The Barley is ……..

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shalom to The Royal Family of Yehovah,

Following the Cloud

Yehshua said that no man can know the day or the hour. He was talking about the 10 virgins. 5 of them were ready and 5 of them were not ready.

Mat 25:11  Afterwards the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12  But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you. 13  Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes.

This year many of you have chosen to follow the Father and be obedient to His words. This has meant that you now watch for the crescent moon to begin the month, so that you count to each of the Holy Days, once you have sighted or learned that the moon was sighted from Jerusalem.

It also means you wait to learn if the barley is going to be aviv for wave sheaf day. The month of the ripening. Ha Aviv. You have chosen to follow the ebbs and flows of the cycles of Yehovah. His biddings and not any man’s. Not me nor any other leader. But Yehovah and Him alone.

Num 9:15  And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony. And at evening it was upon the tabernacle, looking like fire, until the morning. 16  So it was always. The cloud covered it, and it looked like fire by night. 17  And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the sons of Israel pulled up stakes. And in the place where the cloud stayed, there the sons of Israel pitched their tents. 18  At the command of Jehovah the sons of Israel pulled up stakes, and at the command of Jehovah they pitched. As long as the cloud stayed upon the tabernacle they rested in camp. 19  And when the cloud stayed long upon the tabernacle many days, then the sons of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah and did not journey. 20  And so when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle, according to the command of Jehovah they remained in their tents, and according to the command of Jehovah they pulled up stakes21  And so when the cloud stayed from evening to the morning, and the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they pulled up stakes. Whether by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they pulled up stakes22  Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud stayed upon the tabernacle, remaining on it, the sons of Israel stayed in their tents and did not journey. But when it was taken up, they pulled up stakes23  At the command of Jehovah they encamped, and at the command of Jehovah they pulled up stakes. They kept the charge of Jehovah at the command of Jehovah by the hand of Moses.

Last year we were involved in a controversial adar bet, the adding of the 13th month. We claimed the month was not needed and that the barley was going to be aviv by wave sheaf day. It was shown by reliable sources to actually be Aviv on wave sheaf day last year. Then Yehovah again showed us that we were indeed on the right track by having many orthodox Jews out harvesting the wheat a full 30 days ahead of when they and many others said was Shavuot. For us, we were right on time with Yehovah and His cycles.

We do not go by the equinox! We do not go by the calculated Hebrew Calendar or the conjunction of the moon with the earth and the sun. No, we follow the cloud, we follow Yehovah and rely on him to make the Barley aviv or not aviv to determine the start of the year and we wait on Yehovah to determine if the crescent moon will be seen or hidden by clouds or haze. We wait on Yehovah.

Exo 13:21  And Jehovah went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the right away, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, to go by day and night. 22  He did not take away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Israel followed Yehovah as a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day. They were being trained to follow Him, which was going to take place at a future date. That date came in the 2nd month after the Exodus.

Num 10:10  Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. And they shall be to you for a memorial before Jehovah. I am Jehovah your God. 11  And on the twentieth of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the testimony. 12  And the sons of Israel pulled up stakes in their journeyings out of the wilderness of Sinai. And the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran. 13  And at the mouth of Jehovah they first pulled up stakes, by the hand of Moses.

Num 10:33  And they moved three days’ journey from the mountain of Jehovah. And the ark of the covenant of Jehovah went before them in the three days’ journey, to look for a resting-place for them. 34  And the cloud of Jehovah was upon them by day, when they pulled up stakes out of the camp. 35  And it happened when the ark pulled up, Moses said, Rise up, Jehovah, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You. 36  And when it rested, he said, Return, O Jehovah, to the many thousands of Israel.

You and I are practicing to follow the cloud right now. We are suffering the ridicule and mocking of others about our beliefs. Just as the cloud led them away from danger and to better places, our keeping the Holy Days at the right time and using the Barley to begin the year and the crescent moon to begin the month in order to know when those Holy Days are, is also teaching us to obey and at the same time He is protecting us, fighting for us and going to keep us safe. At the same time you are practicing being righteous, you have also kept and are still keeping the Sabbatical year. It is not yet over. You have an extra month to continue to practice.

And because you do these things your prayers will be heard. Your prayers for healing, your prayers in general and your conversations with Yehovah will be heard by Him. He has said He does not hear the prayers of the sinner. those who do not obey. Even if you are striving to be good and keep Sunday as your Sabbath, or the Holy Days on any other day other than when Yehovah has said to keep them, if you do not obey Him then you are sinning and He does not hear your prayers.

Pro 1:22  How long will you love simplicity, simple ones? And will scorners delight in their scorning? And will fools hate knowledge? 23  Turn at my warning; behold, I will pour out my Spirit to you; I will make my words known to you. 24  Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention; 25  but you have despised all my advice, and would have none of my warning. 26  I also will laugh at your trouble; I will mock when your fear comes; 27  when your fear comes as a wasting away, and your ruin comes like a tempest when trouble and pain come upon you. 28  Then they shall call upon me, and I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me; 29  instead they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Jehovah. 30  They would have none of my counsel; they despised all my correction, 31  and they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own desires. 32  For the turning away of the simple kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them. 33  But whoever listens to me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

We have been preparing for Passover in March in case the barley was Aviv. We have been deleavening our homes in case the barley was Aviv. In the two reports below we will see that the barley right now is in the boot stage. It is not going to be ready by wave sheaf day on March 19, 2017. An Adar Bet is declared. A 13th month is now added to this current year of 5852 since the creation of Adam. This Sabbatical year goes on for another month before we can then plant and harvest crops.

Although many will mock us, we continue to follow the cloud. We continue to practice for what is to come. And never forget this one passage in Revelation.

Rev 12:13  And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who bore the man child14  And two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the serpent’s face. 15  And the serpent cast out of his mouth water like a flood after the woman, so that he might cause her to be carried away by the river. 16  And the earth helped the woman. And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17  And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Why, WHY do those who keep the commandments NOT FLEE WITH THE REST OF THE SAINTS INTO THE WILDERNESS? WHY????

It is my position that they chose to follow the wrong calendar. They chose to keep the Holy Days at the wrong time using the wrong calculations, like the conjunction or the equinox or they do not use the barley or they do not follow the cloud.

This woman, this group of Saints flees at Passover time. This is what Passover is all about. It is to train you to be ready to flee. You eat the Passover in haste with your shoes on and your coat on. It has another fulfillment in our near future.

Exo 12:11  And you shall eat of it this way, with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in a hurry. It is Jehovah’s Passover.

So although some will mock us and make fun of us, we follow the cloud because according to Revelation, many will be following their own calculations and this is when they will be removed.

Php 2:12  Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13  For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. 14  Do all things without murmurings and disputings, 15  so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world, 16  holding forth the Word of Life, so that I may rejoice with you in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain.

Adar Bet is declared and a 13th month is now added to this year of 5852. The reports from Israel are below.

The Sighting of the New Crescent Moon of the 13th month

The new moon of the 13th month was observed from Israel this evening, Monday February 27, 2017.

* From Jerusalem by Roy Hoffman at 5:58pm.
* From Givat Zeev by Willie Ondricek at 6:03pm.
I saw the Moon this evening (Monday 27th February 2017) from Givat Ram, Jerusalem, Israel. The Moon appeared with binoculars (25 x 100 mm) in a clear patch of sky at 17:39 (UTC+02) and to the naked eye in another clear patch of sky at 17:58. The Moon disappeared behind the clouds at 18:04. The sky was partially cloudy and somewhat hazy. Temperature 15°C, humidity 36%, pressure 925 mBar. My camera failed so the pictures were taken with a phone camera through the binoculars at 17:57 and 18:03.

The State of the Barley in Israel, 2017

The following three reports are going to be talking about the barley in the boot stage. In the diagram we have that stage is number 45 and or 51-59. These are the number of days since germination. In order to have wave offering ready barley by wave sheaf day on March 19, a mere 21 days from now, all you have to do is subtract the number for the ripe barley 91-19 gives us stage 72. This is the milk stage and we are not at that stage now.

Last year as the first of the month approached, we were at the dough stage and this was why we kept the Passover one month before many others.

With this information there is no need for me to go to Israel to confirm this. An adar bet, a 13th month is now declared.

Abib Report: Thursday February 23, 2017

Hi Folks,
It is a wonderful thing to be here in the Land for the 16th consecutive year. During our drive in from the airport last night we could not help but notice the absolute splendor of the almond trees blooming all around us. Almond trees are a lookout to us inspectors. They are the watchmen of late winter as we and some others coin them. They bloom first and lose their leaves last. A real tough species of tree! In every single past year, they have always blossomed the month prior to the first month of Abib. That was the case last year as well as the intercalated years of 2005, 2008, 2011, and 2014. I say that, for it is a pattern to what month we are in agriculturally.

For many of us 2005 was the start of a pattern for barley maturing as to a very specific calendar cycle. For the record, 2005 was an intercalated year; a 13th month added based on all the signs of winter not changing to summer. It was also the first year we in the body, inspected as a group by ourselves, for things had changed, 2004 was a transition year for the collective inspections we had done together with another faith based group in 2002 and 2003. I have promised some that I will write about the early days and why we split into two inspection efforts. No trashing, just the simple history so many can put their minds to ease on that subject, instead of bantering about it.

Here is the pattern started then:
2005 intercalated, 2006 normal, 2007 normal
2008 intercalated, 2009 normal, 2010 normal
2011 intercalated, 2012 normal, 2013 normal
2014 intercalated, 2015 normal, 2016 normal
2017 ???????

As most of you know I am a pattern person. But we must prove all things, thus we are in the Land just prior to the end of the 12th month according to our understandings.

Today we drove up through the Jordan Valley and stopped to look at some of the traditional locations another group use. We did this to see what stage of growth the barley (goat grass) was in for it is always dying long before any other locations. Most was just out of, or still emerging from, the boot. This area has a heavy stone base with some soil mixed in. Biblical agricultural principles tell us it will spurt up quickly and then die quickly due to shallowness of good soil and that is exactly what it does year in and year out. For those of you who have walked through these areas you are obviously saying to yourself; that is very young in the Zadoks growth scale; flowering to be exact.

We traveled on further up the road until we came to the convergence of the Jezreel Valley. This is where one of our go to early fields is located. It is one of many locations that qualified the normal year which we are in at the present. It is also the same field followed up on prior to wave sheaf last year (by Rebecca) which had dropped most of its seed. You can view it on the video from Rebecca, which she took, and which is on the site if you have not already. Compare it to the pictures we took the end of the 12th month last year and you will see the big difference. As you will see from the photo, most of the barley was still in the boot. There were also oats emerging and emerged at this location, but 2-3 weeks away from dropping in any quantity. This is the youngest we have ever seen this field. It will not be ready in any way shape or form to meet the minimum requirements to start a new year and the month of Abib.

Nothing we inspected today will either. Huge amounts of volunteer or wild barley were still in the boot which most know is stage 4 on Zadoks Scale.

There were no other signs in the North to indicate other than they are weeks away from meeting minimum standards of Lev 2 even if Sharov conditions started and persisted for some time.

We did see some of the wintering migrators, like; egrets, cranes (brown) not storks, but no African Storks. They have not entered the Land yet through either of the two migration corridors.

Our traditional fig tree locations are still dormant. None of the old vineyards has any green sprigs on them let alone the sour grape in flower. The designer grapes in the central Jordan Valley which are shrouded with coverings and irrigated have some small amounts of foliage on them but are completely unacceptable for use.

Everything today has upheld our thoughts that this will be an intercalated year. Tomorrow we will visit our traditionally early locations in the Northern and western Negev. Today was just spectacular weather here for our inspections.

Abib Report: Friday February 24, 2017
Hi Folks,
Lots to say but not much to talk about.

For those of you who receive your own copy of the reports via email there will be a delay. Not sure how long. My Outlook 2010 on my laptop crashed again last night. It has been an existing problem for about 2 years but there has been a Microsoft fix for it but is not correcting the problem any longer. The story is the abib email list is in it, and it is not opening for retrieval.

Never a dull moment!

Today we covered a lot of territory in the Northern, Western, and Central Negev. Lots and lots of barley, but most of it is in what we can call the “grass looking” stages which are 3-4 and some 5 in Zadoks Scale. All the traditionally early fields are no better off this year. We did see a few heads emerging in the volunteer barley and only one field in the head of the domestic barley which was located all the way down on Route 222 west of Tse’elim Junction. There has been a lot of recent rains the past 10 days with lots of water still on the surface.

Our traditional early vineyards were barren in most cases. The older ones had not even been pruned yet.

You will see from some of the pictures how high the domestic barley is because of the amount of water and they have no heads emerging. You will also see a familiar field from last year which produced aviv barley and took pictures on the hood of the car. We did the same thing this year at the same location with a representative sample of a volunteer/wild barley plant.

Notice the length of the stem, its thickness, and we had to peel back the boot to see the awns just about ready to emerge.

There is no need to do any follow ups to any fields this trip while we are here. No chance of harvestable grain for this to be a normal year in our opinion. Adding Adar 2 is a very simple conclusion for us.

Abib Summation February 26, 2017
Hi Folks,
It has been a very uneventful barley inspection trip this year. The barley was the youngest we have seen with only 2005 coming very close to it. But the winner is 2017. Rick and Angie, do you remember how we even considered that the goats and sheep may have had at it prior to our inspections in 2005? It was so immature we had a hard time accepting the fact because we had not seen it that young before. That is what we have here this year, this week. By the way, the yearly cycle pattern from 2005 is once again established this year with it being intercalated.

The anemones are sparse in the North but on fire in the south. I will include pictures of some for you all to see and share in the beauty of the Land.

The Almond trees are incredibly beautiful in many areas we have visited; both cultivated and wild. We will include a picture of them as well. As we know, and as it is confirmed once again, the Almonds are the last stand for winter, its last sentinel. In a few weeks they will have given up their blossoms for the fruit to start maturing into the nut.

We love watching the White Storks when they are migrating through, but unfortunately not this year. The bird reporting groups in Israel have not seen them yet. There are lots of Black Storks up in the Hula Valley, north of the Kinneret. For many years now they have had wintering flocks of them there. They are avery bland compared to the migrating White Stork which is just beautiful to watch in their long funnels reaching high into the heavens. Thousands of tourists come here during March/April to watch this wonder of creation. I am told there were a couple of clowns on a P.T. Barnum religious program trying to discredit this wonder of nature and Biblical sign of the month of Abib starting. Apparently they do not know the difference between a Black Stork and a White Stork. No surprise there; for they do not know the difference
between acceptable barley and unacceptable “goat grass.”

It may be of interest to some of you that the wild barley in the North is once again more advanced than the south. Not by a whole lot, but it is noticeable in the traditionally early fields.

For any who may be interested the end of the 12th month next year will probably take place after sunset the evening of Sunday March 18th making the 19th the start of the year if barley is found to be mature enough to meet the standards for a wave sheaf offering on Sunday April 8th. That means we will be inspecting the week of March 11, 2018.

We hope you have the information this year to make your decisions as to the start and end of this year’s cycle. Pictures for you are below.
