Chronological Proof of the year of Abraham’s covenant and the Entrance into the Promised Land

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Chronological Proof of the year of Abraham’s covenant and the Entrance into the Promised Land

In order to prove something we must have accurate information. We must have all the information and not leave any out. Unfortunately far too many people do not have all the information when they do the biblical chronology.

I hope this helps all of you to come to a better and deeper understanding.

Gen 5:1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that Elohim created man, He made him in the likeness of Elohim.
Gen 5:2 Male and female He created them, and He blessed them, and called their name ‘Adam’ in the day they were created.

130 Years

Gen 5:4 And after he brought forth Shth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years. And he brought forth sons and daughters.
Gen 5:5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
Gen 5:6 And Shth lived one hundred and five years, and brought forth Enosh.

1948

First of all you have know that Noah was 502 when Shem was born.

Gen 5:31 So all the days of Lemek were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.
Gen 5:32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah brought forth Shm, Ham, and Yepheth.

Gen 7:6 Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood-waters were on the earth.
Gen 7:7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.
98 Years for Noah when Shem was born.

Gen 11:10 This is the genealogy of Shm: Shm was a hundred years old and brought forth Arpakshad, two years after the flood.
100 Years

Gen 11:11 And after he brought forth Arpakshad, Shm lived five hundred years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
So Shem was actually born when Noah was 502 years old. Based on Gen 11:10

The two problems most people have with chronology is Noah being 500 which we have shown to be 502 above and the other date is Terah being 70; Which we must show through a long process to follow.

Was Abraham born when Terah was 70

This is only proven by adding up all the years to the Exodus and then to the entrance to the Promised Land and that year has to be a Jubilee year. It only works based on Abraham being born in 1948 as we about to see.

Assuming that Abraham born 1948 After Creation, He was told to leave Harran when he was 75. (This would then be 2023 AC)
Gen 12:4 So Abram left, as had commanded him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran.

The next time we are given a time in Abraham’s life was Gen 16:16 And Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Yishmal to Abram.

We are told two things between this time of Abraham being 75 and the time that Ishmael was born when Abraham was 86.

One is found in Gen 15:13 And He said to Abram, “Know for certain that your seed are to be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years.

The other is found in Exo 12:40 And the sojourn of the children of Yisra’l who lived in Mitsrayim was four hundred and thirty years. 41 And it came to be at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, on that same day it came to be that all the divisions of went out from the land of Mitsrayim.

We have to recon these two clues into our Chronology so it all fits.

First clue tells us Abrahams Seed is to be afflicted 400 years.

We read in Gen 21:5 And Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Yitshaq was born to him.

But it was not until Gen 21:8 And the child grew and was weaned, and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Yitshaq was weaned. 9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Mitsrite, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking. 10 So she said to Abraham, “Drive out this female servant and her son, for the son of this female servant shall not inherit with my son, with Yitshaq.” 11 And the matter was very evil in the eyes of Abraham because of his son. 12 But Elohim said to Abraham, “Let it not be evil in your eyes because of the boy and because of your female servant. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice, for in Yitshaq your seed is called.

Something happened at this great feast for Isaac that caused Sarah to want to get rid of Ishamel and his mother.

According to Jewish Mythology Ishmael committed the crime of attracting Isaac to the fields and there casting at him arrows and balls under the pretext of play ( ), but in reality to get rid of him (Gen. R. liii.): for this reason Sarah insisted on Ishmael and his mother being dismissed.

In another source which I cannot find at the moment Ishmael was threatening Isaac with a knife.

It is at this point that Isaac and his descendants would become afflicted. I am saying Isaac is 10 years of age when he is weaned and is threatened by Ishmael. We now must count 400 years from this date to see if it lands on the year of the Exodus to see if we are correct.

So we have Abraham’s birth year as 1948 and Abraham was a 100 years old when Isaac was born. Now we add 10 more years on to this. 2058 After the creation of Adam. And now add the 400 years to the Exodus and we have 2458 as the year of the Exodus.

Now we must deal with the next clue.

Exo 12:40 And the sojourn of the children of Yisra’l who lived in Mitsrayim was four hundred and thirty years. 41 And it came to be at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, on that same day it came to be that all the divisions of went out from the land of Mitsrayim.

In the Christian tradition, Gamaliel is celebrated as a Pharisee doctor of Jewish Law, who was the teacher of Paul the Apostle. The Book of Acts portrays Gamaliel as a man of great respect. In the Talmud, Gamaliel is described as bearing the titles Nasi and Rabban (our master), as the president of the Great Sanhedrin in Jerusalem; although some dispute this, it is not doubted that he held a senior position in the highest court in Jerusalem.[2] Gamaliel holds a reputation in the Mishnah for being one of the greatest teachers in all the annals of Judaism:
“Since Rabban Gamaliel the Elder died, there has been no more reverence for the law, and purity and piety died out at the same time”

Now concerning this 430 years Paul says the following in Gal 3:16 But the promises were spoken to Abraham, and to his Seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Messiah. 17 Now this I say, Torah, that came four hundred and thirty years later, does not annul a covenant previously confirmed by Elohim in Messiah, so as to do away with the promise.

We are told here that the Torah or the covenant was made with Abraham 430 years before the Exodus. This takes place in Gen 15 and we now know this to be on the First Day of Unleavened Bread. But we are not told Abrahams age.

I have made an educated guess and said Abraham was 80. We can prove this also by having the 430 years add up to the Year of the Exodus and match the same year as the 400 years of Abraham’s descendants being afflicted.

Abraham was born in 1948 plus 80 is 2028 when the Covenant was made. 430 years later is 2458 and now both the 430 years matches the 400 years. So we have confirmed that Abraham was 80 when the Covenant was made and that Isaac was 10 when the Affliction began.

We have one more proof to confirm. All of this is based on Abraham being born in 1948 and all of this must add up to a Jubilee year according to Lev 25 in order for it all to be correct.

In Lev 25:1 And spoke to Mosheh on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’l, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall observe a Sabbath to . 3 ‘Six years you sow your field, and six years you prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruit,4 but in the seventh year the land is to have a Sabbath of rest, a Sabbath to . Do not sow your field and do not prune your vineyard.

In this scripture Yehovah is telling Moses that in the year they enter the land, the land shall have a Sabbath, and again when they enter the land that they shall begin to count out the Jubilee cycle of seven years. When they enter the land they are to start to count. This would be year one. Yehovah also says this is a Sabbath year, or in fact a Jubilee year. The Jubilee year is also the first year as we have shown in many other articles.

Is this right Can it be so

Let’s add up what the scriptures tell us and find out.

As noted above Abraham was given the promise in 2028 After Creation (AC). 430 years later Israel left Egypt. (2028 + 430 = 2458 AC)

In Num 1:1 And spoke to Mosheh in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, saying,

(2458 + 2 = 2460)

In Num 10:11 And it came to be on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from above the Dwelling Place of the Witness. 12 And the children of Yisra’l departed, setting out from the Wilderness of Sinai. And the cloud dwelt on it in the Wilderness of Paran. 13 Thus they departed the first time, according to the command of by the hand of Mosheh.

Here again, it is the second year after they left Egypt and they went to Paran. This is another part of chronology that most people skip right over and do not count. But these 2 years are crucial in our chronology. So again 2458 to the Exodus plus the 2 years and they are now in Paran. This is now 2460 after creation of Adam.

And from Paran were sent the 12 spies for 40 days.

Num 13:1 And spoke to Mosheh, saying, 2 “Send men to spy out the land of Kenaan, which I am giving to the children of Yisra’l. Send one man from each tribe of their fathers, every one a leader among them.”3 And by the command of Mosheh sent them from the Wilderness of Paran, all of them men who were heads of the children of Yisra’l.

But Israel brought back an evil account and Yahweh sentenced them to wander for 40 years in the wilderness. Num 14:32 ‘But as for you, your carcasses are going to fall in this wilderness. 33 ‘And your sons shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whorings, until your carcasses are consumed in the wilderness. 34 ‘According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days – a day for a year, a day for a year – you are to bear your crookednesses forty years, and you shall know My breaking off. 35 ‘I am , I have spoken, I shall do this to all this evil congregation who are meeting against Me: In this wilderness they are consumed, and there they die.’ ”

It was on this very day, the Ninth of Av that Israel received this sentence to wander for 40 years. It was also on this very same day that the Temple Of Solomon and the Temple of Herod was destroyed.

Again back to our addition of years we have 2460 + 40 for a total of 2500 (AC). This was the year that Joshua entered the Promised Land. It is not the purpose of this letter to prove how to count the number of Jubilee cycles, either by 49 or by 50. But in other articles we have proven it is to be counted by 49s the same as Pentecost lands on the first day of the week so does the jubilee year land on the first year in our count to the next Sabbatical year.

You can start at the beginning of creation and add by 49 + 49 + 49 until you get a total of 2499 AC. This year of 2499 years after creation is the 49th year of the Jubilee cycle. The 50th year would be the next year and also it would be the first year of the next count to seven. This is the year 2500 AC!!!!!

And now we have shown that the year of Abraham’s birth was in fact 1948 after creation. We have also proven that the covenant was made when Abraham was 80 years old and that Isaac was in fact 10 years old when the affliction began on him and his descendants. All of this is proven by the fact that the year they entered the Promised Land was a Jubilee year as we have now shown you.

Yehovah told Joshua in Joshua 5:9, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Had we been knowledgeable of the Jubilee years and Sabbatical years, we would have known from this statement that this was a Jubilee year that they entered the Promised Land. And Yehovah’s instruction to us of a future Jubilee year in Zephaniah 3:14-20 is so exciting to look forward to. Thank you for your hard work on this matter.
