Are Your Clothes on Fire and Is Your Shame Exposed?

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom Family of Yehovah

I will bless those who bless you

Typhoon Jebi, was briefly a super typhoon and was the most powerful storm to hit Japan in 25 years. It came after months of heavy rain, landslides, floods and record-breaking heat that killed hundreds of people this summer.
Then Japan again was hit with two powerful earthquakes of 6.7 and 5.3 on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido.

One must ask what is going on in Japan to have so much havoc come upon it one after the other. Heavy rains for months, causing landslides and floods. this is then followed by record heat and then Tuesday Typhoon Jebi and now two powerful earthquakes.

You can see the original path for the most powerful Typhoon of 2018 was headed towards Northern Philippines. Then it turned

I wonder why it turned when it did.

President Rodrigo Duterte left the Philippines on Sunday afternoon, September 2, for his historic official trip to Israel. He is the first Philippines President to go to Israel.

Oh yes, the Typhoon began to change direction on What date?

In 2015 I went to the Philippines and shared with them the curses for not keeping the commandments of Yehovah. I was extremely well received and was even put on the 700 Club Asia which you can watch on our youtube channel. And we were back on The 700 Club Asia this year in 2018. I warned them then, of the war they would be going into unless they repented. I warned them then about more horrific typhoons that would come again unless they repented.

It was on this speaking tour in 2015 that I spoke in front of some of the members of Parliament in the House of Parliament. After that meeting, they thought it would be good for the nation to have holidays that recognised the Holy Days of Lev 23 as national holidays and drafted a bill for this very purpose and asked me to help with the wording.

It passed first and second readings before the house closed for new elections. That bill is now called 6312 and is now before the House of the Senate. Yehovah is working with people who have met with us and agree with our message and promoting them to positions directly under President Dueterte. And now this President has made a historic first visit to Israel.

I really have no clue why this typhoon changed direction. Nor do I have any idea why the Japanese are being hammered over and over.

But here is what the Philippines said about me when they knew I was returning in 2018.

Below is one picture from the horrific tsunami that hit Japan in 2011 after an earthquake off the coast of Japan.

Maybe someone in the Japanese Government needs to hear our message. Maybe those people in Japan should write to the President and tell them about our message and the effects that it seems to be having in the Philippines. Perhaps the Japanese should adopt the Holy Days of Lev 23 as part of their constitution.

Or they can keep going with the heat waves and flooding rains and earthquakes and tsunamis and blame it on global warming. What do I know?

Surprise-Your Clothes are on Fire

We are now just a couple of days away from the start of the 7th month. Or we are just 3 days away from the start of the 7th month. And this is why this is so exciting. Because we just don’t know which days are going to be the actual holy days. It is like a surprise party that you know is coming and it still catches you off guard, and surprises you.

The toy “Jack in the Box” that you and the kids played with over and over. You knew it was going to pop up and you kept cranking the arm until suddenly there it was popping out of the box to everyone’s surprise.

The Feast of Trumpets, Yom Teruah, The Feast that no one knows the Day or the Hour of, is about to begin on Tuesday or maybe Wednesday. We know the Feast of Trumpets will for certain be on one of these two days, but those who do not keep the Holy Days do not understand.

Matthew 24:43, “Understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into,”

What does this mean? It is a Hebrew idiom and because Christianity does not keep the commandments they have lost all notions of what is being said by Yehshua. Let me explain those things Paul and the Apostle John talk about without even saying it. Those who knew the Old Testament laws knew what they referred to.

Lev 6:8  And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,  Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering. It is the burnt offering for burning on the altar all night to the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.  And the priest shall put on his linen garment. And he shall put his linen breeches on his flesh and take up the ashes which the fire has consumed with the burnt offering on the altar. And he shall put them beside the altar.  And he shall strip off his garments and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.  And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it. It shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it. And he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.  The fire shall always be burning on the altar. It shall never go out.

There were priests assigned who would constantly watch over the altar fire and over the Menorah and were never to fall asleep during their night of service.  In order to ensure that the priests stayed awake, the High Priest would walk around the Temple looking for anyone that would have fallen asleep on duty.  If a priest was found sleeping during a surprise visit, the High Priest would take hot coals from the altar fire, place some of the hot coals in a fire pan and take them over to the sleeping priest.  He would then gently place the pan and hot coals under the sleeping priest’s clothing.

The priest’s linen clothing would soon be ignited in flames. The guilty priest would have no choice but to leave his burning clothes and run burnt, naked, and ashamed back home.  Quite a lesson not to fall asleep on the job or to be un-alert!  It was this practice of surprise visits that according to Jewish tradition got the High Priest nicknamed the “Thief In The Night”!

You are not to fall asleep. You are to be watching and waiting. But you can only do this if you understand the Holy Days and what they mean.

In Matthew 24:42-44, Yehshua says:

“Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.  But understand this: if the owner of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.  Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.”

The word translated keep awake,  gre’goreo [G1127]; is an active verb meaning: to be awake, to watch, to be alert, to keep watch, to keep watching, to be keeping alert, to stay on the alert, and to stay awake.  It expects active and concentrated behaviour, to be continuously seeking.  This is repeated in the phrase “Therefore . . . must be ready”: houtos hetoimos [G3778  G2092]; which means: to be especially prepared, ready. Twice in one paragraph, Yehshua commands us to be on the alert and ready, to know when the time is near, for he – our High Priest – may come upon us unexpectedly, exactly as did the High Priest when the Temple stood.

Mark 13:33-36 puts it this way:

“Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.  It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert.  Therefore, be on the alert—for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows in the morning – in case he should come suddenly and find you asleep.  What I say to you I say to all, ‘Be on the alert’!”

Three times in one paragraph Yehshua commands us to be on the alert and ready, to know when the time is near.

Yehovah has given you the 4th commandment. You are to keep Holy His Sabbaths; plural.

Lev 23:1  And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, The feasts of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim, holy convocations, even these are My appointed feasts.  Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work. It is a sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwellings.  These are the appointed feasts of Jehovah, holy convocations which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons.

The weekly Sabbath and the annual Holy Days and the Sabbatical and Jubilee years are those days and years when Yehovah is going to meet with us and it is on these days that we can expect to see Yehovah do things. But you must keep the Holy Days at the PROPER TIME.

Those of us who keep these Moedim with Yehovah learn the meaning of these days. The Feast of Trumpets was the day Yehshua was born. He came on a day and at an hour Mary was not expecting. This is also the day He will come back on. If Christianity were to keep the Holy Days they would know this and would not have all these lame rapture theories that come out every couple of years.

1Th 5:1  But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.

Those who keep the Holy Days know the seasons and understand the meaning of them. This is what we learn from keeping them. Christianity does not keep them and does not know the seasons and will be caught asleep when He comes or looking for some mysterious rapture that they have invented.

For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.  For when they shall say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape.  But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you like a thief.  You are all the sons of light and the sons of the day. We are not of the night, or of darkness.  Therefore let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be calm.  For those sleeping sleep in the night, and those being drunken are drunken in the night.  But let us, who are of the day, be calm, having put on the breastplate of faith and love and the hope of salvation for a helmet.  For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,  who died for us, so that whether we watch or sleep we should live together with Him.  Therefore comfort one another, and edify one another, even as you also do.

Paul clearly says that those who keep the commandments and this includes the Holy Days will not be surprised by this surprise visit.

Only those who are the members of the dead Church will be surprised. Christians who refuse to keep the Holy Days are part of this dead church. There are no exceptions. They are the walking dead.  Yehshua confirms this in his letter to the sleeping Church in Sardis:

Rev 3:3 Remember then how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments. And they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. The one who overcomes, this one will be clothed in white clothing. And I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Those garments defiled are those that are on fire due to the High Priest who catches you sleeping instead of being on duty. That High Priest is Yehovah. And your name is going to be blotted out. Again another theme during the Ten Days of Awe which begin at the Feast of Trumpets. May your name be found in the book of Life. But in Revelation, they will be blotted out. How very scary to be found asleep.

I mentioned that those in the Christian churches are the dead already.

Mat 8:19 And a certain scribe came and said to him, Master, I will follow You wherever You go. And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head. And another of His disciples said to him, Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father. But Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and let the dead bury their dead.

They are dead to the truth. They are dead to obeying Yehovah. They are dead to understanding the plan of salvation all because they will not obey. They are already dead and have not yet fallen down.

We are to pray that we will escape the consequences of falling asleep and be worthy to stand before Yeshua.

Luk 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts are weighed down with headaches and drinking and anxieties of this life; and that day should suddenly come on you; for it shall come as a snare on all those sitting on the face of the whole earth.  Watch therefore, praying in every season that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things which shall occur, and to stand before the Son of Man.

Again in Revelation, we read about what the High Priest does to those sleeping Priest who are derelict of their duties and fall asleep in these last days.

Rev 16:15 – “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed are all who are watching for me and who keep their robes, not having to go about naked and exposed to shame.”

Falling asleep is equivalent to wearing linen clothing and having hot coals placed upon those clothes.  And this is what Yehshua means to emphasize in the time of Great Tribulation when he warns that he will come like the “Thief In The Night”, burning up any clothing and causing sleeping individuals to walk naked and ashamed.

Rev 3:3 – “If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief. . . ”

The phrase “Thief In The Night” was a known Hebrew idiom during the first coming of Yehshua. it was a title applied to the High Priest.  The consequence of falling asleep on the job always applied to the slothful, sleeping, and unprepared individual, not to an individual who was watching, waiting, obedient and prepared.  The consequences for being asleep were, and still are, severe – that individual is left burnt, naked, and ashamed. His name will be blotted out.  The alert individual, however, is found worthy to stand before Yehshua, clothed in righteousness.  I hope you are alert, awake, and prepared.

And this is why we are watching and awake looking for the crescent moon to begin the Feast of Trumpets. Which night will it be seen on? Are you watching and then once you have been told and heard that it has been seen are you going to shout out the warning to all the others?

Yehshua was born on the 1st day of the 7th month. The Jews do not know what this Day of Shouting means. The Angels shouted on this day.

Luke 2:10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!

And it will be on this 1st day of the 7th month that He comes again to judge the world.  So be watching and as a watchman, you are to warn others of what is coming. So do your job and stop being asleep on the job. Time is about to run out because the High Preist is coming with fire.

This is not a Spectator Event

Are you in the game?

Do you wield the sword of Yehovah in righteousness?

Rev 1:13And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands. And in the midst of the seven lampstands I saw One like the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and tied around the breast with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And His eyes were like a flame of fire. And His feet were like burnished brass having been fired in a furnace. And His voice was like the sound of many waters. And He had seven stars in His right hand, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. And His face was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear, I am the First and the Last, and the Living One, and I became dead, and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen. And I have the keys of hell and of death.

Isaiah 11:4 but with righteousness He will judge the poor, and with equity He will decide in favor of the earth’s oppressed. He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth and slay the wicked with the breath of His lips.

Revelation 19:21 And the rest were killed with the sword that proceeded from the mouth of the One seated on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

The sword we are speaking of in this article is the same one that comes out of the mouth of Yehovah. The sword is His Scriptures, The Torah.

The Question I am asking you is this.

Are you in the arena doing the work or are one of those in the crowd criticizing and judging and having a grand ole time of it?

Again I am not talking about the Gladiators. I am talking about you and the things you do or do not do to further the work of Yehovah.

You can read the many comments we allow to go through from those of the Christian faith. Condemning and not willing to go by the rules of Yehovah. They point the fingers and mock the things we teach and that you obey.

Jas 1:20 For the wrath of man does not work out the righteousness of God.Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls. But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror. For he studied himself and went his way, and immediately he forgot what he was like. But whoever looks into the perfect Law of liberty and continues in it, he is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work. This one shall be blessed in his doing.

A doer of the word is one who Reads the Torah and obeys it. He is likened to a gladiator in the arena who is actually using his sword and his training, combating those who fight against the word of Yehovah. Those opposing the word of Yehovah are workers of lawlessness on behalf of Satan.

Matthew 7:24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Again these are those Christians who do not and will keep the 4th Commandment. They will not keep the Sabbath Holy And they will not keep the Holy Days saying that the laws are done away.

Romans 2:13 For it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the Law who will be declared righteous.

Those who claim to be Christians do not do the law. They will not and do not keep the 4th commandment. They are not doers of the law and will not be declared righteous.

James 2:14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

Many Christians claim they believe in Jesus but they have no fear of not keeping the laws. Even the demons believe—and shudder!

Those of you who are reading this… Are you in the arena and wielding that sword Yehovah gave to you. Or are you amongst the demons who believe but sit in the stands pointing at and accusing the brethren for trying to do a work.

Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.

Brethren we are about to enter the last Ten Days of Awe. The final chance this year to repent of our accusing evil ways; Of fighting and destroying the faith of those Yehovah is calling; of doing the work of Satan teaching others not to obey the laws of Yehovah; of ridiculing those who do; of speaking evil of others and all the other things we do that are against the law of Yehovah. It is time to get in the game and to be real players trying to help others learn the truth.

Yehovah told Joshua to be brave three times in one speech. Let me now share with you the very same sword Yehovah gave to Joshua that day and is now giving it to you.

Joshua 1:5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Yes, I enjoyed this newsletter. It was targeted, and on point. I enjoy the longer (the targeted ones) newsletters as well, but this one was, in one woman’s opinion, well done, a comfortable length and got to the point quickly. I am on board and ready to be a soldier for Yehovah. It takes preparation, and well thought out information (presentation) to share with others. I have done door to door preaching, it’s not an easy task to do. But this is now different to me because I have a TRUE understanding of how serious a time we are at in our present timetable, especially because of what I have learned about what is really involved with Yehovah’s appointed times. People can only make a decision on how to act in regards to this if they are provided information (not opinions, not scriptures out of context), in a logical manner, with historical/physical evidence (if available and applicable), so they can make their own decision and choose. I am so thankful I was persistent in my journey to search deeper. It led me to, now, keeping the weekly Sabbath (which I never did and struggled with it because of what I was formerly taught/teachings) and now being able to participate in the Holy Days coming up (first time). I realize there will be some out there that read my comment and this newsletter and disagree with the Sabbath and Holy Days and have strong push back/rebuttals. But – I respectfully suggest you step back and approach this subject and your research as if you know nothing at all and proceed with asking why and question more – read several Bible versions, ask where a particular doctrine began and by whom. Make a WELL INFORMED DECISION. Now, to be fair, I don’t agree with everything I read here or anywhere – I must see that it is in alignment with Yehovah’s word and his natural universal laws and his Torah. He is a God of order, right , not disorder. Anywho – well written newsletter. Really made me think about my next step.
Now I’d like to share – there is a online library called OPEN LIBRARY.COM
It’s fantastic for the bookworm and researcher (e-books). It’s free. Many scholarly reads (old and somewhat current) on the subject of religion(s), teachings and so forth. There are a lot of subject matters available. You will be surprised what you find and learn. Thank you.

    Shabbat Shalom from the Philippines.
Sabbath has come to a close here but it has been a very special day for me. This is the first time I have had an opportunity to share Sabbath with anyone. The Philippine people are so devoted. What a wonderful experience to be welcomed in their service.
    Thanks be to Yehovah!

The Lesson book section is provably my favorite section of website now. Thanks to all involved in putting these great tools up for us to use. They really helped me more than once present Torah to people in a very easy to understand way. Even to those with no biblical background. Good to hear there more there. I been using what is there for some time now.
It was a short teaching but very fruit fulled, thank-you!

Shalom WB, those of us watching and checking all the known people who look for the moon each night, have exhausted ourselves trying to find another witness or more. The moon set at 7:38 PM Jerusalem time. It was about 2 hours after this and a whole lot of discussion between each other looking for another witness and discussing whether or not binoculars should be allowed and if the other witnesses would pass the scrutiny of the court. (speaking as if we had a Sanhedrin) And also whether or not one witness was enough. So by the time we began to announce the moon not being sighted and no one made anyone else’s mind up, it was about 2-3 hours after the moon had set. Each group or person had to decide for themselves.
Now, what if someone comes forward to announce the moon was indeed seen. My question would be why did they not come forward for the sakes of all the rest of us immediately.
So if we have two credible witnesses come forward in the next day or two then I will have to reconsider our current position. As for now, I am basing my Holy Days on the information before me and it alone.
