The Four Horsemen & 19 Proofs of the Sabbatical years

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,
After I sent out last week’s Newsletter, the ante in Israel was raised once more with rockets being fired into Israel from Lebanon. The effort is being made by Iran to cause Israel to have a possible two front war and be forced to split the reserves brought up to invade Gaza. I also heard that shots were sent over the Golan but I have confirmed this. As I go to post this, Israel has now sent in the IDF into Gaza. PLease take a moment and pray for these young men and women. Ask Yehovah to protect them and bring them all back safely having accomplished the mission they must do. I know a number of those who will have been called up so please pray for them.

I want to share what Nehemiah Gordon has shared on his website about his family in Israel. I have met these people and I ask you all to pray for them and the rest of the country.

My mother was way too close to a falling rocket from Gaza yesterday as she drove home from a suburb of Jerusalem. My oldest sister, whose five kids were all born in Israel, shared her experiences from the latest terror war on Israeli civilians:

Normal life in a war zone: After explaining to everyone that there is no way a rocket from Gaza could reach our area (because there is an 800 M high mountain (Jerusalem) between us and Gaza, which is at sea level) a rocket landed ~5 KM from my home yesterday evening. My 7 year old son Ehud was playing outside when the air-raid siren went off. He told me “I did just what they taught us to do in school: I lay down on the ground and put my arms over my head. Then I heard a big boom. When the siren went off, I went back to the game.” My mother had just left my house to drive home when the siren went off, so she was only 2 KM away from the strike site. She is disabled and cannot get out of her car easily so she was in the car when the rocket hit. She told me that she saw the rocket and her car shook like a leaf when it hit.

Earlier in the week, my daughters Noa and Rachel were at Scout Camp near Bet Shemesh when a rocket landed in that area. They heard the siren and lay on the forest floor hoping for the best. The Scouts had to evacuate 2,500 kids from the campsite at night. Just to make it clear, in Israel there are almost no adults in Scout Camp, it is run totally by the teenagers. They did an excellent job and my kids even came home with most of their stuff.

I just turned on a clip on the computer about an air raid siren that went off during a wedding. Noa heard the siren and started screaming – quick, let’s get into the safe room. I had to calm her down. My only real worry is my son Nitai, who is in the army. I think he was deployed to the border with Gaza, but he is not allowed to tell us.
Shabbat shalom,
Ariela

Also last week ICEJ bought two bomb shelters and had them delivered to Kfar Aza along the Gaza border, which has been repeatedly targeted by Hamas rocket attacks over recent days. About 100 of the rockets launched by Hamas have landed on their own people never getting out of Gaza.
And one more letter from my friend Avi ben Mordechai in Israel.

Scripture remains as clear as the noonday sunlight; that what we sow, we shall reap. For example, in the days of Yeshayahu (Isaiah), the Prophet Hosea said this as recorded in Hosea 10:12 –

Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek Yehovah, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.

In the days of Iyov (Job), 4:8, these words were written down and given to us:

Even as I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.

During the Second-Temple Period, in the days of Sha’ul, while writing a letter to the Galatians, he so aptly composed these clear words as recorded in Galatians 6:7:

Do not be deceived, Elohim is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

InSefer Mishlei (Proverbs) 22:8, the measure for measure principle is again presented with these words:

He who sows iniquity will reap sorrow, and the rod of his anger will fail.

This Hebraic concept that we learn here from Scripture is called Middah K’neged Middah or simply, MEASURE FOR MEASURE.  Yeshua was no stranger to this idea. He taught about it when he spoke the following as recorded in Matthew 7:1

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Indeed, what we sow, we shall reap. It is part of the teaching of the HOLY, ETERNAL TORAH. Consider the words of Ya’acov (James), Brother of Yeshua who said this in 5:7 –

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of Yehovah. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the land, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

This principle is not only at work in the Spiritual world; it also is at work in the Physical world.  In marriage, when a man and a woman come together to produce a child, the male gives to the female a microscopic seed. She in turn takes that seed and in partnership with Yehovah, the seed is grown to its full potential while in the womb, hopefully producing from a microscopic seed, a full-term baby, some forty weeks later!
Based on the established rules of Divine Law (Torah) it is once again, Measure for Measure or Middah K’neged Middah.

So, what does all this have to do with what is going on today, in Eretz Israel? After all, at the writing of this article, we in the physical Land of Israel are getting bombarded with hundreds of deadly rockets from those whose public mission is to maim, kill, and destroy the Jews, to push them into the sea at whatever cost, and to “establish” a so-called “Palestinian State.” Yes, many hundreds of rockets have been steadily raining down on the South and west central parts of Israel (at this point), being launched from the Gaza Strip. Our nation is once again in the grips of a war with our enemies; a war that seems to have no end in sight.  Multitudes of thousands of young men and women in the IDF (the Israel Defense Forces) are poised at the command of the military leaders of our national Israeli government to once again fight the “terrorist” enemy and protect our tiny country in what is being called “Operation Protective Edge.” Our Land once again is fighting for survival. Amazingly, I have noticed however, that the people of Israel are generally in solidarity! Communal prayers are being prayed in Synagogues and Houses of Torah Study. We have indeed come together as a people with a common goal and yet, we are a nation in distress, calling out to the All Eternal One of Israel for Divine favor and protection for ourselves, our sons, our daughters, our families. We are individually and collectively asking the God of Israel to hear our words and He is asking us, “Will you hear My Words”?

As a Jew and an Israeli, I do not like this horrible situation anymore than the next Jew down the street. It is distressing for all of us.
For those of you that can remember, I lost my son – Yonatan Benyamin “Yoni” at the young tender age of 24 years old. He was an IDF soldier and commander in an IDF elite unit of the Paratroopers – 101 (Tzanchanim). My son fought in two wars for this country of Israel. In 2005, he was ordered to fight against 10,000 of his fellow Jews in Gaza, when then Prime Minister Ariel Sharon ordered all the Jewish families in the area to evacuate their homes in Gaza so that Israel could be “kind enough” to give the Land over to our sworn enemies, who are now raining down rockets on us in a deadly game of terror. Yonatan followed military government orders and did his job to forcibly remove thousands of Jews from their homes. Then, in July of 2006, Yonathan was called up again with his unit to fight against our sworn enemies hunkered down in Lebanon. He faithfully went out to war, to just beyond the Lebanese border with many of our other our sons and daughters in the IDF. He had to do and see and experience the ravages of bombs and blood that no young man should ever have to see and do at his tender age. In serving a country that was his as a Jew, Yonatan, my only son, gave up his life and became another casualty of Israel’s many fallen soldiers.  But, to what end, I ask? To what end?

Let’s come back to the principle of Middah K’neged Middah – Measure for Measure. Again, as Sha’ul said in Galatians 6:7 –
Do not be deceived, Elohim is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Psalm Seven (7) gives us an answer that we need to pay attention to. It says in verses 3 through 5 –

O Yehovah my Elohim, if I have done this: If there is injustice (dishonesty – Hebrew – Aval) in my hands, if I have repaid evil to him who was at peace with me, or have plundered my enemy without cause, let the enemy pursue me and overtake me; Yes, let him trample my life to the earth, and lay my honor in the dust.

Has our Israeli government – the Jews; that is our government leaders and even the common people of this Land – have we individually and collectively launched our own barrage of rockets of injustice and dishonesty against non-Jews, perhaps like you, who want to obey the Torah of all Israel and join in spiritual and physical solidarity with Brother Judah? Have we launched our own rockets of baseless hatred even against fellow Jews that reside within this Land, treating each other as trash, as rubbish? Have we been raining down rejection and disdain and dishonesty on those amongst Ephraim and all Israel scattered among the nations? Individuals and families that would strongly desire to come here to visit Eretz Israel, have also tried to live here and help settle this Land along with Brother Judah. Have we Jews in our religious and political institutions been guilty of treating Ephraim and yes, even each other here in this Land of Israel with contempt, glorifying a “We are Jews” culture and maintaining a “Me First” mentality within our everyday lives? Have we been guilty of dishing out to Jews and non-Jews alike, dishonest weights and measures? This list could go on and on for pages but I will spare you. Those of you that have been here to visit this Land, and even have desired to live here, you know what I am saying is true. You are generally treated with disrespect and there is nothing that is done for you. And even for me, a Jew, I experience this every day – a culture that seems to glorify Jewish arrogance – religious or political. It matters not.

As a Jew, I apologize to you for the way that my fellow Jews treat you. They say, “Bring your money” but DO NOT overstay your welcome! And especially to those of you that would strongly desire to live here, to walk in the pure and wonderful Torah of all Israel, but are forced by government regulations and unjust laws to jump though all kinds of hoops to get “permission” to stay for more than three months. I am sorry for the way Brother Judah treats you. I am ashamed! Please, forgive us.

For us it shall beMiddah K’neged Middah – Measure for Measure.
Let the Eternal Truth of the Torah of ALL ISRAEL be established. Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. And thus, the words of Psalm Seven are coming in loud and clear:

Let the enemy pursue me and overtake me; Yes, let him trample my life to the earth, and lay my honor in the dust. (Psalm 7:5, English)

Psalm Seven draws a conclusion in these words, once again showing us the principle of Middah K’neged Middah – Measure for Measure:

Behold, he brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it out, and has fallen into the ditch he made.

Indeed, the one who has repaid evil; the one who has dished out injustice and dishonesty; the one who has plundered his enemy; this is the one that the words of Psalm Seven shall be fulfilled:

His trouble shall return upon his own head and his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.

Make no mistake about it. The rockets of Hamas, the terrorists of Hezbollah, the fierce amongst the Palestinian Arabs are all instruments in the Hands of Yehovah to discipline our nation, our people, our country, our leaders, even our common hard-working Israelis  – all of us that are named as B’ne Israel (the people of Israel); that we should take heed to what is in our hearts and remember that what we sow into the lives of others, we shall in due time, reap what we have sown. However, Yehovah’s mercy endures forever and even despite all of this, Yehovah remains faithful to us and shows us great mercy over and over again as it is written in the righteous prayer of Nehemiah 9:13-38, but particularly what is written in Nehemiah 9:30-31.
Let the political and religious leaders of Israel recognize that WE are the ones bringing all this distress upon our own heads. This is our doing or perhaps our undoing! For Scripture remains true many, many times in the biblical texts, when it teaches us the principle of Exodus 23:9 –

Also you shall not oppress a stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger, because you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Thus again, I state for the record, Middah K’neged Middah!
If we want the rockets to stop; if we want shalom in Israel; if we want our sworn enemies to go away and stop regularly pounding on us; if we want Mashiach to come and be our King, we absolutely must walk in and according to Yehovah’s Eternal, Established Kingdom Law and not contrary to it. To walk contrary the Torah, we shall continue to reap what we sow.

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does Yehovah require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

There are two things I want to point out to you so you can keep them in mind as you continue to watch these events on the nightly news and read about them in your bible.

The first is the four horsemen of Revelation.

Rev 6:2  And I saw. And behold a white horse! And he sitting on it had a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering and to conquer.

The white horse is not the Messiah, as some religions suppose. No, the white horse is false religion. It is Islam and it is also Christianity. Both have past and present history to show how they forced those they subdued to accept the conquering religion. But I also want to point out the bow. Yehshua is always depicted with a two edged sword coming out of His mouth, indicating the word of Torah cutting like a two edged sword. The bow on the other hand is represented of the Hunters who are now coming.

Gen 16:11  and the messenger of Jehovah saith to her, `Behold thou art conceiving, and bearing a son, and hast called his name Ishmael, for Jehovah hath hearkened unto thine affliction; 12  and he is a wild-ass man, his hand against every one, and every one’s hand against him–and before the face of all his brethren he dwelleth.’
Gen 21:17  And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. 18  Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. 19  And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. 20  And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

Here we can see that Ishmael is a an archer. And as we read further in Genesis we learn that Esau was also a skilled hunter with the bow.

Gen 25:27  And the boys grew. And Esau was a man knowing hunting, and Jacob was a simple man, living in tents.
Gen 27:1  And it happened when Isaac was old and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called his oldest son Esau and said to him, My son. And he said to him, Behold, I am here. 2  And he said to him, Behold, here am I. And he said, Behold now, I am old, I do not know the day of my death. 3  And now please take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me. 4  And make tasty meat for me, such as I love, and bring to me so that I may eat, that my soul may bless you before I die.

We read how Isaac was tricked into blessing Jacob, but Isaac had another blessing for Esau.

Gen 27:32  And his father Isaac said to him, Who are you? And he said, I am your son, your first-born, Esau. 33  And Isaac trembled with a great trembling, and said, Who then was the one who has hunted deer and brought to me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yea, he shall be blessed! 34  And when Esau heard the voice of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said to his father, Bless me, me also, O my father! 35  And he said, Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing. 36  And he said, It is because his name is called Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing. And he said, Have you not reserved a blessing for me? 37  And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold! I have made him your lord, and all his brothers I have given him for servants. And with grain and wine I have supported him. And what shall I do now to you, my son? 38  And Esau said to his father, Have you but one blessing, my father? Bless me, me also, my father. And Esau lifted up his voice and wept. 39  And Isaac his father answered and said to him, Behold! Your dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth and of the dew of heaven from above. 40  And by your sword you shall live, and shall serve your brother. And it shall be when you shall have the dominion, you shall break his yoke from off your neck. 41  And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then I will kill my brother Jacob.

Pay close attention to the words in verse 40.

40  And by your sword you shall live, and shall serve your brother. And it shall be when you shall have the dominion, you shall break his yoke from off your neck.
H7300     ????     ru?d     rood
A primitive root; to tramp about, that is, ramble (free or disconsolate): – have the dominion, be lord, mourn, rule.

Now I have an assignment for you all. Before you read any further, go and watch the teaching on Assyria because I am not going to explain all of this again here. As you watch the video, make note of the word dominion, or trample. And consider these things in light of what I explain in the video about Assyria. Ishmael and Esau are the hunters. Islam is the religion that is going to conquer. Why, you may ask?
Because Israel, all 13 tribes, would not heed the voice of those Yehovah sent to lure Israel back to the Torah.

Jer 16:14 So, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that it shall no more be said, As Jehovah lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 15but, As Jehovah lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands where He had driven them. And I will bring them again into their lands that I gave to their fathers. 16Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says Jehovah, and they will fish them. And afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. 17For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes. 18And first I will twice repay their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land, they have filled My inheritance with the dead bodies of their abominable things.

Yehovah is now preparing the hunters who are in the process of throwing off the yoke of Jacob, and are now about to go hunt all 13 tribes of Israel and kill 90% of them. It is now time to keep the Sabbath, the Holy Days of Lev 23 and not add any others to them. And you must keep the Sabbatical year in 2016 if you want any hope of being protected from all that is about to come.
The second horseman is the red horse.

Rev 6:3  And when He had opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, Come and see. 4  And another, a red horse, went out. And power was given to him sitting on it, to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. And there was given to him a great sword.

We have been warning you now for years that the 4th curse of Lev 26 is the curse of the sword.

Lev 26:25  And I will bring a sword on you that shall execute the vengeance of the covenant. And when you are gathered inside your cities, I will send the plague among you. And you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. 26  When I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight. And you shall eat and not be satisfied.

This 4th Sabbatical cycle is when this 4th curse is to come. And if that scares you enough to begin to obey, then awesome. I have been accused of fear mongering by hypocritical leaders. It is Yehovah who is going to scare the tar out of all of those who will not obey. Are you one of those stubborn and rebellious ones who refuse to keep the Sabbath, and Holy Days of Lev 23 and the Sabbatical year?
War is coming and it racing to get to you.
The 3rd horse of Revelation 6 is the black one.

Rev 6:5  And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come and see. And I looked, and lo, a black horse. And he sitting on it had a balance in his hand. 6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say, A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenixes of barley for a denarius. And do not hurt the oil and the wine.

Have you connected the dots yet? This third horse comes after, and during, and because of this war. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE RAPTURED OUT OF HERE!!!!
Because you do not keep the commandments, because you will not keep the 7th Day Sabbath or the Holy Days of Lev 23 according to the sighted moon to begin the month and the barley being aviv to begin the year, and because you will not keep the Sabbatical year the next one is in 2016 – because you will not do this, you will eat your own flesh and be starving continuously.

Lev 26:26  When I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight. And you shall eat and not be satisfied. 27  And if you will not for all of this listen to Me, but will walk contrary to Me, 28  then I will walk contrary to you also in fury. And I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29  And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters you shall eat.

The 4th horse is the pale one and it represents death. One quarter of the earth’s population is going to die by sword and famine and be eaten by animals.

Rev 6:7 And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him sitting on it was Death, and Hell followed with him. And authority was given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword and with hunger and with death and by the beasts of the earth.

I want you all to once again notice those of the 5th seal here. These are those saints

9 And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Until when, Master, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given to each one of them. And it was said to them that they should rest yet for a little time, until both their fellow servants and their brothers (those about to be killed, as they were ) should have their number made complete. 12 And when He had opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.

That word slain in verse 9 is butchered and slaughtered;

G4969    ??????    sphazo?    sfad’-zo
A primary verb; to butcher (especially an animal for food or in sacrifice) or (generally) to slaughter, or (specifically) to maim (violently): – kill, slay, wound.

Understand what is going on here, brethren. Those of you who will not obey are going to be slaughtered and butchered and have your heads cut off. Tell me what group of people do that today. You can see them on the nightly news.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor his image, nor had received his mark on their foreheads, nor in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years.

This is a protest of Israel by Palestinians, not in Gaza, but in downtown Chicago on July 5. Take note of the colours of the flag.

The same colours of the four horsemen. The white Horse, the red horse, the black horse and the pale horse. Do you not hear Yehovah screaming at you? Those who will slaughter you are already here and you have no idea how bad it is going to be. Islam is the third largest faith in North America.

I have a question for you.
Are you ready to watch the Genocide of all those in Gaza?

Zep 2:1  Gather yourselves together; yea, gather, O nation not desired; 2  before the birth of the decree, the day shall pass like the chaff; yet not before the hot anger of Jehovah comes on you, yet not before the day of Jehovah’s anger comes on you. 3  Seek Jehovah, all the meek of the earth who have done His justice; seek righteousness; seek meekness. It may be you shall be hidden in the day of Jehovah’s anger. 4  For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a ruin. They shall drive out Ashdod at the noonday, and Ekron shall be rooted up. 5  Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! The Word of Jehovah is against you: Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will destroy you, so that no inhabitant survives. 6  And the sea coast will be pastures, meadows of shepherds, and folds for flocks. 7  And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed on them. In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down in the evening, for Jehovah their God shall visit them and turn away their captivity.
Isa 14:29  Rejoice not, O Philistia, all of you, that the rod of your striking is broken. For a viper comes forth from the root of a snake, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. 30  And the first-born of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety; and I will kill your root with famine, and he shall slay your remnant. 31  Howl, O gate! Cry, O city! O Philistia, all of you, are melted away; for from the north a smoke comes, and no straggler in his ranks. 32  What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah has founded Zion, and the poor of His people shall trust in it.

The 6th seal of Revelation 6 is about the moon being turned to blood and the sun going into eclipse. .

12 And when He had opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.

For those who are joining us in Columbus, Ohio on August 2-3 2014, I will be explaining the 6 Lunar Eclipses and the 4 Solar Eclipses that are going to occur from Passover & Sukkot, 2014, 2015 and 2016 during the Sabbatical year. If you want to know about it, you have to come to Columbus. We do not have this recorded yet to share with you. You must register so we can get the appropriate room. For directions to the hall please contact
A number of the brethren in Columbus area are being kicked out the Churches of God because of this meeting. Why are they trying to control your every thought. I encourage those of you too afraid of being put out to man up and take a stand. Come and hear what I have to say. If it is false then you will be able to see it. If it truth then you will have to share it. Again if they put you all out then no one will pay them their tithes.

Psa 119:18  Open my eyes, so that I may behold wonderful things out of Your Law.

Father Yehovah, open up the eyes of your people to see the truths You have revealed about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years, the facts that are so obvious. Help them to see these truths.

Proofs of the Sabbatical Years

At Sukkot in 2013, I was shown two new artifacts proving once again when the Sabbatical years are. These two artifacts, which are new to me, confirmed our already historically recorded dates.
You can read of the them all at Tombstones of Hannah and Hasadiah the Priest
When I first began to understand the Sabbatical years, we had just 12 historically recorded years to prove when the Sabbatical and Jubilee years are. With these two new artifacts shown to me last fall, we now have a total of 14 dates that all line up with each other and prove when the Sabbatical years are.
On June 30th, 2014, Nehemiah Gordon posted an audio teaching on his facebook page titled Tammuz and the Lunar Sabbath. At the 31 minute mark Nehemiah begins to speak on the Shemitah Cycle or Sabbatical years and in that discourse mentions the Dead Sea Tombstones of Zoar.
Nehemiah then begins to quote a source I had not heard of before which mentions they have over 16 tombstones from Zoar. He also quotes this source, which says that the dating on the stones prevents one from knowing when the Sabbatical years are. There are 16 tombstones which have these dual dates on them, and a 17th tombstone from Lebanon. Three of them are damaged so we can’t read them. In the list that is published, #3 is the one pictured on Nehemiah’s page.

This person died on the 3rd day of the week, on the 6th day of the 11th month in the Shemitah Year. This is the year 435 from the destruction of the Temple.

In Nehemiah’s audio, he then goes on to say that we do not know when the Sabbatical year was because we do not know in which year the Temple was destroyed. Some people say 68 C.E., others 69 C.E. and still more 70 C.E. My friend Nehemiah is right and that is why we did the Newsletter last week showing the facts that the Zealots of Judah and Idumaeans had crops in the ground and were harvesting them in the years 68 C.E. and 69 C.E., which only leaves year 70 C.E. as the Sabbatical year when the Temple was destroyed.

We have considered the years 68 C.E. and 69 C.E. in our extensive research on this subject. We have shown you how this confusion began with the fudging of the history by Rabbi Yose to aid Rabbi Akiva in proving that Simon bar Kochbah was the Messiah. Again we have explained this in our book Remembering the Sabbatical year of 2016, in chapter 22 of this book. The Jewish sages knew after Simon was killed that he was not the long awaited Messiah and dismissed him as such, but….they continued to use Rabbi Yose’s misleading information and continue to do so to this day.

Now when people look up the Sabbatical years, they go to Jewish sources because they assume Jewish sources must know about it. Jewish sources do a simple math to determine the Sabbatical year. They take the current Jewish year, which at Rosh Hashanah will be 5775 in our year 2014 and then they divide it by 7. If the number is a whole number with no fractions then it is a Sabbatical year. So 5775 this fall divided by 7 is 825, and that is their proof. They toss out all of history when they do this.

I have had other leaders whose research into this subject consists of them calling two Rabbi’s and asking them when the Sabbatical years are. They do the math as I have just said, and then say it is from Rosh Hashanah to Rosh Hashanah 2014-2015, and that is the end of their research. These are your messianic leaders. They then come to you as an authority on this subject and say to you that it does not matter, and that you only have to keep it when you are in the land of Israel. They are full of hypocrisy and expect you to just follow them as they lead you away from obeying Yehovah.

Getting back to the Tombstone we mentioned above you add 435 to 70 when the Temple was destroyed for a total of 505 years. When I check my Sabbatical year charts I see that the year 505 was not a Sabbatical year, but was the 1st year of the next Cycle. So what is up with this? The 11th month is actually 2 months before the Aviv in the next year at the end of the Sabbatical cycle.  When you add 435 Years to the year 70, you get the year 505 C.E. The Sabbatical year went from Aviv 504 to Aviv 505. The 11th month, which in our reckoning today, is the month of January-February 505 C.E. So this tombstone confirms our records. You need to be aware of the months and how our current years begin at January 1.
This then is our 20th proof.

I wrote Nehemiah and asked for the source which he quickly sent to me. I then sent it to my friend Chad who began to search the dates. He wrote the following.

Today I had a friend (Joseph Dumond) email me a website that contained articles concerning the 26 Tombstones that were excavated at Zoar, an area located on the southern side of the Dead Sea. Of the 26 Tombstones that were found – 24 are written in Aramaic and the one that I read up on is the only one that is bilingual – Greek and Aramaic. The article was taken from a book (online) titled “A Bilingual Tombstone from Zo’ar (Arabia) (Hecht Museum, Haifa, Inv. No. H-3029, Naveh’s List No. 18)” by Hannah M. Cotton and Jonathan J. Price. pp. 277 – 283 and can be found through this link:   http://www.jstor.org/stable/20190821    OR this link   http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/20190821?uid=3739776&uid=2134&uid=2482786383&uid=2&uid=70&uid=3&uid=2482786373&uid=3739256&uid=60&sid=21104402442603
I was extremely happy to find this because I had trouble finding any information on these tombstones, let alone they be translated into English.
There are no pictures of this tombstone within the article, only a description. The authors have written that the tombstone contains two texts – 5 lines of Greek followed by 4 lines of Aramaic. The tombstone is decorated with red menorahs with nothing on the backside of the stone. Some of the Greek text is hard to read. The authors reproduced J. Naveh’s text and translation of the Aramaic which says: “This is the grave of Mousis (Moshe) son of Marsa who died in year three of the Sabbatical cycle, in the month of Kislev, on the twenty seventh day of it, which is the year 290 after the destruction of the Temple.” (Emphasis mine)

The authors of the article reconstructed the translation of the Greek text and according to the Greek text this man died in the year 253 (of the province of Arabia). They write: “The most intriguing feature of this as well as of the other tombstones from Zo’ar is the presence of several systems of dating in the same monument. In the Aramaic tombstones there are generally two, but in our bilingual inscription there are three such systems. ONE IS REMINDED IMMEDIATELY OF THE THREE SYSTEMS OF DATING IN ARAMAIC, NABATEAN AND GREEK papyri written by Jews from Mahoza (Mahoz ‘Eglatain), a village in the district of Zo’ar, in the first half of the second century CE: the emperor’s regnal year, the Roman consular year and the era of the province Arabia.” (Emphasis mine)

So with the conflict of dates, there were different ways of reckoning time: The authors write: “The 27 of Kislev, the day and month given in the Aramaic text on our tombstone, of the year 253 of the era of the province of Arabia is most likely to have fallen in December OF THE JULIAN YEAR 358 – or, if the end of the month of Kislev fell quite late that year, in early January 359….However, two other systems of reckoning are used in the Aramaic part of the inscription: the era from the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem, and the year in the seven-year sabbatical cycle. The destruction of the second Temple is known to have taken place on 9 Ab (July/August) of the year 70 CE.”

Unfortunately, these two scholars have overlooked a critical point. The renewed Hebrew year begins on Aviv 1, not according to Rabbinic Judaism’s date of Tishri 1 and they are using the modern Rabbinic dating rather than the Biblical reckoning of time. They are also using Zion Walcholder’s tables and calendar of Sabbatical Cycles that has been proven to be in error by the authors of ‘The Sabbath and Jubilee Cycle’ Qadesh La Yahweh Press. PDF book can be found here: http://www.yahweh.org/publications/sjc/sabjub.pdf

One thing that is encouraging, the majority of the 26 tombstones fits an era of the destruction of the Temple which starts on 9 Ab 70 CE – NOT 69 CE. Based on the many findings and confirming evidence of Sabbatical years found outside of the Bible (162 BCE, 134 BCE, 43 BCE, 36 BCE, 22 BCE, 42 CE, 56 CE, 70 CE, 133 CE, and 140 CE) these other Tombstone inscriptions of 439 CE (5th year of Shmittah) and 515 CE (4th year of Shmittah) and now 360 CE (3rd year of Shmittah – 290 years + destruction of the Temple in 70 CE = 360 CE) show that indeed the Shmittah was being kept continually and accurately well into the 6th century. If we plot these numbers, along with other documented dates (701 BCE, 456 BCE) we can see that the last Shmittah occurred in 2009 and the next Shmittah will be starting in Aviv 1, 2016.
Shalom,
Chad

I am so excited to share what we have found. I am so grateful to Nehemiah Gordon for sharing this info with us. Nehemiah is trying to do his due diligence and not rely on other peoples opinions as many of the Messianic leadership are doing. So, I applaud Nehemiah and thank him, even though he has not found conclusive evidence to suit his parameters.
Let me now give you each and every Sabbatical and Jubilee year we know of and the sources of this information, so that you may also look them up and research this. We are going to go from the oldest known date to the newest known ones.

13)Tombstone Year 3 of the Sabbatical year 357 CE

“This is the grave of Mousis (Moshe) son of Marsa who died in year three of the Sabbatical cycle, in the month of Kislev, on the twenty seventh day of it, which is the year 290 after the destruction of the Temple.”

Year 3 is indeed the year 360 C.E., which is the 3rd year after the Sabbatical year of 357 C.E.
290 Years  + 70 Years when the Temple was destroyed = 360  http://www.jstor.org/stable/20190821

14)Tombstone Year 3 after the Sabbatical 413 CE
This is the tombstone of Esther the daughter of Adayo, who died in the month of Shebat of the 3rd year of the Sabbatical cycle, the year three hundred 46 years after the destruction of the Temple. Peace. Peace. Upon her.

346 years after the Destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E. is 416 CE. and once again on our charts this is indeed the 3rd year of the Sabbatical cycle.

15)Tombstone Year of the Sabbatical 434 CE
May rest the soul of Saul the son of …, who died on the first day of the month Marheshwan
of the first year of the Sabbatical cycle, the year three hundred sixty four after the destruction of the Temple. Peace!

This is another tombstone dated from the Dead Sea but this one is problematic. When you add up the years you get a total of 434 years. But 434 is the Sabbatical year, not the year after or the first year as the tombstone states. The problem is easily resolved when you understand that the month of Maheshwan is the 8th month. If they began their year in the 7th month then this will change the counting by one (actually 6 months).
Understanding that this is the 8th month and the year is not yet over until Aviv but it is according to Rosh Hashanah, then he actually died in the

Sabbatical year 364 years after the Temple fell.

Marcheshvan (Hebrew: ????????????, Standard Mar?ešvan Tiberian Mar?ešw?n; from Akkadian wara?samnu, literally “eighth month”), sometimes shortened to Cheshvan (Hebrew: ????????, Standard ?ešvan Tiberian ?ešw?n), is the second month of the civil year (which starts on 1 Tishrei) and the eighth month of the ecclesiastical year(which starts on 1 Nisan) on the Hebrew calendar.
It was only after the Mishnah was written that this confusion over the start of the year begins to be seen. In the Torah, the beginning of the year was clearly set at 1 Nisan, in the context of a description of the first Passover.

“The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt: This month shall mark for you the beginning of the months; it shall be the first of the months of the year for you” (Exodus 12:1-2).

Yet by the period of the Mishnah at the beginning of the second century, the outlines of today’s Rosh Hashanah holiday are clear, and discussions about the prayers of Rosh Hashanah appear as early as the teachings of the schools of Hillel and Shammai, which date to the first century CE.
Mishnah Rosh Hashanah 1:1 specifically defines Rosh Hashanah’s “new year” status. “The first of Tishrei is the beginning of the year [rosh hashanah] for years, sabbatical cycles, and the jubilee.”
Until the Mishnah the year began at Aviv and then only after the year 200 C.E. do we see the start of the year being changed to Tishri.

16)Tombstone Year 5 after the Sabbatical 434 CE
Here are the words on the actual tombstone of Hannah:
“This is the tombstone of Hannah, daughter of Ha[niel] the priest, who died on the Sabbath, the first festival of Passover, on the fifteenth day of the month of Nisan, in the fifth year of the sabbatical cycle, which is the year three hundred and sixty-nine years after the destruction of the Temple. Peace. May her soul rest. Peace”

We all know the Temple was destroyed in 70 C.E. on the 9th of Av. as proven in our #10 proof. So by adding 369 to the year 70 we arrive at 439 C.E. And when we look at the year 439 C.E. in our charts, we can see that it is indeed the 5th year of the Sabbatical cycle just as the tombstone declares.

17) Tombstone Year 1 after the Sabbatical 455 CE
This is the Tombstone of….Son of Megalos (?), who died on the Sabbath, the twenty fifth day on the the month Tevet, in the first year of the Sabbatical cycle, the year three hundred eighty six years after the destruction of the temple. Peace Peace upon Israel!
386 years after the Destruction of the Temple is 456 C.E which was indeed the 1st year of the Sabbatical cycle.

18)Tombstone Year 1 after the Sabbatical 504 CE
rest the soul of Haifu the daughter of …, who died on Tuesday, the eleventh day of Elul, in the …year of the Sabbatical cycle that is the year four hundred thirty five after the destruction of the Temple. Peace Peace Upon Israel, Peace!
When I check my Sabbatical year charts I see that the year 505 was not a Sabbatical year but was the 1st year of the next Cycle. So what is up with this? The 11th month is actually 2 months before the Aviv in the next year at the end of the Sabbatical cycle.  When you add 435 Years to the year 70, you get the year 505 C.E. The Sabbatical year went from Aviv 504 to Aviv 505. The 11th month which in our reckoning today is the month of January-February 505 C.E. So this tombstone confirms our records. You need to be aware of the months and how our current years begin at January 1.
This is the year 505 CE. It is the 1st year of the Sabbatical cycle. The year of the Sabbatical cycle is missing. Joseph Naveh along with Wacholder suspect that the missing information based on the shin that precedes it, just like the first century coins that state “the first year of the Sabbatical Cycle”. Although not definitely proof, it does line in agreement with our chronology once again. I urge you to read the notes on page 114 for this tombstone.
Page 113 joseph Naveh “Another Jewish Aramaic Tombstone from Zoar” Hebrew Unon College Annual Vol 56(1985) pp. 103-116 Published by Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion.

19)Tombstone Year 4 after the Sabbatical 511 CE
“May the soul of Hasadiah the Priest son of Dematin rest, who died on Thursday, the fifth of Av, in the fourth year of the Sabbatical cycle, which is the year four hundred and forty-five after the destruction of the Temple. Peace on Israel. Peace.”
Again, doing the math, we add 445 to the years 70 C.E. and we arrive at 515 C.E. Again, when we look on our charts of the Sabbatical and Jubilee years which are based on those years, we have proven, from the years listed above, known provable historical Sabbatical and Jubilee years, we can see that 515 C.E. is indeed the 4th year of the Sabbatical cycle.

We continue this weekend with our regular Triennial Torah reading

Gen 47  2 Sam 22-23    Ps 93   Luke 9:51-10:42

Israel’s Journey to Egypt (Genesis 46-47)

Once again, God spoke to Israel (Jacob) to reassure him of His divine protection. Just as Joseph had recognized, God confirms that it was His plan all along to bring the family of Jacob to Egypt, where he would make of them a great nation. Only God knew everything He still had in store for Israel’s descendants—events to be recorded in the book of Exodus.

In Genesis 45:28, Jacob expressed the desire that will make his life complete: to go to Egypt and see his son Joseph again. That is enough. Here, God comforts Jacob in a way that must have brought the deepest and greatest joy to him. God promises not only that Jacob’s family would be made great in Egypt, but He confirms that Jacob’s last hope will be fulfilled—he will most certainly see his long-lost son. The firstborn of Rachel will be by his side on the day of his death. Their reunion at last arrives and with many tears of rejoicing, Jacob’s sorrow has finally ended, his life is fulfilled and he can face the day of his death in peace.

Jacob’s life has been a long and painful struggle of reaping the seeds of corruption sown in his youth. His own sons had deceived him about what had happened to Joseph using the same items with which he himself had deceived his father Isaac to receive the birthright—a slain goat and a special coat. And for more than 20 years Jacob had believed the lie that Joseph was dead. Jacob told the Egyptian pharaoh, “The days of the years of my pilgrimage are one hundred and thirty years; few and evil have been the years of my life” (47:9). So sad—and yet so true.

Jacob’s life should be a lesson to us about reaping what we sow (see Galatians 6:7). Of course, all of us have sinned (Romans 3:23). And we can be thankful that, upon our repentance, God will relieve us of some of the consequences of sin. But He won’t remove all of them in this life—so that we may learn important lessons, as Jacob’s story shows. His life, in the end, wasn’t all bad. After all, he became a man whose name was changed to Israel, meaning “Prevailer with God” (Genesis 32:28). Though he was ready to die upon seeing Joseph, God gave Jacob 17 more years to spend with Joseph and the rest of his growing family (47:28). Indeed, in our next reading we will see Jacob state at the end of his life that God had “redeemed [him] from all evil” (48:16), at last finding happiness in his final years.

Still, it was a long and difficult road in getting there. But it didn’t have to be—if Jacob hadn’t sown the corrupt seed he did in earlier years. This lesson is “written for our learning” (Romans 15:4). If we’ve been sowing bad seed, the answer is to stop now—asking God’s forgiveness—and to start, with His help, sowing good seed to reap a better tomorrow. The choice is ours to make.

Finally, Genesis 46 catalogs the names of all the members of the family of Israel that immigrated to Egypt. Once there, counting Joseph and his family, the total came to 70 persons. We know from the book of Exodus that this small group of people will grow to 600,000 men at the time of their deliverance from Egypt (12:37), which probably indicates a total population of two to three million people. Joseph settles his father’s family in the land of Goshen—the part of Egypt closest to Canaan and a land well watered with rich soil and well furnished with pastures for their herds—where the family and its descendants will live until the time of the Exodus.

David’s Psalm of Praise for God’s Deliverance (2 Samuel 22; Psalm 18)

The song of David recorded in 2 Samuel 22 is repeated with nearly identical words in the book of Psalms. Some small differences occur, notably the addition of “I will love You, O Lord, my strength” at the beginning of Psalm 18. This song is a wonderful ode to God’s great deliverance from enemies and His divine protection. It is also, as are many of the psalms, prophetically applicable to Yeshua Messiah. Indeed, 2 Samuel 22:3 (Psalm 18:2) is quoted in Hebrews 2:13, and 2 Samuel 22:50 (Psalm 18:49) is quoted in Romans 15:9 as applying directly to Yeshua.

More Deeds of David’s Mighty Men

(2 Samuel 23:18-39; 1 Chronicles 11:20-47)

In these sections the rest of David’s mighty men are listed. One person of real interest here is Benaiah, with whom Solomon will later replace Joab. It may be surprising to find this man fighting “on a snowy day” (2 Samuel 23:20), but “a light snowfall is not unusual in the Judean hill country during the winter” (Nelson Study Bible, note on verses 20-23). We read, furthermore, that David put Benaiah over “his guard,” a term literally meaning “‘his obedience’—that is, those who were bound to obey and protect David” (same note). Elsewhere, we see that Benaiah was made commander of the Cherethites and Pelethites (2 Samuel 8:18)—an elite force of David’s army made up of foreign mercenaries from Crete and Philistia who will later prove extremely loyal to David (2 Samuel 15:18-22). It appears that this group, which will eventually swell to 600 men, is synonymous with David’s personal guard—like the Praetorian guard of the Roman emperors.

Take note also of these two names: Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite (2 Samuel 23:34) and Uriah the Hittite (verse 38). We’ll see more about them later.

Psalm 93

YHWH shall reign, He shall put on excellency; YHWH shall put on strength; He shall gird Himself. Indeed, the world is established, immovable.
Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. Rivers shall lift up, O YHWH, Rivers shall lift up their voice; Rivers lift up their breakers. YHWH on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, the mighty breakers of the sea. Your witnesses have been very trustworthy.
Set-apartness befits Your house, O YHWH, forever.

Luke 9:51-10:42

Our portion opens letting us know that the time of Yeshua’s lifting up was approaching… meaning the Passover of the crucifixion of our LORD. He set His face towards Jerusalem. They had to pass through Samaria and He sent messengers ahead of Him into the cities of Samaria so that they could prepare for Him. But the Samaritans would not receive Him because He was going on to Jerusalem for Passover. You see, they wanted to worship at Mount Gerizim as they always had, not going to Jerusalem as was YHWH’s instruction. And so they missed Yeshua in their hard-heartedness.
He also had many come to Him desiring to follow Him, but had several excuses as to what they had to do first. Yeshua rebukes them all to teach of the cost to follow Him.

Then He appointed seventy others and sent them out two by two to witness of the Reign of Elohim and the Good News. He instructs them on how to find places to stay and to take no preparations with them. He tells them to stay in one place and not to move from house to house.
If a city rejects them and their message, they are to be given strong judgment and then to wipe the dust off their feet and go from there. In rejecting the messengers, they reject the Son, and in rejecting the Son, they reject the Father.

The seventy return with great reports and Yeshua is also uplifted in Spirit. They were able to heal and cast out demons.
Yeshua teaches that a neighbor is anyone who is in need.
