How to Keep the Sabbatical Year today in our Life

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Sighted Moon News Letter 5844-023
28nd day of the Fifth month 5844 Years After Creation

August 30, 2008

Shabbat Shalom Brethren,

I am going to lead off with a free offer that some one has made. Those of you who are taking baby steps, this offer is just for you. Another thing those of you who are new to keeping the Sabbath and the Holy Days should do is to go online and look for books or booklets on The Spring Holy Days and the Fall Holy Days. I am going to have much more to say on this in the upcoming News Letters.

Dear Mr. Dumond,

A few years ago I purchased a case (each) of Samuele Bacchiocchi’s books The Sabbath Under Crossfire and From Sabbath To Sunday. My intent was to give the books to anyone interested in learning about the 4th Commandment Sabbath. Unfortunately, my family, friends and acquaintances wanted no part of this valuable information, as they keep Sunday. So now I have several of these books I would love to send to anyone interested in reading about the Sabbath. At the end of this week’s Sabbath, I noticed a stack of these books on my shelves, and it occurred to me that you might be able to help distribute these works. If you know of anyone interested in receiving one or both of Bacchiocchi’s books, I will mail them free of charge, including postage, until my supply dries up.

Thanks for your website and for any help you can give me in this matter.

Sincerely,
Karen
Please write Karne and ask her for these books if you want at kjorge1982@yahoo.com

Next;

Take a look at the drought that still grips Georgia, North and South Carolina and Tennessee, http://drought.unl.edu/dm/monitor.html And this is in spite of the hurricane Fay which passed by. Look at this area up close http://drought.unl.edu/dm/DM_southeast.htm Is Yahweh waiting for the governors of these states and the President to meet with me so I can share this message of the Jubilee with them? Pretty bold statement, I know. Well it rain there during this meeting? I know it will. Have they called yet? No. Have you told them of this News Letter? Will you?

This week I received an advisory letter from Martin Wies. He is explaining the great danger we are in as the USA Fed Government is about to bailout Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac. The World wide implications are astounding. But there is one line he said, that caught me like a deer in the head lights. I was stunned. It was this same scenario that I describe in the DVD back in March, and again when I told you to look at the amount of money the Fed is lending the banks in order to keep the financial system a float.

And this is the one line I quote from this article that hit me between the eyes. “What about the thousands of local governments that could soon be forced to cut essential services like waste collection or even homeland security?”

Just imagine what will happen if we do not have waste collection services. What about water treatment service, or sewage treatment services? The next curse is famine and disease epidemics. The Bible says they will be brought by animals. Ladies and gentlemen, Brethren, and Family, You may not agree with everything I am saying, You may think I am a few bricks short of a load, but some of you are so into religious hocus-pocus that you can’t see beyond you own false traditions that blind you.

That is a polite way of telling you to give your heads a shake. Pull them up out of the sand and take a look around at what is developing. You think this is going to be a cake walk because you are born again, or belong to the right group, or because you are already saved. We are entering 25 years of sever trials. No rapture ticket for any one.

This is what this web site has been saying now for just over two years. If the garbage is allowed to pile up then the rats and mice will have free reign, and if you have watched the DVD then you know what they can carry. Add that to the housing meltdown currently under way and an economic melt down bigger than the 1930 depression and you have the perfect storm for people with no homes living in the streets and sleeping in the open with rats and mice and the ticks and flees they carry snuggling up to them at night.

Then a sister and a few others, sent me this article about 160 people who have died in India from a mysterious disease and it is not known what it is or why these people are dying.

You can read the article under third curse in the forum area at https://sightedmoon.com/sightedmoon_2015/forum/viewtopic.php?p=431#431

Brethren this web site is now getting one day hits as high as 2800 and averaging around 1000 a day, unbelievable. August has set an all time record with over 22000 hits for the month. We will this week pass the 200,000 hits mark. Yahweh is doing something with this message. The message contained on the DVD which is being played on an Orthodox Messianic Jewish radio station. KMLS 101.9 FM Kosher Radio. The message about the Jubilee and Sabbatical year curses as told to us in Lev 26.

Please let as many others as possible know of this message. Send their e-mail address to me and I’ll add their name to the News Letter list. Tell them to sign up. Tell them to read those things that describe how their children are about to die in the next curse. Tell them how to avoid this next curse by keeping the Sabbatical year, starting in Aviv 2009.

The DVD is now the sixth best selling DVD at The Prophesy Club. Again I don’t get one cent for any of these sales, but I hope and pray the DVD will be the all time best seller by far. It is free to those who can’t afford it on my web site. But for those who have home groups or Assemblies or synagogues and or church groups, you can order the DVD at http://www9.mailordercentral.com/tpcbookstore/prodinfo.asp?number=D%2DCOO01

Tell other radio and Messianic Radio stations to air this message. This is something all of you can do. Let the Messianic Media outlets know this message is here. I have written to all I can find. I could sure use your help in getting this message out to as many brethren and by every means possible. Call the Producers and let them know they have to listen to this DVD. Do your part to help others hear this message.

Yahweh wants every one to know the truth contained in the Jubilee teachings. He is going to get your attention one way or the other. The other way that is next to come is the pestilence out breaks which are aimed at killing off your children. Leviticus 26: 21 ‘Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins. 22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate.

Yes even those of you who keep the Sabbath, and those of you who keep the Holy Days. Because you do not keep the Sabbatical or Jubilee years, this next curse is also aimed at you, and your very own dear children. You are deceiving your selves if you think you are safe because you belong to such and such a group or church. Do not end up saying this News Letter was right while you are standing beside the casket of your child in the funeral home.

Are you going to play Russian roulette with your children and their lives?

You think this is absurd? Consider what happened to Judah when Babylon came and took them captive in 586 BC. They kept the Sabbath every week. They kept the Holy Days every year and they did so according to the sighted moon as the beginning of the month. They were obedient the same as many of you are. But they did not keep the Sabbatical years. Not one. How do we know this?

2 Chronicle 36: 15 And the Lord God of their fathers sent warnings to them by His messengers, rising up early and sending them, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place. 16 But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy. 17 Therefore He brought against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, on the aged or the weak; He gave them all into his hand. 18 And all the articles from the house of God, great and small, the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his leaders, all these he took to Babylon. 19 Then they burned the house of God, broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its precious possessions. 20 And those who escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon, where they became servants to him and his sons until the rule of the kingdom of Persia, 21 to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

Yes they did many other things the same as our society is now doing that is abominable to Yahweh, but 2 Chronicle 36:21 does not lie. These people who kept the Holy Days and weekly Sabbath the same as many of you, died in the siege, ate their own children, died of famine and disease and by the sword before they were taken into captivity. AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN TO OUR PEOPLE AND TO YOU UNLESS YOU REPENT AND BEGIN TO OBEY!!

Jer 25:11 And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

Jer 25:12 ‘Then it will come to pass, when seventy years are completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity,’ says the Lord; ‘and I will make it a perpetual desolation.

Jer 29:10 For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.

Da 9:2 in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

Seventy Years were determined. One for each Sabbatical and Jubilee year that was missed. When you work this out there are seven Sabbatical and one Jubilee year in each Jubilee cycle, for a total of eight Holy Years. 70 Missed Sabbatical years then is 434 years that Judah and Israel did not keep. 586 + 434 = 1020 BC. This is from the time when King David was King over Israel.

If these people who kept the Torah were punished by Yahweh for not keeping the Sabbatical years, what makes you think you are going to escape the same punishment? You are not. If you have not yet proven whether or not those things this web site has been putting forward, now is the time. Do not believe me, go to your own bible and read it and then know for sure that this is from Yahweh. I have given many, many scriptures to support each News Letter. You must prove these things to your self. Or you can wait and see if they come to pass, but by doing this you risk the lives of your children. The choice is up to you.

Take some time and watch a few of the video under “Sightedmoon Core teachings and If you concluder the material to be true then tell others.

In this weeks News Letter I want to share with you a letter I received and help you all in how to keep the Sabbatical year.

I received this e-mail this week and it is the reason for this News Letter.

Dear Joseph,

Do you have a shopping list for keeping the Land Sabbath? I am still trying to figure this out on how to do it. I really feel compelled to obey this if I can.
Can we buy fish since it is not of the land? What can we buy and what can’t we buy? I am so overwhelmed by this. Please assist.
Sincerely,
M of Florida

First of all Brethren, I have never kept the Sabbatical year. Just like you this is my first time doing so. I do not have all the answers. Please understand this fact. I am just another brother like you trying to follow Yahweh and change those things I see that I am doing wrong.

Much of what is to follow is MY OPINION. I will show you the scriptures to show you exactly what Yahweh says. But other comments will be my OPINION and should be treated as such. Each of us must decide what is best and what is right.

With all these plagues in this end time what is it that Yahweh wants from us? This is a question Moses posed to Israel in Deuteronomy 10:12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?

1John 2:3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
1John 2:4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1Jo 3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

1Jo 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Deuteronomy 28: 21 The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. 24 The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

As I write this I have gone back to read an article from a few weeks ago. I urge you all to go back and read it again at this time. https://sightedmoon.com/sightedmoon_2015/?page_id=265 How to repent from breaking the Sabbath. To repent means to turn away from. Stop doing what is wrong and start to do what is right. That is OBEY!

In Leviticus 25 we are told 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the Lord. 3 Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; 4 but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard. 5 What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. 6 And the sabbath produce of the land shall be food for you: for you, your male and female servants, your hired man, and the stranger who dwells with you, 7 for your livestock and the beasts that are in your land–all its produce shall be for food.

We are being told here that we are not to harvest our crops. That is we cannot collect them to store and eat over the winter, but we can go out on a daily basis and pick what ever we want to eat that day. We can not pick and put it down to eat next month. It is to be eaten with in a short period of time.

Yahweh goes on to say in verse 19 Then the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell there in safety. 20 And if you say, “What shall we eat in the seventh year, since we shall not sow nor gather in our produce?” 21 Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bring forth produce enough for three years. 22 And you shall sow in the eighth year, and eat old produce until the ninth year; until its produce comes in, you shall eat of the old harvest.

I have noticed around my area that the rain has been abundant this year and the trees and grass and crops have been flush and full. This is in contrast to the recent past years which were drought ridden and hot and the grass was mostly dried up from the lack of rain. But because I have not kept the Sabbatical year previous I also see that my fruit trees are still infected with worms and other bugs. I use no chemicals to fight them.

Now we have also to consider some other things in this upcoming Sabbatical year.

Deuteronomy 15:1 “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. 2 And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the Lord’s release. 3 Of a foreigner you may require it; but you shall give up your claim to what is owed by your brother, 4 except when there may be no poor among you; for the Lord will greatly bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance– 5 only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today. 6 For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you. 7 “If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, 8 but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs. 9 Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,’ and your eye be evil against your poor brother and you give him nothing, and he cry out to the Lord against you, and it become sin among you. 10 You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. 11 For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’

If any one owes you money you are to forgive the debt they owe you. Our society will not forgive you your debt, and this in my opinion is why we have financial crisis every 7 years or so it seems. I have worked hard to pay off all my debts and to remain debt free. Any other debts I incur I aim to pay them off before this Sabbatical year. This does not include my mortgage.

Deuteronomy 14:22 “You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. 23 And you shall eat before the Lord your God, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always. 24 But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if the place where the Lord your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the Lord your God has blessed you, 25 then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses. 26 And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household. 27 You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no part nor inheritance with you. 28 “At the end of every third year you shall bring out the tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates. 29 And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

Deuteronomy 26: 1 “And it shall be, when you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, 2 that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide. 3 And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him, ‘I declare today to the Lord your God that I have come to the country which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’ 4 Then the priest shall take the basket out of your hand and set it down before the altar of the Lord your God. 5 And you shall answer and say before the Lord your God: ‘My father was a Syrian, about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and dwelt there, few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous. 6 But the Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us. 7 Then we cried out to the Lord God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression. 8 So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. 9 He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, “a land flowing with milk and honey”; 10 and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O Lord, have given me.’ Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God. 11 So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you. 12 “When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year–the year of tithing–and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled, 13 then you shall say before the Lord your God: ‘I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have I forgotten them. 14 I have not eaten any of it when in mourning, nor have I removed any of it for an unclean use, nor given any of it for the dead. I have obeyed the voice of the Lord my God, and have done according to all that You have commanded me. 15 Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, just as You swore to our fathers, “a land flowing with milk and honey.” ‘ 16 “This day the Lord your God commands you to observe these statutes and judgments; therefore you shall be careful to observe them with all your heart and with all your soul. 17 Today you have proclaimed the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice. 18 Also today the Lord has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments, 19 and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”

I have written of tithing in a previous News Letter and I am not going to discuss this now. But I want you all to realize we are in the second 3rd year cycle out of seven years. Every third year is the third and sixth year. We are in the sixth year. Have you and are you giving to the poor and the Fatherless and the widow. Just because some one is preaching from the bible does not make him a Levite, so I do not include them in this tithe. We do not know who the true Levite is. But we do know the poor and the orphans and the widows. Are you giving to them in this sixth year? The Jews do not tithe because they do not know who the Levites are nor do they have a Temple.

Deuteronomy 31:9 So Moses wrote this law and delivered it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel. 10 And Moses commanded them, saying: “At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of release, at the Feast of Tabernacles, 11 when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. 12 Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, 13 and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.”

Next year is the Seventh year. Have you planned on reading the whole law at the Feast of Tabernacles that you attend? Have you thought about it? Begin to plan on this event. It is my hope to be able to read the whole law in Jerusalem at the very place where the Red Heifer, and the sin offering and the lamb and Yahshua were all killed. What are your plans?

Why are we trying to do these things? Why are we going to tithe to the poor and the widow the orphan in this the sixth year? Why are we going to collect twice as much produce this year in preparation for the Sabbatical year next year? Why are we going to forgive the debts of those who owe us? Why are we going to keep the Sabbatical year next year and to read the entire law next year?

De 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

De 4:40 You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”

De 6:2 that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

De 8:2 And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

De 26:17 Today you have proclaimed the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice.

De 26:18 Also today the Lord has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments,

De 30:16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.

This is why!, so that we can be tested and found to be obedient; so that our children will prosper and live, so we can be called a special people as we fear Yahweh and so Yahweh can bless us and protect us. And also because our ancestors agreed to do so and never did. We want to do this.

But how?

You tithe to the poor, and you keep a tithe to go to the Feast. You forgive any debts owed you. You plan and follow through on that plan to store food and keep the Sabbatical year.

A sister in Florida sent me this Hurricane list. It is a list to follow in order to prepare for an emergency. I include here for you as a guide.
http://www.mass.gov/Eeops/docs/mema/hurricane_supply_list.doc

She goes on to ask; What about fresh produce? Frozen fruit drinks aren’t going to cut it for lunch boxes. I have middle school aged children. May I need to get frozen, canned fruit and dried fruits etc!

Brethren you can over load me with questions. I do not have all the answers. I just know and have set my mind to the fact that I am going to do this come hell or high water. I have an unconverted mate who thinks I belong in the looney bin. She hates what I am doing and all that it involves. Yet I am not using this for an excuse.

I have been able to study this subject and to write these News Letters and now to begin to do a half hour radio show twice a week and to keep the Sabbath and Holy Days with my unconverted mate objecting all the way. I say this to you not for my glory but to say to you what excuse can you come up with not to do this. If I can do this so can you who have a mate that believes as you do and is helping you.

So here is what I am going to do.

Keep in mind that the food stored must be from Aviv to Aviv. But because there is no new crops at Aviv except Barley we must also have enough to last until the new grain is harvested after Pentecost, and many of the vegetables and berries will not be ready until the fall.

I plan on buying on a weekly basis a case or two of those foods that I can buy in cans until I have enough for the time we are talking about. Example; we eat beans and rice once a week, so I will buy 78 cans of bean and 78 cans of the rice which we eat to be able to eat it once a week for 1 ½ years, until the next crop is in so I can then eat of the new crop.

I plan to do this for corn brown beans, green beans, and other vegetables. Some Vegetables can be bought and kept frozen. I also plan to buy many frozen peas and carrots and broccoli and cauliflower etc… and to keep them all frozen.

I also plan on buying frozen fruit juices. As we go through a can of juice each day, I expect to buy 548 cans of Water Melon and Peach and Strawberry and mango and other juices to last the year and a half.

I am also looking to buy dried fruit and vegetables in bulk to help out.

We must be careful of the bread. I plan to purchase 52 loaves of bread after the days of Unleavened Bread . So that there will not be any leaven in our house during this Holy Day period. We go through one loaf a week. But because we must throw out all the leaven products the following year we cannot have the bread any longer than the following Days of Unleavened bread in 2010. From that time to the time of the Pentecost when wheat is then harvested I will eat Matzos which I must make sure to buy enough of in 2009 to last two year plus this extended period of time.

You could have the grain in storage and make your own bread after the Passover season in 2010. This is something I am also looking at. But where do we get leaven after the days of Unleavened bread which is from last year?

Condiments and herbs and spices and sugars and salt and pepper I am also going to make sure I have a good supply of on hand.

I also plan on ordering fruit pies from a local farm.

As you can see this only applies to fruits and vegetables. If you eat meat then you can do so with out any concerns for the Sabbatical year. Just be concerned about the products added to it.

What do we do about Restaurants and Travel and eating out? What about the feast?

My wife and I generally go out once a month. I also work out of town on occasion. What to do? What do you do when some one invites you over who is not keeping this way of life or takes you out to supper? What about going on a cruise or vacation?

Some groups think it is OK to eat in a restaurant on the Sabbath or Holy Day, other groups think this is not OK. Some eat meat and others will not.

What is the answer here? Brethren I do not know for sure. But in Mathew is something we can use as a guide Mt 15:11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

If your spouse or a friend or you have to go out of town or on a trip to say Jerusalem to keep the Feast, it would be my opinion, that it would be OK to eat what is given to you, even though you know it may have been grown in this Sabbatical year and not kosher. Then again you may not know if it was from the last year or not.

Again brethren, do not send me copious amount of emails on this. I just offered my opinion. I am going to set up a place where this can be discussed on YahSpace. Here is the link to the group section for you to enter your questions and to give your thoughts. How to keep the Sabbatical year in practical everyday life at http://yahspace.ning.com/group/sabbaticalyear2009questionsandanswers/forum/topic/show?id=858185%3ATopic%3A1775458

You can all have your say and input there. I know for a fact that many of you are smarter and know the scriptures better than I and maybe you can help in this regards. Perhaps Yahweh will inspire one of you to say just the right things that will answer our questions.

Another thing I have done and which has just been asked about is planting. I have this year planted grape vines and berry bushes. I have done this so I could have fruit and berries next year. Although I can not harvest I can go out and pick and eat what I need that day.

I also am planning on letting a great deal of seed fall on the ground this fall as I harvest my garden, so that next year it can grow again. Some of my lettuce and cabbage I have let bolt so that it seeds itself.

I have also cut back on all the hedges that need trimming. I have limbed any trees that need to be cut back. Just so I will not have to do it next year.

May Yahweh guide you and bless you in your understanding of this subject.
Shalom

That is an eye-opening message for many I am sure. We had decided to keep the land Sabbath, but were not convinced by the rabbinic calculation which would have put it in this year. We have been here and gardening for only 5 years and the land has had a 40 year or so rest, so we decided to do it in our own 7 year time.
This year we had late killing frosts and snow. The tomato plants blossom and set lots of fruit, but we have not picked one ripe tomato as of today. It looks like we may get 3 cucumbers. By contrast we are buried in Zucchini.
Basically to me it is a lesson against trying to do it our way and not His.
