn and to be available for Yehovah to reveal them to us.

When the support stopped coming in for the Levites they still had to eat and ended up supporting themselves and not teaching the people. Nehemia rebuked the rulers for not supporting them.

Neh 13:10 And I saw that the portions of the Levites had not been given to them; for the Levites and the singers, who did the work, had fled each one to his field.

Neh 13:11 And I contended with the rulers and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together and set them in their place.

Neh 13:12 And all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil into the treasuries.

Neh 13:13 And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah. And next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah. For they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute to their brothers.

Neh 13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds which I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices of it.

Many people have said to us why don’t you do this and why don’t you do that. The simple reason is we can’t afford it. We can’t afford to hire the people who could make those things happen. In years past, one lady gave us the proceeds from her selling the firstborn calves of her herd. That year we could afford to pay for the videos to be made and edited in 2013. Another family gave us a tithe of the inheritance they just received. That made it possible for us to publish The 2300 Days of Hell, which we did through a publisher. This was before I knew about Amazon. Everything you want for free, costs a lot of money to research and produce in a way you can use it. Videos and books are not free. Considerable time and effort go into all of them on your behalf.

Right now, We are working to change all our funnels from an external source to one inside our website. It will save thousands of dollars each year and work much better. At the same time, we are streamlining all our accounting procedures into one automated process.  Everything we do here has to be relearned by James and myself. It takes weeks, months and years for us to figure some of these tech things out. There is a lot of time put into learning these things that are not seen by the public. And once it is seen, it is taken for granted. Too many people say it should always be free. No, there is a ton of work going on behind the scenes all the time, which has to be paid for by someone. The research and development of the 10 Days of Awe book, is going to stun many of you. It has taken two years to develop it into what is now the Elijah Trilogy.

If you are telling yourself you can’t afford to tithe, then you are lying to yourself. What you need to be saying is You can’t afford NOT to tithe! You can’t afford to no longer be blessed by Yehovah. Like Nehemia, determine in your mind what you are going to do and stick to it. If you are saying you are a ministry and do not need to tithe, then you need to understand that the Levites tithed to Aaron, as you just read in Neh 10:38.

Duties of Priests and Levites

Num 18:1  And Jehovah said to Aaron, You and your sons, and your father’s house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary. And you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

Num 18:2  And bring your brothers also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father with you, so that they may be joined to you and minister to you, you and your sons with you, before the tabernacle of witness.

Num 18:3  And they shall keep your charge and the charge of all the tabernacle. Only they shall not come near the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, so that neither they nor you also may die.

Num 18:4  And they shall be joined to you, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle. And a stranger shall not come near you.

Num 18:5  And you shall keep the charge of the sanctuary and the charge of the altar, so that there may be no wrath any more upon the sons of Israel.

Num 18:6  And I, behold, I have taken your brothers the Levites from among the sons of Israel. They are given to you as a gift by Jehovah, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 18:7  Therefore you and your sons with you shall keep your priests’ office for everything of the altar and inside the veil. And you shall serve. I have given your priest’s office as a service of gift. And the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

Num 18:8  And Jehovah spoke to Aaron, Behold, I have also given you the charge of My heave offerings of all the holy things of the sons of Israel. I have given them to you for the anointing, and to your sons, by an ordinance forever.

Num 18:9  This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire, every sacrifice of theirs, every food offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall give Me. These are most holy for you and for your sons.

Num 18:10  You shall eat it in the Holy of Holies. Every male shall eat it. It shall be holy to you.

Num 18:11  And this is yours, the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the sons of Israel. I have given them to you and to your sons and to your daughters with you, by a statute forever. Everyone that is clean in your house shall eat it.

Num 18:12  All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the first-fruits of them which they shall offer to Jehovah, I have given them to you.

Num 18:13  The first fruits of all that is in the land, which they shall bring to Jehovah, shall be yours. Everyone that is clean in your house shall eat of it.

Num 18:14  Everything devoted in Israel shall be yours.

Num 18:15  Everything that opens the womb in all flesh, which they bring to Jehovah, of men or animals, shall be yours. Nevertheless, the first-born of man you shall surely redeem, and the first-born of unclean animals you shall redeem.

Num 18:16  And those that are to be redeemed from a month old you shall redeem, according to your judgment for the silver of five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.

Num 18:17  But the first-born of a cow, or the first-born of a sheep, or the first-born of a goat, you shall not redeem. They are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shall burn their fat, an offering made by fire, for a sweet savor to Jehovah.

Num 18:18  And their flesh shall be yours, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are yours.

Num 18:19  All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the sons of Israel offer to Jehovah, I have given you and your sons and your daughters with you, by a law forever. It is a covenant of salt forever before Jehovah to you and to your seed with you.

Num 18:20  And Jehovah said to Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any part among them. I am your part and your inheritance among the sons of Israel.

Num 18:21  And behold, I have given the sons of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 18:22  Neither must the sons of Israel come near the tabernacle of the congregation from now on, lest they bear sin and die.

Num 18:23  But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity, a statute forever throughout your generations, that among the sons of Israel they have no inheritance.

Num 18:24  But the tithes of the sons of Israel, which they offer as a heave offering to Jehovah, I have given to the Levites to inherit. Therefore I have said to them, Among the sons of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

Num 18:25  And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

Num 18:26  And you shall speak to the Levites, and you shall say to them, When you take tithes from the sons of Israel, which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall offer up a heave offering of it for Jehovah, a tenth of the tithe.

Num 18:27  And your heave offering shall be credited to you as grain of the threshing-floor, and as the fullness of the winepress.

Num 18:28  So you also shall offer a heave offering to Jehovah of all your tithes which you receive from the sons of Israel. And you shall give from it Jehovah’s heave offering to Aaron the priest.

Num 18:29  Out of all your gifts you shall offer every heave offering of Jehovah, of all its fat, the holy part of it out of it.

Num 18:30  And you shall say to them, When you have lifted up its fat, then it shall be credited to the Levites as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the winepress.

Num 18:31  And you shall eat it in every place, you and your households. For it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 18:32  And you shall bear no sin because of it, when you have lifted up the fat of it. Neither shall you defile the holy things of the sons of Israel, lest you die.

Testimonial-Prayers Work

Our Testimony in the midst of storms, April 2023
Spring in Central Texas is our biggest storm season. Living in Austin, we’re generally on the tail
end of tornado threats, but the entire metro area is known as “flash flood alley” and our
personal history is filled with stories of damaging large hailstones that have broken windows,
pummeled shingles and gutters, and stripped trees of their leaves.
This spring, the weather has played a supporting role in our life, as we continue to work on
settling two estates and healing family relationships following the death of both of Scott’s
parents in last 2021. Life has been unsettled enough, without adding storm damage to our list.
But that hasn’t stopped the storms from forming. In the last 10 days of April, in rapid
succession, three storms have headed east, from the Texas Hill Country toward our home.
As the first of those storms came toward Austin, Scott prayed that Yehovah would protect us,
that He would part the storm clouds over our home. And that’s exactly what happened! On the
meteorologist’s radar broadcast, we watched as the diagonal line of heavy rain broke. One
section skirted north of us, producing flooding just blocks from our home; the other section
drifted south of us. A couple days later, a similar situation developed. Once again Scott prayed,
and once again our Father parted the storm around us, giving us rain without damage.
Last Friday, we needed to deliver a couple of computers that Scott’s sister wanted to pick up on
Sunday, while we were observing Shavuot. We had known early in the week that yet another
storm was forecast to arrive Friday evening after sundown; we made plans to pick up the
computers and make our delivery by mid-afternoon, and finish our preparations for the
Sabbath and Shavuot. All would be well!
But by Friday morning, weather reports indicated the storm track was accelerating. Now, it was
expected in Austin around rush hour. Then, the computer repairman called; he was running
late! He wasn’t ready to meet with Scott and finalize data transfer until late afternoon, leaving
me to monitor the developing situation. I wish I could say that I confidently remembered
Yehovah’s very recent blessings in our life—but I panicked. Preparing for the worst-case
scenario, I even messaged Sombra about which would be worse, delivering the computers on
the Sabbath or on Shavuot. Instead of heading from the computer repair place straight to the
delivery spot, Scott came home to discuss the best course of action—and he prayed, once
again, for Yehovah to part the clouds. The storm was headed right for us, about 4:30pm, and
egg-size hail was being reported about four miles from our house.
But then, the entire storm shifted course, lifting north of us. And the acceleration that brought
it to Austin earlier than originally forecast also caused it to clear the metro area a couple hours
before sunset. We were able to make the delivery and return home shortly before the Sabbath.
In His mercy, Abba allowed us to fulfill a critical commitment. He spared us, once again, from
any damage. And He prepared us to honor His set-apart times, with shalom.

In the morning prayers that we’ve been praying, the prayer of Thanksgiving includes this:
“Every day Your miracles are with us, Your wonders and favors are at all time—evening,
morning and afternoon.” We see those miracles, and we are grateful for His lovingkindness.
