Bring the Scrolls & Why Do We Fast on Atonement?

Joseph F. Dumond

Isa 6:9-12 And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed. Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation, and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Shabbat Shalom to the Royal Family of Yehovah,

Pause and Think

Douglas Gifford sent me a note this week which actually floored me. HE wrote to tell me that with the passing of the Feast of Trumpets last week that we have now moved into the last 3 1/2 Sabbatical Cycles of this 120th Jubilee cycle. There is now less than 3 1/2 Sabbatical Cycles until the 7th Millennium begins. Let that sink in. WE all know this is correct and we have been so busy that this moment almost passed us by unknown. But also consider that in the time remaining whether or not my chronology is correct, or my sequence of events is right, we all know how little time is left and as such we also all know that all those end-time prophecies must be fulfilled in the remaining time allowed. Again let that sink in.

With this Day of Atonement, it will be just 13 more years until Satan is locked away and our Messiah has come. Something else to think about.

Lev 23:42  You shall live in booths seven days. All that are born Israelites shall live in booths,

Lev 23:43  so that your generations may know that I made the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah your God.

Sold

After just one weekend of showings and over 20 different groups going through our home Friday afternoon and all day Sunday, our beloved home was sold conditionally last weekend August 17, 2020. It cleared all the conditions as of Monday, August 24, 2020. We got a little more than I was asking which was $170,000 less than I felt it was worth and yet for a nicer home exactly like ours, on a not so nice location we sold for $150,000 more than they did. We have to be out by Nov. 5, 2020.

There have been and well be more tears shed as we go through this process. Buckets of tears. I have been working my tail off to make it presentable and to correct al those things I have put off for years. I have wanted to sell since January 2020, but my wife only agreed to sell this past July. She has heard of my desire to go to the Philippines to teach. And with the sale of our home, she has said and continues to say that once this deal is closed our marriage of 42 years will also come to a close. I am trying everything I can to keep it going, but the only way that we can continue to be married is if I give up my Sabbaths, my Holy Days, my teachings on the Sabbath, and get rid of all my books and everything I have related to Torah and Yehovah. She does not want to hear it and see anything associated with Yehovah any more.

I cannot do that.

Some of you have thought yourselves marriage counsellors and have called to tell me that God told you to tell me to put this stuff away for a while in order to save my marriage. These marriage counsellors have said God told them personally for me to stop preaching and teaching to save my marriage. Yehovah knows I do not listen to idiots who say they talk to Yehovah everyday face to face. Yehovah is great enough to know how to reach me if He wants to. He has reached me through His words written in HIs Bible. I do not need some self-proclaimed……. to step in a try and save my marriage. No.

Here is what He says.

Have No Fear

Luk 12:4  And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Luk 12:5  But I will warn you of whom you shall fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear Him.

Luk 12:6  Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria? And not one of them is forgotten before God.

Luk 12:7  But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows.

Acknowledge Christ Before Men

Luk 12:8  Also I say to you, Whoever shall confess Me before men, the Son of Man also shall confess him before the angels of God.

Luk 12:9  But he who denies Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Luk 12:10  And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him. But to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven.

Luk 12:11  And when they bring you into the synagogues, and to rulers and authorities, take no thought as to how or what thing you shall answer, or what you shall say.

Luk 12:12  For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say.

You Must Be Ready

Luk 12:35  Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning.

Luk 12:36  And you yourselves be like men who wait for their lord, whenever he shall return from the wedding, so that when he comes and knocks, they may open to him immediately.

Luk 12:37  Blessed are those servants whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Truly I say to you that he shall gird himself and make them recline; and coming up he will serve them.

Luk 12:38  And if he comes in the second watch, or comes in the third watch, and find it so, blessed are those servants.

Luk 12:39  And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through.

Luk 12:40  Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man comes at an hour when you think not.

Luk 12:41  And Peter said to Him, Lord, do You speak this parable to us or also to all?

Luk 12:42  And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward whom his lord shall set over his house servants, to give them their portion of food in season?

Luk 12:43  Blessed is that servant when his lord comes and finds him so doing.

Luk 12:44  Truly I say to you that he will set him over all his possessions.

Luk 12:45  But if that servant says in his heart, My lord delays his coming, and shall begin to beat the male servants and women servants, and to eat and drink and to be drunk,

Luk 12:46  the lord of that servant will come in a day when he does not expect, and at an hour when he does not know. And he will cut him apart, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Luk 12:47  And that servant who knew his lord’s will and did not prepare, nor did according to His will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Luk 12:48  But he not knowing, and doing things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For to whomever much is given, of him much shall be required. And to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Not Peace, but Division

Luk 12:49  I have come to send fire on the earth. And what will I do if it is already kindled?

Luk 12:50  But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how I am pressed down until it is accomplished!

Luk 12:51  Do you suppose that I have come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.

Luk 12:52  For from now on, there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

Luk 12:53  The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

Mic 7:5  Put no trust in a friend; put no hope in a guide; keep the door of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom.

Mic 7:6  For the son dishonors the father; the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s enemies are the men of his own household.

Mic 7:7  Therefore I will look to Jehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me!

Persecution Will Come

Mat 10:16  Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.

Mat 10:17  But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to the sanhedrins, and they will scourge you in their synagogues.

Mat 10:18  And you shall be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the nations.

Mat 10:19  But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak; for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak.

Mat 10:20  For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Mat 10:21  And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. And the children shall rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death.

Mat 10:22  And you will be hated of all men for My name’s sake, but the one who endures to the end shall be kept safe.

Mat 10:23  But when they persecute you in this city, flee into another; for truly I say to you, In no way shall you have finished the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes.

Mat 10:24  A disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

Mat 10:25  It is enough for the disciple that he is like his master, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?

Have No Fear

Mat 10:26  Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, and nothing hidden which shall not be known.

Mat 10:27  What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear, proclaim on the housetops.

Mat 10:28  And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Mat 10:29  Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

Mat 10:30  But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

Mat 10:31  Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows.

Mat 10:32  Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in Heaven.

Mat 10:33  But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.

Not Peace, but a Sword

Mat 10:34  Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to send peace, but a sword.

Mat 10:35  For I have come to set a man against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

Mat 10:36  And a man’s foes shall be those of his own household.

Mat 10:37  He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

Mat 10:38  And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

Mat 10:39  He who finds his life shall lose it. And he who loses his life for My sake shall find it.

Rewards

Mat 10:40  He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

Mat 10:41  He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a just one in the name of a just one will receive a just one’s reward.

Mat 10:42  And whoever shall give to one of these little ones a cup of cold water to drink, only in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, He shall in no way lose his reward.

Am I to do as those false marriage counsellors suggested and as my wife wants? Am I do deny that I am a follower of Yehovah?

In 2005 I stood where the temple once stood on what was my last day in Jerusalem on that first tour. I was in love with the place. As I looked out over the Kidron above the Gihon Spring I told Yehovah I would stick my neck out and I would speak out about the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. All I asked Him to do was to keep me in the truth and not mixed up in any more lies. That day we were to go to the Valley of Elah. My first time there. And now I have been there 18 times and each time I ask those who come with me the same question I was asked on my first trip to the City of Two Gates.

I explain to the group about the story of David. We normally read the entire story in Samuel about how Israel coward in the mountains while Goliath cursed and mocked Yehovah and Israel. Then, David, the shepherd boy heard the giant and was enraged that he would dare to speak of Yehovah is such a way and Davids’s anger grew as he saw no one in Israel ready to stand up for Yehovah’s name. After we read all 1 Samuel 17, I point to the mountains spoken of in the narrative. I show them where the Philistines were running past this city they are standing in at the very gate David would have gone through to kill Goliath. Then we read what was read to me that very first time I was in Israel to which I have never forgotten.

Isaiah’s Commission from the Lord

Isa 6:8  And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I; send me!

That Last Day of our Tour. That final day just hours before I got back on the plane to come back home in 2005 when I was asked this question. When all of us were asked “Who is going to stand in the gap for Yehovah?”, I heard myself say out loud Here I am Lord, send me. I said it out loud.

What did I know in 2005? I only knew about the 120 Jubilees and how we were in the final one. I only knew that Daniel 9 was talking about the middle of the 70th Jubilee and that bad things would begin at that time which would lead to the destruction of the USA and the UK as well as Canada Australia and the other Israelite nations. What did I know about teaching Torah then? Nothing. Nor did I have a clue how to go about doing this work. I just kept trying to share what I knew with as many people as I could and in the process, many of them came to hate me for daring to say Israel was about to be destroyed. After many frustrating years of trying to explain this to people, I decided to go back and read the rest of that verse in Isaiah that I had agreed to back in the Valley of Elah. Here is what it said.

Isa 6:9  And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know.

Isa 6:10  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed.

Isa 6:11  Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation,

Isa 6:12  and until Jehovah has moved men far away, and the desolation in the midst of the land is great.

Isa 6:13  But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return and be consumed like the terebinth and like the oak being felled, yet has its stump; the holy seed is its stump.

Always read the small print before you sign a contract. I never knew how long I would have to do this for. Now you all know what I learned many years ago.

I have as the very first thing on my web site the following quote. I want you to read the whole thing.

Zion’s Coming Salvation

Isa 62:1  For Zion’s sake I will not be silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until its righteousness goes out as brightness, and her salvation as a burning lamp.

Isa 62:2  And the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah will name.

Isa 62:3  You also will be a crown of glory in the hand of Jehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

Isa 62:4  You will no more be called Forsaken; nor will your land any more be called Desolate; but you will be called My Delight is in her, and your land, Married; for Jehovah delights in you, and your land is married.

Isa 62:5  For as a young man marries a virgin, so will your sons marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

Isa 62:6  I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, who will not always be silent all the day nor all the night; you who remember Jehovah, do not be silent.

Isa 62:7  And give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Isa 62:8  Jehovah has sworn by His right hand, and by the arm of His strength, Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies; and the sons of strangers will not drink your wine for which you have labored.

Isa 62:9  But its gatherers will eat it and praise Jehovah; and they who collected it will drink it in My holy courts.

Isa 62:10  Pass! Pass through the gates; prepare the way of the people. Raise up! Raise up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a banner for the peoples.

Isa 62:11  Behold, Jehovah has sent a message to the end of the earth, Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.

Isa 62:12  And they will call them, The Holy People, The Redeemed of Jehovah; and you will be called, Sought Out, a city not forsaken.

Had I of listened to those false marriage counsellors, had I of given in to my wife’s demands then I would be dead the same as the prophet was killed in 1 Kings for I have taken an oath and spoken it out loud to do this work until the end.

1Ki 13:6  And the king answered and said to the man of God, Seek now the face of Jehovah your God, and pray for me, and my hand may be given back to me again. And the man of God prayed to Jehovah, and the king’s hand was given back to him again, and became as at the beginning.

1Ki 13:7  And the king said to the man of God, Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward.

1Ki 13:8  And the man of God said to the king, If you will give me half your house, I will not go in with you, nor will I eat bread nor drink water in this place.

1Ki 13:9  For so was it commanded me by the Word of Jehovah, saying, Eat no bread nor drink water, nor return again by the same way that you came.

1Ki 13:10  And he went another way, and did not return by the way he came to Bethel.

The Prophet’s Disobedience

1Ki 13:11  And a certain old prophet was living in Bethel, and his son came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel. The words which he had spoken to the king they also told to their father.

1Ki 13:12  And their father said to them, Where is this man? What way did he go? For his sons had seen what way the man of God, who came from Judah, had gone.

1Ki 13:13  And he said to his sons, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled the ass for him, and he rode on it,

1Ki 13:14  and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. And he said to him, Are you the man of God who came from Judah? And he said, I am.

1Ki 13:15  And he said to him, Come home with me and eat bread.

1Ki 13:16  And he said, I may not return with you nor go in with you, nor will I eat bread or drink water with you in this place.

1Ki 13:17  For a word was to me by the Word of Jehovah, You shall eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that you came.

1Ki 13:18  And he said to him, I am a prophet also as you are. And an angel spoke to me by the Word of Jehovah, saying, Bring him back with you into your house, so that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied to him.

1Ki 13:19  So he went back with him and ate bread in his house, and drank water.

1Ki 13:20  And it happened as they sat at the table, the Word of Jehovah came to the prophet who brought him back.

1Ki 13:21  And he cried to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, So says Jehovah, Because you have not obeyed the mouth of Jehovah and have not kept the command which Jehovah your God commanded you,

1Ki 13:22  but came back and have eaten bread and have drunk water in the place which He said to you, You shall not eat bread nor drink water, your body shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.

1Ki 13:23  And after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, it happened that he saddled the ass for him, for the prophet whom he had brought back.

1Ki 13:24  And he left, and a lion met him by the way and killed him. And his dead body was thrown in the highway, and the ass stood by it, and the lion also stood by the body.

1Ki 13:25  And behold, men passed by and saw the body thrown in the way, and the lion standing by the body. And they came and told it in the city where the old prophet lived.

1Ki 13:26  And when the prophet who brought him back from the way heard, he said, It is the man of God who did not obey the Word of Jehovah. And Jehovah has delivered him to the lion, which has torn him and killed him, according to the Word of Jehovah which He spoke to him.

1Ki 13:27  And he spoke to his sons, saying, Saddle the ass for me. And they saddled it.

1Ki 13:28  And he went and found his body thrown in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the body. The lion had not eaten the body nor torn the ass.

1Ki 13:29  And the prophet took up the dead body of the man of God, and laid it on the ass and brought it back. And the prophet came to the city to mourn and to bury him.

1Ki 13:30  And he laid his body in his own grave. And they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother!

1Ki 13:31  And it happened after he had buried him, he spoke to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the tomb in which the man of God is buried. Lay my bones beside his bones,

1Ki 13:32  for the saying which he cried by the Word of Jehovah against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.

Brethren, I say all of this to you so you can maybe understand me a little. I have walked this walk since 1982. I was excited to learn about the Sabbath and the Holy Days and the gazillion other things that I was learning all these years. I am still excited, although much more worn out and beaten down since I first started. I have prayed for my wife and three children and then later for their spouses and now my 5 grandchildren. I have not stopped praying for them all these years. Today they all hate me and do not talk to me, even though I do not talk to them about religious things unless they ask. The loneliness is at times more than I can stand. Yet I believe Yehovah has a plan for my family and will do miracles in the future which will be written in the future book of Acts. I must let Him do what He is going to do and I must complete what I have said I would do. Here I am Yehovah Send me.

And I realize many of you are in the same situations or similar ones.

We are going to raise a Banner at the end of the Earth and we are going to announce our Salvation, our Yehshua, our Redeemer is about to come. I will finish the work Yehovah has called me to do.  I love my wife. I have loved her all 42 years of our marriage. I will love her after we close the house deal and she leaves. And I will love her as I go about my Fathers business. Here I am Yehovah You can still send me.

Over the next 2 months, as I help to move my wife and pack up all our belongings, I am going to warn you now I could be a little short in my responses. In other words, I might be quick to anger if someone pushes my buttons. I am tired and worn out and my world around me is a complete shambles. I am asking for your grace and prayers during this time. We are in the process of setting up a base in the Philippines, at the ends of the earth. We have a number of people helping praise Yehovah because my mind might not be all there for a while as I work through the emotions that are already on full display. Please forgive me if I snap or if I am not as mannerly as you would expect me for the next little while. This is not an excuse, but I am asking for your understanding in case I am not able to control myself sometimes over the next few months.

Dire distress and extreme danger to life or property

Have you ever seen an upside down American flag? We certainly hope not, but it is possible that you have. If you have spotted this at some point in your life, did you understand the symbolism?  In general, members of the United States Military would be most likely to recognize this signal. Nonetheless, allow us to explain with a little help from the United States Flag Code.

8. Respect for Flag

The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
Quick interpretation: “Dire distress and extreme danger to life or property” should not be taken lightly here. These instances do not include moments of personal dissatisfaction or times of protest. While it is legal to express yourself in whatever way you so chose, it is illegal to fly an American flag upside down unless you are in a life or death situation. People have faced legal charges for flying an American flag upside down. Stores have also been forced to remove upside down American flags on clothing.

This past week saw the USA hit by a tropical storm that was almost a hurricane and then two days later another Hurricane hit the south coast. At the same time, the USA is dealing with wildfires up and down the west coast in unprecedented numbers. People are getting used to wildfire now, but they usually come in October. Now they come and they never seem to leave and they have never been this bad in August. The new normal has changed again. And add to that or along with that the COVID numbers in the USA remain elevated and not slowing down. Then on August 23, 2020, another black man was shot by Police in Wisconsin. Riots then broke out over this. And as they do I am reminded of the things Cyrus Harding said in our interview about how things this fall would get crazy real fast and I again think about the Pastor Dana and his dreams for this fall and how he was and is moved to tears about the coming wrath in October and November that he has dreamed about.

We don’t have dreams to rely on, nor do we have theories about the moon and its reflection of gamma rays and just how close it is to the earth when it orbits us. No all we have and have had is the word of Yehovah and it has been showing me since 2005, that in the middle of this 70th Jubilee Cycle, the anointed people of Yehovah would be cut off and be as if they never were. Few if any have believed our message. But hundreds and hundreds of thousands have believed the dreams of some man. I will stick with the word and wait for Him to fulfill the things He has said would come.

This next picture is Lev 26 coming to reality from the pages of your Bible. It is the second curse.

Lev 26:18  And if you will not yet listen to Me for all this, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

Lev 26:19  And I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heaven like iron and your earth like bronze.

Lev 26:20  And your strength shall be spent in vain. For your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the field yield their fruits.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the forecast for Hurricane Laura is stated as ‘Unsurvivable’: Hurricane Laura Reaches Catastrophic Category 4 Power, 20 Foot Storm Surge Expected. The first hurricane Marco died out as a tropical storm.

Hurricane Laura has now been upgraded to a powerful Category 4 storm as of Wednesday afternoon. And the latest warning from the National Hurricane Center says Hurricane Laura could slam the Gulf Coast with an “unsurvivable” storm surge of 20 feet.

The third curse of Lev 26 is also here in the USA. But do you or does the rest of the world see this as a curse from Yehovah? Does anyone repent and turn back to obeying Yehovah in order to have this curse removed?

Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the U.S. – Statistics & Facts

Published by John Elflein, Aug 26, 2020

The coronavirus (COVID-19) disease continues to spread around the world, with over 24 million cases and over 823 thousand deaths as of August 24, 2020. In the United States, the number of infections has risen dramatically since the first week of March, and the U.S. now has more confirmed cases and deaths than any other country worldwide. All 50 states have been affected, with New York reporting the highest number of deaths and California and Florida with the highest number of cases in the United States.

Lev 26:21  And if you walk contrary to Me, and will not listen to Me, I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.

Lev 26:22  I will also send wild beasts among you, who shall bereave you. And I will destroy your cattle, and make you few. And your highways shall be deserted.

On August 23, 2020, another black man was shot by police as he resisted arrest. Then in the riots on August 26 the anti was raised. Whites walking down the street with arms on full display were attacked and in that mele, they shot those attacking them.  The descent in anarchy and war has begun. This is part of the 4th curse of Lev 26. IN this next report we have seen the actual shooting on video but were not able to load it through youtube.

Lev 26:23  And if you will not be reformed by Me by these things, but will still walk contrary to Me,

Lev 26:24  then I will walk contrary to you and will punish you seven times more for your sins.

Lev 26:25  And I will bring a sword on you that shall execute the vengeance of the covenant. And when you are gathered inside your cities, I will send the plague among you. And you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

Lev 26:26  When I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight. And you shall eat and not be satisfied.

Lev 26:27  And if you will not for all of this listen to Me, but will walk contrary to Me,

Lev 26:28  then I will walk contrary to you also in fury. And I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

Lev 26:29  And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters you shall eat.

23 million Americans could face eviction in coming months

One in five U.S. households who rent their homes could face eviction by October as enhanced federal unemployment benefits and eviction moratoriums come to an end this summer, an analysis shows. Already, thousands of eviction cases are pending in a number of states.

Between 19 million and 23 million families that rent across the country are at risk of losing their homes by September 30, estimates the COVID-19 Eviction Defense Project, an advocacy group focused on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on housing.

All of this and everyone is still fighting. No on repents. We have The Day of Atonement this Sunday Agust 30, 2020 and no one is repenting. Are you?

Bring the Scrolls

The days from the Feast of Trumpets to the Day of Atonement are known as the 10 Days of Awe. It is said that the Book of Life is opened at this time and those who repent have an opportunity to have their names found in that book. This Book has been spoken about since the Exodus.

Exodus 32:32  And now will You forgive their sin! And if not, I pray You, blot me out of Your book which You have written.

Exodus 32:33  And Jehovah said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

Psalms 69:28  Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous.

Daniel 7:10  A stream of fire went out and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened.

Daniel 12:1  And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great ruler who stands for the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation; until that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Malachi 3:16  Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name.

Luke 10:20  Yet do not rejoice in this, that the evil spirits are subject to you, rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.

Philippians 4:3  And I also beg you, true yoke-fellow, help those women who labored in the gospel with me and with Clement, and others of my fellow-laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Revelation 3:5  The one who overcomes, this one will be clothed in white clothing. And I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 13:8  And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain, from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 17:8  The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to ascend out of the abyss and go into perdition. And those dwelling on the earth will marvel, those whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 20:12  And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelation 21:27  And there shall in no way enter into it anything that defiles, or any making an abomination or a lie; but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Is your name going to be found in those Books of Life? If you are reading this then my bet is your name will be found there. But…

You have to put on the white robes of righteousness which are His commandments.

Psa 119:172  My tongue shall speak Your Word, for all Your Commandments are righteousness.

Rev 6:9  And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held.

Rev 6:10  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Until when, Master, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?

Rev 6:11  And white robes were given to each one of them. And it was said to them that they should rest yet for a little time, until both their fellow servants and their brothers (those about to be killed as they were ) should have their number made complete.

Notice that it is Yehovah who is going to clothe you. And also notice with what He is clothing you.

Isa 61:10  I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul will be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the robes of salvation, He covered me with the robe of righteousness like a bridegroom adorns himself with ornaments, and like a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Isa 61:11  For as the earth comes out with its bud, and as the garden causes that which is sown to grow; so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to grow before all the nations.

The Robes of Salvation,

Isa 12:2  Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.

Isa 12:3  And with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

And again what does the English word salvation mean?

H3444   (Strong)
יְשׁוּעָה

yeshû‛âh

yesh-oo’-aw

Feminine passive participle of H3467; something saved, that is, (abstractly) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity: – deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.

To be found in the Book of LIfe we must put on or allow Yehovah to put on us the White Robes of Salvation and Righteousness. That is, we must allow Him to write the Torah on our hearts.

During these 10 Days of Awe is one Sabbath that is known as Shabbat Shuvah, which means the Sabbath of return. If that word Shuva reminds you of the word Teshuvah, that’s not a coincidence — they share a common root.

Teshuvah, or repentance, is a core concept of these Ten Days of Awe. Teshuva literally means “return.” Return to what? We are to return to Yehovah and His Torah.

These 10 Days of Awe are a solemn period of time. We all need to focus on returning to Yehovah and repenting so that our names can be found in that Book of Life.

On this Shabbat Shuva the following Torah portions are read.

A Plea to Return to the Lord

Hos 14:1  O Israel, return to Jehovah your God, for you have fallen by your iniquity.

Hos 14:2  Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.

Hos 14:3  Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride on horses. Nor shall we say any more to the work of our hands, Our gods, for in You the fatherless finds mercy.

Hos 14:4  I will heal their backslidings; I will love them freely; for My anger has turned away from him.

Hos 14:5  I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall grow as the lily and cast out his roots like Lebanon.

Hos 14:6  His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

Hos 14:7  They who dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive like the grain, and grow like the vine. Their scent shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

Hos 14:8  Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him and watched him; I am like a green fir tree. Your fruit is found from Me.

Hos 14:9  Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? Understanding, and he shall know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but sinners shall fall in them.

I want to point out the word “turn” in verse 2.

H7725   (Strong)
שׁוּב

shûb

shoob

A primitive root; to turn back (hence, away) transitively or intransitively, literally or figuratively (not necessarily with the idea of return to the starting point); generally to retreat; often adverbially again: –  ([break, build, circumcise, dig, do anything, do evil, feed, lay down, lie down, lodge, make, rejoice, send, take, weep]) X again, (cause to) answer (+ again), X in any case (wise), X at all, averse, bring (again, back, home again), call [to mind], carry again (back), cease, X certainly, come again (back) X consider, + continually, convert, deliver (again), + deny, draw back, fetch home again, X fro, get [oneself] (back) again, X give (again), go again (back, home), [go] out, hinder, let, [see] more, X needs, be past, X pay, pervert, pull in again, put (again, up again), recall, recompense, recover, refresh, relieve, render (again), X repent, requite, rescue, restore, retrieve, (cause to, make to) return, reverse, reward, + say nay, send back, set again, slide back, still, X surely, take back (off), (cause to, make to) turn (again, self again, away, back, back again, backward, from, off), withdraw.

Here is another scripture that is read on this day. Joel 2:15 is speaking of the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement.

Joe 2:15  Blow a trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn gathering.

Joe 2:16  Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, gather the elders, gather the children and those who suck the breasts. Let the bridegroom go forth out of his chamber, and the bride out of her room.

Joe 2:17  Let the priests, the ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Have pity on Your people, O Jehovah, and give not Your inheritance to shame, for a proverb among those of the nations. Why should they say among the people, Where is their God?

The Lord Had Pity

Joe 2:18  Then Jehovah will be jealous for His land and pity His people.

Joe 2:19  Yes, Jehovah will answer and say to His people, Behold, I will send you grain, and wine, and oil, and you shall be satisfied with it. And I will no more make you a curse among the nations.

Joe 2:20  But I will remove the northern army far from you, and will drive him into a barren and deserted land, with his face toward the eastern sea and his rear toward the western sea. And his stench shall come up, and his ill odor shall come up, because he was doing great things.

Joe 2:21  Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice. For Jehovah will do great things.

Joe 2:22  Do not be afraid, beasts of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness grow green; for the tree bears its fruit, and the fig tree and the vine yield their strength.

Joe 2:23  Be glad then, sons of Zion, and rejoice in Jehovah your God. For He has given you the former rain according to righteousness, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain in the first month.

Joe 2:24  And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

Joe 2:25  And I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the locust larvae, and the stripping locust, and the cutting locust, My great army which I sent among you.

Joe 2:26  And you shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of Jehovah your God, who has dealt with you wonderfully; and My people shall never be ashamed.

Joe 2:27  And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Jehovah your God, and no one else; and My people shall never be ashamed.

And still, others read the following as well on this day.

God’s Steadfast Love and Compassion

Mic 7:18  Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not keep His anger forever, because He delights in mercy.

Mic 7:19  He will turn again; He will have pity on us. He will trample our iniquities. Yea, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Mic 7:20  You will give faithfulness to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

I would like to remind you what Yehovah said at Mount Sinai.

Exo 20:5  You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them. For I Jehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation of those that hate me,

Exo 20:6  and showing mercy to thousands of those that love Me and keep My commandments.

He will forgive each of us and all of us if and when we repent. The thing we are not seeing in the nations which are dealing with the curses of Lev 26. Are you repenting? Do you take seriously that now is your time to get your name in that Book of Life? Return, Shoob, to Yehovah. Shoob to the Torah and obey it. Return to Him and bring the scrolls with HIs words in them so we can learn them together. Return to the Torah.

Why Do We Fast on Atonement?

Each year on the Day of Atonement we hear from those who say they do not need to fast or those who say they will not fast and those who say they cannot fast because they have a medical condition or they think they will die.

You are commanded to fast by Yehovah on the Day of Atonement.

The Day of Atonement

Lev 23:26  And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Lev 23:27  Also, on the tenth of this seventh month, this is a day of atonement. It shall be a holy convocation to you. And you shall afflict your souls and offer a fire offering to Jehovah.

Lev 23:28  And you shall do no work in that same day, for it isa day of atonement, in order to make an atonement for you before Jehovah your God.

Lev 23:29  For any soul who is not humbled in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

Lev 23:30  And any soul who does any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.

Lev 23:31  You shall do no kind of work. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Lev 23:32  It shall be to you a sabbath of rest, and you shall humble your souls. In the ninth of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your sabbath.

He is very specific and there are no exceptions.

Some people will then quote Isaiah as their reasons for not fasting. They say they can go and do good deeds on this day or serve in a soup kitchen feeding the poor. How ironic that on the day Yehovah says to fast that they go and feed the poor.

True and False Fasting

Isa 58:1  Cry aloud, do not spare, lift up your voice like a ram’s horn, and show My people their rebellion, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Isa 58:2  Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and one who did not forget the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in drawing near to God.

Isa 58:3  They say, Why have we fasted, and You do not see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and You take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and crush all your laborers.

Isa 58:4  Behold, you fast for strife and debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness; you shall not fast as you dotoday, to make your voice to be heard on high.

Isa 58:5  Is it such a fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast and a day pleasing to Jehovah?

Isa 58:6  Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed ones go free, and that you break every yoke?

Isa 58:7  Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your own flesh?

Isa 58:8  Then shall your light break out as the dawn, and your health shall spring out quickly; and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Jehovah shall gather you.

Isa 58:9  Then you shall call, and Jehovah shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, Here I am. If you take the yoke away from among you, the pointing of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Isa 58:10  and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.

Isa 58:11  And Jehovah shall always guide you and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones fat; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.

Isa 58:12  And those who come of you shall build the old ruins; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Isa 58:13  If you turn your foot because of the Sabbath, from doing what you please on My holy days, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of Jehovah, honorable; and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

Isa 58:14  then you shall delight yourself in Jehovah; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed yourself with the inheritance of Jacob your father. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.

There are many teaching on Isaiah and many more on fasting. I believe we are not to eat or drink for 24 hours from sunset to sunset as He has commanded. There should not be any debate. Period. And yet each year there is.

But why do we fast on this day and we are commanded to fast only on this day?

We have been repenting for these 10 days of Awe and now on this Day of Atonement Judah reads the Al Chet confessions. I urge you all to do the same.

The Text of Al Chet

(The “Al Chet” confession of sins is said ten times in the course of the Yom Kippur services: Following the Amidah of the afternoon prayers of the day before Yom Kippur; just before sunset on Yom Kippur Eve; and twice during each of the following services—the evening service of yom Kippur eve, and the morning service, the Musaf service and the afternoon service of Yom Kippur day—once at the end of the Silent Amidah, and once during the cantor’s repetition of the Amidah.)

For the sin which we have committed before You under duress or willingly.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by hard-heartedness.

For the sin which we have committed before You inadvertently.

And for the sin which we have committed before You with an utterance of the lips.

For the sin which we have committed before You with immorality.

And for the sin which we have committed before You openly or secretly.

For the sin which we have committed before You with knowledge and with deceit.

And for the sin which we have committed before You through speech.

For the sin which we have committed before You by deceiving a fellowman.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by improper thoughts.

For the sin which we have committed before You by a gathering of lewdness.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by verbal [insincere] confession.

For the sin which we have committed before You by disrespect for parents and teachers.

And for the sin which we have committed before You intentionally or unintentionally.

For the sin which we have committed before You by using coercion.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by  desecrating the Divine Name.

For the sin which we have committed before You by impurity of  speech.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by foolish  talk.

For the sin which we have committed before You with the evil  inclination.

And for the sin which we have committed before You knowingly or unknowingly.

For all these, God of pardon, pardon us, forgive us, atone for us.

For the sin which we have committed before You by false denial and lying.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by a bribe-taking or a bribe-giving hand.

For the sin which we have committed before You by scoffing.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by evil talk  [about another].

For the sin which we have committed before You in business  dealings.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by eating  and drinking.

For the sin which we have committed before You by [taking or  giving] interest and by usury.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by a haughty demeanor.

For the sin which we have committed before You by the prattle of our lips.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by a glance of the eye.

For the sin which we have committed before You with proud looks.

And for the sin which we have committed before You with impudence.

For all these, God of pardon, pardon us, forgive us, atone for us.

For the sin which we have committed before You by casting off the yoke [of Heaven].

And for the sin which we have committed before You in passing judgment.

For the sin which we have committed before You by scheming against a fellowman.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by a begrudging eye.

For the sin which we have committed before You by frivolity.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by obduracy.

For the sin which we have committed before You by running to do evil.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by tale-bearing.

For the sin which we have committed before You by swearing in vain.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by causeless hatred.

For the sin which we have committed before You by embezzlement.

And for the sin which we have committed before You by a confused heart.

For all these, God of pardon, pardon us, forgive us, atone for us.

And for the sins for which we are obligated to bring a burnt-offering.

And for the sins for which we are obligated to bring a sin-offering.

And for the sins for which we are obligated to bring a varying offering [according to one’s means].

And for the sins for which we are obligated to bring a guilt-offering for a certain or doubtful trespass.

And for the sins for which we incur the penalty of lashing for rebelliousness.

And for the sins for which we incur the penalty of forty lashes.

And for the sins for which we incur the penalty of death by the hand of Heaven.

And for the sins for which we incur the penalty of excision and childlessness.

And for the sins for which we incur the penalty of the four forms of capital punishment executed by the Court: stoning, burning, decapitation and strangulation.

For [transgressing] positive and prohibitory mitzvot, whether [the prohibitions] can be rectified by a specifically prescribed act or not, those of which we are aware and those of which we are not aware; those of which we are aware, we have already declared them before You and confessed them to You, and those of which we are not aware — before You they are revealed and known, as it is stated:The hidden things belong to the Lord our God, but the revealed things are for us and for our children forever, that we may carry out all the words of this Torah. ForYou are the Pardoner of Israel and the Forgiver of the tribes of Yeshurun in every generation, and aside from You we have no King who forgives and pardons.

Again I ask you why do fast on this day?

When we go to Lev 16 we can read all the things the Priests are to do on this day.

The Day of Atonement

Lev 16:1  And Jehovah spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before Jehovah and they died.

Lev 16:2  and Jehovah said to Moses, Speak to Aaron your brother, that he does not come at all times into the sanctuary within the veil before the mercy-seat, which is on the Ark, so that he will not die. For I will appear in the cloud on the mercy-seat.

Lev 16:3  Aaron shall come into the sanctuary this way: with a bull, a son of the herd, for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

Lev 16:4  He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches on his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen miter he shall be dressed. These are holy garments. And he shall wash his flesh in water and put them on.

Lev 16:5  And he shall take from the congregation of the sons of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

Lev 16:6  And Aaron shall offer his young bull of the sin offering which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself and for his house.

Lev 16:7  And he shall take the two he-goats and present them before Jehovah at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Lev 16:8  And Aaron shall cast lots on the two he-goats; one lot for Jehovah and the other lot for a complete removal.

Lev 16:9  And Aaron shall bring the goat on which Jehovah’s lot fell, and offer it for a sin offering.

Lev 16:10  But the goat on which the lot fell to be the complete removal shall be presented alive before Jehovah, to make an atonement with him, to let him go for a complete removal into the wilderness.

Lev 16:11  And Aaron shall bring the young bull of the sin offering which is for himself, and shall atone for himself and for his house, and shall kill the young bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

Lev 16:12  And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Jehovah, and his hands full of fragrant perfumes beaten small, and bring it within the veil.

Lev 16:13  And he shall put the incense on the fire before Jehovah. And the cloud of the incense shall cover the mercy-seat that is on the Testimony. And he shall not die.

Lev 16:14  And he shall take of the blood of the young bull and shall sprinkle with his finger on the front of the mercy-seat eastward. And he shall sprinkle at the front of the mercy-seat seven times from the blood with his finger.

Lev 16:15  Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people, and bring its blood inside the veil. And he shall do with that blood as he did with the blood of the young bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy-seat and before the mercy-seat.

Lev 16:16  And he shall atone for the sanctuary, because of the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins. And so he shall do for the tabernacle of the congregation which remains with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.

Lev 16:17  And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goes in to make an atonement in the sanctuary, until he comes out and has made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

Lev 16:18  And he shall go out to the altar that is before Jehovah and make an atonement for it. And he shall take some of the blood of the young bull, and of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around.

Lev 16:19  And he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel.

Lev 16:20  And when he has made an end of reconciling the sanctuary and the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, he shall bring the live goat.

Lev 16:21  And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the sins of the sons of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send away by the hand of a chosen man into the wilderness.

Lev 16:22  And the goat shall bear on him all their sins to a land in which no one lives. And he shall let the goat go in the wilderness.

Lev 16:23  And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall strip off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the sanctuary, and shall leave them there.

Lev 16:24  And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself and for the people.

Lev 16:25  And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn on the altar.

Lev 16:26  And he that let go the goat for the complete removal shall wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

Lev 16:27  And the young bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall they carry forth outside the camp. And they shall burn their skins in the fire, and their flesh and their dung.

Lev 16:28  And he who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

Lev 16:29  And it shall be a statute forever to you: in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you shall afflict your souls and do no work at all, the native and the alien who is staying among you.

Lev 16:30  For on that day an atonement shall be made for you, to cleanse you, so that you may be clean from all your sins before Jehovah.

Lev 16:31  It shall be a sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.

Lev 16:32  And the priest whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest’s office in his father’s stead, shall make the atonement and shall put on the linen clothes, the holy garments.

Lev 16:33  And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar; and he shall make an atonement for the priests and for all the people of the congregation.

Lev 16:34  And this shall be an everlasting statute to you, to make an atonement for the sons of Israel for their sins once a year. And he did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

And we can then read Revelation and learn about how the very events pictured on this day are going to come true in the near future.

The Thousand Years

Rev 20:1  And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

Rev 20:2  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.

Rev 20:3  And he cast him into the abyss and shut him up and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little time.

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor his image, nor had received his mark on their foreheads, nor in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years.

The Defeat of Satan

Rev 20:7  And when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison.

Rev 20:8  And he will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle. The number of them is as the sand of the sea.

Rev 20:9  And they went up over the breadth of the earth and circled around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of Heaven and devoured them.

Rev 20:10  And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The events of Lev 16 are the very same events told to us in Rev 20. And by seeing this you will know and no longer debate whether or not the Azazel Goat is Satan or Yehshua. It is Satan plane and undeniably simple to understand.

Are we fasting because Satan is locked away and then later because he is destroyed? We should be rejoicing. Why do we fast on this one day and only on this one day?

We have been reading in this Newsletter and for the weeks leading up to the Day of Atonement the confessing of our sins. It is Yehovah who blots out our sins.

Isa 43:21  This people that I formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise.

Isa 43:22  But you have not called on Me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of Me, O Israel.

Isa 43:23  You have not brought Me the lamb of your burnt offerings; nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not caused you to serve with an offering, nor wearied you with incense.

Isa 43:24  You have bought Me no sweet cane with silver, nor have you filled Me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened Me with your sins; you have wearied Me with your iniquities.

Isa 43:25  I, I am He who blots out your sins for My own sake, and will not remember your sins.

When we repent Yehovah says He will not remember our sins.

Jeremiah 31:34  And they shall no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.

In Lev 16 we read what was done with the sins and upon whom they were placed

Lev 16:21  And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the sins of the sons of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send away by the hand of a chosen man into the wilderness.

Lev 16:22  And the goat shall bear on him all their sins to a land in which no one lives. And he shall let the goat go in the wilderness.

This is the Azazel Goat. This Goat represents Satan who brought sin into the world. The sins are placed back where they came from and then this goat is removed and thrown into the pit. This is the very same thing that rev 20 is telling you that is going to happen.

But before the Priest laid hands on this goat he killed the other goat first. Why? Why did that Goat die first?

Heb 9:19  For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

Heb 9:20  saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has enjoined to you.”

Heb 9:21  And likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry.

Heb 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood, and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Heb 9:23  Therefore it was necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves were purified with better sacrifices than these.

Heb 9:24  For Christ has not entered into the Holy of Holies made with hands, which are the figures of the true, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

Heb 9:25  Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, even as the high priest enters into the Holy of Holies every year with the blood of others

Heb 9:26  (for then He must have suffered often since the foundation of the world), but now once in the end of the world He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Heb 9:27  And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment,

Heb 9:28  so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. And to those who look for Him He shall appear the second time without sin to salvation.

Lev 17:11  For the life of the flesh is in the blood. And I have given it to you on the altar to make an atonement for your souls. For it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

The blood from the Goat that was killed is used to make Atonement for the Tabernacle and all the people of Israel. The Goat’s blood is needed to make Atonement and had to be killed first so that it was ready to be used after the Azazel Goat was removed.

Again I ask why? Why are we doing all of this?

We just read how Moses sprinkled the blood over the books and the people when we read Hebrews. What was that about?

It was a blood Covenant.

The term “cutting the covenant” comes from the Hebrew word “BERITH”, which means to make a covenant by cutting to make the blood flow. This act is usually referred to as “cutting the covenant” and is performed in a sacred ceremony because of the tremendous significance of the event.

The blood covenant is the most binding covenant any two people or groups of people can enter into. Once committed to the only way out of it is by the death of one or both of the covenant makers. It is something that is never entered into lightly.

The cutting of the animals is exactly what was done when Yehovah made the covenant with Abraham. And the entire event at Mount Sinai was another blood covenant event. This was our Marriage covenant with Yehovah. The keeping of the Ten Commandments is a blood covenant.

By the laws of this covenant, the party that breaks the covenant is to be killed for the breach. We have broken this covenant and are guilty and libel for paying with our lives. Now understand what Yehshua said and meant in John 15.

Joh 15:12  This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Joh 15:13  No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Joh 15:14  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

Now go back and read the very first things that happen in Lev 16.

Two Goats. The Priest could not tell which was which. Only Yehovah could do that by lots. Satan is trying to look like Yehovah. Satan even today has people think the scapegoat is an innocent goat. He is not. Some of you think the Azazel goat is Yehshua. It is not!

The one goat, the Azazel Goat represents Satan. The other Goat represents Yehovah. And it is killed first so that its blood could be used to Atone the Tabernacle and the people. Do you grasp the importance of this one event that is so carelessly read over?

The Goat that represents Yehovah demonstrates to us that Yehovah is going to be killed because of our sins to atone for us. Yehovah loved us so much that He died in our stead. Yehovah paid the penalty that we should have paid with our own lives. Yehovah did that for us. He did not substitute someone in His place. Yehovah paid for our sins with His own life. Think about that.

Isa 12:2  Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.

Isa 25:9  And one shall say in that day, Lo, this is our God. We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

Isa 33:2  O Jehovah, be gracious to us; we have waited for You; be their arm in the mornings; our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Isa 49:5  And now, says Jehovah who formed Me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob again to Him, Though Israel is not gathered, yet I shall be glorious in the eyes of Jehovah, and My God shall be My strength.

Isa 49:6  And He said, It is but a little thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to bring back the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light to the nations, to be My salvation to the end of the earth.

Isa 49:7  So says Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation hates, the servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, rulers also shall worship, because of Jehovah who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You.

Isa 49:8  So says Jehovah, in a favorable time I replied to You, and in a day of salvation I have helped You; and I will preserve You, and give You for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause them to inherit the wasted inheritances;

In each of the instances above and many more I did not quote, the word for Salvation is;

H3444   (Strong)
יְשׁוּעָה

yeshû‛âh

yesh-oo’-aw

Feminine passive participle of H3467; something saved, that is, (abstractly) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity: – deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.

Yehshua is the Hebrew name for Jesus our Messiah that was killed on a tree to pay for our sins.

I also want to point something else out to you. As I search for the word Salvation I came across the following verse.

Isa 62:1  For Zion’s sake I will not be silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until its righteousness goes out as brightness, and her salvation as a burning lamp.

I am showing you that the person we thought was Jesus whose Hebrew name is Yehshua was the one and only one Yehovah. Yehovah was and is Yehshua. Yehovah is our redeemer and our Aleph and Tav. But then I noticed the expression Yehovah our salvation, or Yehovah our Yehshua is a burning lamp. That takes me right back to the covenant made with Abraham and when Yehovah walked between the pieces He did so as a burning lamp.

God’s Covenant with Abram

Gen 15:1  After these things the Word of Jehovah came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, I am your shield and your exceeding great reward.

Gen 15:2  And Abram said, Lord God, what will You give me, since I am going childless, and the steward of my house isthis Eliezer of Damascus?

Gen 15:3  And Abram said, Behold, You have given no seed to me. And behold, one born in my house is my heir.

Gen 15:4  And behold, the Word of Jehovah came to him saying, This one shall not be your heir. But he that shall come forth out of your own bowels shall be your heir.

Gen 15:5  And He brought him outside and said, Look now toward the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

Gen 15:6  And he believed in Jehovah. And He counted it to him for righteousness.

Gen 15:7  And He said to him, I am Jehovah that brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this land to inherit it.

Gen 15:8  And he said, Lord God, by what shall I know that I shall inherit it?

Gen 15:9  And He said to him, Take Me a heifer of three years old, and a she-goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

Gen 15:10  And he took all these to himself, and divided them in the middle, and laid each piece against one another; but he did not divide the birds.

Gen 15:11  And when the birds of prey came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

Gen 15:12  And it happened as the sun was setting, and a deep sleep fell upon Abram. And, behold, a horror of great darkness fell upon him!

Gen 15:13  And He said to Abram, You must surely know that your seed shall be a stranger in a land not theirs, and shall serve them. And they shall afflict them four hundred years.

Gen 15:14  And also I will judge that nation whom they shall serve. And afterward they shall come out with great substance.

Gen 15:15  And you shall go to your fathers in peace. You shall be buried in a good old age.

Gen 15:16  But in the fourth generation they shall come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

Gen 15:17  And it happened, the sun went down, and it was dark and behold, a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp passed between those pieces.

So why do we fast on the Day of Atonement and no other day?

We fast on this day because on this Day Yehovah our creator was killed to make atonement for the covenant of blood that we should have paid for with our own lives. He loved us that much that He gave His own life for us. He gave His life for you.

So why do we not fast at Passover?

Each and every sacrifice represented Yehovah giving His life for our sins. Sacrifices were made on each Holy day and every day of the week. They all represented Yehovah dying for us. So why not fast for each one of the Holy Days? It would make common the supreme importance of the event depicted on this day. That event is that Yehovah paid for our rebellion with His own life. That Satan who tried to look just like Yehovah was identified and exposed and cast out.

Like the Goat that was killed first, Yehovah as Yehshua was killed at Passover first. And after the second goat, the Azazel goat that represents Satan, then and only then after it is removed can the Tabernacle be atoned for. You are that Tabernacle.

No greater love is this than a man lay down His life for his friends.

Let me point out another observation. The goat from the Bull that represents the High Priest was not sprinkled on the Mercy seat. Only the blood from the Goat was. The Goat that represented Yehovah was the only blood to be sprinkled on the Mercy seat.
