Get Out of Jail Free Card

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom family,

New Moon of the 6th Month

The new moon was sighted from Israel this evening, August 12, 2018!

* From Jerusalem by Devorah Gordon at 7:36pm, followed by Nehemia Gordon and Gil Ashendorf.
* From Eilat at 7:42pm by Lukas Michael Schneider and his son Alon.
* From Arad at 7:43 by Ataliyah and Elsie.
* From the Zevulun Valley at 7:44 by Yoel Halevvi.

This means that Rosh Chodesh (the first day of the month) begins at sunset on Sunday, August 12, 2018.

Where is God?

A large bridge collapses in Genoa Italy this week and at least 39 have now died. Where was God? Why did He not stop the storm or save the bridge?

Wild Fires are decimating California and British Columbia. Last month a wildfire raced across Greece and burnt 79 people alive. Many tried to drive away from the fires in their cars only to run into other cars that were abandoned on the road. This is where they raced to the sea. Some were burnt in their cars others were burnt trying to run and then still more drowned in the sea.

Thousands are being displaced from their homes. Where is God? Why does He not sent the rain? Why does He send the lightning instead?

So many praying for their houses to be spared many others pray for the dead and the victims, but He does not hear their prayers. Why?

As Elijah said to the priest of Baal, maybe the god they are praying to is busy having a dump. Maybe that is what god is doing or maybe he is asleep.

Why is Australia again in the worst drought in 400 years?

COONABARABRAN , NEW SOUTH WALES – JUNE 20: The Jerry family farm ‘Marlborough’, 40 km outside Coonabarabran. The New South Wales State government recently approved an emergency drought relief package of A$600m, of which at least A$250m is allocated for low interest loans to assist eligible farm businesses to recover. The package has been welcomed, though in the words of a local farmer “it barely touches the sides”. Now with the real prospect of a dry El-Nino weather pattern hitting the state in Spring, the longer term outlook for rain here is dire. June 20, 2018 in Coonabarabran, Australia. Yes, that must be it. god is too busy to come and help because he is having a royal dump. Elijah is right.

Maybe all these self-righteous Christians that keep writing to me should pray harder and pray louder. I know maybe they should get more people to pray and have huge prayer chains going. Maybe then god will wake up and hear.

Oh yes, there were over 400 Christians slaughtered in Nigeria this month by the Muslims. God must have been busy looking for the millions of Christians who used to be in Iraq and Syria just a few years ago who are nowhere on this earth to be found because they too were slaughtered by ISIS. I guess god did not know they were in trouble.

No, they were not raptured. If they were then god forgot the rest of you and us. I guess those Christians did not have the right get out of jail card like many of you think you have.

The Anglo Saxon nations of the UK Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand have all been Chrisitan nations for the past 300 years or so. Oh and I do not want to forget the Philippines too. They too have been a Christian nation and yet they have had Typhoons after typhoon and earthquakes and mudslides. Where was god in all of this?

Like President Duterte said, the god of the Christians is a stupid god. And I must agree!

Your god can’t stop any of these things. Your Grace keeps going to war and disasters keep coming upon your lands. And you are called a Christian nation.

I call SKUBALA the exact same way the Apostle Paul did on those calling themselves Christian. I will let you look up the word in Greek.

Yes, I said SKUBALA. All of you who call yourself Christian you are full of SKUBALA!

If the god you are praying to was a real god then he would have loved you enough to stop all of these disasters.

Opps. I forgot, most of those who claim to be Christian have never read the bible from front to back. They only study the last half of the bible. They are clueless as to how to solve these problems.

Many roll their eyes at the notion that Yehovah controls the weather. Instead, they blame Mother Nature or weather systems, global warming, climate change or just bad luck. They deny any Bible-based understanding of why natural disasters occur. But they are not natural at all, they are Yehovah sent.

But what about those who do believe and pray for an end to droughts and other natural disasters? Yehovah does not and will not hear their prayers if they continue to sin.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;
because you have rejected knowledge,
I reject you from being a priest to me.
And since you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.

Can these Christians of these nations answer the deep questions? Does Yehovah listen? And why would a loving god allow these things to happen in the first place?

No Christians are not able to answer these questions because they have rejected the only one from whom they can get the answers.

When Eastern Australia roasts, Western Australia is flooding, why does this happen in a Chrisitan Nation? In similar fashion, the U.S. suffers hurricanes and deluges on one side and terrible fires on the other. Again why is this happening in a Chrisitan nation? There is an answer.

But because it is in the “OLD TESTAMENT” the Christian will not consider it nor do they understand it. Until we do understand it and then begin to obey, Yehovah says these unnatural disasters will continue. Welcome to the new normal.

Yehovah warned that He would inflict many of these disasters on us if we will not obey. On the other side of the coin, Yehovah also promises fertile lands and bumper crops.

Yehovah promised us in Leviticus 26:3

“If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely. I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid.

So why are we receiving so many disasters after one after another? Disaster after disaster and not the blessings?

We are reaping the fruits of our actions. But, wonderful blessings could be at our fingertips if we were just to obey!

Can Yehovha say it any plainer? Obey me, and I’ll make sure you never suffer drought or any other natural disaster! This obedience requires repenting of our former way—the way that brought on these curses. Imagine the impact on the Earth if mankind heeded in repentance and obedience!

Now notice what Yehovah says will happen as a result of not keeping His law.

Lev 26:14 “But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments, if you spurn my statutes, and if your soul abhors my rules, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, then I will do this to you: I will visit you with panic, with wasting disease and fever that consume the eyes and make the heart ache. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. I will set my face against you, and you shall be struck down before your enemies. Those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when none pursues you. And if in spite of this you will not listen to me, then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins, and I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.

Yehovah is very direct.  Break my laws, and I will send drought so bad it will seem like the sky is made of iron. A sky of iron and earth of brass sums up the parched Australian interior or the wildfires of Western USA and Canada.

Leviticus 26 has the answer to stop the wildfires. Lev 26 has the answers to stop the drought.  To end these unnatural disasters all we have to do is repent. Repent and obey Yehovah’s law!

Proverbs 28:9 If one turns away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer is an abomination.

Proverbs 1:22 “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing
and fools hate knowledge?
If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you.
Because I have called and you refused to listen,
have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded,
because you have ignored all my counsel
and would have none of my reproof,
I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when terror strikes you,
when terror strikes you like a storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when distress and anguish come upon you.
Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer;
they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
Because they hated knowledge
and did not choose the fear of the Lord,
would have none of my counsel
and despised all my reproof,
therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way,
and have their fill of their own devices.
For the simple are killed by their turning away,
and the complacency of fools destroys them;
but whoever listens to me will dwell secure
and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”

How many goodie two-shoed Christian says as long as they don’t bother me then it is ok when talking about LGBT or Pride. How many Christian LGBT fellowships are there now? Christian LGBT Priests seems like an oxymoron, a contradiction of words in the same sentence.

First, consider this proverb.

Proverbs 28:4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked,

In the Marikina district of Manila in 2018 they held their pride parade. Yes, this is a Christian nation. I am fully aware that Israel and even Jerusalem also has Pride Parades and Ycalls calles Jerusalem Sodom.

Ezekiel 16:46 And your elder sister is Samaria, who lived with her daughters to the north of you; and your younger sister, who lived to the south of you, is Sodom with her daughters. Not only did you walk in their ways and do according to their abominations; within a very little time you were more corrupt than they in all your ways. As I live, declares the Lord God, your sister Sodom and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done. Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy. They were haughty and did an abomination before me. So I removed them, when I saw it. Samaria has not committed half your sins. You have committed more abominations than they, and have made your sisters appear righteous by all the abominations that you have committed.

Rev 11:8 And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer them and kill them, and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.

Here is the caption under these pictures for this years 2018 Pride parade using 2017 pictures.

Currently on its 24th year, this year’s Metro Manila Pride March will be following the theme #RiseUpTogether. If last year’s #HereTogether was about spreading the love and support in the community, this year’s campaign is marked by a heightened awareness of the inequality that LGBTQIA+ people have to face every day. In response, Metro Manila Pride calls for the community to come together and learn from each other in order to become better advocates and create meaningful, longterm change.

Now do not forget the Philippines is the most Christian nation in all of Asia.

But this is what Proverbs says about tolerance of evil.

Proverbs 28:4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked,

Christians who do not keep the law praise those who are evil.

Now this years Pride parade took place July 13, 2018.

Then in August 11, 2018, one month later. Yehovah responded.

Tropical Storm Karding exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Saturday afternoon, but it spawned the southwest monsoon rains over most parts of the main island of Luzon, including Metro Manila, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

The continuous rainfall has caused flooding in many parts of Metro Manila.

Particularly hard hit was Marikina, where the river swelled to a level of at least 20 meters Saturday evening.

As rainfall continued on Sunday, many of those areas remained flooded.

Proverb 16:18 PRIDE goes before destruction,

and a haughty spirit before a fall.

HMMMMMM

But what do I know?

I could have just as easily shown PRIDE parades in the USA and then shown you the wildfires they are having after their parades and the same for Canada.

He may have saved his house this time but next month there are going to be mudslides now that the brush is all gone.

Yehovah is pleading with all of us right now. But few are listening. The 4th curse is about to begin and that curse is war. You can read in the comments section after many News Letters from the scoffers and fools delighting in the downfall of this ministry. They are praying for it.

Proverbs 1:22 “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing
and fools hate knowledge?
If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you.
Because I have called and you refused to listen,
have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded,
because you have ignored all my counsel
and would have none of my reproof,
I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when terror strikes you,
when terror strikes you like a storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when distress and anguish come upon you.
Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer;
they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
Because they hated knowledge
and did not choose the fear of the Lord,
would have none of my counsel
and despised all my reproof,
therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way,
and have their fill of their own devices.
For the simple are killed by their turning away,
and the complacency of fools destroys them;
but whoever listens to me will dwell secure
and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”

The longer we do not keep the commandments, the Sabbath, the Holy Days of Lev 23, and the Sabbatical and Jubilee years the worse this drought and wildfires and flooding and mudslides and earthquakes will get. These cattle are swarming the water truck because they are dying from no water. Once this source of food goes then what will you do?

Christians, as President Duterte said the god you worship a stupid god. It is time for you to repent and learn about the one true Yehovah who is able to send the rains so that they are a blessing and not a curse so that the land and the animals are blessed and not flooded or destroyed. That God is the God we at Sightedmoon.com pray to and teach about and obey. Will you be able to say the same thing?

We are about to go into Romans and expound on the grace that Paul talks about there. But I want to point out something that many of you will have just right over.

Proverbs 1:22 “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing
and fools hate knowledge?
If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you.

Yehovah is pouring out HIs Spirit on all flesh in these last days. Some of you have answered that call by obeying the commandments. You are now being saved by His grace. Christianity wants the grace, they want and claim to have the Holy Spirit that is being poured out but they have missed something.

Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual,

Yehovah’s spirit in you keeps the law and teaches you to keep the law. If the spirit in you is telling you the law is done away with then you have the wrong spirit. You have Satans Spirit who deceives the whole world and even you.

You see this was not a get out jail card as you assumed. It was a get out of my kingdom I do not know you, card. And it is going to be given to many who do great works in the name of Jesus. It will be given to many who cast out demons and who write great prophecies. It will be given to many who have done away with the law

Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

How do you get to know the Father? By the keeping the commandments.

John 14:20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

Many Christians assume they are going to be married to Yehshua and that they have the invitation to the wedding. Again read what you are being told about the 5 foolish virgins.

Mat 25:10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward, the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

Again we read about the wedding in Mat 22

The Parable of the Wedding Feast
And again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son, and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’ But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

All of the prophets have been killed by those to whom they were sent. Read the comments from the Christians on our News Letters.

Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests.
“But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. And he said to him, Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.”

And what is the wedding garment that you are to have on? Remember what Romans 7:14 says about the spirit that is to be in you.

Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual,

Now add to this Psalm 119:172

Let my tongue sing of thy word; For all thy commandments are righteousness.

The commandments are the very thing you have to put on, in order to be righteous. The law is what you must have in you in order to be spiritual.

Heb 10:16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts,
and write them on their minds,”

And again in Heb 8:10

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws into their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.

And it is this law that Christians will not keep and say is done away that Yehovah is going to write upon our hearts. The same law He told Jeremiah He would write on our hearts at the end of this age.

Jer 31:32 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

That law that Christian refuse to do is what Yehovah is going to write on our hearts. That law that they say is done away is the Holy Spirit that is to dwell in us. This Awesome law that frees us from the penalties of death as we obey it is our righteousness. And it the grace of Yehovah that any of us at all have been blessed to understand these things.

Many are called and few are chosen.

News From the Philippines

Last week I spoke with Matt Samario who came to the Philippines from the USA and has been assisting Bro Aike and teaching in Davao City up until last week. He is now leaving heading home to take care of personal business. We hope he can come back again soon.

In one of the topics, we discussed about the Feast of Trumpets and Shavuot and the Last Trump was the year that these things begin. Just in discussing them with him it was like a wake-up call to me just how little time is left.

We are now just about to begin the Fall Feast Season as found in Lev 23. It is the year 2018. Shavuot 2020 is just over 1 1/2 years away. “D-Day” for the middle of this 70th Jubilee cycle since Moses spoke with Yehovah at the burning bush. Let that sink in. Just over 1 1/2 years from now!!!

Trumpets 2024 and the start of the 10 years of Awe when Yehovah punishes the whole earth is but a mere 6 years away.

Shabbat Shuva is the year 2030 when we will be taken back to the land of Israel and The Two Witnesses are killed at Passover is just 12 and 1/2 years from now.

This is the start of the Great Tribulation on the entire earth. It ends with the locking away of Satan on the Day of Atonement in 2033. Again just over 16 years from now.

The Jubilee year of 2045 is also 26 1/2 years from now. This is the start of the 7th Millennium of rest. 26 years ago I was just about to leave the World Wide Church of God. I was about to begin my company and stop working away from home. 26 years ago my kids were not yet teens.

Brethren time sure does fly past us. Are you doing all you can right now to learn and to obey? Are you warning others so no blood will not be found on your hands?

My Brother Aike Macias has come to understand this and is working with us to reach out to the people of the Philippines. I would like to share his latest update about the things that have been going on since we were there at Passover this year.

Many times we think the things we do or say do not add up to anything. We often look at what others are doing and think we have no part in it. But we all do. Your comments and thoughts do influence me and when I share a message some of those things are passed on. And I do not think I am of any importance and yet the things I have shared have been passed on and continue to be shared. But you just never know who it is that Yehovah is using and how He is using you to do His will.

On our trip to the Philippines at Sukkot in 2015, Bro Aike introduced me to Atty. Jeremiah Belgica on our very first day there. Atty Jeremiah was fighting against the SOGI laws his government was about to pass. I was there to talk about Baal Peor and how the LGBT movement was the same as when the Israelites were introduced to Baal Peor just before they entered the promised land. We were saying the very same thing and we became friends at that time.

I later would speak at the Yacht Club with the leading Bishops of Manila where I would meet Jeremiah’s father Bishop Butch Belgica wearing the hat.

It was during this trip as well that Bro Aike had me speak in front of members and staff that worked at the House of representatives.

You never know who is listening and who is not. But you do the job in front of you and you share the message Yehovah has given you to share. After this meeting, a few days later Aike got a phone call to come back to the House of Representatives. They had heard me speak about the Holy Days and wanted to draft them into the Philippines and make them the law of the land.

They asked us to help them with the draft of the Bill and we did what we could. On my last day in the Philippines on this 2015 tour, Attorney Jeremiah Belgica would come to say goodbye and help with the legal wording of the bill. The lady on the left above is Carmen Jimenez who will be speaking on August 21, 2018, at MLTC.

The Bill would pass first and second reading before it died on the floor of the House of Representatives due to the election in 2016 of President Duterte. You never know what will come from the words you speak on behalf of Yehovah.

John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Mat 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Isaiah 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
“For you shall go out with joy,
And be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills
Shall break forth into singing before you,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Attorney Jeremiah has recently been speaking to leaders of the Philippines about The Historical and Biblical Foundations of Federalism.

R-L: PDDS Manila President Francis Villegas, PDDS National President Greco Belgica, Senator Manny Pacquiao, partially hidden Mariano Villafuerte, PDDS National Chairman Atty Doy Bringas, Atty Jermiah Belgica (PDDS- Manila Chairman), 1Pacman Nominee Sir Nick Enciso, and Uncle of Ms. Jinkee Pacquiao Pastor Raul Moralizon.

After meeting us in 2015, Attorney Jeremiah would run for Mayor of one of the districts of Manila but did not win.

In 2018 I was given the distinct honour of giving the opening blessing for the dedication ceremonies for his daughter Victoria here with his wife Eunice. This was a whos who in Manila meeting.

At this meeting, I would meet other Christian leaders who work in the Senate, like Senator Win Gatchalian, a born-again Christian.

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,

On August 21, 2018, Bro Aike will be hosting a meeting at MLTC in Manila and sharing about Bill 6312 and the things that have been happening in the Philippines. We at Sightedmoon are promoting the ad campaign for this effort.

August 10, 2018

Shalom Dearest Sightedmoon brethren,

Once again, brother Aike Macias here updating you with current trends in the Torah movement in the Philippine Islands. As you know me and Joseph Dumond are good friends, not only that, Joseph and I are partners in bringing Torah revival in the Land of the Philippines, where I’m called to be a Torah ambassador of Yeshua. Since 2006 when I personally discovered the Torah through a messianic jew based in Israel, I have no doubts in my mind that following the Torah is the will of YHVH.

If you can just surgically open my heart, every beat of my heart its just Torah, Torah and Torah, I can’t help it, its there. YHVH had put this in my heart, It is He who had caused this, just as it is written in Jeremiah 31:31 “ In the final days, I will write the Torah in your hearts…so that everyone shall know YHVH…”. I know most of you who are reading sightedmoon newsletter had somehow the same revelation and passion for Torah, just like Yeshua our master is the living Torah.

I must admit to you, many times in my life spreading the Torah by teaching it to others can be somewhat stressful and had even come to a point of being kinda frustrating. But I have come to learn to overcome those obstacles over the course of time. This is a new refreshing time of revival because after 12 years of doing this work right here in the Philippines, somehow we are seeing the fruits of our labor, just as it is written, “ our labor is not without fruit in the LORD,” ( 1 Cor. 15:58).

The work of spreading Torah is unstoppable because its YHVH’s work. This is bigger than all of us can think about, just as it written, Isa 11:9-11  “ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Yehovah, as the waters cover the sea.  (10)  And in that day there shall be the Root of Jesse standing for a banner of the people; to Him the nations shall seek; and His resting place shall be glorious.  (11)  And it shall be in that day, the Lord shall again set His hand, the second time, to recover the remnant of His people that remains, from Assyria and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Persia, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the Islands of the sea.”

You see, prophetically between now and the future millennial kingdom, the Torah knowledge will cover the earth. In fact, the Torah will be the constitution of YHVH’s people in the millennial kingdom. So we are in the right movement! Our labor then will not be in vain. We are doing something that will last forever. So it’s all going to be worth it. As Joseph Dumond taught us last time he was in the Philippines Last Passover day celebration conference on 2018, he taught us the Philippines has a big role to play in the end times. That the Islands are waiting for the Torah as prophesied by prophet Isaiah thousands of years of ago. By the way, the Philippines is composed of something like 7000 islands.

Isa 42:12  Give glory to Jehovah and declare His praise in the islands.

Isa 42:4  He shall not fail nor be discouraged until He has set judgment in the earth; and the islands shall wait for His Law-Torah.

All the signs are here to prove this is so true. Latest news from the Philippine house of Senate.

Where in fact we also have a pending bill at the house of Congress house bill 6312 declaring the 7 feasts of Leviticus a national holidays in the Philippines for the unity of all believers. Where in the world this is happening? So it’s more fun doing Torah in the Philippines.

www.congress.gov.ph/legisdocs/basic_17/HB06312.pdf

Our brethren at the Philippine House of Congress are still fighting for it. Our ministry is fighting for it by spreading the awareness of it among the Torah communities as well as among the different Christian groups around the country, especially in the greater Manila area.

In fact, on August 21, we are conducting a seminar for the public in the Manila area regarding this campaign for house bill 6312. Right now Joseph Dumond is helping us for the ads campaign in facebook for this event, so we can gather more people to respond.

Since last year 2017 till now we are constantly on the advancing mode non-stop praying aand workingfor the materialization of this vision, that is to proclaim the torah among the filipino people who live across the islands.

There are three major islands in the Phillipines, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Since 2006 to 2015 our ministry was just focusing on Islands of Luzon more particularly in the cities Manila Laguna, cavite and nueva ecija such as Cabanatuan.

To date, we have like 18 congregational partners in several cities in southern and northern Luzon. These congregations are our friends and brothers, Keeping the biblical 7th day sabbath and the annual 7 festivals of YHVH. Our God is great. Joseph Dumond had witnessed the commissioning of the pastors leaders last Pesach 2018 conference who from a formerly Pentecostal Sunday keeping background but now are into the torah. In the said conference we all agree that Joseph Dumond of sightedmoon.com will be our official prophecy expert consultant, that means we follow his teachings on the sabbatical and jubilee year cycle and its implication in end times prophecies.

Since the last quarter of 2017 till this time, we are focusing on the Islands of Visayas and Mindanao, where I came from.

Our  father YHVH led me to bring brother Joseph Dumond in Mindanao for the first time. Now the torah work has begun there. I remember that time when Joseph Dumond was teaching about the curses for disobeying the sabbatical years, there was an earthquake as he spoke that hit Davao at that time. A confirmation from YHVH?

Apostle Paul taught us a principle,

1Co 3:6  I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

1Co 3:7  So then neither is he who plants anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

1Co 3:8  So he planting, and he watering, are one, and each one shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.

1Co 3:9  For of God we are fellow-workers, a field of God, and you are a building of God.

1Co 3:10  According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let every man be careful how he builds on it.

1Co 3:11  For any other foundation can no one lay than the one being laid, who is Jesus Christ.

1Co 3:12  And if anyone builds on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble,

1Co 3:13  each one’s work shall be revealed. For the Day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try each one’s work as to what kind it is.

1Co 3:14  If anyone’s work which he built remains, he shall receive a reward.

The above verses are self explanatory, Joseph Dumond help us planted the seed there in Davao with the hungry people for the truth, I watered it by following up on them with more teachings, I have two trips already in Mindanao but it’s all worth it. Some of you reading now have  supported sightedmoon financially by donating and sightedmoon  in return supported the expenses that was incurred during these torah missions trips in Mindanao as well as Visayas Islands.

Last feast of Pentecost the event was successful, hundred of souls from different Christian groups had celebrated the feast of Shavuot for the first time in their lives. Please see the Philippine feast of Shavuot report below;

How All of us can Serve

In my recent 3 week torah mission trips just these month of July, we covered the area of Bohol Islands, notice the brethren there are kneeling down after they heard the message of the seven (7) feast of YHVH.

A group of Seventh day Adventist believers wanting to learn about Joseph Dumond teachings on his book the sabbatical years. After the whole day seminar, they had decided they are going to keep the coming fall feast in September according to the sightedmoon calendar. HalleluYah ! YHVH never let us down. He is always encouraging us that there are people in the islands in the Philippine just waiting for the truth of to torah to reach to them. And I in partnership with Joseph Dumond and sightedmoon, we will be bring the torah to them. If we don’t do this, YHVH will call somebody else. So, indeed this is indeed the purpose why YHVH had called us, for such as a time like this, together we can make this happen for the will of the Father to be accomplish in this part of the globe. It’s not about me or Joseph but Its about Him YHVH who had given us the task of this wonderful work of bringing the torah in this final days. It seems YHVH is in a hurry. I can sense it, really.

We also covered the tribal Christians mountain tribes of Bukidnon not far from Cagayan De Oro city.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKrf80BW7eM

We’ve also touch based with the greater ministerial pastoral groups there in Bukidnon.

In fact just yesterday I received a confirmation from Pastor Bernard of Bukidnon that the ministerial leaders have approved me as the guest bible lecturer for their September 11 thanksgiving celebration which happens to be the time of the feast of Trumpets. So I’m carefully  planning my next trip now. I can foresee that for the first time in my life, I have to be absent from my home congregation MLTC during the coming fall feasts, be away for the sake of teaching other groups to celebrate the appointed times of YHVH which a crucial point in our desire to teach torah to the masses of filipino believers. That’s okay MLTC can understand that.         Also, just this month of July 2018, we have touch based with our new contacts , the ministerial groups in Zamboanga Del Norte, Mindanao province.

I’m now writing from MLTC office in Manila and I’m pleased to report that something bigger than all of us. YHVH is orchestrating events behind the scene so that His ultimate perfect will for the filipino people will come to pass.

Just recently I was mingling with several pastors and bishops promoting the said house bill 6312, a message of unity.

Meanwhile, sons of bishop Butch Belgica, attorney Jeremiah Belgica and brother Greco Belgica Anti-graft commissioner of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration are one those few good men and Christian leaders who believed in the 7 Feasts of YHVH. Joseph Dumond is their friend as well. They have met and talked several times already.

Atty Jeremiah, Bishop Butch, Aike & Joseph

Joseph & Greco Belgica

Senator Manny Pacquiao, the 8 times world boxing champion and 8 divisions are now the Belgicas political allies.

Proverbs 28:19 “ without vision the people perish.”

Thus, we can see the hand of YHVH working behind the scenes to accomplished His will upon the filipino people so that our country will one day be declared by Yeshua in His second coming….  A sheep nation , an obedient one, obeying the holy appointed feasts of Leviticus 23. HalleluYah !

Mat 25:31  But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He shall sit on the throne of His glory.

Mat 25:32  And all nations shall be gathered before Him. And He shall separate them from one another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats.

Mat 25:33  And indeed He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats off the left.

Mat 25:34  Then the King shall say to those on His right hand, Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

This is the mission that is not impossible. Amen !

Yeshua YHVH servant,

Brother aike Macias ( FB aike mesias)

P.S . I encourage you to continually support sightedmoon.com ministry financially by your heartful & willful donations. Sightedmoon has been supporting this work in the Philippines bringing about the Torah to the masses of filipino believers. There are over 20 million born again believers in the Philippines. Doing Torah missions costs money, plane tickets, hotel accommodations, venues and food for the participants, etc. You can understand that. We are volunteers here for YHVH. Please do pray for us as we pray for you as well. YHVH bless us all ! YHVH IS GREAT ! GADOL ADONAI !

This week we also heard from Kenya and the group there.

Hi Joseph, First receive cordial greetings from my home group. Sabbath is past and We had a great day here.I had to come back after the sabbath with more on the mission here in Kenya. Of late we have made a couple of gospel outreaches since a last one that we had on a rural market place. Last Sunday we made one it bus stage along a highway which had attracted a cloud though it was so noisy due to touts. We’re planning for another next weekend. And we hope for guidance from Hashem. When we talked the last time if I can recall vividly you informed me you may not be able to visit in the near future but I’ve shelved my ambition to be ordained. That’s not important anymore but there is a very serious danger about this as there is a bill about the was religious groups in the country. Its a serious issue for one to have gathering not legally constituted or without a recognizable leadership eg a registered leadership. And since there are adversaries esp among from whom we stemed from we know of there hated becoz of correcting them boldly. Also ,we are aware of a looming tassel if any of our group may die.The law may not allow us conduct a burial. The law of Kenya is like in other nations around. Though you may not be seeking the messianics our group feels you should not abandon us in this. You know though few in number they are completely part of you. You Should know that their pledge is to go with you. Joe they understand there is not one in the whole globe with the whole truth like sightedmoon, and we’re not backtracking. Yehovah bless you. If we’re to remain few and without a formal without office we will remain steadfast. We hold your teaching dear to our souls. Thank you so much Joe. We can only pray for you. Yehovah kindly bless the ministry of sighted moon. Do you know you have added another milestone to our faith?. That is Lk 24:1 which has put more on the feast of Shavuot being always on a Sunday. The morrow after the sabbath was the first day of the weeks (shabbaton).Again thank Joe for continuing to open my eyes to see the wonderful message of Torah.By the way where is that complete truth taught but by you. You’re blessed grandpa. Keep the ambers on. Lastly you taught the relationship between Yehovah and Yehshua(Deut 6 :1). Continue directing the Brethen to the old paths. Shalom!

Fulfilling the Law

I want to share another teaching that I asked Pauline Benges to do. Pauline has been a great help to me in monitoring and helping to run the sightedmoon facebook page. You too can like us or follow us at https://business.facebook.com/sightedmoon/

Pauline had posted a meme and I asked her about it. Prove All Things is the motto at Sightedmoon.com Here is her response. It is a great example of how to go about researching a subject. I pray others will become similar and dig deeper to search out the truth.

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law
Before we begin, please note that there is a lot of reference to Hebrew and Greek text in this article. To make it easier to read wherever possible the Greek script has been removed leaving the English letters, and the Hebrew letters have been replaced with the equivalent in capitalised English letters e.g. A = Alef, U = Uau/Vav, hS = Shin, sT – Zadi, T = Tav/Tau etc. Hebrew reads right to left so a word spelt Alef, Mem, Nun will appear as NMA.
Mat 5:17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
In my work with Sighted Moon I correspond with many Christians who repeatedly quote Mat 5:17 as one of the reasons why they don’t have to keep the Sabbath or other ‘Laws of the Old Testament’. This often goes hand in hand with “We don’t have to do the law because Jesus did it for us” and “We’re now under grace and have a new Covenant with better promises” etc.
Recently I came across a meme that said:
“I did not come to destroy but to fulfil. Fulfil in Hebrew is Lekayem, meaning to uphold or establish. Yahusha came to uphold His Fathers’ commandments not abolish them. Matthew 5:17”

I liked what the meme said so I shared it to my Facebook page without actually checking the word ‘Lekayem’. When Joe challenged me about the meme, I had to go digging to see if I could prove the word ‘Lekayem’. Initially I thought, ‘Well this is going to be easy’. But a week later and it hasn’t been as easy as I thought! So here’s what I found…

First off, I need to figure out what the Hebrew word for ‘fulfil’ is. In the KJV+ we find the Greek word used is ‘pleroo’ with a definition of …
G4137
pleroo
play-ro’-o
From G4134; to make replete, that is, (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.: – accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply.

Total KJV occurrences: 90

G4134
pleres
play’-race
From G4130; replete, or covered over; by analogy complete: – full.

Total KJV occurrences: 17

G4130
pletho
play’-tho, pleh’-o,
A prolonged form of a primary word ????? pleo? (which appears only as an alternate in certain tenses and in the reduplicated form of ????????? pimple?mi to “fill” (literally or figuratively [imbue, influence, supply]); specifically to fulfil (time): – accomplish, full (. . . come), furnish.

Total KJV occurrences: 24

Definition of ‘replete’ from Dictionary.com is:
adjective
abundantly supplied or provided; filled (usually followed by with): a speech replete with sentimentality.
stuffed or gorged with food and drink.

complete: a scholarly survey, replete in its notes and citations.

Notice the words used in the definition of ‘pleroo’ and it’s root. Words like: replete, cram, level up, satisfy, finish, full, covered.  We’ll come back to this in a bit.

Personally, I find it curious that the Greek word used should have a definition like this. But let’s continue.

From here I went to the Old Testament to find the Hebrew word for ‘fulfil’. Would I find the word ‘Lekayem’ or a word that sounds like ‘Lekayem’?

As you have just read for yourself, I was not able to find the word, nor a word that sounded like ‘Lekayem’. Oh no! I’ve been duped! I should have known better than to post a meme with information that I hadn’t yet proved to myself. What am I going to tell Joe? I have ‘Prove all things’ ringing in my ears!

Well, not wanting to embarrass myself, I wasn’t going to give up yet. So I contacted the only Jewish friend I have and asked for her help, which she was happy to do, but it was going to take a day or two. So in the mean time I continued my search. Perhaps if I read all the cross references to Matthew 5:17 it will give me deeper understanding and help me to find the correct Hebrew word and figure out how the meme maker came to use the word ‘Lekayem’ to mean ‘uphold or establish’.

Below is the passage from Matthew 5:17-20 followed by the footnotes and cross references

Mat 5:17  “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete. 18  “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.(f) Footnote: (f) Luk 16:17.  19  “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.  20  “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, (g) you shall by no means enter into the reign of the heavens. Footnote: (g) See also Mat 23:28, Mat 15:3-9, Mar 7:7-13, Joh 7:19, Act 7:53, Rom 2:23-27, Gal 6:13.

Footnotes:

Luke 16:17  “And it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away than for one tittle of the Torah to fall.

Matthew 23:28   “So you too outwardly indeed appear righteous to men, but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Matthew 15:3-9   (TS2009)

3  But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Elohim (a) because of your tradition? Footnote: (a) See footnote Mat 5:20. 4  “For Elohim has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ Exo 20:12, Deu 5:16 and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ Exo 21:17, Lev 20:9. 5  “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,” 6  is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Elohim by your tradition. 7  “Hypocrites! Yeshayahu rightly prophesied about you, saying, 8  ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. 9  ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’ ”(b) Isa 29:13. Footnote: (b) Mar 7:7, 2Ki 17:19.

Mark 7:7-13  And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men. (a) Isa 29:13. Footnote: (a) Also see 2Ki 17:19 and Mat 15:3-9. 8 “Forsaking the command of Elohim, you hold fast the tradition of men.” 9  And He said to them, “Well do you set aside the command of Elohim, in order to guard your tradition. 10  “For Mosheh said, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ Exo 20:12, Deu 5:16 and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ Exo 21:17, Lev 20:9. 11  “But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me, is Qorban (that is, a gift),” 12   you no longer let him do any matter at all for his father or his mother, 13  nullifying the Word of Elohim through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such traditions you do.”

John 7:19  “Did not Mosheh give you the Torah? Yet not one of you does the Torah! (c) Why do you seek to kill Me?”  Footnote: (c) See footnote Mat 5:20.

Acts 7:53  who received the Torah as it was ordained by messengers, but did not watch over (d) it.”  Footnote: (d) See Mat 5:20.

Romans 2:23-27 You who make your boast in the Torah, through the transgression of the Torah do you disrespect Elohim? 24  For “The Name of Elohim is blasphemed among the nations because of you,” Isa 52:5 as it has been written. 25  For circumcision indeed profits if you practise the Torah, but if you are a transgressor of the Torah, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.  26  So, if an uncircumcised one watches over the righteousnesses of the Torah, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned as circumcision?  27  And the uncircumcised by nature, who perfects the Torah, shall judge you who notwithstanding letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the Torah!

Galatians 6:13  For those who are circumcised do not even watch over the Torah, but they wish to have you circumcised so that they might boast in your flesh.

And in my opinion it’s the same situation today with many Christians. They will say they are respecting their father and/or mother, which is Commandment #5, by honouring them one day per year on Mother’s or Father’s Day. But as for Commandment #4; in which we are commanded to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy, the same as Messiah did …. they will give any one of several excuses as to why they don’t need to rest on the Saturday Sabbath.

In the words of our Messiah… ‘Hypocrites! This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.  ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’ Matt 15:8-9.

So anyone who says that resting on the Sabbath is Old Testament and not applicable today and that Jesus did it for them or that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath and that we can rest in Him; is a hypocrite and is speaking heresy against Yehovah’s Commandments. They are leading the hearers down the broad highway to hell and eternal destruction.

How is it that we know the Commandments and Laws are for now and into the future?

Gen 26:5  because Abraham obeyed My voice and guarded My Charge: My commands, My laws, and My Torot.” (a) Footnote: (a) Torot – plural of Torah, teaching.
Hebrews 11:8  By belief, Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he was about to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
James 2:21  Was not Abraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yits?aq his son on the slaughter-place?
Abraham had faith and did the works and it was credited him as righteousness.

Jas 2:20-24  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21  Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Lev 20:7  Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

1Pe 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
And in Yehovah’s Eternal Kingdom we find the laws being observed.

Isa 2:1-5  The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.  3  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4  And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 5  O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Luke 16:17   “And it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away than for one tittle of the Torah to fall.
I realise these scripture references aren’t exhaustive of the subject of the Commandments and Torah being applicable today and into the future, but they certainly give an indication of their eternal nature. I’d encourage any reader of this article to search out the Scriptures to find the answer to the question, ‘What, when and where is the Kingdom of Heaven’.
Now getting back to the search for ‘Lekayem’. I’ve heard back from my friend and after much searching, she has found something!
In her own words…
“Le Chem is sustaining substance…..eg bread…….but it might be le chai’m, the sustainer and life of the people.  Here they have   LeKayem……   doesn’t compute so far. Am hunting for what he may mean.”

“Well Mathew 5:17 certainly says what it does in English and that is correct to Hebrew understanding………I could not think of where he can relate that ‘word’ and so have checked The Delitzsch Hebrew Gospels, George Howard’s Hebrew Matthew and other sources and cannot find the word he has mentioned. Sadly there are a lot of “know it alls” that don’t, and sadly a lot of them in the Messianic movement.  Its very sad.  Some are taking the Aramaic as being Hebrew which it is not.  Although Genesius who was the first compiler of Hebrew in Modern Times, did borrow on the Aramaic at times and there’s “the rub” as they say.”

“Ah   Spotted something in another Hebrew English Bible……..and it is at the end of verse 17 where one finds MYQL meaning fulfill. Sounds out to be Le khe ye m.    MYQ  is to affirm to perform, sustain, provide, bring life to, prove.” Dictionary used was: The New Bantam-Megiddo Hebrew and English Dictionary. Page 233.

Alright, we’re on to something! I’d been using Google Translate and getting some random translations that weren’t helpful to my search e.g. MYQL translated at ‘polishes’.  So I found some others which I’ll quickly mention here, because this wasn’t as easy as I thought it was going to be. Some digging is required. What I was experiencing was; when a Hebrew word was put into the online translator/dictionary, sometimes I’d get a very unexpected result in English. For example when you enter QUYM into doitinhebrew.com the translation results come from different sources the Bing result is ‘Lines’, the Reverso.net translation is ‘Lines’ but the Morflix.co.il result is: Verb: to be fulfilled, to be observed, to be implemented. If you enter QUM the translation in English is ‘get up’ but the Morfix.co.il result says to wake up, to get up ; to arise, to stand up ; to be established, to be built ; to come into being, to be realized (a dream, plan, prophecy); (flowery) to persevere, to endure ; MUQ – (flowery) arise.)

Next I asked my friend to take a photo of the page and send it to me but instead I received this…

As Joe would say… Hmmmm.

Ok, this means I have to try and find it online or in an app like e-Sword. My friend is telling me it’s called the Jerusalem Bible. The only Jerusalem Bible I could find was a Catholic Bible in English. I spent nearly a whole day searching but I could only find the book for sale on the Bible Society website. It was not available as an online searchable database or in an app. This means I only have my friends’ word for it, that the word ‘Lekayem’ is in the Hebrew-English Bible.  Hmmmm.

I contacted my friend and asked her if we could meet, so that I could view the Scripture myself. We met for coffee the next morning and she brought with her not only the Scriptures but also pages of information about the Hebrew language and practice sheets for me use. Turns out she’s a student of the language too.

We discussed the importance of this word MYQ (Lekayem) and the significance to believers.

You see the root word MYQ (MUQ) is defined in Strong’s as
H6965
MUQ
qum
koom
A primitive root; to rise (in various applications, literally, figuratively, intensively and causatively): – abide, accomplish, X be clearer, confirm, continue, decree, X be dim, endure, X enemy, enjoin, get up, make good, help, hold, (help to) lift up (again), make, X but newly, ordain, perform, pitch, raise (up), rear (up), remain, (a-) rise (up) (again, against), rouse up, set (up), (e-) stablish, (make to) stand (up), stir up, strengthen, succeed, (as-, make) sure (-ly), (be) up (-hold, -rising).
Total KJV occurrences: 628
And the definition from doitinhebrew.com is:
Adjective: existent, alive ; binding, valid
Verb: to fulfill, to realize ; to perform, to arrange, to organize ; to maintain ; to support, to provide for, to sustain; (law) to affirm, to confirm, to implement
(I note that the spelling seems to be interchangeable depending on where it’s found. We found the word in the KJV as ‘QUM’ and we found it in my friend’s Hebrew-English Dictionary as QUYM but it could also be spelt ‘quf, yod, mem’, ‘quf, vav, yod mem’,  ‘quf, vav, mem’ and even ‘lamed, vav, quf, mem, but they always come back to this same meaning in H6965… which is different to LMLAT which is defined in Strong’s as
H4390
ALM
ma
le mala’
maw-lay’, maw-law’
A primitive root, to fill or (intransitively) be full of, in a wide application (literally and figuratively): – accomplish, confirm, + consecrate, be at an end, be expired, be fenced, fill, fulfil, (be, become, X draw, give in, go) fully (-ly, -ly set, tale), [over-] flow, fulness, furnish, gather (selves, together), presume, replenish, satisfy, set, space, take a [hand-] full, + have wholly.

Total KJV occurrences: 251

And the definition from doitinhebrew.com is: Adjective; full ; to fulfill ; complete, whole ; plene (Hebrew spelling) ; (colloquial) satiated ; (colloquial) many.
Masculine; reaching (a certain age) ; TUALMB – upon reaching (a certain age). Verb; to weary, to make tired.
Did you notice that? One is ‘alive’ and the other is ‘satiated’.
My friend and I really enjoyed our conversation about Yehovah and His word and before we parted, she very kindly blessed me by giving me the Bible she’d brought for me to view. I’m so very grateful for her kindness. What a great blessing to receive the gift of a Hebrew-English Bible!
After I returned home, from coffee in the city, I continued my search … But with a new question… what was the word used in the original text? Could I find it? And… who’s Thomas Nelson and why did he use a different word for ‘fulfil’ than the other manuscripts?
So much for thinking the question from Joe about ‘Lekayem’ was going to be easy to answer! Sheesh!
Turns out the name of the Thomas Nelson Bible is not the Jerusalem Bible, but written on the cover in Hebrew is ’Sephar Britot’; Book of Covenants. The publisher is Thomas Nelson Inc. Not Thomas Nelson the person, but a publishing house. They made a video about the history of Thomas Nelson.

I went to their website to see if I could find any information about how Sephar Britot translation was done and who by. Usually it’s a team that works on a translation and they have criteria they work to. This can usually be found printed in the front of the Bible, but not this one. The Sephar Britot opens with two title pages, next page states: the copyright, New King James version, copyright 1982, Thomas Nelson Inc., ISBN 965-431-015-5, printed 2006, table of contents, then the book of Genesis begins (printed English and Hebrew parallel columns).
Sadly, the publisher’s website wasn’t much help with regard to any specific information about the Sephar Britot, but I did find some general information about the New King James Version (NKJV). The following is a short quote from their website. To read the complete text go to:
“The NKJV translates from the traditional texts of the Hebrew and Aramaic Old Testament and the Greek New Testament, and it has footnotes wherever variations are found in critical texts that would affect the wording of the English translation.
The translation method is “complete equivalence,” which is sometimes known as formal equivalence. It gives the meaning clearly in natural English while maintaining as much of the wording and grammar of the original languages as possible. Therefore, the match between the original language and the English translation is as complete as can be, making the NKJV ideal for close study. The NKJV was created using a painstaking translation and review process involving scholars in countries around the world.”
One can only assume that the same diligence was taken when they published the Sephar Britot.

Before we continue I’d just like to point out that there is a lot of information on different websites about these translations. There is particular debate with regard to the authority of the Shem-Tob aka Evan Bohan due to the author being an unbeliever Jewish theologian and polemic (anti-Christian) writer. I also found some websites which gave comparisons of manuscripts, highlighting variations in the text. But I never found Matthew 5:17 in any of those lists. You’ll find a list here concerning the Shem-Tob Hebrew Matthew… http://toolong.com/the-hebrew-version-of-matthew-shem-tob-matthew-shem-tov/

Something else I found that I thought was very interesting and that’s the Vatican’s Digital Library. If you’d like to view some of the ancient manuscripts then this next link will help you locate the item/s you’re looking for e.g. Hebrew Book of Matthew. This PDF contains manuscript reference numbers for documents in the digital library.

And here is the link to the Vatican’s Digital Library: https://digi.vatlib.it

Now getting back to our search for the Hebrew word ‘Lekayem’. The Hebrew words we were just looking at are giving us an overall picture of: complete, satiated, to become full, whole, to make tired and accomplish.

Where as the word ‘MYQ’ or ‘MUQ’ gives us an overall picture of: rise, abide, confirm, endure, lift up again, perform, pitch, raise up, make to stand up, maintain. And the definition from Morfix.co.il says; to wake up, to get up; to arise, to stand up; to be established, to be built; to come into being, to be realized (a dream, plan, prophecy); (flowery) to persevere, to endure; MUQ – (flowery) arise.)

It seems to me that the word in the meme, ‘Lekayem’, is the word ‘MYQ’ but perhaps it should be spelt ‘MYUQL’ using a lamed prefix. It’s my understanding that ‘Le’ in Hebrew is the same in French and means ‘the’.
H6966

Following are some other places where these words are found and it’s interesting to note that they all refer to something that will continue.

Ezr 5:2  Then rose up(H6966) Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.

Ezr 6:18  And they set(H6966) the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.

Dan 2:21  And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth(H6966) up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Dan 2:39  And after thee shall arise(H6966) another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

Lev 26:1  Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up(H6965) a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

Lev 26:9  For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish(H6965) my covenant with you.

Hab 1:6  For, lo, I raise up(H6965) the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs.
Those scriptures are only the tip of the iceberg. H6965 is mentioned 628 times in the KJV. H6965 (MUQ) and H853 (Alef Tav – the mark of the Covenant) are mentioned together 217 times.
Whereas the Greek word ‘pleroo’ means to finish, fulfil, satisfy and complete. And the Hebrew word ‘ALML’ means to fill, be full, be at an end, be expired and satisfy.
These two words are not in keeping with the eternal nature of Elohim and His Eternal Covenant and Eternal Laws.
G4137

ALML
male’  mala’
maw-lay’, maw-law’

A primitive root, to fill or (intransitively) be full of, in a wide application (literally and figuratively): – accomplish, confirm, + consecrate, be at an end, be expired, be fenced, fill, fulfil, (be, become, X draw, give in, go) fully (-ly, -ly set, tale), [over-] flow, fulness, furnish, gather (selves, together), presume, replenish, satisfy, set, space, take a [hand-] full, + have wholly.

Do you understand the difference between these two words, MUQ and ALML (or ple?roo? in Greek)? And how significant this is to all believers?

As I see it the difference is like this:

Pleroo/ALML (L’mala): A man constructs a monument from plans. He follows the instructions, fulfilling the plan to the letter and completing the project he says… “There you go it’s ‘fulfilled’, it’s ‘completed’!”. Now everyone can say ‘Jesus did it for us’. Now we can stand and look at what he built, we can bow ourselves to it and we can declare that we don’t need to do anything else because the plans have been fulfilled. Now that Jesus has done that for us, we can live under ‘grace’ and we can do-whatever and eat-whatever we want. Everything is forgiven now that the plan has been completed, leaving us with nothing to do in our own strength. He did it all. There is nothing for us to do so that we can’t boast.

MUQ (Lekayem): A man has the blueprint to build a hotel. The hotel will have many rooms, many facilities and special events. There will be hotel rules for everyone’s peace and safety, which are to be followed by all guests. The builder follows the blueprint instructions, fulfilling the plan to the letter, on time and on budget. After completing the project he advertises “Come and stay, use the facilities, attend the special events. But remember to follow the rules or you will be punished or removed. If you break a rule, please see management ASAP with your apology and repentance; then you will be given a pardon, also known as ‘grace’, so that you may continue to use the hotel facilities and enjoy a life of peace and safety forever.

Joh 14:2  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Mat 19:17  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mar 1:15  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

But I’m only a student. I’m open to correction.
Shalom from Pauline
I would like to have the final word. LOL
Let those who want to quote Mathew 5 read it all in context. They claim that Jesus fulfilled the law so they do not have to now follow the law. Now read the rest of what is written there.
Mat 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
I have chosen to do the commandments and to teach them to others.  It is my hope to be called Great in the Kingdom of Yehovah. Can you say the same thing?

We have been showing you these past few weeks about the teachings of Paul and how they were as Peter said twisted by those who know not the Torah.

2Pe 3:16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

We are showing you how many in the Christian world use grace in order not to keep the law and this is where they have erred. At the same time as we do this, this teaching will cause many in the Messianic groups to become uncomfortable. I know I am when I study this. Why? Because we too, need to be reminded that we are not saved because we keep the Torah. There is a line that some cross between keeping Torah for the Love of Yehovah and keeping all the other laws to justify themselves.

Never forget Yehovah called you while you were not keeping the Law, while you were still keeping the pagan holidays. He called you when you were doing that!. That is the grace He showed to you. Think about this as you read.

Last week we covered the controversial subject of grace and law and we focused on Galatians and we showed you that Paul did not do away with the law. What we did show you was that if you use the law to gain your salvation you are in error. We also showed you that if you throw out the law and do not obey it, and claim that you are saved by grace alone that this too, is in error.

Indeed you are saved by the grace of Yehovah and that alone, but you still need to obey the commands because you love Yehovah.

This week we will look at the controversial scriptures in Romans and show them as they should be.

I am again going to quote from Torah Rediscovered by Ariel and D’vorah Berkowitz. Pages 115-117.

The theme of Shu’al’s letter to the Romans is similar to that of his epistle to the Galatians, only more comprehensive. The main topic is justification, or righteousness (the same root is used for both in Hebrew and Greek). In Romans, the rabbi is seeking to expound on the theme of Yahweh’s righteousness in all its various aspects. As in Galatians, he also must deal with the concept of the Torah, for there were some in Rome as well who sought to be justified or made righteous by following the system of law that they thought was the Torah.

Since the themes are similar, the traditions of interpretation of the “law passages” are also similar. The church has consisted mostly of non-Jews throughout the centuries, most of whom have neither comprehended nor appreciated the Torah of Moses. Therefore they have taken little care to interpret the “law passages” properly. There are two key passages in Romans which have been especially misunderstood by many exegetes, resulting in a gross anti-Torah sentiment among the people of Christianity.

The first is in Romans 10:4 ‘For Messiah is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.’ Many understand this verse to mean that Yahshua put an end to the Torah; that anyone who believes in Him no longer has any responsibility to follow the Torah, because Yahshua followed it for him.

A closer look at the Greek however reveals a different meaning. The Greek word translated “end” is the word telos. This word actually stresses the “goal” or the purpose for something. When used in this verse, we can say that Messiah is the “goal (telos) of the law”. Or, as Stern commentary translates it, “Messiah is the goal at which the Torah aims”. In other words, in the context, Sha’ul is speaking of people seeking the righteousness of Yahweh. They should seek it as revealed in the Torah and most fully realized in the Messiah. Stern writes, ‘The goal at which the Torah aims is acknowledging and trusting in the Messiah, who offers on the ground of this trusting the very righteousness they are seeking. They would see the righteousness which the Torah offers is offered through Him and only through Him.’

Thus, instead of teaching that through faith in Messiah the Torah is now done away with. This verse teaches that the Torah’s goal is to point someone to the righteousness found through faith in the Messiah. However, as a new creation in Messiah after receiving Yahshua, he is now able to live the Torah lifestyle through the power of the indwelling Spirit of Yahweh. In so doing, he is living out who he now is-the righteousness of Yahweh in Messiah. The Torah is the revealed righteousness of Yahweh. The Torah lifestyle is the living out of that righteousness. What is it that is written in the new-creation heart and mind? The very Torah of Yahweh! (Jeremiah 31:33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, ” I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.)

Now we will look at one of the passages most commonly used to demonstrate that the believer has no responsibility to follow the Torah: the seventh chapter of the book of Romans. To be sure, this is a difficult passage to understand completely. However, it can be interpreted accurately enough to confirm that it has nothing to do with eliminating a believer’s responsibility to live the Torah, to live the righteousness of Yahweh that he has become as a new creation in Messiah.

The key questions that we must ask about this passage are these: What has died? What has changed? Was it the Torah that died, or was it something else? We ask these questions because the first half of the chapter speaks about a death, a separation, a change that occurred when Messiah came into our lives.

We know from reading Mathew 5:17 that the Torah could not have died. It is Yahweh’s eternal Word! Therefore, something else must have died. What has changed is our relationship to the Torah, because of our changed relationship to sin. Before we knew Messiah’s righteousness by faith, we attempted to use the Torah as a means of earning righteousness, something it was never intended to be. Only one outcome could ever have resulted from such an illegitimate usage, and is condemnation-because such works-righteousness could never remove our sin.
When Yahweh brought us to faith in Messiah, however, everything changed. By faith, we transferred our trust from works we attempted to do ourselves to the finished work of Yahshua. Our new reality is that Messiah has atoned for our sin and made us new creations. In other words, we submitted to Yahweh’s righteousness found in Yahshua instead of relying on man’s righteousness through our own efforts.

Thus, our relationship to the Torah has changed. Before, because we were using it wrongly by attempting to earn our justification through following it, all the Torah could do was condemn us. Now, because we believe in Messiah and are trusting in Yahweh to justify us, the Torah has become something completely different. Just as its Author designed it to be, it is ‘Holy, Righteous, and good.” (Romans 7:12).

Or relationship to the Torah can change, according to Sha’ul, because the problem was not the Torah-it was sin. “Therefore, did that which is good [Torah] become a cause of death for me? May it never be! Rather is was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.” (Romans 7:13)

For years, many have been hearing a different interpretation of this crucial passage. Now we want a new voice to be heard. Listen to it one more time as a summary. This passage teaches that our enemy was sin, not the Torah. Because we are new creations in Messiah, our entire relationship to sin has changed. Therefore, our entire relationship to Torah has changed. Before Messiah, sin caused the Torah to be a book which, because we followed it in an attempt to earn righteousness, largely served to condemn us. But Messiah has shown us that we cannot earn righteousness. Rather, it is a gift from Yahweh to all who trust in the sacrificial atonement and the subsequent resurrection of Messiah. Hence, after we trusted in the Messiah, the Torah became for us what it was really meant to be all along: a holy, righteous, and good book.

Torah is Yahweh’s teaching to men about righteousness-what it is and how it behaves. The true believer (anyone who is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb) does not do in order to become. He does because he is what Yahweh has made him-righteousness of Yahweh in Messiah. Thus James writes, “I will show you my faith by my works.” (James 2:18) The true Torah is the walk of faith-faith and rest in the finished work of Messiah. “This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says, ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it’.” (Isaiah 30:15) Instead, “Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from Yahweh, and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to Yahweh’s righteousness’. Romans 10:3)

These words of Sha’ul summarize perfectly why and how man has perverted the true Torah of Yahweh into a system of works by which he believes he can establish his own righteousness. Read the rabbi’s words once again, and think about them carefully:

“Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from Yahweh, and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to Yahweh’s righteousness.”

James, fully comprehending this, declares, “I will show you my faith by my works.” (James 2:18) “The man who looks into the perfect Torah”-the what?-“the perfect Torah that gives freedom”-that gives what? Freedom! Freedom for what?-Freedom to be who we are now!-“and continues to do this, not forgetting who he is but doing who he is-he will be blessed in what he does.” (James 1:25, our paraphrase)

There is a righteousness that is by the Torah (Romans 10:5). It is a righteousness that is ours in Yahweh (Romans 10:3), and it is by faith (Romans 10:6). This is the Good News of Romans 10:16. But not all the Israelites accepted the Good News. Instead they, and mankind throughout the ages, have developed the concept of”law”. As we have seen, performance-based acceptance is a detrimental theological idea all in itself.

“Thus says the Lord, “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it; and you shall find rest for your souls.’ But you said, ‘We will not walk in it’” (Jeremiah 6:16) The true Torah is “a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.” (Proverbs 3:16-18)

When the words of life (true Torah) are changed into “law,” they cease to be the words of life.

We will next examine some of the passages in Romans from the book Hold fast pages 137-143.

Romans 2:28-29

For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

The question from this passage is, “Who is a real Jewish person? It seems to be teaching that anyone whose heart is circumcised is a Jewish person. Thus, the thinking goes, gentile believers in Yahshua, having their hearts circumcised, are “spiritual Jews.”

We do not interpret this passage to mean that gentile believers in Yahshua are “spiritual Jews”. The reason is simple. In the context, Paul is addressing the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, or the physical Jewish people. Gentiles were addressed in 2:1-16, Beginning 2:17, Paul began to speak directly to Jewish people.

In that light, Paul is making an important distinction in this passage. He s saying that although he descendant of Jacob is circumcised (in the flesh) that alone does not make him the kind of Jewish person Yahweh called him to be. To prove his point, Paul makes a play on the word “Jew”. The readers understood that the word “Jew” is a derivative from the word “Judah” (Yehuda), which means “one who praises Yah.” Hence Paul is saying that a descendant of Jacob who praises Yahweh from a new creation heart is a true worshiper of Yahweh. Mere physical circumcision does not make one’s heart circumcised. It is clear from the context that Paul was saying that the only way to receive this circumcision of the heart was to submit to Yahweh and receive His righteousness as a gift of grace through faith in Yahshua the Messiah. Any Jewish person who has done this is a spiritual, as well as physical, descendant of Abraham.

Romans 3:19-31

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. 29 Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, 30 since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

In this section, Paul appears to say that the purpose of the Torah (rendered “law” in just about every English translation) is to give one a knowledge of sin (3:20). That is true. However, that is not the only purpose for the Torah. This is where many Bible teachers become confused. The reason that Paul says in this passage that the Torah reveals sin is because he is teaching that no one may be justified by living according to the Torah. If one were to attempt to do so, the Torah could only do two things for him: 1) help to make him aware that he is sinful and desperately in need of Yahweh’s righteousness instead of trying to establish his own, and 2) reveal the Messiah to him.
Verse 28 states the issue clearly when Paul declares that justification is a gift from Yahweh and has no connection whatsoever to what a person does, especially what a person does concerning Torah obedience.

In verse 31, Paul affirms the validity of the Torah. He says that the Torah itself teaches the principle of justification by faith and faith alone. Receiving Yahweh’s gift of salvation (justification) is perfectly consistent with the Torah’s teaching on the matter (see Genesis 15). Because of this, believing in Yahshua does not nullify the Torah; rather is upholds its teachings.

Romans 4:13-15

For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified; 15 for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation.

Here is another passage that appears to teach the purpose of the Torah. Like the previous section of Romans, many Bible students read, “for the law brings about wrath” and assume that, along with revealing sin, the purpose of the Torah is to bring about wrath. Our comments for this passage are similar to those made in Romans 3. The only things the Torah can do for the unbeliever who relies upon his adherence to a set of rules in order to earn his righteousness, is help to reveal his sin, warn him of the impending judgment of Yahweh’s wrath, and point him to the Messiah.

This passage is not in a context that speaks about following the Torah as a lifestyle for believers. Like most of the passages in Romans, the context is a refutation against the attempt to use the Torah as a mean of justification.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

When doing any teaching from the pages of the books of Moses is suggested to some believers in Yahshua, the usual response is something like, “Does not that make me under the law? In Yahshua I am under grace, not the law.” This rather typical response is based on such passages as Romans 6:14. We think that there is a better way to understand this passage. First, let us quote a respected Bible scholar on the meaning of the phrase in question and then we will finish with our won comments.

C.E.B. Cranfield has shed some light on the meaning of these two Greek phrases, helping us to perceive what Sha’ul actually meant as well as to understand more fully his true stand on the Torah.

‘It will be well to bear in mind the fact (which, as far as we know, had not received attention before it was noted) that the Greek language of Paul’s day possessed no word group corresponding to our “legalism”, “legalist”, and “legalistic”. This means that he lacked a convenient terminology for expressing a vital distinction, and so was surely seriously hampered in the work of clarifying the Christian position with regard to the law. In view of this we should always, we think, be ready to reckon with the possibility that Pauline statements, which at first sight seem to disparage the law, are really directed not against the law itself but against that misunderstanding and misuse of it for which we now have a convenient terminology.’

We encounter the same dilemma in the Hebrew language. There is no Hebrew word which can easily convey the concepts of “legalism” or “legalist”. Thus Sha’ul, whether using his Hebrew-oriented mind or his Greek language, was hindered in his attempts to explain that legalism was not what Yahweh intended.

Based on this understanding of the Greek in Romans 6:14, we can say, then, that this verse is teaching, that because Yahweh regenerated us and caused us to believe in Yahshua, we now have an entirely new relationship to sin. We no longer rely on any legalistic efforts to earn Yahweh’s righteousness. Instead, we rely on the grace of Yahweh. Legalism and grace never mix! Or, to put it in slightly different terms, law and grace never mix. But Torah and grace go hand in hand.

One of the many implications of trusting in the grace of Yahweh is that we become new creations in Messiah. This means, among other things, that we now have a new relationship to sin. It is just as 6:14 states, “sin is no longer our master”. For the new creation person, this is most definitely true! Relying on legalistic methods to attain salvation could never change our relationship to sin. Only trusting in the grace of Yahweh could affect such a change. For those of us who are now a new creation by virtue of the new birth, our relationship to sin is forever changed. The Torah is not a legalistic document. It describes the lifestyle of the redeemed, and it was never Yahweh’s intention that obeying it would achieve salvation.

Romans 7:1-12

Or do you not know, brethren (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives? 2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband. 3 So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were aroused by the Law, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death. 6 But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
7 What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “YOU SHALL NOT COVET .” 8 But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive and I died; 10 and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in death for me; 11 for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me. 12 So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.
At first glance, this seems like a very devastating passage for those believers who desire to live by the Torah. After all, does it not say, “you were also made to die to the Law through the body of Messiah?”

Indeed this is a tricky passage. Keeping in mind two things will help to open up this passage for us in a more accurate way. First, as always, notice the context. These verses fall in the larger context of Romans 5-8. In this section of Romans, the rabbi from Tarsus is discussing some of the practical effects of being justified by grace through faith. As we stated in the previous verse, one of these effects is that a believer in Yahshua now has a completely different relationship to sin than he had before. He has died to sin and sin is no longer his master.

Secondly, verse 10-12 provide us with an insight into what Paul really thought of the Torah. As we can readily see from those verses, the Torah was not the problem. Sin was the real culprit in man. Let us see how this unfolds from this passage.

In 7:1-2, it becomes clear that before we trusted in Messiah, our problem was not the Torah, but sin! Sin is that which wrecked havoc with our lives. One of the miracles of the new birth-as this passage is pointing out-is that a believer does not relate to sin the same way any longer. Consequently, Paul says in verse 11, “for sin, taking opportunity through the commandment deceived me, and through it killed me.” Sin, not Torah was the problem. Human sin is what messed Yahweh’s pure word up!

Hence when Messiah comes into our lives we are released from our bondage to sin and any legalistic relationship we may have previously had with Yahweh’s teaching. That is what Paul means in verse 4 when he says that we were made to die to the law. Before Messiah came into our lives, we related to the Torah in a legalistic way. The only thing the torah could do for us in those circumstances was to condemn us by revealing our sin to us. That relationship to both the Torah and to sin had to change.

Thank Yahweh that in Messiah it did change! As far as sin is concerned, it was circumcised from us and relegated to our flesh. (Romans 7:17 Colossians 2:11-13) As far as Torah is concerned, once our relationship to sin was changed through our becoming a new creation, the real value of the Torah for the believer began to come to light. Accordingly, Paul says several positive things about the Torah in verse 10-12.

Yahweh’s intention that the Torah would be real life for His people can now become fulfilled. It was our own sin that caused the life of the Torah to become death in us. Now in Messiah, Yahweh’s real intention for the Torah can be fulfilled in us. Yahweh’s Torah is Holy. There is nothing about it that needs to be avoided. It is not evil. It is not unhealthy for Yahweh’s people. In fact the Scriptures themselves clearly declare, “These words are not just idle words for you, they are your life” (Deuteronomy 32:47) It is a covenant and a set of instructions making clear to Yahweh’s people how to live out their new creation lives in the righteousness of Yahweh.

Yahweh’s Torah is good. The Greek word translated “good” is agathei (?????) . It stresses both external and moral goodness, and usefulness and perfection. It can also be rendered “useful”. In other words, far from the Torah being a detriment to the believers life, it is useful and helpful to follow for our spiritual, moral, and ethical well being.

The Torah is righteous. It is the teaching about Yahweh’s righteousness. Moreover, being intrinsically righteous, it was meant only for those whom Yahweh has made righteous by His grace. It is not a vehicle to attain righteousness; rather it is a book of instruction revealing what Yahweh’s righteousness looks like and how to live out the righteousness that we now have become in Messiah.

Concerning the first part of this newsletter, a new set of Lesson Booklets have been quietly released in the Library section (https://sightedmoon.com/library/) of this website titled “THE CURSES” that reinforces much of this material which is covered in depth in the archived articles in that part of the library. So, if you are looking for yet another way to share and teach this information with others, it might be worth taking a look.
Also, it’s great to hear the news from the Philippines and Central Africa — please keep passing on that information!

    Hi Joe!
Natural disasters have been around since this little blue dot came into existence and that was eons before your bronze age Torah nonsense was written. Your fictitious god Yehovah is a literary character like King Lear or Hamlet. He was written into existence by human beings. Sorry to break the bad news to you Joey. Yehovah is about as real as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Hope you can sleep tonight Joey.
Your sacred Torah belongs in the dung heap of history. It is as barbaric as Sharia law. Since you brought up the subject of dumps, so should all the crap (like the pun?) you spew out week after week on this comical site be relegated to the great dung pile of crap. No Joey, your fictitious god Yehovah is not punishing nations with all these natural disasters. That is just life on this little blue dot.
Thankfully very few are actually buying this dung pile material an uneducated ditch digger pours forth every week. You should become a comedian. You may actually get more followers!
    Cheers,

I wanted to share how I thought the lesson book that was posted recently has helped me present the Torah better to a few people I been talking to. I very pleased to see more as I just been using first one. I guessing we have James again to thank or Pauline. Thanks guys.
To bad all these brilliant non believers really think their insults and jokes are amusing. Guess it just as important to control our emotions to lash back at them. That just might let them off easy for now. Instead we need to leave it in hands of the Eternal to deal with. Time really is running away from us all. Not be long before they will be kneeling and praying to that false god they have so much contempt for. That is a fact .
It seems that what I need most always gets covered from week to week. Pauline’s section was long and i need to go back and read a bit slower but it was helpful to me.
Thanks Mr. Dumond, Stay strong as you are changing lives every week and teaching us to do the same.

Shalom Steven and Spencer too. Pauline wrote this weeks article on fulfiling the law. It was her search and methodology that I wanted people to see as she chased down and researched everything to learn as much about this word as she could. And in the end that research showed her that the meme she had posted was not exactly correct.

    Brother Joe,
Love your work. I am new to your site, since Passover. I stumbled onto it by accident, if there is such a thing.
I prefer to use the term, I was lead here. On your article, Fulfilling the Law I would like to comment.
Matthew 5:15 I did not come to destroy but to complete the law, ( fulfill, bring to fulness
Am I to simple to understand this verse. First off , I am not here to criticize. I am here to post my comment
on the article, for what it is worth. I understand the labor and hard work involved in doing word searches, exhausting, frustrating, hair pulling, nail biting, etc.
My opinion for what its worth, probably not much ha ha, is that Yahshua said just what He meant. He did come to destroy the Torah and the Prophets, to bring them to completeness. Example, Matthew 8:17, That it might be fulfilled, Mat 12:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Mat 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Mat 26:54 “How then would the Scriptures be filled that it has to be this way?”
Mat 26:55 In that hour ????? said to the crowds, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to arrest Me? Daily I sat with you, teaching in the Set-apart Place, and you did not seize Me.
Mat 26:56 “But all this came to be, so that the Scriptures of the prophets might be filled.” Then all the taught ones left Him and fled.
    Plus many more scriptures.
I am not sure where I heard this, I must have, but it has stuck with me, Let Scripture interpret scripture, Do not take out of context what is being spoken.
As I was reading your article, I was having a hard time grasping certain points, let me rephrase that, I got confused. I was having a hard time staying on track.
Don’t take me wrong, word searches are very important part of study.
I have noticed sometimes in my search I overlook the obvious. Please, do not take this in the wrong spirit, I just wanted to share my thoughts on this subject. If I am out in left field without a clue, please let me know.
    Shalom

Just a suggestion, never send comments until you have reread them.
Again, in Mathew 5:17 article, I would like to add
Mat 5:18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.1 Footnote: 1Lk. 16:17.
Just because what has been completed does not mean the Torah is abolished.

    Shalom Joseph & Family,
Another great newsletter! Thank you all for doing the work. I especially love the section Get Out of Jail Free!
I don’t know how to do the kind of thorough research Pauline has done. Maybe I need to look for better software. Good work, Pauline. Thank you.
This Sabbath I have been taking care of my friend, Gary. His situation is life threatening so I ask all to pray for him. He is not a believer but is beginning to take an interest. You never know what Yehovah will do with people. The other night, when I first found out that he was sick I prayed. The following morning I went to his house in the city and he told me that at the time he felt a loving presence in the room and when he awoke he was MUCH better. I believe Yehovah is calling him out.
I can’t help feeling a deep sadness for all the people who refuse to listen but cling to lies instead. I feel inadequate to reach people and help them see truth. The scoffers used to annoy me and I had to struggle to respond with love. Now I just feel sad,- sorry for them. I pray that Yehovah will open their eyes and hearts.
Every week I am blessed by sightedmoon.com.
Thank you all. You are in my prayers.

I looked at MTOI.Org and the dates for fall feast (September) are off. The dates listed on sighted moon differ. I need to request my days off from work. Is there any change in the dates. I am still learning, so I apologize for having to ask. I want to follow what Yehovah says I am to do. I was listening to Rabbi B. some of his lessons are easy to follow. But again his dates are different. I have not gone thru all his lessons to determine how they are determining the dates. Also, at the beginning of your article you share , “This means that Rosh Chodesh (the first day of the month) begins at sunset on Sunday, August 12, 2018.
Does this have a bearing on the fall feast dates? Again, very sorry, but I need to make sure, as am requesting my days off tomorrow (8/20/2018) for the feast.
    Thank you

Shalom Annette, MTOI and the Rabbis are all using the Hebrew Calendar. They go by the conjunction of the moon. Sightedmoon goes by the Crescent of the moon to begin the month.
The New moon Society is run by Orthodox Jews and has had the Temple Mount Rabbis out to learn how to sight the moon. IN the video we have posted they say that this was the original method of keeping the Holy Days. And that one day they will return to this method. They also say they know the Hebrew Calendar is known to be off by as much as three days. That is like keeping the Saturday Sabbath on Sunday Monday or Tuesday and thinking it is OK. But Yehovah Does not agree.
On the Home page on the right-hand side is a button called The Feasts. https://sightedmoon.com/the-7-holy-day-dates-for-2018/ Click on it and it will take to all the dates for the Holy Days for 2018. But read it carefully as we are not 100% sure which days until we sight the moon. Hence the saying “no Man will know the Day or the Hour? Because the Messiah comes back on the Feast of Trumpets which we cannot know when it comes until we see the moon.

It getting scary watching things come to pass so powerfully in the world around us. Been watching the Sighted Moon.com reports of Dark Moons sighted on Facebook and MeWe. I saw one(Dark Moon) last Sabbath(Friday evening) after my son called me to go out look at moon. Was a orange dark moon but the smoke from fires made it look more red. Still a blood moon if that what you see. Maybe i can take both famine and war as the message I need to heed from witnessing it. I would rather take the deeper meaning of a promise this world’s evil is going to be dealt with swiftly. Think that gets lost on us as we try to share this with others. We forget there is salvation through obedience to the Torah commands. At least that my experience.
I was brought up in a strict PENTECOSTAL style church but been trying to honestly before Yehovah learn the truth of scripture since 2005. Certainly not as long as a lot of others but this road has been an intense testing of my loyalties of what I believe was truth and what the truth really was and is. I found so much how i was led to learn came from questions I asked myself about why the Father gave His titles to Yehshau along with other same kind of questions that bothered me over the years. That why i appreciate the work that goes on here week by week. Most all the questions have had been answered here with sound biblical proves to back them up
I remember what really opened my mind to all this as far as Jubilee cycles and the Daniel 9:26 prophesy were two short scriptures. Revelation 12 spoke to me after I read a thread(Gospels in the “Stars”, or”Constellations” maybe) Mr. Dumond sent me during a conversation we had. Then Genesis 6:3. So simple and more powerful than thousands of pages of commentary about their meanings. When we lucky enough to be shown the real translations I have learning disabilities so Yehovah has led me differently than most. Most my biggest awakenings happened after I was serving my community and trying to help others see what I did
I do love the word studies and all the great facts about history. It does throw off many that have not this kind of mind for such things
I’ve found the more simple you can share things with people, especially those not scriptural learned The easier it is to get them to want learn more. Proving where we are in time is key. Explain the 120 Jubilee count then show them how a prophetic week is relative to a 7 day week, then go to Torah commands about Sabbath observances and the lesson books. The lesson books are an awesome tool. Way less intimidating than seeing thick reference books and learning material to those who have problems reading and learning. I seen a few really get worked up just with the two scriptures i mentioned. It a work in progress but maybe someone else having difficulty in finding ways to simplify this message and not corrupt it in any way can maybe use. The poor have always been Yehovah’s people. So finding ways to serve and help them can only strengthen your understanding for everything This is just my opinion but I feel that where my calling is. What I was called out of. Important to get out on the streets talking with people. Not everyone has internet or ability to sit and learn on their own We really are etched into social classes that make it hard to understand where the other classes are or think. So bless yourselves and take this to them. I can guarantee that Yehovah will reward you for doing so!! May be a little difficult finding the way to reach them until we learn a good sales pitch but just keep it simple as possible. Then you can let them take the truth and seek it out for themselves. Maybe even they come looking to you for more. One never knows until you try !!!
My thanks to you Mr. Dumond, James and Pauline for another great article. Can not forget Mr. Aike Macias opening the way for the brethren to flee and find safety in hard times coming upon this earth after North America and all the rest of the Celtic peoples’ nations are destroyed. His work is more important than we can really see right now. So thanks to him also (:
Love out to you all from Truro , NS
