Cherry Picking The 3rd Tithe Year of 2022

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom Royal Family of Yehovah,

Shabbat Zoom Meeting

There are many people in need of fellowship and who are sitting at home on the Sabbath with no one to talk to or debate with. I want to encourage all of you to join us on Shabbat, and to invite others to come and join us as well. If the time is not convenient then you can listen to the teaching and the midrash after on our YouTube channel.

What are we doing and why do we teach this way?

We are going to discuss both sides of an issue and then let you choose. It is the work of the Ruach (Spirit) to direct and to teach you.

The medieval commentator Rashi wrote that the Hebrew word for wrestle (avek) implies that Jacob was “tied”, for the same word is used to describe knotted fringes in a Jewish prayer shawl, the tzitzityot. Rashi says, “thus is the manner of two people who struggle to overthrow each other, that one embraces the other and knots him with his arms”.

Our intellectual wrestling has been replaced by a different kind of struggle. We are Wrestling with Yehovah as we grapple with His Word. It is an intimate act, symbolizing a relationship in which Yehovah and I and you are bound together. My wrestling is a struggle to discover what Yehovah expects of us, and we are “tied” to the One who assists us in that struggle.

Today, many say Israel means “Champion of God”, or better — the “Wrestler of God”.

Our Torah sessions each Shabbat teach you and encourage you to constantly challenge, question, argue against, as well as view alternative views and explanations of the Word. In other words, we are to “wrestle with the Word” to get to the truth. Jews worldwide believe that you need to wrestle with the Word and constantly challenge Dogma, Theology, and views or else you will never get to the Truth.

We are not like most churches where “The preacher talks and everyone listens.” We encourage everyone to participate, to question and to contribute what they know on the subject being discussed. We want you to be a champion wrestler of the Word of Yehovah. We want you to wear the title of Israel, knowing that you not only know but are capable to explain why you know the Torah to be true with logic and facts.

We have a few rules though. Let others talk and listen. There is no discussion about UFO’s Nephilim, Vaccines or conspiracy-type subjects. We have people from around the world with different world views. Not everyone cares who is the President of any particular country. Treat each other with respect as Fellow wrestlers of the word. Some of our subjects are hard to understand and require you to be mature and if you do not know, then listen to gain knowledge and understanding and hopefully wisdom. The very things you are commanded to ask Yehovah for and He gives to those who ask.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

We hope you can invite those who want to keep Torah to come and join us by hitting the link below. It is almost like a Torah teaching fellowship talk show with people from around the world taking part and sharing their insights and understandings.

We start off with some music and then some prayers and it’s as though you were sitting around the kitchen back in Newfoundland having a cup of coffee and all of us enjoying each other’s company. I hope you will grace us with your company someday.

Sabbath January 15,  2022, the room will be open at 12:30 PM Eastern with singing and prayers until about 1:15 PM. You are all welcome to join and watch. It is not recorded. We will have our afternoon service after this. You are welcome to come and join us before during and after we are off the air.

We look forward to you joining our family and getting to know us as we get to know you.

Joseph Dumond is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Septennial Torah Portion

If you go to Torah Portion at our archived section, you can then go to the 5th year which is the 5th year of the Sabbatical Cycle, the one we are in now, as we state at the top of every News Letter. There you can scroll down to January 8, 2021, and see that this Shabbat we could very well be midrashing about

Exodus 23

Isaiah 30-33

Ps 139

John 11

If you missed last week’s exciting discoveries as we studied that section you can go and watch past Shabbats on our media section.

Last Sunday I sent out an urgent prayer request. Our Website was hacked and from what James was saying it was down for the count. I then sent this out to you all. Even now as Shabbat Approaches there are lingering problems and part of this current News Letter has disappeared. I am working on adding what was erased.

Prayers Needed

Shalom to The Royal Family of Yehovah,

I have an emergency right now as I write. Our website has been hacked and taken down. James is working on it but informs me it does not look good. I am not able to do anything to help him but pray and I am asking all of you to join me and ask Yehovah to bless James with what he needs to find the problem and resolve it and restore the site.
If he cannot resolve this then James says he will have to rebuild the site. So please will you join me in asking Yehovah to step in and help James in this matter. It seems that everything is gone and none of the backups are working.

Call upon the Name of Yehovah, and consider just how Blessed we are, to have been called and to understand what we do understand, let none of us forget that many are called. Be one of the few who are chosen

Be one of the Chosen!

After sending this out I also went and prayed and then I began to get all these emails from people around the world. I was and am moved and I thank you all. After an hour I check and the site was still not up and I went and prayed again.

There were others who were cheering for our demise as well.

Yes I know it was only a website. Worst-case scenario, James could have rebuilt it and got us back online in a day or two and then taken the next few months to upload all the information on the website. It is just that huge. And each time we do rebuild the sight some information gets lost. So I am very grateful Yehovah has blessed us to get it resolved as quickly as it was and I also want to thank all of you who took a few moments to pray for this work. Thank you.

I had just completed a two 1/2 hour interview with Samuel Delgato of The Weird Christian Podcast, when James called with the bad news. But then the following began to come in. I cannot tell you how moved James and I were from this. We know people appreciate what we do here, but we never really knew. So this was very nice and I thank you all.

  • I’m praying for the complete restoration of the site and for Jehovah’s protection. HalleluYah. – Susan Danielson

And on top of all of this, I also got some posts like these.

Joseph,
I’ve been saving almost all of your newsletters since 2014—
Is there anyway this can be of help?
Maria McKnight

Steven Smith I have most the website downloaded onto memory sticks. Lesson books and all hehe. Think everything up to the end of 2020 I have on them if the website is ever taken down for whatever reason. The rest I have on my present laptop so. We didn’t know what was going to happen in 2020 so was thinking out of the box tehehe

Lucinda Gibbs Robinson Steven Smith Great move!

Steven Smith Lucinda Gibbs Robinson Thank you, sister. Jan S actually helped me get them together when she organized the teachings and newsletters on the website. She said it was a gift for always having her back when she did the MeWe app for Joseph. Her gift has kept giving. I often have the sticks with me when I out trying to teach. Do not need the internet to get to the teachings so was definitely Yehovah breathed and inspired. I highly recommend others do the same. Time is so short and we really have no idea what coming and how it will affect us in the coming years!

Again I thank each of you for taking the time to pray for our work and the things we bring to you each week.

Another Round of Problems

James continues to fix the many smaller issues that have come up after this hack. I asked him to write to you and advise you of what happened.

There are two issues related to hosting websites on other people’s servers.

1) They are always susceptible to attack which has happened once more, the first two weeks ago through a malware attack which cost us one of our websites.

2) Vulnerabilities in our own website through plugins if used with WordPress. We of course use WordPress for our site and as such our site is open to attacks despite how much I do with it.

Today, Sunday, January 10, 2022, once again our site went down in part due to an attack and partly due to server issues which caused a cascade effect on many websites hosted on the same server we were on. This caused our website to be shut down and many files corrupted. After about 4 hours of work on both parties, mine and GoDaddy, we have repaired the breach and have the website back online.

Are there solutions to prevent this from happening again, yes and no?

Yes, we could obtain a better server with a higher level of service and protection which would prevent attacks and if the site was taken down we would have better service maintaining it from their end and I would have less to take care of. Also, the possibility of not using WordPress for our site is another option but at this stage that is a huge undertaking and with our budget the way it is, that is not going to happen.

In short, due to our lack of funds to enable us to upgrade, or move, or develop using better technology, we must continue down this same path. Next time we may not be as blessed and lose it all. Each time this has happened it seems to be becoming more difficult to prevent or avoid and repair the damage. Still, we shall move on.

James Relf

We are now about to move our site to another more secure server. We ask for your prayers in this matter as well.

Are you Keeping the Third Tithe Year?

We are now about to begin the 6th year of this current 4th Sabbatical Cycle. We are in the 120th Jubilee Cycle since the creation of Adam. In 2045 we will begin the 7th Millennium of rest.

Last Sabbath we got to talking about this subject during our Midrash. I want to remind you all once again not to forget about the widows and the orphans this coming year.

You are commanded to collect a tithe for the widows and the orphans and the Levite in the 3rd and the 6th year of the Sabbatical Cycle. 2022 starting at Aviv 1 begins the 6th year of this cycle.

Deu 14:28  At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase the same year, and shall lay it up inside your gates. And the Levite, because he has no part nor inheritance with you, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are inside your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied, so that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

I must address those who will not tithe and try to find all sorts of excuses not to tithe.

It is almost a guarantee that some clever person who does not want to obey Yehovah will write to me and say this is only speaking of the produce of the land. You are only to tithe of the produce that you grow. Since I am not a farmer I do not have to tithe.

So what they are saying is that only the farmers have to tithe, is that right?

Not one of these people has ever sent me ten bails of hey for every hundred they bailed. Nor have ever received five bushels of tomatoes for the fifty they harvested. In fact, they never send me a tithe of their produce. They just send me their excuses for why they will not obey.

Let me say here right now, I have never considered myself or this ministry to be a Levitical priesthood. I have never considered it worthy of tithing to. Only the Levite is be given the tithes and they are given that tithe in order for them to maintain the Temple. We have no Temple today and we have no priesthood so you should not be tithing. But at sightedmoon.com we have expenses and goals and other ministries we are supporting in the Philippines and Africa and maybe soon India and Pakistan. So we do accept your donations to help do the work we are doing here.

I also remember one year I brought my First Fruits offering to a local synagogue and presented it in front of the congregation. It was rhubarb and Asparagus. This was the only First Fruits I had at that time when Pentecost arrived that year. Everyone watching was wondering what was going on and the Rabbi also did not know what to think. But I presented my First Fruits offering as I was commanded.

What does the word “increase” mean from Deut14:28?

As you can see from the scriptures below the same word Tebuah can and does also mean revenue.

Proverbs 15:6  In the house of the righteous is much treasure; But in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.

Proverbs 16:8 Better is a little, with righteousness, Than great revenues with injustice.

Jer 12:13 (Darby)  They have sown wheat, and they reap thorns; they have put themselves to pain, and do not profit. Be ye therefore ashamed of your revenues, because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.

Proverb 8:19

(ASV)  My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; And my revenue than choice silver.

(BBE)  My fruit is better than gold, even than the best gold; and my increase is more to be desired than silver.

(Brenton)  It is better to have my fruit than to have gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.

(CEV)  What you receive from me is more valuable than even the finest gold or the purest silver.

(Darby)  My fruit is better than fine gold, yea, than pure gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

(DRB)  For my fruit is better than gold and the precious stone, and my blossoms than choice silver.

(ERV)  What I give is better than fine gold. What I produce is better than pure silver.

(ESV)  My fruit is better than gold, even fine gold, and my yield than choice silver.

(ESV+)  My fruit is ?R16?better than ?R17?gold, even fine gold, and my yield than ?R18?choice silver.

(GNB)  What you get from me is better than the finest gold, better than the purest silver.

(Greek NT INT+)

(GW)  What I produce is better than gold, pure gold. What I yield is better than fine silver.

On my E-sword program, I am able to now pull up the Ancient Paleo Hebrew and for this word Tebuah which is as follows.

H8393   (Ancient Hebrew)
H8393 = AHLB# 1024-J (i1)

1024) Ab% (Ab% BA) ac: Fill co: Void ab: ?: The filling of an empty space. This root is closely related to eb and ib.

  1. A) Ab% (Ab% BA) ac: Enter co: Entrance ab: ?: To fill a space by entering it.

Nf1) Eab% (Eab% B-AH) – Entrance: [freq. 1] |kjv: entry| {H872}

  1. J) Afb% (Afb% BWA) ac: Fill co: Entrance ab: ?: To come or go into a space is to fill it. A void within oneself that desires to be filled.
  2. V) Afb% (Afb% BWA) – Come: To fill a void by entering it. This can be understood as to come or to go. [A generic verb with a wide application meaning to come or go as a filling of a void] [freq. 2577] (vf: Paal, Hiphil, Hophal) |kjv: come, enter, go| {H935}
  3. am) Afbm% (Afbm% M-BWA) – I. Entrance: A place of entering. II. West: The place where the sun enters the underworld. [df: awbwm] [freq. 24] |kjv: going down, entry, come, entrance, enter, in, west| {H3996}

if1) Eafbt% (Eafbt% T-BW-AH) – Filling: An increase of produce, usually of fruit. [freq. 42] |kjv: increase, fruit, revenue, gain| {H8393}

kf1) Eafbm% (Eafbm% M-BW-AH) – Entrance: A place of entering. [freq. 1] |kjv: entry| {H3997}

if1) Eafbt% (Eafbt% T-BW-AH) – Filling: An increase of produce, usually of fruit. [freq. 42] |kjv: increase, fruit, revenue, gain| {H8393}

I want you to notice that in the Beit which is the house. It is the Aleph of Yehovah that fills that empty space.

Notice the word for laying it up.

1307) Hn% (Hn% NHh) ac: Guide co: Rest ab: ?: The pictograph nun n is a picture of a seed representing continuance, the cheth H is a picture of a wall that separates the inside from the outside. Combined these mean “continue outside”. The shepherd would guide his flock to a place of water. Here is water for drinking as well as green grass for pasturing. Once the flock arrives, they are free to rest after the long journey. A guided journey to a place of rest. A sigh of rest. (eng: night – from the German nocht, as the time of rest)

Thus far you are being told to fill up the void of her loss, to fill up the space at the entrance and give the widow rest, ease.

With this understanding, we should easily be able to understand that it is Yehovah who fills our empty space with HIs presence and His increase.

kf1) Eafbm% (Eafbm% M-BW-AH) – Entrance: A place of entering. [freq. 1] |kjv: entry| {H3997}

We are addressing those who claim that fruits only mean crops and do not mean income. If you made $50,000 last year in wages then a tithe of that would be $5,000 that would not be able to be deducted as a taxable write-off. There are no receipts when you give to the widows or the orphans or the stranger or the poor or the Levite. There is just the simple satisfaction that you have kept the Torah of Yehovah and in doing your little bit you have helped the overall function of the Kingdom.

“The overall function of the Kingdom”- how is my little part a blessing for the Kingdom? Read what you are told in Deut 26 when you do this one commandment. It says not that you will be blessed for doing your tithe but the Kingdom will also be blessed, the Nation of Israel as a whole will be blessed.

“Look down from Your holy dwelling, from Heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, as You swore to our fathers, a land that flows with milk and honey. ”

Deu 26:11  And you shall rejoice in all the good which Jehovah your God has given to you, and to your house; you, and the Levite, and the stranger in your midst. When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of your increase the third year, the year of tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow (that they may eat inside your gates and be filled), then you shall say before Jehovah your God, I have brought away the holy things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me. I have not broken Your commandments, neither have I forgotten. I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I put any of it away for unclean use, nor have I given of it for the dead. I have listened to the voice of Jehovah my God, and have done according to all that You have commanded me. Look down from Your holy dwelling, from Heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, as You swore to our fathers, a land that flows with milk and honey. Today Jehovah your God has commanded you to do these statutes and judgments. You therefore shall keep and do them with all your heart and with all your soul. You have today said that Jehovah is your God, and that you would walk in His ways, and keep His statutes and His commandments and His judgments, and listen to His voice. And Jehovah has taken you today to be His peculiar people, as He has promised you, and to keep all His commandments, and to make you high above all nations which He has made, in praise and in name and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to Jehovah your God, even as He has spoken.

When we as a people, as Yehovah’s Chosen people, obey this one command and take care of the Widow in the 3rd and 6th years, then He promises to bless us His people and the land He has given us. It is good for us to do these things so that we can be blessed.

Here is a very severe warning from Yehovah to each of us.

Exo 22:21  You shall neither vex a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry. And My wrath shall become hot, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall be widows, and your sons fatherless.

If the widows are hurting and not taken care of, then we as a people will suffer. The men will be killed and then our wives will get to learn what it is like not to have a husband. Our children will learn what it is like not to have a father.

And all of you know just how close we are to the wrath of Yehovah being poured out. Do you really want to roll the dice and take this chance?

The Widows the orphans and the Levites were not taken care of only in the 3rd and 6th years of the Sabbatical Cycles. Yehovah commanded Israel to take care of them year-round.

Deu 24:17  You shall not pervert the rightful judgment of the stranger nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s clothing to pledge.

Deu 24:18  But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and Jehovah your God redeemed you from there. Therefore I command you to do this thing.

Deu 24:19  When you cut down your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to bring it. It shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow; so that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand.

Deu 24:20  When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again. It shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

Deu 24:21  When you gather the grapes from your vineyard, you shall not glean afterward. It shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

Deu 24:22  And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt. Therefore I command you to do this thing.

We can see Boaz doing this very thing.

Rth 2:1  And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech. And his name was Boaz.

Rth 2:2  And Ruth of Moab said to Naomi, Let me now go to the field and glean ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said to her, Go, my daughter.

Rth 2:3  And she went. And she came and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come upon a part of the field of Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.

Rth 2:4  And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem and said to the reapers, Jehovah be with you. And they answered him, Jehovah bless you.

Rth 2:5  And Boaz said to his servant who was set over the reapers, Whose girl is this?

Rth 2:6  And the servant who was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the girl from Moab who came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab.

Rth 2:7  And she said, Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves. And she came, and has kept on from the morning until now, but that she stayed a little in the house.

Rth 2:8  And Boaz said to Ruth, Do you not hear, my daughter? Do not go to glean in another field, neither go away from here, but stay here close by my maidens.

Rth 2:9  Let your eyes be on the field that they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men that they shall not touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

Rth 2:10  Then she fell on her face and bowed herself to the ground, and said to him, Why have I found grace in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?

Rth 2:11  And Boaz answered and said to her, It has been fully shown to me all that you have done to your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, And you left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before now.

Rth 2:12  May Jehovah repay your work, and may a full reward be given you from Jehovah, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to trust.

Rth 2:13  Then she said, Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, for you have comforted me; for you have spoken kindly to your handmaid, though I am not like one of your handmaidens.

Rth 2:14  And Boaz said to her, At mealtime come here and eat of the bread and dip your bit in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers. And he handed her roasted grain, and she ate and was satisfied, and left.

Rth 2:15  And when she had risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not rebuke her.

Rth 2:16  And also let fall of the handfuls on purpose for her, and leave them so that she may glean them, and do not rebuke her.

Rth 2:17  And she gleaned in the field until the evening, and beat out what she had gleaned. And it was about an ephah of barley.

Rth 2:18  And she took it up and went into the city. And her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. And she brought it forth, and gave to her what she had kept after she was satisfied.

Rth 2:19  And her mother-in-law said to her, Where have you gleaned today? And where did you work? Blessed is he who took notice of you. And she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz.

Rth 2:20  And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, Blessed is he of Jehovah, who has not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said to her, The man is near of kin to us, he is of our redeemers.

Rth 2:21  And Ruth of Moab said, He said to me also, You shall keep close by my young men whom I have until they have ended all my harvest.

Rth 2:22  And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law Ruth, Good, my daughter. You go out with his maidens so that they do not fall upon you in any other field.

Rth 2:23  And she kept close by the maidens of Boaz to glean until the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest. And she lived with her mother-in-law.

Throughout the other years which are not 3rd tithe years, can we all not show mercy to the widows in our flock? Why do we not look out for them like Boaz did and bless them from our abundance?

This now brings me to a question I have for each of you to figure out. In Lev 23 we are told each of the Holy Days and when to keep them and the other events surrounding those moedim. We have explained to you many times and written about it in our book The Mystery of the Jewish Rapture 2033, the spiritual meaning of each of the Holy Days. The rapture of the Saints on Wave Sheaf day and the coming rapture again of the Saints at Shavuot and the third resurrection at Sukkot at the end of the 7th millennium.

Here is my question. What is the spiritual meaning of this command in Lev 23 that goes with the Shavuot Holy Day? I look forward to your comments this week as you answer this question.

Lev 23:22  And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely reap the corner of your field. When you reap the gleaning of your harvest, you shall not gather. You shall leave them to the poor and to the stranger. I am Jehovah your God.

Let me say this. Those who do this command should understand it. Those who do not do this may very well be standing there scratching their heads. What is the spiritual meaning of this command that was done each year and not just in the 3rd tithe years?

Rom 2:13  For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.

Where Your Treasure Is

Whenever you go to the bank for a loan for a car or a mortgage they want to know everything about you. Where your income is coming from and where you spend it and how much of it you save. They want all the details about your finances before they decide what rate to give you if they give you the loan at all.

Mat 6:19  Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal.

Mat 6:20  But lay up treasures in Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

Mat 6:21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

If you were to do an inventory of your own finances, what will you discover? If you do it seriously you might just discover where your heart is. You will discover what is important to you. Does most of your money go towards your house payment, or car payment or towards your food payment. Where do you spend all your money each month?

This week we are going to look at a subject I have avoided for almost my entire time here at Sightedmoon.com. I have done so because I have always felt that when others did this subject it was a money grab or they laid on the guilt complex on me or you in order to get us to give to them. I never wanted to do that.

I have also never felt worthy of or justified to receive tithes. So we always encouraged donations instead of tithes.

It has also always bothered me that those who say the old testament laws are all done away, will readily revive the law of tithing as justifiable to do for their church which has taken over since the apostles who took over for the Levitical Priests.

Have I been doing you a disservice in this? Am I wrong for avoiding this subject as I have?

I am working on the history of the Sabbath in North America. I have been looking at this in an effort to show those things that have been restored. Yehshua said Elijah would be here before He came and that Elijah would restore all things. It has been through the Sabbatical Groups that this restoration has been taking place. And it was only after those Sabbath groups in our history taught about tithing that the work they were doing flourished. Yes, you can see where I am going, but there is more to it than just what you are thinking.

You have just read about Boaz and his part in taking care of the poor and the widows. You have also just read about Yehovah’s heart towards the widows and He is their protector. By studying the tithing laws I am hoping you will see the heart of Yehovah towards you and His nation.

I have said before that when I tithed in the World Wide Church of God I had many blessings happening to me. Even though I was in a high tax rate and paying tithes, I still paid off my first house in 5 years’ time and I also paid off my car payments. I was paying about 37% in taxes and getting most of it back at tax time. On top of this, I was paying some years 30% in tithes. Although it was sometimes tight, I have never lacked and looking back I have had a blessed life.

Let us look at this subject to learn about the heart of Yehovah and then decide what you want to do. It is not the amount you give nor is it just about the money. It is much much more than that. It is about your relationship with Yehovah.

We have already shown you that tithing is giving 10% of your increase of what Yehovah has already blessed you with.

Let’s get this next section out of the way. Most Christians are going to tell you about how Abraham tithed. In fact, even the book of Hebrews tells you as much. But let’s just read this and see who gave what to whom.

Gen 14:17  And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and of the kings with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s valley.

Gen 14:18  And Melchizedek the king of Salem brought forth bread and wine. And he was the priest of the most high God.

Gen 14:19  And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of Heaven and earth.

Gen 14:20  And blessed be the most high God, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

The main subject of the scriptures 17-20 have been about Melchizedek.

Melchizedek went out to meet Abraham.

Melchizedek brought bread and wine.

Melchizedek was the Priest of the Most High.

Melchizedek blessed Abraham. The entire section has been about Melchizedek and all that he did on this day. Then in verse 20, the he that is being spoken of is not Abraham but it is Melchizedek who gave Abraham a tithe of all that Abraham had brought back, which was stolen from Jerusalem.

Gen 14:21  And the king of Sodom said to Abram, Give me the people and take the goods for yourself.

The King of Sodom is trying to outdo Melchizedek by giving Abraham all the loot which Abraham had already captured. The King of Sodom was trying to show he was more righteous than Melchizedek.

Gen 14:22  And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand to Jehovah, the most high God, the possessor of Heaven and earth,

Gen 14:23  that I will take from all that is yours, not from a thread even to a shoestring, lest you say, I have made Abram rich.

Gen 14:24  Nothing for me, only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

Abraham was taught by Noah and knew Shem who is Melchizedek. Abraham had spent quite a lot of time with them. Abraham knew the righteousness in them. After all, it is Abraham who is recording these events and Abraham calls Shem, Melchizedek, the Priest of the Most HIgh.

If Abraham is giving Melchizedek 10% why did he not give the King of Sodom 10%? So now you know who gave whom what. Many modern pastors then make Melchizedek to be Yehshua and thereby it is justified to tithe to Christ as an act of worship. But that is not what is going on here. Go back and read the scriptures yourself and decide.

That is the first truth about tithing that I wanted to put in front of you. The TRUTH.

The next set of scriptures used to justify tithing is Genesis 28. Again let’s read it all in context.

Gen 28:10  And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran.

Gen 28:11  And he came on a certain place, and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took of the stones of that place, and placed them at his head. And he lay down in that place to sleep.

Gen 28:12  And he dreamed. And behold! A ladder was set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to Heaven! And behold! The angels of God wereascending and descending on it!

Gen 28:13  And behold! Jehovah stood above it, and said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac! The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your seed.

Pay attention here. What is being spoken of? The Land and Jacobs Seed. Yehovah is telling Jacob his seed will be like the dust of the earth. The seed of Jacob is what Yehovah is promising to increase.

Gen 28:14  And your seed shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. And in you and in your Seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 28:15  And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in every place where you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you until I have done that which I have spoken of to you.

Gen 28:16  And Jacob awakened from his sleep. And he said, Surely Jehovah is in this place, and I did not know.

Gen 28:17  And he was afraid, and said, How fearful is this place! This is nothing but the house of God, and this is the gate of Heaven!

Gen 28:18  And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone which he had put at his head, and set it as a memorial pillar, and poured oil on the top of it.

This tradition of pouring oil on the pillar stone is found throughout the scriptures and history, even up to today.

Gen 28:19  And he called the name of that place The House of God. But the name of that city was Luz at first.

Gen 28:20  And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,

Gen 28:21  and I come again to my father’s house in peace, then shall Jehovah be my God.

Gen 28:22  And this stone which I have set for a pillar shall be God’s house. And of all that You shall give me, I will surely give the tenth to You.

Again what was Yehovah giving to Jacob? Did Yehovah say anywhere about giving him silver or gold? No! Yehovah spoke to Jacob about giving him the land and seed that would be like the dust of the earth. It is this seed, the subject of this section of the bible that Jacob says he will give a tenth of.

Now that we have taken away two false teachings that are used to get you to tithe let us now look at the truth and look at the scriptures about tithing.

Lev 27:30  And all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Jehovah’s. It is holy to Jehovah.

Lev 27:31  And if a man will at all redeem anything of his tithes, he shall add to it the fifth part of it.

Lev 27:32  And all the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, all that passes under the rod, a tenth shall be holy to Jehovah

Lev 27:33  He shall not search whether it is good or bad, neither shall he change it. And if he changes it at all, then both it and the change of it shall be holy. It shall not be redeemed.

Lev 27:34  These are the commandments which Jehovah commanded Moses for the sons of Israel in Mount Sinai.

Now verse 30 is related directly back to Jacob in Genesis 28:18 where he set up the Pillar stone as a memorial that he was going to give 10% of all that came from the land and also from his seed.

We see this tithe of the sons of Israel starting in Exodus. The firstborn sons of Israel were to serve Yehovah. They were to be the priests of the nation until the golden calf incident.

Exo 32:25  And when Moses saw that the people were naked, (for Aaron had made them naked to their shame among their enemies,)

Exo 32:26  then Moses stood in the gate of the camp and said, Who is on Jehovah’s side? Come to me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves to him.

Exo 32:27  And he said to them, Thus says Jehovah, the God of Israel: Each man put his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and kill each one his brother, and each one his neighbor, and each one his kindred.

Exo 32:28  And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

Exo 32:29  For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to Jehovah, since each one has been against his son, and against his brother, and in order to give you a blessing today.

Exo 32:30  And it happened on the next day, Moses said to the people, You have sinned a great sin. And now I will go up to Jehovah. Perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin.

Exo 32:31  And Moses returned to Jehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made themselves gods of gold.

Exo 32:32  And now will You forgive their sin! And if not, I pray You, blot me out of Your book which You have written.

Exo 32:33  And Jehovah said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

Exo 32:34  And now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My Angel shall go before you. And in the day of My visitation I will visit their sin upon them.

Exo 32:35  And Jehovah plagued the people because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

The taking of the Levites as the Priests instead of the firstborn is explained in Numbers.

Num 8:5  And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

Num 8:6  Take the Levites from among the sons of Israel, and purify them.

Num 8:7  And in this way shall you do to them to purify them. Sprinkle water of sin-offering on them, and let them shave all their flesh and wash their clothes, and make themselves clean.

Num 8:8  Then let them take a young bull with its food offering, fine flour mixed with oil, and another young bull shall you take for a sin offering.

Num 8:9  And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation. And you shall gather the whole assembly of the sons of Israel together.

Num 8:10  And you shall bring the Levites before Jehovah. And the sons of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.

Num 8:11  And Aaron shall offer the Levites before Jehovah for an offering of the sons of Israel, so that they may do the service of Jehovah.

Num 8:12  And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bulls. And you shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, to Jehovah, to make an atonement for the Levites.

Num 8:13  And you shall set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering to Jehovah.

Num 8:14  So you shall separate the Levites from among the sons of Israel. And the Levites shall be Mine.

Num 8:15  And after that the Levites shall go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. And you shall purify them and offer them for a wave offering.

Num 8:16  For they are wholly given to Me from among the sons of Israel, instead of those that open every womb. The first-born of all the sons of Israel, I have taken them to Me.

Num 8:17  For all the first-born of the sons of Israel are Mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck every first-born in the land of Egypt I set them apart for Myself.

Num 8:18  And I have taken the Levites for all the first-born of the sons of Israel.

Num 8:19  And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the sons of Israel, to do the service of the sons of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the sons of Israel, so that there may be no plague among the sons of Israel when the sons of Israel come near the sanctuary.

Num 8:20  And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the sons of Israel did to the Levites according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses concerning the Levites. So the sons of Israel did to them.

Num 8:21  And the Levites purified themselves, and they washed their clothes. And Aaron offered them, an offering before Jehovah. And Aaron made an atonement for them to purify them.

Num 8:22  And after that the Levites went in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron and before his sons. Even as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.

Retirement of the Levites

Num 8:23  And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

Num 8:24  This is that which pertains to the Levites. From twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 8:25  And from the age of fifty years they shall stop waiting upon the service, and shall serve no more.

Num 8:26  But they shall minister with their brothers in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge; only he shall not serve at a service. So you shall do to the Levites as to their duties.

These Levites are now the 10% Jacob promised on that Pillar stone.

Yehovah also tells us in Numbers that all the Levites are to service Aaron and the Tabernacle on behalf of the people and that the people were to give the Levites the firstborn that opened the womb and a tithe of all that they received from the land.

Num 18:1  And Jehovah said to Aaron, You and your sons, and your father’s house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary. And you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

Num 18:2  And bring your brothers also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father with you, so that they may be joined to you and minister to you, you and your sons with you, before the tabernacle of witness.

Num 18:3  And they shall keep your charge and the charge of all the tabernacle. Only they shall not come near the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, so that neither they nor you also may die.

Num 18:4  And they shall be joined to you, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle. And a stranger shall not come near you.

Num 18:5  And you shall keep the charge of the sanctuary and the charge of the altar, so that there may be no wrath any more upon the sons of Israel.

Num 18:6  And I, behold, I have taken your brothers the Levites from among the sons of Israel. They are given to you as a gift by Jehovah, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 18:7  Therefore you and your sons with you shall keep your priests’ office for everything of the altar and inside the veil. And you shall serve. I have given your priest’s office as a service of gift. And the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

Num 18:8  And Jehovah spoke to Aaron, Behold, I have also given you the charge of My heave offerings of all the holy things of the sons of Israel. I have given them to you for the anointing, and to your sons, by an ordinance forever.

Num 18:9  This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire, every sacrifice of theirs, every food offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall give Me. These are most holy for you and for your sons.

Num 18:10  You shall eat it in the Holy of Holies. Every male shall eat it. It shall be holy to you.

Num 18:11  And this is yours, the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the sons of Israel. I have given them to you and to your sons and to your daughters with you, by a statute forever. Everyone that is clean in your house shall eat it.

Num 18:12  All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the first-fruits of them which they shall offer to Jehovah, I have given them to you.

Num 18:13  The first fruits of all that is in the land, which they shall bring to Jehovah, shall be yours. Everyone that is clean in your house shall eat of it.

Num 18:14  Everything devoted in Israel shall be yours.

Num 18:15  Everything that opens the womb in all flesh, which they bring to Jehovah, of men or animals, shall be yours. Nevertheless, the first-born of man you shall surely redeem, and the first-born of unclean animals you shall redeem.

Num 18:16  And those that are to be redeemed from a month old you shall redeem, according to your judgment for the silver of five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.

Num 18:17  But the first-born of a cow, or the first-born of a sheep, or the first-born of a goat, you shall not redeem. They are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shall burn their fat, an offering made by fire, for a sweet savor to Jehovah.

Num 18:18  And their flesh shall be yours, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are yours.

Num 18:19  All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the sons of Israel offer to Jehovah, I have given you and your sons and your daughters with you, by a law forever. It is a covenant of salt forever before Jehovah to you and to your seed with you.

Num 18:20  And Jehovah said to Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any part among them. I am your part and your inheritance among the sons of Israel.

Num 18:21  And behold, I have given the sons of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 18:22  Neither must the sons of Israel come near the tabernacle of the congregation from now on, lest they bear sin and die.

Num 18:23  But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity, a statute forever throughout your generations, that among the sons of Israel they have no inheritance.

Num 18:24  But the tithes of the sons of Israel, which they offer as a heave offering to Jehovah, I have given to the Levites to inherit. Therefore I have said to them, Among the sons of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

Num 18:25  And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

Num 18:26  And you shall speak to the Levites, and you shall say to them, When you take tithes from the sons of Israel, which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall offer up a heave offering of it for Jehovah, a tenth of the tithe.

Num 18:27  And your heave offering shall be credited to you as grain of the threshing-floor, and as the fullness of the winepress.

Num 18:28  So you also shall offer a heave offering to Jehovah of all your tithes which you receive from the sons of Israel. And you shall give from it Jehovah’s heave offering to Aaron the priest.

Num 18:29  Out of all your gifts you shall offer every heave offering of Jehovah, of all its fat, the holy part of it out of it.

Num 18:30  And you shall say to them, When you have lifted up its fat, then it shall be credited to the Levites as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the winepress.

Num 18:31  And you shall eat it in every place, you and your households. For it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 18:32  And you shall bear no sin because of it, when you have lifted up the fat of it. Neither shall you defile the holy things of the sons of Israel, lest you die.

You are to tithe to the Levites so they can minister on your behalf to Yehovah. Now notice what you are told to do for yourself. You are to take a tithe of your produce for yourself. You are to take 10% and spend it on yourself at each of the Feasts of Yehovah. Pay special attention to verse 19. DO NOT FORSAKE THE LEVITE. Have you done this? Are you guiltless in this regard?

Deu 12:17  You may not eat inside your gates the tithe of your grain or of your wine or of your oil, or the first-born of your herds or of your flock, or any of your vows which you vow, or your free-will offerings or the heave offering of your hand.

Deu 12:18  But you must eat them before Jehovah your God in the place which Jehovah your God shall choose; you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite within your gates. And you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God in all that you put your hand to.

Deu 12:19  Take heed to yourself that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live on the earth.

Yehovah is looking out for you and telling you to come and enjoy the Feasts with Him. Take 10% of what He has blessed you with and come and take your vacation at the Feast days with Him. How awesome.

Deuteronomy 14:22-29   (MKJV)
22  You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed that the field brings forth year by year.

23  And you shall eat before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose to place His name there, the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the first-born of your herds and of your flocks, so that you may learn to fear Jehovah your God always.

24  And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it, or if the place is too far from you, which Jehovah your God shall choose to set His name there, when Jehovah your God has blessed you,

25  then you shall turn it into silver and bind up the silver in your hand, and shall go to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose.

26  And you shall pay that silver for whatever your soul desires, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul desires. And you shall eat there before Jehovah your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household

27  and the Levite within your gates, you shall not forsake him, for he has no part nor inheritance with you.

28  At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase the same year, and shall lay it up inside your gates.

29  And the Levite, because he has no part nor inheritance with you, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are inside your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied, so that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

When Judah came back from the Captivity Nehemiah again set up the tithing laws.

Nehemiah 10:37-39   (MKJV)
37  and that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all kinds of trees, of wine and of oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, and they, the Levites, might have the tithes in all the cities we farmed.

38  And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes, and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house.

39  For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine, and the oil, to the rooms where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

Now when you do not tithe, what happens? Each of you wants to be in the Kingdom of Yehovah. You want to be part of it. Are you willing to work at it now to make it happen? We do not have a tabernacle. We cannot tithe to the work for the Tabernacle. But we do have men who are teaching you the Torah. Men who are teaching you about the Sabbath, the calendar and when the Holy Days are, and the Jubilee Cycles and men who are reminding you of these things both physically and spiritually.  Do you support them?

Many do not. You begrudge paying them for what they provide to you, yet you do have a monthly internet subscription you pay for. You have outrageous phone bills each month you pay so you can talk to people. You pay for lots of other things but you will not support nor do you think you have to support those who teach you about Yehovah. This is why those teaching, walk away. They have no support to do the work they are trying to do and yet people think they are free to dump all their crap on them.

Neh 13:10  And I saw that the portions of the Levites had not been given to them; for the Levites and the singers, who did the work, had fled each one to his field.

Neh 13:11  And I contended with the rulers and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together and set them in their place.

Neh 13:12  And all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil into the treasuries.

Neh 13:13  And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah. And next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah. For they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute to their brothers.

Neh 13:14  Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds which I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices of it.

Have we all forgotten this one little verse? How long are you to do this for? Some think until they get tired of learning from the Levites.

Deu 12:19  Take heed to yourself that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live on the earth.

We are told in Matthew that Elijah must come before the Messiah comes and he is going to restore all things.

Mat 17:10  And His disciples asked Him, saying, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?

Mat 17:11  And answering Jesus said to them, Elijah truly shall come first and restore all things.

What has been restored? The Sabbath, the Holy Days, the Calendar using the Barley and the crescent moon. Many of you see how this has been refined over the past 5 years. You have also witnessed how the proper timing for the Sabbatical and Jubilee years has now been restored. How did any of this happen and by whom did any of these things happen? Now we must restore the tithing laws so that all can be blessed. If you are not tithing then this part of the restoration has not yet happened and it will not happen until you do begin.

Mal 3:1  Behold, I will send My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And Jehovah, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Mal 3:2  But who can endure the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fuller’s soap.

Mal 3:3  And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may be offerers of a food offering in righteousness to Jehovah.

Mal 3:4  Then the food offering of Judah and Jerusalem shall be pleasing to Jehovah, as in the days of old and as in former years.

Mal 3:5  And I will come near you to judgment. And I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who extort from the hired laborer’s wages, and turning away the widow, and the orphan, the alien, and not fearing Me, says Jehovah of Hosts.

I do not want you to believe me on any of this. Our motto from the beginning has been to prove all things. Even Yehovah tells you to test Him on this subject.

Mal 3:6  For I am Jehovah, I change not. Because of this you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.

Mal 3:7  From the days of your fathers, you have turned aside from My statutes, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. But you say. In what way shall we return?

Mal 3:8  Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, In what have we robbed You? In the tithe and the offering!

Mal 3:9  You are cursed with a curse; for you are robbing Me, the nation, all of it.

Mal 3:10  Bring all the tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. And test Me now with this, says Jehovah of Hosts, to see if I will not open the windows of Heaven for you, and pour out a blessing for you, until there is not enough room.

Mal 3:11  And I will rebuke your devourer, and he shall not decay the fruit of your ground against you; nor shall your vine miscarry against you in the field, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Mal 3:12  And all nations shall call you blessed; for you shall be a delightful land, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Mal 3:13  Your words have been strong against Me, says Jehovah. Yet you say, What have we spoken against You?

Mal 3:14  You have said, It is vain to serve God; and, What profit is it that we have kept His charge, and that we have walked as mourners before Jehovah of Hosts?

Mal 3:15  And now we are calling the arrogant blessed. Not only are the doers of wickedness built up, they also test God, and escape.

The Book of Remembrance

Mal 3:16  Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name.

Mal 3:17  And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him.

Mal 3:18  Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God, and him who does not serve Him.

Start today to take the 1st 10% and dedicate it to Yehovah. Then take the 2nd 10% and dedicate it to your family for keeping the Feasts anywhere He sets His name. It is a test. Yehovah is going to let you test Him and you get to see if He will bless you. At the same time, He is testing you to see if you are going to put into practice those things that make up and help His Kingdom to function.

You must also decide where you are going to send your first tithe. As I said I never considered myself worthy. I have never been anointed by men or had them lay hands on me for this office, and yet I do hold this office and I have been anointed by Yehovah in the understanding of the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles and the prophecies they reveal. Do you know of anyone else that is doing this? If you do then support them.

We have developed a team of pastors who are teaching these things to those they teach. Our list of pastors is growing. Many of them are concerned about paying the bills because they do not have a job. Sightedmoon.com has been supporting them so they can do the work. But we could start to look after more teachers if we knew we could support them. And that depends on each one of you.

If you are in North America or Africa or the Philippines, your tithe, big or small helps run the Kingdom of Yehovah. It helps to take care of those teaching you.

We have asked you for donations in the past. We did not want to trouble you with tithing. We felt unworthy to accept it. But in so doing we have robbed Yehovah of His command for us and we have robbed ourselves of Him blessing us.

We can call it whatever we want. Donations, subscriptions, giving, or whatever. It does not matter. What matters is that we obey Him and do what He has said for the blessings to come and for us to be in His Kingdom that functions on tithing. He told us to tithe. He did not say to skimp on our tithes but to do more than just the minimum.

I want to encourage each of you to tithe to your local ministry pastor. I also want those associate ministries to take a tithe and send it to us if we are whom they are learning from for their assembly. If we are that place you are learning from then I am asking you to tithe to us at sightedmoon.com. We are after all implementing the Sabbath and Holy Days according to the Barley and crescent moon as well as the Sabbatical and Jubilee years, are we not? Is there another ministry doing this?

I have been foolish for not obeying Yehovah in this matter. I apologize and I am now repenting for having not implemented it sooner. There are only two other ministries I know of that I would support and in fact I am already supporting.

Our world is in crisis. You can see it and you know it. You see the severe weather around the world, you are all in the grips of COVID around the world. Who else is showing you how that fits in with Yehovah’s curses of Lev 26 and the Jubilee cycles? Who?

You have all learned a lot here at sightedmoon.com and some of you owe Yehovah quite a lot for these revelations. Not all of you but some. So if you want to continue to support Billy Graham then let him teach you these truths.

Yehovah did not say to send your tithes to the Egyptians or the Canaanites. He said to send them to those doing the work on behalf of the Tabernacle. We are doing that on behalf of the Kingdom now.

When we get Yehovah’s laws right then good things happen. We keep the Sabbath and tell others you cannot cherry-pick which commandments you are going to keep. I say that again to you. You cannot cherry-pick which commandments you will keep. Tithing is part of the commandments that support His Kingdom.

We all want to be in the Kingdom and we all want to reap the blessings from being part of that Kingdom. That Kingdom functions upon each citizen doing their part. Are you doing your part to bring about or to prepare to be a part of that Kingdom? We are called to be Kings and Priests in that Kingdom. Are you going to enforce those laws as a King and are you going to teach those laws as a Preist?

The world may have abused these laws or cherry-picked which ones they will keep in the past. It does not matter now what they did. What matters now is what you are going to do as a citizen of that Kingdom. The restoration of all things involves the restoration of the tithing laws. The world may have abused this one law and made many of you sick of it. Are you now ready to restore this law to build the Kingdom and show the world how to do it properly?

Do not forsake the Levite.

Deu 12:19  Take heed to yourself that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live on the earth.

We all talk about being a Bond Servant of Yehovah. We even discussed this at a recent midrash one Sabbath. If we truly are owned by Yehovah and mean it then He owns everything you have already. Should we be found complaining to our King who has commanded this?

Yes yes yes! Tithing! It’s not just for MY blessing, it’s for the whole community to be blessed. When I am strong and I give of my strength to another to lift them out of their poverty, their deficit, their sin, their miry clay, then I make my brother or sister stronger, and as I help them to be strong, then they in turn help the next one to be strong. It’s a principle. It’s NOT about money. But Money is sometimes how things function. It IS about everything. Tithe your food if the one next to you is hungry. Tithe your compassion if the one next to you is downtrodden, tithe your time if the one next to you is overburdened, tithe your money if the one next to you can not pay their bills.

The preschool kids have a new phrase they say “sharing is caring”. It is a biblical truth. And we all have needs. When we have humility enough to tell another we have a need, it gives that one the blessing to be able to step up and help you. Pridefully hiding your need stunts to blessing to the community.

Yes yes yes! amen Joe and Amen! The blessings abound when we obey every word of Yehovah!

The purpose of leaving the edges of our fields when harvesting is to be generous. It points to the idea that we are not to be perfectly stingy…we are to be generous in what we do. Now as a farmer it would make me a little crazy in the head not to have perfectly straight lines and harvest it all perfectly neat and tidy…leaving the corners might cause a tic to develop…hahaha It’s a good thing I’m no farmer. We need to have a generous lifestyle….it’s not just about the corners of our fields. Those of us without incomes, we can give our time, our smile, our encouraging words.
Thank you Joseph, for an awesome newsletter. We have struggled with being regular tithers as we are often in the “poor” category. It will be a faith building year this year!

This teaching was a great blessing to me. We must first give to those who bless us with anointed teachings as Joseph does. I’ve never set aside a tithe to use for the Feasts but I plan to start this year after reading what Joseph has written. I look around my community to find those who have needs and try to do what I can to assist them. We are all blessed by those who share what they have- whether it be time, fellowship, food or their concern for us.

    – – – Joe when I read when you wrote the following verses – – – Deuteronomy 12:17 You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or your new wine or your oil, of the firstborn of your herd or your flock, of any of your offerings which you vow, of your freewill offerings, or of the heave offering of your hand.

Deuteronomy 12:18 But you must eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God chooses, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all to which you put your hands.

We are told to eat, drink and enjoy ourselves in the presence of Yehovah. We are told to enjoy the Feasts with Him.
Now here is a question for you to ponder on – – – What about if we do not keep God’s Feasts on the right correct days – will Yehovah be present at the Feasts that we keep? – – –

Thank you Joseph for TEACHING truth.
I can say, without ANY hesitation that when people say “I don’t have” they are NOT speaking the truth. I’ve challenged many a person to instead say “I don’t want to give!”😊
I am a widow and my only source of income is a State Pension. Yet, I still tithe on ALL income received (including Blessings) and YEHOVAH is faithful to provide my needs and many times, my wants!
HE has promised to provide us with MANNA not a croissant 😅

    Dear Joe,
Thank you for this explanation. For years I have been trying to do my bit, gave as I learned, but I never understood it fully. Nothing is a coincidence- I had 2 separate discussions with 3 ladies who asked me about the correct way of tithing over the past 2 weeks. I tried to explain to the best of my abilities- now I can go back and make it more clear to them with the knowledge I gained here.
Thank you & may Yehovah bless you and the team for your hard work in spreading the Truth.
    Blessings

Shabbat Shalom! Since I took time to criticize part of last week’s newsletter, I better take time this week to answer your question of “the spiritual meaning of the command to not completely reap the corners of your field”. The shortest most compact answer I can think of is “compassion” – compassion for those who are in need. The visual picture I get from this is “Yehovah is the One who provided the field, the seed, the rain, the sunshine, my ability to work, the increase, and the harvest so, I should be willing to give what’s in the corners to those in need. In doing so, Yehovah has made a way and provided for those people, just as He did for me.

As I write this, I get another visual of this field. I picture a small field, something of a size that a person could have worked back biblical days. How big would be the corners of a field this size? Maybe the size of a small garden patch? Anyhow, I’m not picturing these corners adding up to 10% of the field, not even close. Perhaps, the meaning/lesson in this commandment is to be compassionate “all the time”, even in situations that may not be connected to a tithe. One thing that is for sure, it’s hard to be too compassionate or too generous.

    Hebrews 7:5-10 KJV
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he [receiveth them], of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. 9 And as I may so say,

LEVI also, who receiveth tithes, PAID TITHES in ABRAHAM. 10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when MELCHISEDEK met him. – Hebrews 7:5-10 KJV

The Bible indicates that Abraham paid Melchisedec the tithe in both verse 6 and verses 9-10 of Hebrews 7.

Joe, I am so glad James worked so faithfully to restore the Sighted Moon website.
I am SO thrilled to know that somebody besides ME understands the TRUTH of what Genesis 14:20 says. Yehovah had Melchizedek give Abraham a tenth of EVERYTHING, encompassing a lot more than just what was involved with the spoils of that day. Try a tenth of the whole earth!….”Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall become yours”. Surely it is much more apropos today than it was even then. I have had many heated discussions with “fellow” believers of who gave who what, who like me were indoctrinated by Worldwide Church of God, and even other churches, who use that scripture to justify the people giving a tithe to the priest, preacher, or leader…hence the replacement theology of who gets it, not to be gone into here. That’s another matter altogether.
I don’t get it that the Levites are the 10% Jacob promised though. Unless I have missed something somewhere, they were merely a twelfth of the tribes of Israel. Yehovah had already claimed the firstborn of man and beast the night HE walked through the land of Egypt, redeeming them by giving the firstborn belonging to the Egyptians in their place. He still maintains ownership of the firstborn of all. Interesting isn’t it, how Yehovah would use His High priest to bless us and use us to bless his creatures and others by leaving the corners of our fields for their consumption or paying for someone else’s groceries when we buy ours. Being the blessing in Yehovah’s hand to others instead of being of the “give me” frame of mind. Thanks for the good article. Shalom and be blessed!!

The early church had people overseeing the welfare of widows. Do you know of any thing set up for this? I know we each as individuals can help widows we know.

Google “sightedmoon YouTube” and look under “videos” for ALL Shabbat meetings.
Joe had an in-depth discussion on the topic
of tithes, widows and Sightedmoon’s stance on the subject.
      Hope that helps you.
