The Meaning of the Eighth Day Feast (Pt. 2 – “That I may Dwell with them”)

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family,

We read in Lev 23 all of Yehovah’s Feasts or His Appointed Times when we are to meet with Him. Most of you will book off-time for a dentist or doctor’s appointment, but for the Creator of the Universe, too many people have no time to spend with Him. Yehovah created these special moments in time so He could be with you, yet you spend your Sabbaths rushing around, or shopping and eating in restaurants, or watching football or baseball or some other brain dead program on TV. You waste that time when Yehovah wants to be with you.
Have you considered the scripture?

Exo 25:8  And let them make Me a sanctuary, so that I may dwell among them.

Do you hear the deep yearnings of the heart of Yehovah in these beautiful words? This is the exposing of His very deepest of desires: “… that I may dwell among them!” These precious words should bring such joy, comfort, and encouragement to our hearts as we realize that it is Yehovah Himself who is longing to dwell among us!
Yehovah yearns to have an intimate relationship with each one of you. More than you ever imagined.

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29  For whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. 30  But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, those He also justified. And whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

This was the very heart of Yehovah in creation, as He created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. Then at the close of that sixth day He made man, male and female. He created them in His own image and after His own likeness. He carefully and tenderly formed the body of Adam from the dust of the ground and then, placing His own mouth over the cold and lifeless face of Adam, He breathed into his nostrils the very breath of life, and Adam became a living soul! Yehovah Himself specially prepared a garden in Eden where He placed the man whom He had made, and in that Garden of Delight and Pleasantness, Yehovah walked with Adam and Eve and dwelt with them.

Gen 1:26  And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth. 27  And God created man in His image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female.
Gen 2:7  And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 8  And Jehovah God planted a garden eastward in Eden. And there He put the man whom He had formed. 9  And out of the ground Jehovah God caused to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food. The tree of life also was in the middle of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:15  And Jehovah God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree in the garden, 17 but you shall not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. For in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. 18 And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.

We all know after this, how Adam and Eve sinned and by doing so moved all of us away from Yehovah. The truth of that account is so heartbreaking, but do we realize that the deep yearnings in the heart of Yehovah have never changed?

Joh 17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

“That they might know you.”  Do you think about this? The ‘they’ in this verse is you. This is Yehshua praying to the Father about you. Do you consider it when you walk away from one of His Appointments so that you can work at your job or do your own pleasure?
“That I may dwell among them”—this is the heart cry of Yehovah throughout both the Law and the Prophets! Check out the following verses.

Gen 17:7  And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you. 8  And I will give the land to you in which you are a stranger, and to your seed after you, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. And I will be their God.
Exo 25:8  And let them make Me a sanctuary, so that I may dwell among them.
Exo 29:45  And I will dwell among the sons of Israel, and will be their God. 46  And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt so that I may dwell among them. I am Jehovah their God.
Lev 26:11  And I will set My tabernacle among you. And My soul shall not abhor you. 12  And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people.
Num 35:34  So do not defile the land which you shall inhabit, in which I dwell. For I Jehovah dwell among the sons of Israel.
Jer 31:1  At that time, says Jehovah, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.
Jer 31:33  but this shall be the covenant that I will cut with the house of Israel: After those days, says Jehovah, I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Jer 24:7  And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am Jehovah; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God. For they shall return to Me with their whole heart.
Jer 30:22  And you shall be My people, and I will be your God.
Jer 32:38  And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
Eze 11:19  And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will remove the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh, 20  so that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
Eze 36:28  And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers. And you shall be My people, and I will be your God.
Eze 37:27  And My tabernacle shall be with them. Yea, I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Zec 13:9  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, It is My people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.

“That I may dwell among them”

This heart cry of Yehovah can be clearly heard in His declaring the name of Messiah as “Immanuel” or “God with us”

Isa 7:14  So, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel.
H6005     ????????     ?imma?nu?’e?l     im-maw-noo-ale’
From H5973 and H410 with suffix pronoun inserted; with us (is) God;
Isa 8:8  And he shall pass through Judah. He shall overflow and go over; he shall reach to the neck. And the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.
Mat 1:23  “Behold, the virgin shall conceive in her womb, and will bear a son. And they will call His name Emmanuel,” which being interpreted is, God with us.
Joh 1:14  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

My heart aches as I think about these facts. “The Word (who was Yehovah) became flesh and dwelt among us!” And it is this same “Word” Yehovah, whom we nailed to the tree and murdered. He wants to dwell with us so much and yet we refuse to obey Him nor will we dwell with Him.
The New Testament also says over and over how much Yehovah wants to dwell with us.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever, 17  the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you. 18  I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.

Last week over and over again we told you that the secret to gaining wisdom and knowledge and understanding, the secret to be loved by Yehovah and the only way to put on that righteousness that we need in order to be at the wedding is by obeying the commandments, His words. And we have just read it again.

2Co 6:16  And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” 17  Therefore come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you 18  and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
Rom 8:9  But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. 10  And if Christ is in you, indeed the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11  But if the Spirit of the One who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised up Christ from the dead shall also make your mortal bodies alive by His Spirit who dwells in you.
Eph 3:17  that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18  may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, 19  and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.
Eph 4:4  There is one body and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling, 5  one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6  one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all.
2Ti 1:14  Guard the good Deposit given through the Holy Spirit indwelling in us.
Heb 8:10  “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My Laws into their mind and write them in their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
1Jn 1:3  that which we have seen and heard we declare unto you, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
1Jn 4:12  No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13  By this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14  And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15  Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him and he in God. 16  And we have known and believed the love that God has in us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

And then in the closing chapters of the book of the Revelation we see this unrelenting pursuit of Yehovah triumphantly realized in words of victory as John writes, “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God!’” Rev. 21:3 This is the will of Yehovah and His kingdom being fulfilled on earth as it is in heaven! This is what we are to pray for, as this is the unrelenting longing and pursuit of Yehovah; and He will be victorious!

Mat 6:10  Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

I believe that we can now all undeniably see that the heart of Yehovah for His people is “that I may dwell among them.”

Eph 2:18  For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. 19  Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, 20  and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21  in whom every building having been fitly framed together, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord; 22  in whom you also are built together for a dwelling place of God through the Spirit.

Again I say to you brethren and those who seek to be a part of the Kingdom of Yehovah, you must keep the commandments in order for Yehovah to dwell with us.

Joh 14:15  If you love Me, keep My commandments.
1Jn 2:3  And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments. 4  He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5  But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.

1Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.

The 7th Day Sabbath

We read of these commandments in Exodus 20 when all of Israel agreed to keep them in a “blood covenant” at Mount Sinai.

Exo 20:1  And God spoke all these words, saying,
Exo 20:2  I am Jehovah your God, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exo 20:3  You shall have no other gods before Me.
Exo 20:4  You shall not make to yourselves any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Exo 20:5  You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them. For I Jehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation of those that hate me,

Exo 20:6  and showing mercy to thousands of those that love Me and keep My commandments.

Yehovah shows grace/mercy to those

WHO KEEPS THE COMMANDMENTS. IT IS THESE WHO LOVE ME.

Exo 20:7  You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain. For Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain.
Exo 20:8  Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9  Six days you shall labor and do all your work.
Exo 20:10  But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Jehovah your God. You shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger within your gates.
Exo 20:11  For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and sanctified it.

When we then read Leviticus 23 we learn that there are more than just the weekly Sabbath. We also learn that the weekly 7th Day Sabbath is also an APPOINTED TIME, when we have an appointment to meet Yehovah.

Lev 23:1  And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 2  Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, The feasts of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim, holy convocations, even these are My appointed feasts. 3  Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work. It is a Sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwellings. 4  These are the appointed feasts of Jehovah, holy convocations which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons.

I do not want you all to forget that for the past two weeks and this week as well, we have only been talking about the Feast of the 8th Day. Chanukah and the Feast of Dedication and The Meaning of the Eighth Day-Part One
A dear friend recently sent me a book explaining all the Holy Days by Fred Coulter. Out of 575 pages of detailed teachings about each of these Holy Days, this book only has 18 pages dedicated to the Eighth Day Feast. Many of the Churches of God do the same thing, giving the same old sermons each year on this Feast day, never grasping the immensity of this one day. Yehovah, I pray we not do the same thing, but that we step back and see the bigger picture as you desire us to see.
We read in Genesis the promise that Adam would die the day he ate of the forbidden tree.

Gen 2:16  And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree in the garden, 17  but you shall not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. For in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

But then we go on to read how Adam had Cain and Abel and the things that happened with them. We also read how Adam and Eve then had Seth. After all of this we read about Adam dying at age 930. He did not die the same day he ate of the fruit of the forbidden tree.

Gen 5:1  This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them. And He called their name man in the day when they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and fathered a son in his own likeness, after his own image. And he called his name Seth. 4 And the days of Adam after he had fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters. 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years. And he died.

So what is Yehovah saying when He told Adam that in the day he ate the fruit he would die? Obviously with hindsight to aid us we now know that “the day” Yehovah was speaking of was a millennial day. And for all of you who understand, that one millennial day is made up of 20 Jubilee Cycles of 49 years each. This then makes one millennial year 980 years in length.
We also read of the two other scriptures where millennial days are mentioned in the scriptures;

Psa 90:4  For a thousand years in Your sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
2Pe 3:8  But, beloved, let not this one thing be hidden from you, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9  The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I have below two charts which are the same length of time. One is counting using the Gregorian years, and the other is using the Jubilee Cycles of 49 years each. We have explained this in ‘The Prophecies of Abraham’ and ‘Remembering the Sabbatical Year of 2016?
You can now see and understand that one day is 980 years in length. Adam died at the age of 930 and as Yehovah said in the same day the same millennial day that he ate the fruit he would die, and he did die.
Yehshua was on the tree with the thief and told him that he would be with Yehshua the same day in paradise.

Luk 23:39  And one of the hanged criminals blasphemed Him, saying, If you are Christ, save Yourself and us. 40 But answering, the other rebuked him, saying, Do you not fear God, since you are in the same condemnation. 41 And we indeed justly so, for we receive the due reward of our deeds, but this Man has done nothing amiss. 42 And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom. 43 And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you shall be with Me in Paradise.

How could the thief go to heaven or paradise that same day, when Yehshua was going to be in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights. Keep in mind that Yehshua also said;

Joh 3:13  And no one has ascended up to Heaven except He who came down from Heaven, the Son of Man who is in Heaven.

We will talk more about this later, but for now understand that the thief rose with the rest of the Saints on that Sabbath afternoon AFTER Yehshua had come out of the grave leading the host of captives with Him.

Psa 68:18  You have gone up on high; You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts for men, yes, for the rebellious also, that You might dwell among them, O Jehovah God.
Eph 4:8  Therefore He says, “When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.” 9  (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is the same also as He who ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things.)

We read of this great event in Matthew.

Mat 27:50  And crying again with a loud voice, Jesus released His spirit. 51And, behold! The veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And the earth quaked, and the rocks were sheared, 52 and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep arose, 53 and coming out of the tomb after His resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Yehshua died in 31 C.E., and that millennial day ended in 84 C.E. The Thief arose with those Saints when Yehshua rose from the dead that Sabbath day.

So now the weekly 7th Day Sabbath is then equated to the 7th Millennium. I think you all can now see this. From our understanding of the Sabbath and that it is a day of rest, we can then expect the 7th Millennium to also be a day of rest or a millennium of rest. That is 980 years.
Take note: we are currently in the year 5850 after the creation of Adam ( AC-After Creation) also known as 2014 C.E. This means we are just 30 years away from the 7th Millennium when the earth and those of us in it will have our Sabbatical rest.

Rev 20:1  And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. 3  And he cast him into the abyss and shut him up and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little time. 4  And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor his image, nor had received his mark on their foreheads, nor in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5  But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6  Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years. 7  And when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison. 8  And he will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle. The number of them is as the sand of the sea.

We also must point out that Genesis 6:3 is speaking of 120 periods of time.

Gen 6:3  And Jehovah said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, in his erring; he is flesh. Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.

The word translated as years is the Hebrew word ‘Shanah” which means 120 periods of time or 120 Jubilee Cycles.

H8141     ????    ????     sha?neh  sha?na?h     shaw-neh’, shaw-naw’
(The first form being in plural only, the second form being feminine); from H8138; a year (as a revolution of time): –  + whole age, X long, + old, year (X -ly).

120 Jubilee Cycles is 120 X 49 years per Jubilee Cycle which is 5880 years in total and we are now at 5850 currently.
The 7th Day weekly Sabbath is then compared to the 7th Millennial Rest. Again in all of this we are learning about the 8th Day Feast. We have also learned that Yehovah desires to dwell with us here on earth and that we need to ask for knowledge and understanding and wisdom to understand the plan of salvation that Yehovah is teaching us. And we also learned in our first teaching that the Feast of Dedication is the Eighth Day and not in the 9th month on the 25th day.
Holy Days of Unleavened Bread
When we go back to Lev 23 the next Holy Days spoken of after the weekly Sabbath is the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Lev 23:4  These are the appointed feasts of Jehovah, holy convocations which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons. 5  In the fourteenth day of the first month, between the evenings, is Jehovah’s Passover, 6  and on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to Jehovah. You must eat unleavened bread seven days. 7  On the first day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor, 8  but you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah seven days. In the seventh day is a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor.

How is the 7 days of Unleavened Bread associated with the Eighth Day Feast? What is the meaning of the Days of Unleavened Bread?
Leavening, for the purpose of the spring festival season, represents sin. The apostle Paul refers to it as “the leaven of malice and wickedness”.

1Co 5:6  Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7  Therefore purge out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. 8  Therefore let us keep the feast; not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Other scriptures similarly identify leaven with hypocrisy and false teaching. During this festival, leavening is portrayed as wickedness that we all must strive to overcome.

Luk 12:1  In the meantime, when there had gathered together an innumerable crowd of people, so as to trample on one another, He began to say to His disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

We are commanded to remove leaven from our homes and property and not eat anything leavened for seven days, and to instead eat “the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” (1 Corinthians:5:8).
The Days of Unleavened Bread tie deeply into what we have revealed at the opening of this News Letter. These days picture the promise Yehshua made that was to be fulfilled after He was raised to life. Yehshua promised that He and the Father would make Their home in our hearts.

Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.
Col 1:26  the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27  For to them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory, 28 whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

And as we eat unleavened bread during this festival, we are reminded that Yehshua, the “bread of life” and the “living bread which came down from heaven” is the ultimate example of the sincerity and truth the unleavened bread represents. We desire with all our being to have the Holy One living in us.

Joh 6:35  And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes on Me shall never thirst.
Joh 6:51  I am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he shall live forever. And truly the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

As you read these scriptures keep in mind we are talking about the Days of Unleavened Bread yet these verses tie into the next Feast to come which is Pentecost. We will get to that in a moment.

Observing the Days of Unleavened Bread also reminds us that it is not our own innate or self-generated righteousness that enables us to overcome sins. Rather, it is the righteousness that comes as a result of partaking of that Bread of Life, and His dwelling in us that empowers us to conquer sin.

As Paul writes, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians:2:20, King James Version).
The Days of Unleavened Bread teaches us about the resurrected Messiah who paid the price for our sins and that we are to put sin out of our lives and have the hope of eternal life through partaking of the true Bread of Life.

Again, step back and look at the Seven days of Unleavened Bread through the millennial glasses. For 7 millenium we will be removing sin from our lives. During these 7 millenniums we will learn the price of sin and in the 7th millennium what is it like to actually live according to the Torah as a whole society without Satan’s influence. During these 7 millenniums we are to be as the Bride that makes herself spotless and preparing for the wedding day. But there is another couple of verses we must look at.

Rev 13:7  And it was given to it to war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and tongue and nation. 8  And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain, from the foundation of the world.
1Pe 1:17  And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to the work of each one, pass the time of your earthly residence in fear, 18  knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, 19  but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot; 20  indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times for you, 21  those believing in God through Him, He who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

Just like the Passover Lamb is killed on the 14 day of the first month, the day before the First Day of Unleavened Bread begins, our Passover Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world, before the first of the 7 Millenniums began.

Another event to take notice of is that on the first Millennium Adam was put out of the Garden and he died. On the first day of Unleavened Bread the Death Angel ‘passed over’ the Israelites, this is where we get the name Passover from, when that Angel passed over the Israelites and killed the firstborn of Egypt.

Satan (the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil) entered the picture (the angel of death) and by his lies death entered the world. Adam the first born was killed that millennial day, the same way the firstborn of Egypt were killed on the first day of Unleavened Bread. Those who put the blood of the lamb on their door frames were passed over. For those who did not obey, their first born were killed. Satan’s power is death. It is the one thing we all fear. Yehovah created all things to live, not to die. Yet it is by Satan that we all die and that is when we become his captives in the grave.

Heb 2:14  Since then the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise partook of the same; that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death (that is, the Devil), 15  and deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Isa 65:17  For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the things before will not be remembered, nor come to mind. 18 But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and I will rejoice in My people; and the voice of weeping will no more be heard in her, nor the voice of crying be heard in her. 20 There will not be an infant, nor an old man that has not filled his days. For the child will die a hundred years old; but the sinner who is a hundred years old will be despised.
Joh 12:30  Jesus answered and said, This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sakes. 31  Now is the judgment of this world. Now shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32  And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to Myself.
Joh 16:8  And when that One comes, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment. 9  Concerning sin, because they do not believe on Me; 10  concerning righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11  concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

Something else happens during these days of Unleavened Bread. Yehshua was killed on the 14 day of the month. In our millennial outlook that is before the foundation of the world. He is dead for three days and three nights in the earth. At the end of the 3rd day He is resurrected. In our millennial charts this is at the end of the third millennial day. It was in 966 B.C. that Solomon completed the construction of the Temple just as the 3rd Millennial day was ending. The temple stood until it was destroyed in 70 C.E. at the end of the 4th Millennial day. On the 4th day after His death, which is the 18th day of the first month, making the 17th day the Sabbath (this fact alone proves all the lunar Sabbath people who say the sabbath is on the 14th or the 15th day of each month, starting when the moon is first sighted, to be false teachings and those promoting it, liars.) Yehshua ascended to the Temple of Yehovah that Sunday morning at 9 AM, the time of the morning prayers.

When Yehshua came out of that grave on Saturday afternoon, and then ascended on that Sunday morning to the Father he led the grave, ie. captivity captive.

Eph 4:8  Therefore He says, “When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.”

And now we come to the verse that many read on the Eighth Day which ties much of what we have now just looked at together.

Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13  And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works. 14  And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. 15  And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.

Death and the grave were cast into the lake of fire. Death and burying of the dead will be no more. This is one of the main themes of the 8th Day and here we have the seeds of it being laid during the days of Unleavened Bread and in the middle of our millennial week. Those who came out of the grave having defeated death Saturday afternoon, went with Yehshua Sunday, the 4th day after he was killed. The fourth Millennium after the lamb was slain from the foundation of the world, that same Lamb then ascended to heaven with those first fruits.
Now we have also just covered the next part of Lev 23 without you realizing it.

Lev 23:9  And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 10  Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest of it, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. 11  And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah to be received for you. On the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12  And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to Jehovah. 13  And its food offering shall be two-tenths part of fine flour mixed with oil, a fire offering to Jehovah for a sweet savor. And the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. 14  And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the same day, until you have brought an offering to your God. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Earlier in this News Letter we talked about the Thief on the tree and how he rose with Yehshua and the rest of the Saints according to Mat 27.

Mat 27:52  and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep arose, 53  and coming out of the tomb after His resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

This is the barley offering being spoken of in Lev 23. This is the first of two wave offerings. This wave offering was the best of the First Fruits. It was an example of the rest of the harvest to come. But it had to be offered, or waved first before any of the rest of the harvest could be done.

I also said above that Yehshua said no man had gone to heaven accept the son of man who came down from heaven. But we read in Revelation about 24 elders. Where did they come from?

Rev 4:4  And around the throne I saw twenty-four thrones. And on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white clothing. And they had crowns of gold on their heads.

The meaning of that word elders is the following and it means ancestors.

??????????? (presbuteros): older; ancestral; (n.) in the Gospels and Acts, “elder,” usually as an official leader of the Jewish community, in the epistles, “older man” and “older woman,” who may or may not be official leaders of the church, depending on the context elder (G4245)

For He has torn, and He will heal us; He has stricken, and He will bind us up.

The 24 elders are 24 ancestors, that is 24 of the Saints who rose with Yehshua are now sitting on thrones wearing white robes of Righteousness who once walked this earth. These are the first fruits which the barley represents.

1Co 15:16  For if the dead are not raised, then Christ is not raised. 17And if Christ is not raised, your faith is foolish; you are yet in your sins. 18Then also those that fell asleep in Christ were lost. 19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20But now Christ has risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruit of those who slept. 21For since death is through man, the resurrection of the dead also is through a Man. 22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own order: Christ the first-fruit, and afterward they who are Christ’s at His coming; 24then is the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He makes to cease all rule and all authority and power.

Let us then conclude this week’s study.

Yehovah desires to dwell with us but we must keep the rules of the Kingdom, which is the ten commandments. We are to put sin out of our lives in order to be a part of that Kingdom. Yehshua was the first fruit to come back to life from the grave defeating Satan who has the power of death and the grave until that time. The 24 elders are those first fruits who were once human beings on this earth and came out of the grave when Yehshua did as we read in Matthew. This is represented by the barley wave offering each year. The 7 days of Unleavened Bread are represented in the 7 millennial days.
One more thing before we wrap this up.

The Seventh Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is represented by the time when the Egyptian armies were destroyed when the frozen walls of water came crashing back down on them after Israel had crossed over the Red Sea. This represents the time at the end of the 7th millennium when Satan will be cast into the lake of fire along with the grave and death.

Rev 20:10  And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Rev 20:14  And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.

The First Day of Unleavened Bread when the angel of death passed over those who obeyed is similar to the first born Adam being killed that first millennial day for not obeying. And the Last Day of Unleavened Bread when the Egyptian Army is destroyed is symbolic of the 7th millennium when Satan will be destroyed along with death and the grave.

Next week I was going to talk about Pentecost and how it relates to the 8th Day Feast, but we must also first explain about those who go to heaven or hell when they die and we must also explain about the Menorah as it ties into Pentecost. There is so much more to share, so stay tuned.
