Where does it say we are going to Sacrifice God? Leviticus!

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom To the Royal Family,

Human Sacrifice

We are now about to return to our proving the facts as to what Torah does and does not say about The Messiah and His coming and dying. Our series has been interrupted by the events of the Festival of lights that are kept by many of you and those who do not know Yehovah at all. The Festival of Lights is Daliwah, Christmas, and Chanukah. It is the worship of the Saturnalia events and includes the false traditions of New Years on January 1. I know none of you are keeping any of these festivals that turn your worship into a whoring thing before Yehovah. So, I had to share those teachings for those who are still ignorant of the truth of the Torah in the hopes they might repent.

In the past News Letters, I was blessed to read your comments and I want you to know how happy I was to see all of you who were doing your homework to prove these things and not just accepting what I said or what others said as the truth. I am proud to stand with those of you who prove these things for yourselves. You are the ones who will rule and rightly judge in this 7th Millennium which is about to begin. Again you all have proven this and know this. If not then get our book Remembering the Sabbatical year of 2016 so you can then prove it for yourself.

One of the sacred statements of the anti-missionary types is the question that they poss to you about the sacrifice of Christ. They demand that you produce the scripture where Yehovah demands HUMAN SACRIFICES. They state how this is an abomination to Yehovah and how could anyone believe such a thing.

And I want you to know this thing about these people. Unless they had come along we might not be looking at this heavy subject. So be thankful, that Yehovah has sent these people to sharpen your swords.

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Yes, these people could be apart of the Great Falling away we are warned of in 2 Thessalonians.

Thes 2:1-4 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Or they could just be some who are caught up, or frozen or be paralyzed faith wise and need to see the facts presented as we are doing in order to see the truth as one of those people wrote us a few weeks ago.

Not sure if you’re going to get this … but your series against the anti-missionaries is the first series that I’ve read that isn’t full of trite, overused and meaningless christianese … thank you so much

Looking forward to reading the rest of your series on the anti-missionary stance. After encountering some of the arguments from Schoob (who has actually been a pretty good friend of mine), I’m literally paralyzed faithwise. When they asked these questions and made these points, I realized that I had no solid answer for them that wasn’t easily countered.

Thanks so much for this.

Kevin Kleint

I have taken the following quote from facebook to give you an example of the sort of thing being bantied about.

Blood of human does not attone for sin.
A man on a roman cross is not an alter or a place YAH would place His name.
Roman soldiers Are not a priestood.
YHWH and no part of Him is a sheep. (Unless you are worshipping the Egyptian god)
YAH does not change what He expects from His people.
YAH does not add to His torah neither should we.

I could teach you on each line that this person has quoted and show you how ignorant they are of history and facts. But I do not have time for that today. We are going to answer….let me rephrase that. You are going to answer this question, yes you are.

Does the Torah teach us that Yehovah was expecting a human sacrifice? Does the blood of a human being Atone for sin?

Let’s just review the questions we have already addressed. And here are the articles we spoke of them in.

Question one; Where are the scriptures that tell us God was going to come in the flesh?

Question two; Where are the scriptures that say God will die for your sins?

Question three; Where are we told that the Messiah would be killed?

Where Are We Told to Expect a Messiah in the Torah – Can You Prove it?

The Messiah was Promised from the very Beginning-Have you proven it?

We showed you how the Messiah ben Joseph and Messiah ben David are misleading teachings that you should not adhere to. It leads to another Trinity type doctrine. And we will have more on this in another coming article.

Now I did not totally answer all of these questions and I did let you post your answers in the comments section of each Newsletter. They were very helpful to many of the readers who did not post and again I thank you. This week’s teaching should address most of these questions in a way that many of you will say, ‘Well yes I knew that’ but no one has said it.

After our last teaching on Messiah, we were sent the following letter. We have posted other of his testimonials. But now he is revealing the end of the matter in his case. And it is another example of first how people deny Paul and then later they deny Yehshua and then the New Testament. It is a sad reality and it is caused not by anti-missionaries but by Christians themselves. the many false teachings of Christianity that become exposed when people actually begin to read the Torah. We will have more to say about this in the weeks to come.

Hi Joe,

Hope all is well in lovely Orangeville.  I pass through my old stomping grounds of Orangeville when I go up to my favourite stomping grounds of  the Bruce Peninsula. Since you posted my letters on your site I know you are reading them even though you have not extended the courtesy of responding to them directly.  Must be in the Torah somewhere that you should be discourteous to non Torah followers…:)

I am not going to continue this ad nauseam because you only hear the words you want to hear to carry out what has now given you cosmic significance.  Some parting words are in order and they are repetitions of what I have said in one email or another since I began contacting you.  The real founder of normative Christianity was Paul.  Normative Christianity properly understands Paul’s writings and hence do not keep Torah.  The WCG never understood it under Herbert but had their eyes opened after his passing. Hence their abandonment of Herbert’s teachings and embracement of normative Christianity.   Those who didn’t agree started their own organizations and probably the most successful one was Gerald Flurry and his now replicated Ambassador College campus in Oklahoma.  Even the late Rod Meredith who taught Paul’s epistles at AC tried to explain Paul’s  writings by claiming Paul was only referring to the Mosaic ritual law and not God’s law.  Well he was wrong because Paul was saying they were both done away with at Yeshua’s death.  See Roman’s 7 where Paul says when the husband dies the wife, or bride of Christ the church is released from the law.   The rest of Paul’s writings elaborate on this theme.

Paul Hellenized Yeshua by fusing him into a dying and reviving god which the Mystery religions were filled with at the time.  This is what made Christianity palatable to Gentiles.  There would have been no Christianity if it had not been for Paul.  Note the arguments Paul had with the apostles in Acts.  They were clearly teaching something different.  Paul’s version won out and the rest as they say is history.   That is the strange  bifurcation of Christianity.  Paul’s teachings are not Yeshua’s teachings.  Christianity would never have spread on Yeshua’s teachings and rightly so since he was not trying to start a new religion.  He was a strict keeper of the law.  He did not for one solitary second believe he was Yehovah.  Passages were he claimed to be were written by Christian writers to make it fit the god incarnate narrative that Christianity had begun.

That’s it in a nutshell.  Please post this letter as well so your readers can get another voice.

All the best by someone who thought we were friends at Stetson,

Ralph

You may or may not recall that Mr. Difiore has thought himself above us in having asked the question that no one wants to answer. We have been answering those questions but we have had to do so in steps which he has not liked.
Let me remind you of his question.

Greetings Grandpa Joe and former Stetson co-worker,

I noticed you have asked your readers to find references to the messiah in the Old Testament or shall we say the Hebrew bible since Jews do not believe that their bible has been superseded. Would you be so kind as to point out the scriptures in the Hebrew bible that state that yahweh was going to incarnate himself and become the messiah?

Much appreciated and then the next time I am in Orangeville we should get together and catch up on the past 31 years!

Regards,
Ralph

Shabbat Shalom Joe!

Haven’t heard back from you on my request to have you show me scriptures in the Hebrew Bible that state Yahweh would incarnate himself and become the Messiah.  Your site heralds the message to prove all things, so where is the proof to my question?  You obviously cannot come up with the scriptures I have requested because they don’t exist.  Don’t you think it strange that the central tenet of Christianity, that the Messiah was Yawheh incarnate is found nowhere in the Hebrew Bible?

Something to think about on the Sabbath.

Best regards,
Ralph

Greetings Joe,

One final thought and then I will leave you alone to your erroneous ways.  Obviously the Jews hoped for a Messiah and there are scriptures that say so.  This is not the issue.  The issue is the fact that the Hebrew Bible does not in any verse say Yahweh was going to incarnate himself and become the Messiah.  Further, the Jews rejected Yeshua because he did not fulfill the prophecies of a messiah.  Take your delusions of scholarship and debate a rabbi and put it on your website to show how pitiful you will come out of it.  Our school on Bayview is connected to a synagogue.  I can arrange the debate!

Keep preaching to the choir and continue in your delusions.  Your books on prophecy will all end like 1975 for the WCG.  It was cancelled due to lack on interest by the universe.

Shalom,
Ralph

Please do not think I am picking on poor old Ralph. He is but one of many who write these condescending letters having now rejected the writings of Paul and then the New Testament altogether. After that they will also reject the Messiah. And this has been the purpose of this series of Newsletters. To prove the Messiah did indeed come. But there is more to this than just that. We must also undress the false teachings of Christianity that have led many to reject the Messiah as well. It is only when this is done that we get the complete picture and the truth. We have more in this series to cover yet.
I do hope that Mr. Difiore and others like him will repent of their ways and look at the scriptures in truth instead of just to prove their own point of view.

The Red Heifer

I was pondering how to do this week’s Newsletter. So rather than beat around the bush let’s go straight to the scripture that showed me Yehovah Himself would die for us.

OK no, let’s first go to the reason why He died for us. And many of you have already said it.

Genesis 15:1-21 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”
And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”
And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Then He said to him, “I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.”
And he said, “Lord God, how shall I know that I will inherit it?”

So He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”

And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying:

“To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates— the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”

This covenant made by Yehovah with Abraham was a blood covenant. It is also a threshold covenant. Let me quote a section of my book to you from The 2300 Days of Hell.

26 And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. (Daniel 9:26)

“Be cut off” is from the word “Kawrath.”

H3772: ???? ka?rath kaw-rath’

A primitive root: to cut (off, down or asunder); by implication to destroy or consume; specifically to covenant (that is, make an alliance or bargain, originally by cutting flesh and passing between the pieces): be chewed, be con- [feder-] ate, covenant, cut (down, off), destroy, fail,

feller, be freed, hew (down), make a league ([covenant]), X lose, perish, X utterly, X want.

Do you see what this meaning of this word entails? One expression is to “Destroy.” But here is the very real and altogether sobering expression; “make an alliance or bargain, originally by cutting flesh and passing between the pieces.”

This is referring us right back to the very beginning when Yehovah made the Covenant with Abraham. And Yehovah walked between the two halves of the animals that were cut.

8 And he said, “Master ????, whereby do I know that I possess it?” 9 And He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, and a three- year-old female goat, and a three-year-old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” 10 And he took all these to Him and cut them in the middle, and placed each half. 11 And the birds of prey came down on the carcasses, and Ab?ram drove them away. 12 And it came to be, when the sun was going down, and a deep sleep fell upon Ab?ram, that see, a frightening great darkness fell upon him. 13 And He said to Ab?ram, “Know for certain that your seed are to be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years. 14 But the nation whom they serve I am going to judge, and afterward let them come out with great possessions. 15 Now as for you, you are to go to your fathers in peace, you are to be buried at a good old age. 16 Then, in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the crookedness of the Amorites is not yet complete.” 17 And it came to be, when the sun went down and it was dark that see, a smoking oven and a burning torch passing between those pieces. 18 On the same day ???? made a covenant with Ab?ram, saying, “I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Mitsrayim to the great river, the River Euphrates, 19 with the Qe?ynite, and the Qenizzite, and the Qad?monite, 20 and the H?ittite, and the Perizzite, and the Repha’im, 21 and the Amorite, and the Kena?anite, and the Girgashite, and the Yeb?usite.” (Genesis 15:8-21)

This is when Yehovah went between them and made the Covenant with Abraham. This is a Blood Covenant between Yehovah and Abraham and his descendants. But this is not the Blood Covenant that Daniel 9:26 is referring to.

Just so that you understand, in a blood covenant, should either party break that covenant, then the other has the inalienable right to kill them. The party that breaks this covenant will pay for doing so with their very lives.

Covenant in Hebrew means a “cut-where-blood-flows.” The purpose of covenant was to create a binding agreement, more powerful than a contract or agreement. This was to be forever—the lifespan of the participants, it was to be holy (and) sacred. To violate the covenant would mean death. The blood covenant was the ultimate insurance of loyalty and fidelity. There were variances of rituals but the common base was a “cut-where-blood-flows” and the mingling of these two bloods by the cuts being rubbed against each other. A cup of wine would be held under the cuts to catch the dripping blood, which was stirred into the wine by an officiating priest, then each participant would drink from the cup. In many cases the witnesses to the covenant would also drink from the cup of the blood and wine. In the minds of the covenant participants they had became one blood and one identity with each other. They would give each other their children to raise in utter confidence that the covenant partner would raise the child as their own.

The blood covenant has been used for centuries as a means by which any two people, families, tribes, villages or towns could enter into a binding, unending agreement. Covenant between two persons could end with the death of a participant on either side.

The participants would sacrifice several animals and cut the carcasses lengthwise down the spine and lay the animal halves opposite of each other about three feet apart. There being several animals involved, a path (was) formed with half a carcass on the left side and half a carcass on the right side with a three foot space between. After three hours, the three foot space between the animal halves would fill with blood that drained from the carcasses. The participants stand facing each other at each end of the path. Each removes their sandals and stand in their bare feet. Each will walk through the path of blood twice. The first participant walks the path through the animal halves to the other. Upon reaching the end of the path, makes a declaration to the other participant that he has just symbolically died and all his (list agreed upon prior) goods listed in will now belong to the other. He then walks back to his starting place through the path of blood, which is now a symbolic birth canal and is now born, is the new, (mutually) agreed upon identity.

The blood covenant, while somewhat gory, has at its base a death– rebirth process. Each participant will symbolically die, thus ending their former identity. They will then, in the ceremony, go through a symbolic rebirth. They are “born” or “reborn” into a new identity the two participants have chosen. Each of the participants will each write out their contribution to the covenant and this written document will be the same as the last will and testament that is enacted after the death of the writer of the will.

DEATH: The two being joined together into one, each make out a will as what will belong to the other upon death, the death that will take

place during the ceremony is symbolic because animals will be sacrificed and the animals’ deaths take the place of the persons being joined together. After each makes out their will, they then discuss at length with the other exactly what each side is gain from the covenant. The normal time from the decision to enter into covenant to the ceremony is about one year.

When two individuals are joined in covenant, they may choose to take one last name to show their common identity. In almost every instance when two families are joined together by covenant, they choose one common last name or they put their last names together and place a hyphen between the names.

Covenant in the Hebrew language means a “cut-where-blood-flows.” The blood was the seal of the covenant. The purpose of covenant was to join two persons/families in a permanent relationship that had no way out. Contracts and agreements have been recorded back to the most ancient of times. The ruins of Summer, the pre-Babylonian Empire that ruled the Tigris and Euphrates Valley, have yielded stone contracts for harvests of wheat, rye and barley. No argument can be made that the people were too unsophisticated to have contracts and that is why they entered into so many covenants.

Marriage is the closest agreement to the blood covenant in modern society, and marriage is today, closer to a contract than a covenant.

The blood means death if you break the covenant:

18 “So even the … first covenant … was not inaugurated and ratified and put in force without the shedding of blood. 19 For when every command of the (Torah) had been read out by (Moshe) to all the people, he took the blood of slain calves and goats, together with water and scarlet wool and with a bunch of hyssop, and sprinkled both the Book [the roll of the (Torah) and covenant] itself and all the people, 20 Saying these words: This is the blood that seals and ratifies the … covenant which (Yah) commanded [me to deliver to] you.423 (423 6 And Mosheh took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. 7 And he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that ,has spoken we shall do, and obey.” 8 And Mosheh took the blood and sprinkled it on the people ????

and said, “See, the blood of the covenant which ???? has made with you concerning all these Words.” (Exodus 24:6-8))

21 And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and all the [sacred] vessels and appliances used in [divine] worship. 22 [In fact] under the (Torah) almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins.”

[(Hebrews 9:18-22 | Amplified Bible) Hebraically Revised]

Another name of a blood covenant is a “blood oath.” The symbolism of the blood is simple—“if you break this covenant you will die.” In covenants between human beings, this simply meant that if the one party broke the covenant, it was the right and obligation of the other party to kill the offending party—that simple.

That remains the meaning of covenant today—this was why Yahoshua had to die such a brutal death to take our place because of our sins.

In Genesis 15, we read of Yah entering into covenant with Abram whom He renamed Abraham. Abram slaughtered some animals and the Spirit of Yah walked between the halves of the animals in the blood in order to consummate the covenant.

Cutting an animal in two and walking between the halves was a common way of cutting covenant in those days. Part of the symbolism was “If you break this covenant, I will slaughter you like this animal.”424

Yehovah tells Jeremiah when this Covenant was made; the very same one Daniel 9:26 is referring to. Those who did not and would not keep it were going to pay for not doing so with their very own lives.

13 Thus said ???? the Elohim of Yisra’el, “I Myself made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage, saying, 14 ‘At the end of seven years each one should set free his Hebrew brother, who has been sold to him. And when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you.’ But your fathers did not obey Me nor incline their ear. 15 And you recently turned and did what was right in My eyes, each man proclaiming release to his neighbor. And you made a covenant before Me in the house which is called by My Name. 16 But you turned back and profaned My Name, and each one of you took back his male and female slaves, whom he had set free, at their pleasure, and brought them into subjection, to be your male and female slaves.” 17 Therefore, thus said ????, “You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming release, each one to his brother and each one to his neighbor. See, I am proclaiming release to you,” declares ????, “to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the scarcity of food! And I shall make you a horror to all reigns of the earth. 18 And I shall give the men who are transgressing My covenant, who have not established the words of the covenant which they made before Me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between the parts of it: 19 the heads of Yehudah, and the heads of Yerushalayim, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land who passed between the parts of the calf. 20 And I shall give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life. And their corpses shall be for food to the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth.” (Jeremiah 34:13-20)

What Daniel 9:26 is telling us is that Israel, the anointed—all 12 Tribes—which include the State of Israel, the U.S.A., the U.K. and her Commonwealth, will be cut off, cut down, destroyed and utterly consumed.

When you break any kind of blood covenant, you pay for breaking it with your very life. What you are, in fact, saying is this: “May I pay with my life if this covenant is broken.”

This Covenant that Daniel 9 is speaking of is the one from Mount Sinai. We read how Moses sprinkled the blood of this Covenant upon the people after they had unanimously agreed to keep it. After this, the leaders of Israel then ate a meal with Yehovah all in accordance with the making of a Blood Covenant.

1 And to Mosheh He said, “Come up to ????, you and Aharon, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra’el, and you shall bow yourselves from a distance. 2 But Mosheh shall draw near to ???? by himself, and let them not draw near, nor let the people go up with him.” 3 And Mosheh came and related to the people all the Words of ???? and all the right-rulings. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the Words which ???? has spoken we shall do.” 4 And Mosheh wrote down all the Words of ????, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve standing columns for the twelve tribes of Yisra’el. 5 And he sent young men of the children of Yisra’el, and they offered burnt offerings and slaughtered peace slaughterings of bulls to 6 .???? And Mosheh took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. 7 And he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that ???? has spoken we shall do, and obey.” 8 And Mosheh took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “See, the blood of the covenant which ???? has made with you concerning all these Words.” 9 And Mosheh went up, also Aharon, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra’el, 10 and they saw the Elohim of Yisra’el, and under His feet like a paved work of sapphire stone, and like the heavens for brightness. 11 Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the chiefs of the children of Yisra’el! And they saw Elohim, and they ate and drank. (Exodus 24:1-11)

But there is more. Many of you who claim to be followers of Yehshua are also under a binding Blood Covenant with Him. At the Last Supper, the day before the Passover Lamb was to be killed, Yehshua sat and ate with His disciples and they also drank the wine. And what did Yehshua say of this night?

26 And as they were eating, ????? took bread, and having blessed, broke and gave it to the taught ones and said, “Take, eat, this is My body.” 27 And taking the cup, and giving thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Matthew 26:26-28)

This entailed everything the ceremony of the ancient Blood Covenant entailed. And it was not completed until the next day when Yehshua was killed. Read about the symbolism of this event by John D. Keyser:

The Blood On the Ground!

How, then, did the Messiah die? HOW did He shed His precious blood for humankind?

During the Passover Seder the shed blood of the Messiah is emphasized time and time again. Did the blood our Savior lost while being SCOURGED by the Romans qualify for our atonement? True, He probably lost quite a bit of blood during this ordeal; but the Old Testament shows that His blood had to be shed at the PLACE OF HIS DEATH!

The sacrifice of the RED HEIFER clearly points to this. During this ceremony, the Red Heifer, which PREFIGURED THE MESSIAH, was taken EAST from the Temple in Jerusalem, across the arched bridge over the Kidron Valley, to the MIPHKAD ALTAR located on the slopes of the Mount of Olives. (For further details, read our article, Just Where In Jerusalem Did Our Savior Die?) Here it was killed and the BLOOD SPRINKLED SEVEN TIMES ON THE GROUND before the east entrance of the Temple. Obviously, the scourging the Messiah received did NOT fulfill this, because it occurred within the city— WITHIN THE CAMP.

What about the blood released from the Messiah’s hands and feet when He was nailed to the tree? Would this qualify? A recent article published by the Journal of the American Medical Association (March 21st, 1986) shows that VERY LITTLE BLOOD was released by the crucifixion itself: “Although scourging may have resulted in considerable blood loss, crucifixion per se was a RELATIVELY BLOODLESS PROCEDURE, since no major arteries, other than PERHAPS the deep plantar arch, pass through the favored anatomic sites of transfiguration.”

Ernest L. Martin verifies this:

It has always been a mystery why so much EMPHASIS is given in the New Testament to the SPILLING OF CHRIST’S BLOOD, while in normal crucifixions, LITTLE BLOOD EVER REACHED THE GROUND. Only a SMALL AMOUNT of blood would ordinarily have issued from Christ’s wounds in His hands or feet while He was hanging on the tree (the blood that came forth by use of the spear WOULD NOT COUNT in a theological sense because that occurred AFTER HIS DEATH).

What, then, occurred to the Messiah, while He was hanging on the tree, that would FULFILL the sacrifice of the Red Heifer—which PREFIGURED His own death?

The Marring of the Front of the Messiah’s Body

Remember that Pontius Pilate was ASTONISHED the Messiah had died so early—BEFORE the two robbers crucified with Him. SOMETHING ELSE caused the Messiah to die more quickly, and it was this “something” which fulfilled the sacrifice of the Red Heifer.

Notice Isaiah 53:5-6:

But He was WOUNDED for our transgressions, He was BRUISED for our INIQUITIES; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His STRIPES we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has LAID ON HIM the INIQUITY of us all.

In the margin of the New King James Bible, published by Thomas Nelson (1983), the following words are given an ALTERNATE translation, as follows: “Wounded,” PIERCED THROUGH; “bruised,” CRUSHED; “stripes,” BLOWS THAT CUT IN; and “laid on Him,” CAUSED TO LAND ON HIM. Using these ALTERNATE words in the above verses we get this: “But He was PIERCED THROUGH for our transgressions, He was CRUSHED for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His BLOWS THAT CUT IN we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned, everyone, to his own way; and the Lord has CAUSED TO LAND ON HIM the iniquity of us all.” The phrase “pierced through for our transgressions” obviously refers to the CRUCIFIXION process itself, while “blows that cut in” must refer to the SCOURGING Yeshua

Secrets of Golgotha, p. 202.

But what about the phrase “CRUSHED for our iniquities?” If we couple this with the last phrase (both verses are talking about “our iniquities”), we can readily see that whatever CRUSHED OR BRUISED our Savior was (also) CAUSED TO LAND ON HIM! Now, WHAT could that be? Let’s look at Isaiah 52:14: “Just as many were astonished at you, so His VISAGE WAS MARRED more than any man, and His FORM more than the sons of men; so shall HE SPRINKLE many nations.” Here we see His face and His body were MARRED and He SPRINKLED His blood for “many nations.”

According to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, the Hebrew word for “marred” is “moshchath,” meaning “disfigurement: corruption, marred” (#4893). This word comes from “shachath,” a word that can mean “BATTER.” It is easy to deduce that the Messiah’s FACE AND BODY were disfigured BY BATTERING. WHAT caused this battering?

Another clue can be gleaned from Psalm 22, which also highlights the suffering of the Messiah: “They pierced My hands and My feet; I CAN COUNT ALL MY BONES. They look and stare at Me.” Think about this a minute. This “battering” that so marred the face and body of the Messiah by “crushing” or “bruising” had to have occurred ON THE FRONT OF HIS BODY! How else could He “count all [his] bones” that were exposed by whatever was “CAUSED TO LAND ON HIM?!”

Consider this: the Messiah’s FACE and the FRONT PART OF HIS BODY could NOT have been so marred by the scourging He received! To undergo the scourging, He was tied to a large flogging post THAT COVERED, AND THEREBY PROTECTED, THE FRONT PART OF HIS BODY from the Roman whip! Also, the face was NOT flogged. The report in the Journal of the American Medical Association explains this: “For scourging, the man was stripped of his clothing, and his hands were tied to an upright post. The BACK, BUTTOCKS, AND LEGS were flogged either by two soldiers (lictors) or by one who alternated positions.” Even Isaiah 50:6 shows it was the BACK PART of the Messiah that received the whipping: “I gave MY BACK to those who struck Me.”

Another point to consider is the SPRINKLING of the Messiah’s blood. To fulfill the SACRIFICE OF THE RED HEIFER, our Savior was crucified FACING WEST toward the Temple and the Holy of Holies; and His blood was sprinkled on the ground BEFORE the Temple— BETWEEN Himself and the Temple. This, in (and of) itself, Eliminates SCOURGING as the agent responsible for the shedding of His atoning blood. The blood obviously had to come from the FRONT OF HIS BODY—AND AT THE SCENE OF THE CRUCIFIXION! So WHAT was it that so BATTERED AND BRUISED the front of the Messiah’s body?

The Key To the Enigma!

The Book of John contains the key:

As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw Him [the Messiah], they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!” But Pilate answered, “You take Him and crucify Him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against Him.” The Jews insisted, [saying] “WE HAVE A LAW, AND ACCORDING TO THAT LAW HE MUST DIE because He claimed to be the Son of God.” (John 19:7)

What was this LAW the Jews were talking about? Leviticus 24:16 reveals the answer: “And he that BLASPHEMES the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly STONE HIM: as well as the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemes the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.” The Acts of Pilate (a 4th-century apocryphal work) contains verses PARALLELING John 19:7 that irrefutably prove the Jews were indeed referring to the Law in Deuteronomy 24:16.

In these verses, Pilate could not see any blasphemy in the utterance of Yeshua:

If this word is blasphemy, take Him, bring Him into your synagogue, and JUDGE HIM ACCORDING TO YOUR LAW. The Jews answered Pilate: “It is contained in our Law, that if a man sins against a man, he must receive forty strokes save one, BUT HE WHO BLASPHEMES AGAINST GOD MUST BE STONED.” Pilate said to them: “Take Him yourselves and punish Him as you wish.”

THE REASON THE FRONT PART OF THE MESSIAH’S FACE AND BODY WAS SO “CRUSHED” AND “BRUISED” BY OBJECTS THAT WERE “CAUSED TO LAND ON HIM” WAS BECAUSE HE WAS STONED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF MOSES!

Was the Messiah accused of blasphemy? Indeed He was! Notice Matthew 26:63-66 (below):

The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living The Acts of Pilate, Vol. or Ch. IV, pp.3-4

God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.” “Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “HE HAS SPOKEN BLASPHEMY! Why do we need any more witnesses?: Look, now you HAVE HEARD THE BLASPHEMY. What do you think?” “HE IS WORTHY OF DEATH,” they answered.

And what was the PENALTY for blasphemy? STONING!

Ernest Martin notes, in his book, Secrets of Golgotha, that this was NOT the first time the Jews tried to stone Him:

During the time of Christ’s ministry, many of the people who did not like His teachings had tried to carry out this Mosaic Law against Him SEVERAL TIMES. “Then they took up STONES to cast at Him: but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the Temple, going throughout the midst of them, and so passed by.” (John 8:59) “Then the Jews TOOK UP STONES AGAIN TO STONE HIM. Jesus answered them, “Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do you STONE ME?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we STONE you not; but FOR BLASPHEMY; and because you, being a man, make yourself God.” (John 10:31-33) The fact is, TIME AND TIME AGAIN, the authorities were trying to KILL HIM BY STONING. “His disciples (said) unto Him, ‘Master, the Jews of late sought TO STONE YOU; and go you [to Judea] again?’” (John 11:8). It is made clear in the Gospel record that the people who were hostile to Christ were looking for EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO STONE HIM FOR HIS BLASPHEMY (as they considered it). And, THEY FINALLY GOT THEIR WISH when they went to Pilate and said: “We have a law, AND BY THAT LAW HE OUGHT TO DIE.” (John 19:7)

Reading through the Gospel of John, it becomes readily apparent the Jews were indeed out to kill Yeshua by STONING from an early date. The first mention of the Jews plotting to kill Him is found in (John) 5:18 (below):

“For this reason the Jews tried all the harder TO KILL HIM; not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, MAKING HIMSELF EQUAL WITH GOD.”

In the eyes of the religious authorities, this amounted to BLASPHEMY—the worst crime imaginable! And, as we have seen, the Law of Moses required the penalty of STONING for blasphemy!

Secrets of Golgotha, p. 188

Later on, in (John) 7:1, we find this statement:

“After this, Jesus went around Galilee, PURPOSELY staying away from Judea BECAUSE THE JEWS THERE WERE WAITING TO TAKE HIS LIFE.”

And how were they planning to take His life? BY STONING! Now notice (John) 7:30 (below):

“At this they tried to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, BECAUSE HIS TIME [HOUR] HAD NOT YET COME.”

What “time” is John talking about? The “time” for the Messiah TO BE KILLED—to be sacrificed according to the preordained schedule of His Father!

We see this again in John 8:20 (below):

“Yet no one seized Him, BECAUSE HIS TIME HAD NOT YET COME.” The “time” for the Messiah to die and fulfill ALL the Old Testament prophecies pertaining to Himself had not yet arrived!

In (John) 8:58, we see the Jews becoming so upset they tried to stone Him on the spot!

“I tell you the truth,” Yeshua answered, “before Abraham was born, I Am!” At this, THEY PICKED UP STONES TO STONE HIM, but Yeshua hid Himself, slipping away from the Temple guards.

In (John) 10:30-33, 39, it is PLAINLY revealed the Jews were trying to STONE HIM FOR BLASPHEMY:

“I and the Father are one.” Again the Jews PICKED UP STONES TO STONE HIM, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you STONE me?” “We are not STONING you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for BLASPHEMY, because you, a mere man, CLAIM TO BE GOD.” Again they tried to seize Him, but He escaped their grasp.

The disciples became very concerned and were aghast when Yeshua determined to return to Judea: “Then He said to His disciples, ‘Let us go back to Judea.’ ‘But Rabbi,’ they said, ‘a short while ago the Jews tried to STONE you, and yet you are going back there?’” (John 11:7).

(Yet) the Messiah knew exactly what He was doing—His “time” had arrived and the events were to move inexorably toward the conclusion of His ministry and His life.

Putting all this together, we can CLEARLY see the authorities were out to STONE the Messiah FOR BLASPHEMY, and from an early date. But they were not permitted to carry out their plan UNTIL THE MESSIAH’S TIME HAD ARRIVED—the time set aside at the end of a long series of events that had to be fulfilled before the Son of God could be offered up on our behalf. And when that time arrived, the Jews WERE NO LONGER HELD BACK FROM STONING THE

MESSIAH FOR BLASPHEMY!

WHAT THEY CONSIDERED TO BE

Haim Cohn came to the same conclusion! Notice what he says:

Two incidents, reported only in John, are often cited to prove JEWISH ENMITY against Jesus: they are INCIDENTS OF STONING, when that animus took violent form. When they heard Him say in the Temple—of all places—that He had been before Abraham, the Jews “took up stones to cast at Him” (John 8:59); and again, when He proclaimed that He and God, His father, were one, “the Jews took up stones again to stone Him” (John 10:31)… (yet) when Jesus had spoken and taught in the Temple, “no man laid hands on Him, for His hour WAS NOT YET COME” (John 7:30; John 8:20). How then can it be that, though HIS HOUR WAS NOT YET COME and no man could lay hands on Him, THE JEWS STONED HIM? If His hour was not yet come, why did they seek to take Him, and He had to escape out of their hands? (John 10:39)

The words “for His hour was not yet come” carry a DOUBLE MEANING. On the one hand, they PREPARE THE GROUND FOR WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN THE HOUR COMES: then, it appears, THE JEWS WILL BE FREE FROM ALL INHIBITIONS AND GIVE FULL PLAY TO THEIR MURDEROUS AGGRESSION’S. On the other, there is a hint of the predestination of JESUS’ FATE, as if it were not the hostility and contumacious [rebelliousness, stubborn disobedience] of the Jews which DETERMINED THE EVENT [STONING], but solely the will of God, Who appointed His own time and CHOSE HIS OWN INSTRUMENTS.

There is absolutely no doubt that this is what the Jewish authorities were petitioning Pilate for permission to do. And what did Pilate do? “Pilate said, ‘Take Him yourselves and JUDGE HIM BY YOUR OWN

The Trial and Death of Jesus, p. 64.

LAW.’” (John 18:31) In saying this, Pilate permitted the Jews to execute Yeshua ACCORDING TO THE BIBLICAL LAW. This was an UNCOMMON allowance because it subjected the Messiah to suffer BOTH the Roman method of execution (crucifixion) for sedition and treason, and the scriptural (Mosaic) execution (STONING) for blasphemy, thus fulfilling all the Old Testament prophecies. To die for ALL of us—BOTH Jew and Gentile—He had to DIE ACCORDING TO BOTH JEWISH AND GENTILE LAW!

The Apostle Paul, in the sixth chapter of Galatians, affirms that our Savior died as a result of STONING. This is what he claims: “Finally, let no one cause me trouble, FOR I BEAR ON MY BODY THE MARKS [SCARS] OF JESUS.” (Galatians 6:17) Obviously, these “marks” could NOT be the result of crucifixion—Paul was never crucified; and, if he had been, he would NEVER have lived to tell the tale! Paul’s scars, therefore, were the result of something else.

The Book of Acts reveals that Paul was STONED about four years prior to his statement in the New Testament. The very first act of persecution against Paul that’s recorded in the New Testament was STONING—see Acts 14:19-20. During this incidence, which occurred in Galatia, Paul was STONED and left for dead. By a miracle from YEHOVAH God, he got up and walked away from it, but suffered for many years as a result of the terrible punishment his body received.

Our Savior Was Blinded!

Just like the Messiah, Paul’s face and EYES were the PRIME TARGETS of those hurling the stones. Paul mentions this in Galatians 4:13-15:

And you know that on account of a PHYSICAL INFIRMITY [Gr. WEAKNESS OF THE FLESH], I preached the Gospel to you formerly; and though I was a trial to you IN MY FLESH, you did not reject or despise me; but you received me as an angel of God, EVEN AS CHRIST JESUS. Where then is your self congratulation? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have PLUCKED OUT YOUR VERY EYES AND GIVEN THEM TO ME.

It was to the HEAD AND EYES that the stones were mainly thrown, especially during the initial phases of the execution (see Mark 12:4); and remarkably, Paul indicates, in these verses, that his principal affliction had SOMETHING TO DO WITH HIS EYES!

Ernest Martin elaborates on this:

Since it was common for hostile people to hurl stones at the FACE of a person, it can readily be understood why such a stoning could have ALMOST BLINDED Paul. He wrote with LARGE ALPHABETIC LETTERS (Galatians 6:11), and this may well indicate that he had difficulty seeing clearly. The lacerations had apparently so injured Paul that there was permanent damage TO HIS EYES AND FACE. When he told the Galatians that “my trial in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected,” it STRONGLY implies that his wounds (even four years after his stoning) were ostensibly so bad and unattractive that the common thing for people to do would be to reject him from being in their company. The Galatians, however, did not reject him, but treated him like an angel of God, “EVEN AS CHRIST JESUS” (BECAUSE THEY KNEW THAT CHRIST WAS ALSO STONED AND BLINDED). Since there were no plastic surgeons to improve Paul’s outward appearance, this is, no doubt, why Paul made a special point in telling the Galatians that he BORE THE SCARS OF JESUS IN HIS BODY (Galatians 6:17). Those SCARS, no doubt, CAME FROM THE WOUNDS HE SUFFERED DURING HIS STONING.429

YES, THE MESSIAH WAS STONED IN THE FACE AND BLINDED!

Notice Psalm 38, which is a prophecy of HOW the Messiah would have to suffer:

“For thine arrows [piercers—to chop into, pierce or sever] stick fast in Me, and thy hand presseth Me sore… My heart panteth, My strength faileth me: AS FOR THE LIGHT OF MINE EYES, IT ALSO IS GONE FROM ME.” (Psalm 38:2, 10)

Psalm 69:3, which is FULL of references to the sufferings of the Messiah, also indicates this! “I am weary with my crying; my throat is dry; MY EYES FAIL while I wait for my God.”

These verses show that the Messiah WAS TO BE BLINDED; and there can hardly be a doubt that sometime during the six hours the Messiah hung on the tree, constantly being struck by stones, (that) some of them hit His eyes and blinded Him!

Mangled Beyond Recognition!

His “visage” and His “form”—the front parts of his body—were MARRED BEYOND RECOGNITION. How do you account for the fact that Mary couldn’t recognize her Master at the tomb?

Secrets of Golgotha, p. 198.

They [the angels] asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put Him.” At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, BUT SHE DID NOT REALIZE THAT IT WAS JESUS. “Woman,” He said, “why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” THINKING HE WAS THE GARDENER, she said, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward Him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means teacher). (John 20:13-16)

The Messiah’s flesh was so mangled and His body so disfigured that even a close friend could not recognize Him! “His visage was so marred more than any man” (Isaiah 52:14). For six long hours our Savior was tormented by volleys of small, sharp, flint stones (such as are found on the Mount of Olives to this day) hurled at the front parts of His naked body while He was nailed to the tree—facing the East Gate of the Temple and the great curtain that hung from the eastern portal. These stones struck His face, His midsection and His legs, breaking the skin and dislodging the flesh—crushing and bruising and tearing, but without the force to break His bones. No wonder the Messiah was marred more than any man!

The Seder Symbolism

The Passover Seder or service has long puzzled scholars. They have been unable to see how breaking off pieces of matzos (unleavened bread) could in any way represent the body of the Messiah at His crucifixion.

Ernest Martin explains:

When Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper on the eve of His crucifixion, He took bread and BROKE it and He said this BREAKING was like His body WOULD BE BROKEN for them (Matthew 26:26). He spoke of the BREAKING of His body in the same context as the wine which represented His BLOOD which was shed at His crucifixion for the remission of sins… Since the New Testament specifically states that NO BONES in His body would be broken (John 19:36), many scholars can see no reference whatsoever to the death of Christ in the BREAKING of the unleavened bread…There are a number of Greek manuscripts and writings of several Church Fathers which provide a comment of explanation to the text of 1 Corinthians 11:24 concerning the BREAKING of the bread at the Lord’s Supper and they associated it with the BREAKING of Christ’s body at His crucifixion. They added their comments that the bread represented Christ’s body: “WHICH IS

BROKEN FOR YOU” THIS MEANS THA T THERE WERE EARLY BELIEFS THAT THE “BROKEN BREAD” IN THE CEREMONY OF THE LORD’S SUPPER DID INDEED REPRESENT THE “BROKEN BODY” OF CHRIST AT THE TIME OF HIS CRUCIFIXION…

Thus, we have the beliefs of early Christians and the prophecy of Isaiah itself that Christ’s body would indeed be BROKEN like BREAKING OFF pieces of unleavened bread. But the scourging of the soldiers before His crucifixion or the simple act of (the) crucifixion itself COULD NOT ACCOUNT FOR SUCH BREAKING OFF OF PIECES OF HIS BODY. But the act of STONING would fit the description precisely. The hurling of small and sharp stones at Christ’s body would tear away pieces of His flesh ever so slowly until, after about six hours of such treatment, He would have been hanging on the tree of crucifixion as a person whose VISAGE AND FORM would have been so marred that He would not have resembled a normal human any longer. This is how Isaiah 52:14 describes the Suffering Servant, whom all the New Testament writers identified with Christ Jesus, and I see no reason for not believing it. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER EVIDENCE THAT CHRIST MET HIS DEATH BY STONING (His body torn to shreds in its frontal areas) and that He DID NOT DIE BY CRUCIFIXION ALONE.

The next time you observe the Passover Seder remember how, when you BREAK the unleavened bread, our Passover Lamb was TORMENTED for hours by the constant barrage of sharp, flint-like stones that bruised… crushed… gouged and BROKE OFF pieces of His flesh, SPRINKLING His atoning blood on the ground before the presence of his Father’s Shekinah Glory in the Temple.

Remember, the sacrifice of the Red Heifer, which PREFIGURED the Messiah’s death so accurately, (it) did so right down to the very LOCATION of His death!

Remember that the Messiah died for the ENTIRE human race—you and me, Gentile and Jew (Israelite)—and in so doing, had to die ACCORDING TO GENTILE AND JEWISH LAW. Crucifixion satisfied the Gentile (Roman) Law and the STONING satisfied Jewish (Mosaic) Law. Without the stoning, the Messiah would have died for Gentiles ONLY! Remember that!

Jewish & Other Evidence

Are there other sources of information that show the Messiah died as a result of STONING? Indeed there are. The early Jewish people have long known that this was the way the Messiah was put to death. The Talmud (body of Jewish civil and religious law) has an account of His very death:

On the eve of Passover, Yeshua the Nazarean WAS HANGED. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, “He is going forth TO BE STONED because He has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy. Anyone who can say anything in His favor let him come forward and plead on His behalf.” But since nothing was brought forward in His favor, HE WAS HANGED on the eve of Passover.

The word “hanged” in this instance does NOT refer to hanging by the neck, but to being “attached” or “transfixed” to a tree. This historical reference in the Talmud shows that the Jews were aware that Yeshua the Messiah was actually STONED WHILE HANGING on the tree of crucifixion.

It is interesting to note that the Jewish authorities in Jerusalem had been PUBLICLY PROCLAIMING (during the forty days before the Passover in A.D. 31) that Yeshua deserved to be STONED for His teachings and statements. The Book of John shows that the apostles were well aware of this pronouncement and constantly reminded the Messiah of it. Notice John 11:8 once again: “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews tried to STONE you, and yet you are going back there [to Judea]?”

(John) 11:55-57 shows that the chief priests and Pharisees had issued orders for His arrest: “When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, many went up from the country to Jerusalem for their ceremonial cleansing before the Passover. They kept looking for Jesus, and as they stood in the Temple area, they asked one another, ‘What do you think? Isn’t He coming to the Feast at all?’ But the chief priests and Pharisees HAD GIVEN ORDERS that if anyone found out where Jesus was, he should report it so that they might arrest Him.” And true to the words of the Talmud, they had Yeshua STONED while hanging on the tree of crucifixion in order to fulfill the Law of Moses regarding a person who BLASPHEMED against YEHOVAH God.

In the book Rabbinic Essays,433 we find FURTHER EVIDENCE our

Sanhedrin, 43b

Savior died as a result of stoning. Recalling a Jewish Baraita (Jewish teaching that was not codified when the first part of the Talmud was put together), the author states that the Messiah met His death BY STONING and NOT by crucifixion alone. After a long discussion on this subject, the Baraita says: “He [the Messiah] is going out TO BE STONED,” followed by, “they hanged Him.” () This early Jewish tradition PLAINLY SHOWS that our Passover Lamb was indeed STONED TO DEATH while hanging on the “accursed tree.”

In Luke 23:27-28 we read:

And a great multitude of the people followed Him [to Golgotha], and WOMEN WHO ALSO MOURNED AND LAMENTED HIM. But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.”

Mark notes what happened when the Messiah and the women arrived at the execution site: “Then they gave Him WINE MINGLED WITH MYRRH to drink, but He did not take it.” (Mark 15:23) The “wine mingled with myrrh” was given to the condemned to deaden the pain, and was part of an old Jewish custom.

Haim Cohn explains this:

From Luke we know that “there followed Him a great company of people, AND OF WOMEN, which also bewailed and lamented Him” (Luke 23:27), and they would of a surety have followed Him all the way to Golgotha. Combining both traditions [Luke 23:2, Mark 15:23], it may, I think, be permissible to infer that it was the WOMEN ACCOMPANYING JESUS on His way to execution, and attending Him in His last hours on the cross, who BROUGHT THE WINE AND BEGGED HIM TO DRINK: it was an ancient Jewish custom that a condemned man, when led to the place of execution, had to be given a DRAFT OF WINE WITH INCENSE IN IT, “in order that He may lose His mind,” that is, become unconscious; and it was “the dear women of Jerusalem who volunteered and brought the wine” and offered it to Him.434 This custom is told in the Talmud IN CONNECTION WITH CONVICTS ABOUT TO BE STONED… “the dear women of Jerusalem” saw to it that… a man ABOUT TO DIE BY STONING should be anesthetized against excess of pain.

This custom passed into law, Maimonides (Jewish philosopher of the 12th-century) ruling that, when being led to his execution BY STONING, the convict had to be given a DRINK OF WINE WITH

435B Sanhedrin, 43a

INCENSE, so that he may get intoxicated and insensible—and ONLY THEN was he to be STONED. (Mishneh Torah, Hilkhot Sanhedrin 13, 2). This is FURTHER PROOF the Messiah suffered according to the Mosaic Law AND Roman law!

Ernest Renan, one of the leading biographers of Yeshua during the nineteenth century, understood clearly that the Messiah had been STONED as He hung on the gallows or tree:

And if ever a crime was that of a nation, it was the murder of Jesus. It was a “legal” murder, in the sense that its primary cause was THE LAW WHICH WAS THE VERY SOUL OF THE NATION. The MOSAIC LAW pronounced the death penalty for any attempt to CHANGE the established cult. Jesus, no doubt, attacked that cult and aspired to destroy it… Christianity has been intolerant; but intolerance is not essentially Christian. It is Jewish, in this sense that Judaism was the first to vest religion with a theory of the absolute, postulating that every reformer—EVEN THOUGH SUPPORTING HIS DOCTRINE WITH MIRACLES—MUST BE DRAGGED TO THE GALLOWS [TREE, CROSS] AND STONED BY ALL AND SUNDRY.436

The Final Fulfillment

Once we realize that people were throwing sharp, flint-like stones (such as those found on the Mount of Olives) at Yeshua’s naked body for almost SIX HOURS, we can easily understand WHY He died so quickly. Isaiah 52 and 53 were PERFECTLY fulfilled. His flesh was so TORN AWAY from the bones on the front part of His body that bystanders could hardly tell He was a human being. His flesh was so mangled and His body so DISFIGURED that it was almost impossible to recognize Him. “His VISAGE was so marred MORE than any man, and His FORM more than the sons of man.” (Isaiah 52:14)

In the initial stages of the stoning the head received the brunt of the punishment; and there can be no doubt several of the stones at least struck His eyes and BLINDED Him, thus fulfilling Psalm 38.

His body was truly BROKEN FOR US; and it is this terrible stoning that we commemorate when we break the matzos during the Passover Seder. How much MORE MEANING the Passover service will have for us now that we understand this crucial truth about the death of our Passover Lamb!

436La Vie de Jesus, 8th ed., Paris, 1863, pp. 411-412.

The tremendous symbolism pictured by the sacrifice of the Red Heifer really comes to life when we see how the Messiah SPRINKLED His blood on the ground before the Sanctuary. And the only action that could sprinkle the blood on the ground in such a manner, was the STONING He received. THE MESSIAH DIED FOR US PRIMARILY AS A RESULT OF THE TERRIBLE STONING HE ENDURED AS HE HUNG ON THE TREE—THUS BECOMING AN ATONEMENT FOR BOTH JEW (ISRAELITE) AND GENTILE!

We should thank our Heavenly Father for giving up His only begotten Son; and thank our Lord and Savior for the SACRIFICE He made on our behalf so we can qualify to become members of the God family and inherit the entire universe. May YEHOVAH God help us to continually keep this in mind!437

Daniel 9:26 is going to happen to those of us who have not kept the Ten Commandments as we agreed to keeping at Mount Sinai. Yet, many of you will say you are under the New Covenant and will not have to pay the price for failing or opting not to keep Yehovah’s Commandments.

Yet Yehshua says:

17“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete. 18 For truly, I say to you, until the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah until all be done. 19 Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.” (Matthew 5:17-19)

Yehshua Himself also said, “If you love Me, keep My Commandments.” (John 14:15) We also read earlier that if you claim to love Yehshua and be one of His followers, then you are also going to be keeping the Father’s Commandments—the very same ones the finger of Yehovah inscribed on tablets of stone and bestowed upon Moses from atop Mount Sinai.

21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

24 “He who does not love Me does not keep My Words, and the Word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” (John 14:24)

3 And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His

commandments. 4 He who says, “I have known Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk even as He walked. (1 John 2:3-6)

The Covenant inscribed in stone atop Mount Sinai was also going to be written on the hearts of men at a future time. This is the Covenant of which Yehshua made. The Law has not been done away with, but now is to be inscribed indelibly on the hearts and innermost being of all who call upon and believe upon Yehshua!

30 But each one shall die for his own crookedness—whoever eats sour grapes, his teeth shall be blunted. 31“See, the days are coming,” declares ????, “when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’el and with the house of Yehudah, 32 not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares 33 .????“For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’el after those days, declares ????: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. 34 And no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying,‘Know ????,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares ????.“For I shall forgive their crookedness, and remember their sin no more.” 35 Thus said ????, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the laws of the moon and the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, and its waves roar—???? of hosts is His Name: 36“If these laws vanish from before Me,” declares then the seed of Yisra’el shall also cease from being a nation“ ,???? before Me forever.” (Jeremiah 31:30-36)

Again, when we look at what the Book of Hebrews has to say on the matter, we are reminded of the judgment that we stand to bring upon ourselves.

26 For if we sin purposely after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a slaughter offering for sins, 27 but some fearsome anticipation of judgment, and a fierce fire which is about to consume the opponents. 28 Anyone who has disregarded the Torah of Mosheh dies without compassion on the witness of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment do you think shall he deserve who has trampled the Son of Elohim underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was set apart as common, and insulted the Spirit of favor? (Hebrews 10:26-29)

Even though you claim to be under the “New Covenant,” you fail entirely to take into account the fact that the New Covenant is a RENEWED Covenant of Mount Sinai taking the same laws written on stone and transferring them, through the Holy Spirit,

to being written and inscribed on your hearts. Therefore, if you do not and will not keep all Ten Commandments, then you too, can look forward to the very same judgment that will come upon those Daniel 9:26 is referring to if you are counted amongst those found breaking the Covenant agreement.

Let us again read the following verse in Daniel 9:

26 And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. (Daniel 9:26)

Here is what this is telling you and me one more time:

After sixty-two Shabua, or after the year 1996 (in the last Jubilee Cycle), Israel, the anointed of Yehovah, who agreed at Mount Sinai to the Covenant and then broke faith with Yehovah and, in like manner, those of us who came after who continue to break faith with Yehovah, will be cut off; that is, cut down and destroyed, so that they, utterly perish for having not kept the very same Torah that we agreed to at Mount Sinai; our marriage contract that we have broken.

Yes, we were redeemed and the Messiah paid the ultimate price at the tree when He was crucified in our stead. But this was for those of us who repented and returned to keeping that very same Torah that we had broken. It does not allow us to continue to not keep the Law now! Those of us who continue to break the Torah will have to pay the price of breaking the Blood Covenant of Mount Sinai with our very own lives! But those of us who repent have already had our sin debt paid for in full by Yehshua.

But we are not done with this verse yet. It also says:

  • • “Messiah shall be cut off and have naught.”
  • • “Shall be cut off, but not for Himself” is from the N.K.J.V.
  • • “Will be cut off and have nothing” is from C.J.B.But here is the actual meaning. Read it:H369: ??? ‘ayin ay’-yinAs if from a primitive root meaning to be nothing or not exist; a non-entity; generally used as a negative particle: else, except, fail [father-] less, be gone, in [-curable], neither, never, no (where), none, nor (any, thing), not, nothing, to nought, past, un [-searchable], well-nigh, without, compare H370.Israel is going to be cut off, cut down, destroyed and consumed. They will be as though they never existed. They will be no more; they will be fatherless. That is without our Father Yehovah.

What you’re reading is that the State of Israel, along with the U.S.A. and the U.K., will be so utterly destroyed that they will be as if they had not existed. They will be wiped off the face of the Earth!!! They will be completely gone!

I have explained in detail in The Prophecies of Abraham how, 90% of the U.S.A., 90% of the U.K., 90% of Canada, 90% of Australia and 90% of the State of Israel will be, for all practical intents and purposes, gone entirely—or, in other words, 270 million Americans, 54,000,000 Britons, 27,000,000 Canadians, 22,000,000 Australians and over 1,000,000 Jews destroyed and killed

Assyria in the Bible is today known as the nation of Germany and it is by Germany, the rod of Yehovah that we must all pass under.

5 “Woe to Ashshur, the rod of My displeasure and the staff in whose hand is My displeasure. 6 Against a defiled nation I send him, and against the people of My wrath I command him to seize the spoil, to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mud of the streets.” (Isaiah 10:5-6)

But this rod has another job as well as we are told in Ezekiel. Only every tenth one will be saved. The rest will be destroyed.

33 “As I live,” declares the Master ????, “do not I, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, reign over you? 34 And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out. 35 And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there. 36 As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master 37 .???? “And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the covenant, 38 and purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me. From the land where they sojourn I bring them out, but they shall not come into the land of Yisra’e?l. And you shall know that I am ????.” (Ezekiel 20:33-38)

We can go back to the times of Jacob to find out why this is the way it is—why today when we are in the time known as “Jacob’s Trouble,” of which only 10% will be saved out of it.

22 (T)hen this stone which I have set as a standing column shall be Elohim’s house, and of all that You give me, I shall certainly give a tenth to You. (Genesis 28:22)

Many think this is speaking of tithing and they use it to justify tithing to the church. But is this really what is being spoken of here? In the first half of the verse is the pillar stone upon which every King of Israel would come and be anointed as they vowed to keep the Torah in front of Yehovah. These kings came forth from the loins of Jacob. The tenth that Jacob was vowing here were of his descendants—a tenth part or 10%. Consequently, it is this 10% that we see being spared in the prophecy of Daniel.

I still have more information in this verse 26 for you to come to grips with on top of this terrible news I have just shared with you.

I have gone a little more than I should have in quoting from The 2300 Days of Hell. I wanted you to see what this blood covenant was about and also how Yehshua was killed so that His blood was spilled. But also to show you how it was the fulfillment of the Red Heifer sacrifice. Now let me also at this time, share with you some more about the Red Heifer.

According to Scripture, the greatest defilement of all is death. Therefore, the sin offering for its purification was itself the most marked. Sin renders fellowship with YEHOVAH God impossible; sin was death; it causes death (Romans 6:23). Death is evidence of its sway.

Therefore the Law of YEHOVAH God made exceptional providence for its purification. Says Alfred Edersheim in his book The Temple: Its Sacrifices and Services, “‘A red heifer without spot,’ that is, without any white or black hair on its hide, without ‘blemish, and on which never yoke came,’ was to be sacrificed as a sin-offering (Numbers 19:9, 17), and that outside the camp, not in the sanctuary, and by the son of, or by the presumptive successor to the high priest. The blood of this sacrifice was to be sprinkled seven times with the finger, not on the altar, but towards the sanctuary; then the whole animal — skin, flesh, blood, and dung — burned, the priest casting into the midst of the burning ‘cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet.’ The ashes of this sacrifice were to be gathered by ‘a man that is clean,’ and laid up ‘without the camp in a clean place.’ But the priest, he that burned the red heifer, and who gathered her ashes, were to be ‘unclean until the even,’ to wash their clothes, and the two former also to ‘bathe,’ their flesh ‘in water’ (Numbers 19:7, 8).”

The red heifer offering is a sin-offering, yet it differs from all other sin-offerings. Says Edersheim, “The sacrifice was to be of pure red color; one ‘upon which never came yoke’; and a female, all other sin offerings for the congregation being males (Leviticus 4:14). These particulars symbolically point to life in its freshness, fullness, and fruitfulness — that is, the fullest life and the spring of life. But what distinguished it even more from all others was, that it was a sacrifice offered once for all (at least so long as its ashes lasted); that its blood was sprinkled, not on the altar, but outside the camp towards the sanctuary; and that it was wholly burnt, along with cedar wood, as the symbol of imperishable existence; hyssop, as that of purification from corruption; and ‘scarlet,’ which from its color was the emblem of life….But even this is not all. The gathered ashes with running water were sprinkled on the third and seventh days on that which was to be purified. Assuredly, if death meant ‘the wages of sin,’ this purification pointed, in all its details, to ‘the gift of God,’ which is ‘eternal life,’ through the sacrifice of Him in whom is the fullness of life” (p. 279-281).

There is a Jewish tradition that Solomon, who understood all the meanings of all the ordinances of YEHOVAH God, was stumped by the symbolism of the red heifer. Jewish tradition itself was unable to understand the meaning of the red heifer; Jews to this day are in ignorance of its symbolism. What does it really signify?

The Awesome Symbolism of the Red Heifer

The red heifer pictured the sacrifice of YEHOVAH’s “only begotten Son,” Yeshua the Messiah (John 3:16). The femaleness of the sacrifice pictured the Messiah as the perfectly submissive sacrifice.

The color “red” of the sacrifice pictured his being fully and completely “human,” having partaken of human nature since he was born of human parents — Joseph and Mary (John 1:14; John 6:42; Hebrews 2:14). The very name “Adam” or “man” in Hebrew means “red,” or “ruddy.”

The red heifer was sacrificed very rarely, and its ashes served to purify so long as they existed, until they ran out. Even so, the Messiah “offered one sacrifice for sins for ever” (Hebrews 10:12); we are “sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (v. 10), “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified” (v. 14).

The red heifer was also led up to the Mount of Olives, outside the city of Jerusalem, to be sacrificed. “Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without [outside] the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach” (Hebrews 13:12-13). Likewise, the Messiah was led from the Temple porticoes to the Mount of Olives, where he was slain for our sins, in full view of the Temple itself (Matthew 27:50-54). Note that the Roman centurion “saw the earthquake, and those things that were done” (v. 54), including the rending of the Temple veil, or massive curtain, from his vantage point at the crucifixion site. This means he must have been standing on the Mount of Olives, just east of the Temple, the only point outside the city where the entrance to the Temple, and the veil, would have been visible.

What a perfect picture the red heifer offering is of the Messiah, the first-born Son of YEHOVAH God without blemish or spot, who “became sin [i.e., a sin offering] for us, who knew no sin, that we might become the righteousness of God through him” (II Corinthians 5:21).

Even though they understood it not, the Jews were even more precise as to its prescription and the precision of its ceremony. Says Edersheim: “The first object was to obtain a proper ‘red heifer’ for the sacrifice. The Mishnah (Parah, i., ii.) states the needful age of such a red heifer as from two to four, and even five years; the color of its hide, two white or black hairs springing from the same follicle disqualifying it; and how, if she had been put to any use, though only a cloth had been laid on her, she would no longer answer the requirement that upon her ‘never came yoke’ ” (p. 282-283).

Seven days before the red heifer was to be killed, the priest appointed to perform the task was separated and kept in the Temple where he was daily sprinkled with the ashes of the previous red heifers. He was to wear his white priestly garments when bringing the sacrifice. There was an arched roadway that led from the Eastern Gate of the Temple, across the Kidron Valley, to the Mount of Olives. It was “double arched, that is, arched over the supporting pillars, for fear of any possible pollution through the ground upwards. Over this the procession passed” — even as the Messiah himself was led in a procession from the Temple, outside the city of Jerusalem, to the very spot where the red heifers were sacrificed, on the Mount of Olives, overlooking the entrance to the Temple.

“On the Mount of Olives,” Edersheim continues, “the elders of Israel were already in waiting. First, the priest immersed his whole body, then he approached the pile of cedar-, pine-, and fig-wood which was heaped up like a pyramid, but having an opening in the middle, looking towards the west [the Temple]. Into this the red heifer was thrust, and bound, with its head towards the south and its face looking to the west, the priest standing east of the sacrifice, his face, of course, also turned westwards. Slaying the sacrifice with his right hand, he caught up the blood in his left. Seven times he dipped his finger in it, sprinkling it towards the Most Holy Place, which he was supposed to have in full view over the Porch of Solomon or through the eastern gate. Then, immediately descending, he kindled the fire. As soon as the flames burst forth, the priest, standing outside the pit in which the pile was built up, took cedar wood, hyssop, and ‘scarlet’ wool, asking three times as he held up each: ‘Is this cedar wood? Is this hyssop? Is this scarlet?’ so as to call to the memory of everyone the Divine ordinance. Then tying them together with the scarlet wool, he threw the bundle upon the burning heifer. The burnt remains were beaten into ashes by sticks or stone mallets and passed through coarse sieves; then divided into three parts — one of which was kept in the Temple-terrace (the Chel), the other on the Mount of Olives, and the third distributed among the priesthood throughout the land” (ibid., 283-284).

The cedar wood has a sweet fragrance, depicting the sweetness of the aroma of the sacrifice of the Messiah who died for us; the hyssop depicts the astringent cleansing and purification of his sacrifice, removing all sin. “Purge me with hyssop,” David prayed, “and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow” (Psalm 51:7). The “scarlet” depicts the red blood, the source of life. The life of flesh is the blood (Genesis 9:4). YEHOVAH says: “For the life of the flesh is in the blood…it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul” (Leviticus 17:11).

The blood of the Messiah, poured out for us, atones for our lives. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more, then, being justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” (Romans 5:8-9). YEHOVAH God says: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it” (v. 19-20).

According to the history of the Jewish people, Edersheim tells us, “altogether, from the time of Moses to the final destruction of the Temple, only seven, or else nine, such red heifers had been offered: the first by Moses, the second by Ezra, and the other five, or else seven, between the time of Ezra and that of the taking of Jerusalem by the Romans. We only add that the cost of this sacrifice, which was always great, since a pure red heifer was very rare, was defrayed from the Temple treasury” (p. 285).

When we look carefully at the mysterious sacrifice of the “red heifer,” it becomes obvious that it is a remarkable portrayal of the only true “sin-offering” of all time, the sacrifice of Yeshua the Messiah, who died for us on the Mount of Olives, in full view of the assembled Jewish leadership, almost 2,000 years ago. It is a stunning type of the sacrifice of the Messiah!

The Azazel Goat is Satan…. so the other Goat is…..

When I was reading my bible about the Azazel Goat while working on this series of News Letters, the obvious almost knocked me over. How come all these people are so blind. It is obvious.

John 12:37-41 as he quotes Isaiah 53:1 And Isaiah 6:10-11 But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:
“Lord, who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts,
Lest they should see with their eyes,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.”
These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.

It is Yehovah who is hardening the hearts of some so that they can no longer see the obvious. Do not let your heart become so hardened that you stop learning.

I want you all to read this chapter in Lev and learn from it what is obvious.

Lev 16:1-34 Now the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered profane fire before the Lord, and died; and the Lord said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.

“Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering. He shall put the holy linen tunic and the linen trousers on his body; he shall be girded with a linen sash, and with the linen turban he shall be attired. These are holy garments. Therefore he shall wash his body in water, and put them on. And he shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats as a sin offering, and one ram as a burnt offering.

“Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house. He shall take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Then Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for the Lord and the other lot for the scapegoat. And Aaron shall bring the goat on which the Lord’s lot fell, and offer it as a sin offering. But the goat on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, and to let it go as the scapegoat into the wilderness.

“And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull as the sin offering which is for himself. Then he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from the altar before the Lord, with his hands full of sweet incense beaten fine, and bring it inside the veil. And he shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the Testimony, lest he die. He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, bring its blood inside the veil, do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and before the mercy seat. So he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness. There shall be no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, that he may make atonement for himself, for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel. And he shall go out to the altar that is before the Lord, and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. Then he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, cleanse it, and consecrate it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

“And when he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place, the tabernacle of meeting, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat. Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man. The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to an uninhabited land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

“Then Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of meeting, shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there. And he shall wash his body with water in a holy place, put on his garments, come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people. The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar. And he who released the goat as the scapegoat shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. The bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp. And they shall burn in the fire their skins, their flesh, and their offal. Then he who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.

“This shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether a native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you. For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord. It is a sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall afflict your souls. It is a statute forever. And the priest, who is anointed and consecrated to minister as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement, and put on the linen clothes, the holy garments; then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tabernacle of meeting and for the altar, and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel, for all their sins, once a year.” And he did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Now go and read what it says in the book of Revelation.

Rev 20:1-3 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

But the goat on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, and to let it go as the scapegoat into the wilderness.

The very same thing described in the Day of Atonement of letting the Goat upon which the sins of the world belong, is taken away into the wilderness is the very same event that foretells of the time when Satan, the Azazel Goat is locked away for the 7th Millennium. This is so obvious, anyone can see it. I hope you do.

The Azazel Goat each year on the Day of Atonement represented Satan. The sins of the world were placed upon it. That is Satan who has caused sin to enter this world is symbolically through the goat held responsible for this. This is why the High Preist place his hand on the head of the Azazel Goat and confesses all the sins of Israel upon it.

The OTHER Goat, the one that is sacrificed for a sin offering is Yehovah.

Lev 16:9 And Aaron shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for YEHOVAH and offer him for a sin-offering.

Yehovah is represented by the other Goat and this goat once a year represented Yehovah being killed as a sin offering. It is the exact same thing as the Azazel Goat representing Satan and being locked away or thrown off a cliff in the wilderness of Azazel.

Why do you think we fast on this day and only on this day once a year? Because it was on this day that Yehovah was showing us that He would die at the hands of His creation for His creation.

Yehovah was represented as the Goat that was killed on Atonement

Yehovah was represented as the lamb killed at Passover. Passover and Atonement are connected.

Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.

Yehovah was represented as the Red Heifer that was killed.

Yehovah was represented as the daily lambs killed at 9 AM and 3 PM each day.

Yehovah was represented as the Turtle Doves that were sacrificed.

Yehovah was represented as the Grain Offerings. He is the Bread of Life.

Yehovah was represented as the blood by the very animals that Abraham cut in two and let the blood flow between them in which Yehovah walked through to seal the covenant.

We also read about the sacrifice of Isaac in the very place where the Messiah would be sacrificed about 1800 years later. Here Yehovah is telling Abraham to sacrifice a human being. This was symbolic of what Yehovah Himself was going to do. We often stay at this very spot while we are in Jerusalem.

Gen 22:1-14 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”
And he said, “Here I am, my son.”
Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
So he said, “Here I am.”
And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

Again at Mount Sinai, it was Yehovah who spoke and who made the covenant with the tribes of Israel. Israel broke that covenant and sinned. And yet right from the beginning HE, Yehovah was saying He was willing to die for Israel on the Day of Atonement, by the sacrifice that was done this day for the time when we sinned. This is such a big deal and this is why we fast on this day.

No Yehovah is not talking about Human sacrifices but each and every sacrifice that was done at the Temple represented the time when Yehovah Himself would be killed at some time in the future. That time has now come when all the sacrifices were represented in the events of that day on the 14th of the 1st month in 31 C.E. when He Yehovah, God With Us, Emmanuel, was killed for our sakes.

Passover, Unleavened Bread, Shavuot, Trumpets, Atonement, Sukkot, the 8th Day Feast, the Daily Sacrifices, The Red Heifer sacrifice are all about Yehovah and His love for us and HIs plan for our salvation.

It is Satan who wants to be like the Most High and has come to us acting like Him but who is not Yehovah.

Isaiah 14:12-17 “How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.
“Those who see you will gaze at you,
And consider you, saying:
‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble,
Who shook kingdoms,
Who made the world as a wilderness
And destroyed its cities,
Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’

Satan is the Azazel goat that looks just like the goat that represents Yehovah. You cannot tell them apart. The only way to know is to study your Torah. Christianity does not read nor obey the Torah. They instead follow the Azazel Goat. The Scape Goat. They have fallen for the lie that this is the Goat that dies and is blamed for sins it did not do, the Scape Goat. You have been deceived. The Azazel goat represents Satan. The Goat that is sacrificed represents and is spotless is Yehovah.

All of this was done to show you His love for us. And today we have many falling away denying that love and denying what He did. And yet many of them are going to keep each of the Holy Days and remember the sacrifices done on those days. But they will not see Yehovah in any of it. It is to them just another religious exercise. But to me, it is an act of intimate love between Yehovah and me and all those who choose to obey Him.

    Greeting Brother Joe,
Dave Smith from Nova Scotia here saying how do. I hope you are doing well.
You suggest Yahshua died from stoning and I’m afraid I’d have to disagree with you again (I can see you smiling from here) but that’s nothing new. I agree stones could have been thrown at him but not to the point of death and here’s why.
NOTE: This is rather long but press through to the end as many of us do with your long articles to reap the reward.
Ernest Martin writes: “the blood that came forth by use of the spear WOULD NOT COUNT in a theological sense because that occurred AFTER HIS DEATH)”
First, let’s read the scriptures that tell of Yahshua death.
Mt 27:50 Yahshua, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up his spirit.
Mr 15:37 Yahshua cried with a loud voice, and breath out his last.
Lu 23:46 And when Yahshua had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’” Having said this, He breathed His last.
Joh 19:30 So when Yahshua had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Take note, John is the only gospel that does not mention Yahshua crying out with “a loud voice.”
What was the cause of death? Doctors and scientists have proposed all kinds of theories from a broken heart, suffocation or collapsed lungs.
Lev 22:8 That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith.
Le 17:13 “Whatever man… hunts and catches any animal or bird that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood.
If Yahshua died of himself (broken heart, suffocation, cancer, poison, exhaustion) then he can’t be considered a perfect sacrifice. But John 19:34 leads us to believe he was dead before he was pierced. Do the original writings tell us he was dead before or died when the spear pierced his side? John doesn’t say the soldiers thought he was dead but they “saw that he was already dead.” So, because they knew he was dead “they did not break His legs.”
This is an important point. John has the crucifixion over with and Yahshua giving up the spirit in verse 30. Now, beginning in 31 right to 37 he is taking the time to confirm himself as a witness to the legitimately of the death of Messiah, so he explains what had already taken place and why. Remember, he’s already told us the crucifixion is over and Yahshua is dead. The high day is approaching and the Jews want them down from the stakes before sunset.
Vs 31 The high day is fast approaching and the Jews “asked Pilate that their legs might be broken.”
Vs 32 Pilate orders the soldiers to break their legs, which they do.
Vs 33 The soldiers “saw that he (Yahshua) was already dead” so they did not have to follow their order to break his legs.
Keep in mind, John is writing this passage to explain what he saw and why it is scriptural lawful. So the huge, unspoken question hanging in the air after verse 33 is, WHY was he “dead already.” In verse 34 John explains why and what happened.
Vs 34 He was dead already because “one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side” and immediately his blood was poured out.
John, are you saying he was dead before his blood was poured out? Because, if you are, you know full well Yahweh wasted everybody’s time and had his son die for nothing.
Vs 35 John proclaims, I testify and declare I know my record to be true “that you might believe.”
Would John be so stupid as to have his eye witness testimony actually invalidate Messiah’s redemptive work? No, certainly not, as now he turns to scripture to prove what he is testifying to.
Vs 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.”
Vs 37 And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.
In John 19:34, according to Greek scholars, the word “pierced” is in the aorist (air-ist) tense which is used for simple, undefined action. Whenever the aorist tense is used in any mood other than the indicative, the verb does not have any temporal significance, describing only to the reality of an event or action, not to the time when it took place.” In English, most scholars, considering the context, translate the aorist tense as the past tense and in most cases it’s correct but not in this verse because it contradicts the very core of the gospel message. Even though John 19:34 reads in English as if he was pierced after he was dead Mt 27:49-50 describes what actually happened.
Mt 27:49 But the rest of them said, “Let us see whether Elijah will come to save Him.” [And another took a spear and pierced His side, and there came out water and blood.] 50 And Yahshua cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
The missing verse or sentence is included in many translations.
    Moffat Version
    Fenton Bible
    Revised Standard Version
    New American Standard Bible
    Codex Vaticanus (Vat-tee-kun-is)
    Codex Sinaiticus (Sign-i- take us)
    Codex Ephraemi (F-ree-me)
According to Wescott and Hort the missing sentence also appears in most Syrian, Egyptian, Armenian, Gothic, and Ethiopic translations. It also appears in Origen’s (Or-e-gin) work around 200CE and was still a marginal reading of the Greek text when the KJV was made.
What happened? It was deleted following a lengthy debate in Constantinople around 477CE after a dubious version of the Gospel of Matthew was found in what was claimed to be the tomb of Barnabas in Cyprus. After consulting this gospel and finding the sentence missing Emperor Zeno (Zee-nun) censored the passage in future copies.
Adam Clarke writes: “After this verse (49), BCL and five others (ancient manuscripts) add, Another, taking a spear, pierced his side, and there came out blood and water. Several of the (church) fathers add the same words here.”
Yahshua cried out with a loud voice because he had just been pierced with a spear and John 19:33-37 is describing what had happened, why they never broke his legs (he was already dead). John wanted to make sure everyone knew the prophecies of Zech 12:10 and Ps 34:20 were fulfilled and even quoted both (verses 36 – 37) to make sure.
Why else would he have cried out with a loud voice? Look at the passage – He received the vinegar (John 19:30) so he didn’t cry out because of it. Was it because they mocked him (“Let us see if Elijah will come to save Him”)? Or was it because he had just been pierced with a Roman spear which would make any man cry out?
Blood does not pour out of a dead body as most people know who watch CSI and other police shows on TV. Despite that proven, scientific fact doctors, scholars and other professionals go to unbelievable lengths insisting it is possible for blood to pour from a dead body if – and three or four “what ifs” later they’ve got us convinced. However, it’s not that easy to remove the blood from a dead body. To remove the blood undertakers have to use a pump and by placing a tube in an artery they pump embalming fluid into the veins and the tube placed in the jugular vein allows blood to drain out. Then a suction pump is used to drain the organs of their blood.
Some scholars have suggested he might have suffocated, died of a heart attack or bled to death from his other wound. However, when a person is suffocating it’s impossible for them to cry out and heart attack victims don’t cry out but most often drop dead. But Yahshua cried out with a loud voice. Blood loss from other wounds (flogging, crown of thorns) would slowly cause one to pass out and lead to a slow demise but Yahshua was alert and speaking up until his sudden death.
In John 19:31-34 he tells how the soldiers receive orders from Pilate to brake their legs to hasten their death but they saw that Yahshua was already dead. How did they know he was already dead if he was not pierced, since very often a person would pass out on the stake and that might have been the case with him? But obviously they could see the huge wound in his side and all the blood that ran down his body and down the stake and onto the ground. That’s why John writes “they saw that he was already dead.”
A few good questions: If they knew he was already dead, why would they have pierced him? And more importantly, if they weren’t sure he was dead why would they disobey orders to brake his legs and instead pierce him? And why would he have died so soon? Was he weak and unhealthy even thought he followed Yahweh commandments? Even Pilate couldn’t believe he died so soon (Mk 15:44) because crucifixion was nearly always a slow lingering death. Why, why, why we ask. The answer is in the very next verses.
Jn 19:36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”
We are told Yahshua is our Passover sacrifice (1Co 5:7)
Mt 26:26-28 “Take, eat; this is my body…for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Drinking blood was forbidden because the blood contained the life cells of the animal.
Ge 9:4 Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
Le 17:14 “For the life of every creature is the blood of it; therefore I have said to the people of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life.
And yet Yahshua was saying drink my blood or more correctly drink the wine which represents my blood that will be poured out upon the ground (Isa 53:12).
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive.
The blood we inherit from Adam brings death but the blood we inherit from Messiah gives us life (Rom 5:9-10).
In the 12th chapter of Exodus the details surrounding the Passover sacrifice are given. The lamb shall be killed, its blood shed, its body roasted and eaten.
De 14:21 “You shall not eat anything that dies of itself.”
There is the proof that Yahshua did not die of himself. If he had then he would not have been a perfect sacrifice and his body would be considered contaminated, an unfit offering and unacceptable to Yahweh for a sin covering.
Ex 12:46 In one house shall it (Passover Lamb) be eaten; you shall not carry forth any of the flesh outside the house; and you shall not break a bone of it.
John specifically points out that the soldiers did not break his bones because he was already dead that this scripture might be fulfilled. Tell me, did the Hebrews kill the Passover lamb by shedding its blood or letting it die of itself? If Yahshua’s blood was not shed unto death then you and I do not have a saviour.
Le 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Heb 9:22 Almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Yahshua was “brought as a lamb to the slaughter” (Isa 53:7) and “was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken” (verse 8). The Septuagint reads “to death.” And Jamieson, Fausset, Brown Commentary has “the stroke (was laid) upon Him.” He was stricken to death which took him out of the land of the living. “He hath poured out his soul unto death” (verse 12) as his blood gushed out upon the ground. Verse 4, “We did esteem him stricken, smitten (strike, hit, slay, kill) of God, and afflicted.”
David prophesized Messiah’s cry in Ps 22:20, “Deliver my soul from the sword.” And John wrote in Rev 5:12, “Saying with a loud voice,Worthy is the Lamb that was slain (sphazo).” Strong’s #4969 sphazo – To slay, slaughter, butcher, to put to death by violence, mortally wound.
How can we be sure what caused Yahshua death? By depending on scripture and not on medicine, doctors, science or man, no matter how convincing they make their argument. When we stand back and see the whole picture Yahweh presented of the death and resurrection of His son it becomes crystal clear and sends us to our knees in gratitude, reverence and praise.
Joe you wrote: “SOMETHING ELSE caused the Messiah to die more quickly, and it was this “something” which fulfilled the sacrifice of the Red Heifer.” Alos you wrote: “Remember, the sacrifice of the Red Heifer, which PREFIGURED the Messiah’s death so accurately, (it) did so right down to the very LOCATION of His death!”
In comparing the deaths of Messiah and the red heifer one vitally, important aspect does not line up with all the others and is more important then all the others combined. That is how they died. The red heifer was not stoned otherwise it would have been reject and thrown out.
Another thing is Yahshua did not sprinkle his blood in the earthly temple and certainly not between the temple and the Mount of Olives.
Heb 9:11 But when Messiah appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) 12 he entered once for all into the Holy Place, taking not the blood of goats and calves but his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.
As for your post crucifixion Jewish writers they would gladly suggest he was stoned to death like a sinner for they knew no proper sacrifice was of any value if it died of stoning.
There is a reason why we are forbidden to eat things strangled and other scriptures point out the importance of Messiah shedding his blood for us.
Thanks for taking the time to write this and keep the faith and may Yah bless you each hour of every day.

Although I do not agree with David Smiths view that the spear is what killed Yehshua, I could also use many of the same scriptures to say that Yehshua was killed by stoning to fulfill the law of Blasphemy. However, how exactly He died, is not the issue. The fact is that He did die and that He did rise from that grave. That is what is important.
There is more to our series of News Letters to come proving beyond doubt that Yehshua did indeed come and die. Those who deny these truths are blinded by Yehovah and we are to use the scriptures to prove our own belief’s true or what they say to be true by His written word. But opinions and emotions do not count. We must use the word to back up our positions. Not leaving out scriptures nor hiding those that do not agree with our view. We must search all of the scriptures. That is the thing I have been trying to stress and share with you all since we first began in 2005.

    Shalom Mr. Dumond,
I do not know the proper avenue to address what I saw in the comment left by a gentleman named Ralph. However, I think everyone is getting the cart before the horse. Please, if you do not mind, refer to the article that I wrote a few weeks ago about the misunderstanding that people have about what Yeshua accomplished. Forgive me for plugging my article but I think it addresses the core argument that is going around: what is our relationship with YHVH and what did Yeshua do for us?

Please note: I did not go into any detail about Yeshua being stoned after He was on the tree because it would have taken too much time.
If this article does not adequately explain the role Yeshua had in YHVH’s Creation, I apologize. Any first century Jew would have a very firm knowledge of 1 Enoch and know that Yeshua would have been born in the time that He was by referring to 1 Enoch. Any young Hebrew boy would be able to quote his lineage as far back as Abraham or Noah or even Adam when he went before the father of his betrothed. They still do it in the Middle East today. So, follow this link to Yeshua’s bloodline that is alluded to in 1 Enoch, which is quoted by Paul, Jude and Peter. ((These are pretty smart guys, right?))

Thank you for your teachings. I always look forward to them.
I have a question: Jesus/YAHshua/Yeshua completed the Spring Feasts, and IF He was born on Tabernacles, and He died for us, wouldn’t that also be the fulfillment of Atonement? And IF so, then where does Trumpets fit in? Just learning all these things and trying to sort them …

    Shalom Mr. Dumond,
I began reading your article and read up to Ralph’s comment and realized that people have their relationship to the Messiah backward, so to speak. Yeshua did not did as a human sacrifice but rather died in our stead. I wrote an article about the proper relationship between us and our Messiah. If it does not bother you, I will post it here: https://codgerville.wordpress.com/2017/05/29/for-we-wrestle-not-against-flesh-and-blood-part-vii-yhvh-yeshua-you/

    Hi all,
Oh my goodness, such erroneous teaching and the people lap it up 🙁
Human sacrifice is an abomination to Elohim…there are so many clear straightforward scriptures…a few: Psalm 49:7 A brother does not redeem anyone at all. Neither give to Elohim a ransom for him. Deut 12:31 Do not do so to YaHUaH your Elohim, for every abomination which YaHUaH hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones. Lev 18:21 And do not give any of your offspring to pass through to Molek. And do not profane the Name of your Elohim. I am YaHUaH. Lev 20:3 And I, I shall set My face against that man and shall cut him off from the midst of his people, because he has given of his offspring to Molek, so as to defile My set apart-place and to profane My set-apart Name. Psalm 106:38 And they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they offered to the idols of Kena’an; and the land was defiled with blood.
While in John this false “messiah” says eat my flesh and drink my blood” he speaks in direct violation to the Torah…Deut 12:23 Only, be firm not to eat the blood for the blood is the life, do not east the blood with the meat, while v16 says pour the blood on the earth like water. Lev 7:26, also 27 which says Any being who eats any blood, even that being shall be cut off from his people.
The example given of this false messiah in Isaiah 53 is laughable. This chapter is NOT about him at all but the servant being spoken about is Israel. See for yourselves: Isaiah 41:8; 43:10; 44:1, 21; 45:4; 48:20; 49:3,7 ALL refer to Israel as the servant. 53 itself, verse by verse, refers to Israel. e.g. v2 growing up as a tender plant see Psalm 80:8 You brought a vine out of Egypt; You drove out the nations, and planted it v9 You cleared a place for it, and caused it to take deep root, and it filled the land. 53:3 look up Eze 16:5; Isaiah 60:14,15…many more scriptures for this v3. v4 Psalm 94:5 They crush your people, O YaHUaH, And they afflict your inheritance. V7 the messiah DID open his mouth but Isaiah 10:13,14 says n\’nor opened his mouth with even a peep. V10 did the messiah suffer sickness while on earth? Did he have children so he would see a seed? Did he prolong his days? Did he prosper? (not even a place of his own to lay his head?)
The references to the red heifer…please read Numbers 19. You’ll see that the heifer was completely burned and the ashes mixed with water for repentance from touching a dead body…nothing to do with a messiah.
There is only ONE Elohim who is Creator, Lawgiver, Judge, Redeemer and Saviour. Isaiah 33:22 for YaHUaH is our Judge, YaHUaH is our Lawgiver, YaHUaH is our Sovereign, He SAVES us. Deut 32:39 See now that I, I am He, and there is NO Elohim besides Me. I put to death and I make alive. I have wounded and I heal. And from My hand NO ONE delivers. Isaiah 43:10 and v11 says I, Iam YaHUaH, and besides Me there is NO saviour. Isaiah 45:22 Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am El, and there is NONE else. Isaiah 46:9; 1Kings 8:60; Joel 2:27….loads more scriptures.
His son is Isra’el not some fabled messiah: Exodus 4:22 And you shall say to Pharaoh, “Thus said YaHUaH, “Isra’el is My son, My first-born” and Hosea 11:1 “When Isra’el was a child, I loved him, and out of Isra’el I called My son”….not the fabled John 3:16.
Do yourselves a favour and google Beit Tefillah Publications and listen to the 7 short teachings on the new testament unveiled. This is scripture after scripture. Also Jo El. Also Servant of YaHUaH. The messiah and the whole “new testament” is made up by the catholic church. Just as all religions have a book, so also do the christians but they were smart enough to stick their book at the back of the Tanakh, even though the Tanakh does not say “to be continued”. Shabbat shalom from South Africa!

    Hi all,
Oh my goodness, such erroneous teaching and the people lap it up 🙁
Human sacrifice is an abomination to Elohim…there are so many clear straightforward scriptures…a few: Psalm 49:7 A brother does not redeem anyone at all.

    Thoughts:
Pilate was surprised at how relatively quickly Yeshua died: Yep – He was a strong young man (think tradie in his early 30’s). The Romans had lots of experience in this stuff. Long suffering was the aim.
Cause of death: likely from hypovolemic shock – increased blood loss from stoning that others who were crucified did not experience.
When He rose on the third day, Mary didn’t recognise Him.
He was resurrected in the terribly disfigured state in which He died. Presumably He ascended to His Father looking the same way.
I think that when Yeshua comes, we will be required to watch His crucifixion on a heavenly screen.
How else could we appreciate the horror and enormity of that act if we didn’t see it ourselves?
Mel Gibson’s “Passion” will pale in comparison (for the record, I couldn’t watch that movie so I’m not sure how I’ll go seeing Yeshua’s movie).
I only hope that Yeshua doesn’t appear disfigured for eternity, I pray that He is restored to pure visual beauty for our pleasure and peace – but who knows…will we need a reminder of sin for eternity?
After all, Satan and his angels had eternity from the start and they failed to go with God.
Love and Yehovah’s blessings to you all.

In the book and movie, “the case for Christ “it has already been documented that the Messiah did die while on the cross. This was proven by the “blood and water” that poured out.
A good deal of information that most of us should know by now, packaged very nicely. Good article, my friend.

    Hello Brother Joseph,
A truly amazing news letter, really blest me and gave me a deeper understanding of the blood covenant.
It is very sad that many are blind and don’t seek Abba for the truth. Yeshua said “You have not because you ask not”. Rather than debate we should go to the Father and ask Him to give truth and He does.
May Yehovah strengthen and bless you as you continue in His work, digging out the truth from scriptures.

I feel like I understand who Yahweh and Yahshua truly are, having read and resonating with this verse at such a level so difficult to explain:
“I tell you the truth,” Yeshua answered, “before Abraham was born, I Am!”
“I Am” is his name! It makes so much sense! The father made his spirit rest in the form of man so that he could take man’s penalty so all of mankind didn’t have to. He is so kind and merciful, and keeps his word.
Thanks Mr. Dumond again!! Please keep publishing what you know and study, it’s a huge help and one of my major sources of learning.
Thanks to you, and thanks also.

In fact, after some reflection just now, I think that all of mankind/Israel could not be perfectly worthy to take the death penalty anyway… For breaking the covenant, man’s party was guilty, but only one who is perfect could really understand WHY he was dying and WHAT attoning for the broken covenant really means.

    Nickie in Texas,
    Yehshua was born on Trumpets.
Tabernacles represents the Wedding Party and the 7th Millennium.
The 8th Day represents the Wedding with all mankind and eternity.

Joe, I thought I’d check in on sightedmoon.com to see what you’ve been talking about these days. It’s disappointing to see you slinging mud at those who don’t agree with you, the “anti-missionaries” as you call them. Have you considered the possibility that you may be wrong and those who disagree with you just may be right? While we have seen you teach well on the Shemitah, that does not necessarily mean that you are knowledgeable enough to teach on other matters. My prayer is that you will continue to study the Tanakh, come further toward truth and not leaning so much to your own understanding, which, because you are a human being, may not be perfect. Shalom.

Just this week I had a revisit on a sin I was taught when attending church which was genuflecting. So it was an interesting read. I was in the wrong then and though I knew it in my heart in one sense, I thought I may have not understood what I read being so new to faith, so thought in community I would find the truth about it. It was interesting to read what you said about worshipping idols in this matter. Also the crosses ..I came to the same understanding.
I do have a question about Yeshua being God too. I struggle over this a lot. I have struggled with the verses that say Yeshua on his return, will place everything under his feet and then place Himself and everything he has conquered under God’s feet. And the verses that say, sit at my right hand until I place everything under your feet as it is God who does the work.
There is also the scripture about the New Jerusalem Temple where the sun and moon are not for light but the Lamb and God himself will be the light and there will be no night. There is also I think in OT a reference to the King of Kings of kings. One being worldly, one being the Messiah and one being God the Father who is over all in my thinking.
I presently tend to think that that Yeshua is the image of God as far as we mortals can comprehend God by the power of the Spirit given to us. And they are echad as Yeshua is the emanation the first born of creation at God’s right hand in creation of the world.
As the Alef Tav 853 seems to be the communicating of self to the creation of God’s design.
God as pre-existent did not need to communicate with anything. But in determining to create things changed. Just some thoughts..
For the act of Creation however the necessity for communication ‘became the firstborn of creation’ and is Yeshua who is entirely one with Him in that Yeshua as the Alef Tav is the sense of self created by God for the express purpose of continuing creation. Yeshua is entirely Life and with God before the world was made.
Also, is it true that in ancient Israel when the new moon was sighted that bonfires of affirmation were lit and could communicate to the Jewish communities as far as the Euphrates ( which is the border given to Abraham of the Land ) the time to observe the new Month…?
If this is true perhaps the counting of days could easily be started at the border of the promise from sunset to sunset and we would not have to rely on a pagan dateline to tell us when the days of the week start either and the premise I gave of measuring time from the Land of Promise should stand and NOT of handedly be dismissed by us as foolish but investigated with a calm head.
All things work together for the Good… God’s Kingdom’s good.
    Be blessed Joseph
    In my prayers.
