Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,

Barley Controversy

Next week from Sunset April 20th to sunset April 21st will be the 14th day when the lamb will be killed for the 2nd Passover . That second Passover meal or if it is the first one for you will be after sunset Sunday, April 21 and into the Monday Day April 22, 2019. This would be the first day of Unleavened Bread. For some, it is the second Passover and others it will be the first Passover. The New Moon was not seen Saturday evening by two witnesses making Saturday evening and Sunday day the 30th day of this past month. This now makes Sunday evening and Monday, April 8 the first day of this month whether it is the second or the first for you.

And now the confusion will begin with various groups counting the omer from various days and then the Holy Days at various times.

This is why it is absolutely imperative for you as an individual to know and to understand how the calendar works and why it is done a certain way and why it is not done as others say. You must be an authority or you will become confused by all the many voices.

We have many articles about various aspects of the calendar and how to prove which one you are to use. Just go to this link and see if we have addressed your particular question and study it out.

Some of you may be wondering what state the barley is in right now as some have waited for the second month to keep Passover. Others like me would like to know just in case we got it wrong last month and we still have time to do Passover again. Please read over Devorah’s report. I think it is very honest and forthcoming.

Dear Friends,

Before I head off to look for the new moon, I want to quickly share with you our findings from the Aviv Search follow-up we carried out yesterday, Friday, April 5, 2019, a month after our previous Aviv Search.

We concentrated yesterday’s search in the Northern Negev, as this is where we found the barley to have been most developed last month. It was still very cool in the Northern Negev yesterday (the locals told me it still feels like winter) and all the fields and hilltops were covered with vegetation due to the heavy rainfall this year. We found that most of the barley we saw last month had been taken over by oats and other vegetation. Oats are known to thrive in cool temperatures and moist conditions. They are much more tolerant of wet soil than barley, which prefers dry growing areas. What we did find of the barley was hard dough, aviv, or ripe. We found countless broken heads, as once the barely reaches the later stages of development it ripens very fast. The heads were broken because wild barley is very fragile and shatters easily when it starts to dry, especially when hit by heavy rain and wind.

Now I know hearing that we saw lots of broken barley heads may make some people wonder whether they should have begun the year last month, so I’d like to try and address this. For those of you who may not be familiar with this question, it is based on Dt 16:9 which states “count seven weeks, from when the sickle commences on the standing grain, you will begin to count seven weeks” (Dt 16:9).

Let me interrupt right here and say this confirms for me that we did indeed keep Passover at the right time.

Some understand “from when the sickle commences on the standing grain” as referring to Yom HaNafat HaOmer (The Day of the Wave Sheaf Offering), as that is the day we start counting to Shavuot (Lev 23:15-16). This understanding would mean that one is not allowed to begin the harvest until Yom HaNafat HaOmer (The Day of the Wave Sheaf Offering). People who have this understanding would have started the new year last month, as not to risk losing the crop.

We at sightedmoon.com agree with this assessment and do believe that the barley must not be cut until after the Sabbath is over during the days of Unleavened Bread. Only then can the first fruits be cut and the harvest begins.

Others understand “from when the sickle commences on the standing grain” to be referring to the harvest period, rather than a specific day. This understanding would mean one is allowed to harvest the field before Yom HaNafat HaOmer (The Day of the Wave Sheaf Offering). People who have this understanding believe in waiting until there is a significant amount of barley which is at least in the Aviv stage before beginning the new year.

The reason why some people believe “from when the sickle commences on the standing grain” is referring to the harvest period and not a specific day, is because Lev 23:10 says “When you come to the land which I give to you, and have harvested its harvest, you shall bring a sheaf of the beginning of your harvest to the priest.” In other words, they were to harvest and then bring a sheaf from the harvest to the priest. The verse doesn’t say we need to wait until Yom HaNafat HaOmer (The Day of the Wave Sheaf Offering) before harvesting, it only says a few verses later that we may not eat of the new grain until Yom HaNafat HaOmer (The Day of the Wave Sheaf Offering) (Lev 23:14).

We at sightedmoon.com strongly disagree with this position. But we do appreciate Devorah stating both positions clearly and we thank her for this. We also want both groups to love and respect each of their brethren in the other group and pray for each other.

People who have this understanding want to be certain there will be enough barley ready to begin the harvest in time for Yom HaNafat HaOmer (The Day of the Wave Sheaf Offering), so they wait until there is a significant amount of barley which has reached at least the Aviv stage, before declaring the upcoming new moon Chodesh HaAviv (The Month of the Aviv). This is due to the fact that no matter how much we study the development of the barley crop there is no way to be certain how long it will take for the barley crop to develop, as it is based on criteria which are beyond our control. This is similar to the fact that we look for the new moon at the end of the 29th day regardless of whether our data shows that the new moon should be visible, because there could be an act of God, such as clouds or haze which will prevent us from seeing the new moon.

It is my hope that you have the information you need to come to your own conclusion on when to begin the new year and am including for you below the possible holiday dates of the 1st month for both March and April. Please keep track of when you decide to start the new year, so that you will know when to keep the holidays of the 7th month.

Please join me in praising Yehovah for the protection He provided us on our excursion. We hope that we have used wise discernment on our search and have successfully conveyed what we saw in a manner which will be helpful to those who desire to keep His holy days in their appointed times.

I want to thank Devorah for addressing those of us who began last month with the New year and why. Brethren this is why I get upset when we attack each other because of our views. We need to give each other time to grow and learn. Like the video, I shared last week of the two buck fighting and Satan attacking them. Do not get distracted by the fight. Stay focussed and learn and study to search out the truth.

We here at sightedmoon.com rest assured that we have begun our counting of the Omer at the proper time and kept Passover also at the proper time last month. Yehovah will confirm this by letting us see when the wheat is begun to be harvested. I suspect it will be a full month before June 8, 2019.

I must also condemn all those who are attacking Devorah, Yoel, and Nehemia. All of those who are claiming we should not listen to them because they do not believe in Yehshua the Messiah. All those who have turned this search for the barley or the new moon into a hate fest. I condemn you and you condemn yourselves by your own hateful speech. Shame on each and every one of you that are attacking and smearing those people who have taught us about searching for the barley and about the crescent moon.

Although I do not agree with them about the state of the barley to begin the month, I do not write hateful slanderous articles about them. It sickens me to read what some of you are saying about them because you do not agree with them.

I mentioned last week about the two bucks locked in battle and how they were killed by the Lion. And now you have ignored my warning last week and continue to attack and spread the hate. I pray Yehovah deals with you swiftly. You are hypocrites each and every one of you that is doing this. You want to take part in Passover and at the same time, you are crucifying these Jews who do not believe as you do.

Do you really think your hateful speech will in any way win them over? Or any of those who read your rants. SHAME ON YOU. You are no different than the antisemitic Palestinian. You say you love Israel but you hate the Jews and you who keep this way, this walk and yet you hate these Jews for having a different understanding of Torah than you do. You are not my brethren. You are not my brother or sister in this walk.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Satan, that stealthy stalking lion has perverted you and caused you to hate your brethren. You are no longer my brethren, but you are now part of the synagogue of Satan.

Do not write to me, do not talk to me. Do not apologize to me. You have spoken hateful things against our brother Judah and you need to apologize publicly to them and then privately to them. I understand full well why Nehemia no longer does the barley search nor sights the moon. He is sick and tired of the hate he gets from those who claim to be followers of Yehshua. You are not followers of Yehshua, but you are followers of your father Satan. And it is through you and your hateful speech that Satan has come into this walk, this way, that all of us are new to and is about to destroy it from within.

Luke 18:9 He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

You hypocrites think this verse is speaking about the Jews and Pharisees. NO. It is speaking about you who think you are better than those others because of your faith. Your denomination as were. You condemn the Jew because they have not yet come to believe in your Messiah. And for this, you exult yourself. Your self-righteousness stinks and drives all of us from His place of worship.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted

When I first began to teach the Sabbath and the Holy Days according to the Barley being Aviv and the moon being sighted by two witnesses and the Sabbatical Years jubilee years, I was maligned and attacked and hated by those who called me brethren just a few weeks before. Years later I see those same people who viciously attacked me now keeping the crescent moon or waiting eagerly for the barley report. It is the very same as Paul killing Stephen and then years later becoming an Apostle to the one he persecuted.

Luke 18:8 Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

Why does Yehshua ask this question? Is it because He is doubtful that any will have the faith when He comes or that there will be so few that it will seem as though no one has faith?

Jude 1:3 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day— just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.” But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion. These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.

It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage.

But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

Each time I see the condemnation of Devorah Yoel and Nehemia, I see those doing so trying to draw more followers after themselves just as we are warned they would do.

Acts 20:29 I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,… 7 Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths.

2 Timothy 3:1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

2 Peter 2:10 Such punishment is specially reserved for those who indulge the corrupt desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones, whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord. But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.

These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

2 Peter 3:3 Most importantly, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

I do not agree with Nehemia Devorah and Yoel about the state that the barley must be in to declare the month of Aviv. I believe the Messiah has come and is to come again. I do not condemn those who do not believe the same as I do. I will stand with Nehemia, and Yoel and Devorah and defend them and their differences of opinion. And I will continue to search the Torah to find the truth. And I will continue to condemn those who do not and cannot love the brethren and those who teach us to the best that they humanly can. If this offends you then I look forward to not hearing from you again nor sending you this NewsLetter.

Freedom of Speech being taken away step by step

Last week I wrote to you to advise you of the silencing of our voices that is being done in the USA and UK and Australia and NZ after the Terrorist attack in New Zealand. The Silencing of the Lambs

This week in the USA in the Congress they held hearings in an effort to get FB and Google to stop all hate speech as they are doing in the EU. You can read about it in the PBS news report I saw Tuesday about it.

They even posted this in the news article.

78 percent of extremist murders in the U.S. last year were by perpetrated by white supremacists.

And yet across the EU and the UK and Canada, you are not allowed to say the ethnicity or the religion and now even the names of those who rape and beat up women. Many of them Islamic but they can declare that the majority of Terrorist crimes are done by white supremacists. You can read the article titled

Hate crime hearing shows lawmakers still can’t agree on basic facts

Then this week there was another demonstration of just how bad things are when the enemy within spoke out again.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has once again proven she is unfit to serve the American people and does not represent our values.

While speaking at an event for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a designated terrorist group by the United Arab Emirates, Rep. Omar made a false and grossly offensive statement claiming that CAIR was founded post-9/11 “because they recognized that some people did something.”

First and foremost, CAIR was not founded after 9/11. The organization that is an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror financing trial in US history (The Holy Land Foundation Trial) was actually founded 7 years prior to 9/11 in 1994.

Second and most importantly, 9/11 was not just a “some people did something” type of event. 9/11 was the largest and most deadly terrorist attack on American soil in United States history. Nearly 3,000 innocent Americans lost their lives to 19 radical Islamic terrorists on that tragic day.

If Congresswoman Omar does not understand the gravity of this event and its effect on the American people, she has no business being in Congress let alone on the prestigious House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Remember, this is the same Congresswoman who has recently:

Tweeted out that Israel has “hypnotized the world” and that the United States only supports Israel because of the “Benjamins.”
Refused to condemn Hamas for firing 20 rockets into Israel, destroying the homes of innocent civilians.
Refused to condemn Brunei for instituting strict Sharia law which will require death by stoning as a punishment for gay sex and “amputation for those guilty of theft under sharia law, with both penalties to also apply to children once implemented.”

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Congresswoman Ilhan Omar does not have America’s best interests in mind.

We have been warned by Yehovah not to set foreigners over us.

Deut 17:15 you may indeed set a king over you whom the Lord your God will choose. One from among your brothers you shall set as king over you. You may not put a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.

The US Democrats are courting the Islamic vote as much as they possibly can and are not going to say boo against them. This and the fact that they do not want to upset the Muslim voters and they seek to appease them so they all get along.

As we have also been telling you, the Hunters are here and more coming. Very soon the hunt begins.

Omer Count & Jubilee Count

We are currently counting the omer each day and each Shabbat. Today is the 3rd Sabbath or the 21st day of counting the Omer.

Pauline has been sharing every day on our facebook page and on MEWE the counting of the Omer.

With each day that we count we also read some of the Psalms.

I want to ask you why do we count? We are commanded to count the Omer in Lev 23.

Lev 23:15 “You shall count seven full weeks from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering. You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then you shall present a grain offering of new grain to the Lord.

We are told to count the Sabbaths and we are told to count each day. So that is where we are told to do this. Again I ask you why did Yehovah have us do this?

Before I answer that, I have another question for you. Today is the Shabbat and what day is this? It is the 21st day of counting the Omer.

Sightedmoon.com has been teaching you about the Jubilee Cycles since 2005 and the Jubilee cycles are 50 years in length of time. I am now 61 years old and 50 years is a very long time.

  • Martin Luther King was killed the year before.
  • Robert Kennedy was assassinated the year before.
  • In August 1969, shortly before Michael Jackson turned 11, the Jackson 5 opened for Diana Ross at the L.A. Forum, and in December, they issued their debut album, Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5.
  • Hillary Clinton graduated from High School.
  • Apollo 11 was launched and Neil Armstrong was the first to walk on the moon.
  • Woodstock the festival would take place.

There was so much more that I could have added. But I wanted to show you some of the things you may have forgotten or not realized were 50 years ago now.

Yehovah knows that we forget and He has set up these reminders for us not to.

Each year we are to count the Omer and in that count, we are to also recognize where we are in the Jubilee Cycle.

Each Newsletter has the following at the very top of the letter.

News Letter 5855-007
The 3rd Year of the 4th Sabbatical Cycle
The 24th year of the 120th Jubilee Cycle

We are in the 24th year of the this 120th Jubilee Cycle. The 24th day of counting the Omer is our annual reminder of where we are in this Jubilee Cycle. We are in the 24th year. Tuesday, April 16, 2019, represents the 24th day of counting the Omer and the 24th year of counting the Jubilee Cycle.

Sevening Ourselves

Two weeks ago in our article on the Exodus, we shared with you our article on the Feast of Oaths and how it was a blood covenant. We quoted chapter 5 of our book The 2300 Days of Hell. And if you have not yet read The 2300 Days of Hell we strongly urge you to either get the book or the e-book and read it without delay.

In our article two weeks ago we talked about the Feast of Weeks and The Feast of OAths and we talked about the Blood Covenant that Israel agreed to at Mount Sinai. We also explained that when we confess the name as it says in Romans 10:9 that we are in fact confessing to having broken this covenant and our willingness to return to keeping it and obeying it.

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

I would like to now return to the story of Abraham to show you something else that is going on during this counting of the Omer.

Gen 21:22 A Treaty with Abimelech
At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do. Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my descendants or with my posterity, but as I have dealt kindly with you, so you will deal with me and with the land where you have sojourned.” And Abraham said, “I will swear.”
When Abraham reproved Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech’s servants had seized, Abimelech said, “I do not know who has done this thing; you did not tell me, and I have not heard of it until today.” So Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant. Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock apart. And Abimelech said to Abraham, “What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?” He said, “These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this may be a witness for me that I dug this well.” Therefore that place was called Beersheba, because there both of them swore an oath. So they made a covenant at Beersheba. Then Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army rose up and returned to the land of the Philistines. Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God. And Abraham sojourned many days in the land of the Philistines.

I want you to look up the word swear. Then I want you to look up the word Seven as in the seven lambs.

shâba

BDB Definition:

1) to swear, adjure

1a) (Qal) sworn (participle)

1b) (Niphal)

1b1) to swear, take an oath

1b2) to swear (of Jehovah by Himself)

1b3) to curse

1c) (Hiphil)

1c1) to cause to take an oath

1c2) to adjure

Did you take note of what you just read. It can mean an oath and or it can mean a curse. Both at the same time.

Part of Speech: verb

A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: a primitive root

Swear co: Oath ab: ?: Literally to seven oneself. A common practice was to make seven declarations when making an oath. This declaration can be making the oath seven times or doing seven things to show the sincerity of the oath. (eng: seven, an exchange of the s and sh)

shaw-bah’

A primitive root; properly to be complete, but used only as a denominative from H7651; to seven oneself, that is, swear (as if by repeating a declaration seven times): – adjure, charge (by an oath, with an oath), feed to the full [by mistake for H7646], take an oath, X straitly, (cause to, make to) swear.

And here is the word for seven.

H7651

ubc   hubc

sheba    shibâh

sheh’-bah, shib-aw’

From H7650; a primitive cardinal number; seven (as the sacred full one); also (adverbially) seven times; by implication a week; by extension an indefinite number: –    (+ by) seven ([-fold], -s, [-teen, -teenth], -th, times). Compare H7658.

Now you should understand what took place at Beer Sheba and how it came to be known by that name. Beer is the Hebrew word for well and Sheba is the Hebrew word for Sevening.

“These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this may be a witness for me that I dug this well.” Therefore that place was called Beersheba, because there both of them swore an oath. So they made a covenant at Beersheba.

After the Exodus Israel meandered in the wilderness of Midian until they arrive at Jebel Al LAwz and just before Shavuot, that is Pentecost when Yehovah came down in a cloud and… let us just read it.

Exodus 19:1 On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai. They set out from Rephidim and came into the wilderness of Sinai, and they encamped in the wilderness. There Israel encamped before the mountain, while Moses went up to God. The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.

These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”

Right here we have the marriage proposal from Yehovah to Israel

So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him. All the people answered together and said,

“All that the Lord has spoken we will do.”

And now we read where Israel accepts the proposal from Yehovah.

And Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord. And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.”
When Moses told the words of the people to the Lord, the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments and be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death. No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.”

The following three pictures are from Jebel Al Lawz and show the warning that those who trespassed would be shot.

So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and consecrated the people; and they washed their garments. And he said to the people, “Be ready for the third day; do not go near a woman.”

On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled. Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly. And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder. The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to the Lord to look and many of them perish. Also let the priests who come near to the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.” And Moses said to the Lord, “The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai, for you yourself warned us, saying, Set limits around the mountain and consecrate it.’” And the Lord said to him, “Go down, and come up bringing Aaron with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, lest he break out against them.” So Moses went down to the people and told them.

Then in Exodus 20, we read about the covenant that Yehovah spoke to the people and how all the people agreed to obey. And we read of this a number of times.

In Chapter 24 we read how the people again agreed with the covenant twice and there were even 70 elders who saw Yehovah and ate with Him.

Then he said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship from afar. Moses alone shall come near to the Lord, but the others shall not come near, and the people shall not come up with him.”

Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the rules. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do.” And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And he sent young men of the people of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord. And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he threw against the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.” And Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up, and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness. And he did not lay his hand on the chief men of the people of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank.

We learn more about this event in Deut 5:27-29

Go near and hear all that the Lord our God will say, and speak to us all that the Lord our God will speak to you, and we will hear and do it.’

“And the Lord heard your words, when you spoke to me. And the Lord said to me, ‘I have heard the words of this people, which they have spoken to you. They are right in all that they have spoken. Oh that they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!

Then in Deut 27, we read how this agreement resulted in the marriage contract between Yehovah and Israel

17 You have declared today that the Lord is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his rules, and will obey his voice. And the Lord has declared today that you are a people for his treasured possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments, and that he will set you in praise and in fame and in honor high above all nations that he has made, and that you shall be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.”

After Joshua crossed the Jordan he built altar today known as Joshua’s Altar and I have taken groups to this altar and prayed there a number of times. Joshua stated the following here.

Joshua 8:30 At that time Joshua built an altar to the Lord, the God of Israel, on Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the people of Israel, as it is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, “an altar of uncut stones, upon which no man has wielded an iron tool.” And they offered on it burnt offerings to the Lord and sacrificed peace offerings. And there, in the presence of the people of Israel, he wrote on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written. And all Israel, sojourner as well as native born, with their elders and officers and their judges, stood on opposite sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, half of them in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded at the first, to bless the people of Israel. And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the Book of the Law. There was not a word of all that Moses commanded that Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel, and the women, and the little ones, and the sojourners who lived among them.

We also read how Joshua and Israel agreed to obey Yehovah again at Shechem near the end of Joshua’s life.

Joshua 24:1 You have declared today that the Lord is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his rules, and will obey his voice. And the Lord has declared today that you are a people for his treasured possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments, and that he will set you in praise and in fame and in honor high above all nations that he has made, and that you shall be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.”

We can also read in Nehemiah how the people after the captivity of that time renewed their vows to obey Yehovah.

Nehemiah 10:28 “The rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who have separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the Law of God, their wives, their sons, their daughters, all who have knowledge and understanding, join with their brothers, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and his rules and his statutes.

All the people entered into the curse of the law if they disobeyed and the blessings if they obeyed. Did you see this?

We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons. And if the peoples of the land bring in goods or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on a holy day. And we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.

“We also take on ourselves the obligation to give yearly a third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God: for the showbread, the regular grain offering, the regular burnt offering, the Sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed feasts, the holy things, and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. We, the priests, the Levites, and the people, have likewise cast lots for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers’ houses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the Law. We obligate ourselves to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the Lord; also to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God, the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks; and to bring the first of our dough, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our towns where we labor. And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes. And the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse. For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. We will not neglect the house of our God.”

When you agree to follow Yehovah, when you confess and wish to return to the law and begin to obey, you are also agreeing to suffer the curses if you do not obey.

Let us read teh blessings we are going to get when we obey Yehovah.

Lev 26:1 Blessings for Obedience
“You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God. You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
“If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely. I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. And I will remove harmful beasts from the land, and the sword shall not go through your land. You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. I will turn to you and make you fruitful and multiply you and will confirm my covenant with you. You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall clear out the old to make way for the new. I will make my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.

Then right after this are the curses that will come our way if we do not obey. These are the very handbook we have been warning you about since 2005 and we have shown you each of these curses one by one as they manifest on the nightly news and remain there for weeks months and even years.

Here are the curses and I do hope you read them.

The first curse is Terrorism.

Lev 26:14 Punishment for Disobedience
“But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments, if you spurn my statutes, and if your soul abhors my rules, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, then I will do this to you: I will visit you with panic, with wasting disease and fever that consume the eyes and make the heart ache. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. I will set my face against you, and you shall be struck down before your enemies. Those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when none pursues you.

The Second Curse is extreme weather.

And if in spite of this you will not listen to me, then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins, and I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.

The third curse is pestilence.

“Then if you walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will continue striking you, sevenfold for your sins. And I will let loose the wild beasts against you, which shall bereave you of your children and destroy your livestock and make you few in number, so that your roads shall be deserted.

The fourth curse is the sword

“And if by this discipline you are not turned to me but walk contrary to me, then I also will walk contrary to you, and I myself will strike you sevenfold for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute vengeance for the covenant. And if you gather within your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. When I break your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in a single oven and shall dole out your bread again by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.

The fifth curse is captivity.

“But if in spite of this you will not listen to me, but walk contrary to me, then I will walk contrary to you in fury, and I myself will discipline you sevenfold for your sins. You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters. And I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars and cast your dead bodies upon the dead bodies of your idols, and my soul will abhor you. And I will lay your cities waste and will make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your pleasing aromas. And I myself will devastate the land, so that your enemies who settle in it shall be appalled at it. And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

“Then the land shall enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest, and enjoy its Sabbaths. As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, the rest that it did not have on your Sabbaths when you were dwelling in it. And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a driven leaf shall put them to flight, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall when none pursues. They shall stumble over one another, as if to escape a sword, though none pursues. And you shall have no power to stand before your enemies. And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. And those of you who are left shall rot away in your enemies’ lands because of their iniquity, and also because of the iniquities of their fathers they shall rot away like them.

We can also read of the blessing and the curses in Deuteronomy. Here are the blessings if we obey.

Deut 28:1 Blessings for Obedience
“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. The Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. And the Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, and if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

And here are the curse for when we do not obey.

Deut 28:15 Curses for Disobedience
“But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

“The Lord will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me. The Lord will make the pestilence stick to you until he has consumed you off the land that you are entering to take possession of it. The Lord will strike you with wasting disease and with fever, inflammation and fiery heat, and with drought and with blight and with mildew. They shall pursue you until you perish. And the heavens over your head shall be bronze, and the earth under you shall be iron. The Lord will make the rain of your land powder. From heaven dust shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

“The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them. And you shall be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth. And your dead body shall be food for all birds of the air and for the beasts of the earth, and there shall be no one to frighten them away. The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt, and with tumors and scabs and itch, of which you cannot be healed. The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind, and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall be only oppressed and robbed continually, and there shall be no one to help you. You shall betroth a wife, but another man shall ravish her. You shall build a house, but you shall not dwell in it. You shall plant a vineyard, but you shall not enjoy its fruit. Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you shall not eat any of it. Your donkey shall be seized before your face, but shall not be restored to you. Your sheep shall be given to your enemies, but there shall be no one to help you. Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, while your eyes look on and fail with longing for them all day long, but you shall be helpless. A nation that you have not known shall eat up the fruit of your ground and of all your labors, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually, so that you are driven mad by the sights that your eyes see. The Lord will strike you on the knees and on the legs with grievous boils of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.
“The Lord will bring you and your king whom you set over you to a nation that neither you nor your fathers have known. And there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone. And you shall become a horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the Lord will lead you away. You shall carry much seed into the field and shall gather in little, for the locust shall consume it. You shall plant vineyards and dress them, but you shall neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them. You shall have olive trees throughout all your territory, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives shall drop off. You shall father sons and daughters, but they shall not be yours, for they shall go into captivity. The cricket shall possess all your trees and the fruit of your ground. The sojourner who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
“All these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you till you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you. They shall be a sign and a wonder against you and your offspring forever. Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things, therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and lacking everything. And he will put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you. The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, swooping down like the eagle, a nation whose language you do not understand, a hard-faced nation who shall not respect the old or show mercy to the young. It shall eat the offspring of your cattle and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed; it also shall not leave you grain, wine, or oil, the increase of your herds or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish.

“They shall besiege you in all your towns, until your high and fortified walls, in which you trusted, come down throughout all your land. And they shall besiege you in all your towns throughout all your land, which the Lord your God has given you. And you shall eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of your sons and daughters, whom the Lord your God has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemies shall distress you. The man who is the most tender and refined among you will begrudge food to his brother, to the wife he embraces, and to the last of the children whom he has left, so that he will not give to any of them any of the flesh of his children whom he is eating, because he has nothing else left, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in all your towns. The most tender and refined woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground because she is so delicate and tender, will begrudge to the husband she embraces, to her son and to her daughter, her afterbirth that comes out from between her feet and her children whom she bears, because lacking everything she will eat them secretly, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in your towns.
“If you are not careful to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, the Lord your God, then the Lord will bring on you and your offspring extraordinary afflictions, afflictions severe and lasting, and sicknesses grievous and lasting. And he will bring upon you again all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Every sickness also and every affliction that is not recorded in the book of this law, the Lord will bring upon you, until you are destroyed. Whereas you were as numerous as the stars of heaven, you shall be left few in number, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God. And as the Lord took delight in doing you good and multiplying you, so the Lord will take delight in bringing ruin upon you and destroying you. And you shall be plucked off the land that you are entering to take possession of it.

“And the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known. And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul. Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life. In the morning you shall say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and at evening you shall say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and the sights that your eyes shall see. And the Lord will bring you back in ships to Egypt, a journey that I promised that you should never make again; and there you shall offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer.”

Just pause for a few minutes and let all of that sink in. The blessings and the curses for when we do not obey. This is what we agreed to at Mount Sinai. And everyone who wants to follow Yehovah and be protected by Him and be a part of His Kingdom also agrees to both the blessing and the curses if you do not obey.

1 Each Sabbath, every 7 days we renew our oath, our sevening of ourselves to keep the covenant.

2 Each Feast of Unleavened Bread we Count out the 7 Days of Unleavened Bread, we renew our oath, our sevening of ourselves to keep the covenant.

3 Each year when counting out the 7 weeks or the 7 Sabbath to Shavuot or Pentecost, every day as we count the Omer, we renew our oath, our sevening of ourselves to keep the covenant.

4 Each year as we count out the 7 months we renew our oath, our sevening of ourselves to keep the covenant. The Holy Days come in the 1st and the 7th month.

5 Each Holy Day, all 7 Holy Days, we renew our oath, our sevening of ourselves to keep the covenant. 1st Day of Unleavened Bread, 7th Day of Unleavened Bread, Shavuot, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, 1st day of Sukkot and the 8th Day Feast.

Thanks to Johanan Maerschalck for drawing this up properly. Most people do not ever include the 8th day Feast in this picture of the Menorah.

6 Each Sukkot as we dwell in temporary shelters for 7 days we renew our oath, our sevening of ourselves to keep the covenant.
7 Each Shemitah year as we count out the seven years from one Sabbatical year until the next we renew our oath, our sevening of ouselvs to keep the covenant.
8 Each time we count out the seven Shemitah to arrive at the 50th year Jubilee we renew our OATH TO YEHOVAH, our SEVENING TO YEHOVAH TO BE HIS  and to be a part of His Kingdom.

Each of these sevening processes increases us with knowledge and understanding and wisdom on how to know Yehovah. And what is the one thing He says to the five foolish vigins.

Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Mat 25:6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

Now you should be able to know and understand what is being told to us in Daniel 9:24-27.

Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city,

Shibym shâbûa is how it is being translated but in the original Hebrew the words are myubc myubc Shibiym Shibyim. Although the words are the same words in the Stones edition and in all Hebrew editions they are all translated as 70 Shabuwa. That is Strongs # 7657 and 7620.

H7657 shibiym shibeem multiple of H7651 n
seventy Multiple of H7651 seventy seventy threescore and ten teen

Remember from the start we looked at the word 7651 which means seven and to oath oneself.

H7651

ubc   hubc

sheba    shibâh

sheh’-bah, shib-aw’

From H7650; a primitive cardinal number; seven (as the sacred full one); also (adverbially) seven times; by implication a week; by extension an indefinite number: –    (+ by) seven ([-fold], -s, [-teen, -teenth], -th, times). Compare H7658.

And this word Sheba for seven comes from the word for oath or curse.

H7650

ubc

shâba

BDB Definition:

1) to swear, adjure

1a) (Qal) sworn (participle)

1b) (Niphal)

1b1) to swear, take an oath

1b2) to swear (of Jehovah by Himself)

1b3) to curse

1c) (Hiphil)

1c1) to cause to take an oath

1c2) to adjure
A primitive root; properly to be complete, but used only as a denominative from H7651; to seven oneself, that is, swear (as if by repeating a declaration seven times)

When we Seven ourselves we complete ourselves. If you do not keep each of the Holy Days how will you ever be able to complete yourself. When the 5 foolish virgins go out to get more oil, to get more Holy Spirit how can they do that unless they have the time to keep the Holy Days and the Holy Years. They do not have the time and they are not known by Yehovah.

I want you to notice the word Saba, which is spelled the exact same way as Sheba

#7646 ubc saba` {saw-bah’}
or ubc sabea` {saw-bay’-ah}

  • sabea (959b); a prim. root; to be sated, satisfied or surfeited:—
  • NASB – became satisfied(1), become weary(1), being satisfied(1), continually(1), drink their fill(1), enough(1), fed them to the full(1), filled(9), full(2), get enough(1), glutted(1), had enough(2), have his fill(1), have in plenty(1), have it in excess(1), have abundance(1), have enough(2), have plenty(2), plenty(1), ripe*(1), satiated(2), satisfied(49), satisfies(2), satisfy(10), saturates(1).

When we are obedient to Yehovah and keep the Covenant we will be filled satiated and have enough.

And now let us look at the word 7620 which is what the second Shibiyim is being translated as.

H7620   (Strong)

uwbc         ubc         hubc

shâbûa?    shâbûa?    shebû?âh

shaw-boo’-ah, shaw-boo’-ah, sheb-oo-aw’

Properly passive participle of H7650 as a denominative of H7651; literally sevened, that is, a week (specifically of years): – seven, week.

This same word Strongs # 7620 Shabua is used in the following verses.

Exo 34:22,

Exo 34:22  “And perform the Festival of Sha?u?oth for yourself, of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.

The word for Shabuoth is 7620 the Feast of Weeks.

Lev 12:5,

Lev 12:5  ‘But if she gives birth to a female child, then she shall be unclean for two weeks, as in her monthly separation, and she remains in the blood of her cleansing for sixty-six days.

Num 28:26,

Num 28:26  And on the day of the first-fruits, when you bring a new grain offering to Yehovah at your Festival of Sha?u?oth,b you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.

Again here the word for Shabuoth is the Feast of Weeks.

Deu 16:9-10 (3),

Deu 16:9  “Count seven weeks for yourself. Begin to count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain.

Deu 16:10  “And you shall perform the Festival of Sha?u?othc to Yehovah your Elohim, according to the voluntary offering from your hand, which you give as Yehovah your Elohim blesses you.

The same word for weeks in all three places but in the third usage it is the Feast of Weeks that is being specified. It is also interesting to note the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 is very similar to the 7 sevens here. tubc  hubc Shabua shavuot

Deu 16:16,

Deu 16:16  “Three times a year all your males appear before Yehovah your Elohim in the place which He chooses: at the Festival of Matzot,e and at the Festival of Sha?u?oth, and at the Festival of Sukkotd. And none should appear before Yehovah empty-handed,

Shavuot is the word 7620 for weeks.

2Ch 8:13,

2Ch 8:13  even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the command of Mosheh, for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the appointed times three times a year: the Festival of Matzot, and the Festival of Sha?u?oth, and the Festival of Sukkot.

The word Shavuot is the same word 7620

Dan 9:24-27 (6), Here in Daniel 9 24-27 the word Shavuot Strongs #7620 is used 6 times in these 4 verses.

Dan 9:24  “Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and for your set-apart city, to put an end to the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover crookedness, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the Most Set-apart.

Dan 9:25  “Know, then, and understand: from the going forth of the command to restore and build Yerushalayim until Messiah the Prince is seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again, with streets and a trench, but in times of affliction.

Dan 9:26  “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the set-apart place. And the end of it is with a flood. And wastes are decreed, and fighting until the end.

Dan 9:27  “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste.

Dan 10:2-3 (2)

Dan 10:2  In those days I, Dani’?l, was mourning three weeks of days.

Dan 10:3  I did not eat desirable food, and meat and wine did not come into my mouth, and I did not anoint myself at all, till the completion of three weeks of days.

Out of 13 usages for this word 10 of them are referring to the word Shavuot.

We, Israel, have had 70 Shabua, 70 Feast of Weeks, 70 X 49 which is 3430 years to seven ourselves and keep the Oath we said we would keep at Mount Sinai in our marriage agreement. And now in the 70th Jubilee cycle, the 70th week of Daniel 9, because we have not kept our Oath, we have not sevened ourselves as a nation, we the Anointed People of Yehovah will be cut off and be as if we never were. We are now reaping those curses that we also agreed to if we did not obey Yehovah.

But even in this great time of sorrow Yehovah holds out a branch of hope. He said as much after each of the curses we read today.

Lev 26:40 “But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery that they committed against me, and also in walking contrary to me, so that I walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies—if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled and they make amends for their iniquity, then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and I will remember my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. But the land shall be abandoned by them and enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them, and they shall make amends for their iniquity, because they spurned my rules and their soul abhorred my statutes. Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not spurn them, neither will I abhor them so as to destroy them utterly and break my covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God. But I will for their sake remember the covenant with their forefathers, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.”
These are the statutes and rules and laws that the Lord made between himself and the people of Israel through Moses on Mount Sinai.

Deut 30:1 Repentance and Forgiveness
“And when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you, and return to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul, then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you. If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will take you. And the Lord your God will bring you into the land that your fathers possessed, that you may possess it. And he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. And the Lord your God will put all these curses on your foes and enemies who persecuted you. And you shall again obey the voice of the Lord and keep all his commandments that I command you today. The Lord your God will make you abundantly prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground. For the Lord will again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers, when you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, when you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

The Choice of Life and Death

“For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.

“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish. You shall not live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

Daniel prays for mercy after he realizes the 70 years of captivity are now over.

Dan 9:1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, by descent a Mede, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans— in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, perceived in the books the number of years that, according to the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet, must pass before the end of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years.

Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying, “O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you. To us, O Lord, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you. To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, refusing to obey your voice. And the curse and oath that are written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against him. He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled us, by bringing upon us a great calamity. For under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem. As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favor of the Lord our God, turning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth. Therefore the Lord has kept ready the calamity and has brought it upon us, for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works that he has done, and we have not obeyed his voice. And now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have made a name for yourself, as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

“O Lord, according to all your righteous acts, let your anger and your wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy hill, because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a byword among all who are around us. Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.”

Shabbat Shalom Joseph and to Everyone reading this.
It is a most humbling experience to read Daniel’s prayer aloud. We are so unworthy and we have done so wickedly. Yet, Yehovah extends His Hand to forgive and show mercy to His people. That is why I am excited about counting the Omer and reaffirming my declaration of obedience,- sevening myself to Yehovah. Each day of the count is one step closer to Him and His promised blessings. Each day of the count is one more assurance of His protection, His Forgiveness and His Mercy.
Thank you for sharing this again. It is a genuine blessing.

Shabbat shalom all, I have an observation to share. It seems to me that there is a misunderstanding of what the word aviv means. It means young ears of corn (grain) or young sprouts. Please look it up in your hebrew dictionary. The dictionary does not in any way suggest that it would mean ripe or ready for grinding. I think this is the root of some of the calendar determination issues.
Thank you to Devorah for sharing the current state of the barley. I have been deeply interested as I was concerned that I may have made a mistake in my decision to be on the early team. After reading what she wrote I am confident I made the right choice.
Shalom to all early or late. We are all on a journey to the same place but not all at the same mile marker.

Shabbat Shalom Kurt, Always good to hear from you. The month of the green ears. We must have barley that is able to be roasted and then ground up into a fine flour as Lev 2 tell us. This stage must be able to be ground by the wave sheaf day as that is when the sickle is put to the grain. So on Saturday evening.
I too have wondered if we were early as well and ready to do Passover again. but Devorahs report proved we are correct in doing as we have done. The barley has already begun to reseed itself. And yet many are about to keep what they think is Passover next week with not the first fruits.

    Joseph F. Dumond, grandpa Joseph:
Yet another evening spent reading your latest newsletter, then rereading it, then zeroing in on the particularly spiritually loaded sentences and rereading them. Thank you. If we are in covenant with YeHoVah the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob we will obey His commands, including all seven of His Feasts – thus circling about Him seven times. In covenant, if we obey we will be blessed. However, if we willfully break those things we have agreed to, then the consequences will be disastrous as you have pointed out. Just ask his covenant people, the Jewish people.
I’m putting together a Website (like we need another Hebrew Roots Website) on keeping the feasts and explaining the calendar as you do. But mainly it will be a resource guide, directing readers to teachers like yourself, Nehemia Gordon, Rico Cortes, Joseph Good, the Temple Institute, as well as Jewish resources: Mishnah, and Talmud(s) on line and other useful sources of information.
    Thanks, Peter

    Greetings family,
There is so much confussion on social media this last few weeks. I so glad I not just trying to learn about everything. It enough to make you pull your hair out at times lol. I do appreciate all the different brethren working on their own understandings of when to keep the Annaul Feast days and try to avoid in fighting unless someone directly asks for my opinion about my view or calls me out and I need to explain myself. I often say how we all need to examine ourselves first and keep that in mind no matter if we are right or wrong about a subject. This way of thinking has served me well over the years and I always try to share this with others
Speaking of the Feast days I haven’t yet seen any commnet about walking around Yehovah(Husband )seven times like a bride would walk around her betroved. Every high day is another walk around Yehovah. By end of the 7th biblical month we have 7 high days where we circle our husband Yehovah once for each annual high Sabbath. Same idea as circling Jerico 7 times and the walls coming down after 7th time. They both reflect the covenant we made at Mt. Sinia.
This article is a great peace to help explain the mark of the beast to someone. Very usable and exiting information. I’m dealing with mostly unconverted people so having this to start teaching someone is awesome. Definately will work it into my conversations with people out and about. I know it will come in handy for me in the coming months.
Always appreciate the work you put into these articles Mr. Dummond. Thank you as always, as well as all the sightedmoon.com brethren working behind the scenes
Love out to all the brethren from NS., Canada
    Shabbat Shalom everyone

    Hello Joe,
    just a correction,
the block of text you have as Joshua 24:1 is Actually Devarim 26:17-19!
it’s positioned just before the Nehemyah 10:28 text.
Looks like you were working late,
Shalom to you and to the 12 Tribes in the dispersion!

    Dear Joseph,
I was just wanted to share something with you. I am really not worthy for all of my wrong doings in my life, but some force that came from another corner has made me understood that counting is really an important thing, and that seven is set apart to receive holyness. I really read your things and stories a lot for more insight and i totally agree with much of your theories.
But i dont seem to understand the balance between keeping the laws and on the other side his grace which he also send to Abraham and David. Because they were all not without any shame, every human has its own shame… And it’s not about the redemption after those shamefull things, it’s more about giving the full Glory to God that He is the only one that can save you…. I am not sure about the people keeping the covenant correctly, or the love that people have for God and his Commandments knowing that they will never be without sins. Because honestly i don’t know about timing at all, i am having problems scheduling my days because of autism in the family… I have problems with walking in line like it supposed to be right… And i definitely don’t know what is right from wrong. But i am counting the Omer and the Sabbaths like and i controle to see if i am counting it right, and then i pray every night to shine his glory on all people that doesnt see or notice it… So that they have a chance as well… I don’t know if i will be saved but God deserves all Glory, but i have the responsibility to try to explain it to others that this is a treasure for hope… And that forgiveness is always in Yehovahs hands… With kind Regards from the NL… Janet

Shalom Janet, yes counting is very important. I am glad you are seeing this. Yehovah has taken the veil from your eyes. Start by keeping the weekly Sabbath as best you can. Each week try to do it better than the week before. You can also make it more family time to help deal with the autism in your family. It is not going ot be easy but Yehovah will take note and step in to help. But He does want to see you doing your best before He helps. As to the Holy Days, we have them posted on our web site. Write them down on your calendar and when they come keep them holy. It is hard to explain but blessings to do come and they are not always explainable. Each one is special for that person or family alone. IN time it does get better and in time you do gain more understanding. But the moment you stop growing Yehovah stops as well and waits for you to continue to grow.
I also want to show you something as you mentioned trying to figure out the grace part which you have been taught in your Chrisitian churches.
      Read what Yehovah said.
Exo 20:5 You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them. For I Jehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation of those that hate me,
Exo 20:6 and showing mercy to thousands of those that love Me and keep My commandments.
Mercy is the same as Grace. Yehovah will forgive anyone anything if they start to keep His commandments. We don’t deserve to be forgiven but He does it for us IF WE OBEY or begin to obey. That is the grace. If you refuse to obey then no grace is given. And as you obey then you begin to know Yehovah and He then knows you.
Jn 14:15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Jn 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me
1 Jn 2:3 And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments
1 Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
2 Jn 6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
Rev 12:17 who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Rev 14:12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.
Yehovah be with you sister and guide you in this walk and strengthen your resolve to obey no matter what.
      Shalom
